Have been to La Comida twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner. My first visit was for lunch with a friend. We were greeted as soon as we sat down and were served warm salsa and chips. Both were very good, so we were off to a good start. I wasn't especially hungry (very unusual for me) so I ordered the La Comida Chicken Chop Chop, which was a chopped salad with grilled chicken, romaine, avacado, tomatoes, cheese and bacon. I had it with a chile-lime dressing, which gave the salad a nice spicy kick. My friend ordered beef enchiladas. They looked amazing, and he said they were. Returned a couple of weeks later for dinner with my family. I had their Pica Pica margarita on the rocks. Very good, and peppery from habanero infused tequila and habanero salt on the rim. I ordered cheeses enchiladas with chile con queso. They came with rice and a choice of beans. I chose the barracho beans, which they call bean soup, and they were great. Everyone else was happy with their choices. They have an extensive menu which includes more interior Mexican food, and I look forward to trying some on my next visit. Good food, good service and a nice atmosphere!

We were looking for a place to eat lunch when we stumbled upon La Comida. I thought the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we received. The service was excellent.

I enjoyed their chicken tortilla soup and pork tamales. Service is good and place is pretty. Great location and patio for good weather times.

Nice setting. Cute patio. It was brunch time and had to ask for the brunch menu. Our table was wobbly beyond okay, and a waiter tried but didn’t succeed to fix it. So I had to get under the table and fix it myself. I ordered a chicken taco. It was literally 1/3 a chicken breast in a flour tortilla. That’s it. Beef brisket taco was good. Mexican cole slaw side dish was cabbage. No really. Just finely shredded cabbage. So, maybe it was just a bad day but everything seemed off. The nachos, pictured, were good. But, nachos really can’t be messed up.

We went early on a Saturday night and glad we did. The place fills up quickly. Started with a standard margarita on the rocks. Delicious! And potent. My spouse enjoyed her Tacos Al Carbon, a sizable portion. I ordered the Chile Relleno filled with brisket -- a super sizable portion. It was tasty but this dish isn't an authentic Tex-Mex preparation that I'm accustomed to. Service was very good and the chips and salsa starter (free) are quite good.

Tried a new place for dinner. The arrachera with onions, peppers, and mushrooms and brisket tacos were both great. The waiter was knowledgeable and gave perfect advice. They were happy to accommodate the food allergy person.

Great lunch place with co-workers. Friendly and quick service on the patio. We visit frequently in a casual environment to discuss how to approach issues at work. Prefer the Caso's Queso to start, Mexican slaw, fish tacos, elote corn on the cob, mixed fajitas. Servers are very personable and willing to customize as needed. Ocasionally, owners will drop off something new to try for the table.

First the food was awesome. I will be going back as much as I can. The two Urtecho brothers, Mario and Ivan, have a great story and I have been blessed to have known them at a previous restaurant were they worked. Their happiness and enthusiasm is contagious! In my first time visit, the food and presentation was so impressive. I can't wait to take my family and friends. I also had a great waiter named Oscar who did a great job of making suggestions for appetizers and desserts. Just an FYI, the location is not in Addison, but instead in Oak Cliff (Dallas) and the zip is 75203. Street address listed above is correct.

We stopped in for lunch to get our Mexican fix for the day. It was packed, with a 30 min wait for a table. The bar was empty, we sat down and ordered lunch. We were out the door before the others got a table!

I'm from California and I love/know Mexican food. My taco was in a hard shell from what seemed to be an El Paso box; the enchilada was coated in what looked/tasted like a variation of stadium cheese. Service was great and drinks were great though. Nice place for cocktails and chips/salsa.

Having spent more than two decades in Mexico including 4 years in Cancun I developed an addiction for the ceviche style that is served in the Yucatan Peninsula. I order the Seafood Ceviche which features a perfect combination of ingredients which include shrimp and fish (usually mahi) in the traditional recipe of the region perfected by the owners family. Everything else is very good but the Seafood Ceviche is special to me! Owners Mario and his brother keep a close eye on the operation and the service is excellent and the inside and outside seating is attractive and welcoming. A full bar offers a broad selection of spirits and mixed drinks including tequilas, margaritas and beer.Excellent value for money spent!

my daughter and I like to try new highly rated restaurants, especially Mexican so we had a lunch date at this location. I am a big fan of tortilla soup and brisket tacos which was my order. My daughter ordered shrimp tacos which she said were very good. However, my experience was the complete opposite! The tortilla soup tasted like a slightly flavored chicken soup(I know that is the base) and whatever the seasoning is I found out the hard way I am allergic to...within 3-4 spoonfuls my right jaw swelled up until I was extremely uncomfortable but that never stops me from eating! The brisket tacos were bite sized as ordered but the tacos were awful...almost like cardboard...the meat was average....3 days later still on antihistamines and anti-inflammatories and regretting our visit!!

Nice place for good Mexican food. Had margarita and enchiladas for dinner. We asked the waiter for spicy salsa with chips. It had some nice kick to it. Will definitely visit this restaurant.

I drove by this place on my way to Whole Foods and thought it might be a nice place to have lunch sometime. So, when my daughter dropped by for a visit, we decided to go there. As we drove around the shopping center, we noticed all the other restaurants we full up and hardly any parking, so I was surprised that this place was virtually empty, except for two other parties. Well, I think I know why. My dish was lukewarm and unremarkable. Not bad,but for the price, unremarkable. The chicken taco salad my daughter ordered was so-so. Neither of us were sure why the shredded chicken had an orange tint to it. This is a fairly new restaurant, so given time it might improve, then again, maybe not. Tip: Don't order the frozen Mojito, it tastes like Mr. Clean. NO, I never actually drank Mr. Clean, but if you smell it, you can tell what it would taste like!

Loved the experience the food and the ambience everything was a great memory that will keep me going back and recommending the place.

We ended up here on Fathers Day by mistake, they took us in, seated us and fed us! The Chili Rellenos were great and our server was spectacular. We will be back.

Awesome Tex Mex. Love this place. Good spot for a date night or dinner wit kids. Will definitely be back.

Wait staff very knowledgeable The food was a different than the other Tex Mex restaurants around the plano dallas addison area . Best chimichanga I've had a long time Guacamole was excellent, queso was the white cheese and we got it with the beef, guacamole and pico de gallo The creme fresh was sooo much better than sour cream... We will back

Loved our experience. The chop salad was great. The Caso Queso was awesome and the mojitos were perfection. Fun Saturday night dinner with friends!

I've been to La Comida several times with my work bunch and it has been consistently good. The place is bright and airy, has outside tables and there is never a wait at lunch. I think the food here shows more care than the typical Tex-Mex places. It seems to be very fresh with vibrant flavors. The last time I was there I had a lunch combo with a tamale on it. Usually tamales are dry with some gravy to try to resurrect any flavor or texture. The tamale here was moist and bursting with flavor. Service is usually excellent and quick at lunch. The one time it took longer the manager apologized profusely.

I am a Mexican food connoisseur and this place has topped all others. After a long drive from Atlanta to Dallas, my husband and I were ready for some great food before we settled down for the night. He wanted steak, and I wanted Mexican. We went with La Comida and we couldn't be more glad that we did. When we arrived, the parking lot was packed and they have valet as well. I was expecting a major wait time, but we were seated immediately which I loved. The salsa has a kick to it, as does the white queso (not the velveeta one, it is a bit less spicy). They were great. Our food was out in no time. The waiter was absolutely amazing. He really paid attention to detail. He was super attentive, but doesn't bother you. He watches your drink level, chips, etc, and comes over whenever he feels that he can be of assistance. My husband got their version of the chimichangas and fell in love. He hates onions and forgot to order his without them, but he tried it and said he was so glad that he got onions. They are cooked to perfection, sweet, and the most wonderful taste you could imagine. I got the chicken fajitas. Perfection is an understatement. The chicken was actually, REALLY, real chicken that was freshly cut and cooked, cut into strips (not the nasty frozen chunks that other competitors serve). The veggies were all seasoned and cooked extremely well, and the rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, and everything else was so amazing. It truly is the best that I have ever had and we travel all over and try new foods quite frequently. Great job, you will go far! The price is good as well, and you even get more food than the other mexican restaurants. I wish I lived closer. Thanks again!

In a city filled with tex-mex it is hard to be different. La Comida is very good but not different enough to stand out . Good place - I like it.

Wow! We thought we'd had the best Mexican food in Dallas but decided to give this new place a try, mostly based, as usual, on the positive write ups in TripAdvisor. That's always a good staring point. After over 30 years of dining in Dallas, we've found a rare outstanding new restaurant to go to. The food is arguably the best Tex-Mex AND authentic Mexican food we've ever had here in Dallas. I rarely have a Margarita because most places serve a bunch of ice with a little bit of liquid but I decided to try the house variety. It was really good and the portion was good. Based on other reviews, we decided to try the brisket tacos. They were delicious but try a half order. Two of split the half and that was more than enough. We then ordered the chicken fajitas. We always try these in new restaurants as it usually gives you a good idea of the rest of the available selections. The fajitas were the best we've had period! Most restaurants accompany the with a side of rice and beans that mostly go uneaten. We were pleasantly surprised how absolutely they were. The rice was exceptional and the beans were very tasty. We later learned from Mario, on of the two brothers who own this place, that the beens are maxed (read smashed) by hand leaving some of the beens whole. This was a pleasant departure from the "paste" that a lot of places serve. We will definitely return and strongly recommend you give it a try. You won't be disappointed.😃

We are from out of town and had a great Texmex experience! We had the enchiladas and fajitas(beef and Chicken) and they serve with great sauces to dip. The margaritas are made with real lime juice and are definitely strong! Oscar, our waiter took great care of us. We loved coming here and will definitely be back next time in Dallas. Thank you!

I absolutely LOVE Mexican food. I live in Boston so I was obviously super excited for Mexican food out here in Texas. The food was so bland!! And I wanted a burrito. They didn't have burritos? I wouldn't go back to this place even if I lived here.

We ate here while on a weekend in Dallas. The food was delicious and the margaritas were even better. Our waiter was polite, prompt and didn't miss a beat. Overall, this place is well worth your time and your money. Wish we lived closer.

We went to a restaurant next door to La Comida the week before and noticed La Comida. I am always in the market for a new Tex-Mex experience so the next week we checked it for dinner. I noticed they had valet parking and believed that they would be busy so I made a reservation. As it turned out, when we arrived on Saturday night we were the only people there for about 45 minutes before a few other people began to trickle in. When we left the place was still mostly empty. The point is I don't think that reservations are necessary. We started with the shrimp ceviche ($9.99). It was a generous portion of shrimp but the dish lacked flavor. Only after I gave it a couple of squirts of lime and a healthy dose of salt did the dish pick up. The wife got the chicken mole ($13.99). The mole itself was delicious but unfortunately the chicken breast was overcooked and rather dry. I ordered the camarones al ajillo ($17.99). The dish came with 6-7 shrimp that were nicely seasoned in a big bed of veggies. We also both got the elote (corn) as a side, and I also got the bean soup which was good. My margarita and the wife's Mexican martini were good. Our server Benjamin was extremely attentive and accommodating. The restaurant itself is clean and modern. The food came out quickly and was hot. Overall, everything was good but not outstanding. We did not get the "wow" factor that says we can't wait to return. So I would say the food and service are solid, but for us it was probably not worth the long drive because we have many excellent options that are located closer.

The pork torta is my absolute favorite thing!! And they will throw a fried egg on anything for you. Bar drinks are delicious as well.

This is one of my new favorite mexican places. The last time I went I had veggie quesadillas and this weekend I had the beef fajita nachos. Both are excellent. The chips/salsa and white queso are really good! And I love the "Summer Time" drink. It can get a little loud in there and the parking is a challenge at peak times, but I would try it!

I was here on business and the hotel shuttle driver recommended this place. He was spot on. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Chips and salsa delicious. I had a spinach and chicken enchiladas very good. Great Tex Mex. blackberry margarita made the meal. Nice spot.

Enjoyed this restaurant for Valentine's Day dinner. They had a Valentine special that we tried that was very good. It included two glasses of champagne. IT was a steak special with a salad, two sides and included shrimp on the steak. Very very tender and tasty. also, reservations so that we didn't have a wait on Valentine's!

Addison is known for its great restaurants but unfortunately we visited an average one while in town. This restaurant has average Mexican food, no complaints, except it was average in an area of excellence. If you want an average Mexican experience at above average Mexican prices this is your place.

My family of 4 enjoyed a lovely experience, with excellent service and good traditional Mexican eats. I was pleased with the flavors of my fish taco and one taco de carbon with chicken, which comes with two sides (I ordered Mexican rice and black beans). Service begins with lots of fresh corn tortilla crisps and spicy salsa (not too spicy, just right). I supplemented my meal with a frozen mojito cocktail, which was strong and delightful on a warm evening. I tasted a chicken quesadilla portion and found it to be loaded with fresh chicken, and wonderful when topped with guacamole and salsa. Taco de carbon with chicken was a bit on the dry side, as was the Mexican rice. Also, the kitchen (or the server) made one minor mistake on one order which was quickly rectified. Prices are reasonable and I would come back here again.

I went to dinner here on my Dallas trip and was pleasantly surprised. We arrived around 8pm and were immediately seated. The staff seemed enjoy their jobs. Our server, Ben, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Two other staff members, maybe the manager and the owner, came over to ask how our experience was going and we gave all rave reviews. The music being played ranged from upbeat to mellow. I was told all food is prepared fresh and can be modified to fit your taste. Some food highlights for me were the mini brisket tacos (excellent), empanadas, shrimp ceviche (excellent), and Mexican french fries. The guacamole isn't prepared tableside (something they should consider) and it seemed to lack flavor. I didn't have any cocktails, only two generous glasses of Riesling. I shall return.

Mexican is one of my favorite foods and I really wanted to like this restaurant. The food is what you expect of typical Tex Mex. The quesadillas were good but the downside was the waitstaff. They were very abrupt and rushing us.

I went their with my girlfriend and our 2 year old child. It was kid friendly, but we went to dinner at 5:30pm. I think in the evenings they are going for more of an adult scene, with dim lighting and fewer 2 year olds. They were very accommodating and do have a kids menu, I'm just saying. My girlfriend ordered the chicken fajitas. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the tortillas were soft. I ordered the Arrachera Steak (knowing the gf would not eat all of her fajitas). This was a tender flank steak folded over with cheese and pablanos inside. I highly recommend it. I also had a top shelf margarita to wash down the meal, and I have to say it was well worth it. If I was not with child, there were several more cocktails that I would have liked to try. The service was fantastic, the food was really good...you can't go wrong here.

The restaurant is new to the area and I was excited about going with my husband. We LOVE Mexican food and have lived in Dallas for many years. We live close by, so, I thought, oh boy, a New Mexican restaurant ( we can't have too many in Dallas!) so, we went. Great location near the highly rated Neighboorhood Services ( which is also a restaurant) and Whole Foods. The place is located on the corner and looks phenomenal from the outside. Lost its atmosphere as soon as you entered, mediocre cheap decorating, disorganized staff. The food was just okay for Texas. Tostadas on the greasy side, hot sauce too hot. I had fajitas and they were bland, lots of greasy onions but no bell peppers. Tortillas are NOT homemade, bean soup was most disappointing. Sorry Charlie! Ugh,

As a native Dallasite, Tex Mex is high priority, and we can be quick to judge what's good and what isn't. It can be hard to venture away from the tried-and-true locations, but I'm really glad we gave this a try. The atmosphere is classy but unpretentious- I would feel at home here in jeans or dressed up. I can't wait to try out the patio once the weather warms up! We enjoyed a relaxing evening of nachos and margaritas at the bar. The nachos were good, the frozen margaritas were excellent, and the spicy Pica Pica margarita was PERFECT- you could tell by the taste that the lime juice was freshly squeezed (not too sweet, not too tart), and it had the perfect amount of kick. YUM. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm super excited to have this restaurant in Dallas! We will definitely be back, and can't wait to bring our friends!

If you want tex-mex with great flavor and freshness and great service see this place. It is superior in every way to the chain texmex places. Family owned with a young vibe. The food and Margaritas will make you want to go back. Everything was yummy!

Love the flamingo theme and the Salsa was fantastic!! My house Rita was a little sweet, but the bar tender made the second round super fantastic!! I had chicken quesadillas (with the pico inside) which were great — excellent on day 2 as well. I will return and try a mixed dish next time.

Great food, good portions. Very comfortable ambience. Chips were fresh and Tex mex queso (with meat, guacamole, and pico) was a delight. Had the carne asada with rice and beans. Everything was perfect. Also, this is in Dallas, not Addison.

Typical tex mex and nothing special! The white cheese sauce was tasteless. The chips were good and service was good. With so many tex mex options... I probably won't return.

We stumbled upon La Comida a few months ago and it has been our go to for Mexican since. The food is so fresh, delicious and reasonable. The staff is very kind and the sangria is THE BEST!

Great spot for some awesome tex-mex. Food was fantastic, service very helpful and the drinks were flowing. We'll definitely head back to La Comida.

First, not sure what time happy hours are, but our first really yummy margaritas were $3.00 off ($5!) and packed plenty of punch! The flamingo margarita is nicely done, with just a tiny swirl of sangria, not enough for taste (or a reduction of margarita), but cute for a pink tinge if you mix it in. Grilled mahi was seasoned right and not too dry. Really enjoyed the beef flavors in the tacos and enchiladas. Not a fan of the chicken enchilada or the refried beans, but we'd come back. A number of tables outside to enjoy good weather. It's a busy retail center, so you may have to park a ways away.

A Monday evening; my wife and I. The décor and comfort was o.k. For drinks we ordered mojitos and for the entrada we had the ceviche. The ceviche was excellent- fresh and seasoned perfectly. The mojito was just so-so. Too much small cubed ice distorts the real flavor of the mojito (I ordered the drink on the rocks not with crushed ice). We found the enchiladas to be fresh and soft. The sauces were excellent. The server was polite and patient ( my wife has a tendency to ask dozens of questions while she is deciding upon a menu selection). I do not like mexican rice and ordered the slaw as a side item and I watched the server write it down. The plate arrived with rice and no slaw. Parking can be a nightmare so I recommend to just use the valet available in front and not waste your time driving around the parking lot looking for a spot.

The guacamole was terrific, and I really enjoyed the tacos. Tried a number of kinds but the ones that truly stood out were the short rib tacos. Worth the trip just for those!

We visit the metroplex regularly. This is one of our favorite lunch places. Always great food, service and atmosphere. Great place you can't go wrong here.

First time at La Comida. Food was very tasty, chips and salsa were warmed and very good perfect spice. My favorite part was the dessert, vainilla ice cream rolled in coconut and drizzled with chocolate syrup.

I had just got to Dallas and asked at the hotel where to eat Mexican food. They told me about La Comida, as if it was very authentic. I guess I was expecting more than what I had, I mean, it was good, food was goos, service was kind, but maybe I thought I woudl had more heat, less tex-mex.

The food wasn't weird, but it was a little different and very good. Our party of four all really enjoyed our different dishes. It was a tad loud and the door needs a shade (sun was in the face of one person in our party), but other than that the atmosphere was nice.

Food was good. Service was great. Margarita was good as well. There is a patio, but it faces the parking lot. Better at night on the patio.

Do yourself a favor and stop in to see the boys!! Ivan and Mario have created an awesome atmosphere with great food and drinks and great service!!

Sip-worthy cocktails. Sangria that is ambrosia. Very good food. Excellent service. Easy to access location. Arrived a little before five pm and no waiting to be seated.

La Comida came on the Tex Mex Scene with good food and excellent service. La Comida has become a staple in our monthly restaurant visits. You can always count on them to provide great Tex Mex food and good margaritas at very reasonable prices. So many Tex Mex places have increased their prices for mediocore food. Not La Comida, fajitas, enchiladas of all types, quesadillas, tacos, etc. All the great Tex Mex at extremely reasonable prices.

This is my husband's favorite place. Everything is so tasty and fresh, from the chips and salsa to the guacamole and enchiladas. They also have the best margaritas in DFW!

Cochinita pibil tacos were perfectly cooked and scrumptious. Great margaritas, excellent service, wonderful salsas, and great patio seating. What more could I ask for. Ahhh!!!

Our visit was to celebrate our anniversary, we only had appetizers my husband ordered guacamole and I ordered the Mexico City nachos they consist of white cheese sour cream black beans and fajita chicken they were good. We also had a couple of margaritas they were really good. FYI they are $3 on Tuesday. Also we got there 15 min before closing and feel welcome not like on other places. We really enjoy our visit

Great service, food was excellent, and frozen margaritas were amazing! We tried the strawberry and mango frozen margaritas!

La Comida offers an enjoyable menu of modern Tex-Mex. More creative than the simple chile, enchilada, tamale, and taco offerings of earlier years, La Comida presents updated versions of these plus many dishes that have become popular more recently. Enjoy flavorful fajita meat chalupas, fajitas, meat burritos, chimichangas, etc. made with a variety of meat, cheese, and vegetable fillings. The guacamole was excellent. Other house preparations are available. Portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. LC is clean and bright, but noisy. Looking around there was no attempt at sound reduction. Service is good. They also offer a full bar and Mexican style drinks. Lunch prices are about $9.00 for many specials, and you can expect to pay about $8-15 total per person for a full lunch. Much more elaborate combinations are available as entrees for about $20, but these may be more "shareable." We will definitely return.

The chips and salsa were good. The service was TERRIBLE. We waitied 35 minutes for our entrees...and they were cold. I asked for the managers as we waited and he said there was a problem in the kitchen. He did comp our meal thank God because it was AWFUL. Tico Bell would have benn better and cheaper! Still charged us $2.42 for an ice tea. Will I go back? NO.

Took the family for dinner. Really good food and service. Guacamole was very tasty. Salsa was good - a bit spicy for the kids, but we enjoyed it. Between us we had the brisket tacos, steak tacos, and a combo with one shrimp and one brisket. The shrimp was delicious, and the brisket was solid. My daughter said the steak was very good as well. Very interesting sides - not just the typical beans and rice. Several kinds of beans, couple kinds of corn, a slaw and mexican fries - all very good. Didn't love the cucumber margarita, but overall, a very good meal for pretty reasonable money.

We were only in town for 2 nights. We went into the restaurant kind of late but they told us they would serve us anyway. We ordered something easy since the kitchen was ready to close. Steak quesadilla was fantastic. We had drinks. The owner and bartender stopped by our table to chat. I felt like I was in someone's house as a guest. I will definitely visit this restaurant next time I am in town.

The chips and salsa are excellent. They are old school crispy homemade style chips and the salsa is flavorful and spicey without the burn. We had beef tacos, beef enchiladas, and chicken enchiladas which were cooked perfectly and filled with meat. The tomatillo sauce was a bit too hot for one diners taste. The sides were also very good. The Mexican slaw was nicely done with a nice light vinaigrette dressing. The standard margarita on the rocks was excellent and he crushed ice is a very nice touch. Our service was very good as well. We were met promptly at the front door and seated quickly. We did ask for the booth seat to be wiped clean but that was a minor infraction. The retro decor added and the traditional Mexican music that was playing added to an already very pleasant dining experience. This is our new go to Tex-Mex restaurant.

Sever Omar was so rude, sarcastic and snapy. We had to walk out. My feeling are genuinely hurt. "What did I say" I had a valid question. At one point he said "what, haven't you ever had nachos before?!" I'm so sad because we really liked this place:( came here last week for dinner and a new waitress gave us the best service we had to come back. My question was : does the brisket nachos come with queso or shredded cheese. I'm just still so confused.

Very Good Food, Quality! We went in afternoon , atmosphere was quiet ,clean, and friendly. Service was rite on and salsa and chips were really good ,spicy. Food was prepared and delivered looking and tasting really good ,tinder steak and chicken moist ,shrimp large and wrapped in Bacon, so tasty. Enjoyed the visit!

La Comida has the best Mexican food in Addison. Their dishes are authentic, well flavored, and deliciously prepared. Their cocktails are well made, strong (but not overpowering) and worth the price. We have been several times, and the service was fantastic. The second time we went, we had checked the closing time on google and it was listed an hour later than they actually closed. We walked in about 3 minutes before they actually closed, and when the manager heard why we had come in so late he was incredibly accommodating and kept the kitchen open to serve us (we tipped very well to thank the staff for staying late). This place is great, I really can't say enough about how fantastic this place is.

You know when do can't speak the language you shouldn't. Hahaha! I tried to say something in Spanish in a restaurant where everyone is loud and having a good time. Not the best of plans. I didn't want to be that guy that just points at the menu. So I ordered my food in my "pig" Spanish. Well; I got just what I asked for a big bowl of Cheese. Thank god the people I was out with took pity on me and shared a lot of things you can dip into a bowl of cheese. It was a great night and dinner was hot and flavorful. Thanks! everybody!!!!!!!!!!!

Went in for a late lunch on day off. Fresh food that was so good. Flamingo drink was delicious complement to our meal. Attentive and not overbearing service. Will be back!

What an experience coming here was.I have come here a couple of times because it is SO close to my apartment but every time I have come the experience is just shy of terrible. The servers always act as if they are bothered and the food is so so.Well I decided to buy a Groupon for this place and give it another try.Worst mistake of my life. When we came inside they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary and had balloons and a red carpet set up outside. They had drink specials and were walking around giving samples of alcohol. We made sure to ask our server if we could use the Groupon before ordering, he checked with his manager MARIO and he said yes.We than ordered, got our food and when paying presented the Groupon at the end the server said they could not honor it.We asked to speak with the manager and he came over. I told him we made sure to ask before we ordered and he said "Sorry we have nothing to do with Groupon, not my problem." I sat there shocked, he than proceeded to be very aggressive and said,"You came in on a day we're giving free things away what do you want!" I told him I did not anything for free and that when I originally came I had no idea that they were having specials. He kept saying,"You got something you wanna say to me! You got something you want to say to me!" I did not understand what he meant by this but he oddly became more and more aggressive and keep in mind I am holding my 4 month old daughter.I sat in shock as he kept raising his voice towards me, I became frightened and asked if there was anyone else I could speak to he said,"Nope I am it my name is MARIO if you want to write a review," and walked away. I paid for our meal and left crying, I can not understand someone who would treat a mother and daughter so disrespectfully. I have NEVER in my whole life been treated like this at a restaurant nor have I ever felt threatened by someone like I did MARIO. I will NEVER be back here ever again.I will never support a restaurant that has a man who treats women do disrespectfully.

This is a great addition to the Addison food scene. I have tried quite a few things on the menu as this has become my 'go to' location for Tex-Mex. The ribeye tacos are absolutely delicious and their enchilada's are some of the best in the city. It sounds simple, but there are a lot of bad enchilada's out there! The service is always friendly and Mario could not be a more accommodating host. The mango margarita is fun and different and their house margarita was just voted the best in the City!

About 10 of us went to La Comida after work to have a birthday dinner and drinks for a co-worker. The enthusiastic waiters were more than willing to serve special Queso or anything we requested. They have various seating areas and a good patio environment. We were most impressed by the brisket tacos, fish tacos, arrachara steak, ceviche, flautas, enchiladas, and fajitas. All were pleased by the ‘generous pours’ of margaritas and other cocktails. They only seem to serve high quality Mahi, Snapper, Salmon, and good cuts of steak. They had excellent Flan. The only downside was that parking was difficult because this vibrant area has a new luxury AMC theater 100 yards away. Fortunately, La Comida is close to work so we plan on returning frequently.

Absolutely delighted by this place! We were looking for an alternative to our usual choice for Mexican food, and though this was a bit more of a drive for us it was more than worth it. The service was absolutely wonderful, the owner stopped by multiple times to chat and make sure we were doing fine. The food was wonderful – as much as I like Mexican food, I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to spice. I really appreciated that the waiter was very clear about explaining the levels of spice for the dishes. My sister, who loves spicy food, was brought extra dips and sauces to add to her food without having to request it. The drinks were also wonderful – I’m looking forward to returning to try out their bar as well. But my favorite part of the night came when we ordered desert. Between all of us we sampled quite a few offerings and they were all delicious. So all in all I am more than pleased with this place – and I know I’m going to be back.

We stop at a Mexican restaurant in every city we visit and can honestly say this is one of the best. Fresh hot salsa and excellent chicken enchiladas!

We had stopped here for drinks back in January and finally had a chance to come back for dinner. The mixed fajitas were good, but they do not come out on a sizzling platter. But the taste was good. The salsa has a good bite and the drinks are pretty good. Overall, a good meal and an OK price.

I had never heard of this place but went to catch up with some old friends. This whole area is very nice and this restaurant is a great spot to try here. We sat on the patio right around sun set so it wasn't too hot. However, there is no shade structures besides a few umbrellas so sit inside if it is hot or very sunny. There was a dog on the patio so if you are looking for a more dog friendly place maybe try this place out. The chips were oily and didn't taste that great but the salsa and queso was good. I had the stacked chicken enchiladas with rice and Texan caviar. The enchiladas were amazing and one of my new favorites. The Texan caviar was decent but the beans were a little undercooked. Someone else had the taco salad and said it was very good as well. The service was a little off. Our waiter kept saying he was going to bring more water but never did. He also brought the wrong dressing for one of the salads and never brought the right one out. Overall this was a great new Mexican spot that I am glad I found.

There were fifteen of us for lunch and we had booked in advance. Tables were set and La Comida had ample staff for service. Nice surprise were the lunch prices. Getting a tasty lunch in the $9 range is unusual these days. But La Comida had a very nice selection. Everything was fresh and very well prepared. It's one of the better Mexican restaurants in Addison, at least in my view.

Excellent service at this Mexican restaurant! Great patio spot for lunch. The margarita's are great and the house made Sangria is one not to miss! The lunch specials are delicious and very affordable. My favorite are the cheese enchiladas, great crema sauce with lots of gooey cheese inside and on top. Favorite lunch spot with the locals for a reason!

La Comida is so so. The Chorizo chicken and the Casa Blanca chicken were very nice but just having a good main is not enough. The white queso is just that, melted white cheese. There were no spices in it. It was dull and plain until we added some salsa. The sides were not great either. The refried beans were dull and bland, the slaw was so bitter, and the elotes were so boring. The elotes were just a cup of corn with some crema and cheese on top. They did not contain any hot sauce. I am not sure why they are afraid of heat or spice. Maybe it is because of the typical customers they have. Overall, the place is just ok.

A pleasant lunch stop for excellent Tex-Mex food. My lunch was great and from the looks of plates passing by, so were others. Very clean, very good service, and excellent food.

I visited La Comida on a Saturday evening around 8:30 with a cousin. La Comida is in a shopping area with many restaurants and shops, and the parking was almost completely full in the area. Once we got into the restaurant, we were quickly seated at one of the last few available tables, and a waitress quickly came for our drink order – beer for me and a cocktail for my cousin. A man brought chips and salsa, and I was glad we each got a dish of salsa. The salsa was tangy and the consistency just right for my taste – not too chunky and not too watery. I ended up getting a second dish of salsa as we waited and without us having to ask, another man brought a second basket of chips. I ordered the broiled shrimp in garlic butter sauce, surrounding a cone of rice and accompanied by vegetables. I got a side of charro beans, too. My cousin got a combination plate, and the food soon came out. The shrimp in my dish were red (see picture), which I didn’t expect, but they were delicious. Cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, and zucchini were also in the dish, and the charro beans I got on the side were also very good (they include pieces of bacon that add flavor). My cousin’s combination plate (see picture) also looked good and she said it was also delicious. As we talked we noticed the restaurant has a flamingo theme – there are two life-size flamingo statues just inside the entrance, some flamingo string lights along an interior divider (see picture), and pictures on the wall, too – the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. I’d love to visit again on my next trip to Dallas to try other items on La Comida’s menu!

Food was very good. I am picky about my texmex and really likes liked this place. The service was great. I had a Blackberry margarita that was really awesome. My wife had fajitas that she said were great. I would highly recommend.

We love this restaurant ! The food is outstanding as was the service!! Staff was very friendly and gracious with our large family on a busy Friday night!

Heard about the restaurant from my friend, they raved about how great it was so we decided to try it . The owners came and greeted us , they were both were nice . The food as close to authentic Mexican food as we've ever had . You def have to try their signature drink - Flamingo and I really enjoy Mojito. We will be back for sure :)

My brother was in Dallas on business and we decided to meet for dinner half way between Dallas and Frisco. I'm new to the area, so chose La Comida strictly on location and the reviews on TripAdvisor. We both had a little trouble finding the restaurant, even with GPS, but once we were there, the whole experience was great. Our server was excellent and even let my brother borrow his phone charger during the meal. I had the street taco plate with two sides. My sides were Mexican coleslaw and Mexican caviar. All of it was beautifully presented and tasted great. My brother had the tamales, he said they were excellent. I highly recommend La Comida.

We really enjoy La Comida in Addison. The margaritas are delicious, the service was friendly and exceptional. The food was very good in fact better than the three mexican restaurants nearby and we have eaten at all of them as well prior to choosing our favorite La Comida. The choice of vegetable sides was more than the other restaurants who only offer rice and beans. We got the guacamole and it was delicious as well.

Great food -innovative menu. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Drinks are cool too. Not your average North Dallas Tex Mex.

Mario (the owner) has a great staff and the food quality was exceptional. Dining room is open and bright with a cafe feel. A place I would go often and parking is easy. Good for friends or families.

Food remarkable, with a number of new ways to present what could have been plain old Mexican Food. A little loud inside, but otherwise a great place to go and share a meal with friends.

Went recently for a business lunch. It was only half full. The servers were quite good, attentive but not disruptive. The food was ok, not great. I would pick other restaurants for Tex Mex.
Loved this place!
La Comida was an enjoyable environment, service was good and food delicious. We enjoyed the guacamole with our chips/salsa. The taco salad with chicken was my choice, and the chicken was "chunkier" than I expected but still very good. My husband had the steak fajitas and enjoyed them immensely.
