Wife and I visit fairly frequently. Tasty gyro's and a nice salad to boot. Usually a little on the warm side but it's tolerable. Canned drinks but they do include some not so common flavors and brands.

This little hole in the wall is in a shopping center next to a Mexican restaurant. The decor needs updating, but the food was good. I had the gyro special with the salad and tea. Also ordered hummus which comes with soft, warm pita. Had an order of the dolmas which is stuffed grape leaves. It comes out on foam plates and plastic silverware. If you like Greek food, you should like this place. No table service ... you order at the counter, get your own drink, and seat yourself. They bring your food to the table. It's one step up from "fast food" - it was hot and tasty though!

--If you are craving some gyros, this is the place to go. It is not fancy, but the gyros and salads were delicious. We also ordered pita bread with hummus, which was also flavourful. Also, the staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. --The restaurant is at the corner of Leonhardt and Nacogdoches tucked in the corner of the small shopping center. If you are driving around, you will miss it because there is no sign close to the street. However, I found it via Google maps when we were craving for some gyros. One thing they may consider doing is some updating of the inside and maybe putting some simple signage closer to the street. Gyros were awesome.

To echo and paraphrase lorrie221. Don't judge a book by its cover. The place is not fancy, however you will get good food (better than the more well know places in town in my opinion) and better prices!! The service is always good. I usually have a special request that the accommodate : -). Check it out.

It was kind of iffy walking up to the door of this restaurant, but once you walk in it's better. It's like a Greek cafe. You walk up to the counter to place your order and they bring the food to you when it's ready. The food is served on Styrofoam plates, which was kind of disappointing to me, but the food was delicious! The people working here were very nice and friendly, too!! The pitas are amazing - so soft!!! There's a little bit of heat to the hummus and sausage, but bearable. Restaurant is nice and clean.

Love this place! We come here for dinner every once in awhile. It's about a 30 mile drive now but still go! They have the best gyro's and my favorite gyro salad. The new owners have kept everything the same and very nice people.

Kostas is really solid Greek cuisine, but I think the location and the environment are really the biggest drawbacks here. I've been once, and I wouldn't say no to going back, but I probably wouldn't go on my own simply because it wasn't unique or memorable enough to warrant picking it over any of the other options in the area. The lunch specials seemed to be a great value, and even at dinner, the prices aren't bad, but I would rather go a little further to the Forum and have Papouli's for a similar price, and a better experience. It's tucked in a corner in an already removed from the street, and fairly old, shopping center, which really just creates the impression of a sad, underwhelming place - which is only furthered by the basic interiors that are basically two posters of Greece away from being the same store they got when they moved in. Once again, the food is fine quality, but...not an exceptional place.

Stopped in because we saw the sign. Awesome staff and great food. A hidden gem. Look forward to trying out more items on th menu

Love this place! We are winter Texans and our son bowls down the street so we stop here before to eat. The gyros are great. Love the salad and the fries.

Plin Jane store w/solid Greek dishes.

Good Greek salad and Gyro, with drink, $6 at lunch. Great fries.

Great family run restaurant! Owners were very personable. We had a original gyros meat and a chicken gyros. Both were very good. The American Greek salad looked great and tasted even better. We will be back. Give this place a try!

Gyro sandwich and a Greek salad with drink for $ 6.00. It is good food served on paper plates. REALLY good homemade Greek salad dressing. I stop every time I'm in the area.

I had the gyro with crinkle cut fries. Probably one of the best gyros I’ve had in a long time, i wish I had ordered two. My wife had the Greek salad with hummus and pita. The service was excellent and friendly. If you can overlook the less than savory neighborhood this a gem that shouldn’t be missed.
Never disappointed. Good food at a good price.
We have eaten at Kosta's many times over the past several years, both for lunch and dinner. The plates, as other reviewers have noted, are very modestly priced, especially if you get the lunch special. Yes, they are paper plates, but who cares? The dinner prices are exceptionally good and will not break the bank. We especially love the Greek Salad Dressing and the Tzatziki Sauce. I wish they would bottle the dressing. The pita is good and gyro meat is flavorful. It is family owned; they are hard working and very kind. Service is quick. This is not a "white table cloth, puttin' on the Ritz" kind of place, but just a casual atmosphere, serving good food, at a very modest price.
