Really nice place !

By Dorian H |

Went to it with my wife for our second night in Miami. It's not a fency restaurant, but it worth it ! I was really impressed by the quality of the sushi, I can rate it in my top 5 sushi restaurant in the US : nice presentation, nice taste, nice service !

Kone Sushi, an absolute gem

By Susan V |

While staying at the intercontinental, we stumbled upon Kone Sushi. The reviews were good, so glad we took a chance. The service was impeccable, the wait staff attentive, and Joel the sushi chef was able to deliver each roll to our specifications. His recommendations were spot on, we enjoyed every morsel. We wish Kone was open on Sundays so we could visit once more before we depart. We will visit again any time we are in Miami.

just perfect

Excellent food and service

By Filipe Almeida |

This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants... The food is great and worth the price. I've been a regular customer and have never begin disappointed with anything. They used to be located in South Beach but they moved to a bigger and better place in downtown and I won't stop coming in because of that. The Pure Protein and the M.O. rolls are my favorite!! Please, come visit them on their new location and I guarantee you won't regret it. The only thing I miss is the Groupon they used to have (I can't find it anymore). Please Kone staff, bring it back!! Obrigado!

We have been there before and it was good. This time we had the impression to eat sushi from a fastfood...not tasty and cheap. Sorry but we are not going back.

Good surprise in downtown Miami

By DrTM8 |

Located in downtown Miami, it was a surprise to find a good Japanese style restaurant. Good ambiance, we did not try any sushi, sashimi or rolls. We preferred hot appetizers like shrimp tempura and ordered hot entrées like salmon teriyaki and hibachi steak all served with white rice, steamed vegetables and missô soup (there is also a choice of house salad). The food tasted good and came in good portions, the staff was courteous (mostly were Brazilians) and prices were good value. One salmon teriyaki entrée or hibachi steak is US$ 17.95. Extras are drinks and desserts.

Amazing Food

By gobersi |

Had lunch here with my colleagues and they don't eat sushi, but the fried rice was amazing, one of the best I ever had.

Not a good cook!

By Faguerrevere |

Ingredients were fine but they were not cooked correctly. Rice was specially bad. Won’t order from here again.

Cute place, great sushi!

By Mistellaluna |

Stopped in for dinner. Got the "crunchy monster," which was delicious! Judging from others' meals, pretty much everything looked great. The restaurant, itself, was very cute. A very pleasant feel. And although I didn't get a drink, they had some nice looking cocktails on the menu, as well.

Very good

By alessandra p |

The sushi was really delicious and light. We loved it and will be back and the place is in a very nice location. Our waiter was Pierluigi and he explained everything very well and was very kind!

Yum!

By reasonabletravelers |

The food was exceptional. The staff was friendly and they allowed us to customize our order with brown rice and different sauces. The atmosphere is perfect- good music, lighting and outside dining.

Have ordered several times with uber eats and was impressed with the quality. Had the pleasure of stopping in for happy hour and loved the atmosphere and menu .

Great Food! Elegant atmosphere.

By On3Lov3 |

A warm welcome awaits you when you walk in. Carolina was very attentive and made sure that all needs were met. The food is AMAZING, from the presentation to the taste. The Owner made a personal visit to our table which was MAJESTIC. Dessert is a must to complete the Kone experience.

as an intro to sushi, v impressive

By barrera |

This was the first time we had really tried a sushi-type restaurant. Thanks to Kone, it won't be the last. As well as serving delicious food, it is quite a cool bar, v popular with beautiful people in their 20s, so the people watching is quite good. Service was mixed, but overall well worth trying.

Kone, the one and only

By Alex P |

Excellent food; no two ways about it....excellent service; very personable, patient and friendly. Great size portions; my nephew is 6'6" and 400 lbs and he was happy with an entree size portion and an appetizer size portion. It ain't often that happens!! Great atmosphere too; just off the beaten path of South Beach. No need to dress up but people who eat here dress biz casual level. Would definitely return whenever I'm in the area.

Kinda Disappointing

By Chris B |

The tried the ceviche sampler and crab kone. The food was good enough but the service is awful! I'm server is really nice but is a no show. I've been sitting here for over ten minutes with an empty glass waiting to order dessert and hopefully receive my check. At least I have the menus to keep me company since they were never cleared along with my finished plates.

Sushi and more sushi

By juancamilo08 |

This place is located in the heart of down town miami, and is excellent, if you love sushi you must go and try it, they offer an all you can eat menu for 29$ which offers like 8 different types of rolls, cones, and little bites, and dessert, this place is a must, go and check it out.

The best sushi I had in Miami

By Tatyana P |

The rolls were delicious and the service is good everywhere in Miami. One of the best sushi I have ever had in my life! Definitely will go there again when in Miami

Execution with improvement potential

By Lata67 |

Sushi should not only be food, but food art. While the rolls were nit bad tastewise, they lacked proper elaboration. Rice falling off, rolls sticking together, kone (which given the restaurant's name should be THE dish) a mixture of ingedients without any differentiating feature...

Amazing!!!

By Thaís E |

Food very fresh, amazing all you can eat, good price, and the server are super friendly. For sure I will be back!

Brilliant sushi!!!!

By Janieb07 |

The sushi here is amazing! The service was also impeccable and our waiter advised us which rolls to try as this was our first visit. Recommend the following rolls: The Master Ohata, Dragon, crunchy monster and magma!!! We will be back when we visit Miami again!

Japanese food with a touch of Brazilian - incredible

By pejenn |

Incredible. I have never had Japanese food with a touch of Brazilian flavor in it. Not only were the food really good, the portions of fish they put in their hand rolls .... a good surprise - just look at the photos. Most restaurants puts more rice than fish because it’s cheaper for them. Their hand rolls were mostly really fresh salmon. Chef Denise’s special sauce in their ceviche is very delicious. Salmon Poke Bowls and Hand Rolls are highly recommend. Our server Camila was so nice and helpful. Next time in your Miami, you have to eat here.

delicious!

shared the paella and it was SO delicious, and SO worth the price! the atmosphere was perfect and also the location was so pretty! i loved every part of the dinner!

Sketchy wine service!

By Ashlee2614 |

After attending a concert this past Saturday night, a friend and I decided on wine and sushi. We chose Kone and ordered a couple of appetizers and a bottle of Santa Margarita. We were brought an open bottle of Cupcake Pinot Grigio (about six dollars a bottle), the server just started pouring it. We asked why we didn't recieve what we ordered and she said "well we were out, but this is similar"....... Um...No..... May I see the wine list again. We decide on a bottle of BV Pinot Noir and the manager brings it to us so I was starting to feel a little better about the situation... until I noticed that it was opened up as well. I questioned why he didn't open it in front of us he said, " I opened it up behind the bar, I just opened it up, I promise, there wasn't enough room (I don't know how big his wine opener is but he had plenty of space to uncork a bottle of wine) and I would have to practically lean over the table"... I said "yeah so go ahead, I do it everyday at work"... he just pulls the cork back out of the bottle and filled up each glass, didn't let us try it, just filled them both up. This wine tasted like it had been opened up earlier that week, there's absolutely no way that was a brand-new bottle of wine. At this point I just started laughing we asked our server for our check, finished our appetizers and went on the search for a decent place. The food was great by the way, our server was very polite and attentive. It's a shame management was not trained properly.

Great Service & Great sushi

By Denisehurtado |

My friends and I were walking around Downtown, Miami and doing our shopping and decided to eat sushi and saw this nice looking place close to the hotel. We were greeted by a nice guy which I assume was not the hostess but one of the servers. Very nice personality. Overall, it was a great place to eat sushi and have a couple of beers. We had the tsunami roll, crunchy monster, salmon special, California roll, and the hot Philadelphia. To drink a couple of beers, and a tea. Along w a seaweed salad and a house salad. Love the ginger dressing. The guy that greeted us and sat us down was also our server, busser and bar tender bec he made our drinks himself as I saw from our table. The place is not really that big so you are able to see everything they do. His name was Ivan, and he was extremely professional and extremely attentive to our table. He suggested a few drinks and a few sakes along w their daily specials. Wish every where go someone would be as attentive and outgoing as him. Would recommend him as a server anytime. He seemed to know he's work and very imigable while attending our table. Even after attending other tables. Thanks Ivan. Next time we visit Miami, we will surely ask for you. We will definitely go back to eat sushi here. We had a fenomenal time w the food and with our service.

Amazing

By kvigneed802 |

This place is awesome! My husband and I went here on our first night out in Miami, and if we end up in Miami again, we will go back. They had great happy hour specials with all of our favorite rolls, and some new ones that were so yummy. Their crunchy roll was to die for. Their drink specials were also nice, as well as the atmosphere. Parking to go here was pretty easy with a parking garage just up the road. The staff was nice and very attentive!

Perfect!

By moniquecasado |

Excelent service, delicious food! The hot filadelfia and temaki was amazing! The desert mini kone was incredible!

Good food, a bit pricey

By annadnl |

Service was OK, food as well. Nothing outstanding, and a bit pricey. It's just off the madness of ocean drive.

Interesting and good sushi and entertainment

By Jacob G |

First the sushi is good. We started with the Ceviche which is wonderful. And had the Crazy Kone, Crunchy Monster and Magma. All above average and great. There are several good sushi spots in SoBe, so the difference at Kone is the atmosphere and entertainment. There was a DJ working from an Apple Computer in the corner and video projected on the wall. Good easy music and nice touch. There is sitting outside, but being near the corner of Washington and 5th probably a little noisy. Inside atmosphere is nice for dining but maybe not for all people?

The Waitress Was the Best/ Katerina was Her Name

By Porsha L |

We ate here our first night. The area is fantastic and as soon as you turn down the street marked Espinola Way it feels like you are in another country; especially on Friday and Saturday night. This place was the first place we saw that had seafood/sushi which is why we stopped but there are plenty of options. Our waitress was amazing and gave great service. Her name was Katerina. She was friendly and smiled a lot and wet above and beyond to make us happy. considering that all tabs automatically pay an 18% gratuity everywhere in Miami, it was refreshing to meet a waitress that actually wanted to earn her automatic tip. She was fabulous and should get a raise.

Excellent sushi and service

By David N |

The sushi at this place is truly great. The service is also excellent, lively and observant waiters. I would really recommend the sushi cones, you eat it with your hands, so good. The price listed is for one cone, so they are pretty big. And save room for dessert, the tempura cheesecake is epic.

Best sushi ever

By kamillakrusek |

We went to this place and got the all you can eat sushi offer including their kones and 2 variants of chicken bites. Normally we eat a lot of good sushi, but was both blown away by this place's food and service. This place is amazing and I would recommend this to everyone :-)

Slow service, average sushi, skip it

By angelface52786 |

Not my favorite sushi place on the beach. The service is slow and the sushi is average. I've visited the place twice and on both occasions been disappointed. We were sitting at our table for over 10 minutes before anyone even came to our table. We brought our own wine ($25 cork fee) but had to pour our own wine all night. Skip it.

The best in town

The best in town Very good Japanese Restaurant, Try the protein roll Very good service Very good menu Good price No valet Very good localization Accept credit cards

Adapted to local tastes....but the cheap soy sauce was a real let down

By LeDude13 |

Having been to Japan a few times and eating some of the world's best sushi in TOK, NY or even BKK, I realize I am not the most 'easy' judge. You can slather on the mayo and spicy sauces....give the people what they want! No argument there. But when you serve soy sauce, I'd suggest taking it up a notch in terms of quality. I realize good soy sauce costs more....but I could taste it....Kone serves cheap soy sauce...and that's not cool. No matter what mayo is on the dishes, this remains an upper end establishment and while I am not demanding you go all the way to offering fresh ground wasabe, decent soy sauce is not an excessive ask. Other than that, focused staff and good quality rice.

Delicious in every way

By Thaura G |

Stopped there just arriving from a long fly. Staff is lovely, very friendly (Brazilians!). The sushi is amazing. Planning to go everyday!

Great food, great attention

By Car F |

Great attention, great food and good prices. It was recommended by Google maps and it was a fortunate one.

Good Quality Sushi, Excellent Lunch Options

By Juan Carlos F |

I came here for lunch recently and had a great experience. The bento box options are filling and affordable and the quality of the sushi is great. We even tasted their home sake, cold, and it was delicious. The presentation is also good and the service is excellent.

My favorite place in all miami florida

Fresh and delicious sushi rolls - great prices

By Tammy P |

Every dish we had was delicious. We started with the spicy edamame and it was excellent. We had numerous sushi rolls and none of them disappointed. We sat outside in the evening and it was very enjoyable. The prices were very reasonable as well. Would definitely go here again if ever in Miami again.

Loved it! We'll be back soon!

By IsabellaMiami1 |

We wanted to try this place for a while now, as we heard only good things. As we didn't know what to order, we picked the items pictured on the menu, and we were not disappointed. All choices were fresh and dishes presentations were clean and colorful. Desserts were great too. Our waitress, Vivian, was very nice and helpful. Overall one of our best experiences in Miami Beach, we'll be back soon.

Goog Japanese restaurant

By Romain S |

Enjoying the Kone sushi restaurant during our holidays, if you want eat japanese food, do not hesitate to spend time in this one.

Not good

By cs0600 |

Sushi is not as fresh as it should be. Service is slow. We had the all you can eat option which I think it is not an option in a good restaurant

Very pleased with our visit

By Sean M |

We got a Yelp! deal so we decided to try it out. We ordered gyozas, California rolls & edamame. We can tell you that the gyoza (pork and chicken) were delicious. We can't tell you about the edamame bc our server forgot about it & didn't bring it til after we were done with everything else. Not a big deal. We def enjoyed the food we did have. And the service was great (besides the fact that we didn't get one item). Our server was very pleasant & actually carried a conversation with us after our meal. They also had the Miami Heat game on while we were eating that was a plus. We would def visit this place again. Travel Tip: On Tuesdays they have ALL You Can Eat sushi. We were thinking of trying that as well.

The Best sushi in downtown

By Mykola G |

The monster trio and master ohata (I might misspell the name, sorry) are my favorites. Was there more than 10 times and sushi is always fresh.

Great sushi an wonderful service

By holzman |

I went twice this week. Their advertisement of sushi with a Brasilian twist is fair and accurate. I tried 5 different rolls and a few cones in my two visits. All were very fresh and extremely flavorful. Portions on the sushi are quite generous. The service was excellent and very accommodating. I asked for a few substitutions and they had no issue with any of these. I asked for extra ginger and they brought a lot. I have been to Brasil 20+ times and Japan a few as well. This was as good as any sushi I had in Brasil, or any I get in NY or other restaurants in South Beach at higher prices. I recommend Kone without hesitation and thank Vivi, my server for great service.

Was Hoping For Better

By SoBe_Fan |

Following my normal MO when traveling solo, I look for a sushi bar nearby. KONE was less than five (5) blocks and had reasonable ratings so make the quick walk and was there. Unlike most sushi restaurants, the sushi bar really isn't made for seating but I thought I'd give it a try regardless. They have it cluttered with the kind of stuff you quit noticing after you've seen it for too long. In all fairness, a table was offered but I refuse to sit a table solo... yes, that's not the restaurants fault. They don't offer any versions of my usual sushi-sashimi special so had to break out of my norm and ordered a tuna handroll (looks like a seaweed ice cream cone) and some other normal roll. I also ordered a salad and miso soup. Key word was "ordered" as it never arrived. The rolls arrived in only a few minutes but was looking forward to my miso oup and ginger salad. OK.. worse things in life. The food I did receive was outstanding. Service was acceptable. The price was typical South Beach. Would I go back again, yes.. but only after checking the 15 other sushi restaurants that I could have walked.

Great sushi

By Iowa81 |

Enjoyed our evening visit. Tried a variety of sushi rolls. Great service and they even made a special roll for us. Highly recommend! Very fresh sushi.

Disaster

By Andrew L |

We had Emilio for our waiter couldn't have been worse food was terrible but the guy actually autogratuited us for 20% on a table for 2 after failing to deliver our food and mixing up our orders. When he went back to get the food he missed he brought out the wrong food again! Paid with cash and he said they had no change or coins (keeping more tip $) worst service experience of my 40 year dining career.

Excellent

By katha_a27@hotmail.com |

Such a nice place!! the dishes are really tasty, very quiet and familiar place. The prices are very reasonable

Amazing!

By kelly_thai21 |

My boyfriend and I tried the crab salad and it was to die for! The flavors were mouth watering and so great we came back the next day for seconds! Our waiter was very nice and polite, I cant quite remember his name, he was always checking up on us to see if we needed anything else. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone whos having a sushi craving!

Excellent sushi & innovative.

By 68T-bone |

Excellent sushi & innovative. I enjoyed: seaweed salad, salmon belly nigiri, our protein roll & spicy crab roll ( my fact and up there with one of the best rolls I have ever had!). My only negative comment is about portions. The rolls were good size portions. However, the seaweed salad was very small (~5 bites) and the salmon belly was sliced too thin for the rice ratio. Other than that - fantastic!

Good food, terrible service

By Sam B |

Four of us went to Kone this afternoon. The food was very good. The service, however, may have been the worst I have ever received anywhere. The waiter, Emilio, botched several orders and rarely refilled our glasses. When it came time to pay, he included 20% gratuity. I consider myself a good tipper, and understand tables of eight, or even six during busy hours sometimes include gratuity. There were only 4 people at our table, and only 2 other tables seated while we were in the restaurant. In addition, they told one person at the table thy couldn't change $100, after another had just paid in 20s. They also told my other friend they didn't have coins when he asked for exact change. Over all, it was a horrible experience that lasted 30 minutes too long.

Downtown Sushi

By TheAli3n |

Went here with a friend for lunch. Sushi was fresh and tasty. My friend ordered a few different dishes that were specials and they were all very good. Always an experience to try slightly different dishes.

Very good fresh japanese food

By abigailj22 |

Nice place to enjoy very good sush in Miamii! And if you're hungry, go for the all you can eat option. Definitely coming back:)

Amazing Sushi spot in downtown

By Matej K |

Kone is just amazing. Food here is creative, delicious, fresh, and priced very reasonably. Definitely give this place a chance, when in downtown Miami. Their sushi cones are really fun way of eating "sushi" My new favorite sushi spot in Miami.

Middling

By echevlen |

The food was fairly standard fare for a Japanese/sushi restaurant: good, tasty, but not exceptional. The decor of the restaurant was nice, but music over speakers added to the natural noise of the diners. The wait staff was polite but not particularly attentive. By no means do I recommend NOT to go there. But I do not recommend going out of your way to go there.

Fresh, detailed & fantastic

By Sergio Bretel |

A great atmosphere, small but cozy, you receive very politely and the food is spectacular, the quality of its products, presentation and preparation along with the price are excellent

Lack of Hospitality

By WillIGoBack |

Tried to eat before a show on a slow Monday around 6pm. One table in restaurant plenty of staff a few guests at the bar. No menus no welcome we sit down no one brings menus someone says she'll be right there but goes to the other table in the restaurant and takes their order while we are sitting there no menus no drinks... Simple question. Why couldn't someone give us menus and why didn't you Come to our table first since we hadn't received any sort of acknowledgement... Yes we left and went some where else. No I won't go back. It really isn't that hard Miami to get it right

Good sushi, but...

By KSA |

The sushi was excellent, and very reasonably priced. But: the place has a long sake menu, and on the night I was there, they were out of all but three of the dozen or so sakes. And the ones that were left were pricey. I would go back for the sushi, but would hope that they stock up better!

It's good

By Dreaminglens |

I liked this restaurant! The food was good serves was fast and I would go back!

not authentic sushi

By sasli |

the one star is for creativity and easy menu to read. that's about it. we waltzed in after going to eat joe's stone crabs only to find out they were closed for renovation in the summer time so walked and stumbled upon this place. WHY? WHY WHY???? total regret on all 4 of us in the group. we ordered a bunch of things to try and i have got to say nothing impressed!! NOTHING. service was lacking for the LONGEST time, and there were just two tables--us and another.. that apparently walked out. we wanted to do the same but we decided its too rude. but boy did we feel stupid. the owner even had the nerve to come out and argue with us about the bill. hello, we are from NYC where they do not auto tax and auto tip on our bill. they said miami is an international city that does it to protect the waiters from tourists from europe but thats not my problem! your waitress didnt deserve the 20% tip so SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. nyc is an international city also you baboon! ridiculous food, serivce, attitude, and price! in nyc sushi is way better/fresher/abundant and cheaper. just stay away.

KONE 2.0! ONCE AGAIN, FABULOUS FOOD AND SERVICE!

By HotShotta |

My second visit to Kone was just as magnificent as the first! I love it! Dinner at Kone was one of the highlights of my visit to South Beach. I introduced a couple of friends to it. Even the picky eather liked it. Consider it a ritual. From now on, everytime I touch down in South Beach, Kone will be on the itinerary.

Great Sushi!

By JimJacksonSr |

Stopped there for lunch with friends and was not disappointed at all. The sushi there is amazing. Quiet atmosphere with good staff. Definitely looking forward to going there again the next time we're in Miami

Great Happy Hour Bites!

By kfitzeats |

I came here for their Happy Hour which I found to be phenomenal. Most places in the area and in Wynwood have happy hour bites but its always smaller portions of the death which isn't the case at Kone! I came on a rainy Friday and was surprised that there wasn't too many people there. My female server was very friendly and took the time to explain some of the drinks for me in which I ordered the Lychee sakerina $5 that was delicious and had real pieces of fruit on the bottom. For the bites I got a whole salmon roll $5 that was delicious and fresh! I loved that they sprinkled finely ground red pepper flakes all over it which gave it a nice kick----making it much better than your typical salmon roll. I also got two plates of their dumplings which were sooooooo tasty. Dumplings are underrated because most places don't cook them correctly. Each order of dumplings was $3 and came with 6 dumplings so I tried the pan fried chicken dumplings and steamed pork dumplings. I highly recommend both! Can't wait to come back here for another happy hour in which you could literally have a complete meal for a very affordable price! Definitely give it a try! PS they also have an all you can eat on Tuesdays and Saturdays for a set price that looks well worth the money! IG: KFitzEats

Yummy Sushi

By M K |

The service was a little snobby but they were attentive and timely. Our sushi was delicious and the lunch menu was a good deal.

OMG! I DIDN'T KNOW SUSHI WOULD OR COULD TASTE SO GOOD!

By HotShotta |

I had my first sushi experience at this place. I was a little apprehensive at first but Andre made me feel right at home. I explained to him that I had never tried sushi before and asked if he had any suggestions. I must say that he did not disappoint! I had the Love Park which was a tempura. It was the most delectable piece of food that I have ever tasted! In fact, it was so good that I went back on the last day of my vacation to have it again! Thank you so much Andre! Carol was the best waitress/hostess and overly accommodating when I went back for a second time! Hats off to Melvin! You can make sushi for me anytime! I would also like to thank Eder and Lucas for helping to create such a warm and friendly environment! You guys rock! And so does Brazilian sushi! I will definitely be back!

Simply Delish!

By FloribelM |

Boy am I glad I checked out Kone! This place is simply delicious! Our server's recommendations (and service overall) were spot-on. Everything was A+... we started with the truffle oil & sea salt Carpaccio (a must-have) and the ceviche sampler (the Kone ceviche was my fave, with the Hawaiian a close second). I personally am not a fan of temakis in general, but my fiancée adored his crunchy hand roll. He also liked the two specialty house drinks he ordered. We also ordered the M.O.M. sushi roll, which I'll surely order again. Last but not least, I would have never guessed that anything could dethrone tiramisu as my all-time favorite dessert but, alas! The Carol Kone is a vanilla crispy cone filled with Nutella and strawberries. I mean, really?! All this at very decent prices. This place will become a regular for us, especially since they do take-out and delivery.

Delicioso Sushi!

By Alvaro G |

This small but tasteful decorated Japanese restaurant with an interesting and unique influenced Brazilian menu, is a great place to savour a great variety of asian dishes from the typical miso soup, temakishand rolls, sashimi, fried rice, salads, ceviche to gyozas and more. Like they said there is a little bit of everything for everybody. They serve delightful variations with the "shakerinhas", mixed cocktails with sake and fruit. Service was pronto and aisonoyoidessu. This is an establishment with good food, excellent atmosphere to enjoy, free of hassles, lunch in a sunny and pleasant day in Miami Downtown.

Good service and atmosphere but average sushi

By Nancy K |

We had a couple of rolls here and a couple of rolls at Zuma. The sushi at Zuma was well worth a couple of extra bucks we paid for it. If you want a more casual place, this would be it, Zuma has a dress code.

Great service, Great food!!!!!!

By alicia6532 |

I was visiting South Beach for a much needed winter break. I purchased a Groupon for Kone and decided to visit on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy. I was greeted warmly by hostess/server. After some searching I decided to order the Raw Shrimp appetizer? But my meal was cooked shrimp with a crust. It was beautiful and delicious!!!!! Next, I decided to try the So Be sushi. The presentation was so lovely, that I almost didn't want to eat the meal. The food was soooo fresh tasting!!!! I'm from the Washington DC area, so I know how fresh seafood tastes. I didn't have issues like some reviews stated, If you haven't tried this place Go! You won't be disappointed!!!!!

Yummy

By WeirdNJ |

Really good sushi and big rolls! My husband and i stopped here while in Miami after reading the good reviews. Their sushi is wonderful and they have a lot of different types of rolls. Try the rock shrimp appetizer and the shaggy dog roll. The moon over Miami roll was excellent as well. When the bill came it had an extra $4.00 on it for edamame that we didn't order. I pointed it out and they took it off the bill. Not sure if it was an honest mistake or if they thought they could get away with it. Just watch your bill. Someone else in another review mentioned that they put the gratuity automatically on the bill - every restaurant in Miami does that, so don't be surprised.

A-Ok!

By bichromatic |

Is it Japanese? Brazilian? I don't know, but I am going to drink this Lychee Sakirinha and enjoy the experience. No matter what country it may be from, a drink is a good one when it is made with real Lychee, Sake and Sugar, and in this Miami heat is quite refreshing. I have drove past this restaurant a million times (being that it is right off 5th) but never had any interest to dine here. Not sure why I ended up here, but in any case I did, and although they describe themselves as sushi with a Brazilian twist, let's be honest, it is your pretty standard sushi options. Case in point, the Magma Roll (Salmon, Chili Sauce & Powder, Scallions topped with Tuna and Spicy Mayo). Then there was the Protein Roll. Their version fell completely flat. It was in dire need of something more and looked so sad on the plate. Of course, I cannot remember the name of my favorite of the night, but I did like the adventurous taste and unique quality. While Kone offers an calming, sleek and intimate atmosphere for dining, service was unremarkable and it is a bit pricey (for what you are getting), but then again that's Miami for you!

Great meal!

By Angie K |

Staff was friendly and attentive. Four of us for dinner on a Saturday night. We tried several of their specialty kones and several sushi rolls. Very good and reasonably priced.

LOVED IT

By K T |

This place was awesome. We were checking out the menu and the owner offered us free mojitos, so we stayed. I ordered the salmon fettucine and it was excellent. All the food our table ordered looked amazing and was very tasty. Would definitely make a point of going back there if in the area.

Not bad but...

It's certainly not bad, the quality of the fish is okay, and they do have some interesting rolls and other dishes. But I do have to say, even understanding that it's a fusion sushi place, some of the entree flavors are a bit strange. Prices aren't too bad though, however, I do have to say the service wasn't too great. Our waitress seemed unhappy, and unfortunately kept messing up our order, so she had to come back several times to fix it. However, I'm sure I'd have a better experience next time, so maybe I'll come back again.

Great food and friendly staff

We spent an evening with the kids at Kone. The food was delicious and fresh. The selection is really good you can choose between Sushi, Sashimi and a lot of other dishes. The Ceviche was great so was the Miso soup. Overall great place !!

Decent food at reasonable price but waiter with poor manners

By GarryDesAmours |

We were craving for some Sushi last week. As usual, my wife relied on me to pick a good place for our date night. After some reliable research, I selected Kone Sushi in the downtown area of Miami. Overall, it might be a decent place for lunch or for takeout but not for formal dinner. We had the crunchy monster, rock shrimp, spicy Edaname and a miso soup to start. Subsequently, we ordered the Unagi special along with the Sashimi platter. For the 1st time EVER, we were insulted by the waiter (Ivan) who bluntly told us: “Oh boy, you were hungry”. Later on, we tried to be politically correct by telling him that it not appropriate to make a such statement. As if he didn’t get it, he repeated the same stupid words again. He didn’t see anything abnormal with his statement. That waiter needs some serious training. This is the 1st time I write a bad review about a waiter because we were really offended. With a poor ventilation system and unprofessional staff, I quickly realized why the restaurant was virtually empty on a Friday evening why the Italian restaurant just a few doors down was packed. Would we go back? May be for a quick lunch but definitely not for dinner.

Very Good

The menu is great. The food is delicious. It's located downtown, but there's a parking garage across the street. The tables are on top of each other and as a result it's so noisy, you can't have a conversation. We sat outside because the Miami traffic and honking was literally quieter. The service is outstanding. Modern cuisine with a killer dessert menu.

Pleasant Treat in South Beach

Sushi was fresh and excellent. Not your typical sushi place, as it had a lot of unique options. Price was very reasonable, especially being in SoBe. And staff was friendly and happy to be there!

Great sushi, friendly service

We had the king of sobe, love park and spicey edamame. Everything was wonderful. Our server Luana was great and very helpful. Will come back.

Good Sushi Even Better Service

By Chris W |

The sushi there was very good. I wouldn’t say anything better or worse than many other restaurants you could visit. The presentation was good. What sets this place above the rest is the service. We came in on a Thursday and saw that they have an “all you can eat special” available only Mondays and Tuesdays. The server said he would give us the deal even though they weren’t running it that day. The people there are incredible, and the food is good so I’ll be back!

Wow....great sushi

Our server was very good. We sat outside and enjoyed the sights. Had a few different rolls and they were amazing. I've had great sushi and average and I would put kone close to great. Pretty affordable too compared to the other restaurants in the area.

Best Sushi in Miami!!!

By Biba_Rio |

This authentic sushi place makes me feel closer to home. I'm completely addict to it. They have an amazing fresh variety of fish, and everything tastes delicious. I find very hard to find a clean, authentic sushi restaurant in the US that has a reasonable price. Kone does it!!! I'm in love with this place.

Very good food and attendant

Nice little place in Miami downtown, next to Bayside market, with good choice of fresh japanese food. Service and prices are very reasonable, and don't forget about hot sake - enjoy!

It was our first night in Miami and we really wanted to eat sushi. We found this place and it looked really nice. We had the all you can eat sushi menu and the sushi was amazing. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. Also we had some awesome dessert. It was a really good start of our trip!

Good quality sushi

This restaurant is really good, one of the best sushis I've tried in Miami beach and I've tried several places so far. Our server was very nice and friendly. I really like the drinks, very nice presentation. However, be prepared to spend a lot of money, there is $10 tip already included in the check which I find too much. But my overall experience was good.

Excellent food - attentive and friendly waitress

The sushi is fantastic and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located on Espanola Way. Makes you feel like you are in Spain

Fantastic quality for a great price

Initially, me and my date stumbled upon this place because we were interested in going to some other bars in the area but we were craving sushi. So this was a pleasant treat. First off, we order a bottle of champagne and the waitress immediately suggested a different bottle for us that was on special and saved us money right off the bat. Food wise, we got the ceviche spoons and it was a huge portion with octopus, tuna, and white fish. Delicious. For dinner, I got a crunchy tuna roll that was delicious and fair priced. My date got a kone sushi roll that was filled with Alaskan king crab as well as a few other things. Both items were fantastic. Overall, great place and great service. We will be back

NOT GOOD! TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED...

By Vinícius A |

NOT GOOD!!!! Poor service... but worst of all very limited options, food took a long time to come out, and drinks were south beach price for no atmosphere!!! $7 for a beer? That's what I pay in Manhattan Disappointed with the outcome: 20% tip included and extra 20% suggestion to fool people around... That's shameful PAY ATTENTION SO YOU DON'T OVER TIP!!! And think twice before paying this people a visit...

Great little place!

We were craving Japanese but didn't want the formality or glamour of Zuma so we searched for a Japanese restaurant in the vicinity of our hotel (on Biscayne) and came across Kone. Sushi. We were a little doubtful of what we would find in terms of quality and service, but boy oh boy was this place a great little find! The food was very good (we had some maki rolls and sashimi, plus some other great little starters), and the service was even better. Very good value for money as well. The servers went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of! Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes, yes, yes!!!

My favorite sushi in Miami

By PriscilaWilhelms |

I simply love this restaurant! Friendly staff, and amazing sushi! The fish is always fresh and everything is very well made. I love the temakis!! They also have an "all you can eat" option, which is great for the price! When I'm at the Downtown area, that's the place that I like to go to.

Worst restaurant in Miami!

By Jeronimo G |

I made an order 2 hours ago and the food didn’t come. They never called back to let us know and they charged for the food, when I called them the woman was very rude and didn’t offer a solution, I will never order from there ever again!

Excellent Brazilian-influenced sushi

Loved very bite - Shaggy Dog and Crunchy Monster rolls were delectable. Came in at 10:00p and place was full but wait staff was attentive and food was fast. Would recommend this to anyone who is staying in downtown Miami.
