Holiday dinner with friends that had never been to Kyma. As always they never disappoint. Excellent, high quality food and service. Great ambience too. Annalise our server was amazing! Highly recommend Kyma and all Buckhead Life Group restaurants.

One of our favorite restaurants because of the food. And we were not disappointed this time. We had a beet salad and a watermelon salad -- both had a scoop of sorbet which was a unique and good touch. The salt-encrusted fish is so flavorful and moist and delicious. We had a very good Greek wine. The hostesses greeted us very warmly. But after that, the service was very unenthusiastic and perfunctory. "Here's your food" seemed to be the attitude. Then the bill was not correct. Half-price Greek wines on Sunday evening is a great deal, but they brought us a bill with the wine at full price. We will go back, but I hope they can upgrade their service.

Kyma never disappoints. The service and food quality is always superb. The staff seats you based on your type of evening: quieter for business dinners as an example which is much appreciated. Cannot beat their lamb and seafood.

This place I highly recommend it. The food and service are very very professional, I ordered the grilled octopus and the mushroom salad they were just perfect. The atmosphere is very calm and according to prices is expensive.

This was a good choice for us as both the service and food was excellent. Not your run of the mill Greek resturaunt fare. Many excellent choices of dishes you would only find in Greece. Our only complaint was the dining room was too cold. Bring a sweater or light jacket if you are like most women.

Was here on a business meeting, and randomly stumbled upon this place via a friend. They serve traditional Greek dishes, but the specialty is the seafood. Great aura, open atmosphere with a display of their fish upon entering the restaurant. Service was prompt. Waiter gave us several recommendations on drinks and apps, and we received both right away. Amazing spanikopita. The octopus was like nothing I have ever had before. Simply prepared with lemon, capers, and onion. The texture was unlike any octopus I have had in prior gourmet restaurants. Was so tender and flavorful. I want to come back to Atlanta just to enjoy this again. We ordered branzino which came out beautifully prepared, with lemon, capers, and butter. Perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place if you've never tried Greek food before it's a must, and if you like Greek food, you will be extremely satisfied.

Table of 5 this evening and it was an absolute pleasure. Our Waitress was brilliant, very enthusiastic and full of passion. The octopus was fantastic and the fish with the vegetables was absolutely first class. First time at this restaurant but it won’t be my last. Very nice ambience, great food and wonderful service. Top marks.

The experience was great! I enjoyed the food. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned so well. The decor was great. Our server was very professional and pleasant. She was very knowledgeable about the dishes available. As we were leaving the restaurant, a couple came in with with a dog on a leash. It didn't appear to be a service dog for a visually impaired person. Perhaps, it was a therapy dog. I don't know but it was so odd seeing a dog in the restaurant.

WOW!! We are from San Francisco, where the standard for restaurants is very high. Kyma was GREAT and would surely rank among the finest restaurants in our home town. We only had appetizers this evening--about 10 different dishes--and mixed drinks. Everything was outstanding--If you would like to enjoy a top quality Greek dinner, don't miss Kyma. ...and the service was exceptional, too!

We were looking for a different restaurant this evening. Google Map helped. It said Nice Greek restaurant. When we arrived something was different. We were welcomed by Blerta, our server from Albania. She was so friendly and passionate - we felt immediately very comfortable. We had the suggested Meze Dinner with several appetizers including the main dish, a fish. What a beautiful dinning experience.

What a fantastic evening. The restaurant created this area that reminded you of being out on the Greek palazzos over looking the seas though there was no water around. The heaters in this semi outdoor area ensured we did not get cold. The candle light provided the perfect ambience. I had all the specials— seasonal crab claw , which was a huge portion and the artic char with seasonal jus on a bed of wild mushrooms. It melted in my mouth. The chef visited our table as we were his fans and one of us had purchased his cookbook. They prepared a special baklava for my birthday that made it extra special!! Thanks Kyma!

Didn’t expect this! Absolutely superb fresh food, efficiently served. Paired with tasty Greek Wine. I will be back!

We've been meaning to try Kyma for quite some time and finally made it Saturday night for my sons birthday. We had to eat early as that's the only reservation we could get. We walk in and are immediately greeted by Pano himself, the staff knew our name and sat us quickly. The server explained the menu and we decided on the "tasting" menu. I normally don't pick that option as it's usually the chef's choice but at Kyma the tasting menu was a combination of things on the regular menu that you get to choose. The food was FANTASTIC the service was EXCELLENT! We need to go back ASAP.

Kyma is wonderful. They have great food, great cocktails and outstanding service. Need to order the lamb pie.

We have dined here for years… ever since we get opened. At $54 each, the Aegean is a great way to go as you get small portions of four spreads and pita, your choice of fish, salad and two sides with just a couple of restrictions. Special occasion will include a complimentary tasting of three desserts. After many years dining here, they continue to offer consistently good food and service in a very pleasant space.

The food was very good on taste but resembled tapas sized portions. The menu was high priced for the amount of food served. We had a party of six and all agreed that the portions were small for the price paid.

I made reservations for a business dinner. The party was about 10 people. We let the the server guide us-- he was so knowledgeable. We went with family style service so We could try everything ! From lamb chops to lamb cheek to 3 types of whole roasted fish- spanakopita to the most amazing Greek feta and tomato salad... I am missing so much more ---the food was EXCELLENT, my clients and colleagues were very impressed!

My family and I spent 9 wonderful days in Greece at the beginning of June 2017. While in Atlanta we thought we might try to revive some Greek love and tried Kyma. When we walked in, the hostess gave us a look of disdain - my husband was in shorts and my son was in a tank top. She said we could eat on the patio but not in the restaurant. Since it was my fault for not checking the dress code, I submitted to this. What a mistake - it was way too hot and humid. My son, a huge lover of saganaki, ordered two. They arrived at the table literally swimming in lemon juice. He had saganaki all over Greece and they always brought the lemon out so you could put as much as you wanted. He tried one and then refused to eat the rest. The spreads as an appetizer were not bad - not fantastic but not bad. The spicy lamp pie was not spicy and was only so so. My lemon chicken was awful. I sent it back after one small bite. The prawns were good but it is pretty hard to mess up shrimp. Of course at $7.50 per shrimp you kind of want them to sing and dance while you eat them which I assure you they did not. I will not feel the need to return to this version of Greece.

I came in last night with my family of 5. We had a reservation and waited about 5 minutes for our table which is fine. We had great drinks made by bartender Ashkon who introduced us to a new beer (crazy donkey). I had a watermelon martini (it had a different name). It was good! We ordered apps and my recommendation is the lamb pie which can feed 3 as an app. Eli and Hakan were our servers and they were very attentive. For dinner we shared a 2lb bronzino which was enough for 3 people. I ordered a Greek salad as a side which came with a huge chuck of feta. We loved our experience and will be back.

My wife and I had been planning to get to Kyma for several weeks now, finally decided to do it, made a reservation and then realized it was Mother's Day. From past experiences I remembered that Mother's Day like other holidays is not a good time to dine out, but since we had planned to do it , we did it. The result was excellent, we had a relatively early (11:30) time and even then the restaurant was reasonably busy, but we were seated as requested in the quietest spot (I am hearing impaired),on time etc. We were in every respect happy with the Mother's Day fixed menu which included three appetizers, in our case Spanokopita, Seafood Stew and Lobster Morsels, choice of entrees of which we selected Sea Bass, three sample size desserts for each of us. All in all very nice, plus bread and olive oil and olives on the table at all times. We also had a Romaine based Salad of ample size for two which was very good. Our server Silviya was perfect, was aware of my hearing issues and spoke clearly and in perfect English. She didn't miss a beat even when the restaurant got busier. We will return when we have access to the full menu, would like to try the Lamb Chops and a couple of the fresh fish. The Sea Bass by the way was fresh and perfectly prepared.

Fantastic! hadn't been back in many years- and really happy the place has kept up its amazing quality. Very authentic. Delicious

We drive by this spot probably once a day for the last 3 years and finally decided to stop by on a weekday night for a meal. Upon walking in, the vibe and ambiance of the place were really good. The tables aren’t jammed together giving us some privacy. The things you notice, or at least I do. Our server was a guy named Rudy. He was awesome to put it simply. One thing that stood out was how he handled an adult beverage my better half ordered. She wasn’t a fan of it. Unsolicited, he jumped in and brought two other options out and one of those was a winner. We’ve actually never experienced such proactive thinking. I was very impressed. Now for the food! Everything was done as you’d expect. Flavorful & nice presentation, what else can you ask for. We ordered the three appetizers and a whole fish for two which I’d recommend if it’s your first time. No negatives to mention really. We’d go back for sure. I guess it’s fair to say that you would have to be into seafood at this spot. Lots of options from the seas of the world. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

The service was good but the food is not really that good for the price paid $316 for four people without drinks and two shared appetizers and the flavor was terrible

We have dined at Kyma for 20 years--as a couple, with family, with friends. Kyma always delights with very fresh food cooked in traditional fashion as well as with a creative touch. This family business remains committed to quality and service. The Kyma bar is a treat unto its own; we have often just enjoyed having a cocktail and small plates instead of a full meal. Table staff are well versed in each food on the menu and attentive. I love that each prepared dish is brought out by staff from the kitchen--plated beautifully and served to you just as it is finished. A very nice touch. If the sommelier were to come out to serve wine at the table every now and again, and converse a bit with the diners, that would be the ultimate.

The service was great, wine delicious, and the food amazing. As a party of four, we ordered different appetizers and split them. All four were delicious. I had a salmon like fish for my entree and a friend had the lamb. Her lamb was remarkably better than my fish. We went out with a bang splitting four dessert and they did not disappoint!

Went last Friday as a recommendation by a merchant in Buckhead. We live nearby and decided to give it a chance. We love Greek food btw. First, let me begin by saying that the bright spot in the entire dinner was our server Nikko! He was attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating even, wrote down my wine choice for my use later. Since it was a new wine for me, he even said that if we came back my wine preference would be on file! Now for the bad: We had a 5:30 reservation(Kyma opens at 5:30); we were there 5:25. We entered restaurant and hostess said we had to wait and could sit in the bar area. Okay we are accustomed to that. The staff was still having their pre-dinner meeting. The bartender was still setting up and didn’t even acknowledge us until we were finally seated about 15 minutes later. “Enjoy your meal he says as we leave”. The entire restaurant was empty except for us and the hostess proceeded to sit us near the bathroom and in the sight line of both the kitchen AND the bathroom. When we asked for another table she motioned for us to choose. We chose one near the window and she immediately said it was reserved. There was no reserved sign on it or any other. We chose one adjacent to it. No one took our coats and it was observed that it was done for others (?). Might I add we were dressed business casual. On to the meal: grilled octopus was cooked to perfection as was the prawns and grouper. The portion sizes were great and the food was served timely. However, our first course was shoved onto our tabletop aggressively clanking silverware and plates this was done by a waitstaff, not Nikko. We responded under our breath “that was kinda rude”. We think Nikko must have heard us as we saw that guy no more at our table and was subsequently served by a more mellow waitstaff. Finally, the valet brought the wrong vehicle........🤣🤣🤣🤣. Oh well, should we go back?

Everything we ate was good, from fish, vegetables and traditional Greek dishes with cheeses and spinach. One of. our group was vegetarian and ordered many of the available vegetarian dishes. The easiest thing to do is order tapas-style and share. We were surprised at how reasonable the tab was, as we also enjoyed wine with our meal.

Lauren at the octopus lounge is an absolutely gem. She takes pride in her trade and is not just a bartender. We have always loved this place. Pano, the Executive Chef, takes a personal approach to making sure we have a great time along with the amazing food.

We've been here four times. Beautiful modern coastal atmosphere. Delicious mousaka, octopus, whole fish, traditional greek salad and great service. Now here's why I give Kyma an average score. Each time I or someone in our group has ordered the calamari and or the giant prawns, they have been terribly over salted to the point where you can't enjoy the seafood at all. I understand this happening maybe once but not over and over again. Someone needs to pay more attention in the kitchen so that we can taste the food not the salt.

The service was well below expectations. In fact it would be considered poor for most restaurants. We ordered an appetizer sampler with a whole fish. The four appetizers were supposed to be coursed followed by the fish. The first appetizer came as expected, followed by the second about 20 minutes later. Thirty minutes later the fish came. It was room temperature, after complaining to the waiter two additional appetizers came while we were eating the fish. Neither appetizer was as described in the menus The fish was well prepared and would have been excellent if was served warm. A 25 percent adjustment was made to the bill, but we still had to wait several minutes after we finished eating to pay. As this restaurant claims to feature excellent service and food the experience was disappointing to say the least.

Decent vibe. The white and bright blue colors channel the Mediterranean for sure. However, it needs a little updating. It's expensive, but worth it. It's an older crowd, but I suspect that is due to the prices. The weight staff was magnificent! The food was spectacular! Very flavorful. I feel in love with the wine that we selected and will be finding it for our own collection.

My wife and I seen a great review from Atlanta eats on Kyma restaurant. We have both agreed it is not as good as it was made out to be. Service was just the same as the food and for the price we won't be going back nor recommending to any of our food groupies. All the food that had the olive oil with olives overwhelmed the taste of the food. We tried the octopus(could not taste the octipus) and sea bass. Even the kale that came out with the main course was over whelming with the oil and olive taste and so salty the taste hung with me until the next day. This Greek food was a first for me to try and I didn't know of anything to compare it to. But my wife has been in Greece many of times and she even stopped eating it because the seasoning flovars and saltiness was to much. Sorry to say it was such a terrible first experience for me. We will not be returning. You won't be seeing this chef on any TV series of beat Bobby flay or Iron chefs anytime soon. Marty

We ordered Dips and Octopus, dips arrived, small but great flavor profile! Asked for more pita, received 6 triangles for $6! Server more obsessed about talking about his specials than taking our first drink order. Forgot to order our octopus. Cocktails were delivered after apps!! Ridiculous. Asked for wine list.ordered food, main course, salads arrived with entree, wine arrived after entrees delivered! Lousy service, lamb pasta was globs of stringy lamb. Friends enjoyed snapper! It used to be a great place! Oh, no music or ambiance! Won’t bother again

I was wearing shorts, sneakers and a collared t-shirt. We don't have a dress code at work. I didn't want to change during the week. Party of 6. The 3 other adults were dressed nice. Although the place was not full, they sit us at the patio due to my khaki shorts, 84 degrees. Try to eat fish in the dark. Greek wine is not drinkable. The service was nice.

A Greek seafood restaurant which serves a delicious meal. We are not familiar with Greek wines, but the sommelier helped us find a very nice wine. We shared the watermelon salad, the scallops appetizer, and then a whole Dover sole. All were delicious and presented beautifully. We finished with a half order of Greek doughnuts. We had a discount card with the summer dine-around and it was also half price wine night -- so we had a total of $52 off our meal. If we had paid full price, I would have thought it was outrageous. But with the discount, it was well worth it. As I said -- a wonderful meal.

All four of us thought the menu was a little confusing, until our waiter gave us useful advise. I ordered three appetizer portions as my entree and was very pleasantly surprised : the scallops ( just enough and tasty), wrapped grape leaves ( best I have ever had, ANYWHERE!) and the eggplant "stew" - this was a little gooey but still good- not great. My other guests seemed to greatly enjoy their char, snapper and lamb entrees. The Greek honey doughnuts were outstanding!

A Tuesday night in Atlanta. 12 Business people out for a final dinner. Tacky blue stoned panther greets you at the door followed by pretentious dress code Nazis. Food mediocre at best. Never again.

Great restaurant. FYI- be prepared for $2 valet. Had a lot of appetizers. Enjoyed the tatziki. The menu online here on tripadvisor is not up to date. The actual restaurant did not have the "greek fries" or taramasalata that we really wanted. The oysters were very unique and flavorful. The lamb cheeks were divine- super tender in a flavorful tomato based sauce. The lamb pie was delicious - very meaty and flavorful. The lobster pastichio was only okay. Not quite hot but the taste was good. It had macaroni, cauliflower and bechemel sauce. Overall very good. Service was good. Of note, our waiter had another table behind us that he fawned over - lots of attention, suggestions, and free appetizers. Slightly annoying to not get similar attention. We don't need the free apps but it would have been nice to have a little more sincerity and attention.

We have enjoyed Kyma for several years. It is a fine dining destination for amazing Greek Creations. Grilled Octopus is a favorite starter. Lamb chops are very nice size with fantastic flavor. If you are looking for fine dining but something different, Kyma is your place!

While this may be a chain, this Atlanta restaurant was a super place for dinner to me. I was invited to go to dinner by a business group that my colleague consults with. My reference for the food that was chosen is based on my experiences in Athens, Greece during vacations there. Every item ordered as a group was excellent. Very fresh fish, top quality sea bass. Appetizers were very pleasing to see as well as tasty although I don't know the names of everything ordered. I was simply amazed at the whole experience and was lucky to be there with these friends! Service was excellent, very nice with knowledge of every thing we were eating. I must take my wife there the next time we travel through Atlanta from Clemson. One of the very best culturally authenic meals I have experienced. My top recommendation!!

I have visited Kyma several times over the last 5 years, the last time I was there the food was still excellent but the clientele had changed to a much younger crowd. It was different, the service was still good but it was just a bit more rowdy than prior visits.

This is the third time we've been here. This Greek restaurant greets you with a fresh fish display like one would have in Greece except this place is more chique than a simple Greek restaurant. We did have an Icelandic char with braised kale and eggplant. All were perfect and delicious. We filled up on meza's and had char for dinner the night after. The small plates are wonderful and filling in their own right. Love the grilled octopus, pita and different spreads. Staff are friendly and valet is easy. I would recommend this place. We had an anniversary baklava which was perfectly flaky, sweet, and sticky.

The Chef is expert with fresh fish prepared properly. Enjoy the actual fish without all the dressing. This is definitely fish prepared as Greeks have done for years. the selection of side dishes complements the main course, and the wine list is universal.

Having to wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time, it was a natural to suggest when friends asked where I would like to go for my birthday. I knew nothing about it except from what I had seen passing it on Piedmont Road, so I investigated its Web site and studied the menu before we went and I am glad that I did because the menu is extensive and it is quite concentrated on several food groups, especially seafood. We arrived near to its opening on a Saturday night after navigating extremely heavy traffic in the area and having great difficulty in locating the entrance. As early guests, we found a vast room with many tables as close as possible together and we were seated at the most farther in the room, coincidentally adjacent to the aisle leading to the facilities. I thought of Ruth Reichl's experiences as food critic for the New York Times and what she said about where dinner guests were placed. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant location and, soon, other guests appeared to fill in the empty room. The staff was prompt, efficient, and helpful. My friends and I chose two of meze plates (grilled octopus, scallops with a sauce) from the four tiers of meze plates offered. The octopus was good, but a little tough; the scallops were delicious. For entrées, my friends had halibut and lobster. I had the lamb pie, shredded lamb in filo dough with yogurt. It was delicious. For dessert, my friends had the special of the night, a berry and custard concoction, and I had baklava with coffee ice cream. Most of the food was excellent. As much as I liked the food and the service at Kyma, there was an absence of atmosphere. The restaurant is a great big room. Walking in the front door, there is a bar to the right (I don't know how big it is) and that big room to the left. Facing it, all along the wall are little lamps, ending inconclusively in a darkened area at the rear where we sat. I can't remember what was on the opposite wall---mirrors, a few lamps---something that obviously didn't stand out. There is nothing charming. I'm hardly aware that I'm in a GREEK restaurant. It is just a big place to eat good food. (And, spend a lot of money.)

We decided to try Kyma and we were pleasantly surprised! We arrived on a rainy night and were immediately greeted with valet parking, which we didn't mind! The interior is beautifully decorated. I decided on the Arctic Char entree and my husband chose the Lamb Chops. Both were amazingly delicious. The Arctic Char simply melted in my mouth! I was a bit disappointed in the accompaniments offered with the Arctic Char for the price paid. We did order a side of brussel sprouts and had to send them back because they were tasteless. We then asked for their eggplant stew and it was perfectly prepared and loaded with flavor. Do try Kyma for an experience that is sure to please!

We chose a couple of fun drinks to start off and the Morpheus was the best gin martini - no, cocktail - I have ever had! I was really excited about the mention of octopus on the menu, and wood fired no less, as I have eaten wonderful octopus recently at Floataway. The appetizers (mezze) all sounded so good, we decided on a dinner for the table allowing us 4 appetizers (yes, for even just 2 people) and a whole fish to share. They brought you out the appetizers one at a time, which was a lovely way to enjoy a meal.Loved the lamb with risotto especially, but the calamari pasta and wood fired octopus were a big disappointment. The octopus were a few thick slices of tentacle drowned in a thin but tasty sauce, accompanied by olives, which my husband and I dislike, This dish was not very hot and the texture and flavor were nothing special. The fish we first selected, our waitress came back and told us it was sold out. We chose a different fish, which tasted good, but it was really small, like about 8" from lip to tail. Tasted good and was cooked to perfection. I loved the photos around the restaurant, the display of fish, as well as the gorgeous octopus sculpture. However, one of their signature attractions - the wood fired octopus - was a real let down. For the price point for a dinner for two, I expected more.

What a wonderful evening we had at Kyma. I was celebrating my work anniversary and we enjoyed our evening from the very first moment when we were greeted by the beautiful hostess. Our server was excellent and the food, with his help in the recommendations, was outstanding! Our server also recommended an excellent bottle of wine from Greece. I would try a wine from the region. I would highly recommend this place.

Went to eat at this establishment with wife and both of us fell in love with all the food. Great portions and flavorful appetizers and main course. Even had dessert something we normally don't get.

Very highly recommended restaurant. We have been dining at various good restaurants in atlanta and some how we missed this one although it has been there for about 18 yrs or so. Everything we ordered was done to perfection. We had the red pepper spread, the octopus and the scallop mezzos and the bronzino fish. I think this is the best grilled octopus I have ever had. It comes with a hefty price but I think it is worth it. Make sure to try their Uzzo with lemon drink.

Kyma is a Buckhead go to for upscale Greek. The service is solid, and the food is pretty good. It’s not anything to write home about, but is a good go-to if you’re looking for a consistent meal, especially for fresh Greek seafood.

I went here for my 10 yr anniversary. The place is beautiful and staff was friendly. We had the Article Char which was delicious but took a very long time to be served. They bring out the different side dishes which were excellent but for some reason our fish took over 30min to come out after we finished our sides. I would come again with a larger crowd. It's a bit expensive.

Very nice place. The customer service was great. We had dinner with the summer dine around program. The food was exceptional. The bar service was great.

We went with friends to apparently one of the best Greek restaurants in town. Service was good, attentive staff at the bar while waiting for the table. When moved to the table the staff was slightly slower as the restaurant was full. A couple of our orders were missed but nothing tragic. Food was just ok with the exception of pasticio that was not good at all. Salads were great and wine ok. Desert we almost left, as it wasn’t what we know from other Greek restaurants.

In a beautiful, tastefully appointed and lighted, space, Kyma delivers a superior dining experience. After a satisfying glass of Greek pinot noir, I shared an order of Spanakopita (Spinach Pie) with my companion. It was melt-in-your-mouth good. My main course was a pound of Tsipoura, which the server translated to Branzino. It was so fresh, perfectly filleted, elegantly presented and delicious. Dessert was the Chocolate Lava Cake, which also hit a high note. Service was slow but competent.

This was the worst experience of my life. We were treated horribly by the manager, Taylor Fehl as well as his staff that were at the front to greet us. They are racist and treated us differently because of the color of our skin. They told us we had to sit out in the back away from everyone. It was horrible. The only reason I stayed was because we were celebrating our friend's birthday and she had her baby and elderly mother with her. They don't care that they're racist either. No one even bothered to respond to us they delete our comments off of social media. We have yet to receive an apology. I will never visit this place again. If I could give this place zero stars I would!

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for date night. The food was impeccable! I love that the restaurant had a separate vegan and vegetarian menu! My husband had the lamb chops with Greek fries. We both shared the pita bread with olive spread for an appetizer. I decided to get a few appetizers (Tuscan kale, lemon potatoes, and brussel sprouts). We both order the Athena’s Secret cocktail (pomegranate vodka, pineapple, and pomegranate). Along with the amazing food the decorations were beautiful! Our waitress Phacharawat was very nice and super helpful. This by far was the best restaurant experience we’ve had!

The food is good and the menu is creative. But the appetizer portions are tiny. My entree came out 5 minutes after the others in our group and the sauce was so hot I really couldn’t eat until others were done. Maybe we just ordered wrong and I would go back just not for a while.

The restaurant is well-decorated, and the server was nice. We went to eat seafood, and the fish and lobster were cooked well. The olive oil, lemon, and caper sauce is perfect with the seafood. However, when we first asked for the lobster, the server said it was sold out, and when asked to check again, it was revealed that there were still two lobsters left, which was a bizarre situation. The grilled octopus and the table spread of dishes are incredibly delicious. The baklava had a lot of cinnamon, but the other desserts are tasty. This restaurant is on the pricier side.

Pulled in the lot let my passengers out (I drive lyft sometimes) as I’m getting ready to turn out of the lot I notice a guy waving his arms and seemingly talking loud (I assumed he was trying to get my attention maybe he was trying to flag me down because a passenger left something in my car or something else) I rolled my window down asked “hey I’m sorry what did you say my windows were up” and literally about to ask was everything ok..he cut me off told me to get the F off the property…I WAS CONFUSED which he could tell because he proceeds to tell me again to get the F off the property I stated I’m just Lyft driver and I’m leaving out (i was literally on the property 2 mins) he said yeah well I’m valet GET THE F OFF THE PROPERTY and he added N* GGER this time he called me a N* GGER.. I couldn’t even speak I was in shock. He proceeds to tell me he has HIS OFFICERS ON THE PROPERTY AND HE WOULD CALL THEM TO GET ME THR F OUT OF THERE. I wasn’t parked on the property there wasn’t as like infront or behind me I WAS CONFUSED. He then gets in a car honks the horn long and drives off! I call the restaurant and alert them a woman says I’m sorry that happened and that he doesn’t work for the restaurant he valets for them through a company…I ask the company name she acts as if she doesn’t know I ask her the valet guys name she states she does know but will get the company name and places me on hold the call says transferring the ends. I call back she gives me company name I google the company name no # I call the restaurant back NO ANSWER!

Fantastic change from the usual Greek. This is one of several restaurants that this local group owns and they all seem to be top shelf. Fish dishes as you would imagine are the way to go. Although 1 person in my party had the lamb chops that were very tender and cooked to his linking. The appetizer are also fantastic. We tried the fried lobster, Mussels and the zucchini fritters all excellent. Wine selection for Greek wines only was interesting. Service was very on point for a Sunday Evening dining. Nice place for casual tapas too.

My husband requested Kyma for his birthday dinner. Kyma never disappoints! We enjoyed the calamari appetizer, the Salt-encrusted whole fish (Sea bass) with Greek fries and kale. Yum!! Fish is presented to your table after cooking and then taken to the kitchen and filleted. Brought back on a beautiful platter for serving with the side dishes. It was delicious! For the birthday treat, we ordered the baklava. The food was magnificent. The atmosphere of the dining room was fabulous ( socially distanced). The wait staff very attentive! We highly recommend Kyma, especially for special occasions.

If you are looking for an authentic Greek Restaurant then this is the place. This is by far one of the best ones we have tried to date(we have tried many). The portion sizes are somewhat on the small end and the prices are somewhat on the high end. The waitress was very knowledgeable and the ambiance is very cozy and relaxing. All of the dishes that we had were well prepared and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in search for a unique Mediterranean dining experience. Just keep in mind you may have to have a light post meal afterwards due to the small portion sizes

I was there this past Thursday. We were sitting at the patio. We have done it in the past and the service was great. Not this time. Our waiter was fine, but food runners in white aprons were obnoxious. One almost crashed my wine glass, tossed pita bread on the table - bread ended up spilling all over the table - and walked away without a word. It prompted my guest to ask me why the staff looks so angry. I hope that this was just a one time incident. We really enjoyed our food. Maybe next time we will try the table inside...

We had not been to Kyma for several years, so we were excited to check it out again. The atmosphere is outstanding and service was good. Unfortunately, the food at Kyma is not on par with the other Buckhead life restaurants. We started with the sauteed calamari, which was a minuscule amount of food and looked like tiny rubber bands. Unfortunately, it tasted like rubber bands too. Next was the Lobster morsels, which were amazing. We noticed a great looking filet of fish at the table next to us and asked our server what it was. She indicated it was the salted whole red snapper, so we quickly ordered the same. The salt-covered whole fish was presented to us at our table before it was taken back to the kitchen to be filleted. When they brought it back, it looked nothing like the fish our neighbors got. I asked about it, but was assured it was the same fish and same preparation. Each bit tasted saltier than the previous one and it felt like we were eating salt covered with a bit of fish. It was not good, as no amount of squeezed lemon could offset the overpowering salt. So - overall a bad night for us at Kyma. My advice would be to avoid the sauteed calamari and salt-covered fish and try other dishes on the menu. Or better yet, just go to Bistro Niko or Chops, which are fabulous every time.

I've been here three times now, and I've enjoyed all three trips. The wine list is solid and each food item I've tried has been well above average. If you like Greek food, give Kyma a shot.

Authentic Greek coastal dining. Only the freshest fish. Beautiful restaurant. A+ wait staff. Experiment and try something new. Also really great Mediterranean wine list

We go to Kyma to celebrate special days, our birthday, our anniversary and just when we want to share a few appetizers. It is our first choice in this group of restaruants. Don't miss excellent service, great meals

Six of us dined at KYMA this week for dinner and the entire experience was perfect. Our food, service, and the space were exactly as expected from this high-end restaurant group. Parking is valet at the door (enter the lot from the side street.) Each of us ordered a range of small dishes and full meals, and we loved every dish. I had the skate fish with root vegetables and it was excellent. I also tried a very nice white Greek wine recommended by the barman. It was so good I had a second glass. I do not remember the name, but trust the bar for recommendations.

Great atmosphere and service was good. Dinner was ok. We found it very salty. Probably would not go back.

An amazing experience from beginning to end. The valid parking attenants were very nice and respectful. We sat at the bar until our table was ready. Great drinks and vibe. Our host were amazing. Vana and Andrew were the greatest and timing from appetizers to main course was impeccable. The Stone Crab, Octopus, and Scallops were all fantastic appetizers. You must try the Octopus though!! The sauce was so good!!! The Lavraki is a must if you like a meaty, boneless fish, fileted to perfection. My son had the Lamb chops and was ready to order another round as they were that good. Cooked just right and the aroma was very good. My daughter had the Lobster pasta. Huge chunks of Lobster. For dessert we had the Baklava. Great taste with the honey and walnuts. Overall, great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant

We chose Kyma because we wanted something good and I was impressed that they had a separate vegetarian menu. The standard menu made me see an obvious pretense: pricing their grilled fish by the pound at 40 and 48 dollars when most fish will weigh over 1 pound. When we were given the menu, it was confusing because the mezes are grouped under price categories. On a la carte menus, I am used to seeing items grouped under ‘appetizer’, ‘entrée’, ‘small plates’, ‘meat’, ‘fish’, but never under price category. I thought that all the items under a price came to the table for that price because I am used to seeing each serving priced separately on an a la carte menu. But, no, each meze alone is served for that price. The menu seemed price-driven rather than cuisine-driven. After we were seated, Kyma immediately began demonstrating its cheapness by serving us bread with a puddle of olive oil that was inexpensive, cooking-grade Greek olive oil. Greece makes some wonderful olive oils, especially the Cretan oils. Nobody expects a $40/bottle oil as the dip (it would be nice) but serving us their bulk kitchen oil was a low blow, for starters. The bread was also mediocre. For meze, we had the eggplant stew, which was very tasty and had good, complex flavors. The dolmathes were also flavorful, especially for being meatless and they were served on a sauce that tasted of hummus with a very pronounced fresh lemon taste, as in lemon oil or zest. The lemony character also made it noticeably tart. I enjoyed it because the citrus taste made it unique; others may find it sour. It complemented the mildness of the dolmathes. The spanikopita was bland. The brussels sprouts were very flavorful and perfectly cooked, not mushy. My caramelized fennel ($19) was the size of a hockey puck but the puck probably has more taste. The sauce and garnish contributed all of the taste. If this is the best you can do with fennel, don’t offer it to me. Some chefs, such as Chef Paquette of Etch in Nashville, understand vegetables and can make them more delicious than even your favorite meat dish; but this is not the case here. My dining companion wanted to try the grilled fish and, at the time, I forgot about my mistrust of the way the fish was priced. Sure enough, when we got the bill, the fish was 1.5 pounds, which came to $60, about ½ of our bill. Good way to conceal a $60 entrée, eh? Even the steaks at Kyma are priced at “8 oz. for $40”, for example, and you don’t see any steak on the menu for $60, perhaps because they wouldn’t sell many of them. But they can sell a lousy grilled fish for $60 because they price it down to the pound and therefore under-represent its cost. Sneaky. Why was the fish ‘lousy’? My dining companion wanted a flaky fish, something light, but told me that the fish was ‘mushy’ not ‘flaky’, and tasteless, as well. I tried it. When seafood is frozen, thawed and frozen again, it turns mushy and becomes tasteless, like our fish. Although the menu says fresh, the FDA has no definition or standards regarding the label ‘fresh’. It is whatever the vendor says it is. In my opinion, the sea bass had been frozen. Perhaps more than once. The menu says that the fish will be filleted and it was, but not expertly. One should always tolerate some pin bones left when a fish is filleted, but this fish had close to two dozen pin bones left in it when it was served and the companion gave up and left one third uneaten. Also, when ordering a grilled fish, we expect to enjoy a crisp skin. This fish was basted, as per the menu, but in a way that left the skin soggy. Finally, the menu does not inform that the fish will be served with the head on. My dining companion is very sensitive about fish-with-heads. We thought about sending it back but did not want the skin to lose its crispness; we should not have been concerned about that. To recapitulate, we paid $60 for a mushy, possibly frozen, grilled fish with soggy skin that had no taste and plenty of pin bones. The mezze we had can all be prepared in bulk, ahead of time, by routine. I suspect there is no senior chef in the kitchen, just cooks following routines. The two entrees support this opinion in the poor and haphazard ways they were prepared and/or plated. In my opinion, every night at Kyma is amateur’s night. Atlanta is a food town, but not a ‘foodie’ town, such as Asheville is. Atlanta is prosperous enough that it is being invaded by ‘restaurant groups’, each group having 5 or 6 restaurants, each marketed to ‘capture’ a dining ‘niche’, such as ‘BBQ’, ‘Greek’, ‘steakhouse’, ‘French’, ‘wine bar’, and such, and each has a figurehead ‘chef’ with the proper credentials and who has good publicists in touch with the local magazines, but they all seem to be run by semiskilled labor for the sole purpose of making money and advancing careers. I find no artistry among them, and such I find Kyma. In my opinion Kyma proves its worthlessness by its strong insistence on a dress code to try to maintain the illusion of an upscale dining room. Kyma cannot maintain this value through its kitchen so it tries to boost its image with a high, undeserved, price point and bickering with underdressed patrons in order to present an image consistent with their marketing attempts. disclaimer: it is not my intent to promote or injure the restaurant Kyma or its operators. I am not a food critic and the above is solely my opinion based on only one visit and reading others’ experiences.

We first went to Kyma last fall as refugees from Hurricane Mathew, while staying at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. This year we fled from Hurricane Irma and stayed with friends in Smyrna. We had had such an excellent experience last year we decided to give it another go and hope for not only the same experience this year, but the same luck in dodging the hurricane bullet. And we did. Among the dishes we ordered with our friends were the scallop appetizer, the saganaki, the eggplant stew, the lamb chops and one of their whole fish entrees. All very good to excellent. The service was good, as well. The total bill for all of our foursome, including drinks and a bottle of wine (1/2 off), came to $225 plus tip. They offer valet parking as well, which makes the dining experience even more convenient. If you enjoy authentic Greek food, give Kyma a try.

I'm not a huge seafood fan, but I was very impressed with Kyma! We tried the traditional table spreads (yogurt, cucumber, and dill, roasted red peppers and feta, and eggplant caviar and walnuts), served with flatbread; the beet sorbet; the lemon chicken with fork mashed Nafplio potatoes, pickled garden tomatoes, and honey braised Cipollini onions; and the lobster pasta. I really enjoyed the feta! Want to see even more delicious food? Follow @datethisplate on Instagram for more reviews and plates you will want to date!

We had a reservation and were seated promptly when we arrived. Our waitress, Ava, explained the menu and made several helpful suggestions. We decided on the tasting menu with a shared entree of trout. All the food was good - and served at the right temperature. Service was prompt but unobtrusive, and we never felt rushed. We’d happily eat here again.

We participate in the Buckhead Dine Around Program every summer and, by far, Kyma is our favorite spot. Their tomato salad is worth going for alone even if you have nothing else. We started with the ahi tuna tartare and then shared the Side of Arctic Char cooked from the bottom up. Delicious! We couldn't resist the dessert trio sampler even though we rarely order dessert. It was a treat with the donut and baklava being our favorites. The service was exceptional. They were not short staffed nor were they plagued with uninformed staff with attitude. A welcome change from many local restaurants these days. We also want to give a shout out to the management for enforcing their dress code. While we were there, we observed two men approach the reception desk looking as if they just came off the beach. No reservation (or they would have been told about the dress code). In any case, they were turned away. If we wanted to dine with people in a hamburger joint, we would have chosen a different venue. Thank you to Kyma for maintaining some decorum. We love eating at Kyma. It is reliably good every time.

We had the tasting menu and were happy with most of the dishes; however, the lamb was billed as a lamb meatball, but it was more like a sausage and tasted so. The staff was friendly and we had a nice table. Our waiter was more attentive to people who were purchasing expensive wine (which we were not), and that left me a little flat about the restaurant. Overall, it was good food and a good experience.

Service here was outstanding but what really stood out was the octopus and the broiled Tsipouro which was cooked perfectly, not greasy and delicious. The only negative was the Saganaki. It didn't come out flaming (which is one of the best parts), it was cold and there was no bread served with it. We had a very nice time here and would definitely go back as this may be 1 of the best Buckhead Life restaurants.

This was our second time dining at Kyma for a special occasion dinner (this time it was my daughter’s birthday). We had the Aegean special with 4 dip mezze, marinated grilled octopus and lamb pie (this recipe beat Bobby Flay) for appetizers. All were outstanding! The lavraki (European seabass) was very good, and was accompanied by a marinated tomato and cucumber Greek salad, sautéed kale, and lemon potatoes. My husband ordered the lamb chops with Brussels sprouts. Our meal was finished off with complementary baklava and ice cream for my daughter’s birthday. The food was absolutely wonderful! The only suggestion i woukd make is to serve pitted olives, otherwise, excellent! And, our server, Marko, was very knowledgeable and professional. He made sure our experience was top notch. In this day and age where customer service is lacking, it’s nice to see that there are still some people that deliver excellent customer service. Thank you, Marko, for making our dinner so special!

The restaurant is consistently great, however we were trying all the appetizers with no serving spoons. This was throughout the meal for 3 hours we had to ask for serving spoons. How awkward to try to taste beet salad, then watermelon salad, the tomatoes, the hummus platter etc. without a serving spoon with any dish? What am I missing? Oh yea serving spoons!!!!!! the guys behind us were impressed that every time they got up to use the restroom they got a new napkin. I wanted to say, "Hey can I borrow some of those"? I have to wipe off my personal fork. Recommend the fish and lamb chops and all desserts. Get the donuts not the Greek yogurt with honey cause you don't need a serving spoon. Use your fingers!!!!!

Our favorite dinner! Loved the food, wine, service and atmosphere. We would highly recommend this location!

Service was delightful. Food was very good. Ambiance was just okay. Parking was reasonably priced valet. Overall, a nice evening out.

Food was excellent. The server was not engaged with service. He delivered an unacceptable glass of wine from pre-opened bottle that was undrinkable. He took it back and replaced it without apologizing or comping the drink. Although he attended to our questions when asked, the answers he gave were rushed. I would say the service felt mediocre, not up to the standards of the food itself or the expense of the meal.

Hard to beat this for a business dinner recommendation. Food variety is broad enough and unique and ticks just about anyone's high end expectations. Dont miss the woodfire grilled octopus Service is excellent, measured, attentive, start to finish. Weather you are hosting or recommending to someone picking up the tabl from out of town, either of you will be glad you chose Kyma.

Arrived in ATL after a long day at the airport. It was a Wednesday so I was hoping for an open table and a fine dining experience. Kyma was just that. quickly was able to secure a table and get there by 7pm. I was a little underdressed, (hopefully the host saw my desperation in my eyes). We were met by Chris a pleasant and efficient server. I started with the watermelon & feta cheese appetizer. GREAT!! and my girlfriend had the eggplant spread EXCELLENT. The setting was wonderful, mostly a mature crowd, no children or teens seen. A little stuffy but I was up for it, I wanted fish, but since I got less than a pound the fish was selected for me. You have the option of choosing your fish, displayed on ice at the front of the restaurant; if over 2 pounds. The Food was tasty, drinks were sufficient and thus.....a successful night at Kyma. I would definitely go again.

Went there with some friends and despite my reluctance for small plates we ordered multiple different items and each one was as magnificent as the next. We ended up trying so many different things yet never got that bloated, "I overate" feeling. One of the best meals I have had in a long time and this will definitely be a go to place whenever I get to Atlanta. The service was also excellent with the perfect balance of being visible and invisible at the same time. Congrats to the owner and staff for one marvelous meal.

This was the second time I visited this restaurant as a single diner while on a business trip. The food is beautifully presented and prepared. While the focus is seafood, there are a large number of Greek mezes to try. Those that I tried were authentic and flavorful. The service was excellent. I am a well-travelled and discerning diner. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Kyma was a wonderful experience. From the moment you walk in, greeted by mosaic wall art and a fabulous display of whole fresh fish, you feel as if you are not in Atlanta anymore. The grilled octopus was exquisite. The Lavraki (Bronzino) was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented with head and tail. The quinoa salad and kale were excellent choices as well. Our server was very attentive and personable. Loved everything about my evening here.

I love the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant. I found the portion sizes to be too small to share as offered. Its a nice date restaurant, but I have no reason to rush back.

Been waiting to go here, since I had ro cancel an Aug reservation. Have seen other reviews and a youtube review that showcased the restaurant. Kim was our waitress and could tell we needed a little help. Told her I heard the grilled octopus appetizer was a must and she agreed. It showed up and wow was it delicious. Astrong charcoal grilling taste that made it just wonderful. We quickly devoured that and ordered the lamb pie appetizer. The meat was very tasty and not very spicy(they called it spicy lamb). Tom and I both ordered the halibut specialty. It was served different from what I am used to. It usually is served pan fried with some sauce. Kyma served it where it was very light (not sure if they steamed it) but it was moist and flaky and came with a sauce..Very tasty. They had a lamb shank that I may have to get on my next visit. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake but they serve some wonderful greek pastries. I'm just a chocolate nut. Wrapping up, you can't go wrong with a visit to Kyma. The food is quality and it is a nice change from your typical chop house

Very pleasant surprise in our area. As a pescetarian, there were many many tasty, surprising, beautifully presented options. Service was fast (could have veen warmer?) and the wine pairings were good. Will definitely return.

Celebrating a special occasion, we selected Kyma which was the perfect restaurant and now part of a wonderful memory all the more special for us. We felt very welcomed upon arrival, and although early, we were promptly seated. Some restaurants are so noisy as the evening picks-up, but this was not the case. The atmosphere was very pleasing and you could easily converse. We soon discovered that the chef won a "throw down" with Chef Bobby Flay - that's when we knew this is going to be great! We selected the Meza Dinner tasting experience which included complimentary spreads, appetizers (we upgraded and thrilled we did), and a split entre' selection. This was more than enough food for a party of two. The tuna tartare and signature octopus were by far the favorite of the night -- you MUST try them! Although a little disappointed when our fish entre' came (it was very thin and not a lot there), we were somewhat relieved since we had enjoyed everything leading up to that point. We finished by sharing an amazing chocolate desert recommended by our waiter. The waiter was personable, made excellent recommendations, and everything was timed perfectly. Whether looking for a great dining experience with friends, family or business associates - this should meet the mark. Enjoy! We'll be back...

We went to Kyma for dinner tonight. First of all the service was very good. We enjoyed the dips with pita and the lobster bites were excellent. We had the sea bass, which was good, but the portions were very small, maybe 3-4 ounces each. The lemon potatoes were good, especially when dipped in tzatziki, shame they arrived after we we were almost done with the fish. We ordered the dessert tasting which was 3 samples of dessert, although I didn’t expect to get a lot, I would have been embarrassed to serve such a minuscule amount. One donut hole, 1 tablespoon of rice pudding, a 1 inch piece of baklava with a teaspoon of ice cream for $12. I was appreciative that they adjusted our bill after a misunderstanding about the price of a crab claw appetizer. We thought it was 20 dollars but when the check came it was 39 dollars for 1 stone crab claw.

Simply the best and finest quality Greek inspired restaurant that has Pano Jr as the amazing chef…the freshest of food with innovative presentation…here is the best of the best

Went to celebrate my youngest son's birthday. We always get the Tasting menus when we go to get a chance to eat multiple items from the menu. The food was outstanding as always, we had the Mykonos and Seafood tasting options. The Service was impeccable as usual and the food beyond good!

The service was so poor, that it really detracted from how delicious the meals were. We waited nearly 10 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order and another 10 for him to deliver them. Four of us each ordered appetizers and he brought them out one by one so that we all had to wait for the final appetizer to arrive to enjoy our first course together. A second round of drinks was ordered when the meals finally arrived, and then at the weight of 15 minutes before those drinks arrived. We also felt a little bit abused being charged $18 for a simple glass of aCalifornia Cabernet. This restaurant has a potential for greatness, but they squander it by not paying attention to the little details like service and pricing. Lastly, self parking is not an option even though they have a very large parking lot. Valet minimum is three dollars.

I had gone to Kyma a few times a long time ago when I lived in the area and it was always a favorite. This was back when it was new and shiny. When I had the opportunity to go to dinner there recently, even though I live pretty far away at this point, I was SO excited! Greek food is among my very favorite! My husband booked via opentable.com. We got a confirmation call the day of and I was super pleased that we got a really great table - perhaps the best table in the house! I did request, via open table, that we're not near the restrooms or server stations and was pleased that our table was awesome. The service was fairly impeccable - no complaints at all. I loved that when we were ordering wine, our server brought two samples for us to taste, even though it was only for a glass (not a bottle.) We (we came as a couple) ordered the deal where you get a variety of spreads for the table (tzatziki, eggplant + garlic, roasted red pepper + feta, caper + potato with pitas.) They also brought great bread plus amazing olive oil! We luckily didn't eat much of that because we would have gotten too full! Then, we got our choice of 4 meze (appetizers.) We got the musssels, which were incredible - they were already shelled (hallelujia! I hate wrangling my own food in a nice restaurant!) And it was in a creamy, wonderful sauce that was crazy good with the provided bread. Then, we had the the saganaki - one of my favorite Greek dishes - but this was a special topped with blood orange marmalade - delish!!! So so so good! Then, we had the lamb in a sauce - it was like lamb meatballs - OMG amazing. Best flavor! Then, we finished our meze course with the spicy lamb pie - which wasn't spicy - but the flavor, again, incredible. Truly, amazing flavor, I could have been done right there and it'd be one of the best dinners ever! For dinner, we split the artic char, which is described as very similar to salmon and to me, seemed the same as salmon It was so delicious. Prepared simply and it was just wonderful. It came with a side of sauteed kale, which I enjoyed. Other couples or groups might want to order a side dish here, but I actually love kale. For dessert, I had what I've always gotten at Kyma, the greek yogurt and honey - a combination that I was unaware of until I had visited Kyma back in the early days, and now it's a favorite that I combine at home. Overall, amazing experience! I cannot wait for another excuse to come back! The building shows some wear - it hasn't really been updated since I was there, but you can't really tell, except in the bathroom, where some TLC might be nice. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone! I also love that although I'm not a strict vegetarian, they do offer a vegan and vegetarian menu - a full menu! Not a single dish, but a full menu - that is really awesome! Thank you for an incredible dining experience!

We’ve been coming to Kyma for special family occasions for many years, but it’s still hands down our fave date night spot for the two of us or with another couple. An incredible vegan and vegetarian menu too! Always accommodating and so fresh, perfect for all dietary lifestyles. Incredible, flavorful, authentic dishes. Must try !

We loved our experience at Kyma. The food is very authentic to Greece and there is a nice selection. We had the octopus appetizer and tomato salad to start followed by the grilled fish for our entree. The food was delicious and well timed. Out service was wonderful as well.

Fantastic menu and food. The wait staff is excellent. Menu is original. Cannot say enough about the experience from the food to the service to the atmosphere.

My wife and I have been to Kyma twice in two weeks. We got lucky and had the same server Patrick who remembered us from before. Patrick's recommendations both visits were spot on. He would have no problem telling you which dish he recommended over another option we were contemplating. The tasting while fish menu is a lot of fun, an excellent value and the way we have done it twice. My wife and I go to Chops very often and thrift we should try Kyma after a recent trip to NYC and went to a very similar style restaurant there. The prices at Kyma were so much more reasonable compared to the place in NYC. The same four meze spreads for example was priced at Kyma for $14 while the price in NYC was $37 for the same thing. I get it is NYC but I have read some reviews here that talk about the "price point" of Kyma being high. It is actually very reasonable for the high quality.

We had so many years going to kyma always happy but this last time we got the surprise that they increase the prices on the menu and lower the portions, so now we are paying more and getting less, we have been eating the same plates on the menu for many years, but know we left disapointed, hungry and paid an expensive bill! we are not going to go that often anymore!

They make the best dirty martinis in Atlanta. Come before dinner and have a drink and hors-d'oeuvres at the bar. That gets the meal off to a good start. When it comes to dinner, I have never had anything on the menu that wasn't fantastic. Everything seems to be made fresh to order and the service is excellent. The small dining room can feel a little claustrophobic with all the large Greek families filling up the 4 larger tables and booths.

At this modern and elegant restaurant, the sauteed salmon, arctic char, oakwood grilled mini octopus, lobster, and sauteed scallops over yellow split pea puree are filled with flavorful ingredients. I would like to thank the staff and chef for a truly special and unique experience.

Excellent service from Patrick, delicious soft shell crab with slaw, red snapper with ratatouille was fantastic. The only downside was the overpriced bottle of wine and the scent they piped into the dining room. The food smelled so good I don't understand why the strong scent is used which takes away from fully enjoying the taste of the food.

Wonderful dinner with family and friends at Kyma in Atlanta. The food was amazing, high quality and fresh, cooked perfectly. Estaban & Fatima and their team provided excellent service.

Been here several times. Always delicious. Meze and octopus are favorites. Skate delicious. Service weak this last trip but they comped a entree. Expensive

My wife and I made a good call, ordering the tasting menu. The spreads we had with grilled pita were fantastic. I loved the grilled octopus and lamb meatballs. We shared a grilled fish which was very good. The real surprise was the short ribs. We enjoyed them so much we copied the recipe from a cookbook. So much fun I have booked the restaurant again this Tuesday.

Kyma is everything we hoped for and then some. As you enter, you notice a dome of stars as if walking under a Greek starlit night. Colors and décor are authentic Greece and very welcoming. Our table was immediately ready. We ordered martinis and wine as we settled in. The food was beyond excellent. The first bring bread with olive oil to your table. We then started with chargrilled Octopus and Saganaki, a Greek pan fried cheese. Both appetizers were mouth watering, flavorful and left you wanting more. For dinner we ordered the Dover Sole which is filleted at your table and service with brown butter, toasted capers and sautéed Kale. The fish was the best fish we have ever had! It was perfectly filleted, the brown butter and capers added a flavor level which brought the dish full circle. The kale was tender and well seasoned which made the perfect accompany to the star ...the fish! We ordered Lava cake and baklava for dessert. Both were sweet, rich and a great way to end a wonderful meal. We LOVED this restaurant and can't wait to go back soon.

Every year I receive a dining card form Buckhead Life, sometimes 2 or 3 . I always tend to find myself at his restaurant among all the others in the group. As I was preparing to leave town forth holidays I thought another visit here would do me good. Sharign 3 appetizers and an entree has always been a good rule for me,especially at Kyma. A healthy doe of vegetables and seafood has never failed me.

We ate here over the valentine's weekend. and were sadly disappointed. We have eaten at several Greek restaurants and this has got to be one of the worse we've eaten at. The food was nothing to write home about. The portions were small. They didn't even know their Greek wines! Their Greek fries were circular potatoes! they charge for valet parking! Everything was overpriced. The service was good, albeit the server told us to order in a certain manner so that the food will come out in a certain order. I've never had this asked of me by a server. But she was courteous and attentive. The décor was good that's about it. I wouldn't go back for that!

Always a treat to eat at this restaurant. The food is fresh and chef prepared, (our favorite is the Dover Sole), and staff are friendly.

This was literally the WORST experience in culinary dining you could imagine! Let me preface this by saying I have been going to Pano’s restaurants forever, and I even know several chefs in some of his other restaurants, including the late Chef Bobbi who recently passed. So when I say I know his food, I’ve eaten it before, but this was awful. And I wish the problem would have been just the food, it was the horrible and insulting service. We had a flight, and it was my birthday, so we thought to head to Kyma prior to heading to the airport. We were greeted and seated, and come to order. We ordered the calamari, and asked it to be fried, it was definitely a crowd pleaser. We were going for the baked sea bass encrusted in salt (for two) and two orders of the lobster pasta, and an order of the steak, in addition to several sides. The sea bass encrusted in salt was great! Perfectly cooked to perfection, flavoured just right and very fresh. But the two portions of the lobster pasta and filet mignon were EXTREMELY salty. I mean I like extra salt but that has high blood pressure written all over it! We tried to get the attention, but they were all far away. We quickly ate to catch our flight. At the end of our meal, the waiter came and we informed him that the two orders of the lobster pasta plus the filet were extremely salty. He said he would let the chef know and he apologised. He would be happy to replace it. We informed him we had a flight to get to to the airport so we ate it because we didn’t have time but we informed him we just wanted to let him know so it didn’t happen again and kindly and politely asked for the check. He cleared one plate, and informed us the manager would be by. Let’s discuss the manager.. Her name was Fatima. Fatima was aggressive upon approaching our table. She said she heard of the complaint and the sea bass fish is supposed to be salty because it is encrusted in salt. We told her we were not even complaining about that, but actually the lobster pasta and citrus emulsion and the filet had too much seasoning on it. She said she tried the lobster sauce and the emulsion inside in the kitchen. We told her there’s no way we all see it as salty snd we are all wrong. She was aggressive and said she can bring us a sample to give it a try. We told her ok please and to keep one of the lobster plates so we can compare. She still insisted forcefully to remove the lobster plate so we could not compare. We insisted again to keep the dish. She brought over the sample abs it was completely different. It was more fresh, I could taste the beautiful tomato sauce snd not just the salt. I informed her that I wish she could try it but I understand because of Covid she can’t. She said well if I can’t see the difference, at which point my four other guests said they see it’s completely different also, she said well clearly we are the problem. She was loud, rude, and had so much disregard to anything we were saying. All we wanted was an apology and to feel like we were heard. It was unacceptable at one of Pano’s restaurants! Such a shame that sea bass was beautiful, and mistakes happen. At the very least just apologise for it and ask if there’s something you can do, that you will mention it to the chef and let it go, if you really want to you can give a complimentary dessert or remove an appetiser or even a gift card but it’s not necessary. But don’t argue with the customers, be aggressive and loud and rude about it, and talk that way. The real problem is the manager! That manager needs a lot of training and she definitely does not deserve that title of assistant manager. We really just wanted an apology. Like we said.. SUCH A SHAME!

Had a group / family dinner at Kyma. Excellent service, very nice waitress and good service. Atmosphere is OK, strange Greek-like columns deck the room, mixture of booths and open tables. The appetizers were very good, especially the ‘four dips’. The spanakopita were excellent. For the main courses that we had, the mussels were excellent (per my wife) some of the best that she had ever had. The fish dishes were equally very good, bronzini and skate were great. The crab pasta was very disappointing, exceptionally salty that could not be finished. The vegetarian menu was extensive in selection, but disappointing in preparation and presentation. Deserts were quite good. All in all, dinner and wine for 5 was a little over $300.

This restaurant has an attractive atmosphere. The servers are very attentive. The food was disappointing. We thought the halibut entree was not good. The fish had a strange consistency, and the sauce had an unappealing flavor. It was definitely not worth $32. The octopus also left a lot to be desired. It arrived at the table with a lot of oil at the bottom of the dish. However, it was not nearly as oily, as the octopus we previously had at the Buckhead Diner. The eggplant stew was okay, but quite bland. It would be better if they would put less salt in their food, and would let the diners add it at the table. The wine was excellent - a great recommendation from the server.

Worth every penny! Grilled octopus is awesome as well as the lamb chops and the baklava. Great Greek restaurant in Buckhead

Haven't been here in years, but we noticed the menu had broadened a bit and thought it was time to revisit. Had the delightful red pepper and feta mezze as a starter. Excellent! I had the prawns - massive little buggers over a lovely Greek style salsa. Very tasty! My husband had the lamb chops, perfectly cooked and delicious. Had a small bump with the prawns, as I like mine cooked past the translucent stage and had ordered them as such, but they came out underdone for me. As always at a Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, the staff bent over backward to make sure I was happy. Dessert sampler was so much fun and each of the three selections would have been the perfect way to end the meal, but together they were a slam dunk. We will return.

Ambience & food were fabulous. We will be back. Wait-person overselling was a bit presumptive resulting in a wine choice beyond my budget. “Buyer beware”. Chairs a little uncomfortable. A couple of wall sconces not lit and paintings askew. But they are small details only mentioned as it’s a bit pricy in the total bill relative to the staff uppity attitude. Lamb was excellent as were the dips and the spanakopita and desert.

The grilled octopus is a must along with the lamb pie. They are terrific appetizers. We had the salted sea bass and I couldn’t shovel it into my mouth fast enough. Well done and a nice portion of fish. Had the Greek fries which were also very good. There wasn’t a bad part of the meal at all. Loved to hear the flamingo guitar playing over by the bar, it was a nice touch to the ambiance. Great service and done at the right pace, didn’t feel rushed or impatient waiting for food. I’ll be back.

We felt that it was overpriced. They lied about the presentation and the quality was not fresh cuisine. It is run by an over rated chef who does not act like a professional.

Great authenic fresh Greek dinner with Greek wine. We enjoyed spanakopita and grilled octopus for starters. Then the fresh Greek fish was well prepared and delicous. The Greek music was good background for our dinner.

Seafood is my favorite item to order out & this place gave me a whole fish! It was OUTSTANDING. Enough for me and my boyfriend to share. We did the tasting menu and it was 100% worth every dollar. So much food and such a variety to chose from. I would recommend trying the lobster morales and if you like rich food , try the feta and mussels dish . The spicy lamb pie has so many textures my mouth was flipping around doing a dance! They have a large selection of Greek wine , which I now have a new found love for. Our server Logan was perfect for the experience we were wishing to have. So pleasant and attentive yet gave us our space to enjoy a romantic night out. Everything was just perfect!

My husband and I went there on a Sunday quite by chance. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We’ll definitely be back. TIP : A bottle of wine is half price on Sunday. They have an excellent select of Greek wine and half price is a good way to try the better bottle. Pick out your fish from the display as you come in. No fishy smell at all! The service was excellent. The food unique and flavorful with a beautiful presentation. We had the sampling with the one pound fish. Definitely a fun date night. Families were there but the prices were a little higher than I would’ve felt comfortable bringing little children too. That being said the staff treated them like everyone else and they weren’t stuck in a corner like some restaurants do. This year is our 30th wedding anniversary and my husband likes to celebrate milestone anniversaries all year long. You’ll probably see many more Happy Anniversary deserts from me this year. If you are looking for a fun date night give it a try. Lighting was not in your face bright but you can see your food and companions as well as read the menu. The property is very clean from your plate to the bathroom. The bar is snazzy. The food excellent in presentation and taste. The service top notch. Opa!

Recently visited one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta for a Birthday celebration with my family. I was really looking forward since it has been a while since we had dined at Kyma. The food was as always delicious and well prepared. Our server totally ruined our experience though. I hate snobbish treatment. Maybe we where not celebrities or looked "rich enough" for these folks. Very slow service, took a long time to take our drink order and food order. Rarely approached our table to see if we needed anything, seems more interested in helping the other tables around us.If that is the way you treat your customers I doubt we will ever return.

Kyma has somehow managed to actually be better now than when they opened. Appetizers are light even though fried zucchini fritters sounds heavy it is like little pillows. The pork ribs are crusted with a dry rub and incredibly tender. Fish is always the thing here listen to your servers description they know their stuff.

Off the beaten path. This is gem!!! Must add to your list of restaurants if visiting Atlanta. Great Greek cuisine. I had a soft shelled crab and Greek salad for an appetizer. The Lobster with pasta was everything. Prices are reasonable and I didn't ask for military discount. Plenty of parking. Great service and the food was hot. I'm adding this restaurant to my Top Ten 10 in Atlanta. Can't put a price on quality.

Try to hit this restaurant at least once a year. It is very high end Greek food specializing in fresh fish. They have a big display of the fish they will be cooking on ice as you walk in the door. I always take advantage of their small plates. Usually order several and share with table mates. Each plate is loveingly prepared. I always have to have the grilled octopus. This last meal we ordered the lobster morsels, the eggplant stew, grilled octopus and our last small plate was a watermelon salad which was like a desert.

If the title neglected to mention it, this restaurant is wonderful. The food is delicious. The staff welcoming. The service attentive and friendly. I think that I would sum it up as just, well, wonderful.

Heard great things about this restaurant and the ambiance was really nice. But, the menu had us confused and the paltry portion sizes left us hungry. No Gyros on the menu either. Service was decent and we didn’t have to wait too long for much of anything. The menu is broken down to what appears to be mostly appetizers that you pair with various options. Fish items by the pound were costly and didn’t come across as being worth the money. The Calamari Pasta appetizer literally amounted to about 2 tablespoons in a bowl. The lemon chicken was okay, but lacked flavor and my side of lemon potatoes had an aftertaste that was slightly metallic. Spanakopita and table bread arrived to the table cold too. Needless to say for the amount of the bill, we left hungry.

We had the luck and good fortune to visit Kyma this week...Chef Pano has delivered the highest quality Greek meza’s to start then followed by the most delicate whole fresh delivered fish steamed in grape leaves and lemons...then filleted and served with a light butter and lemon sauce...the best fish I have had in the USA!!!

Best bourbon drink my husband loved. Never like octopus but I enjoyed their appetizer. Special fun night.

We were 4 people on a Saturday night for dinner. we arrived in 2 cars & were parked by the Valets. my friend's car was parked in front because his was recognized by the Valet. on Monday( didn't drive my car on Sunday, in garage all day ) i realized that my car had tree sap all over it! i called my friend & his was in the same condition. i called Kyma & left a message on Tuesday (after cleaning my car, washing, & waxing).i simply wanted them to let the Valet people know what was happening & i wasn't sure if the folks at Kyma were even aware.i never received a call back! wednesday i called again & spoke to a lovely woman, who was quite upset that this happened( ex husband used to use a toothbrush oin his wheels!, maybe that's why...)she was going to tell Niko ( owner's son?? ) & have him get back to me.HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM EITHER!. they obviously don't care enough to respond which kind of matches the service in the restaurant. in serving us the food throughout the night, their attitude seemed like we should be happy they were serving us. the food matched the service..poor! the only thing that stood out was the prices.. unreal !$40/lb for ordinary fish, sauteed calamari that tasted like...., charges for things we didn't order...The Buckhead Group used to be a place where you knew you would be treated well & the food would match!i'm afraid those days have been gone with thier unfortunate expansion!

I enjoy this place every time I go. The lamb chops are amazing. Love the lemon Ouzo drink. For dessert, I always get the donuts. They are served warm with honey. The decor is nice. are great place to go if you love Greek food.

Not only does Kyma have an award winning chef, fantastic food, exemplary service - Chef Pano BEAT Bobby Flay !! YESSSS !!! I wasn’t until after the viewing of the show did we learn that elements of our tasting dishes were in the show !! We sat with an interesting couple and had great conversation all night as well. Had a great time ! Thank you Chef Pano and staff !!

Very lovely Resturant in Buckhead area with great staff I had Arctic char and husband had steak. Couple with us had more classic Greek dishes. No complaints were voiced from anyone. Drinks excellent. Would highly recommend

Kyma is an upscale, very nice restaurant with friendly, professional, efficient service. The appetizers and sides are very good -- several unique options. But it is their fish that sets them apart. Have had several preparations of fish at Kyma and all are truly superb. They have been very helpful in helping us select a wonderful Greek wine to go with our dinner. Expensive (maybe too expensive), but delicious food and wonderful experience.

We love upscale Greek style food , so we naturally returned to Kyma. The fish is always fresh and the choices are ample. The appetizers are varied and the grilled octopus excelled . They have the best Greek wine list that I have ever seen. The waiter cheerfully catered to one diner’s severe dietary restrictions. The deserts were delicious . We highly recommend Kyma. The service was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The food is delicious. We had lobster morsels and a lobster salad as starters. Very very good. We shared a Lavraki fish -- came with head on and tail on. A wonderful tasty fish. Espresso martini for dessert. Only drawback -- the fish is priced by the pound. That is in fairly small print on the menu. Our fish was 2 pounds at $40 a pound. Delicious food; prices a bit high in my opinion.

My wife and I had dinner here and it was awesome. Our server Alison was so gracious and helped us with a Greek wine selection which she nailed. She also gave us great advise on our dinner selections. We had an awesome meal and can highly recommend Kyma.

Chose Kyma to meet my best friend, mother and husband for a long overdue dinner. Atmosphere was superb. Service absolutely outstanding. (I too work in the industry, and our visit was divine!) The ouzo shots, and Greek martinis gave us a much needed buzz, after a two hour drive through Atlanta. The lamb dissolved on my tongue, and the eggplant was everything I was hoping for. If you are looking for an authentic, pleasant experience, I would highly recommend Kyma for your next fine dining experience. Bravo!

Fine dining at its Finest. Service beyond expectations. Grilled Octopus was outstanding, all the seafood was fresh and exquisite, the meat platter was prepared to perfection, the beet salad was the best presentation I have ever seen or eaten. If you want an extraordinary experience, this is The Place!!?

Menu has a wide variety of food, but is seafood-themed. Vegan and vegetarian menus. Great Greek wine list - more than willing to have you sample before purchase of wine by the glass. The salads are enough for two. Service is attentive and knowledgeable.

Early dinner of mezze (small plates). Had all four of the spreads with pita and also asked for veggies to dip in the dips, tomato salad and lobster bites. The lobster bits were light as air and delicious. For dessert, we ordered the donuts, which came out in a huge, piping hot pyramid of fried dough balls topped with honey and walnuts. Yum! Had good glass of Greek white wine akin to a Pinot Grigio. Mills, our waiter was helpful, responsive and pleasant to interact with. A manager came over to the table twice to make sure we were happy with our experience. Top notch all the way.

Even though I have lived in Atlanta for over 52 years and have dined many times at all the BLRG restaurants in Atlanta but Kyma until last night when our daughter and her boyfriend took my wife and I to Kyma for dinner to celebrate our birthdays. First the highlights...when we first arrived the bartender and the young woman (who also speaks fluent Italian) who waited on my wife and I in the bar were very nice. We had a drink and snack before dining in the main restaurant and thought that this had the feeling of a special evening...but soon we would be let down. I had made a point to ask for a nice table but instead we were seated in the corner of the room where two of us looked out the window at parked cars...not the restaurant. Next, the server we were given either had too many tables or just could not handle the tables she had...whatever the case the service was certainly disappointing and not at all what we experienced from the young lady in the bar who waited on us originally! As far as the food...if you enjoy appetizers and desserts you have come to the right place as these are the only reasons my wife and I would return. The Lamb Pie, the Mussels, and the Grilled Octopus were excellent...as well as the donuts, ice cream, and rice pudding! But of the four entrees only one lived up to its expectations. The Lamb Chops we ordered had to be sent back because even though they were ordered medium rare they came out originally medium well. To the restaurants credit they did remake them and this time although they were medium rare they were not the nice thick lamb chops you would normally expect at a fine restaurant...instead the 3 of them were more like lollipop lamb chops you would be served as an appetizer at a wedding reception. I myself ordered the yellow snapper and there just wasn't much to it...it wasn't bad but I have had much better fish at the Atlanta Fish Market which is difficult for me to comprehend since I was told "fish" was their specialty at Kyma! Also the Prawns my daughter ordered were over cooked and mushy...again not what we expected. Her boyfriend ordered The Fisherman Stew and he said it was very good. After having visited the Buckhead Diner next store to it over 100 times and many times looking out the window at a Kyma I often wondered what is what like inside - I guess there was a reason that I waited so long to finally give this restaurant a try!

Andrew was amazing. He provided all the recommendations and at one point my colleague just said “Andrew just bring me what you would recommend for the main course”. For dessert we had all kinds of questions- he took the menus and said “I got this”. Boy did he- the dessert was off the charts..olive ice cream, Greek donuts, blue berry pie -Greek Style. Meal was outstanding and Andrew -Thank You. We will be back!

A recent meal at Kyma with several business associates left us with resolve to not return. The food is okay but the portions are ridiculously small. Lamb "shanks" at $32 was a portion of meat smaller than a hot dog. The octopus appetizer was five pieces the size of a double dinner mint. As the host, I was absolutely embarrassed as my guests left hungry after eating mediocre food.

Kyma delivers a great experience every time. Even a quick snack at the bar provides good food and fast service. Best fried cheese I ever had; Lamb is perfect. A nice mix of specialty cocktails, Very nice ambiance and great staff

First impressions: What a lovely restaurant. Classic look! We were asked to wait 5 minutes for our table and a chef that looked like he was in charge came by. After answering he was Chef Pano I told him I had the fondest memories of Pano & Paul’s and he told us about the fried lobster morsels on the menu. The food was in.....credible. We had lobster, lamb, octopus and trout. You can taste the PASSION for food the chef has in every course! Wonderful Valentine’s Day Dinner!

I brought my dear friend who was visiting from Miami to Kyma for dinner. From the first cocktail to dessert everything was perfectly delicious. We started with spanakopita and zucchini fritters. They were delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb chops and my friend had the snapper. Both were wonderful choices. We enjoyed a glass of Greek Cabernet Sauvignon. For dessert we shared the baklava with pistachio ice cream. The service was attentive and not intrusive. One of my favorite Atlanta restaurants. Buckhead Life Restaurants never disappoint!!

The atmosphere is very reminiscent of Greek restaurants we have visited in Greece, the decor is stunning. The service standards are very high too, but so are the prices. So really it all comes down to perceived value. 2 people with 1 appetizer, 2 main courses, a bottle of wine ($49/bottle was one of the cheapest available), 1 dessert and 1 coffee = $200. The fresh fish was perfectly cooked, and presentation is good too but I don't think we would rush back.

Everything about this restaurant is classy, including the valet parking, hostess, servers, menu, and the food. I had never been there and will definitely go back again. It was quiet, tables were spaced nicely, service was prompt but never rushed. And the food was fabulous. We had the special-I forgotten the type of fish and the tomato salad as an appetizer, along with a glass of champagne and a cup of coffee. It was expensive, but a wonderful place for a romantic date.

A friend made reservations at Kyma against my recommendation from past experience. But I played along and we went as a group of 10. I ordered a scallop appetizer and lamb chops that came with supposedly Greek potatoes. 2 pieces of scallops, cut in half, for $15. It was sitting on top of a pink sauce of yellow split peas that was not tasty at all. The lamb chops were not trimmed of fat and were charred on a grill, but still dripped of oil. It almost looked like the lamb chops were deep fried. Not a very good preparation. the so called Greek potato side that is supposed to be oven roasted potato wedges with lemon or lime and oregano were just very small potato medallions and definitely deep fried and again dripping in oil. This shows a not so competent cook making them. If the oil is not hot enough, your potatoes become greasy. the tzatziki sauce tasted more like sour cream or mixed with mayonnaise rather than the refreshing yogurt based sauce. Very expensive wine by the glass. Overall a disappointing meal for the price. Just because Kyma is associated with the Pano & Paul group does not automatically make it good Greek food. By the way, another friend who had the halibut said it was the worst halibut he had ever had.

So disappointing. First of all, the waiter rushes you to order. AND, they have a large tasting, "bites" menu, but you have to order everything at once. I repeat, appetizers, entrees, everything at once. What if you are stuffed? What if you are still hungry? The waiter took FOREVER to bring our drinks each time, and for $16 each, they were absolutely nothing special. The food was good, but not worth the prices. And the "donuts" were crap. At least they had outside seating you could reserve. Truly a waste of money, though.

We had a dinner reservation for 10 on Saturday June 10th for my mum in law’s 70th birthday dinner. Firstly there was a fly in our son’s cocktail which had to be returned & was replaced with an alternative We had a variety of appetizers including the scallops which our eldest daughter had and which was flavorless and was not cooked properly - it was undercooked and had no sear. Our middle daughter had the spinach pie in filo pastry which was excellent. The calamari which our family friends from the UK had, was just ok (mediocre) & my olive paste was delicious The entrees however were a let down. Both lamb shank entrees were returned as the meat was extremely under seasoned and cork dry (totally unpalatable). My best friend had the lamb chops with tzatziki, 2 of our kids had the snapper and our eldest had the lobster pasta. Out of the 10 diners, 5 people had bad food poisoning (snapper, lobster and lamb chops) - one of whom had sweats, projectile vomiting and diarrhea throughout the night and most of the day after. The others had diarrhea. While the head chef and manager were very apologetic about the lamb shanks and offered alternatives, I was extremely disappointed in the food quality, so declined an alternate entree but at the manager’s repeated insistence, I opted for a complimentary glass of Prosecco I had the baklava dessert and our daughters had the dessert taster and Greek donuts which were all delicious However due to the lamb shanks being unpalatable and the food poisoning of 4 of our guests on such an important milestone celebration for our Mum, Kyma has been a COMPLETE LETDOWN and is not an establishment we will patronizing in the future. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT

What an absolutely wonderful meal! We were most fortunate to have Anna as a server. She was so personal, informative, friendly, and professional, that she is now my gold standard in the service industry. Anna, if you get to read this, thank you! The atmosphere and design of the restaurant are very pleasing. The noise level was moderate, allowing for easy conversation. The four of us had the tasting menu, with sea bass as the main course. It was prepared to the exact correct temperature, and was the right size for our group. The taste was nothing short of superb. The sides, and previously the appetizers, were superb. Select them for yourself; you can't go wrong. This was my first visit to Kyma, and I truly look forward to my next.

Attentive service, great menu and nice selection of wines. Superb surroundings especially in the Octopus Lounge. Fresh whole fish will wet your appetite as never before. If they added whole spit lamb I would move next door!!

I really like octopus and the appetizer here is perfect! Other fresh fish dishes are wonderful and salads are also good.....

The food was good - greek/mediteranian/seafood. Service was good. Waitress friendly and knew the menu well.

Kyma has hands down the best seafood selection in the entire state of Georgia. The vibe by the bar area is great and the Music is always jamming while the drinks are pouring. Thanks for a great dinner and thanks to Chef Pano for dropping by to check on us

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. Chef Pano made his rounds working for the best in the business before opening Kyma (The French Laundry, La Bernardin..). This experience coupled with his Greek heritage means that you are in for a treat. If they gave out Michelin Stars in Atlanta, Kyma would most certainly have at least one.

We enjoyed our appetizers and meal but found other Greek restaurants to have a wider selection and flavor. Lovely time in general, but other Buckhead Life restaurants have our heart.

I'm a Kyma virgin and I probably won't go back for another encounter. I am seated, waiting for my guest who had minor surgery earlier that morning. She shows up looking lovely and we hug and greet one another. This is where it gets interesting. Our waiter seems as if he'd rather be anywhere else but Kyma. He's disengaged and disinterested. I travel A LOT and have been fortunate to eat at many amazing restaurants all over the US . I've encountered great servers and some that really sucked. For this price point, you would expect some interest or excitement from your sever, but to get none is quite disappointing. The expectation is that the waiter will at least tell you his name...HELLO? Since he didn't introduce himself, I asked him for his name, he said Judd. I then introduced myself and my friend, since he didn't ask in kind. He then asked if we were ready to order. I asked about a certain dish and he said it was delicious. That was the best thing he offered us, and he was right. The rest of the service was lackluster and nonexistent.. I was celebrating my birthday, yet he didn't bother to ask if we there celebrating an event or just hanging out. There was no attempt to build rapport or strike up a conversation. I could see if he was overwhelmed with tables; however, it was somewhat slow since it was early evening. Bottom line,. Too much money spent for lackluster service.

This restaurant serves upscale Greek food with a modern twist. I highly recommend ordering the selection of mezzes (like tapas). You’ll start with three dips/spreads and warm house-made pita. Then you pick several mezzes which include vegan options. There are some classics like spanakopita and unusual options like grilled octopus. The seafood is very fresh. The service is professional and friendly and the waiters are knowledgeable. That’s helpful bc many of the choices may be unfamiliar. The decor is beautiful blue and white like every picture of Greece you see in travel posters (but no tacky travel posters on the walls here). The restaurant is located in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and is convenient to shopping and hotels.

Outstanding food and service. Ten of us enjoyed small plates: hummus and pita; grilled octopus, Greek potatoes; tatziki; white beans; and I'm forgetting something. The octopus was the best but everything bursted with flavor. We filled up on these but still had whole fish: sole and another fish I forget the name. The chefs came in the room to inform us how they were being prepared. Fish was simply but delicate prepared like in Greece with no sauces. Chef also gave us beet salad with a rainbow of various beets and feta. For dessert, we had these addictive donuts and Greek coffee. Try it all. Whopa.

Several aspects of a restaurant need to be evaluated: food, atmosphere and service. The food was delicious and fresh. What else canoe say about the food. We were 5 adults and my child, all of whom are Greek in origin, and we decided to order " tapas" style. We had numerous appetizers and one entree. I could list what we ordered, however, it doesn't really matter, everything was delicious. At the expense of leaving the readers hanging, i shall list a few of the things we ordered: lobster morsels, mussels in a cream sauce and octopus, Wow, wow and wow !!! As for the entree, we ordered the Lavraki. If you enjoy whole fish perfectly cooked, do not miss out not this dish. We escaped Florida from the oncoming hurricane and we are still talking about how excellent our meal at Kyma was. It is worth the trip even if it is not is the Metro Atlanta region.
The tasting meal is Amazing!
This was a birthday meal with two people. We tried the tasting menu. The spreads with warm pita were a great way to start the meal. You then get to choose four mezes. The dolmades were the best that I have ever tasted. Their flavor was fresh and rich. Next, we had the roasted oysters. They were actually our least favorite part of the meal but they were still delicious. Hands down, our favorite dish was the lamb pie. It was amazing! Our last meze was the cheese and mushroom dish. It was good but extremely rich. We chose the sea bream as our entree. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious. If you try the tasting menu, my advice is to skip lunch, because you will be full.
