Kabobzi restaurant

By Ahmed Salah Saad |

Amazing experience❤️. I usually came with my friends and and the guy (his name is Gaith) treated us as VIPs and even offered us watermelon and tea on the house. Very kind treat and very delicious tasting middle eastern food. Actually we tried almost all the signature platters and I recommend Lamb Kabob Platter, Shish Tawook Platter, and Mixed Grill Combination. Moreover, they have the most delicious garlic sauce and hummus in whole Austin. Probably the best in Austin for food quality and price, they also offer 15% discount for UT Austin students. I really enjoy being there ❤️

Such a beautiful place..

Ever since I have arrived in Austin, I have been looking for a good place to eat familiar food. I tried Kabobzi once with my friends and since that day we have been visiting it so often that it’s now “our place” as we always say. Gaith is always welcoming us with his big smile and friendly vibes. The food quality is one of the best I have ever tried. He always treats us to additional plates. I tried many dishes and they are all great! It is now our place to go when we invite someone special or when we need to have some quality time together in a lovely atmosphere. I hope we can always keep visiting this place ❤️

Nice

My daughter ordered a gyros from here. She said it was yummy. It had all the fixings and they gave her extra sauce which was nice. I can’t wait to go back and try for myself. I had a small taste and it was definitely yummy.

Fantastic Mediterranean milieu

By Michele M |

You can read a prosaic version of my review from 2/19/21 below but here is my updated, poetic version: Kabobzi Ziad, a proud son of the seafaring land of the Phoenicians Which has a Cedar tree, a holy symbol of eternity and peace On crimson-banded cloth displayed as a most wondrous apparition, He made the famous Eastern hospitality his steadfast centerpiece. Zi and his family own an inviting restaurant, a culinary jewel, Kabobzi is the name, a casual Mediterranean milieu, Where all are warmly welcomed to enjoy, to savor and to fuel Their life with bursts of flavors, fragrant spices and allure. Their friendly generosity and care to make each guest well-greeted, To make each one feel comfortable, satisfied, well-fed Will make you want to come as if to see old friends, and dutifully repeat it, Inhale the mouth-watering aromas and break bread. Michele Mitrovich 02/19/21: This is a fantastic and highly recommended place for delicious Mediterranean food! Their falafel and fried cauliflower florets are amazing, and Baba Ghanouj is one of the best I’ve had anywhere, very smoky and flavorful! The Vegetarian platter is a vegan/vegetarian’s dream! The service is very fast and the place itself is immaculately clean. However, the best part is how incredibly nice, friendly and helpful their whole team is. One time some cheese accidently ended up in my vegan delivery order. I called them right away and the owner Ziad was so incredibly kind, he quickly made me another platter and delivered it to me himself, in person. Next time I came he gave me a free hummus (which by the way is delicious!). They really take care of you and make you feel welcomed. Such a wonderful place all around. Highly recommend!

Was okay

We stopped here for dinner. We were looking for something more on the "healthier" side of things and within walking distance from our hotel. My wife and I split an order of grape leaves which we enjoyed. The sauce that came on the side was very mild but very good. Our daughter and I ordered the Beef Shawarma over a Greek salad. The beef came to the table steaming hot (not so where you couldn't eat it) in a container separate from the salad. Our daughter ate a few bites of the beef and said that it was very tough and left more than 3/4 of her container. She did eat all of the salad. She then placed an order of the Meat Rolls, which our son had ordered as well because he said he wasn't hungry, which came two to an order. They both ate their meat rolls without hesitation. I thought the Beef Shawarma and salad was good. I too, found a couple of pieces of beef that were very "fatty" and tough to chew. But the flavoring on the meat was good. My wife ordered Kafta over the Greek salad and said it was good.

Big Tasty Gyro

By Steve D |

This was my first visit to Kabobzi. I ordered the Gyro with a Greek salad and baklava. The gyro was large, stuffed with meat, fresh, and tasty. The Greek salad was side salad sized and delicious. The baklava was the perfect portion, soft, moist, and tasty. They don't have sweet tea- shame! The service was fast and friendly. They have ample indoor seating. The prices are comparable to similar restaurants.

This is definitely the best Mediterranean food restaurant in Austin. By far it is the most authentic place. The food is very tasty with a reasonable price and good portions. I will surely go to the signature platters, i have tried all the signature plates and they all tasted very good

BEST Mediterranean in TX!

By stephanie |

We were not expecting to have such exceptional service and meal! One of the best Mediterranean meals we’ve had in a long time! Coming from Dallas that has many halal options this place far exceeded our expectations. We will be back, Inshallah! Also the owners took great pride in their establishment and were very kind.

Great value

My wife and I were starving and spotted this place as we were driving by on Burnet Road. We ordered the gyro over rice which was marvelous (and not just because we were hungry). The meat was tasty and plentiful. The rice was cooked perfectly. There
