I love the green tea here! have the hot green tea with the sushi and it will be good...without the green tea the sushi is ok. i also suggest the salmon checks especially if they are right out of the fryer.

Excellent sushi for a reasonable price. You are able to park close to the place in the underground garage right next to it.

Good sushi, fun atmosphere, decent prices. Wait is too long and its too difficult to get a server's attention if you need something not on the conveyer belt

yes....this is a place my daughter accepted it, cause most sushi in DMV kinda bored, but for my daughter like this restaurant, she love how they served sushi by put on the rail and delivery to you, even you can order to make fresh one and they send out by the another belt; highly recommend to order by tablet if you want your sushi make fresh to order, my highlight was temaki handrolled salmon skin , the skin was warm and crispy. amount of rice was perfect, taste on sweet side then sour by end...please note I saw a lot of sushi shop seasoning their rice with salt , seriously never ever go back to that shop if you taste salt in sushi rice.... anyway get back to this Kura... every single plate has a good amount of rice even it make by machine the portion of rice came out good... i don't have to leave rice on my plate..$2.75 per plate and I don't want to waste anything ...specially rice...beside sushi, they offer hot food, side dish from tablet.. highlight of my dinner; fresh fish, fresh wasabi, good soy sauce, nice seasoning for rice, your store make my night in So.Cal..

Revolving bar sushi with premade choices that circle around. If what you want is gone before the belt gets to you or you don’t see what you want, use the touch screen (iPad) next to the table to order it. When you are done with a plate, slide it through the slot next to the table and the same iPad will keep track of your plate count. Sushi is always fresh and quality is quite good for the $2.75 plate cost. A note on parking for the sawtelle location - On the weekend a parking attendant will give you a ticket though he will often forget to tell you that you can park in any available spot including the many spots marked reserved. So few spots are non- reserved that it is hard to find parking if you don’t know this. Wait time on the weekends can be quite long but they have an app you can use to add your name to the waitlist. I highly recommend this. Since it will tell you approximate wait time and you can get yourself on the list and time your arrival accordingly.

Recommended by a relative and it was fun to select just what you wanted from the array that passed your table. Was a great value and we enjoyed the experience.

The majority of the items are $2.50. We ordered about 15 items and found that everything was equally as great. We especially liked tagoyaki and scallops with mayo sauce. If you like tentacles order the calamari (all tentacles! So yummy) Would definitely go back again (and again, and again, and again... lol)

The food was delicious! Came out fast and the servers were very nice and on point. We asked for a refill on our drinks (we were a party of 7) and we literally didnt have to wait longer than a minute or two before he returned with them! Also there are other options besides sushi if you arent partial to fish. They have ramen and tempura and even steak sushi. And you can also make a new order if you dont see what you want on the belt or if you want it fresh. Theres also this fun game where when you deposit enough plates after your check, you win little prizes! very cute. Loved this place and will come back when I'm in the area again!

I had never been to a place like this b/c I’m not a big sushi ester. The small plates of food come to you on a belt, and you pay a set price per plate. Plus, you can order other food from a touch-screen. The sushi was very good (raw and cooked selection). My sister NEVER eats sushi and she loved it! Quick was wonderful because we had a tired one-year old with us. There was a wait on a weekday at lunchtime, so put in a reservation. (Located in Little Tokyo section)

A casual great place to have some delicious sushi, we enjoyed the tasty freshly made food and the efficient service. Prices were reasonable too.

I came to the restaurant late May 2019. The fish and meat quality is great and fresh. I recommend sharing the dishes with your friends so that everyone can try a bit of everything. You came to the restaurant, pick a number, and the restaurant will send you a text to inform when to come. The wait was really long. During lunch/ dinner time, the wait is normally 70 - 90 mins. However, it's worth waiting.

I really liked this place, the food is great and the sushi conveyor belt is really fun. My favorite sushi platter here was the Philadelphia roll it is like the California roll, but with cream cheese. The lines can be a bit long, so I recommend coming early for dinner ( at about 5:45 or 6:00)

The title says it all. Forget about Sugarfish and Nobu. Sure, if you're rich and you don't need to worry about the cost, then maybe Kura isn't for you. But if you're an average Joe or Joanne, you can stuff yourself with sushi and sake at Kura and not spend even close to $100. Try the crab hand rolls, salmon sushi, and the sesame balls for dessert. The atmosphere and the staff also make it worthwhile. The downside is the wait. Use the Kura app to "get in line" virtually without having to sign in and wait an hour.

Fun, funky and tasty. Fits the bill for a quick snack without the high price tag. Fresh and varied choices; parking is easy to find.

While out on a play date with my daughter, her friend and her friend's mom we decided to have dinner here because it would be fun for the girls. We drove there thinking we wouldn't have a long wait because it was still early for dinner on a Saturday but once we got there and put our name on the list we found out that according to the tablet mounted on the outside of the restaurant there was a 2.5 hour wait! We thought it was a mistake because there wasn't that many people waiting outside. While we continued to wait assuming that it wouldn't be that long we then found out that there is an app that you can download and add your name to the list ahead of time without having to be there and wait! At this point we had already waited almost an hour so we decided to go get boba drinks across the street while we continued to wait. In the end we enjoyed our meal and the girls enjoyed the experience but it was quite frustrating to have to wait there that long while others just showed up to be seated!

I recently brought two friends to Kura sushi for a mid afternoon meal. It was a lot of fun. Neither of them had seen a revolving sushi bar before. The sushi was very good. The service was also good. We will come back here again soon. This place is very popular, so I tend to go early or late, otherwise there can be quite a line. Also for good sushi, this place is very inexpensive!.

Kula recently remodelled their restaurant, and it is a really fun place to try. Not only does the sushi come by on a revolving belt, but if your favorite dish isn't in sight, you can order it directly from a touch screen at your table. It is prepared just for you and whoosh! It arrives on a skyway conveyor belt, stopping directly at your table with an announcement of your order (in Japanese). You deposit your empty plates in a receptacle at the end of your table, and it is tallied on your touch screen. If your table hits 15 plates eaten, there is a comical story of a ninja fight scene and you are rewarded with a ball that rolls down a track. Inside is a mystery prize. I received a compact pen that is cute. The sushi itself is varied and there is a wide menu of different kinds, including cooked and raw seafood and fish, as well as vegetables, egg, and deserts. Miso soup is also available to be ordered on the screen. It is a fun epicurean adventure!

This is a great sushi place - close to Beverly Hills. The dishes are $2.5 a plate (with a few exceptions). You can get the sushi plates from the belt as well as order on the fancy order panel. It is always packed during dinner. If you get there after 6 p.m., be prepared to wait for at least 20 minutes or so. But the food is so worth it.

Kula Sushi is the perfect place to eat sushi as if it's a video game! The menu has tons of variety and the easy to use touch screen allows you to order as you please, and watch the dishes zoom down the conveyor belt towards you with glee!! I just wish they had gluten free tamari soy sauce there, but oh well. The service is on point. There is pretty much always a wait during dinner hours, but lunches are a bit freer. I love this place! I have friends who drive from the valley all the way to west la to eat sushi at this location. Thanks KURA!

A family outing to one of the grandkids favourites. I have seen revolving Sushi bars but never eaten in one, and this was great fun. Much better than anticipated. It is very popular and one cannot reserve, but we were lucky and only had to wait 20 minutes on a Saturday lunch hour! The food choices are as usual, and all tasted fresh and flavoursome. The place has a buzz and the staff are helpful. Fine dining it ain't, fun eating it is.

The food is great along with the price. Families with children will have fun once you reach the 10th plate so they can receive a toy! If you are not a sushi fan you will become one after eating at Kula!

This is a revolving sushi bar restaurant where all the sushi is $2.25 a plate. When you are finished taking choices from the bar and eating, they count your plates for the bill. There are other things on the menu for a few dollars more, for instance Ramen noodles. The restaurant is not fancy, but is kept very clean. It is a good place to take children (they do have 1/2 dozen tables that also have access to the revolving sushi bar. If you just want a quick snack you can be in and out easily in 20 minutes or less. At lunch or dinner time there is often a line with a sign up sheet outside the door, so I tend to go mid afternoon for a snack ( a time when most of the better sushi restaurants happen to be closed between lunch and dinner).

We stopped by here because we were craving Sushi, and Sawtelle is the place to go for a quick lunch. There was a 10 minute wait, but the turn over is quick. The Sushi come by you (if you are at the bar) on a conveyor belt, which is always interesting since you can pick what you want to eat (plates at $2.25 a pop are counted later). I remember that these kinds of places in Japan (especially near Osaka train station) are pretty downmarket, but in LA, this restaurant at least was hygenic and quite popular. We had the tuna, salmon, shrimp, eel, and various creatively made rolls, all washed down with Asahi beer, and came away quite happy with the bill at $30 for two people.

Kura Sushi on Sawtell brings your sushi to your table on a conveyor belt. Pre-made selections circle around to all of the tables in covered containers with clear tops so that you can see what is inside. You can also order items on a computer and have them delivered directly to your table on another conveyor belt. The bill is calculated by counting the number of plates. Food is decent and fresh.

We saw the Buzzfeed Worth It boys eat at a Japan Kura Sushi location a while back and thought we had to give it a try while in LA. It was truly an experience. All plates on the revolving belt are the same affordable price ($2.90 at the time we went). The nigiri plates had 2 pieces on each, the specialty rolls had 3 pieces per plate, and the more standard rolls had 4 pieces. They also had edamame, sesame balls, tamago, and other fun items on the belt. Once you finish a plate, you just place it in the slip at the table and it counts them for your bill. There is an interactive screen at each table as well where you can order hot items, more of something you saw on the belt, hand rolls, and even desserts. The items you order to your table come over on the top belt and stop right in front of you. You can also call for your waiter or waitress. They also have a selection of sakes and I tired a plum wine that was amazing! This is such a fun time and a great way to try different sushi that you wouldn't normally want to order a whole plate of! Great for groups to share as well. Bonus: if you get to 15 plates, a prize drops down from a machine at your table!

Even we booked we still have to wait awhile before we can have our table. As we have 5 people it is a bit difficult to accommodate. The food very good. The system of ordering food very good. Very popular sushi restaurant so it’s advisable to book in advance.

The perfect combo. The green tea is the powdered kind and not the teabag. The selection is nice and they also have Udon, tempura and an assortment of desserts. I recommend that you go with a friend or two and sample more plates.

Our party of 3 arrived at around 4:20 pm on a Friday and logged in (Name & Number in Party) outside on a tablet and the computer assigned us a number. The wait at that time was around 20 minutes to get to our number. However we were seated around 15 minutes later in front first side out of 4 delivery sides. I ordered an Asahi Beer 20 oz. while I looked over the Sushi & Tempura menus. The conveyor belt & chute food delivery system is incredible which I'm told is common-place in Japan. The sushi was very good and fresh...not fishy or chewy. I ordered a spider crab roll to order and it came down a chute and stopped right above our table....fantastic ! This place is really good and not too pricey. We left at about 6 pm and noticed that the wait was about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Kula Revolving Sushi has a fun CONVEYOR BELT that delivers your sushi. It's such a popular place you might have to wait to get seated - but if you're willing to go with the flow it can be quite enjoyable with very good sushi as the reward. They are very reasonably priced, cater to all types of sushi lovers, and you just stack your plates so they can count them to figure up your bill.

We read about the revolving sushi bar and wanted to try it. This place is on the bottom floor of a strip mall with parking in underground garage on site. We loved the concept of the sushi revolving by you on a conveyor belt, where you can see and pick out what you want. Small portions make it easy to try different things. The sushi was good. Prices seemed very fair. They have both booths and counter, both having access to the revolving sushi bar. We would definitely go again.

Had a great AYCE experience for a reasonable price. Love the conveyor belt model and that there are games to play based on how much you eat. Will come back again!

We are a family of sushi lovers. Unique dining experience and the Little Tokyo location requires that you reserve in advance because the lines came be quite long. For a family of four with 1 soda and 1 beer came to $177.00 with tip. The sushi was good but the revolving idea makes that you don't quite remember how many plates you took-better to go to an AYCE place.

Haven for those people who loves sushi. Great selection of fish and other seafoods. I've been to the other Hula branch (San Diego and Los Angeles branches) and the only downfall on this place compared to other branches is that, they don't have the plate counter where you feed in your used place. I feel like its part of the whole Hula experience but nonetheless, food is still great.

We had so much fun at this place! We showed up at 5pm on a Saturday and there was already an hour wait but you can sign up on a tablet outside and get a text when your table is ready so we just looked around nearby stores. The dining experience is fun: food comes on the conveyor belt and special orders can be made on an iPad and are delivered by a second conveyor belt automatically, The food was good and we had a lot of fun. It's also very fairly priced, for sushi. Highly recommend!

It was my first time in Kura Revolving Sushi Bar but i ve been in Kura in Little Tokyo before. I really liked this place. Sushi was really tasty. A lot of people wanted to visit this place and that’s why i waited for about 10 minutes. Not so expensive. I d like to come back!🤗

This place is wonderful! But do yourself a favor and make a reservation early. We waited for nearly a half hour, but it was worth it. So many options, including a menu you can order off of. Everything but the drinks is delivered by the moving belt. And if you clear and deposit 15 plates into the chute, you win a little prize. Very cute.
Great experience
My husband and I ordered is on and 5 different types of sushi. The prices of each plate is affordable and allows you to try a variety of dishes. Everything was fresh and delicious. The spider roll was really, really good. Parking can be challenging but we were lucky enough to find a space in the underground garage in front. We enjoyed the revolving sushi and will definitely return.
