Everyone at our table was very happy with their meals! The waitress we had did not speak English very well but she was very sweet and we got everything figured out.

Excellent basic Mexican fare. Great value, food quality. Cash only but ATMs abound on diamond St near BART station. Friendly efficient service. Eat in or take out.

Amazing burritos and quesadillas at this taqueria in Glen Park. Always a line but it moves fast. Might be the best in SF despite the huge number of choices.

Perhaps spoiled by the Taqueria on Mission street, my super taco tasted bland. The guacamole that has, what?, mayonnaise in it?, was dreadful. Just a bunch of rice and beans and a big hunk of meat.

This place was absolutely amazing. Super casual and low key but excellent food. I ordered a chicken mole burrito and my husband ordered an especial burrito with the chicken salsa roja. I was even more overjoyed to see they had horchata so I added that to my order as well. Everything was fresh tasting and delicious and we left very happy and very full.

Great food, super fast and friendly service! We ordered a combination platter with a burrito and everything tasted great fresh and left us wanting to come back. There was plenty of food left over so we had to take it back with us. It's no wonder this place is so busy all the time, because the locals know it's that good!

good place for not being in the mission. get the steak & shrimp

SFPD said get off Glen Park BART stop for good eats. We did & found LaCorneta 1/2 block from from Glen Park BART. I had beans & rice w/cheese quesadilla and guacamole of course. It was delicious and priced very reasonable. Glad we stopped.

I've been to many taquerias in San Francisco and elsewhere and while there are many similarities amongst them, there's something better about La Corneta and I always think that when I eat anywhere else, even when I order the same thing (veg burrito with whole wheat tortilla, whole beans, rice, green salsa, sometimes avocado). La Corneta is my favorite taqueria!

i LOVE their super steak & prawn quesadilla!! Mmmmmm :)

Walked in thinking it was a taco shop to my surprise they have typical Mexican dishes ready to go. Food was very tasty and exquisite!! You will not be disappointed!!

I have going there for over a decade, since they opened, one of the best Burritos in town, I have been eating Burritos for the better part of a half century! Their Burritos have the right amount of product, and not to mushy, good mix of flavors. The meats are not dry and tasteless (over Cooked). My go to place for Burritos!

This is the original La Corneta (the other one is in the Mission District), very near the Glen Park BART station. Everything is fresh, as you see the chefs cooking and then chopping the grilled meat, fish, and shrimp just behind the servers who put your order together. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chile relleno, fajitas, and just about any meat or seafood you can think of, as well as tofu... Be sure to try the salsa verde (green sauce) which is a little spicy, a little sweet, and delicious beyond belief. It goes well on beef, chicken, pork, cheese, a spoon, whatever. And the portions are very generous. If you order a burrito, it is BIG. So an excellent value, short of going to Mexico and finding a great taqueria down there. They usually have Coke in bottles that is made in Mexico, in case you want to taste the different mix they use down there. And Coke from a bottle always seems to taste better anyway.

Authentic taqueria. Enormous selection and super reasonable prices. Absolutely delicious food! Good for kids and families!

We eat here often - one of our favorites! We eat here at least every other week. Good value and great food!

We ordered a few things off the Menu but my favorite was the steak Burrito, rich in flavor and decent portion. I was able to taste my Husbands Shrimp and steak Quesadilla which was delicious. It is Cash only , but there is a BOA and a Wells Fargo on the same street.

We loved the excellent authentic burritos you can get here. Different sizes with a variety of meat choices and other fillings. Very cheap but extremely delicious. Will be going back soon.

But this last trip, I felt that the food was sort of tasteless. They had some sort of watered down guacamole. Mayonnaise in it? Lots of beans and rice and the meat was sort of tough

This was a great find. We'd crossed the city on foot to see Glen Canyon Park, and we were starving! Happened upon La Corneta, and were very happy. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was very inexpensive for large portions and had great flavour. The choices seemed overwhelming but the counter staff were very patient with me as I dithered about what to get! You order cafeteria style at a long counter, pay and get your food at the cash. I envy the folk who live in the neighbourhood and get to use this as a local.

I haven't written a review for La Corneta in a few years and my very positive assessment still stands! I typically get their veg rice and beans burrito on a whole wheat tortilla with black and/or pinto beans, avocado, and salsa verde (instead of the salsa fresca, of which they have spicy and mild). Delicious, super stuffed, and very filling. La Corneta is a cut above most other taquerias.

I stopped by for a cold drink while in the neighborhood but the food looked so good we had an early lunch. The quality of the food was very good and portions were huge. The servers were very friendly and helpful. I love Mexican food, it's our Southern California cuisine of choice. I thought La Corneta was on par with other great Mexican restaurants in San Diego.

Good burritos, good tacos, but nothing spectacular. Their chiles rellenos are pretty tasty. I say, for a taquería it's pretty clean.

juiciest burritos EVER.

Fresh Burritos!!! Tacos are equally as good.

Busy cafe with an almost bewildering selection of mexican food. Great veggie options, fresh and delicious. Don't be put off by queues - they move fast. Cheap and cheerful setting - excellent value for money. Best Mexican I had whilst in SF.

It's perfectly located, close to the Bart station. Great to grab any number of wonderfull Mexican food options to take home!! You will not be dissapointed with any choise you make! Everything is delicious! There is also limited seating if you want to enjoy your meal there. We have recently moved away and really miss this restaurant!!

Great menu items, well prepared, and available for dining in; or, take out... This place, near the Glen Park BART station, has had lines of people, out the door, since they opened several years ago... Server staff have great attitudes, and smiles on their faces... In addition to the food being delicious, their prices also make virtually every menu item a great value...

This taqueria seems to be always be busy and with good reason. The tacos are excellent, and served with a good amount of free chips and salsa. They have outdoor seating in street cabanas.

Small diner with a very packed out menu. All food choices, great veggie, vegan choices. I enjoyed the Chile rellano burrito, others had full meals. There for lunch, not as crowded ..a very popular place in the Glen Park area.

My sister lives nearby and this is where we all eat when we visit. Great burritos. Always a line because it is so good.

This is right around the corner from my work. I love that they have that shrimp and fish for their burritos, tacos, and other things. My son and I came here on a Saturday night and had very good baby shrimp burritos.fresh vegetables, but I always find the black beans to be slightly undercooked. The restaurant is nothing special to look at; a little grungy and The servers are not spectacularly nice, and that's why I didn't give it the last star. Make sure to bring cash because they do not except cards

The line can be long, but once you begin your order, it comes out quick. The food is absolutely delicious and at a very reasonable price. I go there at least once every few weeks.

Just get that burrito and you won't be disappointed!! It's so delicious, I go there every time I'm in the city!

Steak and Prawn anything and a beer from Glen Park station next door. Perfection.

Our friends live in SF and during one of our stays there, we ask for a place to get Mexican food that is good, fast and relatively inexpensive. Lar Corneta fit the bill nicely. The seafood burritos and tacos (fish as well as shrimp) was tender and not overcooked. Very difficult to achieve in this type of cafeteria style restaurant. In any case, we tried their various seafood dishes (came twice already), tongue tacos, carnitas & veggie sides. All were very good! If you are in the area and want Mexican food, you need to try out this place. La Corneta gets busy at lunch and dinner time so plan accordingly (a little earlier or later might work best if you are in a hurry).

I've been to more than my fair share of taquerias, in and out of SF, and this one really does it for me. This one is near Glen Park BART and has a 96 health score. Just last night, I got their veg rice and beans burrito ($4) on a whole wheat tortilla with both black and pinto beans, avocado (50 cents or $1 more, can't remember), salsa verde (instead of the salsa fresca, of which they have spicy and mild), and their special and spicy pickled red onions. Delicious, super stuffed, and very filling. We also had their yummy cantaloupe agua fresca, which tasted fruity and fresh, not too watered down like some other places. They also had watermelon and orchata. I also really likes their chips and salsa. The service is always friendly and efficient. That's why they typically have a (fast moving) line and why it's my go-to place for burritos.

We found this taqueria in the neighborhood we were staying. There was a quick moving line before we arrived and the entire time while we ate. Lots of choices of types of meat for your Mexican food. My husband and I both had the chicken mole, he with a quesadilla, I had a tostada. My daughter has the chicken and my son the steak. Amazingly delicious and simple, and very filling. The fresh salsa is a must and the salsa verde on the table makes we wish we lived closer. They only take cash, but there are 2 bank ATM machines close by, so grab your cash and get in line. You will not be disappointed!

We ate at La Corneta twice this past weekend, we liked it so much. At first glance, it doesn't look like much; you go down a cafeteria-style line, telling the staff what you want in your taco/burrito, and they make it up for you. However, this was a definite cut above such restaurants that we have experienced. All of the ingredients, from the tortillas to the meat fillings, to the cheese and the salsa, all felt extremely fresh and well-prepared. One day, I had beef special tacos, the next day I had a very tasty steak burrito, with all the fixings. Meals come with a complimentary order of chips that taste freshly-made. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating, even in the middle of what appeared to be their lunch rush, and the prices seemed more than fair, particularly for San Francisco.

The place is always pack. There’s always line but it moves pretty quickly. They only take cash so be sure to have it handy or there is a BOA ATM machine next door. Gotta order right or it’s a hit or miss. Burritos are flawless at any given day, but be a little adventurous and ask for any combinations. Reasonable and pretty good! Go for combo #6 with grilled mushrooms and prawns with a side of chicken quesadilla for $16. Enough for two! Yum (see my pix!).

Visited this place after searching for "best burrito in San Fran" and La Corneta was very positively reviewed. The place was very tiny and you can miss it if you don't look carefully enough. It is setup like a subway where you chose what you want and don't want in your burrito. I ordered the Super Prawn which was tremendous. It was very limited seating so we took it back to our rental property to eat. Help up well, food was great, we all loved it. It is not often that you can get truly authentic Mexican food where I'm from in Upstate NY, this was tremendous though. Very filling and they don't short you on the contents of the burrito. Check it out...

Where else can you go and get incredibly fresh, made before your eyes, delicious food and be stuffed for $5?!?!? I love the veggie burrito...my favorite is the mushroom quesidilla. The food is fresh, delicious and you get exactly what you want! Walk by the serving area, chat with the nice server and they dish up exactly what you ask for. A quick bite or a more leisurely meal...either works. Always packed but the line moves fast. Great spot!

While visiting family in the area, we were brought here for delicious authentic San Francisco burritos. I'm not a big Mexican food fan, but the food here was great! It's sort of like Mexican Subway and you pick what you want in yours. I got carnitas. Get the smaller baby burrito or stare the regular size. These things are huge. Cash only, so bring some!

Been going here for almost 20 years and each time I go there is always a line. I have to admit this is one of my usual hangouts. I come here at least once a month. The super nachos for about $8 are my favorite. Sometimes I will order a burrito, carnitas, steak, or fish (salmon) is also great. They have one of the better agua frescas also. My favorite is the mango - taste like they just squeezed the juice that morning. I always find parking within a block or two and I always find a line. The place always looks packed and whenever I want to eat in I always managed to do so as the diners seem to rotate fairly quickly.

Great low key atmosphere. Delicious authentic mexican food served at reasonable prices. The free tortilla chips and salsa is a nice touch.

Be warned, cash only! But there's a BOFA and Wells Fargo in close proximity. The food is fresh, tasty and inexpensive. Service is speedy, so you'll be out the door in no time. My neighborhood favorite.

I love this taqueria! I've been going here for over 10 years and I am grateful that it is in walking distance. They have a couple of delicious salads, but I wish they had a taco salad or a tostada salad without the tostada.

Call ahead for take-out to avoid the lines. Favorite menu items: steak & prawn quesadilla, steak tostada.

One of the best mexican food spots on Mission street. Welcoming and fast service. Reasonable prices. Perfect for lunch!

Out of the Mission District? LA Cornett offers fresh burritos and tasty plates for lunch and dinner. Easy access from the Glen Park BART Station, two blocks away! This restaurant is so popular, they expanded twice their size.

There are probably hundreds of taquerias in San Francisco. And I have tried a whole lot of them. Without a doubt, there are many wonderful ones, especially on in the Mission, and particularly along Valencia Street. Taking everything into account, however, I have come to the conclusion that this little out-of-the-way place is my favorite; it's even better than its larger sister taqueria on Mission Street. This was the original La Corneta, and it's still the best. Why do I rate it so highly compared to all the other wonderful ones in SF? Primarily, because of the quality of the meat. I have never, ever found pollo asada (grilled chopped chicken) as good as what they have here. The same goes for the carnitas (pulled pork). And even more so for the chile verde (pork in green sauce): its divine. But all the selections (and there are many) are fantastic –– did I mention the fresh grilled-to-order salmon and/or prawns? Everything is prepared right in front of you in SF taqueria fashion. The condiments are quite good, even if some other places may have a few more available in self-service locations away from the gill line. That's the only flaw in this place; you have to ask for all the extra condiments you want, whereas in other places you may be able to get them for yourself after picking up you order. But it's a very, very small price to pay for the stellar quality of the ingredients. Love this place!

This is a neighborhood taqueria in the Glen Park District. It is extremely popular with locals and the lines to order can be very long. They offer a big selection of burritos and other Mexican dishes made to order, including combos and platters. Everything is made to order, some of the dishes are cooked to order. The quantity of food is large and the quality is delicious. For smaller appetities, order the "baby" burritto. Prices are reasonable and service is generally friendly, although the workers can seem a little bored at times with the unending repetition of filling orders. Seating is available although you may have people in line standing by your table as you eat. Overall, it is worth a trip to the Glen Park "Village" to eat here.

I love mexican food my cousin took me here ordered the super nachos amazing food very cheap freshly made amazing

Great value for money, great tex mex. Love that you can choose your tortilla and toppings. Great taste. Huge portions.

This place serves some great Mexican food which is why it is so popular and gets busy at peak times. Lots of takeout but equally fine to eat in.

After trying many taquerias in SF, this was by far my favorite. LOVE the Shrimp tacos! And they have awesome guacamole!

The line was out the door but moved very fast. Everything we had was really good. The favors were well blended. Thier salsas were nice and authentic. We will go back again when we're in the area.

That's all there is to say: Chile Relleno Burrito! It was AMAZING! This is located right off the Glen Park BART station and has delicious food. I stopped there a couple times for food on my way in and out of the city. Enjoy!

We ate a wonderful late lunch here. Cheap, fresh and delicious. Considering how busy the place is, the service was surprisingly friendly. We had the prawn burrito and prawn quesadilla- the deluxe version (called something like "super prawn" - can't remember exactly). With a bottle of water it came to $21 total. They also give a free basket of homemade tortilla chips and salsa. We ate in, but it would be easy to get the food to go. Lots of local were eating here. A good place.

Neighborhood stand by

The restaurant is as basic as they come. Big food prep area with ladies who take your order from a large menu on the wall and get it ready while you're in line to pay. Don't expect atmosphere; do expect large portions, expertly prepared. You'll leave feeling full and happy. One bloc from Glen Park BART.
Consistent quality...
This taqueria stands out with high quality and consistently good tasting food. Long lines through the dinner hours are a testament to the staying power of this local favorite.
