The place to go for delicious Korean food! The staff is friendly. The food is wonderful and doesn't break the bank.

Wonderful!

Wow! I have been searching for a great Kimchi Pancake and it was outstanding at the Kimchi Bistro! The kimchi for the table and my husband’s Kimchi Jji Gae were wonderful. Full, rich flavors, excellent spiciness, and cooked perfectly. The customer service was outstanding as well. We will return and refer friends to this gem.

Quick friendly service and delicious bibimbap

This is a neighborhood favorite for my family. We love the vegetarian bibimbap, the veggie pot stickers, and the free tea. The folks who work here are always super friendly and the food is delicious. Both the hot and cold versions are big winners for adults and kids alike.

Best Korean food in Seattle!

If you are crazing Korean food, this is your place. Went for a girlfriends bday and our Korean American friend recommended it. We had the beef bulgogi, bibimbap, pork tofu soup and the glassy noodles and beef! Delicious! They also free hot tea. You ca. Enjoy beer and wine there as well.

The best!

Great Korean food for such a small quaint place! Had a party of six and they understood not a lot of room on he table so they made all of our food family style which is great customer service without having to ask. You have to get your own drinks and clear off your table which is kind of strange but whatever to help them out. A constant line out the door of people coming by and getting food! Located on the nice town of Ballard! All very fresh and tasty!

Always trying something new on the menu and always satisfied

I am proud to declare myself a regular at the Kimchi House and visit once a week with my wife always receiving the same great service and food. Besides having a cold beer with my meal I like to have tea and enjoy their selection and it's free! This week I am going to order the hot pot bi bim bop with spicy pork! Yes, they will allow substitutions. I truly love this place and the staff do a hell of a job to be so consistent while always being so friendly. I feel like family here.

Good, basic Korean

We did takeout and having lived in Seoul, Korea, were very pleased with the authenticity of the food. Fast service, too. Highly recommended.

Pleasantly surprised

I was hesitant to eat here, because I thought all Korean food was too spicy. But I ordered the Bi Bim Bap bowl, and it was excellent. Note: the food wasn't spicy, but the bowl was sizzling hot!

Great little neighborhood restaurant

I am not an adventurous eater...it took my wife awhile to convince me to try Korean food...so when I finally took the plunge, it was at Kimchi House. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and we now go back often. My absolute favorite is the hot pot bi bim bap with beef. It's so good that I have never ordered anything else. Great portions, consistently prepared and good for both warm or cold days. The way the rice gets crispy on the bottom is the best part! It's a small space; maybe 8 tables but the wait isn't long. I also appreciate the complimentary tea. Great little local restaurant.

Pretty good Korean food.

This was my first time here. Family members brought me. The place is really small. We had to wait quite awhile for a table to open up. You order and pay at the counter, then they bring the food to you. The Bibimbap was good, although it didn't blow me away. (I had better in Korea.). Portion sizes are large. The others in our group liked their meals. Prices were reasonable. Overall, it was a pretty good dinner.

Great Korean food in Ballard

After two visits I can say this is the best Korean lunch spot/to go place I have found inside the Seattle city limits. It's worth the drive and the hassle of finding parking in 21st century Ballard. The Kalbi and bi bim bap both had a great balance of flavors.

The kimchi is worth waiting --it will transport you to Korea

This little place with about 5-6 tables on the side is a gem. The wait can be long as it is so small, but you can just take it out. They have napa cabbage homemade kimchi that is really fresh and authentic. Other take out containers also excellent -- among the best seaweed also. The pancakes divine --try the pork or the seafood. The bim bam bop excellent. The tofu in the seafood soup was just heavenly. The restroom was clean and accessible. I would go at 5 pm if you can or on the early side. NOT OPEN FOR LUNCH --tis a pity.

Highly recommend

Saw that this place had really good ratings and it was less than a 10 minute drive from where we were staying. Didn't know what to expect but the quality of food is really good. We ordered japchae, whole mackerel, and kimchi + pork pancake. Everything was really good and we still packed up enough for another meal. You get your own water, tea, and utensils and you put your clear your table afterwards as well. Great value. Will be back again.
