So good!!!

By AmericanExplorers |

Decided to eat here, based on the other reviews....they weren’t wrong- this place is hidden gem! Great food, great service, great prices!!! I had the delicious beef bulgogi and my husband had the spicy pork bulgogi - he was a little disappointed that it wasn’t spicier but the flavor was still delicious. And the cucumber kimchi is awesome! We will definitely be back!

Cheap Eats & Korean Fusion!

This place is a hidden gem! A friend of mine and I just happened to find it and we walked in as soon as they just opened, so the place was empty when we got there. But around lunchtime, we assume it should be bustling and busy because the food and service are fantastic! The waiter was especially friendly, made sure if we were enjoying our food and or if we needed anything else. His service was very down to earth and we enjoyed his service. The food is flavorful and excellent in quality and price. I had the lunch special that had 4 small tacos and I was even able to to divide it with half spicy pork and half bulgogi just to try out the marinade here and it was far better than I had anticipated. Fusion food is hard to please but they did an excellent job of putting Korean and Mexican favorites together. Give this place a try! I'll definitely be returning again!

Good lunch spot

This place is my go to for a good lunch break. They have really good lunch prices and the portions are good and will fill you up. The servers aren't the best but they are nice and get the job done. The food is really good. I love their cream cheese puffs and the sauce that comes with it! If you are looking for a nice lunch either by yourself or with a couple of coworkers I definitely recommend kogi. (I have never been here for dinner.)

Simple Korean food

Our friends suggested this place as it is the only Korean restaurant in our area. Very good Korean food for beginners. They start you with the more popular dishes like bulgogi, bibimpa, kalbi, chapsae etc. They give you a taste of some of their more common kimchis, like cabbage kimchi and daikon kimchi. Maybe if you have their dinner menu maybe they serve a more extensive array of kimchis.

Awesome Kimchi & Traditional Dishes!!! LOVE IT!

Was looking for a place for lunch and found this little gem! Food is amazing! Service is great. If you've not tried Korean, the servers will help you. If you're Korean (or wish you were for the food), you'll love it, too. You've got to try it!

Excellent Korean

Get the marinated rib tips. Bring your friends here to eat. Everything we had was really good. I’d come back and try other dishes.

Good "Cheap Eats"

By barry b |

Kogi Korean Grill is located in a strip mall which fronts Vance Jackson and De Zavala Road. The decor is simple, and could use some upgrades to make it lighter and more more appealing. The food is cheap and very good. We had the lunch special which consisted of spicy pork bulkogi and spicy chicken bulkogi. Each dish was accompanied by steamed rice, kim chi, bean sprouts and 2 cheese puffs. The dishes were not over spiced and were very tasty. Alcoholic drinks were priced very reasonably. Overall a good place for lunch.

Korean food in good neighborhood

By Daniela N |

This Korean restaurant is in better neighborhood comparing to most other Korean restaurants that I have visited in San Antonio. Menu is simple and not very traditional Korean food. However, this place does have some excellent dishes. I like the regular menu way much more than lunch menu. Service was kind of ok. Not too good, not too bad. They do serve mix drink as well.

Will definitely be back for more!

I ordered take out and did not have to wait very long. I had the beef bulkogi, rice, traditional kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and zucchini. The traditional kimchi was ok, but the cucumber kimchi was great! The beef was seasoned really well and didn't need soy or anything else. The restaurant was nice, clean and had a great atmosphere. I can't wait to visit again, and I look forward to tasting more of the menu.
