Always great

By Accidential Local |

We have been coming here for years. We always grab lunch and learn a little French. Great food and staff are wonderful. Take the time and enjoy. Lunches are busy.

Lunch with friends

By James H |

Stopped by following a doctors appointment for a quick lunch with friends. We were seated promptly and our drink and food order was taken in an appropriate amount of time. We all ordered French dip sandwiches and a side Caesar salad đŸ„—. My sandwich was very good and quite filling. I’ve been to La Madeleines several times and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommend đŸ‘đŸ»

Excellent Breakfast and Pastries

By DieselDad |

I've visited this location a few times, mostly for breakfast, but sometimes just to grab a quick Napoleon or breakfast croissant. The people who work here are generally friendly. The location is clean with lots of parking out front (there always seems to be a lot of cars but also always a table to sit at, so never an issue there). I would like to say I've eaten across the menu, but I can't seem to get past the Crepe Romanoff, which is a sweet crepe with berries and a cream sauce that' fantastic. That, plus bacon and a cup of coffee, you are set to go on your day. I eat at lots of places on the road, but this has grown to be one of my favorites.

Not at all wgat we expected

By VAD859 |

Expecting a higher end sit down restaurant with comfortable seating and quality food, we got a cafetetia-style get in line with your serving tray and order as you advance down the line kind of place. Drinks are self serve. Your Neal will be brought to your uncomfortable wooden table and chairs when it is ready. And not necessarily in the order expected. For example, ibevifboyr colleagues got her entree furst. Then, halfway through her evtree, her soup arrives. Another got her dessert (strawberries and whipped cream) delivered before her entree and vegetables. Suspect this is a better option firvtsjeoyr than it is for dinners ng in given the experience vwe four had here recently. As business travelers, we will not be back.

Absolutely filthy...but food is good.

By christine w |

Have been here for lunch, dinner, about 40 times. The food is usually better than fair for the price. Love the salads and soups. However, I have to say something about the bathrooms at all La Madeleine locations in Atlanta. They are all filthy and they smell. There is a sewage problem and/or the seals/plumbing just needs replacing. Also, I saw a chef blow his nose, NO gloves, and then handle a sandwich.

Service has improved - food just as good as ever

By Emma H |

I am really pleased to see that La Madeleine has put some significant effort into improving the service and friendliness of the restaurant. Still quick, simple and tasty, meals here are now a lot more enjoyable. The bakery has some great take-out options such as french baguettes and quiches.

Excellent food and Bakery

By Coachchadwell |

We never miss eating at this cafe. Definitely a great place to go with friends for lunch or coffee and a dessert. You can pick up bread from the bakery after your meal.

Nowhere near as good as it used to be.

By Jenny S |

My husband and I are long-time fans of this restaurant- or, at least, we used to be. We visited this particular location today for the first time in a year or so, and were very disappointed. The restaurant was dirty. The food was mediocre at best, and it used to be excellent. The worst part was the service. Several employees were standing around doing nothing but arguing with each other and yelling back and forth while we waited around 10 minutes to place our order (we were only second in line to order). When it was finally our turn the person who took our order never greeted us, but merely stared at us. When we paid, we had to keep reminding the cashier to give us various things that we had paid for. Everyone seemed irritable and uninterested. Because we waited so long for my husband's order to come, and my food was getting cold, I went ahead and ate by myself. His order (nothing complicated, a sandwich and pre-prepared pasta salad) was finally tended to when a manager noticed that I was done with my meal and we still had a delivery marker on our table. It still took a few more minutes after that. An all-around bad experience.

Amazing

By ColoradoCyndy |

This little place will serve you the freshest and most amazing food in no time. You walk up and everything is made to order and then you sit and they will bring you your very tasty meal. No waiters, so no tipping!

False advertisement, not protioned well

By Alexlaw2016 |

Ordered food via grub hub and the food that arrived was delayed, so in my mind who ate some of my soup! The top of the soup was opened, So not sure if they give you full cups and fill it half way? why? and the "half" of the sandwich is about 3 inches so the whole is really a half. So not feeling how half of a soup and half of half of a sandwich cost $10 will not ever think twice about eating here.

Bonne Nourriture with Bonne ambiance

By Siddharth S |

Well, pardon my French, but I wanted to say 'Good Food with Good Ambiance;. This place does justice its location and blends in with all the great shopping around it. Its got indoor as well as outdoor seating and you can get both French food as well as delicious French pastries here at any time of the day, or night. What I like most is the courteous staff and consistent food quality and still not being overpriced. Like to go here with my friends as well as my soul mate :)

Always Enjoy Eating Here

By CountryTravelerUSA |

Have always enjoyed eating at this restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Prices tend to be a bit high but the food is always above average and it depends on what the crowd is like for faster service. They have a nice small bakery and the decor in the restaurant is quaint and tight on busy days. It does get noisy sometimes with a lot of business folks at lunch. Enjoy the soups, french breakfasts, and sandwiches. Lots of places to shop and enjoy around the area.

Not spacious but worth the visit

By ATLANTAJK |

The food is fantastic and the staff greets you with a smile. The location is small and sometimes feels a little crowded. I'll deal with that for the amazing tomato bisque and the Chicken Parisian sandwich. It is a great spot for lunch or brunch. Everyone in our family finds something they like to eat there.

Nice place for lunch

By Shelly S |

Went there for lunch twice while on a business trip. On both occasion the food was good. The server was very accommodating to my request. The food is good. Service was pretty fast.

Tasty food but confusing and awkward ordering system

By Kiara O |

Group of five of us had dinner at La Madeleine. There is plenty to choose from on the menu, and the food was delicious and well priced. The downside was the confusing and awkward ordering system. There is no table service, nor are there menus on the tables. So people just stand awkwardly around the cashier while looking at menus and deciding. Some menu items are delivered to your table, others (e.g. quiche that one member of our party ordered) was picked up immediately and then she waited for the rest of our orders to arrive. If you can navigate this then I would definitely recommend - the food is tasty and quite moderately priced.

Sudden visit for a lunch

By ZanAA1987 |

A spur of the moment lunch stop turned out to be excellent. I was too satisfied to select something sweet but it sure looked great. I'm headed back there soon!

An Excellent French Restaurant

By Jan B |

I have always loved the food here as it appears to be very authentic French food. Their pastries are delicious as are their croissants and they have the best Coconut Cake ever. The coffee is excellent with a variety of choices. In a great shopping center with good parking availability, this restaurant is in a great location convenient to 400 and the Dunwoody Shopping area. Their Quiches and Tomato Basil Soup is outstanding and the mushroom soup is great as well. We are not in this area very often but when we are, we love to dine at La Madeleine!!

First and Last Visit

By Aisha B |

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will be my last. Eunice, the host, was rude and condescending while wearing a hidden Bluetooth device and seeming more focused on her personal conversation than on customers. She gave no greeting, no eye contact, and no courtesy. When I asked about the specials, she never explained the menu options or how the specials worked something that’s important for a first time customer. After I ordered my food, I tried to check in with her because it seemed like a lot was going on and she might have been overwhelmed, but she was so wrapped up in her conversation on her hidden Bluetooth that she never acknowledged me. She also didn’t explain how long my order might take. At one point, she placed a plastic cup on the table without explaining it was for me again, something a new customer wouldn’t automatically know. When she realized I hadn’t touched it, she was dismissive and rude. I ended up waiting an unusually long time for a simple chicken croissant sandwich. Eventually, I spoke with the manager on duty about her behavior. For some reason, he had her come out to speak with me while I was waiting for my friend to finish eating. Instead of apologizing, her first words were, “Did you talk to my manager?” an unprofessional and defensive approach. This led to a back and forth exchange while the same manager stood by the door, allowing her to continue being rude without addressing her behavior. There was no accountability, no professionalism, and no sense of customer care. Based on this experience, I will never return to this establishment.

Chef Maurice is so good, helpful, beyond ...

By Jeff G |

My wife and I eat at Madeline's each Saturday morning because the food is good, service is quick, excellent, and the people engage with us in conversation. They know us and the atmosphere is wonderful. It begins with the food and Maurice.

Quaint little restaurant

By 784sherryb |

It is a cafeteria style French restaurant. There was a choice of salad- iceberg lettuce or spinach with a choice of dressings. I chose a spinach quiche and French onion soup. Both the spinach quiche and the onion soup were lukewarm. The waitress was more than willing to take it back and warm it up.

Food - Not Like the Picture

By Greta |

Granted this is a busy La Madeleine but the place is not cleaned up well and the food is not like advertised. They know they are a busy location SO they need to do better. Our food was just slopped onto the plate-see picture. The ladies making the salads threw them together and douse with dressing--you can cut back on that dressing by half. Everything was just slopped around, even the soup. The tables and floors were trashed with dirty plates and stuff all over the floor. We had to clean a place for ourselves. What's up with this?

Easy in and out.

By realpatt |

Needed to get something quickly - easy and quick in and out and a step above most fast food places. Great cookies.

Nice Place for Lunch

By cpwtrip |

We met my sister in law who lives there at this place for lunch. We had salad and soup. My husband had a sandwich. It was all very good. They have a bakery too.

Coffee & pastries

By Nannetteph218 |

They have the best pastries but a little pricey. I'm a regular here. The meals are delicious. After 7pm, the pastries are half price. I take advantage of that.

Nice!

By Murray N |

A very nice place to eat. Food quality is excellent and reasonably priced. Agree with other reviews that the ordering system is confusing.

Good service and food

By tkatl76 |

Stopped in for lunch and ordered a few items for my girlfriend and I to share on a rainy day. Soup, salad, a french dip sandwich- all were solid. Staff was very friendly. Good quick service spot.

Long Distance Love

By Koliana K |

We hail from Florida and have been to this location a few times before in passing. On a recent business trip we drove 40 minutes from our hotel to this location to purchase pastries and lunch for our 6 hour drive home and the service here was WONDERFUL. The manager was lovely and so kind, she took care of us and spoke to us to sweetly she went above and beyond to make sure we were alright for our departure. Mohammed was the the attending To-Go person and he did a fantastic job handling such a busy time of the morning and still gave us a gracious smile. David the overall manager was eloquently sweet as well and expressed his gratitude for our loyalty. We absolutely LOVE La Madeleine French Bakery. Their ingredients are fresh, the taste is authentic and the experience is one in a lifetime. I would have no problem driving that far again, it was worth it.

Best tomato soup!

By April W |

La Madeleine's has the best tomato soup I've ever tasted! Used to get it often when I lived in Atlanta. I'd recommend trying some if you visit. They used to sell it by the jars. It's a cute little cafe.

Nice decoration avarage food.

By Rudy G |

This place it has a nice decoration but the food can be found much better in any other place. The size of the dishes is kind of small. I had a dish that included a soup, and two other side items. I chose the spinach salad, chicken salad and tomato soup. Soup was not as good as I was told, it was salty.

this is for the Hartfield Jackson Airport kiosk - DO NOT SUCCUMB!!

By tropicalnorth |

I arrived after 12 hr of travel and couldn't resist the flaky croissants on display. $4 for a chocolate croissant was pricey but I was hungry. DO NOT GET IT!! This is not a croissant. It's slightly undercooked bun. Once you bite through the crust, the inside has a sliver of chocolate in a pocket of air with chewy undercooked dough. So disappointing!! Service was also confusing. They sent me ping-ponging between 2 tills depending on if I was using cash or not. It shouldn't take 5 minutes to pay exact cash for a croissant!

Great Little Find

By Lisa B |

I spent many weeks in Atlanta for business reasons with my project team. We were always looking for new places to get dinner to keep from getting too bored while away from home. While taking the shuttle from work to the hotel, we would frequently pass La Madeleine until we finally decided to give it a try. Although it is a bakery, it is also a restaurant with some pretty darn good food. It is a small place where you order first then find a table where they will serve the food when ready. There is a fireplace in the center of the room which makes you feel like you are sitting in someone's rustic living room. The menu has a European flair and offers chicken and seafood dishes that are really good and flavorful. It may not be fancy, but you will not leave hungry.

Nice place very popular

By blackdiamondring |

The food I've tasted here was very good ,I often go for breakfast with my daughters , I have not had a bad experience and highly recommend psst!! The fruit tarts are great too !

Overpriced and not good... IMHO

By AlexMom |

So I stopped by here while waiting for my appointment. I pretty much stop by places whenever I see he word bakery 😋.... ordered cafe mocha and almond croissant. Not only was it overpriced, it wasn’t good at all. Cafe had no taste and croissant tasted nothing like almond... very bland. If you’re in the mood for some yummy treats and really good bakery items, drive a few minutes more to Alon’s - you won’t be disappointed!

A Little French Gem

By HelpfulAngel |

This is a quaint little cafe that I like to frequent when I am craving a little bit of France. Great pastries, try their spinach pochette! Great coffee and a real nice ambience. A great place to spend a cool lazy afternoon.

La Madeleine's Sho' is Fine

By FionaSue |

My family and I have been traveling to Atlanta for years to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries at La Madeleine's. Our favorite entree is the Chicken Fricassee. We also love the serve yourself bread with butter, jam, and jelly. We always try to sit by the fireplace, especially of course in the winter months. The desserts are always fun to peruse and try. The lemon tart is scrumptious. The salads, coffees, breads, everything is good.

Management Changes Make Quality Inconsistent

By SingingGourmet |

We stop in once a week to pick up fresh croissants, and desserts to take home. The croissants are wonderful and flaky most of the time, but we have had some not so great, not prepared or cooked to their usual standards, and I have notified the corporate office. Then things are fine for awhile, until staff falters on quality. Lately we have noticed a new manager on duty and last week we stopped in for dinner and the food was not up to par. Unfortunate.

Great service

By Laura_Smithers1 |

Went in to get some sweets for the Thanksgiving and the service was amazing. The server was a sweet girl with a lovely French accent. I'll definitely have to stop by again before I leave town.

Made Me Sick!

By romadaro |

Decided to try something different for breakfast since I was way early, so I stopped here and ordered a veggie country omelette and the potato galetto. Both were tasty but I had diaherra the remainder of the day. I must have gone to the bathroom at least a half dozen times on the plane and it was only a 90 minute flight. I got up so much that I was really embarrassed but I had to go! I even had to stop on the way home even though I went before leaving the airport. Can't remember the last time I felt this way. I'm in Atlanta at least once a month but I will never go to this place again!

Enjoyable

By suz |

Clean, well presentation of food behind glass windows, timely servers and a lovely touch of French cuisine throughout the menu. A really busy place for lunch but tables become available as it is informal dining. It is always delightful and never disappoints. Free parking and good food...love it !

Great Spot for Short Meeting

By HighTimbers |

The food is always good be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great salads made to order in front of you as you specify all the ingredients. The space is generally quiet and comfortable so great atmosphere to meet for a short meeting with two or three people or more in the back room which can be closed off with a door to the main dining room. There are a few fireplaces and outdoor seating. We have been coming here for years and it is always pleasant, with good food and so convenient with so much parking. Located in the REI shopping center.

Plastic in my food

By Katelyn E |

I was eating the chicken parisian sand which and there was a piece of plastic that looks like it came from a cheese slice wrapper in my sandwich.

A French Delight

By shawnelamb |

When visiting the area, we searched for a place to enjoy breakfast. La Madeline came up as close to our hotel, and open early on a Sunday morning. To our delight, we stepped into a quaint French cafe wonderfully decorated as French farmhouse. Even at 6:30 in the morning, the staff was friendly, peppy, and very helpful. I ordered the "Cinnamon French Toast" while my husband had the "Breakfast Croissant". We also had specialty coffees. Both were delicious. We'll be back next time we visit the area.

Good but different

By Flyrod929 |

Service was good and I liked the food. Tomato Basil soup especially good. Had a combo that was reasonably priced. Ordering is different than most and could be confusing. Think they are in need of updating as several areas look worn. Also need to be more attentive to trash on food. All in all, definitely like and will be back.

Always good eats

By oldergent |

We had brunch here and the food is always excellent with a wide variety of choices. The staff is wonderfully helpful and the little French Bistro atmosphere adds to the fun of eating here.

La Madeleine

By MaryAnn E |

Lunch with a great friend who I seldom see. The selection of food was perfect. I had a wonderful salad and she had a french grilled cheese which was spectacular. We both had the tomato soup which is always perfect.

Barring the riude staff, fabulous place to hangout and get some good food

By Pallavi_Gal |

I don't eat meat or sea food and so for me finding food options at a French restaurant are not too many. I was pleasantly surprised with this one - cozy wood work decor, self service choices with sampler menu options and chilled ambiance. We went for Sunday brunch - double hot chocolate with Make your own Crepe (I never knew brie could taste so good), breakfast sampler of tomato basil soup, Spinach Pochette and Cranberry & Pecan Wild Field salad. Staff is not very polite. I told them that I was here for the first time and how things work - they just pointed and said "you order there and you pay here". One of them was actually rude to my husband when he asked for a menu. It seems they have a bunch of them as you enter. But on a first visit its not very obvious that its self service.

Good Food and Friendly Service too!

By JimSTL1021 |

We returned to La Madeline after a long absence from Sandy Springs. The food was just as good as we remembered it. Whether you choose from their soups, sandwiches or daily quiches you will find something to enjoy for a quick lunch in a country French style that goes well beyond fast food.

Slow and marginal

By Rock R |

La Madeleine , off of Abernathy, is a Panera Bread style restaurant where one preorders food and it brought to the table. We ordered and paid at 12:08pm and were served meals at 10 minute intervals until around 12:50pm. IE four people got meals at different times. The service obviously was SLOW and the food was MARGINAL. The manager was apologizing to several customers but it was a matter of bad workers/cooks as their were plenty of people. This location has poor performing staff at this time and we recommend avoiding this restaurant. Too many other good choices in the area are avail

French Bakery

By GKBruskin |

This bakery is across the street from the Embassy Suites where we were staying. We ate lunch there the first day and it was so good we went back twice. There sandwiches and soups were excellent..

The worst service by DALANDRA!!

By luv2d1ne |

First of all...I own 13 restaurants and I must say a worker like Dalandra needs to be fired. She is the negative aura that needs to go. Just wow! I went there at 9:25pm on Friday March 6th...35 mins before their closing time. I said greeting to her...she looked at me with disgusted face. I then apologized..said sorry if I came in too late, I hope you have some fruit tarts left. No answers. I still tried...said to her "wow so much great stuff..must be a lot of temptation to work here". Ignoring... Then she said..what do you want? I pointed at the mini fruit tarts & asked how much is the bigger size. Ignoring again. At that point I have had it and I went off nicely but painfully I'm sure. I didnt come in 3 mins prior to closing. I tried to greet her asking how she was, while it should be the other way around since I am the customer. And it's fine if you ignorea my trying to cheer you up, but when my questions were related to my purchase, you should have not pretended to be deaf. I dont need a perfect service..just be decent and DO NOT TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE BEGGARS!!

Pricey but Good food.

By Marsha A |

I have eaten at this restaurant for both lunch and brunch on Sundays. The food is good, you do not have wait staff, you must stand in line and order, receive your food then sit down.

Faux French

By Marco N |

Pretty horrible! Go to the real French place and Marietta. - cappuccino with no foam - brought out meal for guest and forgot mine - messy and dirty - pathetic customer service

Purse stolen

By Anne |

Will never return. My purse was stolen and i never left the table. The manager acted like she didn't care and pointed to a sign that said dont leave belongings unattended. That didnt pertain to me as i never left my table and purse was at my feet. I wondered if it was an employee.

OK Bakery and Cafe - Nothing French About It Though

By BelindaJ770 |

Don't let the name of the restaurant fool you- there is nothing remotely French about this restaurant. This is simply your typical bakery and café. If you know this ahead of time, you will enjoy the food. If you do not, then you will be disappointed. If you are interested in a pasta entrée, I recommend the Pasta de Madeleine, which is a mix of penne pasta, mushrooms, broccoli and tomatoes. It is absolutely delicious.

Nothing Special but food was decent

By StevenHScher |

I met a couple of friends for lunch. I had never been here. Right off the bat not my kind of restaurant. You get on line, order your food & sit down at a table with a number. The food came in a decent amount of time. I ordered the French Dip sandwich which comes with a side salad or chips for $10.29. You can order a half sandwich for about $2 less but a half sandwich is small since the whole is not huge. It was very fresh & tasty. The service was good. It was just a pretty ordinary lunch.

Disappointing

By George M |

Not what it once was. Service and food quality severely lacking compared to itself from its past. Three meals and all less than what I have enjoyed in the past and expected today.

Excellent lunch menu

By Scarlet P |

Had a Christmas lunch date with my daughter and friend. Love this place. Their tomato basil soup is the best. Chicken salad makes a great lunch sandwich. Love the unsweetened flavored tea.

Kind of reminds me of Panera bread

By Red Top |

This is a decent place to stop in and have lunch. Nothing too amazing. We weren't impressed with what we ordered. So it's not a bad place to have lunch but in the immediate area you can do so much better.

Delicious Country French Cafe

By sogo |

When I entered with my sister, we were greeted by a bright smiling face and a warm welcome. There was a bakery will a wide assortment of French pastries to the right and a buffet style line for placing orders. Some things like soup and salads are readily available in the line. Other items are prepared to ordered and delivered to the table. There are tables both inside and outside. Additionally, there is a room for business meetings or parties. Today there was a slight chill in the air and the manager lit the fire in the dining area which only enhanced the ambience. In addition to the regular menu, La Madeleine offers some Smart Choice options that are under 600 calories. Whether you eat onsite, order take out or purchase jars of the tomato basil soup or salad dressings, you won't be disappointed. It's all delectable!

Labor day weekend

From the Manager, to the servers, the ambiance, the food, everything is fantastic. had breakfast there almost everyday. Food os fresh and delicious.

Breakfast

By Darlene G |

The Food was so good and the staff and location great. The food has a French Southern taste that melt in your mouth.

French but not heavy or frou frou

By Rebecca A |

I eat here a lot for lunch and even sometimes breakfast The chicken friand is always delicious and do not pass up the mushroom gravy!! The Croque Monsieur is one of my favorites. And have a potato galette as well. Some people swear by the salads but you can have salads anywhere. Don't go if you don't plan to have desert - I favor the Sacher Torte (Viennese not French, but who's keeping track?)

My fav chicken salad sandwich

By Marisaap |

The best is the chicken salad sandwich, tomatoe basil soap and potatoe gallett. The jam.is great too. I go frequently

Confusing ordering process

By Vivian |

This was our first visit, and we found the whole process a little confusing. We weren't really sure where to order, pay, or sit, and we did a lot of standing around trying to get someone's attention. We found the menu overwhelming with all the combo options and exceptions to what you could put in a combo. It also all seemed a little overpriced. The soup was very good, but the rest of our meal wasn't memorable enough to recall what we ordered. We absolutely loved the complimentary bread and jam selection but almost missed out on it! No one mentioned it to us, and we didn't see it on the menu. It ended up being a good meal, but I don't think we would come back.

Great soups, salads and sandwiches

By Claude M |

Had dinner with friends at La Madeleine. We had the tomato bisque (very tasty), a veggie omelet, a kale and quinoa salad (could be a little spicier), and a brie and turkey sandwich, served warm, very good as well. The service was prompt, and extra bread slices were available to accompany our meals.

So French, So Delicious

By Rajashree |

Had a quick snack break at La Madeleine and it was yummy. The variety of pastries, patties, soups and pasta makes it difficult to settle for one.

Always good

By Peachs71 |

Great food. My favorite is the chicken friend. The food is always fresh, the service good. The fresh bread and jams are a plus to every meal. Kid friendly and reasonably priced.

Quaint French-style cafe with delicious food.

By Helen711 |

Came at 1pm to avoid the big crowd. Very few people there, but the front counter was being managed by only one person, and she had her hands full. I ordered the salad sampler and tea combo for $9.99. Delicious and filling! There are several choices. I had chicken salad with a lettuce salad and the French onion soup. Very good and a great price!

Very good spot

By CT2GA770 |

I visited this location during a spoken word event Soulful Sessions I attended in January. The location is great and the food was very good..drinks are also on point and its not expensive at all. I would rate this a very fine establishment!

Ok

By DenyseAlbany_NY |

Appreciate some workers actually spoke fresh. Too many prepare pared foods for me vs cook to order. Okay for breakfast but nothing special beyond the croissant

Lunch visit. Great cozy place

By Enrique J |

It is nice looking place. Feels like you are I need a cafe place somewhere in Europe. Love the tomato soup. Good chicken Caesar salads. Desserts are great good coffee too.

breakfast was disappointing

By schwammy_11 |

This used to be one of may favorite places for breakfast, but no more. Breakfast should not be this hard, but the eggs were over cooked, the coffee weak, the bacon was not crisp, and the potato cake was too hard--one bite was enough. The coffee was weak and the staff was detached and unconcerned. The charming atmosphere is the only thing going for this former destination, but sadly that's not enough to bring me back again.

Always love La Madeleine!

By Karen D |

Great menu and food! Truly a french experience and lovely place to dine! Delicious soups, breads, quiche and of course desserts.

Great for desserts

By Alaa A |

We had a quick lunch at this bakery. I had a tuna croissant sandwich and we also ordered a grilled salmon with dill sauce. They were both not bad but not great either. However, they do have a great variety of delicious desserts and pastries. I would definitely recommend it for desserts.

Many choices for every meal

By Nina Zee |

When I travel, I always look for a La Madeleine because I know that I can receive a good solid meal, at a great price and the quality is always the same. There are so many things to choose from for whatever meal. For breakfast you can so something small and grab one of their variety of pastries or have a nice sit down breakfast (varieties of eggs or omelettes, etc.). Lunch/Dinner: soup, salad, sandwich, pasta, etc. For my recent visit, I decided to get a custom omelette and potato galette. While there was a decent crowd, our food came out quite fast and the service was friendly. There are nice tables outside for dining. The decor inside is very quiant.

AMAZING RESTAURANT!

By Elle A |

Do you love french food served at the most perfect temperature? La madeleine is the place to go. All of their food is served right at the perfect temperature, not too hot and not too cold. They are a delicious restaurant that serves amazing french food. La madeleine is an amazing french restaurant. When you walk it you can smell all of the outstanding dishes being cooked behind the counter. All of the smells make it so hard to choose what to pick from the long menu. As soon as you step one foot into the restaurant you immediately think you're in paris. Almost as if you can look out the window and see the Eiffel tower. One reason la madeleine is very loved is for its delicious tomato basil soup. This soup is perfect for all ages. I see many kids and adults get this dish when I go eat there. It is also great for a lot of people because it is gluten free. It is the most eaten thing at their restaurant. It is called the famous french tomato basil soup. Another reason la madeleine is amazing is for its very sweet and kind staff. They always have a smile on their face and are always ready if anyone needs help.

Good food and nice place to sit.

By LJans |

They have several interesting options in the menu. Also for special price you can make a combination. I liked the interiour of the restaurant, it has charm.

Consistent

By Thomas G |

I love this place. Food is great, prices are reasonable, portions are just right. I frequent this place because of it.

Quaint, Romantic Date Night Spot that is Quick and Easy!

By Heather B |

My husband and I wanted to get our Christmas shopping completed and have a date night while we were out. We didn't have time for a fancy, multi-course meal. La Madeleine was the perfect fit. It is a French eatery that isn't overly priced and is easy to get in and out of. We loved sitting at a table by the fireplace, sipping red wine while we ate creamy, French inspired pasta dishes. 30 minutes later we were out shopping. I totally recommend this cafe. And they cater too... Trying to figure out a way to let me husband know that I would like La Madeleine to cater my next birthday!!

Always good!

Have been to several of La Madeleine's locations & you can always count on a good meal delivered to your table. The atmosphere is nice, plenty to choose from the menu from a light bite to lunch to a full meal! Leave room for the pastries, they are the best!

Always Great

By cartermac |

Fast Service. always consistent food. Service needs tweaking this location. Overall served my purpose. Great Food.

What a treat!

By campdr |

We live 2 hours north of Atlanta and were staying in a hotel around Perimeter Center. We had a late morning appointment and finally were ready for lunch at 2pm. La Madeleine was right there. What a treat it was! The atmosphere and the staff are great. The food was outstanding! I always have a special or combo so I can get a little bit of a lot of things. I was not disappointed. We came out of there ready for a nap!

Good breakfast

By summerlover97 |

We had our breakfast out on the sidewalk, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The food was good; we would go back there again.

Disappointing

By S M |

I have been to La Madeleine before, but it had been several years. My experience previously was less than optimal, and I regret that my recent visit was not an improvement. The restaurant was too loud, the food was burnt, not fresh, and at best, a let down.

A nice place for lunch or dinner

By boat66 |

We stopped for dinner at La Madeleine with another couple for a relaxed dinner, and found it quite pleasant. The food, service, ambiance, and price were all very good.

Good food and nice environment

By Rachel |

You know that it is hard to find authentic French food in Atlanta. I think this place is close enough. The price is fair.

Excellent food everything appeared to be very fresh

By clemson_grad79 |

Wife and I popped in for an early dinner. This is a partial serve style restaurant in that you go tot he counter and place your order. Using a tray then move down the line to pick up items like soup or salad and drinks. then if you ordered something that has to be brought out you are given a wooden sign with a number on it. When your order is ready a server will bring it out to you. Wife got the rosemary chicken and salad and I the Mediterranean Paella and tomato basil soup. Everything was very good and tasted very fresh. Staff was very attentive, helpful and pleasant. Would definitely come back if in the area.

Great for Girls . . . and Girlimen

By JA M |

This is the kind of restaurant that most women rate far higher than men would rate it. It is average quality fare at best, but mostly the kind of "fru-fru" dishes that women like. There is nothing memorable here, and most men, if dragged here by girls, or girlimen, will want to forget it.

Nice Dinner Experience

By Jaded-Bird |

Shopping in the area and stopped here for a dining opportunity. Worked out well. An overall positive experience. Food was quite good. Service was a bit more to average maybe average minus.

A great find!

By bristolpj |

We had often passed La Madeleine when visiting the Perimeter Mall and had promised ourselves to check it out. We went for a late morning brunch and it was excellent. As other reviewers have noted, it is a little confusing on entering - there is no discernible line, no visible menus and no helpful staff greeting to explain how to order. But the food at the counter was enticing and once ordered was produced quickly. We both chose different breakfast selections and we were both more than happy. The potato cakes and the bacon were both delicious and with well cooked eggs provided a substantial meal. The only downside was that the croissant served with the meal was cold - it really should be served warm to bring out the true flavors of the meal. The individual pies and the pastries all look delicious. And this was at a reasonable price too. And contrary to what others have said, as someone who has actually eaten in a number of cafes in France, it is very definitely in a French style.

Ok Breakfast at Non Full Service Restaurant

By ddmullis |

I recently dropped in for a quick breakfast. The ham and Swiss croissant was tasty but mostly bread with very little Swiss or Ham. The potato cake was very good It’s a nice atmosphere however it’s not a place I would make a special trip to eat at This is NOT a full service restaurant

Walked Out

By Eliza K |

Went on a Saturday at 6:30 pm. Service was so slow at the counter, just to order, I walked out. What I did see of the menu looked very expensive.

Very good but also very noisy

By Tony1784 |

This not the first time I have eaten at this chain, but the first time in this particular venue. The lunch I had was its usual good quality in terms of ingredients and cooking, There is no room sound proofing and the tables are fairly close but not tight. However the sound level of the chatter around the two of us was so loud that half way through our meal we picked it up and obtained a table outside under the porch. We could then hear each other speak. Fortunately today the weather was warm and dry. I will go again but if possible sit outside and cooked food will still be delivered to one's table

Nice French place for Lunch

By sj1991 |

This place is really close to where I work. I really loved the food here. The desserts are must have. Also they have some great deal going on for Lunches where you can get a soup, salad and sandwich combo.

Delicious and nice atmosphere.

By Kathy B |

A fun place to go - good food, nice staff, and you can learn some French in the bathroom! That was actually quite entertaining!

Great restaurant

By Chip B |

Arame, the manager, is very friendly and maked going to La Madeleine fun. The food is great and the atmosphere very relaxed.

Odd Place

By Jeff_Pruett |

A french style bistro. You order in a cafeteria line, pay and get served. Very confusing menu. Ordered a chicken dish, It was dry and very salty. Can't really recommend it for lunch. However it has a small, nice

Lousy La Madeleine

By Miamor13 |

This place is set up nice but the slow laid back approach is poor. Was not impressed when they made up our order to go when we were dinning in. If you want to deal with slow service where you will get pissed off this is your spot

Unique, good food

By Gerald C |

Nice place. Worth another trip. Best self-order meal I've had, maybe ever. The food is 5 star. I had the beef Bourgogne, and my daughter had the chicken crepe. All food was hot and tender, and the beef sauce was especially tasty! Like another reviewer, it was a bit confusing to order, and I had trouble understanding their English. Also, one person in our party had her food served late. If not for this I would have given 5 stars overall. Very good restaurant. You will like the food, trust me.

My expectation was too high

By Tyung2014 |

nothing really outstanding, just a normal cafeteria type bakery. food is fine, place is busy for a Saturday lunch. To be fair, I was expecting a more French bakery experience.

JUST AS I REMEMBERED IT - WONDERFUL!!

By bobscag |

After a business meeting in the Perimeter Mall area of Atlanta, we needed to find a place for lunch. As I always do, I opened up TripAdvisor to see what was around. I saw La Madeline, and having had very good experiences at La Madeline locations in and around New Orleans years ago, I asked my group when was the last time they had eaten at a LaMadeline. All agreed it had been a long time and all agreed they had liked it on past visits. I was happy to see nothing had changed. The selections were varied and all were tasty and fresh; everyone enjoyed their meal very much. Plus, the cozy atmosphere makes for a very enjoyable all around experience. I'm glad I went back and I plan to return again soon.

overcharged

By alhambra2017 |

Grossly overcharged!!! stood in line at 9 AM just to get a bottle of Pepsi--- Be sure to dispute the charges -- I could not since I would miss my plane. I was charged $10.78 for a 20 ounce bottle of diet pepsi.

Decent Food - Weird Layout...not so French

By kbroski42 |

Ate here while passing through for a trip. I'm in the Atlanta airport often and never really stopped by because I never had time (It's outside of security in the atrium). Decided to stop by and ordered a sandwich and team. First of all, this food wasn't really french at all...didn't know what to expect being that the restaurant is in the South, but regardless, was hoping that it would be French. Selection is along the lines of an Atlanta Bread or a Panera Bread - sandwiches, soups, and salads. Probably wouldn't stop by again...nothing majorly against it, but not what I was hoping for.

Subpar service and food

By Brooke P |

Went for Sunday lunch around 2 pm. Waited over 45 minutes for our food. Other customers were standing around upset by the wait as well. Kitchen seemed not to be organized or know what they were doing. All standing around talking looking confused. Once we got the food it was very very subpar. Not impressed by any means, definitely not worth the wait!

Fresh food, generous portions

By Helen7115 |

My husband and I had lunch at this cafeteria style cafe on a Thursday and had no trouble finding an empty table. All the hard surfaces make it a bit loud, but it's a cozy setting with a fireplace for ambiance. Friendly service. Food is lovely and fresh. I had the combo salad and pastry with tomato basil soup. The soup had zing! My husband got the French dip sandwich. He was pleasantly surprised that the au jus was not too salty and the meat was not fatty or grizzly. Drinks and desserts are pricey. With tax a fresh fruit tart costs over $4.

Sullen service of average food

By Kari J |

This place is nothing special. The French Onion soup was Panera quality and the Quiche had probably been under the heat lamp all day.

A Taste of the French Country!

By jeffb1650 |

La Madeleine's is our favorite restaurant in Atlanta. We've been to both of them in the Northwest area of Atlanta. Their French style food is magnific! French Onion soup is to die for! Croissants! Ooh La La! French Roast Coffee! It's all making my mouth water right now just thinking about it.

Bad

By Jenna |

Went here on business and not impressed at all. Restaurant did not feel or smell clean. Had to ask for drink cups. Never even received my caesar salad that was my side to my main dish. Would not return.

sweets

By Maha S |

As usuall, the sweets were varied. The Napoleon was tasty though it needed a serrated steak knife to cut. The fruit tarts were ok. Coffee was hot but the 1/2 and 1/2 should have been refrigerated better.

A mother's day breakfast

By cvmercer2016 |

Great location--we are not from Atlanta. The food was good and delivered quickly. Great options for the whole family. Mimosas were even on the menu! Great service and friendly people.

Poor service and subpar food

By Yves |

Went there a few times in the past 12 months. Service is poor - unwelcoming, unsmiling, slow. Food is uneven. Pastries taste stale or a day old - the exception being the Sacher Torte which is good, and the reason I did not give the review a one star. Breakfast is ok; lunch looks like cafeteria food. Decor could benefit from a major refresh. French poster on the wall is half coming off. Could be easily improved with better management.

Reasonable food in nice ambiance.

By LJans |

The ambiance of this restaurant is good, I like to sit there, and also when you are alone it is good. They offer french style food, and you order and pay at the "bar", then you get a number and they bring the food to your table.

fun

By Dawn S |

Fun and relaxing place for a nice lunch with great food and priced reasonably. Nice selections would be good for breakfast or lunch

La Madeleine in Retrospect

By George M |

Service was unbelievably bad, breakfast items not prepared which limited menu options and dining space not filthy but could have been cleaner. Staff cared less if breakfast items were unavailable. Sadly, I recall when they opened and today they should close. Two very different restaurants!

Travel to France without leaving your neighborhood...

By HavanaHal |

I remember the first time I stepped into a La Madeleine's in Alexandria, VA 20 years back. I was so excited I couldn't wait to share the experience with everyone I knew. When my mother came up from Charlotte it was the first place I took her for lunch. She looked around and said, "Oh, you brought me to a cafeteria?" OK, technically I guess it is a cafeteria, but it's also more. Close your eyes and it's a quick and inexpensive trip to the continent. Enjoy!

Scrumptious

By Elsie M |

First experience was at Thanksgiving with a divine coconut cake my niece had shipped to me in Michigan. Visiting for Christmas I was anxious to try the food. I had a light snack of tomato basil soup along with the cake. My niece had the mushroom soup and chicken sandwich. My niece has traveled several times to France and commented that the food, decor and ambiance reminded her of some bistros she frequented while there. I highly recommend this wonderful French Cafe. They are also noted for their breads, desserts and catering service. We arrived about 3:30 Christmas Eve the bread case and dessert case were practically empty. A testament to the reputation this cafe enjoys. The service was very good. The staff was very friendly. Try this cafe for a wonderful dining experience.

Bland

By KentuckyMom2 |

Crowded lunch spot, had quiche & sandwich bland not much flavor. The servers & cashier were unfriendly . Won't be back.

A Typically Good La Madeleine

By southerntravelerms |

In the top five tomato-basil soup category. Salads are made on the spot and generous helpings. The restaurant is one of the few that are cafeteria style -- get a tray, go down the line, pick out what you want. Not your typical Panera Bread - type of restaurant. Better I think. On the other hand, the staff were pretty blase' about the whole thing; not much enthusiasm.

Just average.

By Traveler |

For a quaint little breakfast place in the hustle and bustle of atlanta, I would definitely recommend this place. However, I was hoping for better. The customer service on that Saturday morning was lacking, the pastries weren't really that fresh, my eggs benedict was way overcooked. However, my latte was exceptional. I'm glad I opted for an espresso drink over drip coffee, it was just sitting there on hot plates.

Good Choice!

By joycetv |

The food is very good here! It's "cafeteria style" but everything is fresh and tasty!! The restaurant looks clean. The employees are nice and friendly

A great array of prepared to order foods and desserts

By jim k |

Chocolate almond croissant was unbelievable and in close competition with the apple turnover, Rotisserie chicken was tasty and a sample of my friend's French dip was great. A great array of soups, even lo cal. Omelets and quiche are available for the discriminating breakfast fans.

Always good

By Kai88 |

I'm a sucker for french desserts. They have a good lunch and great desserts. I have never been disappointed with La Madeleine.

Atlanta Z Meeting 10-16

By v c |

Was suggested by a friend, was interesting almost like a cafeteria line to order food. Had plenty of choices, decent quantity for cost. They brought your order to you other than starting basics. All of us were satisfied & pleased with food. The chocolate sorche torte was Awesome, fresh, smooth & delicious. You could buy some of there sauces or items. They were really busy. Food was served quickly. They have a room for a group of people. Try it you'll like it

France in Atlanta

By Jeanine M |

Fireplace vintage art on walls eat as much or as little as you want But save room for the desserts. Wines, tea, coffee french bread You will feel as if you're in french village. Can be very busy on weekends, great breakfast place

Will not return

By SweetHomeAL07 |

Had the cafe sampler... French onion soup: served tepid. Scant amt of cheese added on top never melted. Quiche Lorraine 1/2: served slightly cooler than room temp. Crust was over cooked and not edible. Ham chopped so finely it added nothing to the rather tasteless custard. Pecan cranberry salad: had potential, but nuts were so finely chopped, they had no crunch. Left 3/4 of the meal and went to find a bagel. Service: no greeting, cafeteria style, with little assistance from servers on options. Kudos, however, to the "busboy" who cleared promptly and quietly.

Not bad

By Tangent110 |

Not bad food, but very expensive for what you get (quality and quantity). I try to avoid it if possible.

At Best Fair

By DrMarc9491 |

Stopped into this restaurant with a business associate for dinner. Had been to a La Madeleine in another state one-time prior. Upon entering the location, we were greeted by a friendly employee. Items on the menu were discussed and orders were placed. The restaurant was clean and orderly. It seemed to take a long time to received our order and at best the food was average. Dr. Marc, PS 63:7

First time

By Cognac62 |

Was here Sunday brunch. Stand in line and order. Food brought to you. Quite fresh and tasty. NOT overpriced. Son had french dip. I had eggs. Only complaint. Egg dishes ONLY served with pork products. They did let us have a turkey slice. How about some turkey bacon or sausage?

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere

By 11195924MI |

Got the cafe sampler which lets you try a couple of different things for a reasonble price, I had chicken friand and mushroom soup. Very good! We went several times and I always liked what I had. My daughter ordered French toast on one visit and didnt recommend it

Great place for...

By EBIATDA |

Great place for...a quick lunch or a nice sit down pastry with unlimited refills of fountain sodas and coffee, esp if you work nearby, meeting a friend, business meeting, or flying solo. The food is absolutely delectable. Wide variety of specialty pastries made by whom I suspect is a team of professional pastry chefs. These are not your average Corner Bakery-type pastries. They are a fairly (but fully) priced. Not a rip off if you appreciate quality and a creative symphony of ingredients. The hot menu is also very well prepared with nice portions and average to cheaper-than-average prices for what you get. Their specials are indeed special, for example right now they have a crepe omelette that is divine - a choice of three "toppings", five of which are meats and the others veggies. The crepe part is perfectly prepared - crispy on the outside, even, perfectly cooked (not dough-ey), and nothing burned or signed (are you listening Ritz Carlton Buckhead?) Service is fast, friendly, and very accurate. It reminded me of the military - where they repeat your order back both when ordering and again when you pay...all with a "sir!". I almost saluted out of habit. The food comes out fast, hot, and nicely plated - even though the place gets PACKED at lunch time (more on that below.) There's no place to leave a tip and they don't insinuate that you should leave one even though they bring the food out to you, come and ask if everything's ok, and clear your table after you leave (are you listening Souplantation?) They even offered to refill my elderly mom's coffee for her and get more sugar. Ok - now about the crowds. It's packed for a reason. The good news is that table turn-over (not even including the ones outside) is fast so you never have to wait though it seems you would have to when you first walk in. Warning: Because of the crowds, it does get noisy, but it's no different than a crowded restaurant in NYC. It actually creates an aura of privacy because you know no one else can hear what you're talking about - even if that includes the people in your own party sometimes. The atmosphere and decor are very warm, comfortable and reasonably spacious. They have a lot of "cafe tables" - the little round ones for one or two people. There is also a nice fireplace with real logs burning in the winter time that adds so much to the cozy atmosphere. There is also a spacious back room for private functions. This place is not ideal to bring kids even though you get the Desperate Housewives set bringing along a toddler or infant to their mom-brunches, but during the crowded times, patrons have figured out not to bring little kids. The crowd is mid/upper scale, working professional, Dunwoody-resident, preppy - just nice. No annoying teens, backwards baseball caps, or sagging cursing rapper types. No wonder there are often a lot of private business discussions going on. You can also just sit and commandeer a table with just coffee refill after refill and no one bothers you or gives you the hairy eyeball to hurry up and leave. Overall a great daytime dining and meeting place.

Busy

By bristolpj |

Visited Saturday lunchtime so the place was busy. But service is quick, the breakfast was first class, good eggs, plenty of bacon, great potato galette and good coffee. Excellent.

Middle Ground ~ Interesting and lacking all at once

By Jaded-Bird |

We wanted to try the place for dinner. We had been there before at lunch and it was so busy as to not really give you a idea of what the place might be like if it were not so crowded, loud and just busy. First my middle ground remark suggests there could be a rating between 3 and 4. That's where this review should sit. Interesting was a new dish on the menu: a beef bourguignon. This thing arrived hot to the max and smelling quite good. It was, in fact, tasty, but a little something was missing, lacking or whatever. Perhaps it will be refined as time passes. The spouse had a chicken crepe' dish that passed her tests so we're back toward that 4th rating. Overall, pretty good.

Cosy place for for a quick dinner

By bristolpj |

We had been ehre for lunch but never in the evening. Open late until 10pm, the selection of food is great, soups, wonderful pies and quiches, cakes galore. The only compaint was with the coffee which was foamy and tasted of washing up liquid! Not cheap but pretty good all round.

Good for late night bite

By michael p |

A perfect place to top off that late night hunger that sneaks up on you when you are not looking. The staff is friendly and can make suggestions to fill you up.

Warm and fun

By Jeanine M |

Once again,a good small place to come out of the cold to a nice fire. Great new food to try. Clean and out of the way and low cost, near shopping center.hotels People here are outstanding French wine, but not a bar

Whats the big deal?

By JGP44 |

I never understood why people enjoy this place so much. Its way overpriced for some basic breakfast items. I can cook the same stuff at home for a quarter of the price... just never got it. Its super cute inside and the people are friendly. They just need to season their food a little and get unique with it...

Not a bad sandwich, salad and pastry shop

By Rob B |

It's cafeteria style to order, which I found odd. You get and refill your own drinks. Hot food is delivered to your table. Salads are prepared in front of you. Food wasn't bad. Plenty of complimentary bred to nibble while you wait.

Cafeteria not "cafe"

By s m |

Easily could be a decent French style cafe. Unfortunately overall felt like a cheesy airport of college campus knock off with the cafeteria style. Staff had a smug attitude. Atmosphere was good if not a bit crowded.

Rude, cold, terrible

By SatMan-GA |

This place has gone downhill fast. It used to be good. Recently, it was awful. I've sent this information to corporate. It's been 3 days with no reply. You're either open or you're not. We arrived 30 minutes before closing. The counter staff were rude. There were a few unavailable items (understandable late in the day). When we got our food, all of it was cold. The cheese in the French onion soup had no chance of melting. The potato soup was a thick blob. This is a food safety violation in addition to being disgusting. We had to ask them to put condiments back out, and there was no bread available. We asked. They said there wasn't any, despite bread on a rack behind the counter. Mid meal, a guy tried to take our plates while we were still eating what was safe to eat. I had to return to the counter to get a missing item, and was given a rude attitude by the employee who was clearly miffed that we dare eat there while they're open. I spoke with the manager before leaving. She seemed indifferent. We exited right at closing time, never to return again.

Just ok

By Kim_chi110 |

I was staying at the hotel right across so I came over to Le Madeleine for dinner. The price is reasonable, but the food was just ok. Nothing special. They also sell pastries, but the price is on the high side. Also, they need to do a better job at cleaning up the tables. I think I will head somewhere else next time.

Stupindous

By dbyrd63 |

I absolutely love this place! It's quaint, and warm. When it is cold, they put on the fire place. My favorite was Rosemary Chicken with a side Cesar Salad. I love the Strawberry Romanoff, the cream is sweet and strong. Very cozy.

Quick lunch reasonably priced and good food

By Dave H |

Friendly, inexpensive and very good French Bistro. Cafeteria style but the food was freshly prepared and moderately priced. Good place for a quick lunch.

Delicious!

By susan.harryman13 |

Had breakfast with friends and loved it! Food was fast and delicious. Our only complaint was we were really looking forward to mimosas but they were out. The croissants and strawberry-rhubarb confit were so great we almost forgot, though! 😀

A little slice of Paris in Georgia

By Tim S |

La Madeleine is truly a slice of France in the heart of the Deep South. Have been frequenting this restaurant for the past 10 years. 10 out of 10!!!

nothing special

By Khandie |

My family and I have eaten here before a few years ago but on this occasion the service was so slow and it was not even that busy, I had the cinnamon croissant french toast which was nice but a bit expensive for what you get.

Potatoes Galette! Must try!

By Familyman6 |

Authentic French cuisine! Potato Galette is amazing and a must try for everyone. They have a delicious blackberry jam that pairs well with breakfast. Its about $10-$15 a person but it’s definitely worth it. Everything is made from scratch and fresh! Staff js polite and friendly. Best part if you happen to goto the bathroom, while your in there you will hear a pleasant “how to” guide on basic French words and translation. I thought that was really a unique twist to bathroom music. Note: They have there soda machine setup old style and it is delicious. Best Dr. Pepper in town!

Tasty

By William H |

LA Madeleine at Perimeter Center is a great spot for a comforting sit down meal or for takeout. I can't resist the delectable pastries!

Breakfast treat.

By maryluber1 |

We always eat at LeMadeleine when in Atlanta. Their potato galette is the greatest. All other selections are good, too.

Breakfast

By David S |

Love stopping in for their breakfast including the french roast coffee. Usually I buy a pack of beans to take home, but they didn't have this time.

nice cafe bakery..

By thepemim |

I went there on sunday night, and we tried their baked goodies and french coffee and some pastry, the pastry was very well looking and tasted great, coffee was ok but you can refill as many times as you want, feel free to have as much as you can eat of freshly baked bread and butter and home made jam...the food was ok too , for such a cool place and such reasonable price its a nice experience.

Good food, bad service

By Caroline T |

The food was pretty good, but the lady taking our orders at the front was extremely rude. She even seemed annoyed when I asked a question about the menu.

My refuge

By Deepslumber |

They have great pastries and hot breakfast items on the menu. If the hotel breakfast falls short or non-existant, this is a great place to go. They have good lunches too though there are other places for that. This place is saved in my GPS!

Visited Atlanta Airport location, Pleasant surprise!! Will return

By CheeryCheryl |

Our server said this location opened this summer, and my teen daughters and I will make it an Atlanta airport destination. Located outside of security, south terminal, across from food court (with typical fast food options,) this location offered a pleasant retreat from airport "hecticness" in spite of its location. Great food and reasonable prices. Enjoyed chicken sandwiches, and a dinner plate of chicken with a mushroom sauce, green beans almondine and potatoes. Fresh sauteed haricorts verts. Too full for desserts, but eager try a sampler of several. Large variety of small, attractive desserts. Nice to be served by such a classy employee. Will seek out their other locations when traveling. Can't wait to return.

Good food, nice atmosphere

By GoinGray |

Hadn’t visited for a year. Still tasty but the service is spotty. Quiet and cozy. Several outdoor tables available.

Crowded, Noisy & Good

By Flyrod929 |

Had very good mid week lunch. Salad combo with soup. Food was very good and price was very reasonable. Service was good too. Really crowded and noisy which I didn't care for. French food pretty caloric but very tasty. Will be back!

La Mad

By Chip B |

I really enjoy La Madeleine. It has great food, atmosphere and people. I highly recommend the American for breakfast and the Tomato Basil soup for lunch.

Great location. Small portions

By lisamill15 |

Great location. Small portions for price. Bakery had several options. They brought food out piece mailed and forgot my sandwich. Complimentary bread. Bussers removed plates as quick as you finished reaching over my meal while I was still eating. Small place so I’m sure that’s their way of turning tables quickly but please give me a few minutes to enjoy my sandwich you forgot to give me....

Not like it use to be.

By Jeniene M |

Had lunch there. They had no strawberries for the salad. The soup was good, warm but not hot. It seems like the food is not as good as it was 5 years ago.

French Food & REI Too!

By justcausey |

Pulling into the REI at Perimeter Center Atlanta with an appetite could be something of a problem if trying to think past the freeze dried meals in camping goods
not this time. La Madeleine there on the corner promised everything! Even a group of four at a table outside speaking French! Inside the clamor of many voices and the straight back chairs sliding across the floor added to the flavor of the meal; the meal was very good! I had a cold soup on that hot day, salads were fresh and the sandwiches well stuffed. Having not been there, a bit of confusion in ordering from what we thought was a long buffet but the rewards were very nice.

Where did Little Madeleine go?

By claymade_traveler |

What once was an amazing little french experience has gone the way of many delicious restaurants. They sold out. This has become a chain and has lost its passion and heart. I will never go again. Both the Chicken Crepe and Chicken Madeleine were horrible and took over 20 minutes to get. They used to have fresh breads and the bread was wretched. I am so sorry about this because it was a special place!

Confusing Menu Selections - Good Food

By Jamaican_Canadian |

As a first time visitor, it was difficult to understand the ordering system and what goes with what; an idea may be to have like Panera Pick 2 i.e. Quiche Lorraine with fruit salad or tossed salad and whether you want half or a full size Quiche Lorraine. We held up the line in trying to understand the menu system. I had the French Onion soup (very salty) half size Quiche Lorraine (very good), my sister found that her Quiche Lorraine was not firm (it was made separately from mine); my other sister had the Kale salad which was good. We order the pastries to go with shortbread and they were excellent. The French stick was great (note you do have unlimited bread) to go with your meal at the end of the line.

Mediocre food & Lackadaisical staff

By -Roxanne-Reina- |

Disappointed with our late lunch. Food was nothing special and overpriced. The highlight was a delicious tomato basil soup. The salads and the sandwiches were disappointing. The staff did not greet our party even though we were the only customers. The staff did forget one of our meals and had to be reminded. Maybe this was an off day for the restaurant.

Quick Lunch

By Janis M |

I've been to La Madeleine many times in the (many years ago) past and was pleasantly surprised to see the upgrade in the menu. The service was excellent as were the servers. We both had something different and the quality was very good. Will go there again.

Fast service

By Carlos G |

Had brunch, tomato soup was not as good as the onion soup. The quiches lorraine are recommended and of course the pastries are the best dishes.

Positively charming!

By Rachel L |

I am completely charmed by this phenomenal restaurant!! Saeed (probably spelling his name wrong, I'm sorry!) was the manager and made my visit positively enchanting. And don't forget the sweet treats, they were utterly delectable. I can not wait to visit again.
