Dark and (too) crowded restaurant on the Strip. Mediocre Italian cuisine (naturally) but (apart from the skimpy focaccia), quite in quantity with quick but confusing service and at very high prices even for Las Vegas. Wines then at unjustifiably exorbitant and unaffordable prices.

My sister and I visited Lavo for my birthday dinner. We had thadeous (I hope I spell that correctly)! He was amazing!! He was funny, generous and made the experience the best we’ve ever had. From some free shots to a birthday dessert, he made the entire trip for us. Can’t recommend him enough! And when we were already out of the restaurant and into the hotel lobby, he ran out after us and gave us a hug! So sweet! Will definitely be back and will most definitely request him.

We had a great dining experience at Lavo. The ambiance isn’t anything extraordinary, although you do get a mild “having dinner on the streets of Italy” vibe. Our server was fantastic. She knew the menu and made great recommendations. Her personality was bubbly but not over the top. We were a part of four, and shared several dishes. Half of us are vegetarian; the Lavo menu was very accommodating to our diet. Garlic Bread: This is not your typical garlic bread. It is presented as a loaf of bread about 16-18 inches long, cut in half and scored with slices about 1 inch thick. So, a big portion. It is served with three different sauces to dip in (Basil Pesto, Marinara and a Gorgonzola Dolce sauce). We liked the presentation and the dish. Eggplant Parmigiano: this is on Lavo’s Appetizer menu; we ordered it to share, which was the perfect amount. I can see this item being ordered as an entrée for 1-2 people also. The was one of the best eggplant parms we have had. The dish was thinly sliced eggplants layered with cheese and marinara. You can definitely taste the eggplant since it was roasted and not fried. Penne Alla Vodka: absolutely delish! This was one of the better made penne vodkas we have had; it was not overly creamy or overly acidic/tomatoey in taste. The pasta was cooked to perfection, al dente. Penne Seafood Alfredo: since we are vegetarian, we didn’t have this dish; but the couple we were with enjoyed the flavors in this dish. Truffle Gnocchi: very light and airy gnocchi, with just the right amount of shaved truffle (not over bearing). Jumbo Asparagus: was typica, but tasty. 20 Layer Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake: because we had to see/try this! If you love peanut butter and chocolate, you will love this. It’s a BIG slice; the 4 of us could not even finish this. Lavo is a big restaurant, with a lot of space. It’s not an intimate setting, but we felt it was a great Italian restaurant, especially for our little group.

We decided to go to Lavo for our Thanksgiving dinner. I'm not crazy about turkey, so I decided to order from their regular menu. I ordered Chicken parimigiano with baked potato. My boyfriend ordered lobster and baked potato. He was happy with the lobster but it wasn't much. The baked potatoes were super dry with no flavor and the chicken parmigiano was....... I don't even know how to describe it. It tasted like it was frozen chicken instead of fresh (like it was in the freezer for months) and it was overcooked and dry. Just terrible. for desert we ordered tiramisu and it wasn't the best. On the other hand, the restaurant is beautiful, not too loud and the waiter was nice. Overall, we gambled and we lost, big time. The prices are waaaayyy to high for the quality of the food. For those prices, I expect the best dinner ever, I expect a fresh, juicy chicken and tasty and creamy baked potatoes. And that didn't happened, unfortunately. We had better luck at the casinos, but couldn't get back the money we lost and wasted in this restaurant. My family actually went here in September of 2021 during the recovery of the pandemic. I learned about this restaurant through YouTube. I convinced my family we should try this since we were staying at the Venetian next door, it’s my birthday, we don’t want to pay for parking at another hotel just to eat that their restaurant and we were exhausted from our drive from page Arizona! Our waitress was good at the beginning which she gave our special drinks quickly. But the turning point was when we ordered the appetizer which was a special garlic bread, it took over an hour to get to our table! As predicted it was cold! We told them we don’t want that anymore so we gave it back! And much worse our main entrees took over an extra 1 1/2 hours to get! And everyone else who came later got their food faster than us and already left! I should’ve paid the the parking and eat at the wicked spoon instead of being a sucker to save $20 parking and be miserable at lavo!

We are here in a Thursday night and it was empty. Good service, great food. We would ha e tried many dishes and will be back. We had the sea bass and seafood fettuccini. Both were excellent. Drinks we good too.

Came to meet up with a friend for drinks and dinner. Sat at the bar which was crowded and loud with people standing around the seated guest either drinking or trying to order drinks while they waited for tables . Bartenders were super busy busting out drinks before we could order but overall my pasta was great and friend enjoyed their dining experience.

Excellent service, food quality, atmosphere, especially for a business meal. I love going to Lavo every time I go to Vegas. The waitress went above and beyond. My customer was being difficult and asked for berries for dessert. She didn’t say no, she went and found some. Talk about above and beyond!! I’ll be back!

We had a weekend brunch there, $50 prix fixe. All you can eat, with table service. (No more buffet tables — COVID.) The variety was good, with the usual breakfast choices, plus salads and even oysters. Service was prompt and friendly. Now, $50 is not really cheap, but if you were to add it all up a la carte, you’d be above that. Would I go back? Yes. Is this a Must Visit in Las Vegas? No, but you really could do lots worse.

Not the best Italian in las Vegas, but not bad and the downstairs room and bar are fun and lively. Upstairs room is a great place for a party. The ematballs are amazing!

Paper covers over tablecloths are more than inappropriate for a restaurant at the $$$$ price point. Very tacky. Are you running a fine dining restaurant or a casual eatery? The music selection is appropriate for a low-end club. Seems like someone's teenager made the selections. Better fries at McDonald's or pretty much anywhere else and you won't be paying $14 to be thoroughly disappointed. The minestrone was bland. The entrees were good, but could use an upgrade at these prices. Definitely more form than substance. Very disappointed.

Wrapped up my days in Vegas with a lovely meal. D.J. took exceptional care of me. Prosecco, bread, Pasta Carbonara, wine....I left well satisfied. Truffle fries were bland and when I indicated it to D.J. he removed it from the bill without me even asking. Great sign of 'customers come first'. Atmosphere was elegant but also casual. I'll be back!

We made reservations to go to dinner before our wedding. We were seated immediately and had excellent service. The restaurant is lovely, very nicely decorated without being over the top. They have acrylic partitions between the bench seating/tables for safety. Food was yummy.. I would LOVE to give a shout out to the brussell sprouts.... OH. EM. GEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were surprised at the end of our meal with a glass of champagne from our waitress.... nice touch!

We were recently in Vegas 7/24/20-7/31/20 and let me tell you...Lavo has some of the BEST food! We actually ate here 3 times during our trip! Not only is the food AMAZING, but the staff is exceptional! Even with all the changes due to COVID, I felt like they surpass my expectations every time! If you’ve never eaten at Lavo, you need to!!!

We decided to go to lavo for our anniversary, everything was amazing!! Autum was our server, she was Very professional and attentive. The food was delicious we had the beet and goat cheese salad to start. It was highly recommend to have the “giant meatball”, so glad we did!! My husband had seafood and pasta Alfredo, he loved it!! Autum surprised us with deep fried Oreos for our anniversary, they were wonderful,so thoughtful and kind of her! Thanks for making our night so special!!! We highly recommend Lavo. It’s a must to do on the Las Vegas strip!

We really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful suggesting we split the Veal Chop and Cavatelli Bolognese, both excellent and huge portions! Additionally, 'The Meatball" appetizer was excellent and huge (I would guess enough for 3/4 people as an appetizer). Very enjoyable experience and a relativley short walk to the new Atomic Saloon Show which we saw after dinner.

Brought( 4) of my clients to Lavo Tuesday night in suits and ties and had a wonderful meal. Thursday night I brought (4) of my mechanics to Lavo with normal attire and was told a 30 minute wait. An hour later we were told we were the next party to be seated by the hostess. After 30 minutes another party was seated. I asked for the manager after my party felt like they weren't seated because they felt they were being looked down upon by because they were just not up to the hostess and the managers expectations. The manager was very short with my party. This was my end of trip meal for them and it was ruined by the manager and hostess. We wound up going to a crappy restaurant.Really a let down. Totally embarrassed. Thanks Lavo. Never again!!

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here on a couples weekend to Las Vegas. The meatball is truly amazing. I have never described Meat as melting in your mouth but this one does. My huband had a pizza and I had the carbonara and they were both delicious. The service was great and we had a lovely evening!

Every time I stay in Vegas, I go to Lavo. Having lived in New York, the TAO group is quite popular and at first I loved going there but you can see a decline in food quality. They used to have a seafood pasta with tomato sauce which tasted awesome! Now they changed it to Seafood Alfredo and to be honest, it’s quite a downgrade. It looks like your regular homecooked pasta meal and comes with 3 shrimp and 1 1/2 scallops for $34. The whole atmosphere is just not what it used to be. And I get it, we’re in a pandemic but can you downgrade food and still charge the same amount of money...?

Great service! Anastasia and Andrew were great! We shared the Caesar salad which was very tasty. The spaghetti and meatballs were amazing. It is a bit loud but I find most restaurants in Vegas are so I can’t complain. Shout out to the good servers who, while taking care of, us also handled huge groups and one grumpy customer amazingly. Food is subjective but service is what matters.

We stayed in the Palazzo so Lavo was a convenient choice for us. The food was very good, the service was fine. The portions were large, and the garlic bread appetizer with dipping sauces were well received at our table.

We ate there for my husband’s birthday and it was so loud it was hard for us to talk. The tables are very crowded. The food was fine, but not worth it. We will not eat there again.

Business dinner, bread and water right out. Cocktails and wine by the glass selection is top notch. Jumped right into the main course and couldn't resist the chicken Parm, fantastic as usual. My guest enjoyed the chicken Marsala. Service and timing for the courses was perfect.

Fantastic romantic dinner. We made reservations and were ushered straight in. Beautiful atmosphere, service was first class, food was fantastic, wine was very reasonable. Would recommend again!!

Coming from the Chicago area I understand high restaurant prices, but high $20 - $30 for pasta dishes is on the steep side. That being said, the cavatelli bolognese was outstanding flavor but a very heavy dish. The whole branzino is a lighter alternative and also very tasty. The meatball appetizer is a must; excellent flavor and large enough for a party of 5.

We dined here with some work people and the food was very good!! I ordered the sea bass and it was cooked to perfection! The calamari was my favourite, I could have eaten that all day long lol. I would for sure come back here again and recommend it to friends!

We had a large party for dinner. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. We ordered appetizers and shared some meals. Portions are large. The garlic bread could have fed 2 tables. The chicken parmigiana and spaghetti and meatballs were excellent as was the lobster special. We also shared awesome desserts (strawberry tiramisu was out of the world) and a few bottles of wine. We were able to keep the bill at about $70 per person including tip. This was our favorite meal during our trip.

Okay room. (They are shutting down in August to renovate so maybe it will get some character?) Service was excellent. Wine list pretty limited. Now the food. Octopus was hammered - like chewing rubber. Branzino equally overcooked PLUS stuffed with lemons making it taste like … lemon .. white stuff. Spaghetti with meatballs also a miss. (Meatballs were good - sauce was flavourless. Complete miss.

The restaurant ambiance is nice and causy but prices are out of range. Lowest price for a bottle of wine is 88$, we tool one at 135$ and I've tasted better bottles at 35$ Food is not that great either. Pizza was so so, and Shrimps @9$ each one are bit overwhelming. Don't go there if not needed.

Food was excellent - I had the truffle ricotta cavetelli and my husband had the seafood alfredo. We started with the tuna tartare and shared the ceasar salad. All were excellent as was the service. My only complaint - I ordered the house cab and they failed to tell me they were out of it and I was charged $35 for a glass of wine. That is a little outrageous in my opinion.

We had bottomless brunch here on a Sunday. I can see how this approach would be successful on the strip, but not sure I would do it again. To start, the service was amazing. Our server guides us through the menu and made solid recs. We had 24 amazing oysters! The raspberry croissant was out of this world. Tuna tartare was solid. The side of mushrooms were very good. Both of the pasta dishes we tried were average, which was disappointing. It felt more like buffet pasta, which makes sense with this bottomless approach I guess… if I returned I’d prefer to order al la carte.

Overall, we weren't super impressed with Lavo given the numerous recommendations we had received. It's located on The Strip, so of course we expected higher pricing than your usual dining spot. They offer a very fun and diverse cocktail menu, and we did enjoy the ones that we sampled for ourselves. I must also note the fantastic level of service we received. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, and very receptive and knowledgable of the restaurant's menu. However, my date and I both thought that the food was underwhelming. To make matters worse, the Linguine with Mixed Seafood that I ordered ultimately made me very sick later that night around 2:00 AM. I know it's always a risk you run with seafood that it might "come back later," and I regret to report that this happened with this dish. With that personal mishap aside, you could do better and you could do worse when it comes to dining on The Strip, but Lavo does not get a glowing recommendation from me this time.

Lavo Resturant is overpriced for the average Italian food they provide. However, the service was friendly and impeccable.

I’m the bride that has a panic attack at this restaurant on Saturday. I was practically handcuffed to make the most of their lack of empathy and negligence due to their non refundable 2700 prepaid minimum. For context, I’m a person who often gets told I’m a people pleaser who gets walked on and need to stand up for myself. While that may be true, on my once in a lifetime bachelorette trip, I just wanted to prepay for an experience where I could be safely myself. I would have thought that based on the lavo reputation, a party brunch experience would be set up to have a great time. For starters, when we get in there and as we reserved a table for 7 we are smooshed into a half semi circle coffee-table-like booth set for 6. (Not that it matters and it’s wrong from the start, but for context, I was the largest girl there as I’m 5’10 150lb. The rest of my bridesmaids are extremely petite and short, so it’s not like the booth just couldn’t fit us. It maybe could comfortably fit 4 max.) yet, we were there to celebrate and for a good time, so assuming these people are the experts of their domain, we trusted this table has worked before and tried to just make the most. I asked for a seat for our 7th and was told in a rude huff “um… sure I guess we can pull up a chair” YOU GUESS!? we made the reservation for 7!!!! Prepaid almost a 3k minimum and YOU GUESS?! None of the food or drinks we ordered fit on the table which is what made me so frustrated. We have this huge food platter on our table and no one can comfortably eat it or pour a drink or anything. I worked in food service like this for years, I would eat a bug in my salad to avoid sending something back, but this was absolutely unacceptable. I finally spoke up and we were moved. They said leave everything and go to this new table. When we got there we were scolded by the waitress that we were supposed to bring our drinks. I felt overwhelming whiplash and so angry because this negated what we were just told! All the while these waitresses ( I understand are trying to make their buck, but I’m already overwhelmed and on the verge of tears they’re trying to shove a menu in my face to order more $600 food platters and thousand dollar + bottles) Classless. My first time in Vegas for what should have been the best part of my trip, (I really couldn’t wait for it) I was alienated by the staff that abused our reservation from the start. From being so flustered because I was in complete shock this was happening living breathing humans and having to advocate for a new table just so I could move my arm, I started to not be able to breathe. I could t control it my face started to tingle and I was that persons that started hyperventilating and had to leave property. This restaurant made me feel like the enemy. I spent most of the brunch outside the Venetian trying to regain breathing. After, being so handcuffed to the minimum we prepaid I did all I could to go back in and try to make the most of it. However the day was ruined and this experience pretty much tainted the rest of my day. There was no accountability, not even an “I’m sorry.” We didn’t matter there. How sad is that? The one trip you’re supposed to matter you’re made to feel like you are less than from the beginning. Shame on this place, I pray no bride ever experiences the torture that happened to me. These people are not good humans. it was one of if not the worst dining experiences of my entire life. Do yourself a favor and save the money and abuse.

Really great food. We ordered the garlic bread, carbonara and wagyu meatballs and it was all amazingly tasty, huge portions so you really don’t need a starter and a main each! The place itself also has a great vibe, it was fully booked but didn’t feel to crowded, just enough to keep it feeling like a great place to be. A few odd things to note why it’s not a 5, we were asked to wait at the bar for a table so ordered a drink whilst we were waiting however we then couldn’t transfer to the table bill when our table was ready so had to pay there before we could be seated. The service was also ok, but could do with a slightly cheerier waitress! She was very much head down, one word answers but did get the job done! Finally the restaurant itself is very dark, could hardly see the food which was ok for me but had it been my parents eating they would have hated it.

It started off OK, it’s a nice room, good energy, maybe a bit loud. My friend has a pizza, the Angry Maria. It wasn’t just spicy it was burn your lips hot with chile oil. I ordered the lasagna which I always enjoy at a good Italian restaurant. It was terribly dry, warm not hot, and no sign of cheese. I had to request extra tomato sauce just to eat it. It didn’t help much. They were nice enough to take it off the bill. We asked the waitress for a dessert menu and that’s when things fell apart. She brought us the check. We told here we were interested in dessert so we got the dessert menu. We ordered an expresso (double), a coffee and a gelato dessert. First came the hazelnut log dessert we did not order. We sent it back never to dessert again. Then a like warm single espresso arrived with lukewarm coffee. We asked the waitress to correct the situation. We eventually got a hot coffee but no expresso and no gelatin. The frustration mounted so we finally asked for a check. I will never go back. The couple at the take next to us had an even worse experience and they just got up and left. Find another place for Italian food in LV.

We went to LAVO yesterday evening the restaurant itself was a beautiful venue tucked up at the Palazzo. We went for the signature ‘meat balls’ it’s what they are famous for! We started with pink tuna on avocado and the char grilled octopus both dishes were delicious and the tastes were spot on. We then had ‘the meat balls’ the dish itself is quite large but a strong taste of cheese and the meat balls themselves weren’t really what we expected and think our homemade ones are far better tasting. Still worth a visit but maybe choose a different main!

Fantastic, off the hook food and service! JJ our server was excellent! Lavo is a Las Vegas landmark for great food and fun! One of my all time favorites! The pasta, tomahawk and asparagus were absolutely over the top! The pictures speak for themselves!

Came alone around 6:30pm and was seated immediately. Server was fantastic (Ryan I think?) Did not look much at the menu as he mentioned Veal which is what I was looking to have. I ordered that, a bottle of wine, caprese salad as app, and tiramisu for dessert. Portions are enormous! Prices weren't more than I expected ($150/person for everything I had). Overall it was a great place to choose from while staying at the Palazzo. The staff made the experience.

I loved the food, mocktails, and service! The spaghetti and meatballs were phenomenal! I would definitely eat here again!

I eat the best oysters ever! I have no idea if it was the mood, the vibe, the champagne or the fact that i mixed them with slice of pizza…i just love the place!!!

Reservations are a must arrived a few minutes early so we could have a cocktail tomorrow knowledgeable and quick staff there at the bar. Escorted drawer table right on time the staff and the timing are incredible water right out drinks right out appetizers main course provided for a wonderful experience. Had the meatball for appetizer and some of the bread with pesto, tomato sauce and alfredo sauce please kick the meal off right. Around the table with crispy Chicken chicken parmesan and veal parm. All very tasty.

I ordered a Filet Mignon medium rare. Came out burnt to the very center. How can the chef and waitress not see that it didn't even look like meat? The replacement steak wasn't much better, well done at the center and burnt all over outside. Garlic bread was also unbelievably bad. An old baguette with some disgusting vegetable oil on it. And the place wasn't busy. In fact, there was only one couple in the whole restaurant prior to our arrival. They sat us right next to the couple, elbow to elbow, at a long table. We asked for another table. The hostess tried to ignore that. After we insisted, and the other couple backed us up, they sat us at the same table, but with more distance. We have been staying at Palazzo and Venetian several times a year for the past 15 years. This was our only unpleasant dining experience.

We stayed at The Palazzo to celebrate our anniversary. We made a reservation ahead of time and requested to sit on the patio. The patio has a perfect view of the strip. We were very impressed with the extremely friendly wait staff. They had great recommendations on drinks and food. I ordered the Lemon drop martini. For my main entree I got the chicken Marsala, I would suggest to ask for extra sauce. We received a complimentary fried Oreo dessert since it was our anniversary. We plan to return to this location on our next trip!

I dined here at the suggestion of my Uber driver and sat at the bar. Sliced bread is served with marinara sauce and a sampling of mixed olives. I recommend the exotically delicious charred octopus and the spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs are softly flavorful. The bartenders are fun. The interior is perfect. The restaurant was full, but normal conversations could be had without raising one’s voice.

The front personnel were kind and professional. We came in an hour early and just prayed we could get in and they accommodated us nicely. Started with the beet salad with with pistachio vinaigrette and it was lovely. My husband had the Shrimp Diavolo and enjoyed it but the portion is quite big so he could not finish it. I had the grilled branzino and it did not disappoint. Ended the dinner with rasberry sorbert and it was perfect. Next time I am in Vegas (which will be September) I plan to return with friends. Thank you Lavo

This is the BEST Italian food I have had in a long time. The atmosphere is great and the food and service was fantastic. LOVED every bite. Don't miss out on the Meatball appetizer (4 of us shared it). My Kenwood Artist Series wine was delightful. Hands down, the best meal we ate in Vegas over a 4 day trip.

I searched online for Italian restaurants offering gluten-free options, and Lavo was listed although the menu makes no mention of it. They do have GF spaghetti and penne. But no GF pizza or even bread, so I nibbled on olives while my husband enjoyed the bread and dipping sauce. We shared a green salad, which was good. The pasta dishes were fine, and the portions were huge - we had enough leftovers for another meal. And the tiramisu was delicious. Our server was good; we were somewhat uncomfortable noting that many of her coworkers had masks pulled down below their noses or all the way onto their chins, despite the local mask mandate. Overall, it was a decent meal but not exceptional. I didn't feel there was much effort to make GF diners feel welcome (I do appreciate when they at least mention on the menu that such options are available), though they do offer several choices aside from the pasta.

I don't want to be harsh for no reason. The food waa very good. The gluten free pasta i had was very tasty. The veal parmigiana i had was good. I won't say it was amazing other than the portion was huge. My fiancee had a spaghetti dish that was excellent. Desserts were amazing as well. The 20 layer cake was a great shareable. The restaurant is typical of Vegas and is loud and seating is close to other tables so be prepared to get bumped a few times if you are seated on the aisle. While our server was very good, the restaurant did something i have never has happen before. And i would have put up a fuss but i was a guest. While eating our Caesar salad, which was excellent, the bus staff cleared our plates, or attempted to, while we were eating. Not while a fork was down, but literally as we ate. My plate was removed with leaves of lettuce still on the plate, no question asked. My partner had just put more on her plate when the wait staff tried to remove her plate. As the man grabbed her plate he asked if she was finished and she replied that she was not, so he returned her plate. Now that might have been unusual and odd but it happened three more times during the course of the meal. The final time was with the 20 layer cake. It was shared at the table. About a quarter was left over and was being picked at by a few of us. Suddenly, a bus person threw some dishes on the remaining piece of cake and removed it. No questions, no concern, jus gone. A few of us were still eating the leftover piece. It happened so quickly, we were shocked. I have never been in a restaurant where our plates were removed with food on them without being asked. For the price of dishes, better service was expected.

I went for the Sunday Brunch and had a drink at the bar before my table was ready. Myself and fellow guests got to view the menu. The servers are amazing and very attentive. The food choices were amazing! Definitely go with an appetite. This was a great experience.

We went to have a special night. Our reservation was for 8:30. It was not crowded but we were not seated until after 9:00. We had to ask for the bread three times before finally getting some at 9:30. Appetizers were delicious. However the main meals were awful. Chicken was overcooked and dry. Pasta dish was also overdone-tasted like it had been thrown into the microwave to reheat. Very disappointing meal.

I heard lots of great things about this place, but was a little disappointed with the service. I hosted a holiday dinner with clients and enjoyed the 16oz. meatball appetizer and 20 layer cake for dessert. Our server was not attentive and my water glass sat empty until I asked for more. Funny, there were 5 people, but they brought out bread for 4. Maybe an off night, but we had a nice time. The lighting was a little dark so difficult to get through the menu. We were placed next to the kitchen so staff traffic was busy.

So we had a nice dinner. The waiter tried hard and was nice but kept forgetting everything. They were accommodating since we were late. The meat ball was really good!

Ate here with 10 people for a business meal. First off they won't seat anyone until ALL the party shows up. One person was 20 min late and they made us wait at the bar. Thats reason alone not to go back. Second they say 10 of us at a table literally not large enough for 6. It was comical. They said this was the only table available. Service was SLOW. Food was decent. The meatball and garlic bread appetizer was probably the best. Bathroom attendants! ARGH. I won't rush back.

Meatballs are amazing. Either the 16oz appetizer or the spaghetti and meatballs. Carbonara was so rich we couldn’t finish it. Great food.

The Zitoni Genevese was absolutely amazing, prepared with melt in your mouth short ribs and onions. It reminded me of the wonderful Genevese dishes I've eaten on the Amalfi Coast. The service was great and the ambiance was beautiful. We will definitely return to this restaurant on our next visit to Vegas.

A must visit and eat while in Las Vegas, as this place is an unbelievable destination for a meal. We come here as often as possible with each visit to the STRIP. What an incredible destination, even for the most picky eaters.

I made a reservation for 9 back in March, to celebrate a bachelorette party. I specifically called the restaurant to ask about party brunch, endless brunch and a La carte options. I was told by the woman I spoke to, that there was no longer party brunch, endless brunch was available on Sundays, and that there would be an a la carte menu available for us coming in on a Saturday. I just brought the group into Lavo and we were given menus for Endless brunch. When we asked about the a al carte menu, the server told us that a la carte was not available and that Lavo had never done a la carte menus. No apology, just defensiveness. This is such an unprofessional way to handle things. I'm frustrated that I called in to clarify the menu options and was given incorrect information, which resulted in our group needing to find alternate brunch reservations so last minute. We had an aerials class coming up and were not able to stay for an endless brunch. I also want to note that the menu itself advertised Endless brunch being available on Sundays, and today is a Saturday.

This place has an in house DJ playing music that I do not want to pay $250+ for dinner. We expected a some what quiet dinner, no way. Evan on the patio outside along the strip the music was too loud!! HipHop music is not our thing. We did not stay long.

As a solo traveler, I sat at the bar. Monica and William behind the bar are friendly and quick. I had tuna tartare, lobster cocktail, spaghetti tomato and basil, and onion, tomato, and jalapeño omelette. I was wishing for a bigger stomach as I had to forgo so many other yummy entrees.

There was 15 of us celebrating our nieces 21st birthday. We had a wonderful time and it was absolutely delicious. We planned a menu and it was served family style and we had calamari margarita pizza bruschetta, and. anti pasta for our appetizer, which everything was amazing. Then we had Caesar salad salad, which honestly was the best Caesar salad I’ve had anywhere. Then we had chicken, Parm and pasta vodka for our entrées and broccoli, grilled asparagus and french fries for our side. Everything was delicious couldn’t complain about one thing. Then they brought out dessert which was a chocolate, peanut butter, cake, and cheesecake and fried Oreos and of course those were scrumptious. The atmosphere of the service was absolutely the best we have been going to Vegas for 20 years and have never went there to eat, but now we will make that a plan every time we go kudos to the staff they were very attentive and treated us like we were royalty

The menu sounds so tasty but if you're Black American beware! We ordered to go and returned everything except my Seafood Alfredo because it tasted so good. Thirty minutes after finishing my meal, I became nauseous to the point of vomiting and remained that way the entire night. The only thing that soothed me was some detox formula that my husband brought along. I called the restaurant and they never returned my call. No concern whatsoever. WE are at a minimum trying to get a refund. I would sue but food poisoning is difficult to prove and I didn't go to the hospital because we are still in the COVID pandemic.

Decided to dine in this beautiful restaurant since we were staying in the Palazzo. Wanted to make it a finale dinner for our stay here, and it was lovely! Fantastic service by Emily and Ben and the food was outstanding!

Lovely food, we got lobster and mixed seafood linguine for mains Atmosphere was really nice Adam our server was great, really attentive and professional

Was at Lavo for NYE with the family - had a great experience starting with the booking process etc. Food was great (the Wagyu meatball, tomahawk stake and lobsters were amazing) wine list had a lot to like and service was good despite a full room. They gave us special access to the patio for a great view of the fireworks at midnight with champagne toast. The DJ was great too. Would highly recommend the place! Not sure about the mixed feedback on the food from other reviewers- we are quite picky eaters and we absolutely loved it. Thanks Lavo team!

A great Italian restaurant and the atmosphere is really nice we truly enjoyed the food and service it is a great place for a romantic dinner or just a great night out.

Besides a great martini we had their signature dish. . . The Meatball. Highly recommend. Our bartender Cindy was such a delight and one of the hardest workers I've ever met.......just ask her!

The service was top notch from the hostess to the water refilling and the wait staff. The meatball app was $16 and the pasta was in the $31 and up range. The highlight was the inside (see pictures), it was refined with a touch of modern. My food ratings below. Corresponding pictures attached. Carbonara-atracks rated 8.5/10, excellent cracked black pepper taste, enough cream but a bit more would have been nice. Foccia bread and Marinara-atracks rated 7.7/10. Marinara was good, the bread had excellent flavor but it wasn’t super soft as foccia typically is. The Meatball (appetizer)-atracks rated 9.3/10, wagyu, tender and a dollop of ricotta. Zito Geneovese-atracks rated 9.1/10, shredded short rib with great flavor and hearty noodles.

Where to start. Well, despite booking a table well in advance and arriving a few minutes ahead of our time, we were told we had to wait until they had a table available. This ended up being a 20 minute wait. Once finally seated, we chose our brunch selection and drinks. Half of us had Mimosa's and the other half had Bloody Marys. The selection of juices we had to go with the prosecco was served in plastic cups whereas every other table in the restaurant clearly had small glass jugs for their juice. Also, our prosecco was never left on the table whereas, again, every other table had a bottle of prosecco left. As for the Bloody Mary, which I had, it was disgusting! It was very watery and very salty. A second glass arrived having hardly drunk any of the first one, so I tried it and it was just as gross. I had them removed from the table and the bill. Frankly I wanted to climb over the bar and show them how to make it properly. No one came back to ask if I wanted a different drink. In fact, no one ever came back to our table for anything, we had to flag people down all the time. We were left completely unattended. When it came to dessert, we noticed that everyone else in the restaurant had been brought the dessert trolley to chose from, but we did not. They simply told us what they had and when we couldn't decide, said they would bring a selection. Fine, but why didn't they bring us the trolley like they had done to every other table in the restaurant. Not impressed and we really didn't want to leave a tip AT ALL since we had been completely forgotten about - but, since it is customary, we left the lowest possible amount when paying by card. On top of all that disappointment, the food was nothing special, and either lukewarm or cold, for the extortionate prices they charged . All very basic dishes that you can get anywhere and everywhere - I wouldn't exactly call it "fine dining"!

For our final night in Las Vegas, my mother and I decided to book ourselves into LAVO - promising a friendly "chic" atmosphere with fine takes on Italian dishes. We arrived a little late and were seated near the back corner of the restaurant by a lovely host, and shortly thereafter our server arrived. I'm sure our server was nice... not that we could hear her over the cacophony of a bachelorette party seated in the (not so) private dining area behind us. They were making such a loud noise that we could barely hear ourselves think! Their noise, in turn, caused every group around us to speak louder - creating an uncomfortable atmosphere that it seems the staff had no interest in resolving. After our dinner, we commented on this to the server, who promptly began ignoring us since we complained. This is not a reflection on the server themselves, but on the organization of the establishment, and the brutal tipping culture gripping American restaurants. This brings me to my next point: the price. Our starter was wonderful; a 16oz meatball of Wagyu beef, priced well for the meal you receive at $31, with sausages and all other lovely things, served in a marinara sauce with a burrata topping. We were recommended this by both our server and those who recommended the restaurant to us - and we were not disappointed. Should you visit, this appetizer is a must-have, and certainly bumped the rating of the restaurant up. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the cocktail - in particular their take on the espresso martini, made with tequila instead of vodka. These worked well as our drinks at the start, but were a little steep on the cost - admittedly to be expected at a higher-class dining venue. Our mains were a tale of two dishes. My mother tried the carbonara, which she claims was one of the best she had ever eaten - and after trying some myself, I was inclined to believe! On the other hand, I was bitterly disappointed by the burrata ravioli. at a cost of $34 (excluding tax) I was presented with seven (7) pieces of pasta in a very shallow layer of sauce. This works out to just under, or just over if you include the tax, five dollars per piece of ravioli. That's around half the hourly wage of a server per piece of pasta. Needless to say, I don't believe I'm sounding greedy when I add that this was not enough to constitute a full main course, nor fit the price tag. I didn't mention this to the staff, as the service was slow enough that I felt if we complained again we would never get to leave! The venues merits should not be brushed over, however. The atmosphere besides the noise was nice, and the decorations were tasteful. The drinks, although expensive, were well presented (and tasty!) and the location within the Palazzo at the Venetian Resort was easy to find and convenient for us as hotel guests. I feel despite these positives that the service was too slow for a restaurant of this caliber, and that the staff could have been more considerate in handling our comments. Would I visit again? Perhaps, to try something a bit more... hearty... on the menu. Would I recommend LAVO? If you fancy good cocktails and a loud atmosphere, sure, but for a quiet dinner? Not my cup of tea.

I had the lamb chip and my wife had a pasta dish. Both were terrible. Plus we had to wait 45 min past our reservation time. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Visited here after wedding. I have to say we were treated like royalty. The staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and were really fantastic with my daughter, which is usually a good barometer about how a restaurant views it’s customers. Must have the famous meatball, so worth it.

The food was good at LAVO in The Palazzo, but they didn't give us time to enjoy it. We ordered Organic Mixed Greens and Classic Caesar salads, which were nice, but our entrees (Chicken Parmigiano and Spaghetti Carbonara) arrived before we were a third through with the salads. So . . . do they make these entrees in advance and keep them warm? Do they not pay any attention to how guests are progressing through their meals? Do they want us out so they can bum rush the next table? Yes, the food was good, but the experience wasn't. TIP: * For a better meal, try SUSHISAMBA, also in The Venetian Resort complex (see my review, "Eclectic eatery").

We stayed at The Palazzo for the first time and the weather was terrible. We decided not to leave the resort for dinner and try Lavo. What a disappointment. If you like gummy pasta, this is your place. Never again for us. There are dozens of better options for Italian food.

Yes! Definitely worth the hype! Made reservations for dinner for 5 for my birthday. Restaurant offers outdoor or indoor seating. We chose to sit indoors. We ordered the famous 1lb meatball and garlic bread. Both were amazing!! For dinner we wanted the veal but they didn’t have it, which is why this review is 4 stars and not 5. We had Penne Seafood Alfredo, Chicken Parmasean, Cavatelli Bolognase and Spaghetti Carbanaro. The chicken parm is very large. Enough for 2-3 people. All the meals were very good. Only improvement would be a few more scallops in the Penne Seafood Alfredo. Topped the meal off with a birthday dessert of deep fried Oreos!

Just okay Italian meal for Vegas. We skipped the Appetizers and went straight for the salads which were great. The Roasted Beets which were a very tasty combination of goat cheese, bits of citrus, spring greens and the beets, and my wife had the Mixed Greens which were just as satisfying. The entrees were a little disappointing. My Chicken Marsala was pleasing to look at (had high hopes when delivered), but was over-cooked, unseasoned and with a bland sauce. My wife's Salmon was the same - poorly seasoned and uninspired. Prices were what you would expect from the nicer Vegas restaurants. Wine menu was limited and very expensive - even for Vegas Service was excellent Atmosphere was fashionable Italian meets chic club setting? Seems like the couldn't quite find an identity. They have a DJ, if that tells you anything. While there, we heard everything from 70's rock (even Hendrix) to dance club music. Cocktail dresses and casual dude was the dress.

Lavo - Good Italian at the Palazzo In June, my wife had several meetings at the Venetian, with dinners every night. On the first night, her group dined at Lavo, and from her report to me, I juggled some reservations, and scored a table at Lavo, the next night. Now, Lavo seemed to have a bit of a split personality, in that it’s an Italian fine-dining restaurant, a bar, and then also a nightclub. This is for the restaurant. I was promptly seated at a nice 2-top, in the spacious dining room, and had a glass of Masi (my favorite Amarone producer in Italy) Masianco Pinot Grigio in hand, as I pored over the menu: Charred Octopus w/ celery, endive, red wine vinaigrette, fennel, oregano - this was an excellent dish, and a departure from the Spanish/Portugese prep that I have mostly had for Octopus - nice departure at that. Roasted Beets w/ goat cheese, citrus, toasted almonds, sun dried tomato vinaigrette - well, the Pinot Grigio went well with the acid in the goat cheese, plus the earthiness of the beets, but I added J Vineyards Pinot Noir (for more “earthy notes”). It was a good addition. Brick Oven Salmon Oreganato w/ seasoned breadcrumbs, lemon, white wine, garlic butter - this dish was ordered to match the wines that I had. I am firmly convinced that Salmon pairs with both Pinot Gris/Grigio and Pinto Noir, better than almost all other dishes, and this version did a great job. Now, the interior is lovely, and elegant. The tables were well-spaced, and the lighting nice. My service was very good, with no glitches. The noise level was quite low, even as the room filled up. Had I been able to dine with my wife, we could have conversed easily. Now, in the area, where her group dined the evening before, she gave the ambient noise-level a “moderate,” but she was in a smaller dining area, and with a group. On my experience, it was wonderfully quiet. I will return, but hope to dine as a couple next time, in this lovely venue.

This restaurant is beautiful and also warm and elegant. The staff is amazing and helpful. Of course the food was fantastic. We really enjoyed it. It was the best dinner we had in Las Vegas. I would certainly go back.

Tina tartare appetizer was inedible - tuna was not fresh. Carbonara sauce was watery - both pastas were cold. And timing of bringing out the entrees was off - clearly the pastas had been sitting for a while. Pizza and Caesar salad were good. Would not recommend given your options in Vegas.

Typical Vegas service.... very fake.... 'we've got a great table for you '...... before being seated at a rubbish table. Our server was barely friendly, food was okay, not worth the money. Wouldn't go again

Whilst the food was fairly tasty, we felt the menu was lacking in variety. The calamari I had as a starter tasted a little oily and overly fried. The meatballs I chose for my main course were nice, but overall I wasn’t particularly impressed.

Party brunch, which means you eat overpriced, mediocre brunch/lunch food but experience a club-like atmosphere in the middle of the afternoon while wearing neon visors and waving around bacon & egg flashing lights. To their credit, the music was popping and I did enjoy being able to dance on (wobbly) tables. The decor was cute and it was certainly an interesting, only-in-Vegas experience. However, the overall experience was unsatisfactory primarily due to the following reasons: 1. Service - though the bus boy was nice, the waiter over-promised and under-delivered. For example, we asked three times for our eggs Florentine which didn’t come out, and when we asked to cancel the order and get a refund, they said they issued a refund but didn’t (it was still on the final bill). Additionally, when we were told by two separate employees that they would comp our pizza since they dropped it, they actually didn’t. We brought these items up to the waiter when we received the final receipt (~$1,000 when it should’ve been ~$920) and were given such a negative attitude. He claimed that the items were comped but that wasn’t reflected in the total amount. 2. The food - the only good plates were the spaghetti carbonara, seafood Alfredo, French toast roll ups, and the Caesar salad. The chicken and waffles were too dry, the breakfast pizza was chalky and overcooked, the asparagus was limp, and the truffle fries were cold and lacked any semblance of truffle flavor. The meatball was okay. 3. The line - the check-in process was disorganized and we had to wait in line, even though we had arrived by the allotted check in time. This is more of a minor complaint, but needed to be said for transparency. 4. The drinks - we got three pitchers (sangria and 2 of the little pink dress), and essentially received pitchers of ice with a smattering of alcohol and some other liquids. Furthermore, they wouldn’t provide us with tap water, and so up-charged us with the expensive water bottles, yet when we went to bar, we received a cup of tap water with no complaint. Overall, I’m mainly disappointed about the fact we overpaid for items we didn’t consume. If you decide to come here for a special occasion, know that you’re likely to be up-charged and will overpay for the experience.

Had a reservation through Open Table. We showed up five minutes early and they seated us five minutes late. Our server was nice, but that is where it ended. Water was poured and bread was delivered to the table. We decided on our meals and as soon as we ordered, they came and took the bread away. Thought they might bring fresh to have with dinner, nope. Our food was delivered and it was eh. No finesse to the plating. Mr. B had the seafood pasta and it looked dry. I ordered the Chicken Marsala. It was served on top of spinach with mushrooms and there was a pinch of Marsala sauce. We found the food boring and really lacking sauce and seasoning. There are so many options when in Vegas, and I would skip Lavo.

The food was excellent but the service was exceptional. Our waiter Antony took care of my party of 5 old friends as if we were valued members of his own family. It made for a truly memorable dining experience.

Lavo has a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. The service was very good and the waiter was attentive. There was good timing on the drinks and food – which is always important. Cocktails are very expensive here, so bring some coin. A traditional Makers Mark Manhattan is $23 and a draw of beer is $14. The food prices are fair and the quality is very good. We did not sit at the bar, but it looks like a nice spot to have some drinks. There are plenty of menu options at Lavo. Over all, a very enjoyable evening….and I recommend Lavo to those looking for a fine dining Italian venue.

We loved this restaurant. We went for a late night dinner and were seated right away. The hostess was very friendly and the service was very prompt. We loved the food and decided to go back there once more in the same week! We specially enjoyed the gnocchi with creamy mushroom sauce, the Chicken Marsala was easily one of the best I had! Kids tried the pizza and chicken parm which was good too. The portion sizes are mostly enough for one and not really shareable though. Overall I would definitely visit here again!

And now a review of the dining experience. I started with a Sangria, freshly made and delicious. My friend had an Apple Martini which arrived with a fly, which was promptly taken away and remade. We split a chicken parmesian dish and a cavatelli with tomato basil sauce dish. The large portion of chicken was breaded well and thinly pounded with a delicious sauce. The cavatelli was homemade and light, but felt that portion size was small. Both items were delicious, but really needed to be, at very least, hot. The attentiveness of our server and others was outstanding. Suggestion, for an upscale Italian restaurant the choice of music should be reevaluated. Maybe, include a little Frank Sinatra, instead of the pounding music that was being played continuously throughout our meal.

Is not the first time we come here, in fact we like it, but in this time we got an unexpected guest at our table, a little cucaracha from the bread, yes, and the only thing they did? Change of table. So sorry for their customer service and value of our visit

Ive been a few times and i hate how you never get sat at the correct time. There is always a wait to be seated here. My food (spag carb) was highly average. Hardly any bacon/pancetta, way too creamy and no pepper. My partner loved his chicken parmigiana. I mainly brought him to try the oreo zepolle and it didnt dissapoint its so delicious. Service was ok, nothing outstanding they done their job. Atmosphere was fine, and didnt wait too long for any courses.

We were hoping for a great Italian dinner, but unfortunately, it didn’t make the grade. Corey, our server was attentive and friendly. Our table, in a corner, was cozy and quiet. The veal parmigiana, however, was tough, dry and had very little sauce, cheese and flavor. I will say that the portion was huge. Actually, much too large for one person, but still based on the taste, a moot point. My husband’s chicken parmigiana was similar. The wedge salad was edible, but the bacon cubes had to be cut ( which was no easy feat) to avoid needing the Heimlich maneuver and the dressing was runny and a little sharp. The best part of the meal was the Tiramisu. We would probably not go back.

Fantastic food Italian food as good as any best of the best equivalent restaurant you would find in Italy. Giant meatball was huge hit for my son (and had a piece of it too and it was delicious). The spaghetti was excellent. We booked here because it opened at 5 pm (some restaurants do not open until 5:30 pm) before our 7:00 pm Mystere show across the street at Treasure Island. So glad we did!

We loved Lavo! Service and food were outstanding. We had the meatball for an appetizer and it was amazing. From the ribeye to the sea bass to the rigatoni, all were delicious. The only problem was no fridge in the room for leftovers since the portions were large. Highly recommend Lavo!

Food was incredible. Order the meat balls. They are so worth it. The house salad dressing is a must. The twenty layer peanut butter cake was the perfect finish. Ask for Anthony to serve you.

First time, first night in Las Vegas, we tried out LAVO, and Italian restaurant located in the Palazzo Hotel. We ordered a couple of Hendrick's martinis, up, at the bar during the short wait for our reservation. On that note, make reservations in Las Vegas as far out as you can. The martinis were good, but we would have preferred Beefeaters. With tip, the two drinks were $52. Good though. they bring out complimentary focaccia bread with a simple marinara and some olives. With the hectic time getting from the airport to the hotel, checking in, and barely made our 8:00pm reservations on time, so the bread was a good gin sopper-upper. The dozen raw oysters, $34 were very good. I think we must have let the wine steward select the wine, as the Galerie was very good, but was a bit pricey for us at $130. But when you take into consideration on how many pushes it would take on a slot machine to make it a $50 bottle, you come to realize that money has a different value here. For the salad course, I ordered the Caesar, $19, and she got the Chopped Louie, $26. Both good, but really we should have split one of them. Check out that bread stick she got! Entree time. They were pushing the grilled sea bass ($42), and I bit. I also got the side of asparagus ($13). She got the truffle gnocchi ($32) (not shown). Both underwhelming. The bass seemed a bit charred and could have been firmer. I also think cherry tomatoes are a cop-out as a general rule. Her gnocchi was undercooked to our taste, very doughy. We probably should have sent it back. But maybe this is how homemade gnocchi is supposed to be? No dessert, as we were full and had a show to attend. This is a professionally run restaurant, and the service impeccable. I am giving it a 4/5 stars, to give them the benefit of the doubt on us ordering the wrong dishes. I should have stuck with my gut and got something more traditional such as the chicken parmesan, or some sort of pasta. On a minor note, the music was too loud, and a bad genre too. But, the decor and dimly lit ambiance is very nice, and I would go back expecting a five-star experience. We really did have a nice time.

The food was very overpriced for what we got. Calamari was very plain. Burrata was a cold firm mozzarella ball (not creamy at all). We were told that the kitchen was very busy and that we should order our entrees immediately. We didn’t even finish our appetizers and first cocktail before the entrees came out. We were clearly being rushed out so they could turn the table. Very disappointing experience.

The food was fine. We had oysters, charcuterie, salmon and Chilean sea bass. It was all fine. Generous portions and decent food, but nothing special. The space is fun and laid back. But our server Dave was amazing! He made the meal. We could have chatted with him all night. Dave - thanks for making a meh meal super fun! You were just wonderful. Every time we drink Flowers or New Zealand is mentioned, we will think of you!

If you love garlic bread this place is a must. I could have made a meal out of the garlic bread with all of the sauces to dip. The food was very good and the environment was up scale but I feel the prices were high for Italian food!

LAVO is an elegant classic Italian restaurant with a fusion of flavors. Pizza is a great option as an appetizer plus the house made pasta and veal is excellent. However, the chicken parmigiana is outstanding!!

I really wanted to enjoy this place. My wife and I arrived at our reservation time and weee promptly seated. We gave our drink orders. It took about 25 min to receive our drinks. We placed our dinner order. Then two large groups showed up and we were left to the wind… While we were still waiting for our appetizer to arrive the two large groups had already received their drinks and had multiple plates on their tables. Our appetizer came out cold. The server never checked in with us so we weren’t able to say anything. Salads came out and they weee fine. The main courses came out cold and not very appealing. Perhaps the enjoyment of the meal was not as great because of the poor service leading up to that point. The atmosphere and vibe was very nice, but I don’t think we will be returning as this experience left little more to desire.

Entering you would think you were at a contemporary family restaurant that serves pancakes and meatloaf, not the high-end Italian cuisine that it purports to offer. I did enjoy my salmon creation that was cooked to "my" perfection and had a visually and tasteful creation of shredded and julienned root vegetables, all the while listening to 80's rock music. Wow - I felt like I was in Italy! Wait staff was friendly and engaging but the prices are high. Buyer beware.... This ain't your Nonna's Italian bistro....

The best thing going for this restaurant is the atmosphere. We were a party of 5 and only 2 people liked their food. There was nothing special about the food and the waitress was kind of snobby. Never again. Find somewhere else to have good italian food.

Came in for dinner with coworkers. View was pretty amazing, and the staff was attentive. However the food wasn’t as good as I expected...it was OK but not great. Music was a little loud as well. Come for the view and maybe drinks, but o don’t think I’d eat here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Lavo. The food and ambience was excellent. Special mention to Chris and Joe for their fantastic service. They were continuously attentive and engaging. We will definitely visit again.

Anniversary 47 yrs, 11:am, Hostess was very engaging. Table had white linen with a paper table covering, told the hostess we were locals and she replied that we were the first local she had meet. Well on to the review, minus 1 star for the waiter not informing us that coffee and juices were not part of the Brunch, charged 22.00 for the coffee and 12 for the juice. We requested 2 Cheese Danish, 2 Croissants and a sugar Doughnut the Croissants were crushed down, and the Danish was small, everything was brought out on a small plate, others were served with baskets. First course was a mushroom and Fontina omelet and Eggs Florentine, the mushrooms were finely diced in the omelets which was good but the florentine dish was missing the Pancetta and the eggs were cooked hard, i was offered another serving but opted for Eggs Benedict which was a better option, Bacan and Sausage was good not greasy, portion of home fries was very small for 2 people and just warm. 2nd course was Oysters which were fresh, Seafood salad Calamari was tough and chewy, 2 small shrimp and a few small pieces of Scallop, Tuna Tartare was fishy smelling with a 1/4 inch of Avocado, 1 star for a hair my wife found on the toast at this point we stopped eating from the Raw Bar, we did show our waiter and he kind of blew it off and apologize and removed the plates. 3rd course we shared the Waffles and asked for an extra portion of Blueberry Compote, the waffles were warm the plate contained 5 blueberries and a few Un ripened strawberries, a very small bowl of compote was brought to the table after we finished with the waffles. Last course was Fettuccine Alfredo and Spinach and Artichoke Pizza, Mushrooms and Grilled Asparagus the Alfredo dish was discolored at the top like it sat under heat lamps while the inside of the dish was warm it lacked creamy Alfredo, chicken was diced in small cubes, the dish was unpalatable. Pizza came out with only mushrooms it was very tasty the Asparagus was burnt the Mushrooms were chewy but tasty. Dessert was lacking, items were not available, Cheesecake was lacking flavor, Chocolate Cake with Ganache filling was good. Conclusion. While other waiters had less tables they were very attentive. Finding a hair on our food I did expect Management addressing the issue, "We were not looking for a comp and continued with our meal" the fish was not a smash because I feel it was sitting out and not refrigerated not being cool to the taste, being from the coastal area of Maine i know fresh Seafood. The Brunch was all you can eat, why would i ask for larger or more portions lacking in flavor or freshness. I wished the coffee and juices were part of the Brunch or the waiter telling us there was a surcharge. Both my wife and i was very disappointed in the Brunch, with this being said quality was lacking and i stand by my 2 star rating, I really think there are better offerings for 152.00 with out tip.

We had just got married and chose this restaurant because there were things on the menu our children could eat. It's hard to find a nice restaurant with food that fussy children eat. The food was really nice. We ordered the Salumi Formaggi platter for 1 of our entrees definitely enough food on this lovely plate. The kids shared the calamari which was also delicious. All the mains were very nice a little big for the kids but they still did well in finishing. We decided not to get desert as we had a wedding cake but our waitress brought out a tiramisu for my husband and I to share which was a lovely gesture. My husband does not drink coffee at all but surprise he loved the tiramisu. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food came out quickly and tasted lovely. No complaints at all. Great decor and ambiance. It was so hard to chose a restaurant here but we felt we made the correct choice.

I expected a little more given the price, but I guess this is Las Vegas. The restaurant was crowded and the tables are small, and our party of four barely had enough room on the table to hold the food and drinks we ordered. Very little room to move from table to table so servers were constantly reaching over people. We had a reservation and still had to wait. I love Arrabbiata sauce and although the pasta itself was nice the sauce had a weird burned aftertaste. None of us finished our entrees. Location in the Palazzo is convenient.

Was recommended to go here, but honestly it was the worst meal and evening of the holiday. They lost our reservation to start with, but seated us anyway. Starters were great, octopus and giant meatball, then main courses came out cold and tasteless. Manager could see I was upset and came over to deal with the situation which was dealt with extremely professionally which is the sign of a good resturant. I personally feel its very over rated. Staff are very nice and professional, but it's nothing special atall.

I have been to Lavo several times over the past couple of years. The food is consistently good and service high end as well But our visit this week left a little to be desired. For one, the bus staff came around to the table at least five or six times to see if he could clear dishes when we were clearly not finished our meal. At one point I had a fork full of chicken in my mouth when he was asking me if he could take my plate. The second item is something I should have caught, but unfortunately, I let it slip by. With my entrée, I was asked if I want marinara or butter sauce with the side pasta. I was in the middle of a conversation and didn’t put much thought into it while choosing the marinara. The server could have let us know that the the pasta does not come with the meal and was an additional $18. Upselling is expected, but shouldn’t be a trick. Let the customer know that what he’s ordering is going to be a charge. I didn’t even realize it was on the bill until I got home and looked at the itemization. Other than that, the food and service was fine.

This is a beautiful restaurant. Service was below average. Food was also below average. Too crowded on Friday evening meant unreasonably lengthy dinner. Never received dessert we ordered so we cancelled it and left. No excuse for that especially when 1 meatball is $31 and garlic bread is $20. Multiple better choices for Italian at the Venetian for far less money.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Vegas. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. Our waiter was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. We weren’t rushed and really enjoyed our meal. It is a wonderful fine dining experience. Portions are large. The meatball appetizer is a must have.

Got a table thanks to the concierge at the Venetian. The table was wobbly but one of the servers fixed it with spacers. The food was excellent, steak was tasty and cooked to perfection. Very limited wine by the glass, it seems they want you to purchase bottles, makes it easier for the servers. The table and lack of wine by the glass reduced the rating from 5 to 4 stars

My first time at this place. I had high expectations but my chicken Marsala was not good. There was a Little Rock in my food. We ordered side of rosemary potatoes and it wasn’t good either. All together expensive food for so so food. Not gonna go back.

We booked this restaurant for October for 6 people. We are all staying at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. Two weeks after this reservation was booked and confirmed, the restaurant called and canceled our reservation because another group wanted our time slot. This was a very disappointing situation and concern for anyone who books a reservation and tries to organize their time in Las Vegas. What has happened to first come, first serve? We are all customers who recommend restaurants and possibly return.

Wonderful place to have dinner. The ambiance is modern and classy. Service was spot on. Adam our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. He had great recommendations regarding the menu. We ordered pretty much what he recommended and was not disappointed. Definitely get the garlic bread as an appetizer. Probably the best garlic bread I ever tasted thus far. The bread is about 12 inches long and you get three dipping sauces. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. Absolutely fabulous. Meatballs are the Waygu beef literally melts in your mouth. My husband ordered the Crispy Chicken "Dominick". The skin is what gives the crispy but the meat was juicy and tender. Very flavorful. Something I will get next time. The biggest reason we chose LAVO today was the seasonal holiday deserts. I chose the White chocolate Christmas ornament. A chocolate ball which they melt and there is frozen gelato shaped cake with whip creams and strawberries inside the dome that they flame to melt the chocolate. Such and amazing presentation and production of the dessert. LAVO restaurant did an excellent job regarding covid restrictions. Booths were separated with plexi glass partitions and tables were well separated over 6 feet. I felt very safe dining indoors. LAVO is located in the lobby of the Palazzo hotel and casino. Make sure to make reservations due to the covid restrictions. As a local, LAVO ranks high on my list as one of my favorites. Definitely will return again and again.

Service was good, drinks crazy expensive. The meatball appetizer was good, bread and red sauce good. Chicken parmesan was just okay....our group had a good time around the table.

We visited Lavo with another couple for a Sunday brunch. Being from Scotland, we were keen to find a brunch where we could sit outside, enjoy the nice weather and have a good bottomless brunch and Lavo was just the place for it. We found it a little tricky to book an outside table for brunch in Vegas. There’s lots of brunch options but not many where you can guarantee an outside table. The menu is a standard price (a few items have supplements) as is the bottomless drink option. We had oysters, tuna tartare, seafood salad, pasta and pizza all to share - we even attempted a wee dessert plate for afterwards. It was all delicious and the waiter that served us was wonderful. Very charismatic, really friendly and helpful when I came to advising us what to go for - nothing was a problem for him. Even when us sun seekers found ourselves getting a little too warm in the June sunshine, he helped organise a couple of a parasols for us to give us a little shade. All in all, I would absolutely recommend Lavo and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Went here for our anniversary, the food was excellent and staff was top notch! Highly recommend! Our server Cristain was super attentive. He brought us an amazing dessert (can't remember the name of it but it was fried oreo's in an italian batter with some type of ice cream for dipping).

Very nice decor and ambiance, excellent service and the food was of high quality. Portions are huge so you could share an entree. All in all a really nice dining experience at a good price for Vegas.

One of us has been to Lavo before and the other has not. Overall this is a great restaurant. SERVICE The service here is quite nice. The waiter was extremely pleasant and at one point the manager even came by just to say hello and to make sure everything is going great which was a small gesture that went a long way. The food didn’t take long to get to us either. FOOD It’s great. Very flavorful and virtually everything we ordered was delicious and very filling. The drinks were also very good and there is nothing I can nitpick on here. I don’t think you can go wrong coming here for a nice dinner. Make sure to order the Garlic bread and don’t count the calories for the day! The pastas were good, the chicken parm and the Tiramisu might be the top 3 I’ve had in the world.

Lavo restaurant is amazing! My first time eating there and it was definitely a vibe, the food was amazing and so was the ambiance. Chicken parm was excellent!

Very nice restaurant, the ambiance was very appealing, the wait staff was very attentive to our table. The food was amazing. The Crispy Chicken “Dominick” was delicious. The servings were well above what is served at other restaurants.

We sat on patio on a 99 degree Thursday evening. Service was so slow. We waited forever for everything. Water came to table with no ice in it. My wine had something floating in it. Dover sole was the special and highly recommended. I ordered it. It was lukewarm and on the dry side. For $62 I expected more. Server offered to take back, but what could you possibly do to warm it up, as it was already dry. Other items were very good…Delicious bread, great Caesar salad, and my husband enjoyed his salmon and sides of mashed potatoes and spinach. Water was replenished throughout the warm evening. We were celebrating our anniversary and had no acknowledgement. LAVO was ok but for prices and service wouldn’t go back. Rather go to Joes Stone Crab or Water Grill where service and food are always r top notch.

wonderful place i visted this October 2019 the food is great just a all around excellent meal, great for a first date or with family

Really enjoyed coming here and meeting such wonderful people and hanging out with friends and family and having fantastic food

We went for our post wedding brunch. We had mediocre food and service. We were presented with our bill including gratuity which was expected. We paid $500 cash and the remainder on a card with receipt to show this. Credit card statement shows full amount and shows that the amount from the signed receipt was reversed and a new charge for $500 more was re-ran. Honestly just super disappointed in the Palazzo for having employees who are crooked and deceitful. We will dispute the charges and progress legally, however, I will never return and would advise anyone else to pay close and special attention to your credit card statements. We are awaiting their “auditor” to do an investigation but In speaking to AMEX it’s clearly detailed as to what happened. So unfortunate!!

This was just okay. The serving sizes were massive. The calamari alone would have been a meal for two. The outdoor seating is nice. Overall, it is a nice place to go to kick back and relax, but it wasn't anything remarkable.

We had a party of 8 with a reservation and were seated on the terrace. It was a lovely evening. Our food was prompt and hot. WeWe shared We shared meatball appetizers which were delicious.

We were a large group, we were drinking eating and the service was perfect! We had the meatball (which can be shared by 5), eggplant, fried calamari for apps. All were amazing From steaks to pasta - you can’t make a wrong choice! Defantley Go there if u are in Vegas!!

We had a great night. The ambiance is so good with the city lights. The food is good and the staff is very accomodating especially Naveen, Ganesh!

We loved LAVO! My sister, three cousins and I are in town for Lady Gaga and ate at LAVO pre-concert. Outstanding anbiace! Service was impeccable and food very good — Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmesan, pasta dishes with seafood. Can’t wait to come back!

Had a great meal at Lavo on our last day . Great service Lamb Chops superb 👌🏻 Mushroom side very tasty Young staff were all great and we will definitely return.

The place is a great place! Mood very pleasant, Service excellent and food very good, we ordered as an entrance the burrata that is accompanied with a little ratatouille and bread with tomato, I ordered as strong the pasta with pomodoro, baso and olive oil, although it was very simple is delicious; my husband ordered ravioli really exquisite, as dessert we ordered tiramisu, maritime with a white wine brand Venica. My only suggestion is that they offer bread or focaccia to accompany food. The place I recommend 100%

Great food great ambience great weather, great people don’t know what else to add to get up to 200 minimum characters but here you are.

Dined at Lavo to celebrate the birthday of a Italian connoisseur buddy. Food was great. I had penne seafood alfredo and friend had spaghetti and meatballs. Both were enjoyed. Waiter was Derrick who was in training and did a great job. He was attentive and polite. If you desire Italian, you won't be disappointed by dining here.

Nice restaurant. The food was really good and they give you good portions. We ended up waiting over a half hour from our reservation time but they gave us 1 free round of drinks for waiting so was fine. It’s a busy place and gets loud during dinner but we were fine with it. Highly recommend going here.

Went for the second time for the endless brunch. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing. We also got bottomless mimosas and they were flowing freely the entire time. I will come every single time I come to Vegas!

Excited to get two bar seats last week at Lavo before the U2 show. I was psyched for their Buono Notte cocktail, as it's rated one of the best espresso martinis in Vegas, but was disappointed to learn they had no espresso - the machine was broken. A top rated restaurant in one of the best hotels on the strip and they have no espresso? I get that it's a special machine with special parts, but there are definitely a few short term solutions that could have worked rather than not being able to make anything with espresso for days (bartender said it has been days that the machine was down and was a huge money loser). On to a glass of chianti.....wow.....out of that. Strike two. Wagyu meatball, caesar and garlic bread were all great. Bartenders seemed bothered. Would give it another shot next time we're in town.....I really want that martini. :-)

We were looking forward to dinner at Lavo. For the price we could have made a better choice. Service was good, but we were here for the food. I ordered Chicken Parm and it was served warm almost room temperature. The server offered it to be made again, always awkward when dining with guests. How does any restaurant serve food that should be hot at room temp? Would not recommend.

We dined at Lavo twice before and always had a wonderful experience. The restaurant has changed drastically since the last time we were there. It was so loud to the point we could hardly carry a conversation and the food was plain and not at all up to up to standard. Our server, however, was very friendly and offered to have the chef redo our dinners but by then we were fed up and just wanted to leave.

Very good pasta and other food to your taste. The service is above board and the setting is great ambiance.

Been here a few times during our Las Vegas trips. Since the group I normally go with is fine with any food is the only reason we go here, because for me as a vegetarian with a specific dietary requirement I can't have much apart from a pizza or/and maybe fries which is also average considering the price. Atmosphere is good. Service is okay. It is located within The Venetian. There is inside and outside sitting options. Outside sitting has a view of the strip.

Started with delicious appetizers. The beet salad with pistachios and goat cheese was the best! Order salmon for the entree and it was perfectly cooked. Very consistent restaurant!

We had a wonderful couples dinner at LAVO to celebrate a birthday, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. We actually overslept and were late for our reservation, but the staff was incredibly accommodating and held our table for us—something we really appreciated! Once seated, the service was attentive without being overbearing. Our water glasses were always full, and the table was cleared promptly between courses. Our server was knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations. The food was equally impressive. The penne a la vodka was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the chicken Parmesan was a hearty, satisfying classic. But the standout of the meal was the Caesar salad—absolutely out of this world!

Saturday brunch was delicious. We could not have expected more. The service and food were excellent. Nice and fun atmosphere. Great place to come with a group. So I many choices and so much food. You order from the menu at one flat price. We ordered the filet mignon for $10 more, and it was worth it. It is a buffet but you order off the menu; you can have as much as you want.

Dissatisfied to say the least! This used to be my favorite restaurant in Vegas. The service was terrible! Never received Items we asked for. The reasoning from the waitress is because they have to depend on people from the kitchen, so if they don’t bring it out, there is nothing they can do. There were plenty of employees working. They did not seem understaffed. Our deserts were also wrong and she did nothing to offer to fix it. The experience was not what I have been used too here. We always loved to eat here. The food quality is not as noticeable as it was prior. It seems the quality is different and the preparation was like going to any regular type restaurant. I was saddened to see this, as it was always a favorite of mine. Trying to get drinks was also a difficult task. She never came back to check on the table. When you did order a cocktail, it would take about 15 minutes to get one. The best part was the added garlic bread. It was delicious, with 3 sauces. Definitely need to find a new favorite restaurant in Vegas now.

We had an incredible brunch at LAVO, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to our server, Marina. She was truly one of the best servers we’ve ever had warm, attentive, and an absolute breath of sunshine. Marina made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of from the moment we sat down. Her positive energy and thoughtful service added so much to our morning. If you’re lucky enough to have Marina as your server, you’re in for a treat!

Had such a great meal , really recommend the seafood pasta and sea bass Our waitress Ashley was amazing and offered exceptional service

We had a fantastic time celebrating our anniversary, Lalo was super helpful and patient with us. We are beyond grateful for this once in a lifetime experience! Thank you for making it so special Lalo!

Lavo is a long standing favorite. They have always done an amazing job with their service, food and overall experience. Whether it's a small party of 4 or a group of 20, Lavo would be a top recommendaiton. Oysters were YUMMERS and the signature meatball is a MUST!

My husband and I had dinner at Lavo Restaurant after renewing our vows at The Venetian. It was an amazing dinner! The waitstaff knew we were celebrating (we were in full wedding clothes) and were so sweet in helping us celebrate. They brought over champagne for us to toast with to start our meal, which was very nice of them. We started our night with cocktails as well. I had a deliciously fruity malibu bay breeze and my husband had an old fashioned. We began our meal with a cheese and charcuterie platter and a truffle gnocchi dish. They were both excellent! For our entrees, I had the filet mignon and my husband had the rack of lamb. Both were prepared perfectly and delicious. The wait staff brought over a delicious mousse cake to end our meal. It was a great dinner and a perfect post-wedding celebration! The price was reasonable for fine dining. We ate on the terrace, which was a lovely, romantic place to have our dinner. We will definitely be returning on our next trip!

The food was delicious. The raviolis were the lightest I’ve ever had. The asparagus were done to perfection. The service was excellent. Will visit again.

We had a great meal, and the giant meatball was well worth it. The eggplant parm was one of the best I’ve tasted. I decided on something a little lighter and went with the Chilean sea bass, and it was excellent. The meatball recipe can be found online, so I’ll be making it at home!

Wonderful intimate Christmas dinner with our family. We decided to escape to Las Vegas for Christmas with our 3 kids but still wanted a cozy, Italian dinner. Lavo exceeded all expectations. The service was wonderful, food was outstanding. I highly recommend it!

Horrible horrible service just like all the reviews say. Our Waitress Jessika couldn't even get the tables right. Gave my bill to another table...of course both bills hit my account. No refills, spaghetti tasted like my 3rd grade cafeteria food. This place is just awful..$30 for parking for an event that was not even at this place.....a monkey could have ran this place better. STAY AWAY try Cappos. They treat you decent at least.

Not sure what's better here?? The staff, the food, the cocktails or the atmosphere. We visit Vegas a couple times a year and Lavo is a regular for us. Tonight was amazing as always. Thanks to Tim for taking great care of us. Lavo, we'll see you again soon.

Our experience was not desirable, and it was disappointing. The positives Drinks and food wonderful Waitress wonderful The negatives Table so tight, servers going by and hitting back of chair each time they walked by. Music so loud at a 645 reservation, dinner should not be a dance club. With a live dj? Really, this should be later into the evening. Unfortunately will not be going back.

They only serve what on the menu, no change and no diversion. Social distancing does not existing. No enforcement for masks for employees (of course neither for guests) Food is excellent. There are way better Italian restaurants for ambience and safety.

We expected a lot more from this restaurant given the reviews and the general food scene in Vegas. We were sorely disappointed - not only was the service slow, unattentive and disinterested, the food was equally disappointing. We ordered the giant meatball, which from the review, looked fantastic. When we cut into it, we discovered it was dry and cold inside i.e. it was reheated from frozen. Needless to say, we sent it back. We ordered the calamari intead - it was a huge serving (dare I say, American-sized), with a light batter, but unfortunately, far too salty to finish, to the point where I drank 4 glasses of water just to cut the salt. Although we had planned on ordering proper mains, just to make sure we didn't go hungry - we ordered a wood-oven pizza - this was the best part of the meal as the crust was nice and airy and toppings fresh. Overall, between the service and the food, I would not recommend this restaurant, and definitely will not return the next time I'm in Vegas.

We made a reservation at LAVO several weeks in advance. The restaurant was not very full. There were 6 of us all dressed very nicely, early 60's. They seated us in a booth adjacent to the bathroom and the entrance to the kitchen making it impossible to hear the conversation. We asked if it was possible to be moved away from the toilet and the kitchen and they answered with a very abrupt no. The meal didn't start out too well. Food was average maybe slightly above. The one-pound meatball and the garlic bread was great. Wished we had stopped there. Most of the Entrees were cold and tasteless. Service was marginal. I'd love to eat that meatball again but won't because of treatment we received. There is much better in Vegas.

We eat here every time we go to Vegas now. The food is exceptional. Every dish we have ever ordered has been fantastic. Best chicken marsala ever made. And the prices are very reasonable for Las Vegas. Service has always been friendly and professional. Sometimes they have a DJ playing music.

We had been here before and thought we would return. Our table was right at the bar and was like grand central station. We were crowded uncomfortable. We ordered appetizers including the meatball. All were amazing but cool. We told the waiter. When our main courses arrived the food was cold. We again told the waiter. To their credit they comped the main meals. But it was disappointing. The 3 stars were for the quality of food and service.

I was in Las Vegas for The Steve Irwin Gala. I went into LAVO for the brunch buffet & was pretty excited. The hostess greeted me & told me I could sit where I liked. I sat at a table and then noticed a Bachelorette Party by me, which was very loud, so I decided to relocate to another table. After I sat down at the other table, another girl whom I hadn't seen yet fixed her eyes on me & I immediately knew she was angry. She narrowed her eyes as she approached my table & asked in a stern tone if I had just walked in?! Then she asked if I had even even waited for the hostess?! I said No, I did not just walk in. The hostess said I could sit wherever I liked. She said No, you can't! You can sit anywhere at THE BAR!!! She motioned for me to get up & follow her to the bar. She made me feel awful. Her name was Sahrot (not sure if I spelled that correctly). I was dressed in shorts & a t-shirt with my hair in a ponytail. So I didn't look fancy. I'm sure if I looked like I did at the gala she would have treated me differently. The bartenders made me feel better, though. I told them what happened & they made sure I was taken care of. Their names were Willie & Zack. Zack especially kept filling up my mimosas & getting me what I needed. Drinks & food were good. But Sahrot is the only reason I gave 1 star.

We had the most wonderful service from Kayla (from Chicago) and Andre (actually from Las Vegas!) at our dinner. Food was great and they made the dinner with their professional service and knowledge. One item to note is there is zero dress code, we actually took what they said to be true, business casual. We were one of the few tables not in cargo shorts, flip flops and t-shirts. So wear whatever you want, it doesn't matter. Too bad, would have made the evening much more classy.....

LAVO at The Palazzo is the premier destination for delicious Italian fare, paired with hand-crafted cocktails set against an ambiance only the Las Vegas Strip can deliver. An expansive space that incorporates a lounge, dining room and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, LAVO offers experiential dining ranging from a romantic date night for two to a buzzing gathering of great friends or colleagues.
Enormous Rack Veal Parmigiana
This is tied for the best Veal Parmigiana I've experienced. If this is a primary reason for going Italian, please try it, you'll love it. Lavo tends to under-spice their food; so, be prepared to ask for salt, pepper & as we did red pepper. Once you season your dish to your liking, the food is wonderful! Menu prices are a bit on the high end, but still reasonable. Service is good, but not the friendliest.
