This location in the heart of Chicago is a top-notch cafe that provides tremendous food- lunch and breakfast items are amazing!

Amazing place if you want authentic Mexican breakfast. Need to try the cafe de olla . Best coffee . Our waitress Marisa was wonderful to us .

Excellent pot coffee and green chilaquiles my favorites and guayava water really all this exquisite and excellent service

The best Mexican breakfast in Chicago. The restaurant specializes in chilaquiles. Be careful when ordering if you can't eat spicy food. The service Joseph gave us was excellent. I wait before I go back to enjoy one of the best breakfasts.

If you’re passing through Chicago, don’t forget to stop by some 100% Mexican chilaquiles, the best I’ve tried in my many years here in 🇺🇸

OMG this is our favorite spot in the little village area . Best Tasting Food !! Excellent Customer service serves are on point with making sure you are well taken care off . Patricia is my favorite with her warm friendly smile . I have tried many items of the menu all so delicious and freshly made . My favorite ones are the enchiladas potosinas for something sweet a cafe de hoya with the Arroz con leche crepes .

10 kind of chilaquiles and many crepes and pancakes to choose from! Cafe the olla its a must try!! The arroz con leche crepes are amazing ❤️

Recommended by our Uber driver. We were hoping for good food, our expectations were exceeded. The cafe has a great atmosphere and the staff was friendly and helpful. The menu was so intriguing, with selections ranging from egg based breakfast/brunch options, crepes, pancakes, waffles, to more traditional lunch fare. After we had ordered, I kept the menu just to look at the extensive selections in all areas. The coffee menu was also great. We tried their traditional mexican coffee (cafe de la olla, with a hint of cinnamon and brown sugar), their twist on a cappuccino called a "Rompoccino" (with Mexican eggnog), as well as a traditional cappuccino. All were great and the servings generous. It is a bit out of the way, but I will return the next time i am in Chicago.

Catedral Cafe is a fun place to visit with lots of interesting decor underscoring the name of the place. I love their breakfast panini that is very tasty (with eggs and your choice of meat) and complemented by very fresh fruit. Catedral has a variety of other paninis and sandwiches, which also come with french fries that are yummy. The place was jammed for lunch when I went to pick up a food order on a weekday. Popular place well worth visiting as well as for take out.

This was one of the best breakfast’s i’ve had ever I highly recommend to come her for breakfast my personal favorite is the lava cake.

I had an awesome experience here! The people were super friendly, the food was great, the best Mexican food in the area. I would definitely recommend to family and friends or anyone in general. It's a lovely experience, and i do want to add that the decorations are beautiful. Really makes you feel safe and comfortable as you're enjoying your meal with some nice coffee.

Wonderful experience here at La Catedral. Chilaquiles de Chipotle are the best in town. Can’t beat the Cafe de Olla either. Staff was very pleasant. Look forward to going back with friends.

Best NEW location for breakfast and lunch at corner of Washtenaw and Ogden!! Excellent quality of food and service. Decor is definitely eye-appealing. Great prices and free parking! Service is amazing.

Everyone is super nice, especially Jose! Every time me and my husband come we get the best service. They truly have the best service and food! The waiting line could be long but it’s definitely worth the wait!

My experience in la cathedral was absolutely amazing! The best food , servers and place to be. You feel the good energy around you and makes you feel right at home. I had cafe de olla and the BEST CHILAQUILES IN THE WORLD!! You definitely NEED TO TRY them! The portions , the flavors ,the presentation ,overall exquisite delicacy! La Cathedral will not disappoint 😉I would definitely recommend every person that I know & I will be back for more !🥰

This place was a "find" from a family member, who took us to try it. It is in the 26th Street area, one of the Mexican nuclei in Chicago. The building is churchlike, and the owners have taken that theme to heart... the decor is all traditional Mexican religious stuff, but is quite fun and not oppressive. The food is authentic Mexican "nice" breakfast food ... chilaquiles, enchiladas, tortas, etc. We tried the enchiladas potosinas, a couple different tortas, and the chilaquiles a la diabla. A warning for those who do not know this cuisine ... "a la diabla" means "the Devil's chilaquiles," and this place takes that seriously. It was VERY hot (i.e., spicy hot), and would be too much for many US palates. It was quite authentic, though, and very tasty. The service was excellent ... kind and attentive. Overall, this place is well worth a visit!

Traditional Mexican place with amazing chilaquiles, to die for. I also love their cafe de olla that comes already sweetened and with cinnamon. Well done!

This place has an enchantment from the start! My friends and I joined the waitlist before we left the apartment. The wait time said about 1 hr and 30 min, so it was the smartest thing to do. By the time we got there our table was going to be ready in 10 min, and there were a lot of people waiting, hence, don’t let this discourage you - this means this place is actually good. When we went inside the restaurant we were in awe by all the catholic relics, such a beautiful decorations, our table was upstairs and it’s just as beautiful as it is up stairs. We ordered the signature coffee “cafe de olla” which is already sweet and very delicious! I had the enfrijoladas estilo catedral and they were BOMB! Our server was very sweet and attentive, and I could tell all the servers were like that too. Overall we had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, we will definitely come back for more! I recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic Mexican breakfast with a great service!

OMG! I love this place! Specially the chilaquiles poblano with chicken on the side and cannot forget the café de olla. ❤️ the waiters are incredible; making you feel like home.

Food is just delicious, the environment is just great ! Service extremely excellent. My friend surprised me for my Birthday, all the waiters and waitresses came to my table to sing . It was absolutely great . I enjoyed myself to the max

Very nice people working hard to customize orders to their patrons' liking. Interesting decor. Spacious, clean bathrooms.

Restaurant has an impressive Christian decor. This establishment offers extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items. Free on street parking is available north of the venue.
