Give it a go if I’m the area

By Chris H |

Can get busy during high times. Good food. Service is a bit slow. Overall, great place to grab a bit to eat. Lots of option for flavorful, colorful, or healthy food. Tasty home made chips and salsa.

Great food, great prices

We had never heard of Korean-Mexican fusion food. We love both cuisines separately so we jumped at the chance to try them melded together at this little hole-in-the-wall place. The quick summary? YUM--you must try it! We ordered regular dumplings and some wonton soup to start and those were excellent. We all shared several dishes for dinner including the bugolgi (pork) burrito, bugolgi (beef) nachos, and a couple bugolgi (chicken) tacos. The portions are huge and the ingredients are all so fresh and tasty. The Korean and Mexican ingredients/seasonings really compliment each other. This place takes a car to get to, but it is well worth the drive. It is not large so I imagine there are times when you'd have to wait for a table or order some carryout. We spent a fraction of what we had spent the night before on dinner on the Strip and it was SO much better. We wished we'd tried it out earlier on our trip so we could have gone back more than once. Can someone open a Korean Mexican fusion restaurant in my neighborhood please?

KoMex...the name said it.

By Mey S |

Exactly what you get. Korean and Mexican. So if you're like me and love those 2 this is the best combination place to be. Dining for 2: 1. We ordered half fusion fries...omg deliciousness. The perfect balance of fries, bulgogi, salsa, jalapeño and cheese and I'm sure a special sauce. 2. Half order of combination fettuccine. This one is just alright for me. Had to put lots of "KoMex sauce" to get to the taste I'm after. 3. Fusion slider with fries...yummy. The right amount of bulgogi on a perfect size roll. The fries was just an extra. 4. Pork belly taco. Oh my.

Great food at very reasonable prices.

By poorsk8Mom |

The Korean Mexican fusion works really well together. Better than expected. Totally worth the wait. Go during odd hours as they get really busy during peak lunch and dinner hours. They give free bottled water for eat in customers. No other restaurant does that!!!

Good food

By joe m |

Went here for the first time and definitely will be returning awesome food and service. The place is small but the food definitely makes up for it.

Off the Hook Good

By Ben S |

Tried the Bulgogi sliders they were to die for!!! Add some kimchi to them for extra punch. Pork belly taco was very good. Will definitely return.

If you do not try the fusion tacos I feel sorry for you

By MicInLasVegas |

I was excited to try Komex. Family suggested it and OMG were they rights. You absolutely must try the fusion tacos. Do beef. Yummy Yummy Yummy. There are other things on the menu but I am blinded by my love of the tacos. Went back a second time and went straight for the tacos. It is a small hole in the wall place. the service is great. Did I mention the tacos?

Crazy AND Good!

By bez71 |

You'd never think of Korean and Mexican fusion but they sure pull it off. The flautas were good but strange with cheese inside, would have preferred them w/o cheese, but the guac with Korean hot sauce was a really nice combination. The Bulgogi beef fusion tacos were the best, should have gotten more of them. The location is nothing to cheer about and the addition of Chinese calendar placemats and fortune cookies afterward were more of the crazy fusion. Stunningly delicious, quick service, a must not miss when in Vegas!

Unreal Food.. Going back ASAP!

Korean Food... YES! Mexican Food? YES!! Put them together? YES YES YES YES YES YES YES! Had a blast filming there and going back in a couple weeks for gluttonous purposes without cameras in hand... Awesome joint and killer food!

Korean and Mexican food together!

By familytrip36 |

Calamari, bulgogi tacos? Bulgogi nachos....what is going on? Fusion deliciousness is on the menu. It was very tasty and cheap!!!!! It is a sit down restaurant and the owners seem very attentive. We really enjoyed the food and its casual atmosphere. It was crowded so I know the food was going to be good which it was.

Don’t be Afraid to try new things

By John D |

I wasn’t sure what to expect with Korean food but I took a leap of faith and loved every bite. I tried the bulging I need cheese steak the first day and returned the next day for a fusion burrito. Great food and staff Loved the red sweet/hot sauce

great food

By onetravelersthoughts |

a great little place. The food was very good and it was busy....a good sign. I think it had more locals. friend recommended and it was worth it. Prices were good too. Portions were big so some people shared. I thought it was a unique blend of food that tasted great!!!

Wasn't sure, but now I'm sure

By MLMSDPB |

This was my second visit to Komex. In all fairness the service was good and the food was hot, but I just don't get it. Not my thing. I ordered the shrimp tacos, fish tacos and kimchi fried rice with spicy pork. I liked the shrimp tacos. The place is worth trying but just not for me.

Delicious bulgogi!

By Icrv90 |

I ordered for the first the fusion tacos and tostada and I was no disappointed! The Mexican salsa were fresh and spicy just like I like them. I loved the attention and service even tho the restaurant was almost full and they were receiving calls left and right. They seem hard working and they try hard to please the customer. I would come back in a heart beat.

A great twist on two cultures.

By 599RobertB |

First, don't go there for the atmosphere. It is the food that is the best reason. You may think of driving by when you see the small store front in an older strip center. BUT this is a must place to try. There about 40 chairs and at 7:30 we had to wait a few moments to be seated. Wow, great tacos, fried rice and chimichangas. You have not had anything like it. This place is a secret for the locals. We were the only one there for the first time.

Great food concept

By dennislh1105 |

The Korean/Mexican fusion works great. Their sauces are very good and compliment the food very nicely. The chicken wings are spicy without the nasty Tobasco bite of buffalo wings. The vegetables are fresh and cooked to order. No teasy to find but worth it.

Fusion at it's best

By kitt792018 |

Great Mexican-Korean fusion. The Bulgogi Nachos and Bulgogi Burritos are delicious. Always a great meal when I come here.

Clean with Big portions

I just had the cheese steak sandwich and Fusion burrito. WOW enough for 3 people. And all are happy. The store si clean and the staff are nice. I also like that it is only blocks form my house. I should have gone sooner. I will be back.

best food on our trip!! the bulgogi burrito and enchiladas with their special hot sauce was outstanding!!!!

I take all my visitors here.

You gotta try the Bulgogi stree tacos. I really like how they have a decaf ice tea and raw sugar available. You can easily fill up for $6-10. I take all my visitors here. Note: they are closed on Sundays.

How Did Guy Fieri Miss This Place??!!

By Papa_Lou1 |

Writing a review for Komex Express is unlike most any review I’ve ever written. Generally I will post my critique of an establishment on Yelp after only one or two visits, but Komex is a different kind of place that deserved a different approach. Komex was opened for quite a while before I ventured in for the first time. The location that Komex occupies is where one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, El Burrito Café, once stood. This spot is only a few hundred yards from my house so the Komex signs were merely reminders of a food spot that I had literally grown up with here in Vegas. Could this “fusion” restaurant compare to the family run Mexican joint I had been so fond of? No way!! Well, maybe I was wrong this time. Komex is beyond incredible!! After stumbling across a bunch of positive reviews on Yelp I decided to go check this place out and there has been no turning back!! If you haven’t tried Korean/ Mexican fusion you don’t know what you’re missing. The melding of spices and peppers that are used in each type of food has been mastered by the Yi family. Most items on the menu at Komex (tacos, burritos, etc.) are available with carne, pollo and carnitas and each is equally delicious. The tacos and burritos are all insanely delicious, but the tortas are by far my favorite. They are made with an ample amount of meat (I prefer the carne on these), lettuce, tomato, avocado and jalapeno on a fresh, soft roll. The bulgogi is also a can’t miss option if you want to delve further into the Korea side of the menu. I’ve had the bulgogi as both a burrito (try it with a little Kimchi) and on its own. Both were awesome! Yesterday I decided to try to fusion cheese enchiladas which I was sure would be at least a slight step down from the other fare at Komex, but guess what; DELICIOUS!! BTW, did I mention the prices??!! The food at Komex would be a bargain at twice the price in my eyes. Taste and quality vs. cost puts Komex at the top of any list of restaurants in Vegas for sure. Be sure to try the unsweetened jasmine tea to. I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention how great the service is. The staff is always very friendly and the service is prompt. Linda is the smiling face that greets every customer that walks in and she sees to it that each patron is well taken care of. I continually tell all my friends that if you aren’t making the short trip to Komex, you’re missing out on a real treat. Komex definitely on my short list of regular stops for great food!!

Nice Change

By TibetVisitor |

Been to this restaurant 4 times. Great food and service. Really enjoyed the owner's creative "fusion" dishes. As mentioned by many other reviewers, everything is priced very reasonable and servings are huge.

Something different!

By tconk40554 |

My brother finally dragged me to this place after months of protest. Korean/Mexican just sounded strange to me. But I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good. It's hard to find something truly different but still delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I had the Fusion chimichanga but all of the dishes looked good.

Worth the five mile walk? You bet :>}

By LLoper |

My wife and I wanted some exercise so we planned to walk from the Strip to a well reviewed casual restaurant. KoMex and BabyStacks are in the same mall so -- after checking to make sure the neighborhoods were safe -- we headed out. Two hours later, picked KoMex, which was nearly empty (not everyone relishes kimchi at 11 am...) Food was fantastic though and service flawless. Recommend the boolgogi bowl with fried egg on top or the tacos, excellent. $20 plus tip out the door including a beer. As noted by others, good complimentary chips/salsa/guac

Amazing Fusion Between Mexican and Korean Food

By ariev |

We came for lunch while staying in Vegas. Had to wait for a few minutes as it was really busy, but it was worth it! Food was really good and the service was amazing even though the resturant was really busy. Well done!

Different

By Ken M |

I ate here with my family and I really enjoyed the food, especially the pork...yum! The wife and kids on the other had were not as impressed. I think they were expecting regular beef and pork in their tacos.

Nice change from the Strip, Great food, Great price

By navydavey |

Based on the reviews and love of Korean food, we ventured away from the Strip to have a casual dinner at KoMex. We were not disappointed. The food was great, with large portions, delivered fresh from the kitchen. We arrived at 7pm and were pleasantly surprised to not have to wait for a table. Service was excellent - provided by one very busy, fast moving and attentive server, who appeared to be the owner. The Fusion Chimichanga with Kimchi was huge - really almost enough for 2 to share for dinner. We will definitely return on our next visit to Vegas.

Foodie Adventure Success!

By Robin T |

My husband and I are “foodies” and when we’re on vacation we have to try restaurants that we’ve seen on the Food Network. For years we had been wanting to try Komex Fusion and boy it didn’t disappoint! The Bulgogi was so good! I had it on the nachos, a must have, and my husband had it in the fried rice. The wings were good but not on the same level as the dishes with the Bulgogi. The service was great too, really friendly service. I would definitely recommend it!

Great food Great price!

By kevin l |

My friend introduced me to this place and wow it was the best place I have ever been to. The food is reasonably price and the food is very fresh. I gave it 4 stars because it does take a while for the food to come out. The reasoning behind this is because everything is made fresh to order so nothing is prepared on the fly. That is what makes this place great but also it is VERY busy place. I ordered all of the tacos which was great and also the fried rice and wings. They are all great options. You can only eat so much from one visit. I would definitely go here again the wait is worth it! This is definitely not a place you would know unless you know locals. I would just drive by it without knowing.

True love

By Mark M |

Little else can be said about KoMex other than get here as soon as you can. The flavors and the textures are a party in your mouth. Come really hungry because you're going to want to "overdo it" and order way more than is reasonable for a party of your size. You'd be wise to only look at the "Fusion Specialties" section of the menu. Our bellies were so happy: - Bulgogi nachos - hot damn! These might be my 'last meal' - The four hot sauces available on the table: unique, not too spicy, flavor packed (you're going to want to put them in your bag/purse) - Fusion wings - extra crispy, only slightly spicy and slightly sweet - perfect to share - Fusion flautas - YUM, everyone seemed to be ordering these, so we did too - Fusion enchiladas - also yum, although we couldn't tell which enchilada was which meat (we ordered the combo) If you're visiting Vegas and have a rental car, this place is 120% worth a visit. I'd dish out five Yelp Stars if it weren't for the woman who was our waitress - who aslo seemed to be the manager. She had a bit of an attitude that put us off and also constantly yelled at the other staff (in front of customers).

Delicious

By Rodney |

Simply the best cheesesteak i have ever had in my life. Bulgoji beef, cheese, peppers, onions. It was so juicy so tender, the veggies were cooked perfectly and the bread didnt get soggy. Fyi: Add the kimchi! You won't be disappointed

Go before it gets spoiled by the raving reviews

By Consolatio |

This restaurant is a true hidden gem. It takes a certain effort to get there, and there is nothing else in the area to attract a tourist, but the idea of Mexican and Korean fusion, and the amazing reviews, was enough for me. It is a very simple place, with a warm family feel to it. The evening I was there, the place had mostly regulars, but I was made most welcome, and the waitress explained the menus and made suggestions. The food was lovely, and excellent value. This is the type of place that makes you think twice before reviewing: You want to share, but you are also afraid that it will get spoiled.

Interesting food

By Victoria R |

Service was friendly and the food came out quickly and hot. The menu is interesting and the food decent. The nachos were pretty good. Based on other reviews, I ordered a full order and told them to put it on half the amount of chips. Came out to be a good ratio. Full container of chips and toppings covered the entire surface. The kim chi fried rice was okay, not great. Not enough kim chi flavor in the rice. Hubby went with the regular Mexican plate and just thought the food was average. I think the fusion dishes are their forte.

Amazing! If you love asian flavors and tacos, this fusion will satisfy your taste buds!

By Kelli H |

This place is amazing! We traveled to Vegas, having already read the reviews, and knew this was a place we wanted to eat at. We are absolutely thrilled with our choice and sad as hell that there is not one where we live. Everyone in our party (2 adults and 2 kids) enjoyed their meals (tacos, quesadilla, chimichanga, meat combo, fusion fries). Inside is a sign that reads - "KoMex is NOT fast food. Every order is made when you order to maintain the quality and freshness. ... (Quality + Freshness = KoMex GOODNESS)"... They live up to their standards. It was definitely KoMex GOODNESS!

If you are craving Korean and Mexican, well of course!

By Supastudio |

One of my rules when one vacation: local and non chain restaurants only. Found this place while searching for noodles places actually, but the Mexican/ Korean part caught my eye of course. We had the Bulgogi fries: The bulgogi and the toppings make this dish. The fries could have been from the local high school's concession stand. Just average, but the bulgogi is what sets it apart, obviously. The fusion tacos: calamari, pork belly, chicken bulgogi, pork bulgogi: The calamari and pork belly was the stand out best. Definitely should have ordered more of those! The pork bulgogi was good. The chicken bulgogi was on the dry side. My friend had the chicken bulgogi plate and he said some of the pieces were dry, but the juicy pieces were decent. The masubi was bigger than I expected, which was good. The rice portion was on the heavy side, but still good nevertheless. Pleasantly surprised by how large the portion sizes were. Our waitress was being a little conservative on her estimate on their portions sizes. The price per dish was very good. Nothing screamed too expensive.

Unique find

By MCADAMA |

My nephew and his wife took me here. Great little hole in the wall with good food and very cheap prices.

Best cheap eat for quality

By mkubo |

It is such a tiny restaurant on Decature and Washington. Yelp reviews help us trying the Korean fusion Mexican food. 2 adults and 1 kid with happy full belly usually pay $20. Korean style salsa is the best. Kim Chee is available per request, and it is higher recommend it with thier tacos. They told us they would open another location 215 and Raibow.

Fusion done well

By Andrew A |

Absolutely worth the extra effort to find this place. Food and prices are great. Had the beef bulgogi fried rice and could have had three more servings it was so good. Place is small and if you time it wrong you'll have to wait. It's worth the wait though.

The "tostada" plate is a bargain at $5

By simiseeu |

I had to put that word in quotes because the creative mind(s) at Komex chose to not use the standard tortilla shell to house the goodies. Instead they crisp up some sticky rice to serve as the base, and it works. It's a heaping helping of tasty food for $5 to boot. You have a choice of beef, chicken or spicy pork. They mix in their KoMex slaw (vinegar as opposed to mayo-based) plus pico de gallo, then drizzled with Korean hot sauce - not too spicy, just right! I removed a star tho for two reasons. One, I also had their fish taco, but wrapped in lettuce leaves instead of the usual tortilla. It was good, no doubt, but it cost $3.95. For just a little over a buck more, the tostada is more filling than 3 of those tacos combined. So I would not label this a bargain. The other minor gripe is their ice tea. It's supposed to be mango/passion fruit flavored. Not sure what flavor it really was, but it certainly wasn't that. If you want a really enjoyable mango/passion fruit ice tea, you cannot do better than - believe it or not - El Pollo Loco. I'm serious, it's outstanding there. Anyway, I still give Komex a hearty 4 stars because it is an interesting concept and for the most part, the food is a winner. I'll definitely be returning.

Local and amazing!

By eapike |

My husband and I love to hit up the local eats while traveling. This was a must for him! I wasnt sure what to order. The owner was actually our waiter. I told him to pick for me. I was not disappointed! I cant remember the name, but I ate for $5 in Vegas! It was delicious and I was full! We will definitely be back on our next visit to Vegas!

Great fusion food at a great price.

By alan s |

This is a neighborhood place with a great fusion menu. We always get some fusion tacos, with whatever else we order. The prices are right and the service is friendly. It does take a little while to get your order because everything is made to order.

Outstanding!! Great Place off of strip

By Carolyn W |

Excellent, Fusion Taco (Lettuce wrap), Fusion Fries where awesome! Spicy Pork Tostada was mouth watering. Friendly staff, inexpensive excellent food!! When we come back to Las Vegas, it is a definite stop!

Tries something new

By mr_vodka |

Food was great and the portions huge. I could it finish my food and basically could have skipped the appetizer because we had so much food leftover. That being said the appetizer was awesome. We had the bulgogi tater tots. For our meals we had the kimchi fried rice and burrito. Both awesome.

unique and delicious combonation

By IRENE S |

Their bulgogi is my absolute favorite! really great fusion. Customer service is always good, the owner is friendly and quick with orders. They do close a little early, I think this location is at 8pm, so its not a late night stop, but it has a nice small mom and pop feel to it.

A must try!

By Emily P |

So delicious! The flavors are divine and I bought the sweet sauce. The pork belly was perfection and bulgogi was so juicy and full of flavor. Get the tater tot nachos, you won’t regret it.

Awesome every time.

By OShawnessy |

A friend turned me on to this place. I now go every time I am in Vegas. The tacos with tofu are unbelievable. My friend had bulgogi tacos and raved. Mexican / Korean may sound strange if you have not had it before. Trust me. It is awesome.

Bomb Food

By Kelly T |

Don't let the area fool you - this food is amazing. A little hole in the wall where they are serving delicious, fresh, different food. If you like new things and are open to new flavors - or love Korean food like my husband, try this spot.

Amazing fusion

By Mark H |

KoMex is a go-to lunch and dinner spot! The tacos, tots, nachos, and burritos are awesome. I always go with beef bulgogi and the pork belly for protein and then mix it up with tacos or a burrito.

Yummy fusion and straight up Mexican for you chickens :)

By Sandie K |

My husband has been going here for a few years and I finally had the chance. Bugolgi tacos are to die for as was the nachos. Sampled the fusion chimichanga and it was superb. I wish I lived in Vegas so I could go more often! You can't go wrong here, service was fast and friendly. Yes we waited for our meal because they make it fresh to order and they won't do it any other way nor would I want them to. A real winner and I'm picky!!!

Small Strip Mall Restaurant - with a BIG HEART

By Gord H |

Most folks never see this place amongst the glitz and glamour of Vegas - that is their loss We (3 of us) went there at 1845 hrs on a Saturday night - Were informed by a friendly hostess, that table wait was at least 15 mins, food at least 45 mins... We took menus outside - chose our selections, ordered at the counter... They started to prep our meal - (all meals are fresh prepared from the time you order - no pre-cooked stuff here!!! ) When a table came clear - we were seated - the mango iced tea (we chose unsweetened) ($1.50-with free refills) was terrifiic - not to be missed The homemade corn taco chips and fresh salsa & guacomole arrived - as we waited we had our chips refilled .... The salsa and guacomole were fresh and tasty - absolutely wonderful When our meals arrived the serving size was humongous - quality and flavor were superb - I ordered 3 different tacos (bulgogi, chicken, and spiced pork) ($1.29-$1.59 ea) with the optional kimchee on them. My guests shared a burrito (bulgogi beef) - and were so full - there was no way either would have finished one alone... these things are HUGE Popular plates others around us had ordered included a heaping plate of mexican rice - black beans and chopped everything on it - looked delish!!!!! As we were leaving, the hostess apologized for the wait... I told her "we would gladly wait twice as long!!" Give yourself an extra hour - and treat yourselves to KOMEX in Vegas!!!!! Out of the way - and OUTTA this WORLD!!!

Fantastic Bulgogi

By Gordie B |

I always get the full bulgogi plate and it's always phenomenal food and service. You get your money worth with your food here!!

Asian Fusion Kitchen

By Peter H |

Everything I have had here has been good. That especially goes for the bulgogi fries and fried rice. Decently priced and the hot sauce is incredible.

Back for more

By JDMiller_7 |

Went to the other location on a recent trip to Las Vegas. I had the bulgogi beef quesadilla and a pork belly taco. Total was around $11! By far, this is one of the best deals you'll find in LV. It does take a little longer than other places because they make it to order, but it is so worth it. An amazing fusion of flavors, great price and left thinking about how soon I could get back for my next visit. Don't miss this place.

Great fusion food!

By TravelFamUtah |

Delicious Korean-Mexican fusion. Everything we ordered was wonderful. Service was friendly and quick. They had a fusion tater tot bowl on special which was fabulous.

Good Comfort Food

By cameraric |

I stopped in one day out of curiosity. I’m glad I was curious (and hungry). I had the bulgogi nachos and a bulgogi cheesesteak. Amazing! The prices were very reasonable as well. I definitely have to go back to try even more of the menu.

Great food!

By msamtravel |

We heard about this restaurant from the reviews on tripadvisor, and we definitely were not disappointed! We loved the food, the idea, and they are very quick and efficient! My husband was slightly skeptical, but he loved it! We'll definitely go back when we pass through Vegas next time!

Good Food !!!

Korean an Mexican works well together. Had the Tacos an Nachos both were great. Small mom an pop type place. Everyone very freindly

Unusual steak & cheese sandwich

By Robert R |

Unusual restaurant since they serve versions of both Korean and Mexican food, but I don't see how they came up with cheeseats on their menu. Anyway, my friends and I had the steak n cheese sandwich based on my daughter & son-in-law's recommendations. The bun is about 9 inches long and it was absolutely loaded with chopped steak and cheese. The steak had a bulgogi taste. Very unusual but good tasting sandwich. It was wrapped in a foil but was still messy to eat, so I used a fork and knife. The sandwich came with fries (your standard fries but not as good as Burger King). Lunch cost $15 per person including cokes and tip. Definitely not fast food because they cook the food after you order.

Great food from a hole-in-the-wall!!

By Jeepers_Mimi |

I loved that when arriving here that it was a hole in the wall restaurant. The place is small, but don't let the atmosphere fool you!! The food is fantastic. Bulgogi tacos!!! They give you 3 options for meat. Beef, chicken or pork. My favorite was the pork. They are heavenly. My friend ordered some chinese food and the serving was HUGE! It was good. I ordered a Bulgogi burrito to take to my wife. It was also very good, but it had a bit too much cilantro in it for my taste. Can't wait to try it again!!

Great hole-in-the-wall

By Kim520 |

Went to this place on a Yelp recommendation and was not disappointed! We walked in where you wait to be seated. Once seated, you are given some chips with salsa and guacamole to munch on. We decided to order a pork fusion burrito, pork belly taco, chicken taco, and beef taco. The burrito was my favorite where my husband preferred the tacos. Definitely throw some of the salsa on the food since they really enhance the unique flavors of the Korean/ Mexican fusion. My favorite salsa was the kimchi salsa. I haven't had food like this before but it was delicious.

Hidden Gem

By Ronaldo M |

I can't believe it took us so long to find this hole in the wall in Las Vegas. If you love Korean Food and Mexican and can't choose between the two, this is the place for you. Korean bulgogi tacos and Bibimbap tacos are just some of the crazy dishes. Don't expect fast-food, as everything is made to order. Well worth the visit!

The best

By jgoo1112 |

An off the strip fine on Decatur located in a strip mall. Not many tables so do not go during lunch hours because it can get crowed. Got the burrito and the fried rice. Both the food and service was outstanding. Who would have believed Korean and Mexican.

fun affordable friendly fusion food!

By Art H |

After reading all of the great reviews and also having my friend from LV recommend it, I decided to give Komex a try. It has a well-deserved reputation for large portions, great value and fun fusion food. I tried the bulgogi nachos (a real winner), a pork belly taco (yum!), a shrimp taco (terrific) and the combination fried rice over the course of two dinner visits. While the restaurant isn't going to win any awards for the decor, the friendly staff, terrific food and great value more than make up for the lack of fancy furnishings. Happy to hear that they are opening a 2nd location in LV in the fall of 2013.

Korean and Mexican can be good!

By foote410 |

This place is a little hole in the wall restaurant off the strip in LV. I was doubtful at first (location seems a little sketchy) but the service and food was delicious! The price of food was cheap! I was able to eat under $8 and was full! The Fusion Bulgogi Cheesesteak is awesome! I highly recommend! Also got a side of chicken fried rice and it was really good as well. One of my friends got the Fusion Nachos and she said they were just ok. I tried them and really liked it and would definitely order myself! Nothing special about the looks of the restaurant but if you want great food and service, check this place out! You won't be disappointed!

Amazing!

By Alisha R |

I Love Komex. When my husband first found Komex i was a little unsure about the idea of koren/mexican fusion. It was amazing. everything from their BBQ Sliders to their tacos were great. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They rock!

Great value. Great food

By Michael P |

$12 lunch for my wife and myself. The torta with spicy Korean pork is unbelievable! We've had lunch here on every trip we've made to Vegas and we'll definitely keep coming back

Always a stop when visiting Vegas

By Kimberly W |

I have not missed a meal at Komex when visiting Vegas in about 6 years now. My favorite restaurant, wish there was one where I live. Love the Bulgogi burrito, and the Korean hot sauce is to die for....asked for the recipe but was told it was a secret. Service has always been to notch. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Bulkogi fusion burrito

By Jonathan M |

Brilliant idea fusing Korean & Mexican food! Now Korean food can be eaten on the go. Bulkogi fusion burrito w/ kim chee is umami!!!

Perfect Mix

By Paul H |

I had the bulgogi chimichanga and the combination was fantastic. The flavors of soy sauce and Korean spices mixed with the cilantro, onions and tomatoes were spot on. My family also had the regular and kim chee fried rice. Portions were large and very tasty.

Inexpensive & Tasty Fusion at KoMex!

By Jennifer A |

We ate at KoMex for lunch on Saturday 3/30/13. We knew it was a popular place, so we went right when they opened at 11am. We each ordered a taco fusion that we wanted and shared family style: Fusion Bulgogi Fries (1/2 order) $5.99 - this was really tasty, and a half order was plenty for 5 of us to share. Fusion Pork Burrito $5.99 - this was a huge burrito with Mexican rice, green & brown onions, pico de gallo, lettuce, soy/sesame base sauce. Bulgogi & Spicy Pork combo rice plate $9.99 - the bulgogi was my favoriate, the spicy pork was my husband's favorite I tried the pork fusion taco, others at our table had the beef fusion taco, and the calamari fusion taco. Everything was yummy and so inexpensive. The bill was $37 for the 5 of us, and we took leftover food home! We'll be back to KoMex!

Superb food for good price!

By J B |

This place has fused Korean and Mexican. I was very skeptical but their food is amazing. You can get traditional Korean dishes but I recommend the tacos or burrito. Fill your belly with delightful food for under $10.

Hidden Gem in Vegas

By Teresa S |

My daughter saw a story about this hidden gem on Dives, Diners & Drive throughs or something like that. Great blend of flavors, fresh and delicious. Heard that they are going to franchise. Hope they don't lose the uniqueness. Cheap eats but everything is good.

Delicious Korean Mexican Fusion Food Porn!

By Ken L |

Not on the strip. Not even near the strip. Definitely worth making the effort to eat here. It’s a small place in a nondescript strip mall northwest of downtown. It’s exactly as advertised, a unique fusion of Korean and Mexican. Flavor combinations are unexpectedly delicious. Dishes with familiar names but decidedly different presentation and preparation. You’ll like the prices. It’s a nice break from the ridiculous prices on the strip. Friendly, helpful staff and quick service. Fusion Tostada, featured on The Food Network was excellent. Fusion Tacos were to die for.

Excellent Options of Fusion Food

By NorfolkNative1 |

Went here after reviewing Yelp reviews. Excellent food and prices. Small inside but no wait around 2:30. Locals hangout which makes sense. Great tacos of many meat choices and skillet option mixes of meats and cheeses. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

6 out of 5 hole in the wall heaven

By medicinewizard |

The taste to portion to price ratio is insane. I just paid under $10 for a very satisfactory meal. Didn't realize nachos could taste so good. Secret ingredient appears to be the sauce blend and freshness of the food. The other reviews summarize it very well. Free wifi too.

Successful fusion

By nathanf1975 |

The reviews are correct. It's good! I would not have believed you could fuse Korean and Mexican but this place has done it successfully. Bulgogi in a burrito is just plain awesome. Family run place and atmosphere who were very nice to our kids. We will be back for sure.

Worth the effort

By JDMiller_7 |

If you like to find delicious eateries off the beaten path, then this is the place for you. About 15-20 minutes off the strip in the back of a strip mall, you'll find a crazy mix of Korean and Mexican food in the shape of burritos, tacos and sandwiches. We expected a little wait as discussed in other reviews, but we had our food within minutes of ordering. We split the Bulgogi beef burrito, bulgogi beef taco, calamari taco and the pork belly taco. By far, the beef is a standout. You have to at least get a taco to taste it. The pork belly, however, was really juicy and flavorful too. You'll have to make your own decisions.

Unique and Delicious

By Richard H |

We eat here every time that we are in Las Vegas. My wife is hooked on the "chow". It is fettuccine noodles with a Korean Beef. Its always delicious and served on a huge platter. Sufficient for 2 or 3 people to split. I have always enjoyed the tacos, but this time I tried the nachos on French fries. It was awesome. I highly recommend both dishes. Very reasonably priced and consistently good.

A little out of the way but decent

By JARPOh |

Not bad, especially for the money. A little far from the strip though. Service was good. May go back if in the area.

Good food away from the strip.

By teamhurst |

We stumbled upon this fusion restaurant while looking for a local, off the strip spot. The food was fabulous! The service was great. Although the atmosphere was a bit low, it was a small family owned place. The dishes had large portions and fused Mexican dishes with Asian flavors. Delicious!

Wake Up Tired Tastebuds

By Seymour2013 |

Experienced KoMex Fusion for the first time recently, and the food was amazing! Had Fusion chimichanga and a side of kimchi stir-fried rice with big portions and even bigger taste sensations. Delicious, satisfying, and worth a trip across town or a wait in line for fresh reasonably priced hot food. If you love Mexican food, mix it up with Korean and start a new taste tradition! Expect friendly service with a smile.

AMAZING AND WEIRD

By Krystal C |

This is one of the most confusing restaurants to understand what they are all about. The food though.....SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! You will not regret going to this restaurant. It is Korean/Mexican fusion, again weird concept to wrap your hear around but I had the chimichanga TO DIE FOR "Choice of Meat plus Mexican Rice and Cheese inside Topped with Enchilada Sauce, Cheese, KoMex Slaw and Pico de Gallo! My boss and I also split the "Fusion Nachos/Fusion Fries 1/2 Nacho - 1/2 Fry COMBO: Meat, Mozzarella Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Jalapeno & Korean Hot Sauce" !! TRY THIS PLACE! SERIOUSLY

Amazing!

By CCWSeattle |

In our heads, the idea of Mexican/Korean fusion didn't sound that great, but the place was highly recommended on other sites. We were so delighted to have eaten here - it's delicious, freshly prepared, and the price is right! Next time we are in Las Vegas, we will head straight there. We went for dinner about 6pm, as the place gets very crowded later. If you aren't patient, go to their website and just get take-out.

Fantastic Fusion

By dirigibleplum |

We stopped by on the way into town and it was a fantastic beginning to our stay. Everyone left full and our check was equivalent to an average fast food meal - but at homecooked levels of quality. I appreciated the cash discount! Our young children split an order of spam musubi with fried egg and were happy. My husband and I shared the fusion flautas (stuffed generously with juicy Korean beef) and the bulgogi tots. All the flavors harmonized perfectly and the KoMex sauce was supremely excellent! We'll certainly be back when we are in the area again.

Fantastic Korean Tacos

By charliesthomasjr |

There are 4 side sauces brought to the table; Korean sauce, tomatillo sauce, salsa and spicy salsa. They also give 5% discount for cash.

As fabulous as ever

By Sandie K |

Great salsa and guac, fast service and warm chips! Then they brought us a selection of hot sauces with a fusion influence and I was in heaven. Fusion bulgulgi beef tacos in corn tortillas street style or lettuce wraps. Or the fusion burrito. Or the fries. All with kimchi cause it makes life better and they do it perfectly. If you don't find something delicious to eat here it's hopeless because all their items are worth eating. I don't make a trip to Vegas without a few stops here and now they have 2 locations- double opportunity!! I'm not into ambiance and a few have complained of the lack-but it's clean and the service is prompt. Couple that with darn good food at reasonable prices and you've got a winner.

Komex!

By Vane O |

So we went here after a basketball game it was something different but was so delicous !! Deff eating here again in the future and recommending it to anyone who visits vegas

Never would have expected that!

By OneHappyCouple2007 |

Have read several reviews on KoMex and was out running some errands with the wife and saw this little restaurant. Decided to stop in an try it out. Upon walking in, we were greeted and seated quickly. Menu was explained to us and we placed our orders. Once the food arrived, we could see what everyone had been talking about. Flavors were on point, and the price was right! Glad we stopped in, will be back in the very near future.

so damn good

By John H |

Love their fusion tostadas and nachos. Very addicting. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu actually. Cheap prices too. We go everytime we hit up vegas.

Great food, Huge portions

By scott m |

The bulgogi burrito is sooo good and sooo big. Got it with kimchi added and was barely able to eat it all. One table away a person ordered the chimicanga and when it arrived I heard the guy say "oh my god, what am I suppose to do with this". Great food at a great price but be hungry because you wont be when you leave.

Korean BBQ and Mexican Fusion Restaurant, What's with that?

By Danny_B918 |

Last night we had dinner at KOMEX Express (633 N. Decatur Blvd, Suite H., Las Vegas, NV- 702-646-1612 www.komexexpress.com) Wife had: Fusion Tacos (Korean BBQ inspired Tacos) on Corn Tortillas (3) Bulgogi, Spice Pork or chicken (She had one each and kimchi on the chicken taco) I had a Fusion Torta; Meat with Mayo, Lettuce, Onion, Tomatoes, Avocado, Korean Hot Sauce, Jalapenos We shared a half order of nachos with cheeses, bulgogi, kimchi and jalapenos. Everything was fresh, cooked to order and delicious and the price was great. We are going back for more soon. Thank You Linda

Delicious!!

By Yvonne L |

First time at this restaurant. Ordered a Fusion Quesadilla and it was amazing! Their fried rice was great too. Very, VERY good food. Get there early, as space is limited, but the portions are immense. Look for this hidden gem when visiting Las Vegas.

Excellent twist on traditional mexican

By Jpjpporter |

Come hungry food is great and price is reasonable. Portions are big big enough to share some of their entrees. It doesn't look like much from the outside but this is a great restaurant! You definitely get you our money's worth

Little "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant with over-the-top food and service

By Halrice |

My nephew brought me here for dinner and I was impressed with the friendliness and concern of the staff - never too busy to explain different dishes. The food that we ordered was delicious - and all of it coming out of a not very large kitchen. This is a "find" in Las Vegas - be sure to include in your plans when visiting our city.

Hidden gem!

By bevandkiki |

This was a tiny restaurant, but the food was spectacular! And the price was very reasonable. We will definitely be going back!

Bugolgi Quesadillaa!!

By BugattiBoi88 |

You have not lived until you have ate KoMex!!! I use to eat at the Decatur location ALL the time and I am super excited that this new location is less than a mile away now! That can be either good or bad :-/ it's not the most healthy food but it for sure hits the spot every time! Tonight I placed a to-go order which seems to be the more efficient and time effective way to get your food without much of a wait! I do know that they are a fresh to order kind of place so it's not like you can walk in and anything on the menu is already prepared! Tonight I ordered the Bulgogi quesadillas and the musubi with spam and a fried egg! Delicious! I usually get the Bulgogi fries but tonight I switched it up! This place is a MUST! If you're looking to order a cocktail they do have a bar in this location which is most definitely a PLUS! Go KoMex!

We hit this place up every time we're in Vegas

By FitTeacher |

This is a fusion of Mexican and Korean food that is off the strip, in fact not even close to the strip, but is well worth the trip to have their delicious food. My favorite dishes are the fusion bulgogi nachos and the fusion tacos. My wife had the fusion bulgogi tostado, which was quite interesting because instead of using a regular corn tortilla shell, they used a shell made of hardened white rice. My wife really liked it and found it quite tasty. If you get there during their busy time, you may have to wait for your food. You may consider ordering your food before you get there. Other meals we have had are fusion chimichanga, the fusion quesadia and the fusion chow fun fettucini. We have not be disappointed with any of their dishes. The next time you're in Vegas, you have to check this place out!

Delicious & Interesting lunch

By BMaj0r |

I had enchiladas, 2 with the pork Bulgogi, & 1 with beef Bulgogi. It came with white rice (with a slight reddish hue) and a plain, lettuce, tomato, & red onion salad. It was all tasty, but what my husband & son had was even better. My son had beef tostada, the beef was Korean flavoured, with avocado, lettuce on a nice, fresh flatbread. My husband had the fish tacos, which was very good.

Fabuloso!

By BuyBuys |

Came here for lunch today and it was soooo good. I had 3 different style tacos, but my favorite was the calamari one. The kimchi rice has a unique delicious flavor and their chips and salsa and guacamole were good as well.

People staying on the LV strip: You deserve a break today!

By BlackAcreSouthDakota |

This was truly an experience, Komex. http://www.yelp.com/biz/komex-fusion-express-las-vegas This is a very small, unassuming restaurant in a dingy little Las Vegas strip mall. The restaurant holds a maximum of 38 people, but they do a big take out business. They have one waitress, and she just plain moves through the restaurant. Efficient, no non-sense and just friendly enough to keep people coming back. I ordered the nachos, having given in to the reviews. Even half an order was massive, loaded with Korean marinated beef, mozzarella, some veggies and a few jalapeños. I ate maybe a third of the half order, but the homemade chips and everything on them were great. What I found unusual and impressive was that they layer everything. Often you end up with a bunch of bare chips at the bottom of an order of nachos. Not true here. Clearly they start with chips, then cheese and other goodies, more chips and build to the top. Really an impressive dish. I ordered the Bulgogi with rice, actually the spicy meat and rice that is known as dak-gagi. Now they call this a fusion dish. I don't know with what. It was marinated meat and onions on one side of the plate and the other was plain white rice. Together it was really lovely. The folks next to me were given a fusion burrito of some sort, the waitress having explained that they made it by mistake. It looked like a chipotle burrito, but it contained a marinated Korean meat, rice and other accompaniments. It looked really good. That might have been the best item to order. In addition, every table is given complimentary homemade corn tortilla chips, salsa and guacamole. Great guac, nice and lumpy, not very much heat, but quite enjoyable. Finally, the food was served on real plates with real flatware, not fancy, but not paper or plastic. The portions are large, the price is minimal. A great time.

Cheap and Delicious

By bonefish2 |

My daughter had visited this restaurant a few months ago and raved about the food. She exclaimed, "Dad, you and your friends will love the food here and it is sooo affordable." Nuff said! I was determined to eat my fill of Korean-Mexican Fusion, especially since I LOVE tacos and bulgogi...well, anything Korean and Mexican, but the thought of these two favorites fused together???!!!YEAH!!! We thought we'd start off with a few tacos and probably order more STUFF, but we were very satisfied with the following: fusion bulgogi fries ($7.99); Calamari, shrimp and fish tacos ($2.59 each), & Fusion Tacos w/lettuce wrap. Everything was damn good, especially the fusion tacos & fries. I was eyeing the next table just filled with all kinds of goodies, but their last dish of fried rice made me salivate. Unfortunately, I was too full after consuming two fusion tacos and several heaps of their delicious fries, smothered with beef, cheese, etc. All four of us left with smiles on our faces with a few inches added to our belly. We will be back next October for another annual reunion of friends from "way back when."

Korean/Mexican Fusion

By lasvegasfreeway |

This restaurant is all about taking Korean and Mexican foods and combining them together. The food is also made fresh to order. When I went there I had the 2 fusion tacos, kimchi fried rice, and the 3 meats on a stick. Along with 2 drinks and the bill came to $27 dollars. The portions are generous. Also note that there are two locations now. The original at Hwy 95 and Decatur, and the new location at the corner of Buffalo and Flamingo. There is more seating at the new location. Hours - Tuesday to Saturday 11:00am to 9:00pm, and Sunday 11:00am to 8:00pm. The Buffalo location is closed on Monday.

Great food and service!!

By Polaoboii |

I went to this place last week with my family and I can say that their food and service are outstanding. The food was very inexpensive and everything we ordered tasted great. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes a different style of taste...bulgogi tacos to nachos. It's a very good combination of Korean and Mexican mixture. FYI, it's not very big inside, probably seats about 20 people, but it's worth the wait...service is fast.

Great fusion Korean & Mexican

By bu1larry |

Food is great, The bulgogi street tacos are amazing. (Add kimchi!!) The service is good as it can get due to small size. Just so you don't get upset.... expect a wait during normal eating times. (Lunch time for example)

5 star perfection

By Foodpoet |

Not often do I taste a dish that cannot be improved on. The fusion tostada infused flavors that just kept me wanting more. Shredded lettuce and red cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro, chopped green onion, add to this sliced spicy pork on a bed of sticky white rice, crispy on the top and bottom was perfect...add the Korean sauce with a touch of sweetness and fresh salsa conveniently in squeeze bottles and your taste buds are in orbit. A chicken taco rounded out this a memorable meal. In a busy little strip mall, modest interior ,pleasant service. A gem of a place

Love Love Love This Place!

By AdrianGlv |

Much more than a simple fusion restaurant, the food at KoMex is seriously awesome. No matter what you order, I highly recommend the bulgogi pork as your meat choice. I was hooked for a long time on the bulgogi pork and rice platter - simple yet delicious. But my new favorite is the bulgogi enchiladas! The slightly sweet yet spicy pork is the perfect counterpoint to the smokey, savory red enchilada sauce... It's heaven! Plus the owners and staff are incredibly friendly, which makes every visit a real joy. Best of all, they recently opened another location at Buffalo and Flamingo which is even closer to where I live - yay!! Quick note: The food at KoMex is prepared to order, so please please please don't go there if you're in a big rush and think that yelling and complaining about the "speed of service" is some sort of right. If you don't have the time and can't appreciate the care that's taken to prepare truly quality food, just go somewhere else and don't ruin the experience for the rest of us!! :)

It's an okay place

By beagle1984 |

After reading the reviews, we decided to try Komex. We ordered the bulgogi fries and the fusion burrito with pork belly. The portion size of both were huge and both were tasty while offering a unique taste though the pork belly had lots of fat.

Great Korean-Mexican fusion

By bu1larry |

Food & service was great! Seat is good as it can get due to small size. Just so you don't get upset.... expect a wait during normal eating times. (Lunch time for example)

fusion of korean mexican brilliant

By M8738TIjm |

they have two locations this is my third time eating komex food, second time at the larger restaurant, a must try their taco kim chee with bulgogi just two dollars, and the quesadilla bulgogi delicious, tacos enough for one person, but there other dishes like nachos, burrito, quesadilla can be shared, also there chips and salsa on the house different from other places like it better than the corn chips, not sure if it is flour or corn, but deep fried hawaii people give it a try if you like korean and mexican food than most likely you will enjoy komex

A Simple Pleasure

By Frederick R |

This is a simple, inexpensive and delicious treat away from the maddening Las Vegas crowd. The two Komex restaurants are in strip malls easily overlooked. This is our third time having traveled from Pennsylvania on business. Somehow the blend of Mexican and Korean cuisines work. Be sure to try the Korean slaw and for a treat, catch the newer Komex which has a happy hour well worth the visit.

Don’t miss this!!

By vodkaman3 |

Amazing. The flavors blended so well. Great proprietor. The good reviews are Right on! The bulgogi is all sooooo good!

Surprisingly a fusion that is better then the sum of its parts.

By Justin D |

Korean food is awesome. Mexican food is awesome. Mixing them probably shouldn't work. But, it more then works. I have been here multiple times. Every time is a surprise when ordering something new.

Great food

By Sam O |

Great food, if dinning in, leave time because always busy. Tried different plates and all were good. Good service and very clean

How do you say delicious in Mexican and Korean?

By Melissa D |

Put Komex on your list. If you are ever in Vegas, or driving through Vegas, or in the vicinity of Vegas go to Komex. If you are someone who likes a family friendly, wallet friendly, tummy friendly place then Komex will be your friend. It's Korean-Mexican fusion. The food is cheap but delicious. And that's an understatement. The staff is gracious and accommodating. And there is another understatement. The food is interesting but not for the sake of being interesting. They don't use crazy or exotic ingredients, just blend lots of normal things in a unique way that will make your taste buds go mmmmm. My brother and his wife are obsessed. They sent us there and although the GPS said we were at the right address we had to call to be sure. Then we sent a picture to be totally sure. It's in a rough neighborhood in a run down strip mall with small booths and a half working neon sign. This couldn't be the place we had read rave reviews about. But it was. We were in the right place. We were soooooo in the right place. Eat this: Bulgogi Beef Fried Rice - very large portion Pork Fusion Tostada Fusion Tacos Wontons When you go, tell them Brian and Liz from St. George sent you. Then you will be treated like family. I have a feeling they treat everyone like family at Komex. But instead of a distant cousin, you are in, like a favorite sibling. Check it out http://www.onourbeatenpath.com/2012/05/put-komex-on-your-list.html

Fantastically Fresh and Flavorful

By jcstich |

KoMex Fusion Express was highlighted in the LV Sun as having a great dish called Jim's Bulgogi Fried Rice. My wife I enjoy bulgogi as well as fried rice so we decided to stop in today. The aroma as we entered made our mouths water. We opted for a full order of Fusion Bulgogi Fries, a full order Chicken Bulgogi Plate and instead of Jim's Bulgogi Fried Rice I opted for a full order of Beef Kimchee Fried Rice. We ordered the full orders of everything because they were only $2 more. We received enough food for at least four people and had to take at least half the food back in boxes. Everything was so fresh and tasty. We thought the Bulgogi Fries would be good, but they absolutely blew us both away. It was absolutely fantastic! The Chicken Bulgogi and Beef Kimchee Fried Rice were likewise fantastic but we were expecting very good things from these so it wasn't quite as impressive. A tray with an assortment of house-made hot sauces accompanied the food. They were exquisite - just the right amount of heat balanced with other flavors. If you enjoy Bulgogi (Korean barbecue) you MUST try this place the next time you are in Las Vegas. You will need a car or have take a cab to get there, but the trip is absolutely worth it.

Amazing food! Don't miss this...

By Weary Traveller |

Absolutely amazing food, best place I've eaten in two weeks in Vegas. The fusion tostada is unreal for $5, everything we tried on the menu was epic..

Fantastic combination of Korean flavor with Mexican delights

By Kirk R |

The atmosphere is not pretentious. You go to Komex because you like flavor -- not too spicy but delightfully combined with Mexican fare. The bulgogi beef (especially with Korean sweet sauce is added) is extraordinary. The familiar enchiladas, burritos, and tacos are no longer ho-hum. Excellent prices, too, make Komex a favorite for us every time we visit Las Vegas.

Great find

By sndovale |

We'll go again. Don't be put off by the "hole in the wall" appearance. The food is unique and very tasty. We enjoyed the kimche fried rice and the fusion burrito. We loved the fusion fries. This is one of those "discoveries" you hope for on vacation.

Fresh and Creative Fusion

By J C |

KoMex Fusion was recommended by a flight attendant who lives in Las Vegas. I am very thankful for his recommendation, because the Korean-Mexican food was fantastic. Made quickly, the taste was unique without putting off anyone in my dining party. If you want to try something new and tasty, give KoMex a try.

Fusion Fun!

By Sally N |

This was my first visit to KoMex, although friends and co-workers had told me the food was good. They weren’t wrong! I had the fusion chicken burrito, my daughter had nachos and my friend had the Spam musubi. We enjoyed our lunch and we’ll be back!

Good lunch

By LV_Lee |

Quick, good work lunch? We each enjoyed a unique disk and enjoyed a quick lunch here. Interesting fusion.

Excellent every time

By Mel954 |

Most recently ordered for pick up. Food was excellent as always. Love this place, great food and so affordable.

Excellent fusion tacos

By westie2 |

This small, but popular Korean/Mexican restaurant, is located on Decatur Blvd. The staff was very friendly and offered to take our order while we waited for a table. Our fried wontons, 4 per serving and costing a mere $1, were good, but totally unnecessary since they were preceded by complimentary house made chips, salsa and guacamole. Our order of 4 barbecue tacos (2 pork, 1 chicken and a beef) came with cilantro, cabbage, onions and kimchee, the latter being optional. Each was very good to excellent, though next time I would skip the beef in flavor (sic) of the pork or chicken.

Um- Yum!

By kelty davis |

A local friend recommended this place for lunch while we were in town conference and it was amazing. I ordered the bulgogi rice bowl and after the first bite I didn't say hardly another word. It was so good! The spices, sauces and heat were perfect. The service was fast and friendly. I absolutely loved it and have never had anything like it!

YUMMY!!!!

By Roxana |

Love the combination of Korean & Mexican. The fusion spicy pork torta is my absolute favorite! can't get enough of it. It's family owned, they are super friendly. They ALWAYS get my carry out orders RIGHT! Love them!!!

Deliciously different!

By Sandie K |

We come here with every Vegas visit as it is by far the best real meal deal! Fusion Korean and Mexican menu, lots of choices, great prices, excellent portions, all served fresh to order and with a smile! They have 2 locations; can't find the new one but rest assured it's the same menu created by Sonny and Linda.

If you like Korean food, you must try this place!

By James S |

The kimchi fried rice prepared in other restaurants is often too oily or too spicy, or both. It is hard to get the balance just right. Well, at Komex, the kimchi fried rice was cooked just right. It was one of the best kimchi fried rice I had in a long time. My teenage daughter ordered the cheesestake sandwich, which came with bulgogi and melted cheese, and had a unique taste, and it overall tasted pretty good. It was really huge, and we took half of it home. The fusion taco, with bulgogi meat, was fantastic too. The service was fast and friendly, and the manager (the owner?) even served us some authentic kimchi. I was first skeptical of all the 5 and 4 star reviews, but after a meal there, I completely agree with the other folks.

Delicious & the price is right!

By InstyleTiffany |

KoMex has been in this Decatur location for years, I travel this area so many times & I don’t know why I just discovered it lately. I’ve been going once a week. So far, I highly recommend Fusion Chimichanga. It is so good and huge!... If you’re the type who can’t take hot & spicy, Bulgogi bowl is right food for you it’s all in one bowl but separately presented meaning you can take out the jalapeños first and add on just enough to your spice level. You eat the greens separately or mix it. But you have to mix the soft egg, beef, kimchi with the rice and its heavenly delicious. My daughter keeps ordering the fusion beef burrito, every time! It must be that good because she refused to try other ones in the menu. I plan to try all listed on the menu and give a review again if I find anything I don’t like. It can get very busy specially lunch time. But luckily no parking problem yet.

Not Mexican and Not Korean

By Pam717 |

We actually visited the location on South Buffalo. The food was a strange mixture of Korean and Mexican. I do like both cuisines separately but I was not too enamored of the chimichanga that I odered. In fact, the whole thing tasted rather odd.

Best in Town

By dirigibleplum |

We make sure to come here whenever we are in the area. The food is always as just as good as I remembered, and the service is top notch. The veggie burrito is an awesome option for plant-based folks. Get extra hot sauce because it is addictive! See you next time we are in town 👍

A nice find, glad I went

By mauiwolf |

KoMex Fusion Express was written up in the local paper, so I decided to stop in and give it a shot. It isn't in the best part of town and it's in a strip mall, so I had to search it out because I would never have found it on my own. It's obviously a family business, as the parents and their two children (I assume) were working the day I went in. They have put together Korean BBQ and put those meats into traditional Mexican and Chinese dishes. It works well. Korean BBQ has always been some of the best BBQ in my opinion anyway, so why wouldn't it work? My wife had a beef burrito and accented it with a Korean sweet chili sauce that really made it extra tasty. I had, essentially, chow fun with a collection of beef, chicken and shrimp. I had a half order and it was plenty. Both dishes were delicious. The meal began with a small plate of chips with some salsa and guacamole. It ended with fortune cookies. The only negatives were no fountain drinks, so there are no free refills, and they brought my wife's burrito out and she was almost done eating it before my food arrived. So, the service was a little lacking. And, it's a small place with maybe 10-15 tables, so it wouldn't take much to get it busy. All in all, I would definitely go back again so I can try out some other dishes. The food was great and I look forward to another try.

The best meal i had in Las Vegas

By Brian G |

This is an amazing budget restaurant. The portions here are not only good they are fracken huge. I can not rave about this place enough as i would consider it the best money i spent on my trip to vegas. if you want white table cloths and romance stay away as it is in a run down strip mall. That being said i think it kind of added to the ambiance that this whole in the wall place offers. The bulgogi nachos were fantastic and a true delight. I also ordered some nachos a chimichanga and a few korean tacos. All that was good but what surprised me was how good the fried rice was. Traditional chinese restaurants could learn a thing or two from this place. All in all i had a amazing meal, i ordered way more than any human could possibly eat and the final price for the 2 of us was under 30 bucks.

Worth the drive

By kdub_lewis |

Driving through Vegas with some friends, we were convinced to take the detour and stop here for lunch. I was a bit skeptical, but it didn't disappoint. Great prices and better food! I got two Korean beef tacos and it was plenty! But the flavour is what makes these awesome... So delicious. Highly recommend it to anyone!

great food and huge portions!

By michellesyc |

definitely get the kimchi fried rice -- it's one of the best i've had! the bulgogi plate was on the sweet side and i don't think my dad was raving about his bulgogi burrito so i guess it would be safer to stay with regular korean food!! definitely worth a visit away from the strip

Korean and mexican fusion

By Mjkunz48 |

This Korean mexican fusion restaurant looked yummy from all the reviews. I thought it was underwhelming but maybe I didn’t order the right thing. I got 2 fusion tacos. It had Korean chicken and slaw on it with pico. It was pretty basic.

Never Dissapoints

By JLars34 |

Best fusion food I've had. Whether it's the street tacos, the quesadilla, the Philly steak sandwich, or burritos, you won't go wrong. The best part is having it accompanied with the fried rice. I eat here with friends once a month. Been doing that for nearly two years. Yes it's that good!

Yummy and tasty!

I was excited to try Korean and mexican food fused together. We ordered the cheesesteak with bulgogi meat and peppers, and loaded tots with bulgogi meat, aioli and cheese. The 1/2 chips and 1/2 fries nachos was good too with bulgogi meat, cheese and pico. They spicy korean sauces were good too, not too spicy The portions are just right and we left very full!

Korean/Mexian fusion? Yes!

Wonderful "mom & pop" restaurant off the beaten path. Food is great if you like both Asian and/or Mexican. The fusion dishes are cool as all get out. Never thought I'd have a tostada on a 1/2 inch rice tortilla! Great little restaurant!

Great food, nice change from chain restaurants

Our family was in Vegas for spring break. With a child needing gluten and dairy free food, and a desire to avoid the smoke-filled restaurants in our hotel (Mandalay Bay), we found KoMex on the Internet. Portions were huge, the server was helpful and attentive, and the food was delicious! For a family of five, our total was very reasonable at $42, and we were stuffed. We took home half of it to eat later.

Great food option off the strip

Yummy fusion food. Tried the pork belly and chicken tacos, bulgogi nachos and pork tostada. Food came quickly in a no frills, paper plate presentation. Really enjoyed the tacos with Korean sauce, nachos were also tasty. Less fond of the tostada - liked the meat but not so sure about the crispy rice “tortilla.” Very affordable as well. Highly recommend.

Cool idea, some good some just ok

My husband and I came here based on great ratings on Yelp while we stayed in Las Vegas (glad we rented a car!) Who knew Korean-Mexican fusion would work? I was very happy with the fries, which is on most reviews, and they are spot-on. Half order for the two of us was perfect, we couldn't stop eating it, they tasted so good! But I was dissappointed with my main dish... I got the fusion spicy pork tortas and it was not worth the $8, in fact, pretty bland and bread just fell apart. I ended up throwing out half of it out. My husband ordered spam and eggs rice dish that he enjoyed. He was even able to order cans of Squirt, which we haven't had in so long! Overall, it is worth a try but stick to the meat and rice combo rather than a sandwich - we'll go back next time we're in town and I'll be ordering something else!

AMAZING!!!!

I lived in Korea and am always looking for a good place to get Korean food. So happy we found Komex. I dare say that the Kimchi Fried Rice is the best that I have had in America. We will definitely be going there again. I wish there was one closer to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Fusion at its finest

We had heard of Komex through some Las Vegas websites. Finally, we decided to give it a try. It is a fusion of Mexican and Korean and others. The Beef Bulgogi Cheesesteak blew us away. Bulgogi tacos, burritos, and flautas at special. Next trip we are trying the Bulgogi Nachos. Really looking forward to it. Venture out to this little restaurant. It is special and different. They have a sweet staff who will help you navigate the menu.

Vegas locals love KoMex!!

We stopped in for a casual lunch. The Bulgogi Kimchee Fried Rice and the Wonton Soup were so good. Location lacks visual appeal, but variety and quality of food make it a family favorite!

Annual visit to Vegas and Komex

By Karen G |

For the 5th or 6th time, in as many years I have made my annual pilgrimage to Vegas to play cribbage with friends, and since we found this gem we have made it a habit to have our lunch there before we start our weekend tournaments. The food is always hot, tasty and generously portioned. The staff has always been pleasant and extremely accommodating when we walk in with a group of 12 or more. Thank you so much.

OUTSTANDING!

This was our second visit to Komex and the entire Vegas police force couldn't keep me away from this place for our next visit. There's not too many MUST GO TO places for us when we vacation in Vegas but this place is most definitely one of them. Just one word of advice, make sure you come hungry because you're going to love whatever you order and the portions are HUGE! Super friendly people who run the place also. Gotta try the bulgogi tater tots and spicy pork burrito.......yummmmo!

It should not work but it does!

A fusion of Korean and Mexican foods sounds like a disaster but is not. The food is creative, delicious and unique on many levels. The restaurant has no ambiance , but plenty of customers enjoying their food. A tater tot casserole with bulgolgi meat, tomatoes, green onions, cheese and Korean hot sauce was wonderful and a burrito was also stuffed with Korean meat and Mexican toppings. Portions were generous and half of one meal went home for a second meal. Service was friendly and fast, and the waitstaff of one was amusing and diverting without saying a word. Items to try in the future include Korean Nachos or a Philly cheesesteak itch Korean meats.

An explosion of flavor in your mouth! This should be at least a 10!

This is just a little place in a strip mall in Las Vegas but it's got flavor that could fit right in the largest casino and restaurant space. Everything is made fresh to order and it's just a wonderful explosion of flavors! We tried a half order of bulgogi with rice and a half order of kimchi fried rice plus an order of chicken wings and split it three ways and we had more than enough to eat. They bring you some homemade chips, salsa and guacamole for you to snack on as you wait. There is no alcohol served at this location but their other locations do serve alcohol. Check their website for the other locations. The staff are top notch and you won't lack for anything. They have a wonderful tray of different sauces with different heat levels and some smoky and some not. Really super. We loved it all and for all three of us to have that huge meal it was only $24.87. You can't get a better meal with exceptional quality and quantity anywhere else. Super clean, too. We chose the Korean fusion dishes but they also serve Mexican with a twist and even American food. We saw some sliders come out that look wonderful and every dish that came out had our mouths watering!
