Airport eating can be a challenge, poor food and eye watering prices are the norm. However I was to be pleasantly surprised by Ku-Va. I tried breakfast there and 5he omelet Español was quite reasonable. Cappuccino was hot and the toast well browned. The price came under $20 for a substantial breakfast. Upside, edible food and efficient service at a price 5hat was OK. Downside, can’t really think of one

We had lunch here during a layover on our way to St. Martin. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. The food was great and priced just right. I especially recommend the roast pork and the mango mojitos.

Visited this restaurant for lunch and the food was quite good. I had the yellow rice and chicken with plantains which were so delicious. Service was prompt and the waiters were attentive. Overall one of the options for food at Miami airport.

The food here was AMAZING!! I think I overate! 😂 sadly they have no deserts :( it was NOT expensive!! I recommend it! Again it tastes so good!

Thus was a great surprise. Great Cuban food and really Friday atmosphere. The Flan was excellent. Wonderful Ceviche. Hope to come back.

Very nice to see a restaurant in a airport what delivers such wonderful classy and professional service. The whole crew worked nicely together. Many thanks to our excellent server Emilio. Ps .the food was olso outstanding.

I highly recommend this place best food, service, nice music I definitely 😍 don’t miss this place in your next trip .

This is located in MIA airport and offers Cuban themed menu. Bloody Mary's were excellent and you get a a Bloody Mary cart to add your own condiments. We had breakfast there which I wanted to be in a quiet area after a hectic morning and this plAce fit the bill nicely. Friendly staff and good food (breakfast).

I was looking for a different place (I always go to (Versalles, la carreta) to have breakfast between flights I wanted a nice place, it was my birthday and we wanted to celebrate I did my research and thought this place would do We order toasted bread and it came burn and cold, the eggs were watery, everything we order was extremely disappointing the only thing I enjoy was the mimosa The place is pricey, we paid over $140 for a breakfast for 4! I didn’t mind paying when the food is good but this place was awful The only thing I like was the pictures on the wall

Stopped here for the first time on my way home MIA-DFW for a quick bite while I waited to depart. It was perfect and very yummy. I had a Guava/Cheese pastry, a ham/cheese croquet, and a cappuccino. Cappuccino was so-so but, overall, everything was excellent. Will definitely eat here again.

Tried the yellow rice with white fish - both too dry. Ordered the chopped salad to go, they forgot to include dressing (my bad, forgot to check.) Café Versailles is way better choice.

I can’t even give this a 1, we went in for breakfast. There were four of us. We all had a small Bloody Mary and two small breakfast and it total 147.00 dollars . The bloody Mary’s weren’t even good they were frozen and deep fried. They even gave themselves a 17 dollar tip. They definitely need to be investigated cause they are a total rip off.

Had breakfast here before a morning flight. Basic eggs, toast and hashbrowns. You would think that's easy enough, but somehow people still screw it up. Here the eggs were cooked perfectly and hashbrowns hot and crispy. My wife and I both thought it was as good as could be expected and we would return if in the airport again. We got our food quickly, but the only downside was we waited a long time for our check, as our waiter disappeared for a while. Not sure if that's the standard, but could be problematic if trying to make a connection.

Sat down at the (not busy) bar with forty five minutes before boarding and promptly ordered two fish dishes. Fifteen minutes after ordering our food, the bartender was nice enough to check on the status of our food with the kitchen and told us it would be three more minutes. Fifteen minutes later, still nothing. She then disappeared into the kitchen for five minutes while we at that point tried to get anyone to just give us our check so we could board our flight. Our food never came out. The bartender wasn’t the issue, but an airport restaurant should be able to turn out a meal in under 45 minutes or at least warn patrons that the kitchen takes 45+ minutes. If they’d been honest with us that it wasn’t going to be “three more minutes” we could have left and gotten something else. Instead we boarded our flight hungry and unhappy. Very very poor kitchen management and didn’t appreciate being lied to about the length of time remaining to serve our meal.

I ate breakfast here. The portion was large and cooked to order. The waiters are very friendly and attentive.

Ku-Va is my go-to restaurant when in the Miami International Airport. Consistent quality food (fried whole snapper), spacious environment and friendly service, it is an oasis away from the frenetic madness! I always leave the lounge for a taste of Ku-Va!

I love a good Cuban sandwich but do not get them near home in Kansas City. When in Miami, I try. At airport waiting for flight. The Cuban Sandwich at Ku-Va was very good. Ample roast pork on ham and cheese. They used a grill press (authentic) to toast bread and get the whole sandwich melted together. Tuna fish salad sandwich was soggy. Just tuna and onion with not much mayo. Beef patty pastry sandwich was tasty. Enjoy!

I occasionally have empanadas there and they are good to take away. So options for eat in and take away. Good value

I only have one word for the breakfast....nasty! The eggs are likely some type of premix. They were pasty and obviously powered or reconstituted. The toast wasn’t toasted and my fork was dirty. The single worst breakfast Ive ever had.

I had buttermilk pancakes with apple juice to drink. They were delicious. Hubby had French toast with eggs and bacon. He had orange juice to drink. He said it was very good as well. Very clean and staff was nice. Service was quick.

While waiting on a flight connection at Miami International Airport, I happened across a little Cuban Restaurant, Ku-Va. In all the travels I have made, I have never been to a better airport restaurant. Food was excellent, ambiance wonderful, and the people nice and understanding of time limitations. Truly a five star restaurant in a most unexpected location. Thank you, Ku-Va.

I wanted some Cuban food, and I was afraid of what I might get in an airport. I was pleasantly surprised. The pork was delicious, as were the black beans and plantains. The tres leches cake was worth saving room for.

Avoid the Cuban sandwich - in a word it sucks! Poor attention to detail - dry pork, no mustard and like one pickle on the entire sandwich. Also, when served, it was about 1000 degrees - I think they microwaved it! GO Somewhere else!

At the fast food counter, we enjoyed the chicken and the spinach empanadas along with their Cuban coffee (85 cents). We ate them on the plane.

I would caution travelers on a tight connection to look elsewhere. We waited almost 25 minutes between when we were seated and when the waiter first approached the table. Our breakfasts were decent enough and the waiter was friendly.

Attentive service and really good food. We loved the option to either get take away or eat in a restaurant with full service. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Restaurant has tables spaced out, hand sanitizer and was very clean.

Considering this is at the Miami airport, the prices are excellent and and food was great!! Has a separate bar area if you want a drink. The service was very pleasant.

Admittedly, this is limited to their pastries. I *ALWAYS* stop here to gram yummy food for layovers or my next hop of the trip. I am particularly a HUGE fan of their empanadas. Both meat & chicken are *OUTSTANDING* I've had other pastries as well, but it's the empanadas that bring me back. I'm on the west coast & I always appreciate this treat when passing through.

An unexpected surprise at an airport. Who knew you could get a killer lechon asado with fantastic mojo at MIA. I swear it was better than lots of Cuban restaurants in the city proper. Will make it a routine stop every time I transit through MIA.

The dishes seemed quite authentic Cuban fare (based upon Cuban restaurants I have visited elsewhere - although I have never personally been to Cuba). We tried the Yuquitas Del Valle (Casava root fries) with "homemade cilantro dip". Quite delicious! For a main dish I ordered the Lechon De La Sierra (Roast Pork) it was grilled with "tropical herbs, onions, & mojo sauce" and served with tasty black beans, white rice, & plantains. My husband ordered the Mahi-Mahi after quite a wait, he was told that they were "out" & salmon was suggested. His dish was fine - tasty; however, nothing special The food was definitely tasty. However, the drinks (Mojitos) were overpriced & watered down and service was quite slow. As we had arrived excessively early, it was not an issue. However, I caution that if you have a plane to catch timing could be an issue. Possibly, the situation was atypical as there was a large party (over a dozen) that arrived shortly after us and the large party was served by same waiter as us.

A nice surprise while waiting for our LAX flight. As usual asked for a recommendation and I wasn’t disappointed with the #5 chicken, ham covered on cheese with tasty rice and black beans. Plantains were good too. Good wine $11 glass. Ready to board and take nap.

I can count on one finger the excellent airport restaurants in which I have eaten--Ku-Va is it. If you are going through MIA, try to schedule enough time for a sit-down lunch or dinner that you will not regret if you are a Cuban food fan. We visited in early afternoon for a late lunch and received excellent and timely service. After tasting my great meal (and samples from the other meals ordered by our party), I verified they have a full kitchen and cook all food on site--a fact that was strongly suggested by the food quality in everything I tasted. The prices are higher than fast food, but LESS than I would expect to pay outside an airport for a meal of the same quality. In short, do NOT forget to visit Ku-Va the next time you travel via MIA!

Great place for a quick experience at Miami International Airport tasty meal. Shrimp with some delicious garlic sauce.

I eat here all the time.... try the Lechon Pork.... it is absolutely the best. It comes with black beans and rice and plantains.

I like to avoid chains and support local restaurants when traveling so I decided to try this funky looking restaurant in the airport. I ordered Ropa Vieja, which the menu said was cooked in a creole sauce, but it was really bland. I asked if they had some sauce that might give it a little flavor and they offered me Tabasco. I said how about some chimichurri sauce as I had seen that on some of the dishes. It was also tasteless. Very disappointing. At least the beer was good.

This place is delicious! Best airport food I have ever had. Truly made well, quality food. Our server, Stephanie, was a gem! Great service!!

We're at Miami airport and we're surviving a 5 hour flight delay that was made more tolerable by the decent food, friendly service and much needed wine.

We had cheese tequeños and guava cheese tequeños. The service was excellent and quick to run to the plane. Good coffree too! We had a parfait that was good too!

I wanted to grab a empanada and this was close to my gate a and the line at my favorite spot was too long and I was pressed for time. It was OK, not as good as where I usually go at MIA.

We were at MIA airport on a 4-hour layover last Dec 24 and saw that Ku-Va restaurant was open so decided to give it a try. We were amazed at the quality of service and the excellent food we had. This did not at all feel like any ordinary airport food joint, which was exactly what we wanted for a Christmas Eve dinner. We had the ceviche appetizer which was very fresh and lovely. My husband ordered the lechon and I ordered the special that evening, oxtail stew. Both dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. We highly, highly recommend!!!

At MIA b/f flight and stopped for a bite. Highly recommend the Ku Va Ceviche: swordfish bites cooked in lemon juice w/chopped cilantro and diced red onion. Accompanied with plantain chips. Dipping sauces include aged cayenne pepper hot sauce and garlic-infused virgin olive oil. Our mixologist/server Edwin made it a great experience.

The best place yo take time in the Miami AirPort. Os a beatifull place, has a best rice and Orange juice.

My mate ordered the Cuban sandwich which was highly recommend and we see why. Ceviche is what I ordered it was full of favor however I wasn't too fond of the cold fishyness. Pretty great for our first Cuban food venture, we'll eat there again.

Ku-Va is a nice breath of fresh air in Miami Airport food options. A lively and fun atmosphere near Gate D19. The Cuban sandwich with plantains and the chicken empanadas are very good with lots of good flavors. Just a warning the the portions are good sized and filling. What really makes Ku-Va stand out is great staff, particularly Joel.

We had a very long layover and decided to eat here, since they were less crowded. No shock why they were less crowded once we got in. Service was very slow, and we saw our waiter, Jorge, fighting with a pilot over the cost of his meal. Jorge was very unprofessional. My hamburger was raw, and my husbands Cuban was not pressed at all - the cheese was not even melted.

I ordered the flank steak with ride and beans. Simply delicious.the staff was friendly and made good recommendations, steered me away from some things and recommending others based on my preferences.

If you have some time and room in your stomach at the Miami Airport, go to this restaurant. We are not Cuban and we're not from Miami but Cuban food is one of our favorite cuisines, so we have had it often. We had low expectations but had an hour to kill and needed something to eat so we stopped in this restaurant mid-afternoon. The food was fantastic and the service was very attentive and friendly.

i don't typically review restaurants in airports, but my experience here was so bad i had to share. The service was the absolute worst i have ever ever had. we sat for about 1/2 an hour before we were evened offered beverages. i asked for water and coffee. about another 20 minutes later the coffee arrived; i asked for water again. mind you, this ENTIRE time our server was just standing around. Literally, he was doing nothing. finally, about another 10 minutes passed so i went to the counter and asked someone else for water. she acted like i asked her to disrobe and dance. she rudely gave me a glass of water, which was never again refilled. i was about to walk out the door when the server finally came to take our order - this was seriously about 40 minutes after we arrived. i found it notable that two other tables who arrived after us had already received their food. i sort of complained to the hostess who was completely unapologetic and even seemed annoyed that i would complain. when our food finally arrived it was really just awful. i couldn't believe how awful it was - the bread was stale, the eggs were runny (even though i asked for them well done) and the potatoes were almost literally floating in pseudo-butter, not even real butter. i expect to pay extra for food in an airport, but given the poor quality - not to mention AWFUL AWFUL service - i think being mugged would have been a more satisfying experience.

It's not worth a return. One star for cleanliness and one for friendly service, but that is where it ends. Warning! Like another reviewer mentioned, they will tear your head off on alcohol drinks. Wife ordered vodka and tonic....23.00! Food was blah. I had the Chicken con Arroz, and my wife had the Picadillo something with ground beef. My chicken looked like and tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for hours to the point it was chalky and no flavor. Could not finish. My wife's beef was granular and had no flavor (school cafeteria quality). Soft drinks are canned so that shuts down asking for a refill. NOTE: They tag on an 18% tip whether it is good or not. Luckily, ours was okay. This was our last meal on an 8 day vacation, and by far, was the worst and yes... the most expensive. Go to La Carreta. It's our go-to for Cuban food but was too far from the gate this trip.

First of all, no pricing on most of the drinks, there is a reason why, they are insanely expensive. We had a Bulldog margarita and a mojito, we spent $78! WTF? The drink was large and impressive but seriously, we ate at Le Tub and spent less for lunch and drinks. I won't be back as the value is poor for the money. No issues with service and we didn't eat. I would think I would have at least had a buzz walking out of there, nope! LOL! "You can buy better, but you can't pay more" should be their motto.

We stopped for breakfast and wanted something fast, we picked 2 American breakfast and the waiter asked y we wanted it with ham, bacon or sausage we said ham (as if it was part of the breakfast), he never mentioned it was additional, I asked for a glass of water he brought a bottle of the most expensive water, we ended up paying for a simple breakfast the price of a regular lunch, and it was simple eggs and bread, very disappointed

My wife and I had some time to kill before our flight and we went to the Ku-Va Cuban restaurant in the airport. I don't think they really wanted us seated just for drinks but it was not crowded so they did seat us. We have drinks and desert and the one thing I noticed was they did not try to rush us out. We live in Europe most of the time and they don't rush you there......in America they seem to want you out right away.....don't even ask if you want desert.......but the Ku-Va was not that way......maybe because it is Cuban? Very nice place with very nice friendly service......great chocolate cake and Flan. Would recommend.

My boyfriend and I came in 1.5 hrs before our flight, just wanting a drink or two. The bartender came and took our order, didn’t offer us water (tap or bottled) and never came back to ask if we wanted to pay or get another drink. 30 mins go by and my boy friend and I both ask the bartender if we could order and he takes another 10 mins. Mind you, there are 3 people sitting at the bar at this time! It’s not busy at all, at the bar or on the floor. He’s literally pacing the first half of the bar while we’re sitting on far end. We paid and left and yes, on the receipt, I wrote, “I bartend too, I get it but dude, 30 mins without any check-ins is insane”. A couple mins later the bartender somehow finds me and charges up behind me AT MY GATE, after I’ve already left the bar, telling me I don’t need to write anything on his receipts. He then proceeds to rip up the receipt IN MY FACE. The service and professionalism at Ku Va is absurd and after speaking the manager about how concerning his bartender STALKING me to my gate was, it’s clear they don’t care about basic service since 18% gratuity is already included.

At $9 for a bowl of oatmeal or a fruit plate, the price is high even for an airport restaurant. How about $4 for a cup of terrible coffee flavored water? To be fair, the oatmeal was good even if not accompanied by anything. And service was good and friendly.

The waiter was pleasant, the atmosphere overlooking the airport. The food was beautifully presented and quite tasty. However, know what you are ordering so there are no surprises. Accents can lead to miscommunications. In my case, I thought I was ordering a skirt steak with rice and plantains. All of this happened, but there were unexpected eggs on top, which the waiter must have recommended and I missed and apparently nodded to. Those two eggs were an extra $3.95. Just be aware when dining in Miami that there are a lot of strong accents, which can lead to interesting outcomes. Very good overall, though.

When you travel sometimes you have hours to wait until your journey continues to its next destination. It is surprising that with how large Miami International Airport is that the food selection in my opinion is below par. That was until I finally tried Ku-Va in MIA North Terminal, Concourse D area. I had Beef Empanadas and Grilled chicken breast marinated with garlic, pepper and tropical juices. Served with rice, black beans & sweet plantains. They won’t win any awards, but I will tell you it is probably the best dining choice in MIA.

the lyft driver recommended i try this and i am glad i did. located in terminal d it is strategic to the gates. there were so many pork choices i needed help from the server to decide.

Stopped in for Cuban sandwich and a drink on a extended layover at MIA. Food was average and drink prices for a double vodka soda was outrageous. 24.00 dollars....never again.👎

Completely unexpected how delicious this place was. I was caught off guard by the quality. The service was fantastic as well.

Surprisingly decent meal for the airport. Delicious Cuban sandwich and amazing fries. Not gourmet, but good.

One of my favourites in Miami International Airport whist waiting for island planes, such as Jamaica. Great fresh Cuban cuisine and amazing Cuban coffee. Clean, great service and good prices for an airport lounge, Staff are great too !

As a pilot I frequent Ku-Va more than any other place in the D Terminal. They have an employee menu as well. The staff is always super pleasant and your food comes out quick. I usually get the slow cooked pork. Make sure to ask for some mojo (garlic and oil) yo put on it as well. Ku-Va will be getting plenty of my business for years to come. So if you are near Gate D20 swing on in, or if not and have the time, go and enjoy some great Cuban food.

Food, service and atmosphere were all great. What ruined it for me was the 18% tip that was automatically added to my bill for a solo diner. I should have to right to tip as I see fit. Who are they to tell me I MUST tip 18%? This was not made obvious on the menu while ordering. Shame on you!

Nice little spot to have lunch or a snack. Reasonable prices. Enjoyed the chicken soup and chicken wings with some mixed rice.

Excellent service from what is clearly an experienced server. I had the roasted pork dinner. Wife had the chicken soup. Both were exceptional. Atmosphere is awesome too. If you haven't been to terminal D at MIA recently you are in for very pleasant surprise!

We frequent KU-VA when flying out of MIA back to BOS when on AA. The Cuban food is always very good here and the service is as well. This time, 6/22/16, we had Beef Empanadas, Vaca Frita,Masitas de Puerco,Fried Sweet Plantains,Moro Rice. YUMMO! A great place to get that last taste of Cuba! BUEN PROVECHO! Hasta la Proxima! :)

This place might be one of the better places to have a meal in the Miami airport, but I'd never eat here otherwise. My mahi-mahi was bland, the room temperature mashed potatoes were salty, and the "vegetables" side was a bland mix of overcooked steamed carrots and broccoli that was literally pooled in water.

I had a roast pork sandwich. It was good. A little dry. The service is great. Friendly and fast. The meat in my sandwich was hot when served. So beware. I had the Pan con Lechon sandwich. If you have time, go here.

When I’m at the American Airlines terminal in Miami, I normally eat at La Carreta. However, a few times I have gone into Ku-Va & I’m always disappointed. Sometimes you just want something different though. This place is always less crowded than La Carreta -and for good reason! I had breakfast yesterday & for 2 eggs with a side of bacon & a coffee the price was $15. I can get the exact same meal at La Carreta for $7. Also, there was a 15% tip automatically added onto my bill at Ku-Va. Then, when my credit card receipt came back for me to sign, there was another line for me to add the tip again. So, I don’t think their business practices here at Ku Va are honest. Doubt seriously that I’ll ever return here again! .

A nice sit down restaurant in the airport with friendly staff and tasty Cuban food. I ordered the " I love Lucy" arroz con pollo. Service great and fast.

We spent about two hours and a half waiting for a flight connection. A special mention for the service. A very nice people works there and every suggestion made by the waiter was an excellent opportunity to try something new and different to the average airport food. We start with a mango mojito and a traditional mojito. Both were refreshing and good enough. As appetizer, the waiter suggested us the fried "Yuquitas del Valle" (Cassava Root Fries) accompanied with a really delicious dip. Very recommended. After that, a Paella was the main entree. Good enough food for two people, when you are not very hungry. And finally, a caipirinha coctail, which I also recommend to try. Very nice place, with a three different spaces, a dining saloon, a bar and a bakery.

We had some extra time at the Miami airport and decided to have a sit-down meal. We found Ku-Va near our gate and tried it out. We had to find our own way in as the hostess was not at the front and a waiter directed us to a table. (I saw numerous people leave after not finding anyone at the front entrance.) The menu has a wide selection of Cuban dishes and what we had was very good. I asked for water to drink and was brought a small bottle of water when I was expecting tap water. I didn't question it but was shocked when that bottle was $4 on the bill. I should have sent it back when it was brought.

If you don't have a ton of time, skip this place. Everything was slow, hostess took forever to seat us, many unclean tables, even slower service, only a quarter of the tables occupied. Skip it.

I eat here often, when in American’s MIA terminal D. There’s always a long line at this restaurant’s to-go counter & quite often the clients are airport employees. So, clearly this restaurant gets a lot of return business. I’ve ordered things to-go, when in a hurry, but I prefer to dine inside this restaurant. It’s comfortable & a nice place to relax before my flights. The service is friendly & they are always kind enough to substitute my rice, beans & plantains for steamed vegetables, because I’m usually on a low-carb diet. The vegetables are steamed perfectly and they’re flavorful and still somewhat crunchy. I like the food here and it’s very fresh, especially compared to La Carretta at gate D36, where that restaurant has a tendency to just slap the food onto your plate from large containers on their cafeteria assembly line. But, KuVa is not a cafeteria! This is a real restaurant with a real kitchen with real waiters and waitresses and a host. Some of my favorite dishes here are the Vaca Frita (fried beef) & Lomito de Cerdo (pork loin). I also enjoy their breakfast at this restaurant often. I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s actually always been quite good & satisfying. One more thing, remember you’re in a Cuban restaurant here. And they love lots & lots of sugar in their coffee. So, I always have to remember to request café con leche sin azúcar (Coffee with milk, without sugar). But, they speak English & Spanish here at this restaurant.

It was such a cute fun place with lots of color - blue walls, red overhead lights, and red chairs at the tables, colorful art, and a funky soft sculpture woman at the front entrance. The menu looked excellent - so I went in. I was thrilled to have discovered this little gem, but the older Cuban waiter was not as happy to see me. After I refused one of delicious drink options - and the "most excellent" prepared whole red snapper, he seemed to lose interest in me as a diner. I was able to order my sandwich - he was polite, but I felt like I had failed somehow... I did order the Cuban sandwich - a simple pressed sandwich made with sliced pork , thinly sliced ham, swiss cheese, and yellow mustard on Cuban bread. It was exactly as marketed... Other offerings included Media Noche, Pan con Bistec o pollo, and other sandwiches - as well as main entrees such as Lechon de la Suma, I Love Lucy d an pollo, and chuletas de Cerdo (pork chops), along with many many other selections and appetizers. I had had such high hopes for this beautiful restaurant. I am sure that if I had felt more welcomed, everything might have tasted better.... But, as I was one of the few people in the entire restaurant (another family and myself) , I was most aware of how easy it would have been to make me feel welcome. I might return - but never by myself. There are indeed other choices within the airport.

I read through some of these reviews after eating here already and was surprised at the negative comments. My husband and i just just traveled back from miami and had a long wait in the airport so we ate here for lunch and had such a great experience. The chicken soap was on point and just what we needed to cure the hangover we had lol...we ordered the churrassco with white rice and black beans and maduros and its was amazing. Best ive had in a while. I guess everything is a risk, everyone has different experiences. Luckily ours was great and we recommend trying this place for yourself. Of course it is pricey as its in the airport so expect to spend a little more but not outrageous.

asked for a water and a cielito linda quesadilla. The waitress didn’t like that i ordered an appetizer as a main meal so instead of bringing me a glass of water, she brought me a small fiji water bottle and a glass with a straw. The glass had water marks, a dried piece of lime on the inside, and my favorite, lip marks on the rim. I then paid $25 for that meal. The quesadilla is only half a quesadilla, too. Total crap. The food was average. Will never go there again. Why spend money when you can get the same quality food at the Wendy’s across the terminal.

Delicious and fresh Cuban food. We each had fish fillet and shrimp, one with sauce. Both were flavorful and cooked perfectly. Entree came with beans, rice, and fried plantains. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

This place puts the stereotype of airport food being bad to shame. The portions were surprisingly large, the quality was excellent, and the service was absolutely outstanding. They were great at being very attentive and helpful without being overbearing. I'll definitely visit here again next time and definitely recommend it!

My wife and I were enroute to Costa Rica and had a two hour layover at Miami Int. Airport. We saw two restaurants near each other, both with Cuban food and decided that this one had a much better sitting and dining area inside it. Service by JorgeR was excellent and our lunch was very good. I had the Sandwich Cubano and my wife had the Sopa de Pollo (chicken soup). On our return flight we wanted to stop again during a layover but some airport employee sent us on a long walk and we never did find it and had to eat at a bagel place. I would return if I could find it again LOL..

Good Cuban food and coffee, and exponentially so by airport standards, but experienced slow service and our server didn’t seem keen on conversation.

When wandering around Miami airport looking for a place to eat, we were recommend to Ku-Va as some of the best food in the airport. We noticed numerous airline personnel, flight attendants and pilots eating there. That alone is a good indication that Ku-Va is better than the average place. Prices were also reasonable compared to other places.

Had breakfast here on a layover. We had some kind of breakfast wrap that was pretty good. I do recommend the Michelada...it was awesome!

Stopped here on my return home. The pina colada’s are the best. I had to have 2. Service was good and good tasty.

Food and service is top notch. I travel the world and by far this is my favorite restaurant in an airport. I schedule my layovers and departure/arrival times at MIA to ensure I get a meal from here..

A gem of a Cuban restaurant worth a detour, if time permits, to the vicinity of gate D19 in MIA. We had a layover right at dinner time and were delighted to find this place. The staff were friendly and service was efficient. It is clear that they take their cooking seriously (without any pomposity) and are not "just an airport restaurant." Highly recommended.

I just joined so, I could write my 1st review. The eggs were pasty tasting, toast cold and barely toasted, and the red pepper in my scrambled eggs was a spec. Over priced and the worst experience I’ve ever had in airport dining. After reading the other reviews, I hope I don’t get sick.

Had a 6 hr layover before my departure. Walked throughout airport looking for somewhere to eat. Cuban food was our craving. Service slow for a empty restaurant, but food tasty. Quite expensive, but look where I am.

We had lunch at Ku Va while waiting for our flight at MIA. It offers a nice variety of Cuban food at reasonable prices. My Cuban sandwich was fresh with a nice combination of meat. My wife enjoyed roast pork. Service was good. I'll go back.

Food was great. We asked for water with our meal and they brought out a small bottle that they charged us $6 USD for! Sodas were about half that and a beer was only 1$ more. Then, they mentioned some specials, which 2 in my party ordered. The bill came, and the special was $36 USD! The server needs to tell you prices - especially since this was lunch, AND nothing else on the menu was even close to this price.

Many airport restaurants, in my experience, are loud, crowded, overpriced, and you eat there because you have few choices. I would gladly visit this restaurant again, if given the chance. They had a great menu selection to choose from. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The dining area was fantastic - not crowded, even with luggage around, and didn't feel like a big crowded, noisy room either. The food was so good - fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. It was really a great dining experience. I was pleasantly surprised.

I went for breakfast and mimosas while waiting to depart from the airport. The mimosas and MaiTais were reasonably priced and tasty. The breakfast was overpriced but not much could be expected from the airport.

The excellent service saved this visit to Ku-Va. Oh, and the Cuban coffee. But the rest of the visit during a layover was very average. Our server was very attentive and apologized for the time it took to get our meals - but we were in rush and the beer was cold and the coffee did pick us up. The food was average and the atmosphere seemed particularly sterile.

Great empanaditas, hamburgers and fish entree! Good service. A delight in the airport when we had time to kill and were starving.

My family was recently on a layover in Miami and had a wonderful lunch feast here. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Our server was kind enough to offer my wife and son take away boxes for the leftovers that they enjoyed on the plane. We noticed several aviation employees dining here (pilots, flight attendants, etc.) and were assured that it was a dependable eatery if the pros were coming. Highly recommended!

I ordered the egg and cheese crossaint along with Cafe con Leche. I also ordered 2 croquettes but they told me an order was 3 so I said ok. The croquettes are 1,15 each on the cafeteria menu outside. When the bill came they charged me 8.95 for the 3 croquettes. When I questioned it tge, waiter said that is what the order cost. I should have ordered them outside he said. WOW never again and I frequent this, airport a couple times a month.

So you always have to wonder about food in the airport but the food was delicious! We ordered the shredded Beef and Tropical Mojitos! We highly recommend both. The place was clean and the staff were both friendly and on point. If you are hungry, then make sure you visits this place!

Pushy server. We sat near the entrance and 4 staff members argued and/or talked loud the entire time we were there. Just rude. Don’t bother. As I’m pushing send to submit this review they are now even louder.

Loved the Cappuccino, it was luxury in a cup! Bursting with rich flavor & aroma...soft, creamy taste and no bitter aftertaste, the perfect blend. Plus service was great!

I ate here before my flight today (Jan 24, 2024). I ordered a cup of chicken soup, large entree salad and the vegetable quesadilla which was as supposed to have broccoli, onions and peppers (according to what was written in the menu. When it arrived, it had a lot of mushy carrots as well. I are some but pushed the carrots aside and then decided to double check the menu to see if I had misread it (and carrots were included). No mention of carrots, and I would not have ordered it had it said carrots. I called the silver over and told her who wouldn’t talk to the manager, and then he came over. He was very rude and belligerent and told me since I ate part of it, I needed to pay for the whole entree as well. I asked why the menu was misleading and tried to explain that I would not have Ordered it if carrots been in the description. I tried to visit with him one more time and again he was so rude to me I was the kind of person who just wants to make trouble. That was very offensive, especially coming from a manager of a restaurant. I have never been treated so poorly. I would not recommend this place simply due to the manager and his attitude.

Great place to stop and eat at the airport. Extremely kind staff - shoutout to Stephanie! Delicious Cuban food if you are looking for something more aligned with Miami culture!

Have eaten at Ku-Va previously (when passing thru the Miami Airport). Stopped in December as well. Service was very good. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Busy in the restaurant, but we still snagged a booth. Food was OK. I had shredded beef with rice and plantains. My hubby had roast pork with rice and plantains. He had beer and I had wine. Food was not quite as good as our prior visits. It was filling, but the flavors were not as intense as previous visits. Would definitely try them again. Maybe they were just having an "off" night in the kitchen.

We ordered the Chicken Strips and the pork... comes with two sides.. got the rice and had them pour black beans over the rice. Wow... great stuff. Don't forget the sauce...as it can be a little dry. Two could easily split one order.

The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly. When i say it's a great place, you don't have to take my word for it but when you see pilots eating there you know it's a great place.

It’s hard to find a quiet spot in the Miami airport. After my husband (a million miler on American) was turned away from the Admiral’s Club (no day passes), that’s what we were after. As we looked at the menu outside Ku-Va, a pilot walked by and said, “That’s good Cuban food.” We went in for dinner and found a relatively quiet and placid atmosphere, and several people in airline uniforms. Good sign. The Cuban waiter was professional and helpful. He recommended a beef dish my husband loved. I have to eat gluten free and dairy free, and it was no problem here. The waiter knew his stuff and advised against the deep fried plantains which, while yummy, are cooked in the same oil as breaded items. Instead he brought me a fresh mixed salad with oil and vinegar on the side. Very Celiac friendly. My grilled fish (#20 on the menu)was fresh, nicely seasoned, and delicious. The black beans and rice were also tasty. The drinks menu was good as well. Our waiter said this location was six years old, and the chef had 17 other restaurants in the Miami area. It was clearly more dedicated to cuisine and service than the average airport eatery. We’ll be back.

I was at Ku-Va for lunch on a Monday. They had just changed over from breakfast when I arrived. I found everyone to be very friendly and the restaurant itself to be clean and not cramped. There was a lot of room if one had bags to bring with them. The food was excellent with many choices on the menu. I would easily visit this restaurant again even with all of the other choices.

We decided to try their fast counter for the empanadas to go. We tried the spinach and ground beef and they were both good. The guava pastry was especially good.

I wanted something quick and relatively healthy, a hard combination when at an airport. This place had a to-go kiosk and a sit down restaurant. I chose the to-go coffee and a ham and cheese empanada that together was around $5. Not a bad price for airport food that is not MacDonalds. I took my little meal to eat at the terminal seats but when I took a bite of the empanada juice ran down my leg and onto my shoes! The empanada was tasty but I have no idea why there was so much juice in that thing. Anyway, I do recommend the food, just be careful eating it!

Caught in Miami with delayed flights and decided to just sit down and have a nice meal. On concourse D near gate 19, Ku Va, appeared. I did not feel like I was stranded, the menu was varied, I had the grilled pork chop, my husband tried the roast pork.....served with back beans, rice, and plantains. All prepared and presented with enthusiasm. I look forward to my next lay over in Miami!!! Don't forget to have coffee for dessert...

This is a small, open sided Deli close to American Airlines gates, so it is convenient to buy take out to eat on the plane. Quite a good variety of sandwiches, salads, dressings - good value for the prices.

One of my favorite places to eat anything (breakfast, lunch, dinner) at the MIA airport. Excellent service too!

Service was prompt; the food was good - fresh and served with panache. The welcome was friendly - often airport restaurants and food outlets are quite impersonal. The Ku Va staff make a point of greeting diners and checking back during the course of the meal.

We ate breakfast here before our flight. They have very good Cuban breakfast wraps. The service was excellent. They do add a 15% service charge. We liked the food here so we stopped for dinner before our flight home. We both ordered the Lechon (roast pork). The food was excellent. The portion was large. Next time, I would split an order with my wife. The prices were reasonable for an airport restaurant. I would eat here again.

I thought the food was good for Airport Quality. The steak and eggs interpretation on the menu was pretty good however I felt there were more tater tots and eggs. I would suggest you save room for the Tres Leches cheesecake. Show me a better choice compared to the other places to go eat in the restaurant areas if you have time before your flight leaves. The dining experience was very pleasant but they can get busy sometimes.

Stopped to eat between flights. First, we were asked about drinks..ordered waters and one coffee. Water came quickly. Waiter came for order and I pointed, on the menu, what we wanted. We got an entirely different sandwich which was very good but cost more. Then I got up to request utensils and napkins. Got up again when it was apparent my coffee wasn’t coming....food was very good, coffee rich and favorable, but service shoddy!

I was surprised how good the food was AT THE AIRPORT! Ordered the guava margarita, which was super good. I ordered the two bone in pork chops meal. It was actually really good ! The portion sizes are large. I didn’t think I was even going to finish my food when I first saw how big the meal was.... very happy I ate here

The lady behind the counter was from Cuba that we got to talk about Cuba for a while because I have been all over Cuba :)

Good food, good service!! Highly recommended. My new favorite Cuban resraurant in the Miami Airport. Very clean and very welcoming.

Service was awful. Couldn’t figure out how to bring me a menu. Walked out and ate at Wendy’s across the hall.

Good sandwich and plantain chips. Nothing extraordinary, but would go there again. It did take sort of a long while to get the sandwiches.

Kuva is a relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle of busy Miami International Airport. It has Cuban inspired dishes from fish, chicken, pork and beef. Great service as well as food

Had a 3 hour lay-over so two of us had lunch here. Great service and the Bloody Mary bar cart is OVER THE TOP! Dang! Great food and excellent service!

This restaurant has a takeout section at the front and a regular sit-down area, with bar - quite spacious - inside. I chose to sit down. I am not a big spender; I ordered chicken with rice and plantains (maduros). I got a whole half a chicken. Nice big helping! But, it had no special flavor to it. If it had tasted more special I would have upped my rating, as all else was fine. I made the mistake of ordering sparkling water. This costs too much at restaurants; I should know better! But it was a good match to the food for me, a non-drinker. By the way, if you go Cuban, get maduros. They add so much to a meal!

I hate to write a negative review but I also hate to endure a flight hungry. My husband and I picked up a danish and a muffin yesterday(take-out), along with yogurt and beverages, and both were stale. The muffin literally disintegrated into dry crumbs when I removed the plastic wrap. I could not eat it. Unfortunately, I was on my flight by the time I discovered this or I would have returned it. The yogurt was packaged and was fine. Sounds like this place does better with sit down meals.

I visited this restaurant based on Yelp reviews. It was just okay. The wait staff was very friendly but I had to wait a while to get my check. The food was average. I ordered the chicken and rice (#1 on the menu). The chicken was grilled and had sauteed onions on top. Nothing fancy. The white rice was a good portion and they also provided a bowl of black beans. I ate at the other Cuban restaurant in the airport that I really enjoyed. Ku-Va has a great wait staff, but the food isn't worth a return visit.

Waiting on my flight out of D Concourse at MIA, I ate lunch at Ku-Va Cuban Bar & Grill. For an airport restaurant, the service was good. The pricing was acceptable. And the food was good.

We stopped in the Miami Airport for a Cuban Lunch at Ku-va café, and the food was great and the service also. Wine list is good gGood

Great!!! What a delight! An airport employee recommended me the restaurant for lunch and what a surprise, I'm sure no airport in the world had eaten so rich, I ordered roast cow, wow!!! My wife ordered old clothes and my son chicken quesadilla and we were all happy, a new mandatory place when traveling through Miami airport, suuuuu recommended!!

The restaurant is pretty sizable, huge booths and interesting décor, but that's about where the positives end. I had the arroz con pollo (12.95) and I was not impressed. The chicken was so very very dry and the rice a solid scoop of starchy mush. The plantains were a sticky and strangely textured mass. I understand that I'm at the airport and shouldn't expect a grand production, but I expect it to be on the plus side of edible. Now, let's mention the service, or perhaps not. The servers kept throwing themselves down in the booth in front of me, often times propping their feet up and leaning against the wall, but what burned me was when another server came over to talk them and propped one foot up on the bench in the booth I was sitting at. The manager was no where to be found, and even though I ordered a water and a Blue Moon (6.95 for a standard bottle) I never did manage to find my server for another beer and a water refill until way past the time I was ready to leave. It was a very disappointing ending to a Miami stay. Don't go here and let this be your last memory of Cuban food.

The ropa vieja islana with black beans, white rice, and fried plantains ($18USD) is the only thing I eat when flying through MIA anymore. I have even flown some back to share with my family so they could see what I was raving about. Tropical drinks were ok, but pretty sugary. It's worth a stop and you can order the full menu to-go from the walk-up bar.

I still can’t believe that this was airport food! I had a layover on my way home from Curaçao, and after the hellish experience that is going through customs in Miami, I was famished (and hangry is not what you want to be when you’re flying). I had about 30 minutes until my flight boarded and I wanted, no, needed, a well made cocktail and a delicious salad (I hadn’t had a decent serving of vegetables the whole time I was on vacation). I was not sure if there was a hostess, so I stood at the door for a few minutes until one of the servers invited me to come in and sit anywhere I liked. My server, Odalys, was great. I explained to her that my flight was boarding soon, and she made sure that I got what I needed in time. The mojito I ordered was, hands down, the best mojito I’ve ever had (again… this is at an airport!). Odalys asked if I wanted Cuban or house rum. Cuban, duh! (-: Maybe that’s what made it taste so good… I dunno. But it was excellent. I only wish that I had time for a second. I ordered the MIA Salad for dinner: grilled skirt steak over lettuce, with tomato slices, guacamole and a vinaigrette dressing. It took longer to prepare than I expected, so I asked my server to prepare it to go. She made sure I had utensils and plenty of napkins and sent me on my way with a smile. I don’t know what everyone else on my flight was eating, but I definitely had the most delicious dinner on that plane. The skirt steak was so tender and juicy, you almost didn’t need teeth to eat it. It was so flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium. And it was a very generous portion of steak. A very filling and delicious way to end a vacation. You can find Ku-Va in the D terminal, right in front of Gate D 19. If you’ve got some time to kill in between flights, this is a great place to stop in for cocktails and a bite to eat. The food is phenomenal. The service is fantastic. Although I absolutely cannot stand this airport, if I’m ever passing through MIA again, I’m heading straight to Ku-Va.

Staff was so kind and caring. I appreciate people staying people and caring for customers. Thank you again!!! I wish there were more places like this, where you feel treated well, regardless of the situation

Kuva is the choice for Cuban food at the Miami international airport the food is good portions are large. You can't go wrong with anything in the menu. If you want a taste of Cuban food this is the place

Great time with good friends and great food! The cuban sandwich was really good and so was the KuVA LIBRE Salad!

My wife and I were recommended this place by an airport worker form a different store. The gentleman happened to be of Cuban decent and stated that it was a legitimate establishment and we should give it a try. We had the fried beef and a specialty burger. We were not disappointed and would definitely agree that this restaurant is above par for an airport. Service was average and the price typical of an airport, which is to say pricey, but not unreasonable.

During a layover at Miami International Airport we decided to try another Cuban restaurant, and Ku-Va did not disappoint. Our server was very nice and efficient. Everything in the menu looked great, but we both decided on the Ropa Vieja (literally, old clothes in Spanish), shredded beef in a creole sauce, with white rice and sweet plantains. My wife had the Mojito, which she liked very much, and I had a Sangria, which was good. All in all, we had a full and satisfying meal, with good service and in a pleasant atmosphere. Recommended

We stopped here to grab a quick lunch before our flight. This is a nice-looking airport restaurant and looks clean with decent comfortable furniture. My daughter ordered the Vaca Frita to go. She said they gave her a generous portion, and it was delicious! The bill with tip was $23. Javier was the server, and he was friendly and attentive. No complaints here. We will keep this place in mind for future travels via the airport, concourse D.

I have to say that I have eaten at Kuva restaurant at Miami international airport before and the food is always delicious. But today, very undecided about what to eat, I asked the waiter if he recommended the Lucy arroz con pollo, he told me it was delicious, so I decided to try it. I should've known better, since I was served less than 2 minutes after placing my order. The rice was room temperature with no taste, the chicken was on one side of the plate, cold, hard with no taste at all, and to top it all, the maduros where hard and cold!!!!! I guess the waiter notice that I was not eating and asked me how the food was, I told him exactly how terrible it was. He called the manager over and she offered to make me any other plate And apologized over and over. I told her I was not interested in any other plate since I had lost my appetite. We all know what usually happens in the kitchen when you send a plate back. I was very disappointed and can tell you that I will never eat at kuva in Mia airport again. Next time I will go to the carrera and even better now Estefans kitchen in the same terminal!!! Worst arroz con pollo in the world!!! It was just yellow rice on one side and chicken on the other side!!!! A true Cuban arroz con pollo is cooked together at the same time!!!!!! Don't eat there!!!!

Yes!!! I have to say that this is some of the best Cuban food that I have had in a LONG TIME and I can't believe it's in an airport!!! I asked the gentleman bartender (yes, gentleman bartender because his style and poise was quite to be admired) if there was an establishment outside of the airport that this was derived from. He said this was the only one. Whaaaa?!? Owners, I hope you read these reviews because I'm here to tell you that this is a missed opportunity. If this was a restaurant in the DC/MD area, I'd be there, like, ALL the time!

Excellent Cuban food. The Milanese was very tasty and juicy. The plate is big you can share. We ordered a very good tasting fish fillet too. First class service. Everyone who attended us with a smile and very friendly, so worth eating

ate here with the wife while we waited for out connection flight. Food was Cuba heaven and not expensive at all!!! Our waiter, Juan Carlos was excellent. We had done breakfast at this place about a year ago and we loved there toasts. Asked Juan Carlos if they serve it for dinner and he wasn't sure but he went the extra mile and had them made for us, yum yum!!!! will definitely keep visiting!!

This place was very busy when we arrived. Waiters running around like mad men, even so, our waiter was kind and helpful. Great meal!! My husband had the #11 and I had the #20. BOTH FANTASTIC!! we would recommend this to anyone that doesnt want something greasy and that will make you feel like there's a brick in your stomach before a flight.

Three of us stopped here for lunch on a Saturday layover. Nice, bright and clean restaurant with lots of choices on the menu. My friend ordered the empanadas which were an appetizer and two pretty big empanadas were delivered to her. Truly enough for a whole lunch. Two of us ordered this seasoned ground beef number which came with rice and platanos and it was a generous portion and super delicious :) Wish there was a Ku-Va in my town!!

$12 for a margarita? Ok. I had fried pork chunks (Masai de credo). Hard as a rock so I did not finish it.... the black bean soup was good. 1800 Hrs and very quiet.

The Ropa Vieja was amazing!!! Definitely will stop again next time I’m in the Miami Airport!! Great Service and great food!

For airport terminal food, this was OK just not memorable. Appears way overrated here on TA. Service was a little slow but friendly. Arroz con pollo was dry and parts of chicken hard like it had been cooked earlier and then reheated; yellow rice was well rice nothing special or tasty. The pulled pork (lechon) on the other hand was very good, moist, tender and tasty, while the maderos were sweet and extra good! On balance, Ku Va was OK not great! Just don't think it ranks in the top 5% of restaurants given the many excellent dining options in Miami!

Not just good for airport food, but actually good food! 8 of us were on our way home from a girls’ trip & this was one more party to cap off our holiday. Special shout out to our fabulous server Juliana who guided through the menu with genuine warmth & professionalism. She went the extra mile to satisfy our dietary specifications. We loved the Build Your Own Bloody Mary cart & the top shelf margaritas which were handcrafted and not too sweet. A great taste of true Miami food and flair.

First off, the restaurant staff is super. I haven't seen this many smiles so early in the morning. We had a flight out of the D concourse and had a few hours to kill and didn't want to fight the "food court" crowd. This is a very nice, very clean sit down restaurant. We had the breakfast. The service is very fast and served with a smile. I had the two eggs with tater tots and toast and a side of bacon, my husband had the Belgium waffle with whipped cream. We both had coffee. Our cups were refilled without asking. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but I suppose for the airport, it is about average. Our bill was about $35 for two. The food was prepared to our liking and was pretty tasty.

We had a layover at Miami International Airport and tried this restaurant. The food was reasonably priced. My husband and I split the quesadilla appetizer-chicken. If you are very hungry you may want your own. It was a large sized tortilla and it came with pico, sour cream, and guacamole. It was quite tasty. The restaurant was modern, but warm and inviting. The wait staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If you have a layover check it out in Terminal D.

My wife and I stopped in Ku-Va for a late lunch before flying off to Ecuador. We were delighted with the service and the selections of drinks and food. I cannot attest to it being authentic Cuban but I suspect it was. The entire staff appeared to be Cuban. The food was delicious. I had a seafood and sauce dish which was served with a side of rice and plantains. It was spiced but not overly so. My wife had a shredded beef dish which was also served with rice and plantains. For desert we both had flan. It was a great meal.

Passing through found this amazing Cuban restaurant, try the steak with chimichurri ! Best food in an airport I've ever had

Some of the best fish I’ve ever had. The plantains were amazing. We had the plantation chips with garlic dip for an appetizer which was different and pretty tasty. It’s not a place to go if you are in a hurry but if you have a comfortable layover definitely make a stop here.

I qualified as a regular restaurant inside the airport, we decided to have breakfast before embarking on another plane, we ordered for four people and the food was also good but I consider the $ 91 bill, before tax a Is over.

I never thought that I would be writing a review of an airport restaurant. However, my wife and I were very pleased with our meal at the Miami Airport. The food is Cuban and very good. I had the grilled pork loin and my wife enjoyed the grilled fish. Both were excellent. For dessert we shared flan, which was done perfectly. Our server was very friendly and professional. Ku-Va was a delightful surprise in a busy airport.

I travel every single week out of the Miami airport to many countries for work, so I do eat at the airport all the time and have done this for the last 20 years. Please do yourself a favor don't even consider eating at this place. I have tried it about four times and it is just awful, if you wonder why I keep going there, it us close to my gate. I have gotten sick every single time. If hungry and in a hurry, please try any other, but this joint

We wanted a sit down meal while we had a four hour layover. We came across this restaurant and decided to check it out. It was surprisingly amazing. The Mojitos I highly recommend. We ordered the Yucca Fries which were very good and the masitas de cerdo with yellow rice and sweet plantains. It was a perfect meal before we headed out back home. Very filling and the flavors were on point. Server and staff were very friendly. Would come back again!

Waiting around in airports is an occupational hazard, so it is great to find a pleasant way of doing that. Ku-va ( meaning Cuba) is just the place. We had a Cuban sandwich and Red bean soup - delicious. - setting us up for the flight to follow.

The food was excellent. However, the service was sub-standard. Our waiter never told us his name. He never checked on us to ask if we needed anything. He never refilled our water glass. He gave us the check without asking if we wanted anything else. We had to let him that we wanted another rounds of drinks. When he came to the table for the check, he asked if we needed change, to which we responded ‘no’. After counting the money, he returned to the table to let us know that we should have tipped him 18% or more ( forgot to mention that he had underlined the suggested tip amounts on the check). This was the most he ever talked to us. My sister asked him if he was aware that the poor tip reflected the poor service and recapped his poor job. Instead of apologizing, his attitude got worse. The final insult came as we left the establishment. When we left the hostess did not wish us a good day, thank us, or tell us to have a safe trip. She said nothing until I acknowledged her. So sad that such great food was accompanied by such poor service.

The restaurant appears and promises to be a lot more than it delivers. The ambience is great, the view of the runway is nice, and service is pleasant. But the food is quite underwhelming, both in terms of quantity and dull presentation. The taste is OK, could be much better considering the potential for delicious latin american cuisine. Still, better than getting a burger at Wendy's. Pricey, as you'd expect.

Almost never on this side of the terminal so this was my second attempt here. Overall service is decent and the waiter was good. The time waiting for the food was reasonable and my coffee cup kept getting full. Had a 'Cuban burrito' (believe it has a different name on the menu) which gets a 8/10. Not crowded in the morning. Was paying cash, asked for my bill which added to about 17.5 USD + tax and automatic 18% gratuity which I feel I didn't have to oblige. So total bill was actually $21.46 USD (including gratuity) so I left $21.00 and left, the waiter chased me down the hall saying I owed him $0.46 - like really dude? Delved into pockets to give him $0.50 but made up that I would never return here. Perhaps the only place that made it seem that the gratuity is automatic and a given. Stay away unless you dying of hunger!

Many of the airport officials eat at this sit down, one person recommended this pleasant restaurant. My husband had a pork dish and I had a fish filet in salsa verde . Both were excellent. Plaintains were delicious. They also have sandwiches . Food was excellent but staff could improve their friendliness skills . They automatically added a 15 % tip . That was fine for us . They weren’t rude just looked bored with their jobs . All of them ! Would definitely go back for the food . Don’t lose the chefs

All was great there Sun. eve. 8/19!!! Cold beer w/cold glasses, well prepped food, decent service, great Bloody Marys!!!!! Ready to go back-its 5 hr flt.! For those of you b--ching prices....pack a fn lunch or start walking-its an airport-with a captive audience....WTH....you want handouts!!

Clean. Excellent service. Chicken soup very nice. Black bean soup was very good. Empanadas very good but the cilantro sauce killed it. Recommended.

The service was excellent, the food was above ok. Had WiFi but is not extended for customer’s use which was disappointing. Value is below average.
Breakfast Between Flights
The restaurant wasn’t crowded. I requested a table by the window. I placed my order asked and received my coffee and I ordered. When I received my food it looked good but it was cold. I did not receive a warm up on my coffee though the waiter serviced a table nearby but never acknowledged me trying to get his attention while he lingered in conversation. When I got the bill an 18% gratuity had already been added. I didn’t have time to make a complaint before my connecting flight.
