I must say this restaurant is now one of my faves!!! The steak here was prepared amazingly it was so juicy and flavorful!!! The waiter was very nice and efficient! The restaurant is pricy but it’s worth it for a special occasion definitely worth a try!!!

Well I had been watching the Wilshire Grand tower going up for nearly two years now so being a local downtown resident I was more than excited to explore the tallest building west of the Mississippi when I heard that La Boucherie had just opened. You know a place is new when you have to personally add it to Trip Advisor. As you can imagine being on the 71st floor of this brand new modern tower is breathtaking. There is actually an amazing outside deck bar on the 73rd floor and if you are going for dinner to the restaurant you'll probably see long lines winding around the lobby with people waiting for this rooftop bar ( will review that later) but to to worry. Just give you reservation name to one of the elevator attendants and they will call an elevator for the restaurant level (71) just for you. After arriving on the 71st floor you are in a open vaulted space with a mixture of city views and winding rope lights coming down from the open area that leads to the floors above and the hotel reception on the floor below. For being a :restaurant: level my first impression was that the lighting was too bright and was almost at what you would call "convention" level lighting which also makes for bright contrasting reflections on the windows drowning out the spectacular views behind the reflections. To the left is a small pathway and a podium that is La Boucherie. You are greeted there and escorted inside which is just on the other side of the wall / bar that separates the restaurant from the open area off the elevator. Ambiance and service The restaurant is thankfully dimly lit and actually rather small but with it circled by vaulted walls of glass revealing stunning jetliner views you don't feel it small at all. We were seated by the window, which I highly recommend requesting, at a small table close to the bar which ended up being a delightful advantage since the lead bartender was also our server. This wouldn't at first seem like an advantage but Joseph was fantastic. he and the staff were meticulously attentive and from time to time Joseph would bring samples of his on the fly mixology experiments as well as rare whiskies which he picked up I liked form my drink selections. So from start to finish, phenomenal service. Food We ended up ordering the steak tartar and frog legs for appetizers and both were amazing. In all my dining all over the world I had never had frog legs so I figured why not now. The overused analogy actually applies here because they really do taste like chicken but the seasoning and tangy sauce did make it a special dish. The tartar was fantastic and was so tender it actually reminded me of eating a quality tuna tartar. For mains we had the venison and the Australian Kobe cut. Both were cooked to perfections and the meat quality was truly top notch. After our meal I asked about the rooftop bar and Joseph actually escorted us up the elevator and into the rooftop bar which was a bonus to the already perfect evening. All and all La Boucherie was a perfect experience. Great service, fantastic food and one stellar view. If you are local or visiting I would highly recommend it. being that it just opened reservations are tough to get so definitely plan ahead and you'll find it easier to book on opentable than calling direct. Enjoy!

A lovely restaurant with the most amazing view. Pros: service is amazing, people constantly tend to all your needs. Cocktails very nice. Cons: food could stand to be better at these prices. All in all, we enjoyed our evening but were not particularly satisfied with the food.

Celebrated Easter weekend at LaBoucherie- was excellent. I had the beet salad and salmon. My adult son had steak and Brussel sprouts. The food was outstanding and the service amazing. The flaming chocolate dessert was so cool to watch and to eat! It was expensive, but ohhhh sooo good.

Wow, what a total bummer when the steaks were so bland and dry (and one of our orders was cooked to the wrong temperature). But nobody came by to check on us for 15 minutes after entrees were served. At that point it was late, we were tired after a long day of delayed flights/travel, and just wanted to leave and go to our hotel room. We debated trying to flag down a waiter to talk about it, but decided we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for them to prepare new steaks for us. No waitstaff asked after the fact that we all left at least half of our steaks uneaten. (But maybe that's a los angeles thing? Do people do lots of performative eating where they don't clean their plates? For $85 prime filet, I'd hope you'd want to eat all of it). Honestly, the medium rare steaks were dry, too (not just the medium well). And so flavorless, which was the real crime. Dry and dull for a fancy steakhouse is unforgivable. It's like the kitchen forgot to season them at all, or to baste them with butter during the cooking. Maybe the head chef goes home before 9pm, so anything you order after that is a bust? I saw several underwhelmed reviews online before we went, but we hoped those were "outliers." The views are amazing, and the service started off wonderful. It was just weird that everyone disappeared after our entrees were served. We would have mentioned it if someone came by within 15 minutes of dropping off the plates. The cocktails were good. Our starters were decent (not amazing, but perfectly adequate). The homemade turmeric raisin bread and min baguettes were lovely. Then they brought out a selection of steak knives/styles from around the world, which got us even more excited for the steaks. So it was extra disappointing when the beef was so poorly cooked. Darn. The mac and cheese side was very tasty, at least. Going to a "fancy steakhouse" is my family's thing. We do a few times a year. All over the country. and La Boucherie was a huge fail on the steaks.

This place is new still new so the interior design is fresh, clean and smells nice. Along with the new interior they still seem to be getting their feet wet with service and food. The potential is higher since their start is good. Ingredients used are high level and the wine list is very extensive. Was very surprised that they do not have a in house sommelier! All the steaks are very good and tender. Cooked just right. Loved the option to choose your steak knife. Nice touch! View is very nice. You are getting a helicopter view of Los Angeles. Overall experience was good, I hope that they just improve in time and don't get stagnant.

We ate here on our only night in town and we did not regret it. Magic views, fantastic service and an amazing selection of flavored and wines. You get to choose you knife from a selection of steak knives and you get to select your mustard. The deserts are just decadent.

When a LAPD helicopter flies by your table, at eye-level, you know just how high your dining experience is! The bar/lounge on the 73rd floor may be getting all the press, but La Boucherie on 71 at The Wilshire Grand Center should be the one on your "must visit" list. With flattering lighting, eclectic and elegant design, spectacular views of a glowing and glittering Los Angeles, and attentive service, any visit becomes a special event. If the room seems modest, relative to the size of the building, be assured that behind a hidden door lies several private dining rooms, each more impressive than the next, and clearly targeted to a demanding clientele that won't settle for ordinary.

Wow. My husband and I landed into LA and we stayed at the new downtown InterContinental Hotel. We had the most amazing 3 course dinner at La Boucherie Restaurant on the 71st floor. Having travelled the world and dined at some of the best restaurants I can honestly say this restaurant is in our Top 3. Amazing views and the service we received from Michael and Patrick and their team was first class. All of their advice on the menu selection last was second to none and each course was perfection. Even the bread at the start was incredible with ingredient combinations that I would never personally think to put together. We had to go back for seconds it was so good. I would highly recommend this restaurant!! 5 stars... 🤩

12 of us from throughout Los Angeles and Orange County were able to have a great private meeting conversation and dining experience at La Boucherie, the steakhouse, primarily red meat menu restaurant at the new 73 story Intercontinental Hotel in downtown LA. Highly recommend that if you are downtown or entertaining visitors, have them enjoy daytime views to the Pacific Ocean, perhaps sunset time of day, a cocktail in the lounge and stretch the experience to enjoy a meal on floor 72 and an after dinner refreshment on the well designed, enjoyable 73rd floor open air bar and lounge.

The elevator system at Intercontinental LA is quite scary for me. You enter the floor you want to go before you enter the elevator (it also work as the call button). Inside the elevator, there's no control panel, no open/close buttons, or emergency button. In case of emergency, you can't call for help and you are stuck inside. In addition, the elevator stops at random level (and the door is closed). One hotel employee told me that 2 elevators work together to conserve power, meaning - if elevator 1 is stopping on 32/F, elevator 2 also stops on 32/F and the door remains closed. The steak is overpriced compared to other steakhouse like Morton's, Ruth's Chris. I guess you're paying for the view. They also offer a lot of condiments, such as mustard from different countries and different flavored salt. They also put sauces on top of your steak. You can't really taste the flavor of the steak. Or they try to mask the flavor of a bad steak.

We ate here twice as we were staying at the hotel. The first night was a walk in but we were still treated like valued guest. We have some food allergies and they were accommodated very well. Our second night we had a reservation and it was equally excellent, with a better table. all staff are in sync and professional. The food is superb. My only niggle is that the tables are a bit close if other guests are overly talkative.

Booked dinner to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were given a window table with amazing views. Drinks were good to begin with. The dishes we ordered were just ok. A little disappointing as we were expecting more after hearing from staff how good the restaurant was. Service was also good initially but it seems they were short staffed and our waiter ended up working behind the bar instead. Understandable during these times as all businesses are short staffed but it meant no one really looked after us from when our mains arrived to when we left. Nevertheless, we had an ok night and grateful to have been able to celebrate our anniversary.

I travel all over the world and I was very scared of this restaurant bill. Food nothing special and the price is for 1 star Michelin restaurant. Only the view +++ and Service is perfect! ***My advice, just go for a drink (good view). And dine at another restaurant. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Dined at La Boucherie last month. Located on the 71st. Floor of Grand Wilshire which is the tallest building west of Mississippi. Great view and nice décor. We ordered the Delmonico Filet and Dry Aged Rib Eye. It was not the best steak but comparable to other steakhouse in town, considering the price. We had frog legs for appetizer and duck fat fries and grilled asparagus for our sides. We would recommend. Being new and part of The InterContinental Hotel, the interior designer did a great job creating a romantic ambience. Service was above and beyond our expectation. Joaquin who waited on us at 71 Above Restaurant was there to make sure we had a good time. Our waiters Henry and Justin was very attentive and accommodating to our request. They recommended GL Le Macchiole Ross to complement our steak. I would highly recommend for those who are looking for a romantic dinner to consider this restaurant if you are in Los Angeles. 4.5 out of 5 Stars for sure.

This place opened not too long ago. The intercontinental hotel really got it right here. The food has a French twist on classics. The mustard and salt options are interesting. The salt options are good for customize it diners. I prefer the chef deciding what salt flavor I enjoy. Still wouldn't stop me from going back. The views are fantastic and would definitely recommend. The food is also very good.

Mixed feelings about this one. On the positive side you have the fantastic view, great service and tasty food. In the other hand it is excessive sizes of the steaks etc. You would think that a place like this would adapt to the debate today. No real good options of finding a small steak unless you took the per ounce priced steak (priced ridicously). So this and the excessive prices pulls down the rating.

Have been here a few times over the years, and the service is always good. The wine list is excellent, and the food is solid—well-prepared and enjoyable. The biggest consideration here is the price. It’s on the higher end, and while the service and food are good, I’m not sure they fully match the cost. That said, if you get a table by the window, the views are absolutely incredible, which adds to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a special night out and don’t mind the higher price point, it’s a great place to enjoy a nice meal with a beautiful setting. Definitely a solid choice, depending on what you’re looking for!

Party of four, and we had a variety of appetizers and entrees. Some were good and some were average. Start with octopus and it was excellent. Then on to soup and we had french onion and sweet corn soup with lobster. Neither soup hit it out of the park. French onion had very little broth in it and the sweet corn soup was very sweet. Had Tomahawk steak, sea bass and a rib eye. Everyone agreed that the steak at Redbird had more flavor and was tastier. They had a presentation of choice of steak knives, choice of salts and a choice of mustards to accompany your entrees which was all very nice. Our bill for party of 4 was $1000. For that price point we would have expected amazing food, not just its ok. Service was very good.

We decided to have this for a nice romantic dinner for her birthday. The view was amazing and was the perfect setting. The food was good and I think the added cost is for the ambiance. The staff was amazing and answered all the questions we had for them. I would recommend trying this place if you want a good meal with a spectacular view.

I'm a seasoned Food reviewer based in London and i'm normally very critical of a lot of things, La Boucherie demolishes every criteria by a large margin and has by far served the best experience and best steak i've ever had. Let's get right into it. Booking - I actually contacted 71 Above first, though changed my mind since 71 Above doesnt accomodate dinner for lone guests - What's up with that? Very poor. Booking for La Boucherie was dead easy, you can do it via Tripadvisor, their website, Opentable. Pick one, they're all seamless. Reception - Very chilled, there is the Hotel bar upstairs which has a nice view of DTLA, and you can wait there if you're a bit early for your booking like i am. Seating - They actually didnt have any windowside tables available, but mentioned i can wait for one to be available in 10-15 minutes. very accomodating and understanding staff. Food - I went for the 42 aged dry steak and it did NOT dissapoint. It's the cheapest cut on the menu which wasn't obvious from the steak quality, Smooth, buttery delicious steak goodness, alongside a stellar windowside view of Downtown LA - absolutely fantastic. The other thing to consider here is that their attention to detail is a bit overkill, before the steak serving a server with a plate of knives will ask you which your preference is, and thereafter a server will ask you which mustard you'd like to pair your steak with. Seriously, there's a mustard guy and a steak guy. Service/ambience - Typical French/Modern cuisine, marble countertops, high window ceilings, fantastic view and the servers seem to love their job. Lastly, the price. It's pricey, but i've been to more expensive places in London and service/food comes nowhere near close to La Boucherie. I'd say it's really worth it for the price. 5/5 would recommend.

If you enjoy Kobe, or Australian steaks, then eat here, The service you receive here will last a life time. After you eat here, other 5-star establishments will be judged by this. Beware that this is a high end restaurant, expect to pay for what you are getting. I recommend Australian steak, with a glass of wine, loved it. .

Fabulous experience, food and value were exceptional. While the view is singularly worth dining here for, I would enthusiastically recommend La Boucherie regardless of that collateral benefit. I dined with my three children and they were treated as kindly and respectfully by the wonderful staff as anyone else in the room. They were treated to amazing appetizers (the chef even prepared delicious French Fries - to order - for my less adventurous son) and their main courses were generous 8-ounce tenderloins. I had equally amazing oysters, soup, and salad before my main course - cordon bleu chicken - a very tasty choice even in a restaurant known for its steaks. The wine list was the kind not to be outdone anywhere in DTLA, and the prices overall for the dining, drinking and dessert experience were truly excellent. We cannot wait to go back! A few other unique surprises await you, and I offer my highest endorsement for La Boucherie! Our main server - Daniel - was a true professional, exceptional in his presentation and representation of La Boucherie. He was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and so very enthusiastic! His assistant - Phillip - was also a gem and I would praise him to same degree as Daniel. They were a fantastic pair, worked together seemlessly, and even when one of my children asked one of them for something, it was very evident Daniel and Phillip communicated in a fashion so effective that it seemed like they were able to read each other’s minds! I would respectfully ask that they each be recognized for making our Christmas Eve dinner one the most memorable ever - one we won’t forget. We look forward to returning again! Thank you!

Located on the 72nd floor of the Intercontinental Hoel, La Boucherie offers a great dinning experience with a staff of truly professional waiters/waitresses who fulfill any reasonable need you may have! If possible reserve a window seat which enhances your entire experience. These seats provide simply spectacular views of the greater Los Angeles area from an unparalleled viewpoint. We ordered the Tomahawk Steak for 2 which was cooked to perfection! Another nice touch was being presented with cutlery to select from countries around the world! The prices are not cheap but when combined with the atmosphere, cuisine, and great service, it was well worth it!

I visited within a few weeks after it opened. It's on the 71st floor, as is 71Above in the USBank tower, so I will use that as my point of reference. The good: service was amazing, the quality of the food was amazing, loved the selection of the steak knives (I went with the Welsh knife with the mother of pearl handle), the selection of different salts was also cool. The mediocre: the place does not take full advantage of its location. 71Above did a much better job exploiting the views (plus its sits on Bunker Hill above the Intercontinental, so it has a higher vantage point). The absurd: prices. I drop money like it is going out of style, yet I was still shocked at what was being charged. $95 for a middle of the road steak (top choice was $240) - without any sides (that would be another $15 for some sliced potatoes or some carrots). This felt like a page taken straight from the Vegas playbook where things are so surreal that you can get away with these prices. Anyway, had a lovely experience, as did my guest, but not sure that I will be rushing back here, especially when having the 71Above option.

La Boucherie is a "French" steak house, but really it is just a great steak house. The steaks are of the highest quality, and perfectly prepared. They offer a variety of sauces, but the steaks are so good you really don't need sauce. Restaurant is on the 71st floor of the Intercontinental, with amazing views. It is nicely decorated and comfortable. Service is professional, if not especially quick. Be prepared to spend ALOT of money.

While staying at InterContinental LA Downtown, I decided to go for a beautiful steak. Views from the restaurant are absolutely great, I ordered a NY strip which came beautifully cooked. The duck fat fries were ok however nothing special. I'd like to mention the service which was impeccable.

Outstanding; is one word that can be used to simply describe La Boucherie. From the moment we got there we were treated very well. Alondra, the hostess, greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. The ambiance is beautiful and comfortable, the view is gorgeous. Excellent wine selection and a very knowledgeable sommelier who takes the time to answer your questions and recommend a wine based on your taste and preference. Both the service and food were flawless. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting the restaurant’s director who gave us a tour of the restaurant and we both fell in love with what he described to be a chef’s table. All menu items are very tasty and delicious, for dessert I highly recommend the Mousse au Chocolate whether you like chocolate or not. I have already made reservation for our Christmas dinner and we are looking forward to it.

Not only is the setting spectacular, but one of the best dinners we have had in Los Angeles! The steaks were impeccable, crab cakes the most delicious and aesthetically pleasing I have seen, and just everything was amazing. Someone in my party ordered the chicken and it was perfectly cooked and moist, often not the case with chicken breast. The dry aged rib chop was one of the best we have ever had ! Of course the view is spectacular but it is really wonderful to also have an amazing meal to complement a perfect evening I highly recommend it.

Ended with us getting stuck in the elevator at that intercontinental. Neither the hotel nor the restaurant seemed to care. We were laughed at. Definitely will not be back.

What a great experience to celebrate a special occasion. The entire team here really made us feel like VIPs (even though i'm sure we don't even compare to some of the VIPs that have and will visit this location). Our server, Justin, was extremely friendly and even more knowledgeable. He was very passionate about the restaurant and even gave us a tour of the whole place. I expected a little more out of the food given the ambiance, location, and price... but it was still very good. Still new at the time we went so i'm sure that will only improve. Thank you Justin and everyone for a great evening! TIP: If you want to visit the rooftop bar, have dinner here first... they escorted us up a private elevator without having to wait in the lines downstairs.

La Boucherie is a high end restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. It is on a 71st floor as part of InterContinental Hotel. The dining room setting is elegant and the city night view is beautiful. I had dinner there on a Sunday night. Sitting next to the window, the evening was wonderful. The service was acceptable although I had to ask a busboy to find my servers for 10+ minutes. The Charred Spanish Octopus was tender and very well done. Well, the Crisp Brussels Sprout Petals was oily and unimpressive. The Baked Oysters aka La Boucherie was under baked and lacked the expected blue cheese favor. The A5 Wagyu Striplion was most disappointed; the presentation was plain and is my worst A5 Wagyu experience. The Chocolate Soufflé was nicely done. I would come back even just for the Charred Octopus and the views.

beautiful atmosphere and most of the food was good but my sons steak was over cooked. We told them they promised to do something to make up for it and then failed to do so. The steaks are expensive and I would expect more from a restaurant of this caliber

After a late check-in, after an afternoon of travel, we took the easy option and grabbed a late booking at La Boucherie...somewhat nervously based on a quick review of recent Trip Advisor ratings. And boy I'm delighted we did! The starters were sensational (especially the Diver Scallops) and my dry aged rib eye was huge & absolutely outstanding (flavour and cooking). My wife opted for Halibut and was equally impressed. Add some brilliant sides, sensational service from Henry, a great wine list, and an unbeatable 71st floor view, and you have a truly superlative dining experience.

Very good steakhouse with excellent services and wide selection of beef and other choices. It’s at the upper end of pricing range for such establishments and would have received 5 stares if prices were on par with like quality restaurants, in my opinion the extra prices are not justified as one can Easley find like establishments within reasonable distance which may even have better ambiance.

My family and I celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday at Le Boucherie! This was our first time and here and will not be our last. The views are fantastic but the service and attention to detail made this an overall tremendous evening! We had the cheese and charcuterie; the soups; the tar tar to the escargot; and finishing with steaks and lobster with wine from the Rhone valley of France and desert wine from Bordeaux; our palates were dancing and singing. The director Aloys, and our server Carlos made sure we had the best attention and an enjoyable experience. This restaurant is perfect for an intimate setting or a great place to go for upscale beverages and quality conversation. A new gem of mine that I can’t wait to visit again

This is actually 3.5 stars if that was available, between average and very good. But there is nothing “average” about this place unless you dine at high end “Surf & Turf” restaurants on a regular basis. We did not have any beef so this is from the “Surf” perspective. Lobster was outstanding (and it damn well should be at $90), caesar salad was average. Flat grilled prawns very good, mushroom medley side was delicious. Thumbelina carrots were decidedly undercooked. Service is over the top (all servers dressed in old school uniforms with a manager wearing a suit); however, our server appeared to struggle with the idea of a couple splitting all the dishes and he brought out tiny side plates. There was another server that perceived the situation and brought us bigger plates. Overall, communication was a small challenge with our server, safe to say English was not his native tongue. But he was very nice and came by our table often. The wine list was a museum exhibit, something left over from the ‘90’s. The format is on one of the old iPad wine lists that most wine buyers have moved on from. The Chablis was ideal for the lobster so I just stuck with it, but most of the selections were antiquated, especially the 2015 Willamette Valley Pinot Gris (really? It’s 2022. Odds are that vintage was not updated on the iPad). But most Surf & Turf spots have stale wine lists since most of their customers just drink Cali Cab every time they dine (yawn). This is clearly a special occasion spot at these prices and the view after dark is definitely part of the price (71st floor of the Interconential Hotel). But at these prices you can go to more creative spots like Otium at half the price (if you’re sticking to DTLA).

Fantastic place for fine dining in LA. The staff is great...highly efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. The food is of a very high quality and I loved the butter they imported from France! The portions are also rather generous and tasty. The menu lights up so no worries about seeing it in the dim light. Also loved the variety of salts that accompany your main dish ( you can choose from a variety of salts from around the world). You also have a choice of knives for your meat entré. Just those tiny details make the dining experience exceptional and fun and well worth a visit.

This restaurant is a great place for a formal dinner or a special occasion. Our family of four dined here on a Friday night to celebrate our daughters graduation. We had 7pm reservations and got there early to get a window seat but most tables next to the windows are for 2 people so we were seated close to the window which was fine since they have floor to ceiling windows and we were still able to enjoy the fabulous view. The ambiance in the restaurant was modern, formal and subdued but livened up a bit as the night progressed. We were dressed in jackets/dresses but there were others less formal/casual and they did seem a bit out of place -- I'm glad we dressed for the occasion. Service was just superb. Our waiter was friendly and informative and made good recommendations. There always seemed to be someone at the ready to refill your water, fold your napkin, or present you with a mustard, knife, or even a salt selection. The courses were served at a slow leisurely pace. We weren't rushed nor did we ever feel neglected or left waiting for our food. And as for the food -- all the food was very good/great, tasty, delicious and well prepared/presented. It was not the absolute best I've ever had, especially at those prices, but it definitely did not disappoint us. I did rather enjoy the charcuterie board -- mixing and matching the various meats with their impressive selection of mustard was literally the culinary equivalent of playing with your food. For the main course I was able to try the 60 day aged ribeye and the tomahawk cut ribeye. Both cuts of meat were prepared perfectly but I did prefer the tomahawk over the aged - it just seemed more juicy and flavorful. For desert we just had to order the flaming chocolate mousse. It was an enjoyable show and an even more enjoyable treat. However, we also ordered the chocolate souffle which in my opinion may have actually edged out the flashy mousse by its subtle, more refined taste and texture -- it's a tough call. Overall it may have been a pricey meal, but La Boucherie made it a very memorable evening out with the family - which of course - is priceless.

This is a wonderful restaurant. If you are a couple, then my tip is to book a window seat. If you are more than a couple, it is worth upgrading to a private table and then you will have the gorgeous view of LA to yourselves. Go for the steaks. The Wagyu beef melts like butter and tastes like heaven. The service from Fernando and his colleagues, is exceptional, under the guidance of Mr Behdad Ghofrani, who made us feel so very welcome and appreciated. This is a must for anyone who appreciates great cuisine in LA. We’ll be back!

As with the hotel, the star of this place are the incredible views. That said, running a close second is the service and attention to detail. This is a beautiful, smart, casual, high end restaurant located on the 71st floor of the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. I’ve never been presented with the option to select my steak cutlery but that’s exactly what happened. The server showed up and presented me with no fewer than 10 steak knives. It was a trip and a cool bit of showmanship. Nor have I had the opportunity to select from 12 varieties of mustards. The food was very good but what I ordered was not EXCELLENT. My bone in New York was not seasoned at all and a bit tough although I ordered it medium. The French Onion Soup, that they said took 3 days to make, was terrible. Hint to the Chef. Don’t overthink the French Onion Soup and just make it in one day. More broth please! The crab salad was excellent as well as the salmon appetizer. This place is still very new so I’m sure they are working things out, and overall I recommend it.

This weekend, I took my immediate family (Adult Children) to dinner at La Boucherie to celebrate my wife's birthday. The restaurant was elegant and refined with a great view. The drinks and the service were excellent (Thank you, Ryan). The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the Prime Seafood Tower, as an appetizer, for the table. To be clear, the restaurant was quite expensive, but I knew that going into it, and it was worth every penny. The only downside is that the restaurant is clearly for adults. As a result, there weren't many food options for my 5 year old granddaughter. My family had a wonderful time and it was a dinner to remember. We will definitely return to La Boucherie.

We had dinner here a few times with our stay at the hotel. It was nice to dress up and enjoy a wonderful steak and a few unbelievable appetizers. The service was first class! Their wine list was very impressive. We had no room for dessert!

We celebrated a birthday at this wonderful restaurant recently. There were six of us in our party and everyone loved the experience. The food was excellent, service outstanding and the atmosphere exceptional. We closed the night on the rooftop bar. This is a special place and I highly recommend for a great evening in Los Angeles.

Excellent steak Excellent oysters and appetizers Great views Excellent Wine Menu Crazy surprises Amazing service One of the best restaurants in the world Highly recommend it. All the steaks are amazing. Just no need for sauces, they are amazing on their own with no sauce.

Visted as a group of friends, reservations are essistential as such a popular place. The view from three sides on the 72nd floor are amazing. The restaurant is low lit and not surprisingly is a great place for a romantic meal. Food is mainly steak which is both well presented and enormous. Be prepared though to get a bank loan for both the meal and wine, but overall loved it!

If you are looking for somewhere to go for a special occasion in LA you won't go wrong with choosing this hotel. First off the view is superb...make sure to book well in advance so that you guarantee a window seat and go at a time when you can see the city turn from day to night. The tables are far enough away from each other so that you get enough privacy and feel at times like you're dining alone. The food for us was amazing, we went straight into the mains, having the fillet mignon, cooked to perfection with a good choice of tasty sides. The desserts were also great and highly advise saving room for one. The wine list was also great, a huge selection and help if needed. This restaurant is not cheap, but in my opinion well worth it. The service was fantastic from start to finish.

Great staff, friendly and informative. However, their food was horrible and not worth the hefty price for a horrible steak. Soups were extremely salty and the $95 ribeye steak was not medium rare as I ordered it but rather over cooked. It also looked and tasted like something I could’ve gotten at a local diner. The view of the city from up there was the best part of it.

Beautiful setting overlooking Los Angeles, this restaurant is located inside the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown LA. The menu was somewhat limited as I don't eat steak or Salmon. I opted for the charcuterie plate. The cheeses were excellent with bread and honey but the meats were only okay. Really nice wine list with prices that are on the high side but probably in line with most nicer restaurants in LA. Dinner for two with one glass of wine each was a little over $200. Would be a nice spot for a romantic dinner. Our server was excellent!

The sexy ambiance, the sparkling views, the exquisite food, on point service, and team hospitality are A+ here! My friends and I had a fantastic five-course dinner with delicious wines. Aside from the above mentioned highlights, the details within our dinning experience were so unique and fun (choose your finishing salt, choose your steak knife from an array of hand crafted knives, and all the exotic accompanying sauces). The director, Aloys, and the captain, Joaquin, enhanced our experience with their genuine hospitality. It was a truly memorable and delightful dinner. We will be back! And, may I recommend the 42 Dry Aged Ribeye. Best ribeye I’ve ever had!

La Boucherie offers fantastic views and an and libations. Every bite was perfection, from the grilled octopus to the perfectly prepared medium rare ribeye. The attention to detail and impeccable service added to the experience. Henry was attentive and mindful, never interrupting our conversation and never made us feel rushed. Ehsan checked in on us and truly made us feel welcome. The whole experience made date night feel like a special occasion. We will absolutely be going back.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I would leave zero stars if I could. I went there for my 20th wedding anniversary. I told them of the occasion when I made my reservation and requested a window table. I was told they would do their very best to accommodate. However, they did not and the only table for 4 by a window that was left was given to a couple with a baby who didn't even order dinner. After them it was given to another couple who also did not order dinner but instead had beers. If you want to check the place out, don't waste your money on dinner. It seems you can have the best table for a couple of beers. The food was mediocre for the price, especially considering the chef has a Michelin Star. We ordered espresso after dinner which did not resemble coffee at all. More like dirty laundry water. The waiter prided himself saying they were great before closing during COVID and now even better. I strongly disagree. I asked to speak to the chef who told me to speak to the manager. It was clear that the manager had been drinking while working and approached our table with a bossy diminor. When I told him how I felt about my dining experience, he said he was sorry to hear that and hoped that I would come back. I will definitely not go back. This was an awful experience and the place looked run down, the service was average and we left feeling extremely disappointed. This place is not worth the money or the time. There are many wonderful places with great service in Los Angeles. This place is not one of them.

Restaurant, very beautiful, beautiful view and great food and service! We ordered meat, a prawn starter and a crab starter. A good wine list. we all liked it a lot. The price is high like everything in Los Angeles.

Everything about La Boucherie is awe-inducing. Its setting on the 71st floor of the Intercontinental DTLA offers breathtaking views along with bold architectural features (and the bathrooms are down right dreamy). Service is attentive without being overwhelming, but it is the food that steals the show. The steaks (including bison filet, simply the best I have ever tasted) melt in the mouth, and the duck fat fries are rich and flavorful. The eight salts, 15 types of mustard, and ten steak knives to choose from are a few of the details that make this place so memorable.

If I can give ZERO stars, I would give it. This place is 100% a tourist trap and do not care about their customers. DO NOT BOTHER. Go to OUTBACK. We started our meal with a drink and it literally took them 45 minutes to get it out. We ordered the Ora Salmon Sashimi and for $38, it was not worth it. My husband SPAT it out. It was covered in too much sauce and the fish tasted like it was frozen. If it was $15 we probably won’t care but for the money they are charging its unacceptable. Then we had the french onion soup which was ok but nothing special, if you go to an Outback Steakhouse you won’t probably taste the difference. We spoke with Loris and gave her the feedback and all she said was “okay no worries”. She did not even ask us if we wanted anything else and that she would deliver our feedback to the chef or try to make things right. Then the finale, we ordered the Ribeye - Medium Rare $85 but then it was OVERCOOKED and the waiter argued that it lost its color because it was DRY AGED. We’ve been in tons of steakhouses and we’ve never seen a RIBEYE burnt like that before. He just said I’ll get you guys the check. Then when we received our check, the manager (ALVIN) spoke with us and he was very condescending and kept on smirking. You can tell that he is doesn’t care about the restaurant’s customers. No apology whatsoever and he kept arguing. He is saying that we ate our food (even though we sent it back) so we should pay for it. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR RESTAURANT, I WOULD NOT HIRE THIS GUY. He has ZERO interpersonal skills and cannot address customer relations which is obviously what he’s hired for.

We went for a special occasion dinner and everything was stunning, from service to food. View is also unbeatable. Truly deserves its Michelin rating. Our waiter, Jackson, and sommelier Edward, were very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations and service. Thank you!

We didn’t expect to have to get my own water because service was so poor. I did read reviews that the service wasn’t the best but we didn’t expect what we got on my wife’s birthday. After staying in Theoule for six weeks, I certainly could not have picked a worst place for dinner. Avoid if you can if not pizza is always a better option

I had had brunch at the hotel and wanted to try out their high-end restaurant - Le Boucherie. The decor - like the rest of the hotel - is disappointing to say the least. For a 5 star hotel it misses the mark. There is no warmth or intimacy or any sense of luxury. For a high end restaurant we were at a tiny formica-topped table with no table cloth. The service was exceptional and the views were expectedly great but apart from the view there is no reason to go back. At $150 a person for dinner it was just ok - certainly not memorable - you can do so much better other places.

Great french styled restaurant, but doesn't open up until after 4pm. The styling of this place is very cozy and romantic. Light pastel colours and black stainless steel silverware. All restaurants here have their silverware themed. Dine and look out over the city at sunset, this would be the best time. Restaurant faces the south and east sides but you may still get a glimpse of sunset at the south west side.

The food was good service very rushed main course is already on the table 5 seconds after your starter. When the waiter asked during our beer if we wanted another one we did not say yet and the bill was already charged and this for a reasonably expensive restaurant.

The food was good. But, it should be if you are paying $80 for steak. The service was adequate, nothing special. The problem was the table. Often, restaurants try to maximize occupancy by putting tables where tables just should NOT be, the "lousy table." That is what we got. (I should say, when I booked, there was no option for table selection). Once you're stuck with the lousy table, the rest of the dining experience is shot, specially when you are paying $600+ for 2 people. Hope you have better luck.

This place is quite elegant. Dress accordingly. It oozes class. We were staying at the hotel and didn't make any special plans so we decided to eat here. Excellent decision. We ate at the bar since we weren't dressed to the max like some others. Plus we weren't dressed EAL hungry either. We shared a charcuterie, beet salad, and onion soup along with having cocktails. All of it was delightful and so was the bartender. Extraordinary views. Can't wait to return for a steak when we're craving one and hungry.

Ate there with a group of seven others for dinner while in town for a conference. The place is very cool - high atop a new high rise, with killer views in all directions. They have cool kindle-style menus and other over the top elements such as various sauces, mustards and salts for your steak. You even get to choose your own type of steak knife from around the world. The food was outstanding and the service was professional. I would definitely eat there again (just bring a full wallet).

Had a 9p reservation, and to be honest was just expecting a great view nothing much more. I was wrong. Even with the fog the view was awesome. Not many places I have dined where helicopters pass BELOW. But the food is another thing. Its fabulous, at all price points. I had the A5 Wagu (it was sooo good I cant even eat any cow right now or else it will ruin my memory of that great filet). All the sides were amazing (asparagus, Carrot vichy, and poem anne), Highly recommend the Hawaiian salt, Though the steak needed nothing else. The soufflé was great , but next time I will tackle the creme brûlée... Will I go back yes.....sooner than later!

My wife and I dined at La Boucherie for dinner for the first time last week. The restaurant is perched on the 70th floor of the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. We were seated at a half table, half booth immediately next to the window, which made for some incredible views on a beautiful, clear night in L.A. The ambiance of the restaurant is just wonderful; very modern, fresh, and chic. Our waiter was friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and professional. As to the food, in my opinion, the menu looks better than the food actually is, in particular for the very premium prices. I started with the $75 (yes, $75!) Maine lobster salad topped with Ossetra caviar served in a “tarragon consommé”. I found the flavors to be somewhat pedestrian, and the “tarragon consommé” - which turned the dish into a bit of a watery soup - did not make for the best combination in my opinion. I had the filet mignon (although the menu doesn’t specify, I would guess 8 ounces for a whopping $85) which was served a la carte. Although not bad, the steak was a bit over the medium rare temperature that I ordered, and was somewhat lacking in the flavor department (I did order all three sauces – truffle béarnaise, chimichurri, and house steak sauce, with the latter surprisingly being the best, but all were good). We had the purple duck fat fries on the side (good but not great) and chocolate mousse for dessert (very good and a unique presentation rum flamed at the table). The wine list was comprehensive and fairly well priced. In sum, the ambiance is incredible, the service is excellent, but the food (in particular at the price point – I suspect there’s a healthy build-in on the price for the views) failed to overly impress us. Glad we tried it for the experience, but will likely not rush back.

The view and the interior is absolutely amazing. We had no reservation so waited for about an hour in the bar. The bartender was very attentive and made great drinks. We had a charcuterie plate that was great for the wait. When seated the waiter recommended the 12 weeks aged ribeye. I asked if, when it was 12 weeks, could be a bit dry, and the waiter assured us that is wouldn't be at all. All 4 of us decided to go for that. The steaks comes with nothing so sides must be ordered - they had three types of veggies (Carrots, Mushrooms & asparagus) which I thought was thin, the rest of the sides are potatoes of different kinds and Mac's. The steaks all had a bit too much versus what we ordered and they were all dry. Aged 12 weeks I would have expected a more intense taste - that wasn't the case. When steaks are served, the waiter will come with a selection of knives, its kinda fun, but it doesn't make a dry 85 dollar steak good. I ordered a bottle of wine that i like and when i ordered a second bottle and had to ask 3 (three) times before it came. I don't mind paying for quality, but this wasn't worth it...

Recently dined there with a small group of friends. Food was outstanding - steak, dick confit, foie gras terrine, John Dory, asparagus, crispy kalettes, and mushrooms. The kitchen was having a bad night. We waited almost 35 minutes for our food, and some plates arrived after we were finished with our meals. The staff were super nice and apologetic but I expected more from the kitchen.
A wonderful night with dear friends!
We had a great dinner here - the food was wonderful, the service was excellent, we had a private room - they have several booths or areas for special celebrations here, and the views were unparalleled for Los Angeles!
