Great for families

By Jasmine W |

First let me start off by saying that I understand this is a newer restaurant with new staff so I am being lenient with my review. With that being said, I did enjoy myself and the experience that came along with eating in a restaurant like this. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon (after this was suggested to me on Yelp) and was told the wait for two would be about an hour. This was our only plan for that day so we decided to wait for a table. We checked back in after about 30-35 minutes and the hostess tells us our table was actually ready. Great! As we walked to our table, I noticed some tables could seat six and others were more intimate with seating for two. We were seated then greeted by our waitress who then explained how to order, cook, and how to add on anything thing you wanted to go with your meal such as sauces. We decided to go with the hot pot and barbecue meals which were both delicious. The meat was tender for both the hot pot and barbecue and the hot pot broth was spicy and flavorful. Since this restaurant recently opened, I'll give grace with my rating but I do want to point out that we didn't receive several of the items that we ordered like some vegetables and it took a really long time for my fiancé to receive the meat he order for his hot pot. I would normally give four stars because of those but because the experience was awesome and would definitely come back again, I'll give five stars and hope for improvement the next time I come in. I hope this place sticks around so that I can bring people from out of town here!

Fun, but…

A fun experience, but food quality is just not quite there. Some elements are similar to Korean BBQ, but several are not. Also, salt and pepper on meat does not make it bulgogi 😅 Server was attentive and professional. Wanted to give 3 stars but I appreciate the efforts that go into the restaurant, and hope to see more Korean elements introduced over time, along with better quality meats.

Happily over-served!

We did not overeat. We were overserved. They brought sooo much meat and seafood and vegetables and we grilled them to charred perfection. We had such a fantastic time, with such a selection of “sauces.” Tori, our server, was new but so enthusiastic about making us personalized sauces for the table. We enjoyed good food, great conversation, great music, cool TV channels, and will happily come here again. This place is great for couples, friends, families and business. They have a great birthday song that they sang multiple times throughout the evening. We’re pleased to easily recommend this place for a fun loud time.

A great Birthday Lunch

This is the second time coming to Kpot and it did not disappoint. Xavier was our attentive, helpful, and friendly waiter. He would check on us often to see if we needed anything else. As well as had great customer service skills that is not common nowadays. The food was delicious 😋. Definitely recommend to people who love Korean bbq and hot pot. My family and I got the miso soup base with all the mushrooms, rice cakes, ramen noodles that hold the flavor of the soup after it’s cooked, the quail eggs, thin sliced beef , and tofu skins. For the bbq we chose the marinated meats especially recommend the pork belly , enoki mushrooms , pumpkin , and thinly sliced beef selection. The music was also a great level that we could also talk each other. This was a wonderful Birthday lunch with an awesome birthday surprise from Kpot that you will just have to enjoy when you go eat there.

The best all-you-can-eat Korean restaurant restaurant in San Antonio.

I’ve been eating Korean food for over 50 years. Have lived in Korea for three years and have visited Korea about 25 times. I’ve sampled Korean barbecue in Tacoma, WA, Las Vegas, NV, etc…. I really liked the way this restaurant is structured and the literally countless combinations options for soups, meets, sauces, etc… Everything our group of four experienced deserved a five star.
