Decent place for casual dinner

By Joe S |

It is located within a strip mall with many other restaurant options. Kenny's has decent food at reasonable prices. The service was excellent and the wine list, while small, is also well priced. I had the chicken marsala. The chicken was a little over cooked and the sauce had too much sugar. It was more pasty than I expected for a marsala sauce. They allow you to do split portions on most entrees, so you can enjoy two different dishes if you have a hard time deciding. I'd go back, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Yum!!

By Angie P |

Quaint, low-key Italian restaurant with top-notch personalized service. I had an excellent pasta dish with chicken, artichoke, bacon, and mushrooms, and they actually strained the capers out of the sauce for me. :) it was excellent!! They also offered 1/2 - 1/2 where you could try two dishes. (Not sure if they do this all the time.) The chopped salad was also fantastic!

Wow!!

By lovefood |

I chose Kenny's for my birthday dinner. I had a group of 23 and couldn't afford the thousands it costs at other restaurants to have this big of a group. Right away when I called Kenny's for my reservation they were accommodating and asked questions to decipher what I might need. We were placed in a back room that pretty much felt private! I loved the environment when I stepped in. It seems like your neighborhood local italian place and felt extremely homey. It quickly became crowded as the night when on. The staff were friendly and the restaurant smelt amazing!! The staff made it look effortless to serve my table of 23. We didn't have a long wait for anything!! We ordered the garlic bread. This was not ordinary bread, though. There was something unique about it and it was devoured by the table. I was recommended the lamb with a wine reduction and parmesan risotto for my meal and I cannot recommend it enough! I still dream about the meal. It was so decadent. The flavors just blended perfectly together. This restaurant is just perfect for a fun weekend night or a special occasion. Kenny's can do it all! I will be coming back throughout the year and most likely for my birthday this year as well.

Great food, good service

By Linda P |

The food was good, service friendly and efficient. Alcohol and food pricing was very good. Cannot fault for a casual meal out and would recommend.

Very good family dining experience!!

By caribbeanDallas |

Our family of 4 stopped in for dinner and was very pleased with the menu offerings. The staff are all very pleasant/friendly and from the moment you walk in you can tell locals like to dine here. The italian bread served was warm and tasty, not hard and chewy. I enjoyed the East Coast Linguini which was one of the best butter garlic sauces I have ever had!! Generous portion of shell fish too. Other entrees ordered were Lasagna, Chicken Parm, and Pizza all very good. The Bellini Martini was superb. Observations that doesn’t get this restaurant 5 stars is 1: the ambience is conflicted: With picnic styled tablecloths, many many framed pictures on the wall (overkill to be honest) it screams “down home” family/neighborhood flare but then there’s is dim lighting almost dark atmosphere for some odd reason, but this is definitely not a setting for a romantic date night dining experience. 2: Bathroom also needs more frequent checks as trash was overflowing and tissue debris all over the floor.

Awesome spot for a team dinner

By Brooklintraveler_12 |

We had an awesome team dinner at Kenny’s. They were able to accommodate of group of 41. The food was delicious, the service was awesome and overall it was a great experience. It is hard to please such a large group but we all left happy.

Okay but fell short of Kenny's fame

By Tracy V |

Kenny's Italian Kitchen is okay as far as Italian food goes. However, nothing about the food or atmosphere especially stood out to me. Of course, I am a huge fan of Kenny's Wood Fire Grill and also love his Burger Joint so perhaps my expectations were overrated. Good food, just nothing to write home about.

Amazing!

By trooper0309 |

Three of my friends and I are here tonight based on previous TripAdvisor reviews. It definitely did not disappoint. I had lasagna and cheese ravioli. One of my friends said it was one of the best meals he'd ever had. Our server was also fantastic. Don't miss this place!

Awesome Food!!!!

By millfam3 |

This was our first time to eat here and we were not disappointed. The food was phenomenal! The cheesy bread was awesome! The lasagna was awesome. The chicken alfredo carbanero was awesome! The service was awesome as well. The whole staff took good care of us, especially our waitress, Angelina! She even brought our son a special treat for his birthday. The manager even gave our son a birthday present. We went on a Saturday evening and went wish we had made a reservation but waited about 10 minutes and they were able to get us a table. We are already making plans to go back again.

WORST RESTAURANT IN PLANO

By Paul W |

My wife and I visited Kenny’s East Coast Pizza for lunch. We regularly frequented Kenny’s other local restaurants. Kenny’s ECP has the worst service of any restaurant I’ve ever patronized. The food is mediocre, and certainly not worth putting up with the horrendous service.

Local Italian

By snoopysister |

This must be a popular neighborhood eating place. It was crowded on a Thursday night. Nothing wrong with it but since I live in the NY metro area where we have many Italian restaurants, the food was not particularly authentic. Service was good, menu was extensive but if its not your neighborhood go to, skip it.

Amazing ambiance!

By Valerie B |

Fantastic service, food was spectacular, exceptional quality of drinks. Split your pastas for maximum satisfaction! I had the ziti and lasagna, my boyfriend had the asiago gnocchi and the mushroom ravioli. Add on brushetta and some dessert and you have a Fantastic meal. Bon appetit!!

Traditional Italo-American style dishes done well

By DougGleaner |

When you crave Italian food this is the place your taste buds and stomach are really thinking about. They expertly handle all of the favorites and are willing to split dishes so you can try two entrees. Loved the prosciutto-wrapped around the cheese sticks. Will come back with our kids and out-of-towners.

Tremendous Service

By DavidT07 |

On Friday, four of us had lunch at Kenny's. The service was great and the food was excellent. We immediately ordered food for the 42 people we fed tonight. While carrying one of the trays of spaghetti with meatballs (it was heavy), the tin collapsed and the entire tray that feeds 20 hit the ground outside our hotel where we were holding our event. Sadly, I sent our team couple back to buy another tray. Much to my delight they returned in less than 10 minutes with a brand new tray, complimentary of Kenny's. What a blessing! I made sure everyone in the room knew it was from Kenny's and the kindness they showed our group. Oh yeah... everyone loved the food too!!!

A true "hidden gem" in Addison; Kenny's Italian Kitchen will not disappoint!

By Robert B |

In Dallas again for business, decided to treat myself to dinner after a long day of meetings and driving. Since I was staying near the Quorum area of Addison, I decided to look around the Villages area for a place to eat. I ran smack into Kenny's, sat down at the bar and was transported 6,000 miles across the Atlantic and into the heart of Italy. Great food, wonderful service, and it is truly on my "will come back soon" list for my many trips to the Dallas Metroplex area. Wow!

My first visit....NOT my last!

By Schultz79 |

Absolutely wonderful.......Had the calamari to start, and it was as good as I ever had! Crispy, but very light and not with a hint of oil.....Truly excellent. Then had the eggplant parmigiana and it too was fabulous, as was the chicken special - with capers & lemon - and the side pastas were equal to the task. Very nice, simple, decor with terrific service.....We ate at the bar, and our bartender, Bechka, was fun, made some excellent observations & recommendations, and was generally fun person to chat with.

Skip the garlic bread

By James & Beth |

The food is pretty good. I wouldn't say OMG. I would skip the garlic bread for $5. Too much garlic butter, swimming. Sausage & Peppers enough to share. Mushroom ravioli probably better with shredded ham instead of processed ham cubes. Still tasty. Use the app to make a reservation. Place packs up quick. 30 minute wait for Wed. evening. Pay the $5 for valet parking. Spots are hard to find.

Best Bruschetta

By Jessica C |

The food here is excellent - hands down the best bruschetta. I love that the restaurant is more low-key and cozy. Shout out to our server Cedric for excellent service as well.

Great Atmosphere, Service outstanding and good food.

By ANDRE TS1966 |

Great Atmosphere, Service outstanding, and good food. We had Calamari as an appetizer, Sicilian Shrimp, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Shrimp Scampi as entrees. Food is outstanding and portions are huge. The service is excellent.

Great place with great food

By Gary B |

On a recommendation we tries this place over another one in the area. I had the bruschetta appetizer and the pork tenderloin medallions. I dont remember having it with grape tomatoes before but it was delightful. The aged balsomic and fresh shaved cheese made it for me. The pork with capers olives and basil cream sauce was soooo good. I was getting full but had to have another bite. The bread was really good too

Excellent food and service!

By Caroline P |

Excellent food and service. I went with my daughter and her in laws around Christmas. Our server, Kyle was awesome! I can't say enough about this place and this server!!! I look forward to visiting again when I'm in Dallas.

Sooooo Good

By Susan T |

Great food and atmosphere. Loved how the6 took our photo for the wall, it even sure where they had room to put it. Delicious Italian food with great service from attentive staff. Highly recommend!

Delicious

By Lance T |

Food was absolutely delicious. If you are looking for scratch Italian cooking in a warm environment and great customer service, Kenny’s is the place to go.

Delish!

By Felicia W. |

This was a very cozy, laid back spot that I enjoyed. The ambiance made me feel relaxed, but so did the drinks. Lol. The food was great.

Great spot, casual, best Italian

By creek222 |

Jonas was our waiter, ask for his Manager, Liz, to be seated in his section. Such a tasty sounding menu, yet, Jonas was "spot on," about recommending which meal we might prefer. Liz will make certain you're happy...and we couldn't have been happier w/food, wine, great bread, and tiramisu IMPORTED from Italy...wow. Tell Jonas the Hog fans sent u, n he will REALLY set u up on the tiramasu!!! We will be back for the food, n Jonas n Liz!! You're awesome. Ty.

Fun atmosphere

By Janice F |

Enjoyed our dinner and wine not too expensive. Ordered mushroom raviolis for an appetizer for us. Good choice

5+ Stars!

By A J |

We LOVED this place. It was a little hard to find in the shopping complex, but SO worth the little hunt! 😃 The food is incredible, the price is right and the service is EXCELLENT!

Must go to!

By Colleen K |

This place is worth it 100%. The food was excellent & the server was so nice & to top it off we had a special occasion (a graduation) & the owner came over & acknowledged the graduate & even gave her a congratulations card. She was so nice & treated us like we were someone special. We all left smiling.

Great Food and Service

By c3a3m3 |

First, make reservations. Secondly if you have to wait at the bar, enjoy the bread with oils and the meatballs. The Meatballs are the best. The bartender got us an extra bar stool. Joey Logue, the managing partner, was most helpful with food selections and desserts. Our server, Karl (better known as Krazy) was most attentive. After enjoying Fettuccine Alfredo and Veal, we discussed with Joey the desserts. I really wanted berries on top of cheesecake. He headed out the front door in a flash. I didn't know he was in search of berries. After 10 minutes searching 3 near restaurants, he returned without success. I was amazed as I never had ANY manager go to this extreme. We got 2 other desserts to go and we were surprised when we got the bill that the desserts were complimentary. Definitely a place to go....ask for Joey and Karl. Don't forget to make reservations.

The Best...

By cubertnine |

The food is as good as it gets, the service is better and the experience is second to none. If you're looking for a great evening, just find a Kenny's. I've never had a bad meal at this location and they've always exceeded every expectation. What is even more impressive is that they do this while keeping menu prices relatively reasonable and they get you in and out of the place pretty quickly. Food is always hot and the bread is wonderful while you wait. Try the shrimp scampi or the chicken marsala. The cannoli is just incredible and you can expect to hurt yourself with the cheese sticks.

Awesome Food Awesome Service

By Kymberlye J |

The hubby and I were in the mood for Italian food so I Googled "Best Italian food in Addison" and Kenny's came up. It had pretty good reviews so we decided to give them a try. Mannnnnnn. The food was amazing. Everything was hot and fresh and AUTHENTIC. Not anything like Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. We got the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were phenomenal. I got the Sicilian Shrimp and Fettuccine and hubby got the Chicken Parmesean. They both were delicious. Our sever was Terrance and he was great. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Amanda another server brought our food out and she was great. If you are in the mood for great Italian food and top notch service, come to Kennys.

Amazing food!

By Patrick P |

The best Italian food I have ever eaten. Great location and great service. Very clean, warm and inviting. Will definitely eat here again.

Great Italian at a Great Value

By Susan M |

True Italian with all your favorites! Start off with an order of Bruschetta. Love all the traditional dishes (we prefer chicken) - Marsala, Picatta, and Parmesan. If you are on a low or no carb diet, no problem. They have great sautéed spinach or mixed veggies to sub for the pasta side. And, also, whole wheat pasta, which is hard to find, as an alternative. Their red sauce (marinara) is delicious and authentic. If you go more than once they store your preferences in their computer. Absolutely, finish with the fabulous turtle cheesecake. Great Italian atmosphere. Always busy, so reservations are good. We love it for our Italian food fix!

Delicioso

By Shanitra M |

Mom, daughter of myself went to dinner here at Kenny's on a Sunday evening. Yes, we had a reservation and was Sat immediately. I must say, super impressed with the service. Our server, Alexis, was A+.....simply awesome!!! She has set the standard for others now. And the food, from the bread to the balsamic oil, to the salmon, meatballs and lasagna......we left completely satisfied. It was suggested we go to Kenny's Wood Fire but extremely glad we ended up here instead (I'll go to your Wood Fire soon though). Superb job! Will definitely come back to try your other dishes and for your Martini Monday!!!

Yummy find!

By wildfine |

We were visiting a different part of Dallas and wanted to try something new. Kenny's was a great find. We were seated promptly at a low lit table and approached quickly by our waitress. She was helpful with drink and appetizer selections. Our dinner came out timely and was delicious. We shared a dessert of turtle cheesecake that was fantastic! I would recommend Kenny's and hope to visit again when I am back in the area.

Kenny's Italian Is A Winner

By rsrubin11 |

Ate there last weekend. The Osso Buco is one of the best in DFW. My friends enjoyed their meal as much as I did mine. This place has been consistently good every visit.

Come hungry!

By S m |

We enjoyed dinner at Kenny's Italian. We had a reservation which I recommend because it was quite busy even on a Sunday evening. The restaurant has a cozy neighborhood atmosphere. Our server was helpful and friendly. Don't look for pizza or a dinner salad here. The entrees include spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, gnocchi, and meat, chicken and seafood dishes. The bread that comes after your drink orders was warm, soft and fabulous. The server prepares olive oil and balsamic for dipping. Don't fill up on bread, though, because the entrees will stuff you! Our table orders included, chicken parmesan, lasagna, gnocchi asiago, chicken scaloppini, and Italian chopped salads. All were delicious. Most entrees come with spaghetti, olive oil and garlic. The pasta was perfectly cooked, fresh and tasted straight from an Italian mama's kitchen. All of us were full and walked away with doggie bags big enough for another meal. We ordered tiramisu to bring back for a houseguest. It looked fabulous, and I don't even care for tiramisu.

Great dinner tonight, thanks!!

By MeXwIlL09 |

Calamari was pert, as was the fried cheese. Service was excellent, wait was short. Entee was excellent as well!

Great Christmas Lunch!

By C B |

I took two of my coworkers here for a pre-Christmas lunch. I had made my reservation at Open table and we were seated right away. The food, atmosphere and service were excellent! It was a really cold and cloudy day and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. We had enough food for left overs that night. We will be back!

Satisfying Dinner with Family

By jonahNJ |

During a recent visit to Texas, I went out to dinner with my family to celebrate my niece's birthday and newly announced pregnancy. Kenny's Italian Kitchen was a great family friendly place to enjoy a good meal. Note that this restaurant is located in a very business strip mall complex and can get congested, particularly during the weekend. However Kenny's takes reservations and we were able to be seated as soon as we arrived. I started out with a slice of the cheesy garlic bread. This is a delicious appetizer, which could be a light meal itself. The spices blend well with the cheese and is almost the definition of comfort food. For my entree, I selected the veal parmigiana accompanied by spaghetti with an olive oil and garlic sauce. The veal parmigiana was very good--it is prepared with the bone in which I found gives it extra flavor. It was generous enough to make for a second meal. The spaghetti was also tasty; I preferred the lightness of the olive oil and garlic sauce which was not overly oily and a nice complement to the veal. I enjoyed this, my first meal at Kenny's Italian Kitchen. It was a great place for good food and good conversation.

Nice place, nice people, OK food

By Brenda N |

Everyone at Kenny's was delightful - from our hostess, Isabella, to our waitress Chelsea, they made us feel very special. Chelsea is the epitome of a great attendant; she was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. She was right there every time we needed anything. She explained the night's special (I can't remember the name, but it had cheese inside a macaroni shell with shrimp, cheese, and a creamy sauce with a touch of red sauce). It sounded scrumptious! My husband wanted to try "Joey's bolognese" sauce on angel hair.. Chelsea warned that Joey's bolognese is a little "smokier" than regular bolognese (since it has a little bacon in it), but he decided to give it a try. Since neither of us are big eaters (anymore), Chelsea suggested a "split entre" where we could get a half order of one, and a half order of the other, so we jumped at it. She then brought out two plates with a little of each on each plate...perfect! I got the chopped Italian salad, and my husband chose the Italian side salad. Everything was good, but nothing was great. I wish I could say that both items were as good as they sounded. Others may just love them, but we were a little underwhelmed, especially after Yelp called this the best Italian restaurant in Dallas. Don't want to scare others away; the place, ambiance, restrooms, staff...everything was top drawer, but maybe we were just expecting too much. Price was reasonable for the quality.

Outstanding

By Frank N |

As a New Yorker, I don't expect to find great italian food when I'm in Dallas Kenny's was an unexpected surprise Outstanding service with a personable touch Excellent food, reasonable prices and pleasant decor The veal parm on the bone was excellent as was the bruschetta and the meatballs No room for dessert this time, we'll have to try again next time

Perfection in every bite!

By Shilo M |

The food here is simply amazing. Starters were their fresh bread cooked to perfection and delicious. We then had bruschetta and that was amazing. For the main plate we ordered chicken parmigiana and this was perfection in every bite! Must try!

Two visits in one week

By gogigi2014 |

I have been wanting to try Kenny’s for some time, and I’m so glad we finally went-twice in one week! The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. Dana served us on our first visit, and Ryan was our waiter today. They were both great! I plan on returning for the $5 martini Monday and trying yet another entree.

Gluten free or not, this is the best!

By travelwiseMiss |

Italian and gluten free usually don't go together....unless you are at Kenny's. They have a wide variety of selections and all but a couple of dishes can be made gluten free. They also have gluten free bread. My friend is not gluten free and she enjoyed it just as much as I did. We have a very knowledgable waitress. It was a wonderful dining experience and I will definitely go back when I am in town again.

Very nice place but crowded and busy

By czmdivenut |

Very good food and service - parking is there but best use the valet since spaces can be hard to find.

A Taste of Italy

By HNBISOFF |

Kenny’s Italian Kitchen was excellent. Kenny’s is not your ordinary Italian restaurant-it is better. The bruschetta was excellent, the salads were great and the mains were awesome. The tiramisu was better amazing. There is another trip to Kenny’s is the future.

Good Food - Good Service

By Jack2148 |

We had an early dinner here this week. If you arrive before 6pm you can get in fairly easily. After that you need a reservation. Food was good as you can find in Dallas. The service was professional. We will try this again.

Great Italian food with top knotch service

By Vanessa R |

We went to Kenny’s for our anniversary dinner. The service was great, and our waiter and manager both went out of their way to ensure our meal was delicious and that our experience was perfect. The food was delicious, and they allow you to get half servings of meals if you can’t decide between two options. We will definitely be back!

A Nervous waiter?

By David G |

My friend loves this place and wanted to take me there for lunch. It was a bit crowded, but we were seated within 10 minutes. The hostess was very nice. Our waiter came to our table and took our drink order and stated he would bring us some bread while we decided on our meal. He returned, minus our bread, and took our order. Our food arrived promptly. I highly recommend the bolognese, it is excellent. Our waiter did stop by in passing to check on us. We both laughed about no bread. My friend described our waiter as nervous. When he brought our check and returned, he told us to have a good night, then corrected and said afternoon. I guess I can sample the bread on my next visit.

Yet another Home Run from the Kenny's team!!

By billshafer1 |

Once again, gotta give mad props to Joey Logue and the staff at Kenny's Italian Kitchen!! Not only was tonight's special **out of this world** - but the service all evening was totally on-point! From the mgr. on duty stopping by our table to welcome us, to our server & the service all night. And to top it all off, they went the extra mile to look out for a couple of old forgetful geezers like us: (a) returning my credit card to me after I left it in the folio, and (b) calling & texting to alert us that Mike left his to-go box of leftovers on the table. Folks, it just doesn't get better than this!! :D Run, do not walk, to Kenny's Italian Kitchen for a wonderful dining experience!!!

Consistently good

By Michele L |

Good food, good service, good feel. Staff very personable. Many servers have been there for years. Says a lot about the Kenny’s brand! The MOST accommodating restaurant EVER. Guests are allowed to try pieces of appetizers and have 1/2 of two meals on one plate. What a great way to try several items. Prices are reasonable and portions are hearty. My husband and I have very different tastes but enjoy trying new things. Apps are all good. Favs- Stuffed mushrooms for me, bruschetta for my husband. He really likes the marinated tomato halves. Favorite summer entree for both - shrimp Florentine. Light and fresh. Our server, Amanda is fantastic! She addresses us by name and makes suggestions. Super sweet and takes pride in her table service. We are big fans of Kenny’s concept restaurants and will be regulars and Kenny’s Italian Kitchen. Ask for Amanda if you go. She will take great care of you.

Great service & yummy Italian!

By Phyllis W |

Seated & served quickly. Halfway through our perfect martinis-we were brought 2 frosted glasses which our drinks were pored into to freshen👍 We took adamant age of eac ordering 2 x 1/2 portions so we tasted 4 dishes for the price of 2 AND each took about 1/2 to go. (Eggplant parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, fettuccine carbonara all wonderful. Would go back!!

Really nice restaurant!

By Dubai2222 |

We walked in without a reservation, super busy Sunday night. Sat at the bar for 10 mins and then escorted to a table. (Had a house beverage, a sangria which was really good!) Very friendly service from Kyle, thanks a lot. Food was delicious also. We enjoyed. Huge portions of course! Very cozy restaurant, would definitely go again.

Phenomenal customer service

By Hamdi K |

Jason & Ford were able to take care of 20 individuals with so much ease, smile and great customer experience. Their attentive skills were out of this world.

Always a great choice!

By Tabatha J |

Kenny's Italian is my favorite of all the Kenny's restaurants! I have been taking office guests here for years and everyone is always super happy with their menu choice! I love the salmon and the gnocchi are my favorite. Last night I decided to switch it up and enjoyed a Gorgonzola Salad. Chock full of Gorgonzola crumble and topped with a creamy Gorgonzola dressing, the genoa dances nicely with the freshness of the grape tomatoes. I paired the salad with the Banff Chianti which is a smooth, light red for only $5 during happy hour. I was excited that my dinner companion went with the gnocchi. The basil pesto blends well with the bits of chicken and artichokes. You will wish there was an option for seconds! Always a great dinner choice in Addison!

Great Place to Eat

By FDMChianti |

I can’t say enough good things about Kenny’s. Very unassuming place that just has excellent food. The bread, olive oil and balsamic that they bring as a table appetizer could make a meal. We had the Calamari as an appetizer and it was a large portion and cooked to perfection. The Caprese salad was a very large tomato with smoked buffalo mozzarella drizzled with Pesto and balsamic and was very tasty. Our mains were Osso Buco and Veal Marsala and both were very tender and delicious, although I felt the Osso Buco didn’t need the wine sauce on it. We will certainly eat here again!

Always a Winner

By plantotx |

Kenny's Italian Kitchen has a delicious menu that keeps up with the times...a great regular crowd and always a wonderful meal and service. Be sure to come hungry as portion sizes are very generous. Wait staff is extremely friendly and ensures that you will have a nice evening. Patio can be closed to keep this seating option open in wet or cold weather. Enjoy!

Mehtalian

By rhpatt29 |

This was very disappointing. We had a table for four. Service was excellent. Our waitperson deserves to be able to serve better food. The ambiance is good. We were able to carry on a good conversation. The baked ziti was not good. It had limited flavor and an over load of ricotta. Lots of sausageIt was warm but not hot. The baked lasagna was worse. No flavor and loaded with ricotta. The salads were very basic. No big deal. The chopped salad was chopped iceberg with some cheese thrown in it and a piece of sun dried tomato. The Caesar salad was barely average. I have had a Stouffer’s frozen lasagna that would put this to shame.

Kyle is great!

By Regina W |

Kyle is awesome, always kind, attentive, and goes above and beyond! His excellence along with great food makes us repeat customers.

Casual Stress Free Dinner

By Nomad747118 |

The service was fantastic from the hostess stand to the servers. Angelica and Karl are the best servers around! This time we came in Angelica serves us. She made great recommendations on food and wine and is very personable and sweet. The mussels were delicious and we would go back for them. I had the bone in veal parmisagna which was good, but the sauce was bitter for my tasting. Almost as if it was burnt or had too much tomato paste. The tiramisu was good.

Delightful afternoon

By Angela |

Absolutely amazing. I came with a friend I had not seen in many years. The staff was friendly and asked us what brought us there and we explained that this was the first time we had seen each other since 1983. They brought us a complimentary appetizer (bruschetta) and it was some of the best I have ever had. We were encouraged to order two half orders if we were undecided between two items so we definitely did this. The portions were large and I can guarantee we did not leave hungry. Our waiter was attentive and kept our glasses filled. Even though we sat and talked for over 3 hours, we were never rushed. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend Sammy’s ravioli with fettuccine sauce.

Good Italian fare

By Andreya W |

I would recommend making a reservation if going on a weekend. The place was packed and our wait was about 40 min. The waiting area is small and tight. The drop in a star is that when our table was "ready", it had two high chairs and the floor covered in strewn spaghetti noodles. Waitress sat us at the table next to it since that wasn't acceptable. She was the highlight (I think her name was Chelsea). Funny, quick, and on task. We ordered the calamari. It was average. The cheese bread was delicious. For entrees we had chicken fettuccine, chicken parmesan, fettuccine carbonara, and the lasagna. You can customize any dish! Mushrooms were added to the lasagne and it was delicious. Portions are huge and we all took our leftovers home. The waitress even packed them up for us. Nice touch! We had the tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. All in all, good Italian fare.

Great lunch, bring your appetite

By TXdirt |

Met a friend who was coming through Dallas on business, he likes italian food so i grabbed us a table at Kenny's. It was excellent, but the portions are so large neither of us could finish our meals, and we aren't small guys. I had the chicken parm sandwitch and my friend had a large salad with grilled fish. Both were cooked well and had a good presentation on the plate. I highly recommend this spot for a good meal. It's usually crowded so a reservation is suggested.

Always best service

By Jeff Janak |

Food service always good...can count on all Kenny's restaurants! We love Kenny's Grill most with food and best bar service...bartenders always give best service!!

Just ok...

By DallasTraveler17 |

Met here for a midweek date night. There was no wait and the environment was cool. It wasn't very intimate and you can easily overhear other's conversations when speaking at normal appropriate volumes. Service was fast and our server was very attentive. He was new, but eager to go find out answers to our many questions. Food was just "ok." It wasn't as decadent and rich as I consider most Italian dishes to be.

Good Italian food

By luv2snorkel26 |

We had really good friendly service and in a clean pleasant Italian atmosphere. The food was what we would consider good Italian. However I did find the Veal Osso Bucco to be very tender and the mushroom parmesan risotto to be exquisite. My youngest son enjoyed the chicken parmesian. My oldest son tried the Ravioli speacial filled with spare rib which he devoured. This is a moderately priced restaurant.

First time and not my last time

By gracielaccuster |

Kennys Italian Grill is excellent. I had veal marsala. My mom had salmon with a delicious side of pasta that she shared with me. The atmosphere is comfortable and we had friendly service. Try dining at all the Kennys restaurants. Kenny's Italian Kitchen, Kenny's Wood Fire Grill and Kenny's Burger Joint.

Nice meal in Dallas

By Raymond G |

Based on trip advisor reviews we chose to dine here and we were not disappointed. It is well liked by the locals based on the crowd. The lasagna was huge and tasty. The service was excellent and attentive. A great choice.

First time here but not the last

By Robert C |

We were visiting the Dallas area staying with our grand daughter looking for some good Italian food. Went out to TripAdvisor and found Kenny's. Based on the reviews we decided to give it a try and am I glad we did. The fettuccine alfredo was wonderful. My grand daughter and wife split the ravioli and they both thought it was fantastic. Service is good and the atmosphere is old time Italian. My wife always loves the tiramisu and she was not disappointed with this. Next time we are in Dallas we will go back for more.

Our Go To Family Italian

By glenagrit |

We dine at Kenny's Italian at least every 10 days. Just consistently great southern Italian family style dining. Portions are large. Definitely enough for sharing or big appetites. Staff is fantastic. Everyone is friendly and welcoming from the minute you walk in you feel like your in your own home with family. Love this place.

HUGE portions

By Travis T |

We stopped in without reservations on a Wednesday and only had to wait about 20 minutes around 8pm. The waiter was extremely funny and personable, quick to check on us, and provided great service. The calamari was very tasty. The sausage and peppers dish was very large, a little on the bland side, and overcooked. It had lots of pasta, and a fair amount of sausage, but hardly any vegetables. The brownie sundae was recommended, and excellent.

Great Casual Italian Restaurant

By Bill R |

We took another couple here for my wife's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Bekah, our waitress was perfect. She made some great recommendations for food and wine. For an appetizer, we had the bruschetta . It was truly outstanding. You can combine plates, so my wife had lasagna and ravioli. Our friends had the chicken scaloppini and linguini carbonara. I had the evenings special veal scaloppini. All the dishes were excellent as were the house red wines. I recommend you either come early or have reservations since the fill up.

Walked out - didn’t even order because my daughter and her friend were treated rudely by hostess

By Blueberrikid |

If I could I would give ZERO stars for service...So disappointed- after checking reviews of several restaurants in area we were excited to try Kenny’s. However we walked in on a Tuesday evening after seeing they closed at 10 pm so we knew at 8:45 we would have time to be seated. However we were expected by the hostess to have a reservation when nowhere does it say reservation needed. When we told hostess we don’t have one and my daughter not being able to hear because of the noise level was then given attitude by the hostess. My daughter didn’t say anything or make a big deal and we were seated in the enclosed patio area. But my daughters friend did let hostess know she felt she was being a bit rude to her friend and was then asked by the hostess if our table where we were being seated “was good enough” for us. It came across as if we were complaining about the table but it was her attitude and she was like fine enjoy yr meal and then it appeared to us she was telling the waiter about us as no one came to us as we sat waiting and finally after several minutes and her giving us the stink eye we just got up and left. Well Kenny you were screwed over by your own employee on this one!!! First impressions go along way and we will not be back...

Good to know

By TexasBelletravel |

Anyone who reads my reviews knows any Kenny’s location is my favorite; just depends which we are eating at the moment. They are known for their Lasagna, during our last visit the Manager said if you call 2 days ahead you can order it Gluten Free! Yes-GF peeps their is hope for us to be able to eat fantastic Italian. Oh, and the meatballs are GF too. Great place, best customer service of any restaurant we’ve eaten.

Very good Italian foos

By Dmh165638 |

Excellent service and food.. Drinks were very good and bread was right out of the oven. My chicken scalipini was super. My wife really enjoyed her bollegnese bow tie pasta.

SO GOOD!

Best Italian food in Dallas! The service was outstanding. We sat on their patio and fantastic cocktails and dinner. Would totally recommend this place!!!!

Italian done right

By MDNied |

Our experience here is always positive. The staff is friendly and efficient. The recipes are very tasty. The full bar is a benefit. Reservations recommended. Parking can be an issue. Overall a nice place to dine.

Italian Nirvana

By Erica S |

We were little disappointed to find it in a shopping center but that didn't last long! The atmosphere was fabulous as soon as you opened the door. Warmly greeted and immediately seated. Our waitress was great - even went to see my name and greeted me by it. (We had made reservation on open table). Calamari was perfect. Cocktails quick and precise. Waitress guided us and then offered the gift for the undecided - she split the plate - veal piccata and shrimp scampi! Loved it. Delicious!!!! Good work Kenny whoever you are.

Highly recommend!

By Melissa H |

A friend recommended Kenny's and I'm so glad she did! Incredible experience all around! We went to Kenny's for a celebration and we were treated so well - with awesome service. We also love the option to "choose 2" - as people who are always indecisive, the half-and-half entree is such an appreciated perk of Kenny's. We will definitely back to celebrate or just for date night!

Kenny's doesn't disappoint!!!

By Alicia R |

This is our first time in Dallas and we were looking for some good Italian food. We found Kennys and decided to give it a try after reading other reviews. Needless to say the reviews were very deserving. The food was incredible. Great pasta, well cooked and spiced perfectly. They clearly have perfected the correct way to cook pasta. The staff were equally impressive. Our waitress, Amanda, was one of the nicest people we have met in Dallas. The manager was also great and really made an effort to make sure our visit was to perfection. I highly recommend this to anybody looking for great service with great food.

Just the atmosphere we wanted. Great Food. Excellent waiter.

By okie179 |

We wanted a quiet Italian restaurant with excellent food for a recent visit to Dallas. Kenny's exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, the ambiance was what we had hoped for, and the waiter we had was so attentive and made suggestions that enhanced our meal. This restaurant is a definite "re-do." TIP: MAKE A RESERVATION AS THE RESTAURANT IS SMALLER AND FILLS UP QUICKLY. Also, the portions are large.

The Real Deal!

By Jo Ann R |

I have eaten at a LOT of Italian restaurants, good and bad, but this one offers the real deal! Oh my gosh! Everything from the bread and oil at the beginning, to the main course, to the final dessert, was absolutely delicious! The service was amazing and Aaron, out waiter was always right there with drink refills and basically waited on us hand and foot. I highly, highly recommend!!

Wonderful bread and service

By Maureen B |

The food, especially the bread, was delicious. The Italian margarita I had needed more Amaretto and less lemon. Service was great and the restaurant was very clean.

Best Italian food in years!

By Karen M |

My family was visiting Dallas and went to Jenny's after reading its rave reviews. Went on a Tues. evening, about 8pm. It wad packed (I hadn't made reservations, so I recommend making reservation before hand, especially for 4 or more). We were greeted with huge smiles and genuine, warm greetings at the hostess station. The place was PACKED. It seemed like a smallish dining room, but there were plenty of tables with bright, cheery red and white checkered table cloths. There is an outdoor patio for eating, but we sat insid3. We were seated immediately. The tables all had candles, other than that, the only light came from the bar area. It wad quite dim! The waitress came within minutes for drink orders. They have large variety of alcoholic beverages, but none of my party got any. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Got our drinks minutes later, then soon after she took appetizer orders. I can recommend highly the garlic bread and the meatballs. The garlic bread was 1/2 a loaf, cut into 6 pieces. Delicious, but if you are with more people get more than 1! We ordered lasagne, spaghetti and "Midnight" meatballs, and chicken Alfredo. "Midnight" because the chef discovered the reciepe at midnight! Everything was SO delicious. It all arrived so quickly, but it was all well made, puts Olive Garden to shame. Huge portions, fresh ingredients, and so tasty! Everybody was extremely satisfied. Dessert was tiramisu, spumoni, and the chocolate cake (gluten free). Superb all. So don't miss this spot if you want awesome Italian while in the Big D. Moderate prices, tip your your waitstaff well, because every one of them were angles. Dress is casual. This would be my go to place if I lived here! Make reservations!

Top 5 Italian - EVER!

By Dave L |

So Italian and Texas...yeah, after spending years in the Northeast, I thought I was never going to find that place that knew how to do "Americanized" Italian in Texas. In fact, I had resigned myself to "Maggiano's isn't terrible" and "that local place is actually pretty good." Well, those can ride the pine for a while because I have found the Italian food to eat in Texas. Went to Kenny's on a Friday night (made reservations - NECESSITY), and wanted to go back on Saturday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is not a place that rushes you, sit down, order some wine, sip away, order appetizer, sit longer, order entree...enjoy the little things in life. Well, service was great, selection was great, food was FANTASTIC! The fried prosciutto wrapped mozzarella - yep; the baked ziti - yep; the eggplant parm - double yep! Politely rolled out the door for not a Christmas present foregoing amount promising to tell the world of the wonders of Kenny's. Go get 'em!

The Delicious Italian

Went here on my birthday and had a delicious blast. Meatball Appetizer, Veal, and the Dinner Special for night was perfect. Wine was fresh and the espresso with Sambuca Romana was the perfect end.

In Dallas? Don't wait for luck, make reservation

By sandra n |

Unfamiliar with what restaurant to pick just driving around the area, we happened upon Kenny's and went in by chance. Wow, we really liked the feel as soon as we entered, very nice and cozy, very homelike Italian, you know that look, red checked tablecloths and all... So now, the food, the taste, the service...well, we were very pleased with everything! Great dinner, very nice and the taste was very good, and our server was fantastic. It was pretty busy, I think we lucked out without reservations, just before it gets very busy, and it was just the two of us, so it worked out for us. It feels so nice when unexpected choices turn out to be so good. If we are back to Dallas, we would definitely return to Kenny's but next time, we will make sure we reserve ahead, just in case we might not be as lucky.

Just ok

By orchiddoc |

Nothing special. Average Italian restaurant. Service was fine. Caesar salad very mediocre. Pastas were ok.

A little taste of Italy

By TodandTiff |

There were 2 of us. We made a reservation which is recommended because they got busy. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly. We wanted something light so we each had a salad and shared the meatballs and garlic bread from the appetizer menu. The sweet tea was very good. It seemed to be a more matured local hotspot. We will be back.

Average Restaurant

By Grammy105 |

The inside of restaurant is pleasant. The waiter was great and so are the other employees. The food however, was not so good. The chicken parmesan that we had was tough and burnt. Could barely eat it. The sauce was not bad but it was very very salty, as well as not giving much on the meal. I had pasta with oil and garlic and it tasted like pasta with oil only. Very bland. They didn't give you much pasta with the meal either. The bread with oil was good. Not a good place for children to eat.

Great Italian

By Ron E |

This will be a frequent place for us. Good service, food and prices. We love that they let you try two half meals. Choices!

Wonderful surprise

By Joe M |

Very family friendly atmosphere and the staff is pleasant and friendly. I had the gnocchi with asiago and pesto with chicken. It was excellent. The meatball starter is fantastic as well as the calamari. This is a wonderful place. I suggest making a reservation as it is quite the popular place.

Spontaneous Lunch

Driving by and got the urge for Italian food. Homerun with Kenny's Italian Kitchen. I had the special (Pasta Rustica) truly incredible, penna asta, sun dried tomatos, fresh cherry tomatoes, artichoke, spinach, topped with chicken. My parent had traditional Fettuccini Alfredo and Spaghetti with midnight meatballs. All food was delicious and service was attentive as well as timely (thanks Mike!)

Date night

First timers... The atmosphere and energy of the restaurant was over the top. Food was outstanding. The filet was cooked to perfection. Our server was on point and made our evening terrific. The next time, we want to give the pasta a try!.

A great start to a fantastic weekend!

By Wander269769 |

This was the first time for my group of six. Each ordered something different and each was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing! The service was top notch! All in all, our experience was extraordinary. The only thing that topped the dinner was the Oklahoma Sooners beating the longhorns!

Classic Italian food

By deedeev1969 |

We discovered this gem almost 2 years ago when I wanted veal piccata and found this place, only a mile from our apartment. If you've ever been to an authentic Italian restaurant, with the red-checked table cloths, the dim lights, and the inviting aromas wafting from the kitchen, then you will feel right at home at Kenny's. I filled out a customer review card, where I stated that I was disappointed in the amount of pasta received. The manager emailed that evening and asked for our address, then proceeded to send me 4 $15 giftcards to use in the future. How is THAT for customer service? We would've gone back anyways, because the food was phenomenal, but with the giftcards and the promise of more pasta if I simply ask, returning was a foregone conclusion. The fiance loves their Midnight Meatballs, and I love their calamari appetizer. I get the scallopini with veal substituted for the chicken and it's SO good. The portions are big enough for leftovers, which means I get to have yummy goodness twice! And their tiramisu...HUGE portion and so good! Definitely make a reservation, otherwise you'll be waiting for at least 30 minutes.

With family

By Mark L |

Went to restaurant for appetizers and drinks. Bartender Cody was very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. Restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere

Always great food and service.

By Thomas C |

We have been going to Kenny’s for many years since he opened his first restaurant at this location. He now has several other restaurants but this is our favorite. All of his food is delicious from a great burger to a gourmet dinner meal. Always busy so go at off peak times.

Great Food!

By johnrbolster |

Really enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant. The service was great, The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. Our group had the meatballs and prosciutto-wrapped fried mozzarella appetizers. Both were excellent. For entrees we had Baked Ziti, Veal Piccata and Veal Osso Bucco. I had the piccata and tried the other veal dish and both were as good as I have had anywhere. Also enjoyed the fact that the wine list was reasonably priced with less expensive drinkable options. My only criticism would be the atmosphere-It was loud and trying too hard to be Italian with the red plaid tablecloths and family-type pictures covering the walls. Seemed a bit cheesy, but in the end did not take away from great food and great service.

Another good Kenny's

By hookedontrvl |

Kenny's has more than one restaurant in the Dallas area and this one upholds the Kenny's standard for good food. I'm not a huge fan of meatballs, but decided to try the "Midnight Meatballs". I'm glad I did because they were some of the best meatballs I've ever had. They were moist and well seasoned and made for a very filling meal. The service is good and the decor is definitely Italian.

Wonderful food and outstanding service!

By Jai A |

Celebrated my husband's 50th birthday. It was our first time there but we've enjoyed many other Kenny's (burgers, pizza). Enjoyed a wonderfully delicious meal. I had the gnocchi. My husband was able to have ziti and chicken parm combined. We ordered an appetizer first and they brought out a sampler plate as well. It was an overall fantastic dining experience. Definitely recommend Kenny's!!!

A Great Italian "GO TO"

By JSFoodie09 |

A casual atmosphere with top notch Italian food. Amanda was fantastic, very personable with a great personality. We started with the Meatballs, had the Italian sandwich (awesome) and the Chicken Parm. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family. Look forward to our next visit.

Terrific Italian

By Michael H |

Kenny’s has a dark, clubby atmosphere. Service is always perfect. And the food....delicious! Generous portions, we always bring home leftovers.

Amazing Restaurant - Food and Service

By Pat K |

My son lives in Dallas and took us to this amazing restaurant. Next time I visit Dallas this will be my first stop. The food is great, the service is personalized and the atmosphere is charming. I had a 1/2 and 1/2 dish, Veal Marsala and Veal Piccata. We asked for the Vodka Sauce to dip our bread in and it was wonderful.

Average Mass Produced Italian

By Sam L |

While the food here was probably better than Olive Garden, there was nothing special about the flavors, service and ambiance. The service was friendly, but our waiter got things wrong. Cocktails arrived only after prodding, and then one arrived 10 minutes after the other. Waiter also didn't deliver what was promised on the entree--the sauce was supposed to be on the side, but instead it was put all over the entree and then an additional side of sauce was served. The best thing we had was the calamari. Everything else is mass produced, and it tastes that way. They state on the menu that they can prepare most dishes "lite", but when asked, they said they couldn't do anything to make the picatta sauce lite. Dessert was disappointing. This place is more about quantity that quality. I have always liked the original Kenny's on Beltline, but just not too impressed with this attempt at Italian.

Extremely popular, expect a wait, but it is worth it

By jj5863 |

Waited 45 minutes for a table at 6 o’clock on a Thursday. Bar service was subpar because they were so busy, but happy hour prices last until 7. The food was very good, large portions, and table service was fine. The best deal is ordering half and half entrees, so that you can try two dishes at once. All four of us enjoyed the opportunity to taste two+ entrees. No room for dessert… Looking forward to a return visit.

Still undecided

By Charles Z |

Even though you don't need a reservation, the person seating me put my info into the computer like I had one anyway. Time consuming. Took me about a minute to get away from the "wait to be seated booth". I know it's not much time, but should've been only seconds. Waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order. When I got here, the place had only been open 10 minutes, and had only 2 tables in use. By the time I got my order placed, tables were almost full, and other guests that came in after me were already eating. Waiter took my order, then asked about my salad and bread. I saw nothing on the menu about those coming with my meal, so I asked. Those cost extra. The way he asked was like they came with the meal. So, if I hadn't inquired about those, my bill would've been about $7 more than expected. $4.99 was the cheapest salad on the menu. Received my food almost 15 minutes after ordering. Came out fresh and hot. Although the lasagna tasted great, I couldn't eat whole thing. (bottom pasta was so hard, I couldn't even cut it with the butter knife at the table). When I got done with the eatable portion, you could see the bottom was burnt. Not just overdone, but black al around the edges about a quarter inch. This was fine dining, NOT at its finest. I let the wait staff know about pasta, they gave me a $10 dining certificate for next time. And overt charged me for the lasagna from what the menu price was.

Great Italian

By Claire H |

Great with gluten free options. Service is great and Martini Monday is loads of fun. My favorite is gluten free meatballs and Carbonara.

Delightfully good

By MBiblis |

I was in town on business when my client suggested we go to Kenny's Italian Kitchen for dinner. Really? Could I trust the Italian flavors by a guy named Kenny? Okay, so I'm not Italian, and I didn't grow up with an Italian mama cooking my every meal, but I thought my meal at Kenny's Italian Kitchen was wonderful. I had a beautifully prepared veal shank complete with marrow bone, served over risotto. My colleagues had equally delicious 3 cheese tortellini Alfredo, and chicken saltimbocca. Good choices all around. And while the wine list wasn't extensive, it offered very affordable and appropriately paired selections. I'd recommend this place in a heart beat.

Tiramisu A+

By TimmytheCajun |

We were in Dallas for a few days and based on trip adviser reviews, we decided to give Kenny's a try. Food was solid. Not the best Italian I've ever had, but well done, enjoyable and reasonably priced. Most of the entrees were under $20. They will split most of the entrees so you can have half an order of lasagna and half an order of another dish if you like. Both my wife and I did this and we wound up with a lot of food! There are a few options for kids, chicken fingers, spaghetti and meatballs and a third selection I dont recall. The kids really enjoyed their meals. The tiramisu was outstanding! Some of the best I have had.

My least favorite Kenny's

By Towleway |

I wish I could say better things about this place because I love the Kenny's franchise, but this restaurant feels like they gave up on it. I've been there twice now. The service has been average and the food was almost unbearably salty. There is definitely better Italian out there.

Kenny’s Italian Kitchen

By Mlarsen880 |

Great restaurant, the food was wonderful. I really can’t describe how really nice it was to have authentic Italian food. The service was very good, parking was ok. The ravioli was really nicely prepared and delicious. You can’t get any better than this in the DFW metroplex. Highly recommend.

Italian Feast - ask for Key

By Holidaze12 |

Amazing food and service! A Friday night Italian feast. Amazing service by Key - someone else recommended him as a server and he did not disappoint! Excellent menu suggestions. Kenny’s allows you to split order most entrees so I tried gnocchi and eggplant. Amazing. We will be back.

Amazing!!!!

By Kizerkot9 |

What a great experience we had today! Did not expect all this greatness at all!!!! I made reservations just in case only because it's usually a busy area! We were greated and seated right away granted we got there right then they opened for the evening at 4pm! Wonderful waitress Alexis waited on us and she was awsome!!! We started out with drinks, my makers mark old fashion came with small ice and not just one cube of ice but the flavors were great. They brought us wonderful bread and olive oil/balsamic, I just absolutly love it when a resturant has a fresh black pepper grinder on the table! We shared a blue cheese salad that was absolutly amazing! Our wonderful waiter suggested since we couldnt make our minds on what to order, that we can order 2 items and they surve it on one plate!!!! So we order one plate that had the "mushroom ravioli" filled with wonderful mushrooms with truffle white sauce and the "Joey's bolognese" perfectly cooked and seasoned meat sauce and tamato an amazing comfort food. The second plate had the "Gnocchi Asiago" wow it was so fresh, and the "Fattatchi Carbonara"! Oh my God it was amazing this just because my favorite Italian place ever!!! So we said ok let's see the desert, we ordered on Tiramisu and yup it was spot on, mild in sweet, you can taste the coffe and just how they make it in Italy!!! We paired that with a glass of Port and we called it a night! Thank you for an awesome experiance, and you will definatly see me again!

Awesome Italian Restaurant

Fantastic restaurant with terrific service by Caroline! Fantastic Salad Caprese, eggplant with garlic spinach & lasagna. Bread was outstanding!!

Kenny's ROCKS it!!!

By Jon M |

Came here purely out of their Trip Advisor rating - and we LOVED IT. Place was packed on a Thursday night around 6:30 so you know the locals love it too! Waited about thirty minutes for a table but seat at the bar for a couple drinks and talk. Very cozy restaurant - not that big, tables kinda tight. we started with an order of Bruchetta which was a 10! tangy tomatoes, fresh cheese and bread toasted to perfection!! My wife had the raviolis and my daughter the Chicken Parm with Spaghetti. they both loved it! I had (and so did my son) the Lasagna and it was among the best Ive ever had - creamy cheese, meat sauce and just the right flavor. Not huge menu, but from what I could see the choices all looked good and If I lived in Addison, TX Id go there A LOT! Gotta love the drink menu "DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION" wink wink to the Blues Brothers.... This place is worthy of 5 stars - its not super fancy but the food is spot on delicious!!

Italian at its Best!

By avicks1 |

Very delicious meal with great service! I dined with a party of 8 for a last minute reservation. They were very accommodating and the wait was only 40 minutes for Friday night. I ordered the market fish which was delicious and we had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. I enjoyed the simple menu which eluded the restaurant could focus on perfecting their dish options. This place is worth a visit!

Great Place for Italian Food in Addison

By yellowpixels |

Continues to provide a really good Italian meals. The portions are large and easy to split. If you don't split them you will be taking home your next meal. If you are going on a Saturday nite you will be wise to make a reservation on Friday. It is always busy and noisy.

Quantity over Quality

By Connie M |

This is a typical Italian place. Similar to a chain. Huge restaurant, loud. Portions are enormous. In my opinion the food was not seasoned enough. Nothing on the menu was creative. I must say the Tres Leches cake was very good.

Not as good as it was

By Kathy W |

I come here for the lemon drop martinis! They are the best I’ve ever had. Vodka is super cold!!!! Also love the salad. Be sure to request the house croutons. Fabulous meatballs. I can only eat one. This place is always busy and you must have reservations.

Update: Still that good

By cooper12 |

Had another great meal here. Wait staff address you by name from your reservation. Nice touch. They actual make a good drink from a small bar here. But it’s the food. I love coming to this place. I have yet to try anything that disappoints. Enjoy.

Fun concept. Retro decor and friendly family service accenting a very tasty, traditional, affordable Italian menu.

By Inspire793857 |

Lovely one of a kind dining on the over-baked Dallas restaurant roster. Retro decor and friendly family service accenting a very tasty, traditional, affordable Italian menu.

Excellent for food allergies!!!!

By Tawny H |

My husband and teenage daughter were traveling into Dallas from Colorado for a soccer tournament and I was researching food options and came across Kenny’s. My daughter has several allergies (Gluten/Dairy/Soy/Shellfish), so as you can imagine, eating, while traveling, can be quite difficult for her/us. I emailed Elizabeth Mardeda, Managing Partner, at Kenny’s, to find out if there was anything on their menu that may accommodate her restrictions. Not only was Liz willing to go above and beyond to accommodate our families needs, but she was also so sweet! Kenny’s was willing to make a special batch of Gluten Free meatballs, create a salad specifically to her liking, and Liz even went to the local grocery store to purchase the special Gluten/dairy/soy free Ranch dressing my daughter loves to have with her Salads!! She said she “loves seeing great Mom's going above and beyond for their children!” Liz, you can’t imagine what this meant for our family. The burden and anxiety of food allergies, especially while traveling out of state, can make any trip stressful. However, because of you, not only did my daughter have an AMAZING meal (she said it was the BEST, EVER!!), but you made our trip to Dallas an unforgettable one!! Thank you!

Awesome!

By gogigi2014 |

We really love this restaurant! The food is always amazing, and the service is the best. The shrimp scampi is one of our favorites, but all of the food is excellent. Kennys really made my husband’s Father’s Day special!! You will not be disappointed.

Best Bruchetta anywhere anytime

By braderika |

My husband and I had lunch on Valentine’s Day at Kenny’s and had the best Italian meal this side of Bologna, Italy. The bruchetta was grilled with plump and well seasoned cherry tomatoes, making the start to our day a real treat. My nocchi and chicken, in a specially ordered red sauce, was tender with a bit of a spicy ‘kick’. The eggplant parmigian my husband ordered far surpassed many served elsewhere. This is a very special restaurant where you can actually change ingredients to your liking, and it is done with the biggest smile.

Just as delicious as the Woodfire Grill!

By FloridaGirl2003 |

So last night we went to Kenny’s Woodfire Grill and it was SO good that when our server suggested the Italian sister restaurant we said Absolutely! I had the Linguini and Clams. Fabulous! I can’t believe both restaurants are so fantastic. Kenny you are the bomb diggity!!! And p.s. Our servers both nights, Mike at the Woodfire Grill and Jay at the Italian Restaurant were top notch! They were excellent!!

Kenny Does It Again!

Kenny's Italian Kitchen is a wonderful place to visit. The shrimp I ordered was very good, it was a nice large portion. A Thanks to the staff, they were very kind.

Fantastic birthday dinner!

By Tom V |

We had a group of 8 celebrating 2 birthdays.....mine and my partner's. Delicious food, great atmosphere, excellent service from Bekah ( love how she changed out our martinis into colder glasses half way through drinking them). The lasagna and chicken Scallopini were exceptionally good! I have never had a bad meal in any of Kenny's different restaurants!

Unique Italian Food

By Rick J |

Celebrated my adult son’s birthday there as a family and the food was great. The calamari was tasty and the lasagna has a very unique and flavorful taste to it. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful.

Has the feel of an authentic Italian restaurant, and the food is good.

By kvasir |

Busy congenial atmosphere, with lots of happy regular patrons. Service is swift and friendly, and food is fresh, attractively presented, and in generous portions. . . can make sense to split a pasta between two. Good selection of entry level and finer quality wines.

Good all around

By B Wood |

I was so happy to find Kenny's. The place was busy on a week night and I waited for a bar seat. Serve was very good. I went with the basics, Spaghetti and meatballs. and did not disappoint. It tasted great. The starter salad was so fresh, the flavors popped. I was one happy guy after this meal. The chianti was solid too. It's hard to find a great Italian place, but this is the real deal. I highly recommend.

Terrible lack of attention

By Pat T |

Specially drove 18 miles out of our way to eat here because of the rating. So disappointing. The food was bland . Requested lots of veggies and our pasta got 3 broccolini pieces and one mushroom cut in two and lots of tomatoes as our veggies. I had a to go order and when we got back we found that a lot of liquid leaked out of the box. Also no napkins or forks were provided. I guess we could eat with our hands. Would not recommend this place

Great food and service

By pennyb253 |

For Italian, the food was excellent! We will definitely go back! The service was quick and the food delish. It was some of the best alfredo i've ever had! The salad was fresh and the bread with oil and vinegar was wonderful!!!

Not the best experience

By Melinda |

I was there with a few friends. I don’t know why they seat a 5 top of people in the back room near a party of 25 people. That party was so loud I could not hear my friend who was sitting right next to me! And I waited for almost an hour to get my glass of wine. I enjoy the food, but it is discouraging to make reservations and then get such a bad experience.

A First Visit, Enjoyed

By Destination816412 |

This was our first visit: me, my spouse and my adult brother. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, our drinks came quickly and the food was fine. We’ll go again. I did think the menu was rather limited, but the three different dishes ordered by us were all enjoyed.

Excellent food trumps confused service

By Ghost |

Excellent--the food, which the best Italian cuisine that I have had in a long time. Could have been better--the service. When the entrees were the served, they were given to the wrong diners, so that we had to straighten them out ourselves. Also, we were asked 3 times if we wanted Parmesan cheese on our entrees, and although we said "yes" thrice, nothing materialized on the first 2 go-rounds.

Neighborhood-like Italian restaurant

Great tasting food. Although busy and noisy during lunch hour, service was great at bar. Accommodating staff split a salad for us.

Fantastic Italian food

By larryecollins |

We had not been here in awhile and it’s as great as every. The service was friendly and good. Matt knew the menu well and made good suggestions. The food was impeccable. I would come for the bruschetta alone! The Osso Bucco was tender and the mushroom sauce was thick and delicious. The Parmesan risotto was perfection. My wife had the Shrimp Fettucini Alfredo and we were surprised at the amount of shrimp. It was a terrific meal and we had a wonderful time. We won’t wait so long to go again.

Excellent Service + Food

Very kind and thoughtful staff helped make our dinner after getting engaged feel special. The food was excellent as well! We had the ziti and chicken scallopini!

The absolute best!

By Julie F |

I have eaten in Italian restaurants all over the world, including in Italy, and this is on the top of the charts. The food, the service and the staff were all friendly and attentive. We came on a Monday night not aware of Martini Monday, and the place was packed. We were told there was an hour wait time and turned to leave because I had recently had back surgery and couldn’t stand that long. The incredible manager, Liz, said “hold on, we just had a table open on the enclosed patio, an she took us right in. This was some of the best Italian food we’ve had in many years!

Lunch Time Authentic Italian

By pmathew2016 |

Enjoyed an authentic Italian lunch last week. Staff was courteous and available. Definitely get the meatball appetizer dish, had the chicken parm for entree- wish I had room for dessert. Ambience is classic Italian as well. Will bring larger group next visit.

Consistently GREAT

By glenagrit |

Have been going here for years, since they opened actually, and every time it is consistently excellent. Family style southern Italian cooking. Portions are large and waitstaff is always welcoming and friendly. GM, Liz, is doing a great job and everyone on staff has a great attitude. Food is delicious. We go at least once every couple of weeks. Our go to southern Italian place!!

Olive gardens brother

Service was great Very dark ambiance Food was very Olive Garden style Not authentic Italian Chicken was chewy sauce super thick almost over cooked

Great Food

By T W |

We had the Shrimp Scampi, and Italian salad and proscuitto-wrapped, fried mozzarella. Everything was very good. The marsala sauce was an extra dip provided for the cheese sticks. It was a little too rich for my liking, but that's just a personal "take." Will definitely go again.

Wonderful service, great food, cozy atmosphere

My family and I had an excellent meal at Kenny's Italian! Our server was so nice, and had great recommendations. I ordered a delicious side Caesar Salad with a grilled salmon on top. It was perfect! The salmon was divine and moist. The Caesar was so good, that it had me wishing I had ordered a full-size. My husband was thrilled with his selection of Trout Picata, and will definitely order that again. My daughter enjoyed her chicken parmesan for 2 days! She ordered the half portion, and still had enough for a lunch the next day! All in all, Kenny's was the BEST choice, and we will be back (when we are in Dallas next).

Delicious

Had a reservation but still had to wait awhile but Monday night martini specials made up for it. Food was delicious from bruschetta to pasta to shrimp to tiramisu. Really good Italian food. A little pricey and waitress could have been friendlier but food made up for it.

Very good comforting North End Boston Italian

We have been here several times and it is consistently good and flavorful. My husband and I are both from the Northeast and this is truly authentic New England Italian cooking. Portions are generous and the staff is always welcoming and attentive.

Excellent Food - Okay Atmosphere

By CraftBeers |

This is my third visit to Kenny's: One lunch and two dinners. My experiences have been consistent. The food is wonderful. The free bread is fresh with a soft middle and light crunch on the outside. The Gnocchi Asiago is divine. The pesto and cream mix is heaven on the tongue. The smoked bacon in the fettuccini carbonara is a beautiful balance. The smoked Gouda cream on the mushroom ravioli is so good. I've never had a bad dish at Kenny's. What I don't like about Kenny's is the atmosphere. At night, it's really dark. The red and white checked table clothes and kids pictures on the wall eating spaghetti are fun and uplifting, but the dark heavy lighting clash with it. The bar and seating are cramped, and every square inch of wall space is covered with pictures. The overall effect is cramped, dark and not enjoyable. Lunch is a better time to visit. The natural lighting helps a bit. The covered patio is nicer than the interior seating. It has a bit of ambiance that makes it feel casual and inviting.

Great food, great service, over the top

The food was great. The service was wonderful. They were so accommodating with our gluten free needs. And love that you can have half of 2 different dishes if you want to! Who does that? I would highly recommend them

Mouth watering

Have been looking for real itslian food for years. As soon as I was hand of the bread I knew I had found it. Everything I tried here was absolutely delicious. The pasta was amazing and I love the fact that I had leftovers. The staff is super helpful, incredibly fun and if you see something on the menu, do not be scared to ask if you can change something. They will let you know. Actually, even if you don’t know they will tell you. That’s how I tried more than one dish. So... fresh ingredients, they definitely take pride in the dishes they make and I don’t think you can go wrong with anything . I saw dishes fly by me I wish I had time (and space) to try. If you sit at the bar, like I did, it’s like walking into Cheers 😁. I absolutely loved it ! Go, chill, enjoy!!

Always GREAT

Have been going to Kenny's since it has opened several years ago. Consistently great food and Joey does a great job with the staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Nice when you are called by name and they remember what you drink. Specials are always great and there is always something new to try. Never tire of this great place.

One of the Best Italian Restaurants in the Metroplex

By GioMio |

When you find a place that offers excellent food (the three of us had and highly recommend the Gnocchi, Fettuccine Carbonara and the Lasagna although we're pretty sure everything else on the menu is just as good) along with attentive but unobtrusive service and reasonable prices you just have to go back again and again. We certainly will! Oh, and leave some room to try the Tiramisu and Cannoli. You'll be glad you did!

A Great Italian Restaurant

By hlevineocd |

I wanted veal parm. Kenny's was rated #1 in DFW. When my entree came to the table, I was stunned. Not the medallions I have been eating all my life. This was a huge bone-in chop which must have required a crane to lift it on the plate. I ordered a Gorgonzola salad and a side of angel-hair - alio/oglio. All were delicious. For dessert, the connoli was fresh and good. The room is small and quite nice. We arrived at 6:00 and it was quiet. By the time we left, volume was at NY levels. This was a great stop.

Very good Italian food, excellent service

By Mark S |

Stopped in here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how good the service was and how nice the food was. I ordered the bone in Veal Parmagiana, it was fork tender, the sauce was very nice, homemade and plenty of seasonings. A little on the sweeter side, but that is just a matter of preference. Lively bar scene, a bit crowded but it's a popular restaurant.

Can’t wait to go again

By Tlrcia |

My husband took me to Kenny’s for my birthday tonight. He actually had to make reservations on a Tuesday night! Well worth the drive from Keller. Service was great and food was phenomenal! Our server suggested that we try 2 half plates. Between the five of us, we tried ziti, gnocchi, scallopini, chicken parm and carbonara. Not much talking at the table as we were too busy savoring every bite. The bread was the best we’ve had in a long time. My favorite was the scallopini tonight but the meatballs in the ziti were yummy too. My husband is a great cook but even he was impressed by Kenny’s.

Limited Vegetarian Items

By yellowpixels |

The menu is meat centric but they will eliminate the meat from items when possible. They do have a couple of fish items and fettuccini, salads ( of course).... Service continues to be very good as is the food. It's always busy so make a reservation.

Great place for Italian

By Kiran V |

Typical Italian ambiance, nice staff. Wonderful food. The tomato basil soup was excellent. Mushroom ravioli was perfectly prepared with cream sauce. And the off course the teramouse was delicious. Worth visiting when you're in Addison. TX

Do yourself a favor, run don't walk to Kenny's

By Funt1mes |

I went with a small group of friends. We had the gnocchi asiago, fettuccine carbonara, stuffed ravioli, and spaghetti with meatballs. The food was awesome. The appetizers (capers salad and cheesy garlic bread) were great starters. The wine selection was quite nice also. The waiter was super friendly, and the place had great ambience. You'll never want to go back to Olive Garden again.

Dinner-Cary out

By Mark L |

Ordered Joey’s Bolognese for my wife, and I ordered Baked Ziti. When I came home, my wife’s dinner was greasy. And she could not eat it. My baked Ziti the sausage was cooked, the cheese was so so, and was greasy. We have eaten at the restaurant previously and was good. very disappointed

Good spaghetti and meatballs

By 3boysmom60 |

We stumbled onto this restaurant on a Sunday night. We were able to get a table but they were very busy. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs and the Italian chopped salad. They serve you warm bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We had a glass of chainti which was good for their house wine. The portions are very generous and we left the restaurant very full. We will go back again when staying in Addison. They take reservations which they recommend.

Top Italian eatery

By Robert R |

Promptly seated on a busy evening and the waitperson was there in moments calling me by name and welcoming us to the restaurant. Sara provided excellent suggestions throughout. She is passionate. Ask for her table! Meatballs were incredible. Very light and the sauce was outstanding. Kenny's lets you split entrees. What a deal. Servings are more than generous. We had chicken parm, eggplant parm and gnocchi asiago. All were delicious. Huge piece of tiramisu for dessert. It was excellent. The prices are better than any chain place and the food is light years better. If you like Italian, this will be your new go to place.

This is a fantastic restaurant. I visit it "EVERY" time I travel to Dallas. They welcome you by name at the reception desk if you have filed your email with them. The eggplant dish is an absolute wonder. I order it almost every time I go. Great friendly service, excellent food, busy atmosphere during lunch. Lively bar before dinner.
