5 year wedding anniversary dinner done right :)

By Stephanie P |

Cannot recommend KYU enough! Fantastic food and kind hospitality. Our server Brian truly made the even g with his kindness and enthusiasm. The entire team, Francis, Vincent and manager Ian were so kind to help us celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary! Highly recommend the cauliflower with sushito pepper sauce, Korean fried chicken, and brisket! You will not leave hungry. Thank you, again team KYU!

Very cool Asian fusion

Nice Atmosphäre - Staff super friendly - food experimental but very good - try the cauliflower - we also liked the special rice and the spicy tequila

Excellent Experience

Kyu had excellent food and cocktails. Our waitress was so friendly and took the time to make recommendations. The grilled octopus was our favorite - Smokey and tender. We enjoyed our entire experience. Highly recommend.

Worth the visit

Excellent dining experience. Located in the Fountainbleu hotel. I would say an Asian cuisine fusion. Served in family style Korean fried chicken, short ribs, octopus etc. were amazing. Service was first class. Great atmosphere.

Asian inspired food

Great Asian style diner, with good quality food and very good service. It’s a true pleasure to eat here, don’t doubt come in and eat

Excellent food

By Dorset_Solo_traveller |

I was staying at the Fontainebleau and wanted something to eat that was not a full meal. This place offers small plates of Asian inspired food and as I had not had a happy experience the night before at the Washing Potato I decided to pop into this restaurant. It is nicely decorated, quite darkly lit. I sat at the bar and service was excellent. They have an interesting range of cocktails but I just had a soft drink. I ordered the pork dumplings - there were four dumplings in a tasty soy based sauce. Not a huge portion but just fine for what I was looking for. I think they cost about $17. I did not fell hurried or unwelcome as I had the night before and will come back here again during my stay.

Unique menu

Located on the first floor of the fountainbleau, we almost missed it. Had reservations but it wasn't busy when we were there. Very unique menu. . Had the duck, crunchy kale, Japanese sweet potato and something else along with a Japanese beer. Alll were great as was the service. It is not cheap tho.

Delightfully Delicious

By WiscoGirl |

This place was phenomenal! From the food to the service & the atmosphere, it was all spot on. We enjoyed the smoked beef short rib and Korean deep fried chicken. Beyond tasty. Short ribs were tender and melt in your mouth good! Best I’ve ever had. Anywhere. Ever. We savored every last bite. I cannot wait to eat this again. Best meal out in Vegas this trip and we can’t wait to return! If you haven’t been, you should. We had great service and the ambiance also matched the relaxing & hip dining experience. We will be back. Don’t over look this place. Worth every penny.

Fountainebleau Las Vegas Treasure

First time visiting KYU and overall it was excellent. The service was impeccable and decor beautiful. Big hits were the Sea Bass which was perfection, best I've ever had. The Stone Pot is a must, we got Crab and it was fantastic. The Roasted Cauliflower was excellent. However we did not enjoy the Pork Guy appetizer. The pork was mostly fat, which was not acceptable, we sent that back. Also we did not care for the steamed spinach in coconut milk, have had better. Will absolutely go back though. My husband ordered a beer & I had basic Margarita, which was great. No room for dessert, maybe next time.

one of my best Vegas meals ever

By Miles M |

we were treated like VIP. service was exceptional and our server and all the staff were completely knowledgeable and clear about the menu. the atmosphere is great; it is a comfortable room, quiet music and low lights. the menu is unique and we looked forward to selecting food we don't get often. everything we ordered was perfect. every bite of the corn ribs was delicious (one order probably too much for two people but we finished it anyway). the duck breast was one of the best dinner entrees I've ever had. note that they do warn you it takes 30 minutes to prepare but it is absolutely worth it. the grilled octopus was delicious. we ordered the dark chocolate s'mores cake and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. for the service, food and experience, I thought the price was reasonable, and it was one of my favorite meals anywhere.

great

Amazing experience

By Regan O |

Absolutely incredible! A great night started with incredible ambiance and view of the strip. However what made the evening over the top was the amazing food. The first order started with Shishito peppers. I don’t even like peppers but these were so addictive I ate the whole thing myself! An amazing table side of beef tartar, with a fire show followed. I was unsure what to order for main courses until I saw the short ribs at another table and this made the choice easy. They were the best short rib I have ever eaten and were incredibly tender. All the staff were great but a great restaurant works as a team and this was never more apparent than this experience. Nick the bus person was incredibly helpful and should be a waiter with his attention to detail skills. Incredible night and I will highly recommend this experience to anyone hitting Vegas!

Spotty service & limited celiac options

By Rachel S |

My husband had a $100 dining credit that we needed to use up at Fontainebleau. What a mess trying to find a meal to use it as someone with Celiac disease. Not only are the menus not marked at most of the restaurants at any casino, but for the restaurant that does at Fontainebleau, Kyu, they only have gluten-free options marked for items that aren't main dishes. Do chefs and managers ever consider that if they're making a menu and they're marking it for special diets, some dishes in each course should be able to be ordered by someone who is utilizing those markers? Again, there were no main dishes that were gluten-free. The waiter told me he talked to the chef and I could order the $70 filet mignon with no seasonings and a dish of salt on the side "but that it wouldn't taste good like it's supposed to." Huh? The only dish with meat that was gluten-free was the tuna crispy rice appetizer and came with 4 pieces. I ordered that and 2 vegetable sides while my husband ordered fried chicken and bao for himself. My husband and I were seated in a back corner right next to the kitchen. My husband's Korean Fried chicken came out so overcooked, with the breading partially missing, that he took 1 bite and sent it back. It was obviously overcooked and should have never left the pass. The waiter kinda argued with him and said that it's supposed to look dark. It wasn't dark, it was overcooked. My husband's fried chicken and second, redone fried chicken both came out before anything I ordered came out. What we ordered: - GF Tuna Crispy Rice - $32 (appetizer) - GF Kimono Cucumber - $14 (side) - GF Japanese Sweet Potato - $18 (side) - 2 piece Pork Belly Bao - $16 (main) - Korean Fried Chicken - $36 (main) - GF 2 piece Vietnamese Coffee Tiramisu - $18 (dessert) - 1 Cafe Americano - $6 (drink) With tax, our bill came out to $151.73 before tip. Food comes out as it's ready so the Japanese sweet potato came out last after we had finished everything but before we got the dessert menu. The waiter had to check with the staff to make sure the tiramisu that was marked gluten-free was actually gluten-free. I'm still not sure what was in it although it tasted nice. Service was spotty. I often had an empty water glass until a busser kinda noticed we were neglected. Overall, I felt that this restaurant's service, quality and options weren't worth what they were charging. Nice place, nice people, still needs refinement (esp. the food)

By Scott J |

The ambience and service are both very welcoming. They care and it shows. The food is aspirational, and well conceived. I had the cucumber sunomono, which was maybe the best version I've ever had: crunchy, thick pieces of cucumber, in a refreshing vinegar dressing that was not too sweet (like a day at the spa). The Thai rice with duck confit was somewhat average. The rice was nicely cooked, but where was the duck? And the other ingredients, for that matter? The sauce came out boiling hot otherwise was lacking in boldness. I did not discern galangal, ginger, fish sauce, coconut, lemongrass, or anything that I recognize as a Thai seasoning. Finally, I ordered the sweet potato, as a kind-of desert (per the bartender). It was desert-like for how rich it was. Otherwise, I thought it could've used more distinction (in the sauce in particular) beyond the richness. The potato itself was standard roasted sweet potato fare. It would've been mediocre on its own, and was only slightly less mediocre with the sauce. All in all though the place is pleasant.

Delicious Asian-inspired menu

By JB |

We absolutely loved our meal. The sea bass, cauliflower and Asian-inspired burrata was delicious. Like lick-the-plate delicious! It was pricey but worth it for the quality, uniqueness and elevated taste of the 3 dishes we had.

Terrible experience at KYU in Fountain Bleu hotel Las Vegas, manager did nothing even though it was a mistake on their

By Claudia G |

Made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a birthday celebration when we arrive they told us that we can only order from breakfast menu and some items from the dinner menu which was fine for us so we order some first courses plus cocktails and 3 bottles of wine they arrived fine but when we where ready to order the main courses they told us the kitchen was closed nobody notified us about it in advance, we ask to talk to the manager and he told us he cannot do anything about it even though it was their mistake, he only told us “ you can stay but cannot order any food” . Why would they take a 3pm reservation for the restaurant if they will not serve any food between 3 and 5pm? Terrible experience 😡

A must try for a fabulous experience

By KimaT |

We thoroughly enjoyed every single part of this meal. We had shrimp Gyoza, Korean fried Chicken, stone pot fried rice with shrimp and the pork belly bao buns. The service was perfect as were the drinks. Highly recommend.

Amazing Vegas Brunch & Dinner at KYU

By Janna S |

This new location is off the charts. So many new amazing items with the OGs as well, the friendliest and most accommodating service, and a really amazing and lively space in this new classy Vegas hotel. Such a good addition! KYU doesn't miss!

Delicious food and wonderful experience

Try the cauliflower

By sjtrav3ler |

This is a restaurant not to pass up if you are looking for well seasoned entrees and a well seasoned staff. Don’t miss out on the cauliflower;I am usually irritated seeing it on a menu, however it is one of their top 3 dishes. Another favorite was the miso sea bass. Presentations were gorgeous as well. We all had a lovely experience and will be back.

Asian with a twist

By pillowsofwanderlust |

For my recent one night stay at Fontainebleu, I chose this restaurant over Don's Prime for dinner. The restaurants are situated adjacent to each other on the ground level; Mother Wolf is also here. While Don's Prime is a classic steakhouse, Kyu, which has 2 other locations in the US, serves Asian fusion with some wood-fired items. The restaurant is very attractive, with a glassed-in open kitchen, large windows looking out to the Strip, a vertical garden wall (real or fake?). The menu offers dishes influenced by several Asian countries. They have a tasting menu of sorts called The Kyu Experience, which is what I went with. There was some confusion as to what dishes come with the Experience. Apparently parties of 2 or more get 7 plates. I was a solo diner, so only got 5 plates, and not all the ones the waiter said I would get. Still, it was a decent introduction to the menu. Here's what I received: Krunchy Kale. Flash fried kale served with a bracingly acidic nam prik dipping sauce. Tasty, but greasy and a bit salty. Used the dipping sauce sparingly because of its mouth-puckering qualities. Tuna Crispy Rice. One piece of a classic starter. Their version was fine, but the crispy rice leaned more towards hard vs crispy, a common fate with this dish. Korean Fried Chicken. I would have probably ordered this dish if I had gone a la carte; I like to try different versions when it's offered. Kyu's version was a fried thigh and breast with the sauce on the bottom with some braised spinach. The chicken alone was decently fried and crispy, but the sauce was MUCH too spicy for me! I ended up just eating the chicken. The KFC I like has some sweetness to it along with the savory and (some) spice. This one only had heat. It was the second misfire on KFC for me on this Vegas trip. The KFC at ZIppy's had almost no flavout (or sweetness) and was hard to boot. Stone Pot Thai Fried Rice. The best dish of the meal. This was the vegetarian version with requisite egg on top mixed in tableside. The rice had great flavour and lots of crispy edges from the stone pot, which is what you want. It reminded me of the rice I had at Best Friend at the Park MGM, but that one had less crispy edges and more tartness from the kimchi , expected since it's a Korean place. Pork Belly Bao Bun. A now ubiquitous dish, perhaps made famous by David Chang (Momofuku). Kyu's version was fine. I was also given a dessert, a tiramisu bao, which was nice. I ordered the Coconut Cream Spinach a la carte because I was curious. It was unique and decent. I put the spinach from the chicken in this dish to soften the spiciness. Should I return, I'd want to try the cauliflower (which I thought I was going to get with the Experience) and the duck or short rib. But I also want to try Don's Prime.

Unique and amazing!

An incredible menu with fabulous drinks. Most eclectic food we've ever had. And the staff was over-the-top amazing. The manager and general manager both stopped by our table to meet with us. Couldn't have asked for more. Definitely try their banana/chocolate Old Fashioned...it was one of the best I've had.

I really liked the Asian fusion style of food. We ordered several flagship dishes from the sharing center. Ribs and hooded chicken are a must.

Asian food in Fountainebleau

By Rafael_Rio_37 |

Restaurant id nicely furnished and classy. Since this was my first visit Ive opted for the tasting menu, to try a little bit of everything. Food was ok, nothing spetacular, service was ok at max, dishes came without proper explanation, not in the perfect order. Also, appeared to me that the staff wasn't ready to provide pairing so I've opted out of it. For such an expansive restaurant I was expecting better.

Amazing food and service

By Pstrtj |

We went with our oldest son who had been there before so I really didn’t know what to expect. We opted for the Kyu experience. I highly recommend! The food was amazing and service was phenomenal! It is a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for.
