We had a wonderful evening! Lovely food, great place and excellent service. Our waiter Nico made our night, fantastic.

The four of us had a delicious lunch in this beautiful restaurant . The holiday decorations made the room even more cozy and welcoming. Iâm sure the lights are festive at night. The beet salad appetizer had a little phyllo package of ricotta and pear inside. Yummy. Everyone enjoyed the entrĂ©esâŠ.sea bass bouillabaisse, mussels, chicken paillard, and eggplant. We were stuffed and not inclined to return to the office. Ezra did a great job as our server. Thank you LGB. We will return soon.

Just had the most incredible dining experience at La Grande Boucherie Chicago! Every dish blew us away, but the sea bass and duck were absolutely out of this worldâperfection on a plate! The cocktails were equally amazing, and we were thrilled to get 50% off on wine (seriously, what a deal!). To top it off, we got to witness the debut of their new chef, Michael Taus, whoâs reimagined the entire menu. And let me tell you, the service was top-notchâwe felt so taken care of. Canât wait to come back for more!

I visit La Grande Boucherie frequently and itâs consistently great service. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and the service is efficient. I donât drink alcohol but they have a few great mocktails on the menu or theyâll throw something together off the cuff. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but my repeat orders are the filet mignon au poivre, the branzino, and the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e. And always start with the fresh warm baguette with whipped butter and flaky salt. The bar can get quite busy especially on weekend evenings so just be prepared if you're planning to go without a reservation. The bar manager, Matt, takes great care of guests and makes sure they have the best dining experience possible.

At La Grande Boucherie in Chicago, the sophisticated atmosphere and impeccable service impress at once. However, the long-awaited spaghetti crab ended up not delivering the promised taste, with a pasta just ok. On the other hand, the NY Strip was juicy and at the right point, the classic onion soup was very well executed and the profiteroles closed the meal with excellence. An elegant experience with highs and lows in taste.

Dined here recently while visiting friends in Chicago. We had a wonderful experience! We started with a cocktail at the bar and then were seated promptly after. The bartender whose name is Z (love that) made us beautiful cocktails and was patient with us and made great recommendations! Then Kami took amazing care of us at the table and was very knowledgeable. Our food was so delicious and we loved the setting, it was a perfect place to catch up with friends and have a classy night out! The manager Matt came over at some point to check on us and we raved to him about everything. Will definitely be back and would recommend.

Great restaurant and service by Bryan and the Chef. The branzino was amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and sophisticated.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here in July. It was a great experience. Our server, Andres, offered us complimentary glasses of champagne after we were seated outside on this summer evening. We enjoyed a delicious fromage board for an appetizer. It had a Brie, a very well balanced bleu cheese, a Fromage dâaffinois, and a fourth semi soft cheese we couldnât identify, along with some candied dried fruits and some spiced walnuts and toasts. Perfectly sized for two. I had a delicious Filet Mignon au poivre done medium rare and my wife had crab spaghetti that is relatively new to the menu but highly recommended by the server as being noticed by many food critics. Both plates were delicious and well-portioned. I really liked the peppercorn sauce and how well it complimented the steak and the mashed potatoes. The highlight of the night was the Mousse. The description said that it was recommended for 2-3 people, and I would agree that it serves 2 at minimum! It was, in a word, AMAZING! Delectable! Smooth! Rich! To Die For! Worth every penny. The hot chocolate sauce to pour over and melt the white chocolate disc was incredible, and the raspberry sauce was just perfect on top. We couldnât finish all of it, but we so wanted to. It was such a perfect end to the night! I would recommend this restaurant for anyone celebrating, and I would recommend stopping for mousse and espresso after a dinner out a date. I will be back.

I loved the experience, food was amazing and weâve enjoyed the beautiful ambience. I would leave 10 stars if i could! Canât wait to go back!

Great experience, place to visit in Chicago without a doubt. We were lucky that it was very quiet and we were able to stand in line again to take more pictures in the glass boxes.

The restaurant is beautiful and our evening started out great. Edgar was welcoming and recommended a nice cocktail. After finishing our drinks a girl informed us she had replaced Edgar. At that exact moment we felt like we had rang the doorbell to Coach Sabenâs vacation rental. We were on her time, there was no fun, and our question about the Roseâ wines on the menu were explained one was dry and the other wasnât. I had escargot, my husband had foie gras tourchon which were nothing special and arrived 1 minute and 47 seconds after we ordered. We told her we would like to take our time and she said, âso youâre upset the food came out quickly?!?!?â. We ordered the duck and the breast meat was delicious along with the sauce but the leg was dry. We ordered dessert but frankly I donât remember what it was. So no wow factor there either. The reviews for this restaurant made me very excited to try it and I really wanted to like it. If you go, ask for Edgar. Heâs a peach.

Very nice evening. The bar & happy hour was a 5 and had a wonderful vibe. The dinner was a 4. Service was above average and we really enjoyed being out on the patio. Our meals were fine but not exceptional.

Had the pleasure of dining at Boucherie the other night and loved my experience. The space is beautiful, the staff are great and I had a wonderful time during happy hour. The bar was packed which created a great vibe. I enjoyed one of their new cocktails the Hola Paris. Loved it. Very excited to return.

Food was excellent and service was perfect with Nico. The baguette was so fresh, salad fabulous and chicken paillard was delicious.

La Grande Boucherie is a cool take on a French Steak house featuring many classic french dishes. I would recommend the Carpaccio stater for sure! Our server Nico is one of the best servers Iâve had in a while, personable and knowledgeable as well. The ambiance makes for a perfect dinner spot whether youâre on a date or grabbing a bite with a group of friends/ coworkers.

Nice place nice atmosphere and a good choice and food. It quite busy but the service was very sharp even if the wine list was not fully clear but wine manager made the right things to excuse. The choice is quite large. The price was not cheap but high quality. Noisy but quite usual in USA restaurant

My family loves French food and has traveled to France frequently for business and pleasure. In every city I visit I book a French restaurant. This French restaurant was a disappointment. It may have been an off day - but the soups were below average, and the rest of the meal was average. I will not go back when in Chicago again.

Marco was fantastic! Great service and food! Love the ambiance! Will be back for sure! Steak was great ! I love it! Thank you!

The layout and dĂ©cor of this restaurant are nothing short of spectacular. One can easily imagine stepping into a Paris brasserie, minus the French staff. Alas, the food was dismayingly below par. My wife's bĆuf bourguignon, a dish which is supposed to be a stew, had perfectly cooked meat, but this was not infused with the flavors of wine, cognac, garlic and lardons. Some of these ingredients were present in the dish, but not in the meat, and there was barely any sauce. My duck was perfectly cooked and very tasty, but the wine that we ordered, a burgundy pinot noir that sadly replaced a Mercurey, which they had run out of, was lacklustre. In all, a disappointing meal, especially for the prices that they charge. I was expecting to be wowed and was left wondering why we were paying over $200 for a meal. That said, we will be back for drinks at the bar and the general atmosphere, which we loved.

One of the best dinner experiences Iâve ever had! La Grande Boucherie is a gem in Chicago that offers a dining experience like no other! Their mocktails are hands down the best Iâve ever hadâbeautifully crafted, flavorful, and refreshing. The Wagyu Carpaccio is a standout, with its melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich, delicate flavor. If you're a steak lover, the Steak and Frites is a must-try. Perfectly cooked and paired with crispy, golden fries, itâs the ultimate comfort dish. And donât even get me started on the dessertsâtheyâre all heavenly, each one a perfect sweet ending to the meal. The ambiance is equally enchanting, especially during the holiday season. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that makes your meal feel extra special. La Grande Boucherie is a must-visit for anyone in Chicago looking for exceptional food, drinks, and an unforgettable dining atmosphere!

Came recently and had great experience! Our server Kami was great and Matt (manager) was so welcoming! Amazing atmosphere with incredible service and excellent cocktails and food.

Weâve been on a honeymoon with my husband and have dined here. It was magical! The service was fantastic, delicious food, and their decor is out of this world! I am definitely recommending this place to everyone! đ

Came here with friends on a busy Saturday night. We had a wonderful table upstairs and a great server Cammie. Food was top tier. We had 2 filets( au poivre and bechemel) both were cooked to a perfect medium. We had two bottles of wine. They had 50% off bottles of wine. For our sides, we had the hericot vert, macaroni and cheese all awesome! Also escargot and steak tartare as apps! Highly recommend! Canât wait to return!

Great Service! Specials are very fairly priced and their staff is very knowledgeable in the food/wine they serve. Would recommend to others in the future!

Such a beautiful restaurant to have lunch, brunch or dinner at. Love their menu and the atmosphere here. They are currently having a 50% off most bottles which is a stealâŠdonât forget to check this place out ASAP

Stopped in here for a quick bite and will definitely be back. The manager Matt was very accommodating, and the bar was beautiful. Great service from Marco and Z and fantastic drinks.

The atmosphere was amazing, the food was top notch and staff were very friendly and professional. Such a perfect spot to dine in.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere and food. Living in Chicago, itâs so wonderful having a local place. Whatâs best of all are the bar staff. Marco in particular is absolutely outstanding. Heâs the best. Everyone is friendly, service is customer oriented and makes all welcome. Highly recommend.

Me and my fiance dined here; It was the best experience I ever had đ€© It is a beautiful restaurant, great food and the best service! Definately coming back!

Marco is the best! We had a great time getting drinks here. The ambiance is great and so is the service! Marco, Marco, Marco!

Food was great and Building was nice. Andres is the best server we have had here. Food and wine selection is a significant and a great variety.

It's like stepping into France the minute you step in! Followed by a delicious French inspired cuisine down to the dessert, everything is delicious. They also have different menus depending on what time you go, so there is always a slight change which is great for different options of food. The last time I visited was for dinner and this time for lunch, both great experiences would definitely be going back!

Whenever Iâm in the mood for good food with a parisian atmosphere, this place comes to mind. The staff was so accommodating and helpful when it came to ordering. It was hard not ordering everything on the menu, let me tell ya! The beet salad and pappardelle was absolutely amazing! 10/10 recommend

The food and service is amazing. I would love to come back! I got the steak and my bf got the salmon. Perfect for a special occasion or a lunch with friends

Great ambiance! Food was great & our server Cristina made sure we had a great experience. Will for sure be coming back again(:

Excellent service and recommendations from my server Marco tonight! Great first time experience and would come again.

We came here for a late lunch/ early dinner to try out the new additions to the menu -- new cocktails and new desserts. Every time we come here, we love to get the steak tartare and the wagyu carpaccio-- I would recommend these ! The wagyu is severed on a salt block, which gives it a nice taste. We love the Filet Mignon «Au Poivre» and the Prime Steak and Frites. Always cooked to perfection! As for the new items -- For dessert we tried the Tarte Chocolat et Caramel and the La Tarte au Citron. Both of these felt light and not overly decadent. It was a sweet way to end our meal. I particularly liked the La Tarte au Citron, as it was super light and delicate. For the drink we got to try Dans Le Bleu, Hola Paris , Papillon and Champs De Mars. Loved all of these! Sweet and light for summer! The Dans Le Bleu was my favorite!! If you love blueberry, I recommend this one. I would love to go back and order these again during their happy hour in the future. Every time we come here, we are always treated very well by the staff. The restaurant is beautiful and has a beautiful patio for summer time. Walking inside you are immediately transported to Paris. This place is perfect for happy hour, a romantic date night, getting together with friends!

Marco was the best bartender. So kind and very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend! The cheese plate was delicious

The food here was spectacular! The restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent. My husband and I enjoyed lunch that included Escargot as an appetizer and Bolognese as a main course. We highly recommend this restaurant

I had an incredible dining experience at La Grande Boucherie! The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, making it perfect for both special occasions and casual outings. The menu features a fantastic selection of French classics, and everything we tried was beautifully presented and flavorful. The steak was cooked to perfection and the accompanying sauces elevated the dish even further. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. La Grande Boucherie is a must-visit for anyone in Chicago looking for a memorable meal. I canât wait to return!

We came into town with a group of friends and were recommended La Grande. It had a great ambiance and we had Damitry as a bartender and he made some delicious cocktails for us. I canât wait to come back here

My boyfriend and I had dinner at La Grande Boucherie on Saturday night and it was a very special experience! We were seated right away for our 6:30 reservation, the hostess was very sweet. Started with beautiful crusty bread served with soft butter and sea salt, then the lobster bisque and a classic Nicosie salad. The bisque was elegant, creamy and just delicious. The tuna on the Nicoise was seared perfectly, and the vinaigrette was simple, just right. For dinner we had the Branzino, which was done to perfection, moist, flavorful, served with roasted potatoes and peppers, and the Bouillabaisse, a mix of shrimp, mussels and seabass done with an amazing saffron/clam broth with fennel. Both were exceptional. We were very happy. Our server, Philippe, an actual Frenchman, was one of the best servers I've had in a very long time. Very knowledgeable, very personable, he made the experience even better than expected. Plus a great vibe, good energy, beautiful dining room and it's street views- we'll definitely be back. Thank you to the entire team. Bravo!

Chicago has many great restaurants, so you can always go right with any place you might discover. One thing that should be noted, though, is service. La Grande Boucherie was my first stop in Chicago when I was in town last October. Marko was my bartender and was impeccable in his craft. He was very knowledgeable about the food, drinks, and city. Great guy with fantastic service. Whether it was getting a quick bite or coming in to have a couple of drinks before hitting the town, this place was one of my favorites due to his service.

The AGM Matt was very accommodating, and the bar is beautiful with great service from Marco and Z. The drinks were delicious.

Food was spectacular. We had some aged ribeye and the pork chop. The meat tasted incredible and the pork chop was probably one of the best pork chops my wife had ever had. Signature cocktails were good as well as dessert. I would recommend for anyone looking for a good date night in the city. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the architecture creates a nice experience.

La Grande Boucherie is the kind of place that makes you feel like youâve stepped off a street in Chicago and straight into Paris. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, elegant, and just the right amount of fancy without feeling stuffy. The space is stunningâhigh ceilings, beautiful lighting, and an atmosphere that feels both lively and cozy. Now, letâs talk about the food. If youâre a steak lover, this is your spot. The cuts are perfectly cooked and full of flavorâIâm still thinking about the ribeye I had. But even if youâre not all about steak, thereâs something for everyone. The seafood is fresh, the French classics like escargot are spot on, and even the sides feel like theyâve been given extra love. Everything is beautifully plated, but itâs not just about looksâit tastes as good as it looks. What really sets the experience apart, though, is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable. They make great recommendations and genuinely seem to enjoy making sure you have a great time. Whether youâre celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself to a fantastic meal, La Grande Boucherie is worth every penny. Itâs the kind of place youâll want to come back toâand I know I will.

We had a business trip and we saw this restaurant. Everything was perfect, food, ambiance, service, and they have Christmas decorations up! đ

The restaurant it's incredible! The boeuf burginon and the soup Ă l'oignon......dĂšlicieux!!!!! Congratulations to Chef Michael!! 4 Stars Michelin !! It's like you are Ă Le Cinq a ParĂs. Merci beaucoup!!!!

I had the pleasure of dining at La Grande Boucherie in Chicago for dinner, and it truly felt like stepping into a Parisian brasserie. From the elegant ambiance to the impeccable service, every detail was on point. The menu is a love letter to French cuisine, and everything I tried was outstanding. The stake, lamp and everything else were cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. The wine selection was also impressive, complementing the meal perfectly. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was both lively and sophisticatedâperfect for a romantic dinner or a classy night out with friends. If youâre looking for an authentic French dining experience in Chicago, La Grande Boucherie is the place to be. Iâll definitely be back!

I had such a great experience at La Grande Boucherie Chicago! This place has a cozy, french, classic ambiance and you cannot beat the location, right in the heart of Chicago! We started with the Wagyu Carpaccio and the lemon aioli added an extra touch of freshness to it. The Foie Gras Torchon was beautifully paired with a hint of red onion jam, very classic French cuisine flavors. The Broiled Branzino with roasted potatoes is absolutely DELICIOUS! But my favorite was the The Filet Mignon Au Poivre, crusted in peppercorn and it came perfectly cooked! The filet was paired with a creamy sauce and buttery purĂ©e and we had to get a full-bodied red wine to match the steak. All bottles of wine were 50% off so we could not skip that! We also tried some of their crafted cocktails since they have their own creations. Our favorites were La Vie and Rose and the Boucherie French Martini. To finish, we couldnât resist trying two desserts, The Boucherie CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e has an unique twist on this French classic, the black sesame adds a nutty, toasted flavor that makes this dessert stand out. Trust me, this is an absolute MUST-TRY! The Yuzu Matcha Tart brought a refreshing end to our meal. Every dish and drink here felt like a piece of France, service was extremely on point and added to the experience. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

I was searching for a romantic French spot to take my date and had been hearing great things about La Grande Boucherie. Our experience was fantastic. It's currently decorated with beautiful holiday decor, and the ambiance was so cozy. The bar was a great spot to get a drink first and then we got seated right by the gorgeous tree decorate with sparkling lights and decor (if you are going this month, request this table). Drinks: espresso martinis and dirty martinis were delish. Highly recommend both. Food: WAGYU CARPACCIO was great and my date's favorite app. Dinner: I had the filet and boy, it was an outstanding melt-in-your-mouth dish. My date had the eggplant and he finished the entire thing. Dessert: The Matcha Finger Tart was the best dessert I've had in a while, especially since I'm not a dessert person. If you love matcha, this is a must-have. I love French food and I'm coming back to try the Onion Soup and beef Bourguignon. Highly recommend La Grande Boucherie for a date night but it's also a great group spot. Beautiful spot for food and drinks.

We've been at the NY location in the past, but today on a Christmas Eve the atmosphere was delightful. Beautiful decorations with a gorgeous Christmas tree, amazing service and the food was absolutely exquisite We had an unforgettable experience on a very special day. We're very grateful and would love to come back again We highly recommend the Foie Gras, Branzino, and the seabass dish in broth - each dish was exceptional.

Loved our experience here! Everything from the food to the ambience and the service was exceptional! The drinks were amazing as well!

Had an amazing experience at La Grande Boucherie in Chicago thanks to Marco. Heâs incredibly friendly, attentive, and knows his craft inside out. The cocktail he made was one of the best Iâve ever had â perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. Marcoâs energy and professionalism made the whole visit unforgettable. Highly recommend sitting at the bar when heâs there!

Sat at the bar on a week day night. The bar was steady but not super busy...my bartender Marco was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I would definitely eat there again.

Wether you found this place on trip advisor or were drawn in by the warm glowing lights and equally warm smilesâ you just found a gem. Each window frames a beautiful scene in a french restaurant you once visited in a dream, Set to a beautiful back drop of stained glass and an elegant interior swimming around a marvelous pewter bar that rises through the ceilingâ this place has everything; A well curated bar program run by bartenders at the top of their craft An extensive menu on all fronts executed by a highly skilled and passionate kitchen All presented to you by highly skilled servers and support staff at the top of their game with the ability to make hundreds of peoples night a special one. Everyone seems happy here, maybe itâs the people, maybe its the product; either wayâ if youâre looking for a restaurant that has the substance to make this night one of the most memorable nights for you and yours; This is the place.

Great appetizers and drinks. Reminded me of my recent trip to Paris. DiMaggio was so attentive and kind at the bar. He had great recommendations for us! We will definitely back for dinner. Fernando was also very friendly and made us feel right at home!

Le Grand Boucherie is a beautiful spot that has its charm but ultimately fell a bit short in a few areas during my visit. The ambiance is sophisticated, with the classic French brasserie decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Itâs the kind of place you want to linger over a glass of wine. However, while the setting was great, some elements didnât quite meet the mark. The service was friendly and attentive; my server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful suggestions. The cocktails were also a highlight, thoughtfully crafted and flavorful, which made for a nice start to the meal. The food was solid but didnât deliver the wow factor I expected. Some dishes were well-executed, like the mussels in red sauce (though I've heard they've changed this) and Onion soup but others fell flat, like the steak. For example, we ordered our steak at a medium temperature and came out well done, was slightly under-seasoned, and the sides lacked the depth of flavor that can make or break French cuisine. It's a lovely place to grab a drink or light bites but for the price, I expected a bit more finesse and consistency in the food. Iâd give it another try but would probably set my expectations accordingly.

This spot is great for a night out with your significant other. They have a variety of food on their menu, the bar drinks are excellent and the dessert was super delicious. I especially loved the wagyu burger and they even gave us an ornament, perfect for this time of year.

Amazing place with great food. The ambiance is fabulous! The bar has a nice happy hour menu. Great service from the bar team. The manager also checked on us and made sure our experience was great.

Love the vibe and decor here - wine was amazing, staff was helpful to my GF restrictions and desserts were amazing! I also love the burger.

Was looking for a great french place to eat for dinner and found this wonderful spot! I highly recommend going here, service was great and customer service was over the top. Will definitely be going back there for other occasions!

The restaurant is gorgeous; with a great atmosphere and lovely Belle Ăpoque decor. Food is terrificâ the Boucherie Burger is the best one Iâve had in Chicago. Hubby got steak and frites which was also great. Profiteroles were delicious. Excellent service. Highly recommended

One of the best French steakhouse I was before. Located at the river north and heart of Chicago, this great restaurant offers you a huge selection of perfectly crafted alcohol drinks, meat and a seafood. We got: Foie gras torchon - was great - not oversalty or fleaky, oysters - were great with different sauces, Seared scallops - perfectly grilled with vegetables and the Broiled branzino , which was little fishy on my Taste, but prolly cuz it was boiled. That place has great classic design, people dressing up there and got that Parisian taste! I really enjoyed that place and highly recommend it to visit and give it a try. Thank you for reading my review.

We absolutely love this place! The food is consistently top-notch, and the service is always outstanding. To make the experience even more special, the holiday decorations were a wonderful touch. We started with the Wagyu Carpaccio appetizer, which is a must-try and highly recommended! The combination of lemon and bread enhances the savory flavors perfectly. Next, we tried the escargot, something new for us. I really enjoyed itâjust be careful, itâs hot! My husband wasnât a fan of the texture, though, so I wouldnât recommend it for the less adventurous eaters. However, Iâd definitely order it again for myself. For our entrees, we both had the Steak Frites. My husband had the NY steak, and I went with the Filet Mignonâboth cuts were incredible. The Filet Mignon was buttery smooth, while the NY steak was slightly chewier, offering a nice contrast. To finish, we had the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e and the cheesecake. While the cheesecake was a classic, the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e stole the showâitâs a dessert Iâd recommend to everyone. Overall, we are always happy when we come to La Grande Boucherie Chicago. We know we will always be warmly greeted and eat amazing food. We got some nice photos with the christmas decorations. I would recommend this place for any type of occasion-- getting together with friends/family, date night!

Great experience. A team of wait staff worked together to make sure we were well taken care of. Each one served us as if they alone were our waiter. Desiree was friendly & well versed on menu items without being pretentious. She made excellent recommendations. Marcelo made sure we had everything we needed. The escargot was a favorite & a first for me. My filet mignon was my least favorite part of the meal because of the peppercorns in the sauce - too many & off putting to have the crunch & flavor overpowering the dish. My husbandâs ribeye was the opposite - simple, letting the quality & cook do the talking. Adrian is a skilled & entertaining bartender. Try the espresso martini! CrĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e & profiteroles were a delicious end to the meal.

First time here. My boyfriend and I wanted to grab some post brunch drinks. Dimitriy, the bartender, was attentive and helpful in helping us choose the perfect cocktail. The vibe was upscale without being pretentious. We will be back for drinks and would love to try the food menu too.

We were at the restaurant on Christmas Day and were first of all blown away with the stunning interiors. It's the most beautiful restaurant we have been to, both the architecture of the building, its features and the elegant but warm decor. The ambience and atmosphere were 10 out of 10, our table on the second floor offered great people watching opportunities. Our server Nico was warm, friendly and very informed about the menu and the restaurant, and was attentive throughout our visit. The food itself was perfect, the flavours were vibrant and perfectly balanced, and there was a superb selection of food and drink. Make sure you visit when you get the chance!

Love it every time I dine in here! This is my favorite French steakhouse in the city--I think this might be the only French steakhouse honestly?! My family often visits France and this spot is the go-to for us when we crave French food and vibes. Escargot and French onion soup hit us every time, steak cooked at the right temperature, desserts always the best, I can't complain!!

The best service, exceptional food and amazing happy hour!!! Marco went above and beyond with wonderful service at the bar! Highly recommend!

Always a favorite â I absolutely love the food and atmosphere at La Grande Boucherie. Itâs timeless, elegant, and the perfect spot whether youâre celebrating or just craving a beautiful dining experience. The service is always phenomenal, and I especially love their seasonal cocktails â so refreshing and thoughtfully crafted. Canât wait to be back again soon!

Yes it is a very beautiful room, particularly as decked out for Christmas. That said, the food is really not different than one can find at numerous other restaurants in Chicago, the service was quite rushed (perhaps inadequate staffing?) and it is pricey. As such, it is a nice night out but you can find better food and service elsewhere, certainly at this price point. As a plus, we were very impressed by the high standards of dress of the diners, well beyond what one frequently sees in today's culture.

My husband and I booked this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was noted on our reservation. We were seated promptly, but waited for 30 minutes before being asked if weâd like a drink. No pleasantries, nothing about why we were dining. Not a big deal, but as people who frequently dine out in Chicago, a bit disappointing. But then the wait for the drinks, the perfunctory order taking by the waiter- nothing at all to enhance the experience. I will say that the support staff was attentive, but our waiter never even returned to see if we wanted dessert. Food was fine, restaurant is pretty, but for a special night out, thumbs down.

Came here for HH with a friend! Our bartender was Marco, he was great. Friendly, and attentive. Definitely coming back with my fiancé.

My wife and I wanted escargots and a good steak. We had both. Everything was very good and sufficient. Marcelo and Mathew attended us very well. Michael, the chef, came to our table and that is a very thoughtful thing. We had a great time and whenever our travel takes us back to Chicago, we will return. Our compliments to the restaurant and the team working there.

Great atmosphere and great food. Decorated beautifully for Christmas. Our server/bartender, Di'Maggio, was excellent. Looking forward to returning!

Our highlight of our family vacation! The best food we have ever tried! Dinner was very delicious and the service was very helpfull and fast. I highly recommend this restaurant

Lovely lunch experience with dishes that mostly match the opulent surroundings. Favorites include the Wagyu carpaccio, namesake burger, famous fries and cream Mac. Scallops were perfectly cooked. Creamed Spinach was pretty standard and borderline watery so not a repeat order. Matcha Yuzu tart was a delightful blend of bitter, sweet and creamy flavors. Loved the PJ Breeze, a bright & refreshing mocktail of sweet, sour & minty notes. Our lunch server was a welcoming and attentive gentleman. Never would have guessed he had only started a month ago! We will be back to try the fromage board, croque madame and more!

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Absolutely fabulous dinner. All in my group pleased. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, wonderful service, acceptable prices, However the quality of the food was not exceptional. It was very good, just not outstanding. Excellent onion soup and huites, but the escargot was overdone and not very flavorful. Main plates were very good, just not the outstanding I had hoped.

Love this place for happy hour of dinner. Especially during the summer. Perfect for date night or a cute girly lunch with friends

The food was excellent, and the staff at the bar was fantastic! Demitri was especially attentive and helpful. Ambiance is cozy and inviting.

La Grande Boucherie is definitely a gorgeous spot - very classy and photo-worthy! Regarding the experience, we had a lovely waitress - she was very helpful with the menu - and overall we had a great time. The food was good - there were some things I would order again and other things I wouldn't - but overall I was pleasantly surprised by everything. The atmosphere was lively but transparently quite loud, especially when the live band came out, and it was a little tough to have a conversation with my friend across the table. It might just be that the sounds bounces off of the walls, but it was definitely busy for sure! All in all, we had a great time, and I love seeing unique atmospheres like this pop up in the city!

The atmosphere of the place has transformed beautifully, now exuding an upscale charm that elevates the dining experience. The updated menu features a range of exquisite offerings, with La Lorelei standing out as a favorite cocktail. This light and floral concoction, crafted with mezcal, CrĂšme de Violette, and vermouth, is a must-try for cocktail lovers. The grilled vichyssoise salad offers a delightful mix of creamy and grilled flavors, while the scallops are perfectly seared and melt in your mouth. To top it off, the profiteroles and mousse de chocolat are simply heavenly, leaving diners craving more. Exceptional service, especially from the wonderful waiter Matt, adds to the overall experience, showcasing great management and attention to detail. This remarkable combination of food, drinks, and service makes it my favorite spot in Chicago. I will definitely their regular customer!

Our dinner was perfect. I came here with my family and everything was magnificent. The service was very helpfull and the food was the most delicious we have ever had

Sat down on Mother's Day and waited over an hour for our food. When we asked the waiter what was happening he became indignant. I left but the rest of the party stayed. Avoid this establishment at all costs.

Came here for our one year anniversary while in town for a conference. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The wine list was very comprehensive; I had a wonderful Bordeaux to pair with my steak frites. My wife had the same and we both enjoyed them greatly. The fries were only average although the steak made up for it. Really nice environment and we really enjoyed the ambiance.

I've never been to France, but as someone who romanticizes going on there on the daily, Boucherie is pefect! The food and drinks are phenomenal and the atmosphere is everything! Definitely get the French Martini and the Boucherie Burger!

What a great spot! Lovely holiday ambiance and nice vibe. Also, excellent, personable, attentive service from Dmitry! Marco was awesome too!

The food here is amazing. I had the filet mignon and the oysters 10/10. Cocktails were great. Marco is an awesome bartender!

La Grande Boucherie is a great spot for date night featuring a fun and cute environment that is decorated for the holiday season. The wait staff is wonderful and does a great job of providing recommendations and going over the menu while pointing out the more authentic based French dishes they serve. Worth the visit.

recently dined at La Grande Boucherie and had a wonderful experience! We started with a refreshing summer drink and the rich French onion soup. For the main course, the roasted chicken was succulent, and the crab spaghetti was a flavorful delight. For dessert, the crÚme brûlée and chocolate profiteroles were heavenly! Highly recommend!!

We had a great time and enjoyed our lunch! The hostess that seated us Nataly was very kind and efficient! Loved the Christmas decorations very cute and good food.

I have visited La Grande Boucherie in Chicago multiple times and it is still one of my favorite dinner spots in the city. Everything Iâve tried has been high quality and delicious, but Iâm bias towards the steak frites (the fries are a surprise star of the show)! As well as every waiter weâve had has been so knowledgeable about the menu and extremely kind. Lastly, the ambience is unreal. You almost forget youâre in Chicago and not in Paris. This spot is absolutely worth a stop.

The food was a huge disappointment. The bread arrived nice and warm but lost its taste when cooled. We ordered Foie gras and it was so-so. The Beet and Caesar salads were meh. My New York was only tasty in a few spots and the Bronzino didnât smell the freshest. Too bad about the food since the room is beautiful and our service was as wonderful.

This was a lovely experience, celebrating a very important milestone in growing our family my partner and I received amazing service, the staff was attentive and very kind. The food was very tasty and my server was incredibly knowledgeable picking a perfect wine pairing.

This restaurant was super cute and fun for drinks and Marco S made the experience amazing. He made the best dirty martini and the service was great!

Beautiful restaurant. They added a patio that looks insane and I canât wait to go back. The food quality I was super impressed with. I always have to try a couple of appetizers when I go anywhere. I got the tuna tartare and it was mixed with grapefruit which was such a unique twist and so refreshing . I also got the mussels and wow did those not disappoint. The sauce was so good I literally drank it as soup afterwards. I got the branzino as a main dish and would order again. It was a little chilly out when I went so for dessert I also ordered a hot chocolate and it was DELICIOUS. Definitely need one for the fall / winter time.

Iâve been to La Grande Boucherie a few times now and Iâve always had a wonderful experience! Between the stunning atmosphere, the exceptional service and; of course, fantastic food! This has become one of my go-to spots in River North.

La Grande Boucherie is always a great decision! It was the perfect Friday âladies who lunchâ. The staff is always so welcoming and the food is outstanding. Then thereâs the space itself - just stunning yet so warm and cozy.

We visited La grande boucherie for my Moms birthday. Upon arrival the hostess team were friendly and got us seated right away. Our server Kami was really nice and well knowledgeable on the food and wine menu. At the end of the night we received a dessert with a candle and a chocolate note that said happy birthday as a surprise for my mom. Also, one of the hosts gave my mom a book as a birthday gift. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a birthday or special occasion.

This is a great spot for dinner! The ambiance is amazing, both floors are so beautiful. The food was so good definitely recommend the mussels!

The atmosphere is the selling point. We loved our French waiter (a nice authentic touch) We had the French onion soup which was to-die for, the lobster bisque and the Caesar salad and we shared sea bass with frites. Amazing French food. I couldn't stop looking at the stain glass and up to the second floor that looks down at the gorgeous bar and over the streets of Chicago. Great French Martinis too.

The ambiance is amazing and the service from Marco was spot on. Great cocktails and food for our birthday celebration was perfect. Thanks Marco!

Itâs my 3rd time coming back to this amazing restaurant the food is great and the hospitality is even better. They have new desserts on the menu and let me tell you that they are absolutely delicious! I would recommend to try this place to anyone looking for a new experience đ„°

Marco & Dimitri were amazing!!! Bar service was fantastic and food was delicious!! Canât wait to go back! We cannot wait to go back!

I had been to the Boucherie in Midtown NYC, so I was so excited when I discovered they opened on in Chicago. I came with some friends and we sat at the bar before having dinner. The bar is beautiful with a vast selection of liquors. We tried their Boucherie old fashions which were so good. Our bartender Dmitry was amazing and made us feel so welcome. We had a light dinner and Kami was our server. She was incredible and was so knowledgeable of the menu. We shared a couple apps along with the flat iron steaks. Everything was delicious and on point. Will for sure be back

Iâve been to La Grande Boucherie three times now, and every visit has been an incredible experience! The mussels were perfectly tender and flavorful, making it hard to stop eating them. The beef tartare was absolutely delicious, and the wagyu tartare took things to another level â itâs a must-try. The steak was cooked to perfection â juicy, tender, and just the way I like it. And the mashed potatoes? They were so creamy and rich, the perfect complement to the main course. To wrap it all up, the desserts were delightful â light and balanced, a wonderful ending to the meal. The atmosphere, the service, and, of course, the food, make this restaurant one of my absolute favorites in Chicago. If youâre looking for a place for an unforgettable dining experience, La Grande Boucherie should definitely be on your list!

Last night, a few friends and I went to this cozy French restaurant, and it was such a fun experience and the service really made the experience special. We started with some appetizers. The French onion soup was amazing, and the Escargots were so yummy!!! For the main course, I went with the steak frites, and it did not disappoint. Drinks were amazing too, specially loved the expresso martini. Our waitress Cristina was knowledgeable and patient, walking us through the menu and offering great wine recommendations. He really took the time to explain the dishes and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a spot Iâd go back to for a relaxed, delicious dinner with friends!

La Grande Boucherie in Chicago offers a truly Parisian dining experience, blending upscale French cuisine with a lively, elegant atmosphere. The moment you walk in, youâre greeted by a grand interior with stunning Art Nouveau details, high ceilings, and an inviting ambiance. The menu is classic French⊠The French Onion Soup is excellent and perfect for cozy nights in Chicago. The oysters are fresh with a perfect briny taste, and the steak is melt-in-your-mouth perfection. For dessert, we had the the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e and the perfect end to our meal. Itâs a fantastic spot for a memorable night out, capturing the essence of French dining in the heart of Chicago.

What an amazing experience! I felt like I got a taste of France right here in Chicago. Every plate I had was better and better. I cannot wait to go again!

We had a fantastic, delicious lunch. Started with Les Escargot, next a Steak Au Pouve, seared sea scallops on a bed of lentils, kale, broccolini with Pernod sauce, side of sautĂ©ed wild mushrooms, dessert was creme brĂ»lĂ©e for dessert. two bottles of a fabulous rose prosecco. Dimitri was our server who was knowledgeable and personable. He suggested these delicious ideas. Service was professional, prompt, and attentive. Would go back in a heartbeat. The restaurant itself is stunningâŠa beautiful space. Thank you Dimitri!

Great lunch, service was quick and attentive, wait staff was friendly, happy to explain and made great conversation. Been to the New York locations too, but this one took the cake. Food is top notch, youâd expect it to be far more expensive for the quality. Great place for older families, business meals, friends and especially a date. Add it to your list whether youâre visiting Chicago or local to the area.

La Grande Boucherie in Chicago is hands down one of the most magical places to visit during the holiday season. The Christmas decor is absolutely stunningâtwinkling lights, lush garlands, and festive touches everywhere you look. The ambiance is cozy but still elegant, making it the perfect spot for a special night out during holiday season. The food was incredible. Even the desserts were a standout. Everything feels thoughtfully done, from the flavors to the presentation. If youâre looking for a place that serves amazing food and gives you all the holiday vibes, this is it.

A friend and I experienced dinner at La Grand Boucherie and had a pleasant experience! The service was impeccable (cheers to Mikey D). He was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave well thought out suggestions and honest opinions about the menu items! He was attentive without being overbearing and had a great sense of humor! The building itself is large and can fit a good number of folks, so while it can get a little noisy it doesnât rise to the level of needing to scream to the person next to you. The menu is seasonal so be sure to ask for suggestions! The steak Au poivre was great and cooked to liking! The drink selection has a wide variety and everyone should be able to find something that they enjoy!

We had an absolutely incredible time at La Grande Boucherie! Every bite was fantastic, and the ambiance inside was lovely. Our server was kind, knowledgeable, and provided great recommendations. Can't wait to go back!

Great drink spot! Marco was a great bartender and very attentive! Be sure to ask for an espresso martini! Canât beat a circular bar.

Visiting this place filled me with excitement, and it exceeded my expectations! The dining experience was truly remarkable, especially the escargots, which were crafted with exquisite skill and sensational flavors. Marco was a fantastic host, ensuring our night was unforgettable!

Absolutely enjoyed my dinner at La Grande Boucherie! The best dinner spot in Chicago, especially the second floor atmosphere.. like wow! Highly recommend to everyone! xx

We had a lovely time! The restaurant is gorgeous. I couldnât stop admiring all the details in the decor. The staff were welcoming. DiâMaggio was friendly and very attentive. I loved his professionalism in being very patient with my particularity. The menu options are great. The food was delicious and the dessert and drinks had a marvelous presentation.

My quest to uncover the best profiteroles in Chicago led me to La Grande Boucherie, a French steakhouse housed in the Belle Epoque Building at 431 North Dearborn Street in Chicago's River North neighborhood. Open from noon to 11 Monday through Thursday, noon to 11:30 on Friday, 11 to 11:30 on Saturday and 11 to 11 on Sunday, it is a two-story restaurant in a unique Art Nouveau-inspired space, a blend of indulgent steakhouse with ref;ined Parisian brasserie charm. It features custom curved stained glass windows, custom mosaic marble floors, a racetrack bar and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and menu. And they advertised "the best profiteroles in Chicago." I came to see for myself. I started with a bowl of French onion soup with croutons and gruyere and a Caesar salad with parmesan and croutons. For my entree, I chose a 16-ounce bone-in Chicago-style ribeye steak with bordelaise sauce, potato puree and sauteed wild mushrooms. It's what a steakhouse is all about. Otherwise, my choice would have been broiled Branzino with potatoes, peppers, roasted lemon and fine herbs. For dessert, there was no debate. I was here for the profiteroles with choux craquelin, vanilla ice cream, Valrhona chocolate sauce and Malagany vanilla chantilly. The French version. Delicious.

Excellent food and ambiance! Our server Marco was amazing! Super friendly and heightened our dining experience! Thank you Grand Boucherie and Marco! Will come again!

Incredibly tasty food in a stunning two-story restaurant in Chicagoâs River North neighborhood! Donât walk, run to La Grande Boucherie and you wonât be disappointed!

Very busy place, the French soup is fine, a little exaggerated cheese and bread, but good taste. Excellent beef bourguignon. Good service and good wine options, and good service.

La Grande Boucherie Chicago is a restaurant specializing in classic French cuisine. We were greeted by a warm and friendly staff from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was both welcoming and festive, perfectly capturing the Christmas spirit. They even offered special holiday courses for the season. The food was exceptional, with a fantastic selection of meats, seafood, and vegetarian options. We started with steamed mussels and lobster bisque as appetizers, followed by whole branzino and boeuf bourguignon for the main course, and finished with decadent chocolate ice cream and crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e for dessert. Everything we tried was delightful! I highly recommend this spot for your next night outâitâs a wonderful place to celebrate, especially during the holidays.

Marco at the bar was great! Top notch service he was quick efficient and very pleasant to converse with. Will be returning!

Marko did a great job taking care of us! Will definitely come back for more laughs. Also the restaurant is gorgeous, and the music isn't too loud.

The hostess was super friendly, I felt very welcomed. The food was amazing and I loved the ambiance of the place. The manager, Matt, was also very friendly. Me and my friends came at a perfect time for the holidays because they were giving out ornaments for the season. I will definitely be coming back!

We visited La Grande Boucherie in New York last month. We were surprised they have another location in Chicago. Our experience was great. We sat at the Bar. The bartender made our night special. If you are in Chicago or New York this is the place to go.

Best happy hour in the city. Marco was so great to have as our bartender! Great happy hour deals. Marco will take care of you!

We had a great Happy Hour. Surprised to see they offered it on Sunday 2p to 7p. Lovely drinks and appetizers. Delicious cheese tray. Alex took great care of us!

Marco was the man! We were unsure of what to order so he made us a specialty cocktails based on our dinner order that would pair well with. Never seen a bartender with such skills and attention to detail than him. Definitely coming back!

I have been here a few times now and absolutely loved everything we ordered. Each dish was flavorful and well executed. Our server was very attentive and made great suggestions. Will definitely be back!

The dry aged Ribeye was off the charts good. The salads and appetizers were also particularly good. Each was done to a high level. The staff was numerous with managers everywhere they needed to be to ensure a great dining experience. The prices were what you would expect for this quality of food.

perfect place to spend an evening during the holidays! the decor was beautiful and the food was delicious! our server was very friendly and the chef went to every table to say hello. will definitely be back!

I enjoy the ambiance and the food. Chocolate mousse was exceptional. The staff we responsive to our every request. Props to our server Nico.

This restaurant is a must visit whether you live in Chicago or just visiting đ I am a regular there and I especially love their happy hour. It definitely doesnât feel like a happy hour because they make you feel like you are dining with glam. They make a beautiful dining set up for you right at the bar with white napkins. I donât know any other restaurants in Chicago that does it for you like that when you are dining at the bar or having a drink on happy hour. On top of that, their staff is amazing and so attentive. I want to specifically point out our bartender/server Marco that was very attentive despite of how busy the place was last night. He made us feel very welcome and paced our food in a perfect and thoughtful manner. Thank you so much Marco and I hope to see you there again on many occasions.

Perfect spot for dates with loved ones. Amazing food, nice host and very cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended place to visit.

AMAZING DATE NIGHT SPOT!! Favorite items were the escargo (seriously get this!!), espresso martini, & the petite filet. Highly recommend for a cozy date night w amazing ambience

This restaurant is gigantic, and that may be part of the problem. Cocktails are pretty good and there is a very large bar in the center of the first floor that makes it suitable for a drink or more and a snack. Noise levels make conversation difficult. The second floor is a little bit quieter but since it opens to view the downstairs bar it is still noisy. Food offerings are inconsistent. An excellent vichyssoise starter was accompanied by a just ok beef burgundy entree. The profiteroles were maybe the poorest quality pastry I have ever tasted. The bus staff was very efficient in bringing water and bread and clearing plates but the upstairs needed at least twice as many wait staff as were present and service was very slow. We didn't bother to order a second drink as it took ages to receive our first. The restaurant should stock at least wines by the glass on the second floor to speed things up. Really reminded me of the Orlando Disney World French restaurant.

If you want a memorable experience ask for Marco! We went for the happy hour and the bar and got the best oysters and mussels of our lives!!

Me and my friend go at least once every two weeks they have a great happy hour my favorite bartender is Marco (the butcher) he makes great drinks.

I LOVE La Grande Boucherie. The restaurant has such a fun ambience and it was decorated so beautifully for the holidays. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! Our waiter was so nice. We will for sure be back!

Love the food and atmosphere there. Service was wonderful and the Christmas decor is amazing! Dimitri is so nice and professional. Will visit again!

Upon entering a nice doorman held the door for me. We walked into a gorgeously decorated dining room decked out with holiday decor and a gorgeous Christmas tree by the main bar. We were escorted upstairs and sat at a lovely table overlooking the downstairs. Our first round was the Fraise Cremeuse which was delightfully refreshing and tasted just like a fresh strawberry, and the Province Martini which was a wonderful explosion of lavender to the tongue. The French onion soup was divine! Great caramelized cheese with plenty onion and just right broth! Highly enjoyed! The lobster bisque was creamy and came with a mini croissant and a dollop of crÚme fraiche. The waiter even came by with fresh ground pepper to top it off. For our mains, I got the filet mignon steak frites. Plenty of crispy delicious frites! The steak was cooked to perfection but I think next time I would get medium rare. Mouth watering delicious! My date got the peppercorn filet mignon. It was cooked to perfection atop a bed of creamy, flavorful mashed potatoes and smothered in a peppercorn sauce that was out of this world. For dessert, we ordered the black sesame creme brûlée which was fantastic. The top is a crispy crunchy black sesame crust. The middle is not too sweet with almost like a chocolate pistachio flavor. Very unique and worth a try, especially if you don't love very sweet things. We also got the cheesecake with a passion fruit caramel sauce. Highly recommend this phenomenal end to a fantastic meal! Great texture and flavor. We couldn't stop eating even though we were stuffed to the brim! Our server, Andres, was fantastic. Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, patient and an all around delight. He was great at recommending things and explaining things without making us feel rushed. Also shout out to Diego for the waters and welcoming vibe and to Matt the manager who was super friendly and gave us a really interesting history of the company when he stopped by the table! PS we wish Scotty the best! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Very large, beautiful restaurant with a cool zinc bar in the middle of the ground floor. Food is good, not spectacular. Eggs Benedict needs better bread (the muffins are thick & doughy), and much more flavorful hollandaise. Butternut squash soup is a bit bland as well. Service not always professional.

Itâs always about the basics of cooking and La Grande Boucherie delivers. Hot food hot and cold food cold. Ask for a medium rare steak and get a medium rare steak. Seasoned to perfection! Our server, Marco, was wonderful. Attentive, polite, warm and friendly. Bravo to Chef and their crew. Another wonderful meal.

Always an amazing time at La Grande Boucherie but it is especially magical in the holiday season. The whole restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were given a tree ornament upon exiting. The food was 10/10 - highly recommend asking your waiter for a suggestion. We had wagyu carpaccio and it was phenomenal, and steak is always 100/10. Definitely a must-visit stop when in Chicago!

Extraordinary Lunch and fantastic treatment at this restaurant! We sat at the bar during a late lunch happy hour and had personalised custom treatment from the bartender Dimitri and a personal greeting from Ryan the sommelier. The food was excellent â muscles and a gourmet burger with a side of grilled wild mushrooms. Could not have asked for a better afternoon â highly recommended!

Thr brst dinner we have ever had. The ambiance is perfect, very cozy, very festive. The service and food were amazing! Thank you LGB!

Really great spot for authentic French food with a wonderful ambiance. Really unique for the city of Chicago. Our waiter was very kind and helpful. Favorites were the Waygu Carpaccio and the scallops. Great cocktail selection as well. Definitely a good place for couples or large groups if you're celebrating something.

Marco S made the start of the evening! Very attentive and great drinks! The vibe of La Grand Boucherie was it. Will definitely return.

I had booked this restaurant as part of a birthday celebration weekend for my husband. The hostess greeted us warmly and sat us promptly. Our table was lovely with plenty of room and a nice view. We were given delicious bread (and butter/sea saltâŠ.yum!) and drink orders were taken. Our food was decent. I was underwhelmed by the escargot (which I was really looking forward to). It had very little garlic and was much more parsley-forward in flavor, which made it pretty bland, in my opinion. Our server was pleasant, but not terribly attentive throughout our meal. A beautiful building and an interesting menu, but I donât think we would go back.

Me and my mother were on a family trip to Chicago and our friends recommended this place. We are so happy to be able to dine here! The best experience ever! đ I am highly recommending this place to everyone!

Love the food and ambiance at the restaurant, parisian vibes, good food and drinks, Matt is amazing as always, highly recommended if you're around

Im honestly in love with the French ambience and atmosphere at this restaurant! From the marble floors, beautiful high ceilings, this 2 story restaurant is truly like stepping foot in a timeless French restaurant. Not to mention they have a larger sea food option on their menu! I personally think the steak tartar is my favorite thing on their menu. The place is a must try if youâre in River North.

On this edition of date night, I was lucky enough to be invited to La Grande Boucherie. Iâd previously been for a tasting event, but had not yet had the opportunity to have a full dining experience. For starters, we did the escargot and the scallops (the scallops are not on the appetizers sections on the menu but were listed as a gluten free appetizer when we asked beforehand). My girlfriend has celiacs so itâs very important that she doesnât inadvertently have any gluten. These two dishes were gluten free and absolutely incredible. Iâd never had scallops before and suddenly Iâve become a huge scallops fan. For my entree, I went with the wagyu burger. I asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. Every bite was just as tender and delicious as the next. The fries were great as well. My girlfriend had the skirt steak and couldnât stop talking about how delicious it was all night. Lastly, for dessert we had the chocolate mousse. Usually, with gluten free dessert options you are left just ice cream, but they have so many different options here with crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e as another option. The mousse is designed to be shared by 2-3 people and it really was just a bowl of creamy chocolate tastiness. Overall, I had an absolutely splendid experience. Particularly for my girlfriend, itâs been tough since being diagnosed with celiacs to feel like thereâs a lot of options at restaurants but La Grande Boucherie was extremely accommodating. The staff was very knowledgeable about cross contamination risks and even went back to the kitchen to double check. I think sharing a delicious meal is one of the greatest things people can do together and I honestly canât thank La Grande Boucherie enough for allowing us to do that without the fear of gluten issues.

Amazing dinner spot!! Loved everything we had and great service. The burger and drinks were amazing! Highly recommend checking it out!

This spot has such a good vibe, perfect for happy hour with the girls. I went on a summery night in Chicago and the windows were open. I recommend the Mac & Cheese and having Kami as your server. đ

Such a cozy winter dining spot in Downtown Chicago. Festive Christmas decor in December. Highly recommend the French onion soup and beet salad.

My partner and I went here for dinner on a Thursday evening and had a wonderful time. The space itself is gorgeous and I love the large bar centered in the middle of the restaurant. Although it was just the two of us, we were seated at a four top table, which generously accommodated all of the food we ordered. I loved the duck liver mousse, which had a perfectly rich flavor and smooth texture. For entrees, we had the duck and a steak frites with bordelaise sauce. The duck was cooked perfectly and I loved the accompanying lentils and brussel sprouts. The duck comes with both a breast and a leg, which offer two completely different experiences. Our steak was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of char. The fries were crispy and delicious and came with two dipping sauces. For dessert, we had the Paris Brest and creme brulee. The Paris Brest was the standout for me, it had peanut butter and banana elements which immediately took me back to childhood eating peanut butter banana sandwiches. The service was wonderful and very attentive. Our server made great recommendations and was very generous with his time and energy. One pleasant surprise of the evening was the live band playing throughout our meal. They performed wonderfully and added a very romantic and lively atmosphere to our meal.

Perfect place for a date night, special event, or even with a group of family & friends. Ambiance here is incredible, aesthetically pleasing, open atmosphere, beautiful architecture, racetrack bar, amazing staff, and some of the best steak Iâve ever had- cooked by perfection by their new Chef Michael Taus. 10/10

This is my home away from home. So good, so tasty! A little piece of Paris in Chicago! Their Hola in Paris cocktail is terrific. Be Ed miss that Nicoise Salad and Pistachio cheesecake!

We simply cannot get enough of this place. We've ordered the wagyu carpaccio every single time we've come and it's incredible every single time! Chef Michael Taus paid us a visit to the table this time and we were so pleasantly surprised that he was such a down to earth man for pumping out such high scale, fantastic food. I swear each trip here is better and better. We shared the French Onion Soup on this trip as well and it was absolutely out of this world. Everything on the menu is a 10 out of 10!
Enjoyable dining experience!
Service by Bryan was top notch! The Mousse de Foie Gras was excellent. The cherries and crostini which accompanied the appetizer made it exquisite. The French Onion Soup with the Gruyere Cheese was scrumptious. Boeuf Bourguignon was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We shared a Creme Brulee which was delectable! Our compliments to the chef! It was a wonderful evening and we look forward to trying more dishes!
