This place is popular with the senior set but don't let that stop you. The portions are huge, the prices are reasonable and the soups are pretty darn good

had seafood combo, fluonder, shrimp, scallops, fluonder had a fishy taste, shrimp was hard, scallop was large but eatable, also had mussells it was in tomatoe sauce not marina, mussells were good, also had manhattan clam chowder, it was terrible had not eaten at kellys for years very dissapointed i will stick to red lobster

Just awful! Waitress was so unhappy it was miserable. It was like we were bothering her just by showing up. Then the horrible food started coming out. Mushy, like mashed potatoes, lobster tail. Old brown salad falling off a tiny plate. My little daughter's French fries were hours old. Ice cream was freezer burned. My son's fish had no flavor. Cold hard rolls that you could break a window with. Sad because I've been going there since 1980's. Never again.

Kelly's Seafood has a good selection of foods which include seafood of course, Italian food, chicken and steaks. In addition, soup or salad is included with your dinner. I have tried almost all types of food there and have never had a bad dinner. Kelly's, when crowded can be very noisy. There is a separate bar and two dining rooms. The food is good and the service is good.

Kelly's opened for business a year after I was born and I've probably been eating there for 25 or 30 years and it seems like a long downhill descent to me. The menu, always very old-fashioned, has been updated a little, but only a little. The interior hasn't, which doesn't really matter to me. For the past decade or even more I've only been there for lunch once or twice a year and it's always been mediocre, but last night we tried it for dinner for the first time in many years and it was mostly just sad: two entrees and three sides and only one winner. That winner was a side of pepper hash, which my companion loves and that Kelly's clearly doesn't make itself. My broiled stuffed shrimp was three shrimp swimming in a little boat of some kind of stew that was stuck under a broiler. The flavor wasn't bad but it in no way resembled stuffed shrimp. My penne with marinara side was bland, but I expected that. My companion's fried shrimp was right off the Sysco truck, which is unacceptable from a place that bills itself as a seafood restaurant, and was totally unseasoned. I didn't have to bite into one of her French fries to know that it was seriously undercooked (and when I mentioned to someone else that I had just been to Kelly's she said "Let me guess: undercooked fries"). Even the cocktail sauce for the shrimp, my companion said, was not good. Service was not great, but mostly because they didn't have enough servers and the ones they had needed to work too many tables. To top it all off, the floor was sticky. If the hostess had been at her stand when we were leaving I was going to throw a ten dollar bill at her and suggest that she go out and buy a mop.

It was our first time at Kelly's. We got the shrimp crab cakes and stuff shrimp. Excellent. Food was great and the prices were great. We have been to many seafood places but Kelly's is the best. I recommend everyone to come here. The staff was so nice.

Calamari aka rubber bands, Clams Casino incredibly SALTY, Grossly overpriced and very rude staff I can safely say I or my Family WON"T be back

We have been going to Kelly's for 30 plus years and have noticed a general decline in service and quality lately. Tonight was probably the last time we will go there. Granted we did go for the early bird specials but we expect quality equal to all other menu items. Several years ago we went there with friends we wanted to impress and sat for over an hour because a new server forgot about us. But we forgive. Tonight my wife had crab cakes with salad and two sides. I had deviled crab with soup and two sides. Both crab offerings were thick and sticky with minimal flavor. The mixed vegies looked like they had been sitting on a steam table since lunch and the salad was equal to something you find in the bottom of the crisper drawer after a week. The mushroom soup was ok. Desserts included chocolate mousse and was only a distant cousin to chocolate or to mousse. Service was marginal at best. A good service person would have refused to serve the salad or the veggies because the tip depended upon it. Price was cheap but was too much for what we were served.

Kelly's has been there for many years. Specializes in seafood dishes, but also has many meat dishes as well. We love the shrimp salad and many times we stop in for take out. Look for many specials. Food is very good and entree usually comes with either salad or soup, 2 vegetables. there is also a bar in front. Has a loyal following and deservedly so.

Heard neighbor talking about going to Kelly's for dinner. Hadn't been there for many years since we moved a little further away. After seeing they had a midweek early menu(B4 6pm) we decided to try again. Well it couldn't have been much better & reasonable price. But waitress service started super, but slower later when busier. Wife had excellent stuffed broiled shrimp and I had excellent broiled tilapia. Included was soup or salad, 2 veggies, coffee & desert. I also loved the zucchini marina & roasted potatoes. Also, the bar provided me with an ice cold draft beer

I've been going to this place for over 10 years. I love how their happy hour is every day but wish they had happy hour prices for cocktails and not just food. Food is good and a selection is great. You normally see the same bartenders and wait staff so that shows that they like working there.

Kelly's special appetizers 4-7 is perfect after work. Service from Cathy is great.Other staff seem cheerful.Food Was tasty. Amount was just right. My only dis like was finding a seat at the bar

We took my mother and 11 other people to Kelly's on Sunday. The food was very good. everyone was pleased with their entrees. The service was excellent for a large group and meals came out in a timely manner. We also had appetizers that were very good. My wife thought her crab cake had too much filler but that was the only negative comment out of 12 people.

A neighborhood restaurant and bar that has been serving great seafood for decades. Tough to get a seat on the weekend but arrive early and no issues. The extensive menu offers early bird all inclusive pricing until 6pm even on Saturday. Other choices are numerous and delicious. Open every day except Monday for lunch and dinner.

Food has been consistently good...both fried and grilled entrees...portions are large and served piping hot or cold (shrimp salad), not lukewarm as in some places...snapper and shrimp bisque are excellent...servers are pleasant and helpful

I went here with a good friend and our sons. To start we had stuffed mushrooms which were amazing lots and lots of crabs. For entrees we had a steak, bacon cheddar burger, Cajun mahi mahi and broiled Cajun scallops. The steak was good but came out underdone this was corrected immediately. Bacon cheddar burger was good. I really loved the scallops. Unfortunately someone really messed up the mahi and it was completely raw. This was replaced with crab cakes which were great. They made it right by not charging for the mahi or the crab cakes. Overall a good meal.

I've been going to Kelly's for years, off and on, for dinners with family. Food was always good. Lately my husband and I have been hitting their Happy Hour a couple of times a month on Saturdays - the best thing about it is that it's every night from 4-7 p.m. - half priced apps and beer specials - it really can't be beat! Not sure if the drink prices are reduced, they might be. But even if they're not, they are worth every penny - particularly the lemon drop martini! Nice bar atmosphere - not too loud, cozy, and the bartenders are friendly. There's a reason Kelly's has been around for so long - go check it out, you won't be disappointed!

We started with the bruschetta appetizer,,it needed some seasoning. We had entrees with different seafood on them. I will generally state that everything was bland and over breaded. Cold cocktail shrimp had no taste. Service was slow also. Overall it was a poor experience for my family and we did not enjoy it. I did notice that they had an additional sandwich menu, perhaps they are over expanding the selection. Just concentrate on making GOOD seafood. I will not be back.

Our family has been going to Kelly's for years. They have a very good early bird menu that offer many choices. Everything is homemade and have never been disappointed. Service has always been good.

I've been here many times with my family and the food is always great. Had fried scallops the other night and my dad had broiled scallops. They were very large and sometimes that means they are tough but these were perfect. Kelly's has an early bird dinner that goes to 6:00 I believe. Lots of variety on the menu. The waitstaff has always been wonderful. Just the right touch of caring and checking back with you. I love to go to Kelly's when I'm in town. They also have a banquet room upstairs.

We have been going to Kelly' for over 20 years. I was surprised how few reviews there were since Kelly's is packed every time we go. The food is consistently good and reasonably priced. My wife and I went with her parents last night and caught the early bird special. I had the Chicken and Shrimp Creole, which had a wonderful sauce which was both sweet and spicy. My wife had broiled stuff shrimp, stuffed with Crab Imperial with lots of crab. My mother in law had fried scallops and my father in law had fried shrimp. Both said it was good and they had plenty to eat. I have noticed one thing over the years. If you order an entree that is stuffed with crab imperial, there is a lot of crab. If the stuffed item is part of a combination platter, however, the crab stuffing seems to contain a lot more filler.

I visited Kelly's for the first time in many years. I used to go there with my parents when they were living and resided in the area. The decor has been updated since those days. It is primarily a seafood restaurant, but they do serve other things for the landlubber. I was there alone for an early dinner. I ordered the Fried Oyster and Crab Salad combo, Shrimp Bisque and Key Lime Pie. Everything was excellent food-wise. Prices are decent (even better because I had a Groupon, which is actually how I came to return after so many years). The only comment I have that is negative in a minor sense is that the waitress was not very friendly. She really didn't make me feel like I was welcome. It was 3:00 in the afternoon. The place was not busy, so you'd think since I was alone she would have been more talkative or at least cheerful with me. Anyway....other than that I enjoyed my dinner and will return even without a Groupon.

Early bird special with great fried combination seafood special at an attractive price. Good service, clean and attractive surroundings and nice family type clientele. We have put Kelly's on our favorites list.

We had a funeral luncheon for my Mom this past Saturday, July 30, 2022. The staff at Kelly’s was wonderful. From when I called to plan it to when we walked out everyone was very nice and helpful. The food was excellent, restaurant is warm and welcoming, and staff was courteous and kind. Thank you for making a sad occasion so much easier to deal with.

I don't understand Northeast Philadelphians. I guess because NE Philly has only one restaurant worth visiting (Three Monkeys) the one's that do exist are tolerated. With that in mind, Kelly's could only exist in NE Philly because anywhere else where standards exist it would have been condemned long ago. That said, more power to my NE Philly brethren who find value in paying for what I can do better at home for much less.

My wife loves seafood and I don't so although I have lived in Philadelphia all my life, this was my first visit to Kelley's. I took my wife there for Mother's Day and it was a great experience. Although they specialize in seafood there was plenty of other choices on the menu. I had the veal parmigiana which was delicious and it was sliced not chopped, the sauce was perfect. My wife had a seafood medley that include a petite lobster which she said was the best she ever had. All for a great price and the service and ambiance were very good too. They were even given complimentary desserts to the mother's. I will definitely be returning, often.

We had a funeral luncheon there, and there were well over 50 people. All of us were served good food with great service. Drinks from the bar were good, and restrooms were clean.

I take my family of 5 here 1 Sunday every month. I wouldn't say it's fine dining (and they don't pretend to be). But the food is still very good. The portions are big. And the prices are very reasonable. I try other places, strictly for variety, but this is my favorite. Plenty to choose from the kids menu. And the early bird deal (pretty much all day on Sunday) is Fantastic! Other franchises might be better 'themed'. But for the quality, quantity, and value, this place can't be beat. Super friendly servers, too.

If you want to starve and wait forever for your food go to Kelly's. I went for the all you can eat Dungeness crabs special from 7 to 10pm. Considering there is a time constraint and the restaurant was empty we waited 40 minutes for our food. We kept being told the food would come soon. After 40 minutes we were starving and so disgusted we left. The manager was not apologetic and very cavalier about us waiting. They do have some good food but they lost our business!

It's Saturaday night a no one can decide what they want.Settled on Kelly's seafood.Surprisingly we were able to enjoy early bidr specials.Entres ordered included Flounder stuffed with crab or broiled scallops.Someone orderd cajun salmon which was very spicy. All food was very good. Definitelyworth returning.Place was very clean and staff was attentive.

We stop in every couple of weeks when visiting my sister-in-law. Like their big and varied menu.....seafood, variety of sandwiches, good bar, and good service. Usually start off with a well made cocktail.....followed by the soup of the day, always very good; and my favorite a very good Snapper soup. A wide variety of seafood platters, all very good, especially fried shrimp, scallops, crab cakes and usually a daily special. They come with the soup, and two veggies. Prices are moderate.

This restaurant was recommended by a family friend and I have to say I found it quite disappointing. The seafood selection was not very good. Their calamari fritti was extremely bland. I wanted shrimp and scallop fettuccini in Alfredo sauce but was told the chef would not use Alfredo sauce on fettuccine, only on the penne pasta and so, I ended up changing the pasta so I wouldn't have to pay an extra $6 for a side of Alfredo. I wasn't very happy. I won't be revisiting and would not recommend. Not impressed at all. Server was very sweet and agreed that the restaurant rules were very odd and not very accommodating. She was merely doing her job.

I and my wife love seafood and we fine that they have a good variety and fresh fish.also they have a complete menu not just seafood .good food great service.the portion were good.

We ate dinner at Kelly"s seafood several times Food is OK, nothing special. Last time the waitress was very annoying and we felt rushed. But, happy hour at the bar area is totally different. This restaurant has great appetizers at half price and beer specials. We will be back for that!!

I've patronized this Kelly's once before in 2010 with not so great results, but I thought by now things would have changed. I had a taste for a seafood dinner (but not fast food) and I wanted "take out". So I thought I'd give Kelly's another shot, so I checked their menu online and decided what I wanted the "seafood pescatore" for 17.75, (it's a blend of shrimp, scallops, mussels over linguine). I called at 7:08pm and was told 1/2 hour. I arrived at 7:45pm (37 minutes later). When I arrived at the hostess station, (which was unattended) and I waited for a minimum 5 minutes (it's now 7:50pm) before anyone showed up to greet me. When the hostess showed up, I told her I was picking up a take out order and the hostess stated "give me a second and I'll check your order for you". The hostess went into the rear of the restaurant for no less than another 5 MINUTES. I figured since she was taking so long she was preparing to bring my meal back with her but when she came back she stated "they're working on it for you. SERIOUSLY, 10 minutes after I show up 30 minutes later they are still "working on my order". I'm a very patient man so I just took in the sites and said OK and I'm looking around and I notice the bar is empty and the restaurant isn't really busy, as I see open tables all over the restaurant. Once again, the hostess goes back into the rear of the restaurant and comes out about 5 minutes later with my order (it's now after 8:00pm and remember I placed my order at 7:08pm). To make matter worse, when the hostess finally does com back with my order she proceeds to tell me 23.95... plus tax = 25.10.. I'm not a confrontational guy, that's what I pay CC company for, so and I knew the price online was 17.95 and at this point I just want to eat and I'll deal with that issue later... No more, Never again... Kelly's Seafood has lost me for a customer for life...Sad, since the food was actually good this time.

Me and my family went here after my mother's funeral because they could accommodate us. Anyway, the food was not good. First, the soup was nasty, but the side salad wasn't bad and the waitress was great. Second, the parmigiana chicken tasted low quality and like microwaved. Third, the decor is old and outdated. I can go on and on. Not impressed and will never go back.

We visited your restaurant this evening (4/10/2014) and had a bad experience. We arrived at 6:10 pm and were seated right away. The waitress took our drink order immediately and that was the last we saw of her. We waited until 6:25 and still had not received our drinks (coffee and water). While we were waiting, the waitress waited on a table that was seated after us giving them their drinks and took their order. When we saw that we got up and left. We told the girl at the front what had transpired and her only comment was “sorry”. We have been to Kelly’s many times over the years and have always had a good meal and good service. This will probably be our last time.

We have been going to Kelly's for many years but sort of forgotten it the last several months. We went there last week and it is as good as ever. They specialize in seafood, but have meat and chicken, etc. I love their combination platters and my personal favorite is shrimp salad and flounder. Platters come with choice of soup or house salad. Two vegetables come with the platter and there are about a dozen to chose from. drinks are extra but platters and such are fairly priced. They do have early birds during the week. Closed Monday

Haven’t been to Kelly’s in a very very long time. Last time I was here our daughter almost lost a tooth on something in the salad. Glad that didn’t happen this time. I had the clams and muscles with linguini and my wife had broiled flounder. Meals came with soup or salad, beverage and dessert. Muscles were huge. Larger than I’ve seen in a long time. The food was very good and the service was good not much has changed on the interior. Very nautical. I’ll try to get back here more often.
Mediocre at best
Heard some good reviews about Kelly’s and decided to try it out one evening with friends. The waitress was nice, but the service was slow and food wasn’t worth the wait. Food was overcooked and “gummy” and over salted. Drinks were not refilled when we asked. Had to ask multiple times. Pretty disappointed. You’d think that with the pandemic and restaurants trying to stay in business, there would be better customer service and quality. Next time I want seafood, I’m sticking with Bonefish Grill or Red Lobster...
