Deep fried fish was tastey. The place was so tidy and clean. Staff was very helpful. Everything was good except for the dessert. I didin't like the trilace.

I’ve bring visiting this restaurant for years. Quality hasn’t changed. Great place to eat fish. Great service. Affordable prices

Found this hidden Gem in the TripAdvisor list. It did not disappoint. Located near little havana. Very clean. Lots of friendly staff. Ordered the snapper sandwich... the house specialty. It is served deboned, tail on, in a very fresh bun. Very tasty. Worth the visit!

We went for late lunch ordered Conch fritters were very tasty. Had seafood burrito and the pan con minuta. Everything was delicious and very fresh. Please Note Cash only.

Place was clean, family atmosphere, food extremely fresh and just cooked and service was attentive and courteous.

The best spot for affordable delicious seafood in the Miami Beach area. Get the sampler for your table appetizer and the snapper sandwich for dinner.

Were in coconut Grove two nights and it was so good the first night we went back the second night. First night we had fried oysters, snapper sandwich and then ordered lobster poppers. A nice couple who are frequent visitors today us we should have ordered the shrimp instead so we decided to go back the second night and ordered the shrimp and she was right!! Shrimp and red snapper sandwich were absolutely over there too delicious!! Love that we could bring our own bottle of wine in without getting hit with a bottle fee!. And just a little shout out for the grocery store at the end of the plaza, they have wonderful prices on their wine and soda if you forget to bring some of your own!!!

Great fresh seafood. Always come here for a whole fried fish, which is great, you can even pick your own fish from the market. Only reason for the 4 stars is they are cash only (they do have an atm on site), and they don't sell alcohol, but they do allow you to get your own from the store next door. Good choice for native and visitors as well.

Conch fritters and fried yellow tail were both superb. Fish wasn’t cheap but it isn’t cheap anywhere. You get what you pay for. The food was great and fast. And we bought beers from the store next door and brought them in. Because there are no rules in Florida. Worth the drive to get here

I saw this restaurant on diner, drive in's, and dives. I also saw it on Unique Eats. I had to try it once I visited Miami. The place was packed on a Friday night but we were able to get a table. The staff was busy but very nice. I had the Fried whole fish, a Yellow tail, and the Fried Shrimp. The quality of the seafood was top notch. The fish was so tender. The shrimp was not over cooked. My only concern was the flavor. The flavor was bland and the fried flavor of the skin of the whole fried fish and the breaded shrimp was the same. The cocktail sauce and tarter sauce were nothing special either. There was no boldness in any of the flavors. If you want high quality tender fish, 5 stars. The fried shrimp, good but nothing to rave about. Maybe with all the hoopla on TV, my expectations were too high, but I would not put this place above others. I wouldn't even put it above the Garcia Brothers Fish Restaurant on the Miami River which they are somehow connected to. They are cash only. Come on, Camaronera, just because you opened 50 years ago doesn't mean you can't move into the 21st century.

This is the place to go for authentic Cuban fried seafood. Order the fried fish sandwich or the fried shrimp along with some conch fritters and you can't go wrong. Eating is stricklty standing up at the counter and it's always packed so be prepared.

Not much to look at in a nondescript strip of small businesses in Little Havana, but there is hidden treasure coming from the kitchen. We shared a wonderful shrimp empanada before having a top notch fried shrimp meal with French fries. The shrimp are truly remarkable. My wife and I agreed that they were about the best we ever had. We have eaten a lot of fried shrimp together in the 51 years we've known each other, so this is no small kudos! Much more looked good as we watched the nearby tables. Definitely coming back.

I was there with my family yesterday. I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years. I orderd the original minuta fish sandwich and the waiter told me that i) needed to buy a whole fish in order to purchase 4 minutas. The minutas did not taste like the originals especially the batter that was used it was not acceptable. I ordered a basket of fried shrimp and they did not taste anything like the normally did especially the batter again. The yellow rice tasted like the traditional however but what happened to the fish chunks. Its a shame the such a great restaurant has been ruined is it the cooks, owner or administration to blame i dont know but like i said for $135 dollars later iI should have gone somewhere else.

First of all this is a very unpretentious restaurant with very caring and friendly service. The snapper sandwich was very, very tasty. That fish had not been out of the water I assure you. It is as ethnic as it is good.

I came here to try the the pan con minuta that some of the local food reviewers tout. It was nothing special at all. I love these kinds of restaurants and the people were friendly and the service good. I would come back and try some of the other items.

Conch Fritters should be all I need to write. We had shrimp, fish, and the fritters and everything was good. Our youngest teen could not even eat everything so that says a lot about the size of the portions cause that boy can put away some groceries. The place is very clean and modern. Space is a bit limited inside and for parking outside so plan accordingly. Remember, they only take cash but they do have an ATM on site.

Wife found this place through the internet. Small parking lot, but luckily we found a space to park. The food are fresh and delicious, everything we ordered are fresh and good - snapper sandwich, fried lobster, snapper bisque. This coming from very picky fresh seafood foodies from Taiwan, you know they are good!! Had a repeat visit last month while on errands in Miami, and the fried whole fish was excellent!! Will be back for more......

The food was amazing. We ate at a lot of spots while visiting Miami, this place was one of my better spots to eat. The food was Fresh and the service was spot on. The prices are a little high, but this is Miami. I honestly feel the process reflect the quality of food and service. So I didn't mind the price at all. A must go to eat place when in the area. The reason for 4 stars is that it lacks parking and it could be an issue.

A must if you're visiting Miami!! Great service and food!!! Best seafood and fresh off the market. Pleasant and friendly establishment with a great menu selection.

You will enjoy this dining experience if you seek the absolutely freshest of fish (as in, caught hours ago), cooked simply, and served quickly in a bustling environment (with problematical parking), and are prepared to spend a minimum of $25.00, including tip but not including beverages, in cash. Given the low-overhead and location of this admitted "joint" (as the owners self-describe it), the prices could nearly be cut in half and there would still be a handsome profit to be had. Try it once for the experience, but after that make your own economic decision.

This casual seafood restaurant has been around for many years and they serve a variety of fresh options with latin sides like tostones and maduros.

This is a small restaurant in a strip mall. It has very good seafood selections. Order the lobster sandwich and the fried oysters. You can by beer or wine next door. This is a cash only place.

Attended on a Saturday afternoon having read great reviews. It didn’t disappoint. We had great service and help with recommendations. We were lucky to get a table straight away whilst others had to wait due to the popularity. The seafood was cooked to perfection with some amazing dips. The fish fingers sandwich was amazing as was the maritza sampler and the burrito. We will be back before we have to fly home to try some other dishes .

I did not want to go in, did not think I would ever even get a parking space! However, it was so worth waiting for. The sweet owner is such a gracious host, the food some of the best I have ever had, and the atmosphere is just light and fun! I rate this as one of the top restaurants I have ever been to.

everything to the point no confusion delicious, good price, fast cash only good service good food fried shrimp is special

A funky little dive spot in Lil Havana, Miami. Was shown in Diners Drive-ins and Dives years ago and still incerdibly fresh and tasty. Had three different dishes! (since the first one was so good!) Started off with an empanada de camaron (shrimp). Then had a dish recommended by the waiter. "Sweet Chilli Seafood". So fresh and a sweet and not too spicy taste. After that, I was just a pig. I had the kids meal which was called "Fish finger meal" Four fresh lightly flavored fish sticks with yellow rice. Washed it down with a 1917 original "Iron Beer" (similar to a Dr. Pepper). Can't wait to return to Miami for this wonderful treat! Hard to find, in a small strip mall. Go gotta go. You can even choose your fish from their ice bin.

Highly recommend this joint! Had the shrimp and fish sandwich and a basket of fries. Very fresh and lightly battered. BYOB pickup next door 😊

Everything on the menu is great! I get the snapper sandwich (if they have it). The shrimp burrito is stuffed to capacity. The fish and shrimp in sweet chili sauce is to die for. Don't leave without trying the fried shrimp. Huge portions for the price.

Great fish market n restaurant just on the other side of Little Havana in Miami. Been there several times after seeing on ddd. The best fried snapper and shrimp around. Small space but great food n staff.

We have been eating here for years. I try to make their shrimp at home, but don't come close. Friendly people serving simple good food. Thanks for always being there.

We decided to stop by the restaurant for lunch because it was on DD&D show (the only reason). Boy, what happened to it? The service was horrible. The food was terrible. We ordered fish sandwiches and fish sticks, and we asked if there are bones, they said "No, boneless".. Guess what - Fish sandwich was full of bones, impossible to eat, through the sandwich away. The fish sticks had bones too, not as much but still very dangerous. The best thing was lobster sandwich but NOT worth $20. You will pay $15-$20 for a sandwich, all sides are extra. Very overpriced, poor quality, and they lie to you. Out of all the places that's been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives - this is the worst place, by far.

This place is in an up and coming area. Lots of road construction at the moment and the restaurant closes early so I recommend lunch or very early dinner. We went around 2:30pm and it was great. We had fried clams, oysters, and fried lobster. Everything down to the key lime pie was absolutely delicious! The staff was excellent and very friendly. We enjoyed everything we ordered. I give this place five stars and recommend it highly.

The fried shrimp & fried fish sandwiches are both pretty good. Nothing extraordinary. But the fried lobster chunks and friend grouper cheeks are out of this world. You order both of these by the lb. These are the two items on the menu that keep me coming back. Unfortunately, they seem to occasionally run out. A little surprising since they call themselves a seafood market and they have somewhat limited hours. Plus, the prices seem to increase regularly...all the more reason to never run out of the fresh seafood. Oh well. I'll continue to return a few times a year when I'm flying in/out of MIA because it's that good. FYI - less than 10 min drive from the airport. They don't serve beer but there's a corner grocery next door and they sell tall boys for about $1.50.

Local hangout Counter or table service. Not fancy or pretty but this place has good fresh seafood. Located W. Flagler street and 19 ave.

This cozy restaurant in Little Havana surprised us. You'll find fresh fish, good and quick service. Don't forget to try their Pan con Minuta.

Before we went out of town, my family and I came to La Camaronera Seafood for lunch. I have not eaten here in years. My dad used to bring my family and I here on Saturdays. I had a taste for a shrimp sandwich and it was really delicious and fresh. The bun was fresh as well. My husband had a fish sandwich. He love snapper, so that's the fish he had ordered. We ordered take-out and the food was still hot. The employees were really nice. Please make sure you have enough cash because they don't take credit cards. If not, they have an ATM machine inside. I will most definitely visit again.

I seen this fish sandwich on diners dive ins and dives and from that point I made it a mission to have it. It was worth all $8 and the miles traveled from DC! We also got a order of fried oysters and they were perfect! If in Miami you need to do yourself a favor and get here.

We stopped by to eat lunch after flying into Miami as we wanted to visit Little Havana while in town. The food was fantastic, the service great, and a cool atmosphere inside. We had the conch fritters as an appetizer and the fried shrimp combo and seafood tacos. Their seafood was very fresh, well prepared and we enjoyed it with the yellow rice and plantains. Great portions for lunch and priced reasonably for the amount of food that we got. The only caution would be to bring cash sufficient to cover your meal as the restaurant only accepts cash. They do offer an ATM to help with this, but given bank fees differ, thought this was worth mentioning.

It's a very casual location, but you should never judge a book from its cover. Give La Camaronera a chance and you won't be disappointed. High quality seafood and friendly staff.

We keep coming back to this little Latin hole in the wall because it has really excellent seafood. The place is a self described "joint", but the service is friendly and helpful, even if you are among the few non-Spanish speaking patrons. Don't let the neighborhood discourage you. We've never had a problem and you can usually find parking right in front. If you want the freshest most delicious Gulf shrimp in Miami, or beautifully seasoned fried fish, conch fritters or calimari, this is the place to come.

My wife & I went to visit a good friend in Miami & we use to eat lunch nearly every week at La Camaronera . We use to order the best shrimp with amazing yellow rice & huge chunks of the best fish in it. Plus a side of perfectly cooked tostones for the total of about $12 each meal! The price was not the issue especially since our good friends were treating us ; all though it made the experience worst that the food was pretty bad & they paid over 120 dollars for the four of us. Reminiscing in the good ole times we ordered the same thing we always order. So the breaded shrimp was ok but the rice reminded me of uncle Bens box rice with no fish in it and no taste. The tostones were so hard we couldn’t even eat them. I’m sorry to say one of our favorite places in Miami is definitely not as good as it use to be and more expensive. I hope this is not a trend since the epidemic hit , causing restaurants to cut back & diminish their reputations. Unfortunately we will not be eating at La Camaronera any time soon again.

Every time I'm close to this restaurant I have lunch there. The best fries shrimp I've had because it's caught locally and it's fresh. This is an institution in Miami. Highly recommended. They only take cash and it's a little hole in the wall place

Whenever I'm traveling to a new city I always do research on restaurants etc in the area: I look at articles or blogs that feature restaurants that are off the beaten path or maybe a little more unique than your basic steakhouses etc I found this gem of a restaurant on a website I think it was Called Eater Miami? Or miami Eater 38'best restaurants or something of the sort I was skeptical when we were driving thru a questionable area but pulled into a parking spot right in front of the restaurant and it only got better after we walked thru the door The shrimp-amazing! The snapper sandwich - my favorite! The conch fritters with yummy sauce - couldn't stop eating them Shrimp Empanadas - so flavorful The plantain cakes - interesting Rice - yummy Shrimp and fish burrito - my man's fave This is a cash only restaurant but I did see an ATM in the back by the bathroom Side Note : one thing I always look for in a restaurant - cleanliness The bathrooms were squeaky clean!!!! Please visit this place if you are in the Miami area if you want interesting and unique seafood You will not be disappointed

Nice little seafood joint. Good food, fast and nice service. Serving sizes are ok, if you’re hungry make sure to get an appetizer.

I am surprised this place gets good reviews. But to me, is not worth it. Is a normal local place, where the price for the food is overpaid. I ordered a Hogfish which supposedly weight 2.2lbs and I was charged U$$$41.78 for the fish only, no side order comes for that price, just the fish, the side salad was U$3.95 and the platains U$3.95. So basically I end up paying U$49.65 without inluiding tax and tip. None of the meals include side order. The place only accepts CASH, and on the bill they charge for the tip before you even include it. For that price and the place, I rather go to RedLobster.

Just had lunch here and really enjoyed myself. Fresh fish.Fresh bread and friendly atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Would come back when in the neighborhood. They don't accept cash but they have an ATM machine if you forget that fact.

quick bite befor a Marlins game half mile before stadium. Got conch fritters and some shrimp and all were good. Drank a draft of La Playita that was good. Added fries to complete dinner. Everything was hreat especially service. Was surprised by cash only at the end of the meal so be prepared for that. Atm was available but you know the rates.

This is not a fancy place, simple, clean and with the typical Miami style service: fast and direct, with the basic courtesy. It worked for me because the food was simply delicious, fresh and well priced. Try the shrimp and fish burritos. They are huge and delicious!

!!TOURIST TRAP!! Over priced food not locally caught, frozen seafood, small portions and to top it off horrible service.

We started with conch fritters that were superb. I had the shrimp tacos that were worth the wait. Mario had their famous fish sandwich which was awesome. Juli had the shrimp empanada also very good. This place never disappoints. I recommend this place highly. So bring your appetite and lots of cash because they don’t take credit cards, debit or Apple Pay.

Great food! Friendly waitstaff. We got there just before noon and had to wait about 10 minutes. I had the seafood burrito and it was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent fried fish and shrimp. We would definitely go back, although they don't serve alcohol and are in a strip mall that is tricky to find.

So the place was nothing of what I expect on the drive in. I'm from Chicago so a little "hood" doesn't scare me away, and don't let the location scare you away either. The young ladies even opened the door as they anticipated our arrival by watching the people exit their cars. The young guy serving was great he explained almost everything on the menu to us with a smile. He even gave us a sample of the grouper soup. I ordered the original sandwich and it didn't disappoint. It's a good choice. The fish was cooked well and wasn't greasy at all. I ordered fries and to my surprise they didn't taste like seafood at all. Everything was so fresh. Cool spot.

The minimal cantina style of the place, fits perfect to the fish market concept ! We ordered the fried calamari, mussels, fries and a fish sandwich! Everything was really tasty and affordable! The stuff was great too! I totally recommend it! I would definitely come here again !

This incredible little restaurant has plenty of reviews but I have to throw mine in here as well. Located in a small strip mall along "always under construction Flagler Street" is easy to miss, but trust me, you don't want to! The seafood is fresh, well prepared, and not over-priced based on what you get. The hostess/ waitress seats you right away and the first thing I did was order the hush puppies made from black-eyed peas if you can believe that. They're not your typical puppies, but definitely worth a shot. I had butterflied shrimp with a real light batter, and no greasy smell or lake of oil left on the plate. The grouper soup was also outstanding and even the fries were fresh and hot. There are tons of seafood spots in Miami, naturally, but give this one a try and you'll return. From the wait staff to the wonderful food you won't be sorry.

If you are looking for a gourmet restaurant , this is not the place. It is a diner with a preponderance of fried food. So if you are on a health kick you may want to stay away. Parking is at a premium and Flagler is torn up and under construction. If you can get past that, our food was very good. The fried calamari was done to perfection ( reminded me of good calamari in Spain), the pan con minuta was perfectly done and my wife's fish was very good. All seafood was very fresh. Service was also very good but at the end of the day it is still a diner environment so expect accordingly. We would definitely return.

Ok folks, this is seafood at its finest. Staff is very friendly and the place is clean as a whistle. They know how to prepare fish with a Cuban twist.

We wanted some seafood for lunch and had read about La Camaronera and decided to check it out. I'm so glad that we did! It's a kind of small place in a strip mall but don't let that dissuade you trying them out. One thing though, bring cash. They don't take credit cards. We had the fried shrimp as mentioned and it was very tasty. We also had the fried lobster (after our server explained what it is). Basically they take the inside of the lobster out and fry it and place it back into the lobster. It looks basically like "lobster poppers" or something. It's also very good as well. I also had the yellow rice. Which is ...well.. yellow rice. Nothing special there. Also you can get fries.

The food was very good, but the atmosphere is lacking. I had the fried shrimp and the batter used to fry them was so good. But, beware unless you get the combo all you get on the plate is the shrimp. They do not serve alcohol and they only have coke products.

Wow, wow, wow! I'm surprised I've never eaten at this Miami treasure before----known for its Cuban styled seafood like the pan con minuta in which I came to try! Came on a weekday during lunch hours and the place was pretty busy. We had to find street parking since the small parking lot out front was full which was easy on the block adjacent to this shopping center. Though they have plenty of seating I could see this restaurant getting hectic during prime hours so heads up! My boyfriend and I were starving so we decided to try three different sandwiches to share: the camaraonera (fried shrimp) $7.95, the corvina $7.75, and the famed pan con minuta (snapper) $7.95. None of their sandwiches come with a side so we also the yellow rice which was phenomenal and had so much flavor----I have a keen feeling they use their grouper broth to make it! All of their sandwiches were exceptional and I highly recommend any of them though for some reason I especially loved the corvina sandwich. They use fresh cuban bread and minimal toppings to deliver a simple sandwich that focuses on the quality of their seafood! We felt our whole meal was very satisfying and after eyeing other peoples tables, our only regret was not ordering the shrimp burrito that looked insanely delicious which I will most definitely be back to try! The service was also extremely attentive, knowledgeable, quick, and very friendly! They have plenty of staff which I appreciated since we were so hungry---our food came out faster than most restaurants I've been too so you know this restaurant has their operation down to a science. I also noted that our server spoke perfect spanish and english which in that part of town can be hard to find, making our experience run smoothly. I highly highly recommend eating here as I truly loved it and can't wait to come back for more delicious seafood eats! IG:@KFitzEats

This must be the cleanest place in Miami! Even the restroom was spotless. Service was friendly and quick. Had the fried fish sand the fried shrimp combos, which come with yellow rice and tostones. There are only about a dozen tables and a few counter barstools. All were filled, but we lucked into a just opened table. Steady stream of folks collecting take out. Small parking lot out front. Cash only. Tip not included in total. Although no one at the surrounding tables was speaking English, our waitress did.

Cozy little spot where locals catch some fresh seafood. Nothing fancy…just great fish 🐟 You would never notice this decades old restaurant is here unless you got lost while driving in Downtown Miami. Truly a hidden jewel.

Excellent and prompt service! Food was delicious, especially the fried shrimp, and yellow rice! Highly recommend!

This is a locals hangout where you can bring your own beer/wine. The fish is sublime, everything fresh and the shrimp tacos may be this best thing you will eat in Miami. A great cultural/ food experience, no wonder Diners Drive-inns & dives loved this place. The limes are so perfect I wonder if they do not have a lime tree out back.

Love it here! I always get the special fish sandwich. The chili seafood is delicious, as is the seafood burrito (stuffed with fish). Service is great, waiters are friendly.

What a pleasant surprise we got when we went to have lunch at this good restaurant. The waitress Wendy attended us with a smile and with a lot of knowledge, because she perfectly understood my daughter in low, because she cannot eat seafood, only fish. The shrimp camaronera suggestion was excellent, as was the delicious Grouper soup with rice. We will certainly return again very soon.

I have been coming here for a few years and to say this is the best snapper sandwich in miami would be an understatement! But I went and got the shrimp empanada which is a game changer! I love shrimp and I love empanadas! I was so sad I didn’t try this sooner the empanada is incredible! Must go find this hole in a wall spot if you want the perfect taste of fresh, friendly and fast service!

Hard to believe so highly rated. We arrived at six pm for dinner tonight we were the only ones in the outdoor seating. I asked where are all the people and the waitress said they are busy at breakfast, so perhaps that explains why dinner was awful. Based on reviews we drove thirty minutes for a meal we could not even eat. We ordered the whole fish which was really dry, we asked for a sauce , perhaps some melted butter, garlic and lemon which they could not accommodate. There are so many charming fish restaurants in Miami , this is one I cannot recommend, and find it hard to know how they have earned a Michelin star.

Family and and I went for lunch. 3 of us got the snapper sandwich which was good. Nothing outstanding. 2 others got the corvina sandwich and they said it was a bit fishy. During our visit the place was packed with camera men and interviewers, made it difficult to even use the restroom. Overall it was just ok. Expected sandwiches to be served with a side.

The food was great and the atmosphere as well. However, they don't take card, which is highly inconvenient especially for people that come from out of town - with this being a touristy city. Also, the service was pretty awful, the servers seemed upset most of the time and you could definitely tell they didn't want to be there. Decent.

First place I hit when I got to Miami las week on the way from the airport. As always, very good. Mostly locals. The conch fritters were great. The shrimp were great. The maduros great. The beer cold. And the owner, always so welcoming. Love this place.

I have been coming here for over 30 years, the original place was half the size, no chairs and everyone stood to eat with 3 people waiting behind them, The food is so good no one ever complained. Now the sons have expanded and modernized it. not as economical as before, but it is still worth experiencing. My favorites, fried shrimp, oysters, pan con minuta, fried hogfish.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. After reading the reviews I’m convinced people who work here wrote them because this place was just okay and nothing special about it. I will say the shrimp empanada I had was very good other than that the fried shrimp sandwich I had was not seasoned and everything is overpriced. You can definitely go to a chain seafood restaurant and get better quality seafood for a lower price. The server was really nice though and the food came out pretty quickly.

This is a small place but it's clean and offers the best fresh fish and shrimp ever. Service was frat and good. The food delicious and even the flan was awesome!!👍🍤😋

They keep weird hours (they close at 5:30 during the week) but we had an early dinner there that was really good. I had the lobster sandwich and i loved the bread, sauce, and the lobster. They have tostones which is a direct line to my heart. They were really good and the fries were good as well. I enjoyed it a lot! It is cash only, though. I had cash but that's not always convenient.

They nickle and dime you. Not good for value. We went on Saturday afternoon it was very noisy, no parking, they ran out if fried grouper on a busy Saturday. The food has all artifical ingredients.

My wife and I stopped at La Camaronera for a quick lunch after flying into Miami. The restaurant is tucked away in a small strip of stores. We got there at about 11:30 AM on a weekday and there was plenty of seating available. However, by the time we left, the restaurant was packed. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a very friendly waitress. We ordered fried calamari, shrimp tacos and fried shrimp (Camaronera fritas). The shrimp tacos were excellent and you get 4 tacos with the order. The fried shrimp had a very light breading and was served with a tasty roumalade sauce. Everything that we had was excellent and we are looking forward to stopping there one more time before we return to the North.

This Cuban spot has been here since the 70s. Small but full of history. Family owned. Fresh seafood. Delicious everything! Service is attentive and friendly. Come and mingle with the locals!

Trying new food in Miami, found this place, nice local with excellent food, but in 2016 a business that don't accept credit or debit card is crazy, heyy guys let the business grow, I could not order more for that reazon, besides check some attitud of your waiters.

The restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall around Little Havana in Miami. the food is totally worth the stop there. P.S. Don't go there if you are on a diet! Lots of fried fish options on the menu. Their house specialty sauce is divine. Excellent seafood for reasonable prices. $$ We recommend the fried schrimp plate as well as the lobster sandwich. Empanadas too.

Well worth the Visit if you're in the hood. New place. The old one had more character. Fish sand one of the best ever. Service great.

I loved the shrimp and conch fritters. We went there because we saw this place on travel travel and decided to try new food places we see on tv weekly. We will go back there again.

Good value for money quality , to enjoy delicious seafood in simple but pleasant place , recommended 100% It has parking in front and free

This is one of the worst places I have been for lunch. Extremely pricey for being a hole on a wall and they don’t know what customer service is. I ordered a fish filet and it was full of grease. It was supposed to be grilled. It had no flavor. The salad I had to leave. They just threw a bunch of letters not even take the time to cut it. The Tostones I ordered are the ones you buy at home to fry. That was. Or bad. I will not recommend or come back to this place. Also I found it interesting they don’t take credit cards only cash. They have long way to go. Worst $38 ever spent.

This place impressed me. Food was fresh and delicious. Fried calamari‘s and the arroz con mariscos were the bomb.com. THIS IS A CASH ONLY RESTAURANT that threw me off since I hardly carry cash. They have an ATM inside that charges you a fee. This place is a family oriented restaurant and the service is not fast but considering I wasn’t in a rush it was ok to me. Highly recommended!

We were visiting from New Orleans, a place that does a pretty good job of frying fish. But seriously, this was some of the best fried seafood I've eaten. The whole fish was especially good--as were the fried shrimp. This is a no nonsense, rather small, strip mall place full of locals. We were there on a Sunday afternoon at 2 and it was packed with people waiting. The staff will deal with you quite pleasantly in English, but the preferred language is definitely Spanish. Can't beat the prices. No alcohol.

ARE YOU READY FOR IT?!?!? No I was not ready for it Taylor. This food made me want to do something bad. I was enchanted to eat the fried shrimp. MAJOR SLAY. 22-15 + the one= ATE which is exactly what I did. DONT BLAME ME for leaving a 5 star review. #readyforit #yummyfood #Slaythehousedown ❤️🏈😘💃

Saw reviews and wanted to explore Little Havana, so I stopped by on way to airport. Reviews here are pretty accurate - it is a cash-only joint with really good seafood. Menu is limited but plenty to choose from. Shrimp were super fresh and reminded me of what I used to get when I was a kid (grew up in coastal FLA). My server was efficient and did an excellent job (wore a hair covering). Really convenient to airport. Parking is a bit tight. You really get a flavor of Little Havana here.

This was my first time here and it was a very pleasant surprise. The area will make you think you are in a bad area, but truly the food is amazing. The shrimp is some of the best I have had. The yellow fish was really good; everyone loved their meals. And, I was told to try the cappuchino that has a little brown sugar in it. Yum!

They might only have a few tables but it is worth the wait and we will return again. Food was very good service made you feel at home. We loved the food and the atmosphere. Thank you for a great meal experience.

This place is amazing and the waiter was also fantastic too notch. Would for sure come back again. Very good food. Impressed.

If you want to eat fresh shrimp, calamari, awesome fish tacos or arroz con mariscos this is the place for you. My family and I have been going to this location for years. It's family owned, good service, casual, prices are reasonable and the dishes are delicious.

As a local, I can honestly tell all tourists this place is a MUST! They have the best seafood in the entire city. It’s been featured on the food network, but trust me when I tell you this is the restaurant you don’t want to miss during your trip. The fried lobster is HUGE, but my favorite is the shrimp, tostones, and definitely ask for extra pink sauce. Just bring cash because they do not accept credit cards.

This a DDD food channel restaurant. The food is great,. I had the house fish sandwich and my wife the rice with seafood, both were great. Total price 31 dollar. Now they have seating, about five caferia style. We liked it, and will go back. Only concern was that service was a little slow in the tables.

As the tittle says, you can pay a lot of money in another restaurant, but the food here is fresh, cooked right in front of you. These people have been at this location for cover 30 years and they are planning yo be another 30 years in business.....👍❤️

It was good years ago,not now,not coming back if is free, terrible, fish selection very limited, prices not according quality and sides overprice.

Things change and so did my old haunt. Service so so, who care as long as food is good. But portions are smaller and prices have gone up substantially. Ohh well it was great once.

On our way to the Keys we had heard about this restaurant. So glad we took the time to find it!! Do not let the location scare you off. It is in a strip center with a Cuban market and retail clothing stop. It is a casual place, do not serve alcohol but I saw 2 parties bring in their own beers. Come here for the fresh fish! I order whole fish so they take you to the counter and you pick the type and one you want. I picked a hog fish and was not disappointed! They do not over batter the fish, it was perfect! My friend order a fish sandwich, which she said was good, but she as jealous of my fish! The service was good and it was also fast. Every dish I saw other patrons getting looked so good! Put this place on your list!

Ever since I found out about La Camaronera I made it a goal to go asap soooo of course I had a chance to book a trip to Miami and going to eat there was a must! It was NOT a disappointment!! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious .. I ordered the original Pan con minuta, tostones and empanada de camarón.. everything was beyond delicious .. definitely stop by and eat if you're ever in the area!!

A fun, very casual restaurant in Little Havana, La Camaronera has fantastic food. Everything is deep fried! WOW! Anyone who knows my reviews knows I L-O-V-E fried foods, this place is the best. We started with 2 appetizers - Fried Calamari, cooked to perfection and the most heavenly fried chunks of lobster. They were sweet, and tender in an excellent batter. My partner had the Fried Shrimp (Camarones Fritos) for his entree. La Camaronera is known to have the best shrimp in Miami. And this choice did not disappoint. In a word, fantastic! I chose another house specialty, the fried Snapper sandwich, the Pan Con Minuta. Cooked perfectly with chopped onion, and a delicious house dressing on a wonderful roll. If you can, go to Little Havana take in the culture and eat the best seafood at the most reasonable prices. As if all this wasn't enough we had a wonderful server, Dayana, I believe - she was attentive and very kind. This was no small task since the restaurant was filled. Oh, don't let me forget to mention this is also a full-on seafood store as well. FYI - CASH ONLY. You should know that going in. I believe they may have an ATM in the back of the restaurant. I'm not sure, I didn't look for it. We'll be going back.

We decided to try this restaurant after reading a few reviews. I agree that the area might be a little intimidating for some; however, once we walked inside and saw the number of people eating, we knew we would stay. Our server was wonderful. She offered suggestions and had a great sense of humor. The menu was not overwhelming with items. I ordered the Camarones Fritos or their Famous Fried Shrimp with Fries. They were very tasty. My sister had the shrimp tacos, which she loved. When I return to Miami, I will try to go back.

My wife and I were in Miami overnight and decided to head into Little Havana for some (hopefully) great seafood. It was, in the overall sense, a success. The plantain appetizer (platano maduros) was outstanding, as were the black eyed pea fritters. My conch fritters were good, but have had better. My wife decided to have spiny lobster, not realizing that it would be fried in batter. She is gluten free. The manager immediately offered to do a broiled version, so kudos to him. That arrived in perhaps 10 minutes, was very good, but probably not the best value for money. He also convinced us to have a piece of key lime pie, which is close to the best I’ve ever had. And finally, he comped that beautiful piece of pie for our wait on the redone lobster. All in all, an excellent meal.

My husband and I visited this restaurant this week during our trip to Miami. We did not feel welcome at this restaurant and will not be returning. As soon as our waiter came over to our table and before asking us anything said "we only take cash only". Although you would have to be visually impaired not to see the "cash only" sign in English, clearly displayed on the door as you walk in. He only addressed this fact to us the only American or more specifically Black Americans customers in the restaurant. Additionally, the whole time we were there, his attitude and behavior towards us was oddly different than other customers he served. It was very easy to decipher this because of the small size of the seating area. We chose this place because of previous reviews. Doesn't matter how good the food is, if people don't respect you they don't deserve your money or business!

Awesome seafood, prices and service. The lady at the front was so sweet with the biggest smile to greet you! She was so nice explaining the menu choices and telling me what they had for happy hour. The oysters were huge and awesome at $1.25 durning happy hour! And the pan con Minuta was amazing! Ceviche was not very good, but not even docking a star since everything else was so delicious! Definitely worth a stop if you’re in little Havana!

I saw this place on tv and wanted to try it. I loved the shrimp meal and the service was awesome. I recommend this place to anyone.

Went on a Friday night great food. Excellent service. Very affordable prices. They do not sell alcohol but you can bring your own or buy it next door.

The worst restaurant I have visited in my entire life... I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was of terrible quality everything tasted bland and seemed poorly prepared. The portion sizes were ridiculously small, especially considering the outrageously high prices. It felt like a complete waste of money. To make matters worse, the staff didn’t seem very attentive or interested in addressing our concerns. I definitely won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for good food or value for their money.!!

Modern canteen style layout & very relaxed vibe. Mostly locals & a few office workers when we were there. But like a Miami version of a British fish & chips shop but done Florida & Cuba mode. Extremely pleasant & friendly staff and if you ask nicely they’ll sell you a shirt too. Highly recommended before or after a shlepp around Luttle Gavana, though don’t suggest to walk it from the resto (as we did) as its too far & too hot.

The food is o.k. but I find it pricy considering that you have to eat standing, on a counter Woolco/Woolworth style cafeteria ( the aforementioned places had seats). The food is fresh, but nothing you couldn’t find elsewhere at more comfortable place. Recommend it if your in a hurry for lunch, and in the mood for seafood.

A fish lovers heaven. This place is not in the fanciest place but omg the food is delicious. The conch fritters are an absolute hit. And of course as the name suggests it the shrimp to die for. But we also really enjoyed the blackened snapper. The yuca fries were the best I have had...ever. Great place for lunch, closes early. Super service as well.

Fresh seafood, very well prepared, good atmosphere, very good service, reasonable portions and prices a little higher than other similar eateries, with the difference that here you get real lobster and not the plastic version so it is worth the price difference.

Everything is delicious i tried almost every plate on the menu! The best plate is the sweet chilli seafood, my favorite! Highly recommended.

If you are a sucker for fried fish & seafood, La Camaronera is the place to go. Fried shrimps - yum. Fried fish fillet - yum. Conch fritters - yum. Tostones (fried plaintains) - so so. Washed down with cool Coronas? Si si!

They do a great job on fresh seafood. The sides are just fair—usual Cuban items of rice, beans, plantains. Fried is the way to go. Fritters are loaded with conch. Get items as appetizers and save money. Go early when they open .

In Miami with some time to kill so made it over to La Camaronera Fish Market... it was 90 degrees outside and HOT!!! The ice cold Coke only made the fried calamari, shrimp empanada and shrimp tacos taste even better! The place was pretty clean, service was good and the food was very tasty....worth the long hot walk there!! My favorite was the fried calamari and my husband's was the shrimp tacos.

Place looks like a dive and parking is limited but the food is simply outstanding and fresh. I had the specialty snapper sandwich with some fried shrimp for an appetizer. Restaurant does not sell beer or wine but there is a store next door that you can purchase drinks and bring them inside and drink while seated. I cannot say enough about the great dining experience. This nothing fancy but highly recommended..

This place is a hidden gem and off the beaten path. The seafood could not have been so fresh! The service was great and the prices were very reasonable!!!

This was our first time at this restaurant and it was great. The waiter was nice, explained the dishes and gave us time to order, even though we came in 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday. We order the famous black eyed pea fritters for an appetizer, and order another patch for desert. My wife enjoyed her fish sandwich and I had a fresh whole fish fried. The fish was scored and fried. Even the skin was nice. The niceness of the waiter made all the difference. I will definitely come back again for more black eyed pea fritters and fresh fish. If I am feeling rich i will order the deep-fried lobster. BTW, the black eyed pea fritters are not on the menu.

Great food great environment. Friendly and prompt service and very reasonable prices. The fried shrimp was the best thing we had. The tostones were the only disappointment. The restaurant is CASH ONLY. FYI. You should go

They have great Food, but the waitress have bad actitud, she make fall our sunglasses and dident said “sorry” The restaurant close at 5:30 we arrive at 4:30 and the have part of the restaurant close with the chair on the table. Hope the hire better waitresses

Great price, fast and good service, perfectly fried shrimp and fish roe, delicious yellow rice with fish bits, fresh tasting fries. I would recommend it to any seafood lover. Cant go wrong with this seafood spot

Maybe it was the high expectations after seeing it on diners, drive in and dives, but the food was just ok. Wait staff was extremely helpful.

Small local restaurant close to Calle 8. The prices are very fair and the food is awesome. Staff is welcoming and recommends the good stuff. No complains and would come back eyes closed.

With friends to try new and different lunch spots. This was fantastic, we had fried local lobster that was great, being from Boston area thought would never say that but it was great, fried shrimp was fresh and delicious, conch fritters were best ever.. there fri. Say specialseafood/rice bowl also great. Service was fast and great

I wanted to get out of touristy Miami to a neighborhood place with good food and this was a perfect choice. A takeout seafood counter with about 10 casual tables. Straight up fresh seafood started by two Cuban brothers. Nothing fancy, mostly fried, which can be a his medium fir fresh fish. Fish sandwich is yummy and still had tail on. The fried corvino is basic but really shows of the fish. The fried lobster was a first for me and good. Some good local draft beers too. Very affordable.

So glad we found this Cuban seafood restaurant! It was very good! Not much seating but the wait was short and definitely worth it. Husband had the snapper sandwich and thought it was cooked perfectly. Was expecting lots of seasoning but was surprised at the light seasoning that didn’t overpower the seafood. Waitress was super nice too!

Read about this place on Tripadvisor. It didn’t disappoint. Shrimp and yellow rice were wonderful. We had to order more shrimp. If my wife gets seconds on anything fried it has to be good. Best meal in Miami. The shrimp are fried tail off, just pop one in your mouth. And try the flan. This is a nap meal.

Not on any fashion list, and no parking. But when you get seated the service is fast. Everything on the menu is fresh, the shrimp are good.

Got the grilled fish with salsa and plantains. Very fresh and cooked perfectly. Took the tres leches cake to my son. Service was fast but do not take cards as it is a cash only place. They do serve beer now so go and enjoy some excellent food.

Dubbed a “Seafood Joint & Fish Market” it was based on the recommendation of others that a return visit to La Camaronera was planned before exiting Miami, suggestions that a 2014 visit was “ordered wrong” immediately debunked when, at noon, the Restaurant had already sold out of their “legendary” Pan con Minuta. Open daily at 11:30, but apparently crippled by “a busy weekend” per wait staff, lunch instead started with underwhelming (again) Frituras de Cobo and a fairly basic Corvina Sandwich, the Tostones admittedly far better than notes from six years prior suggest but still not on par with Old’s or Garcia’s. Located just a few miles from Biscayne Bay, and practicing all recommended safety measures amidst the pandemic, dining improved with grilled Shrimp Tacos slathered in Onions and Peppers while “Arsenio’s Favorite Burrito” comes over-stuffed and enjoyable, the fact that Tres Leches was also 86’d instead necessitating Key Lime Pie for Dessert – its flavor again too sweet even without the Whipped Topping.

I live and work 10 miles northeast and every time I'm near here I visit for lunch. The shrimp and fish is caught locally by their own fleet. It's a small hole in the wall casual place. I love the fried shrimp platter (Camarones Fritos) with the corvina sandwich. Low prices and great service. If you want beer you have to buy it at the small market next door and bring it with you and they only take cash. It's a Miami institution. I'm not sure if they serve dinner

We came to Miami to watch our Reds play the Marlins, and decided to hit some Triple D spots. La Camaronera was our first stop and it was the best! We chose the fritters, awesome, the fish sandwich, awesome, and the shrimp empanadas. All was great and yes, we would recommend and will return. We live on west coast of Florida, about 3.5 hours from Miami and in fact will stop by this place before we set sail on our cruise. Yummy~

The pros : excellent food, fried but not greasy. Quick and efficient service. Special mention to the ceviche and fish sandwich The cons : seating area inside is quite small and gets filled quickly

We had crab and fish with rice . Staff is so welcoming and helpful. We had trileche for dessert. It was all at reasonable price.

One of the best hidden spots in Miami...eclectic and delicious! Try the sandwiches or fried fish roe.

Mostly, if not all, fried seafood. Great fried shrimp/plantain/yellow rice combo. Friendly vibe in Little Havana. I go at least twice very two weeks.

This is not a real fancy place, is not a tourist trap, but you will find that 99% of the clientele every day is local, this is a family restaurant and at the same time you can buy fish, lobster and shrimp at lower prices. But the quality and the taste of the food is ten times better than any seafood restaurant in South Beach and ten times less expensive. If you don't mind mingling with the locals, I can tell you that your visit is not going to be the last. Enjoy!

We had just flown in and were on our way to the Intercontinental and I used one of those around me apps to find a restaurant while we were driving and this one sounded good so that's where we went. There was some construction so it took a minute to get there, but it was worth it. It was great. The shrimp was fantastic. Attentive waitstaff. Cute decor. Wish I could go and have some right now!

Found this fantastic local restaurant on the New York Times restaurant list 2024. Very fresh seafood in this Brickell area spot. Service from Marcos was exemplary and personal. We had a Whole Fried Snapper and their famous Minute Fish Sandwich accompanied by black eyed pea fritters and really good black beans and rice. The Cuban coffee and key lime pie were also excellent.

Come here with some friends and I was amazed how packed was. Good sign! If is packed mean that quality is good and is affordable. Food taste so good, even fried calamari were not heavy at all. I really enjoy, deserved 5 stars.

I've been coming here since I was 9 and is the one place that I take every visitor here as they never fail me!!! Mix the habanero sauce with the white sauce and enjoy the best fried shrimp you'll ever eat - fried lobster not bad either and the seared corvina fillet with pica de gaillo is simply heavenly

Great little restaurant in Little Havana. Fried shrimp is the absolute perfection. Great service and reasonable prices too. If you add the hot sauce to the tartar sauce it makes it tastier.

The place is a great little fish sandwich shop with a fresh fish market. Fresh fish and shrimp prepared immediately, super fresh and delicious. The fried fish sandwich is surprisingly light, the batter is delicate and not greasy at all. We had the calamari appetizer, fried shrimp sandwich with fries, and fried fish platter, with tostones and rice. Excellent, clean and affordable.

No Parking available, did not accept credit cards. It seemed Ok. Clean but not cheap. Ended up not eating there, rather went across the street to El Ranchito Salvadoreno, which had a Great Daily Special for US$5 to US$6.99. Recommend it highly.

I saw a TV news story about this restaurant and how good the food is supposed to be. The commentator said, "the food was fried, but so lightly that you don't even know it". This was not true. You definitely know that it was fried, and probably not with the freshest oil. I had the red snapper and my wife had the shrimp. After taking a few bites we both asked, "what do think?" and instantly we both responded, "average...not what I expected". The food was fried a little too much. The coating was hard and oily. The plantains were very dry and not flavorful. The shrimp empananda only had one tiny shrimp and was spicy. We visit Ft Lauderdale 4 or 5 times a year and like to try new places. We were disappointed in this restaurant, especially after seeing the news story about it. There are definitely much better seafood restaurants all over south Florida. Traveling down there from Ft Lauderdale through the Miami traffic, was not worth it. I generally like to leave positive reviews, but this restaurant doesn't deserve one. The food and service were average, and the space cramped. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way (which it is) to get there. You will probably be disappointed.

I read a lot of good things about this place, and everything I heard was true. The whole yellowtail fried was amazing, you pick your own fish from the cabinet. Very fresh, crunchy on the outside but moist inside. Also the flan for dessert was very nice.

Had seen this locals spot on tv and thought I would try it if in the area. Ordered the shrimp and fish. Whole fish(yellow fin) was fried to perfection and lightly seasoned, and crispy. The shrimp, again, were fried just right and with light seasoning. All were very fresh and there were raw fish to be purchased also. We also had rice and Pico de Gallo both had a really nice taste. Everything was really good. Try the hot green sauce if you like very spicy food. The service was really good and fast. If I had tried more items I could give a better review.

A local mom and pop restaurant. Great seafood and great empanadas. Tres leches were to die for. Close to marlins park. Reasonable prices. They now take credit cards.

If you love fresh fish, this is the place for you. The breaded shrimp is outstanding and the pan con minuta sandwich is amazing! Remember to try the conch fritters and when available the fried fish roe is worth a try with some salt and lime sprinkled on top. And don’t forget to try the whole fried snapper, it’s perfectly fried for a crispy exterior and juicy meaty inside. Owners Arsenio (father) and son Dave are wonderful and the food is brought in fresh daily so unless you catch it yourself La Camaronera should be your first choice for the most delicious fresh fish in Miami.

I was in the mood for some Cuban seafood and found La Camaronera in a Google search so figured I would give it a try. You can either stand at the counter or sit at a table to be served. The ambiance is modest to say the least but clean. Service is good and pretty fast. The space is both food service and a seafood market. The menu is not extensive but has a sufficient variety. I had the Camaronera burrito which is a light burrito filled with baby shrimp, fish and some chopped veggies in a mild sauce and then cheese is melted on the top with a torch. I thought it was good but not great. Someone next to me was having the Corvino sandwich which looked good. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. It is located in a small strip center with limited parking. Cash only no credit cards. I would return to try something else but don't think it will become a favorite.

Great service and food!!! We really enjoy the especial “Pan con minuto” very típical and delicius Fish sandwich!

OMG the red snapper, corn fritters, and seafood rice was such a divine treat. Saw this place on the Diners on the Food Network and knew I had to go while in the Miami area. It didn't disappoint. Caution --- they only take cash and no credit cards. The snapper fish sandwich looked promising as well. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

Went there for lunch. Person who seated us and our waitress seemed disinterested in us. Perhaps because we weren't regulars? The food was just okay. Very small portions and the price is quite high for what you get. We went there because the reviews were so good, but quite frankly it was not as we expected based on these reviews.

So delicious! Great ambience - filled with locals and a happy vibe. We had a seafood platter and the "la minuta" sandwich, both of which were fresh and well prepared. Topped things off with a cafe con leche & a key lime pie - one of the best key lime pies I've had in almost 20 years of living in Florida.

After flying cross country we were ready for dinner. Not knowing the size of the dishes were ordered some fried shrimp, stone crab claws, french fries, fried oysters, and beer. The shrimp was so good we had to have more. It was topped off with key lime pie. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I had no problem parking in the lot and knowing they only took $$ I made sure I had cash. Definitely would go back again.

Positives - excellent quality fish, shrimp etc May not suit everyone though as it's not a posh restaurant. A rustic down to earth gritty local place that serves great fish dishes at a good price. Would I go back - yes if I was in the area

Ate here several days ago. Tried several items on the menu including Pan Con Minuta and the Fried Shrimp dinner, and another item or two. The food was not bad, but absolutely nothing special, and definitely did not warrant such a high rating on Tripadvisor, in my view. On top of the average food, our table was "tag teamed" with several waitresses, which hopefully would mean better service. One waitress was ruder than the other. So many other choices in Miami, that actually appreciate and understand good customer service. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back....

From the moment you walk in the door you’re treated well. If you know Miami that’s not always the case. I was seated promptly and was given a couple of minutes to look over the menu. I order the fried shrimp and an OG fish sandwich. Wow talk about fresh and tasty. The shrimp as well as the fish were lightly breaded and full of flavor. This place isn’t cheap but it is worth every penny. The staff is attentive but not intrusive. You can tell that they care about what they do. My server Katlin was professional and made sure I had everything I needed. Wrapped up with a delicious cafecito. Ship the hipster sandwich joints and come here. You will not be disappointed and you will have an authentic Miami experience without all of the hype.

We ordered the Maritza Sampler and some other items. The batter was light and the calamari, fish and shrimp was perfectly cooked. We have never had a fried fish that was so perfectly cooked and flaky. The sauce was amazing. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and try the fish sandwich

Had some time after a cruise and before an airport drop off, so we made the trip here to try it out. Did not disappoint! The shrimp tacos were had by three people in our group and all said they were excellent. We also had the Corvina and Pan Con Minuta sandwiches. Both absolutely fantastic. It is cash only, so prepare for that.

This legendary little market was worth the hype. Every bite of my snapper sandwich was pure heaven -- order it just as it comes with onions, ketchup and tartar sauce. We ordered a side of their yellow rice with fish and hot peppers and it was also delicious. I decided to try the India Malta soda which I didn't care for but I think it must be an acquired taste. Our waitress was lovely and directed us to the "touristy area" of little Havana which La Camaronera is not located within. Fresh fish available for purchase. 5 stars.

Such fun! Laid back, GREAT food. We had a great lunch and even ended up closing the joint! Will go back often when in Little Havana!

Driving to the area you get the feel of being someplace other than Miami. Coming through the door you see the fish market on one side and grill on the other. They seated us right away and allowed us time to figure what we wanted. We did the special which was fried fish and shrimp. It was very good and hot. I plan to return and see what other dishes they have which might be more Cuban.

How to get there from South Beach Take the C or S or 120 to the Stephen P Clark Centre. For most buses it's their last stop. Then take the 11 or the Havana circular. The 11 is easier, get off at between the 19 and 21 street. It's 20 second walk from the stop. Awesome way to start your Little Havana experience. Ordered the shrimp, calamari, lobster and the hush puppies. Everything is fried in this restaurant but the batter is light and crispy, and you can taste the generous portions of the the seafood. Even the next day left overs were as good. Friendly service and great price for the meal. This is a must to see. After eating here, walk off the amazing calories down to 8th Avenue and on 15th street and extend your Cuban experience!
Dine in open now for Miami’s
Dine in open now for Miami’s best fried fish and shrimps!!! Amazing freshness in a light thin batter. Their tostones and rice have been perfected beyond expectations. If money is not a problem go for the Hogfish fried fillets. The taste is outstanding
