Heavy on seafood, leaning strongly into Baja roots, with salsas that can be sublime (I’m looking at you “salsa that goes with the torre di mariscos”) , and surprisingly affordable when you take the portion sizes into count, this is definitely one of the better Mexican spots in Vegas The only downside is the spotty service - when it’s good it’s amazing, but when not it can be extreme transactional. Anyhow, worth the visit…

If you like seafood and fish prepared with a Mexican flair, then you should love this place. Best shrimp salad I have ever eaten. Not sure about a lot of their dishes because after the first shrimp salad, I cannot order anything else. Not fancy, just good.

I am surprised! This restaurant is very good. It was crowded on a Sunday evening. We had to wait one hour to get a table, but it was well worth it! Mariachi band playing, which was awesome, and the food is to die for. We tried a seafood molcajete, and it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Will definitely come back to this place.

Our first time in a very long time we are in LV. We heard about La Mojara from some local cousins of ours and we were not disappointed! Easy to find, easy to park. Staff all very attentive and accommodating. We would recommend to our friends.

My friends and I spent over 3 hours at this place, savoring all the different appetizers. I especially liked the Shrimp in a tamarind sauce, that only needed some bread or white rice to sop up the juicy sauce. Had I been home, I would have licked the plate. They make shrimp and langostino so many different ways, that you have to try them all. That's what we did!! I never even got a chance to look at the entrees. They have a specialty alcoholic drink called Cazuela that my friends loved. I am allergic to Tequila so I stayed away from it. I have to go back to give the entrees a shot. BUEN PROVECHO!!

This place it's so good I when whit my wife and we love it , they have Mariachi band on Saturdays and sunday, the service was extremely good and the food amazing Thanks for everything

Really great food and service. The shrimp appetizer plate was amazing. Great flavor, not spicy. The staff were all masked up and you were spaced apart from the other tables.

Very good authentic Mexican food. Has a large seafood menu. Staff is very friendly. Food is excellent. A wonderful place to eat.

Great authentic mexican food! Breakfast served all day. Exceptional chips and salsa. Refillable Horchata, that's a big deal. The service was awesome! I'll be back!

I ordered seafood, it was bad, didn't taste good at all. I told the waiter and it was a mistake because when I said I didn't want anything else he pretty much forced me to order something else for the same price, so I ordered a steak dish and after 35 min he brought me the steak by itself no sides at all. I asked about the sides and he said "well this steak is for free" which it wasn't, they replaced it for the bad seafood the gave me earlier. Then the waiter said, ok, let me see about your sides and he brought me a baked potato left by another customer and they gave it to me. It was disgusting so watch out for this nasty place. Here is a picture I took of a bake potato from another customer and the one the waiter brought me. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!

A wonderful Mexican restaurant. Very pleasant staff. Nice atmosphere. Food is authentic Mexican. Nice sized servings.

This place is special for any reason. Your attention, your food, the service.it is good place I will always taste your excellent food and recommend it, and especially take a good memory, like a photo taken by our friend Days .

Hit this place up after seeing it on a YouTube video of best Mexican places in Vegas. Kind of a let down given the hype. Very authentic Mexican vibe, even more so when the hostess did not speak English. Food was good, but not what I would call close to the best Mexican in Vegas. Service was very good. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I got the Ranchero pot meal. Came out with the sauce still boiling. Tasty meal, but biggest thing was the portion size. Unreal huge. Was eating the left overs for the next two meals.

Attended for dinner on a Friday night. Lots of activity with a roving Mariachi band and the restaurant was full. This restaurant features seafood but we took the conservative approach and ordered enchiladas. We have been here previously and really enjoyed our meals but were a tad disappointed this time. The enchiladas were a little dry but service was very good, so I can only blame my entrée choice...next time, seafood!

This was recommended to me by a Mexican so I had high expectations but... The place is bland, with no real vibe or ambience. The menus is a horrible old school picture menu & have the things on it were available. The service was hit & miss, with some staff attentive & helpful, others not. The food was okay, good, flavoursome but not exceptional. The spicy margerita was poor.

The food and service are great and I love the high school mariachi band. This is Mexican seafood elevated! Great drinks too.

Have dined here twice in the past. It was so enjoyable that we're returning there tomorrow night for a birthday celebration dinner. We live all the way across town, and there are about 60 decent mexican restaurants between our home and this one, but we're passing them all up for the exquisite cuisine of La Mojarra Loca. We're crazy about the mexican seafood dishes. The only downside is the too-loud wandering mariachi band.

The place itself is nice -- plenty of parking and right on a main thoroughfare of Maryland Parkway. So, easy to get to and away from the strip traffic but still less than a mole from the strip. I ordered a lobster dish that I enjoyed very much. So, why one three stars. One big mistake in the kitchen. My wife ordered salmon and it was cooked and presented just fine. But apparently it was grilled on the same grill that the beef, pork and other fish and meats were grilled and not cleaned in between the grillings. So, of course the fats from the other grillings ruined the nice piece of salmon. Also, Spanish is the primary language here and sometimes I had trouble communicating with the waiter, who was an excellent waiter. That was somewhat uncomfortable but not serious.

Great authentic Mexican food ! The seafood is fresh and seasoned perfectly. Its a best kept secret that locals flock to regularly! The service is excellent and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable! I highly recommend it if you like good fresh seafood served Mexican style or however you request!

Had dinner once and returned for lunch on another day during this trip to Vegas. I was thoroughly surprised at the freshness of the seafood since Vegas is not oceanside. The best bet there is the tacos El Gobernador. These tacos are delicious; they have just the right amount of cheese and spice. The Botana Playa de Carmen is also excellent and makes a great table appetizer for a group; the Chile lime butter is on target and the added corn and potatoes are flavorful. The enchiladas suizas, the beans, fajitas and costillas (flanken ribs) are also very good. Piña Coladas, Margaritas, Jamaica water, and Mexican Coke round out the meal perfectly. Dessert looked good but I didn’t order. Thumbs up on this location for good food and good service. By the way, the seafood here outperformed the seafood served at SW Steakhouse at the Wynn!

Thought I’d try this place having seen it for a couple years passing by. Should have kept passing by because this place SUCKS! Ordered the grilled steak tacos off their 12 page 3 pound menu (I’m serious, way too much on this menu). Mexican food is not that complicated. The chips and salsa were ok (meh..), but the waiter was brain dead inattentive. It was 110 degrees outside and still had to hunt down the waiter for some water. WTF?! The margarita on the rocks tasted ok, but was so full of ice that it was basically a $6.00 glass of ice cubes with some margarita mix thrown in. The food arrived and consisted of three very small tortillas with burned tasteless meat, a bunch of onions and the oh-so Kalifornia typical pile of cilantro (not authentic Mexican). The side of bland refried beans tasted like they came from Sunrise Hospital’s cafeteria and the side of white steamed rice with peas, carrots, corn and other assorted BS must have come from the Chinese dive next door. Anyway, the whole experience was mucho horrible and revolting and I won’t be back.....EVER!

Excellent service, a pleasant atmosphere, and not to mention THEIR FOOD, delicious and as if that were not enough, the photographer Mrs. Days could not be missing, excellent work and a memory that will never be forgotten 👍

Table had mixed reviews but I thought my spicey pork dish was excellent. Chips and salsa was very good also. We were brought here by a local Mexican friend and place was busy during weekday. I enjoyed would return and recommend. Portions were good food tasted good. Had a mariachi band playing. A bit off the strip. Worth the trip.

Great place, amazing music and delicious food! We took Claire's photos as a souvenir, highly recommended

We chose this restaurant, for lunch, by happen chance as we were visiting a music shop nearby. What a find. Good Mexican fare specialising in seafood. We ordered via recommendations of the waiter - fantastic. We paired the food with Modelo Negra beer. Any future visit to LV will include dinner at this restaurant.

OMG.... Why am I just finding this restaurant after 2 years of residing in Vegas. There is not a bad dish on the menu. We've tried so much in the last week and EVERYTHING was delicious. Shrimp, crab legs, chicken, steak, and guacamole.. you name it, it's alllll so good. Our waiteress Zarita provided PHENOMENAL service, both visits. We will be regulars, for certain!

We visited this restaurant on a whim. What a find! Husband had shrimp ceviche that he described as delicious. The menu is incredible with its offerings and pictures of the entrees. Every dish is authentic and practically made before your eyes! Even the Mexican porcelain sinks in the restaurants are authentic and beautiful. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for non chain cuisine in a comfortable surrounding.

Best of the Best, pleasant atmosphere to enjoy with your partner, your friends, excellent service, the most typical food I have tasted, and as if it were not enough to take a good memory of my favorite photographer is, Days excellent person, and I will return to the wet, delicious food. The hurt.

The food was standard fare. Nothing great just flavorless re-heated food from the can. The rest of the one star comes from the deafening mariachi fiesta noise coming from the screaming “singers”. They spent a good hour working a large group of 12 for tips. Another annoying clown was snapping photos of patrons at their table attempting to hustle some extra $$$. I felt like I was at some slimy Disneyland money grab experience. Anyway, the whole ordeal was miserable memory of bad food, ringing ears and a migraine headache.

The entire service was excellent, everyone was very friendly 😀.. I also wanted to thank JOSÉ, the restaurant's photographer, for the photos, which were excellent 🖼️. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED TO THE PUBLIC.

I live next to this restaurant on Maryland and Sahara. Please drive around and see how nasty is the back of restaurant and all the dirty sewage coming from the kitchen. Smells nasty. Plus when you order food to go they always mess up your order. The food quality is bad and when you complain the manager lady will treat you rude and laugh at your face. Avoid this place.

Very good food, known for its fish and seafood. We had fish tacos and chicken tacos and both were very good. Wish we could try even more dishes which looked great going to other tables. Our meal was $34 for 2 with soda. Amazing and GOOD.

This place me, and my friends just happened to pick because I was close to the convention center. And boy were we glad we picked it! You can tell that it is authentic as soon as you walk in. There was a lot of people waiting to be seated and this was on a weekday. They said we would have to wait 45 minutes, but we decided to just go to one of the tables at the bar as there was no wait there. My other friend, who was with me, said that she had tried to go a couple times, and they were always busy. So definitely make a reservation in advance! There’s a Merriachi band and a magician, waiting to entertain. The music is hopping! And as soon as you walk in, you can smell the authentic cuisine! A little jalepeno peppery, but good! My friend had a Mojito that she said was delicious! We also had the guacamole, seafood, shrimp, soup, one cheese, and Chilada, and one beef enchilada, and the salmon! All of our food was delicious! The service was really good but at the end he wasn’t around as much so it took a while to pay but it was all good we were catching up and the food was delicious! They also serve sushi which I love that they do this because it’s so different! I will definitely be back when I work my next, Trade show there!

Awesome refried beans and salsa. Very friendly - host/hostesses and server. Extensive menu. Recommend asking Brii to make a selection for you.

Every time I visit Las Vegas I go back to this restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. I was in Vegas for four days and we visited La Mojarra twice. The last day we ordered a variety of different dishes to share between the three of us. - Camorones Zarandeados shrimp - Pollo Poblano - tacos Enchilados All I can say is wow. Along with the fresh flour and corn tortilla's, it was an amazing dinner. The next day we had dinner at the Capital Grille on the strip and we all agreed that La Mojarra was much more enjoyable and significantly less expensive. I will be back

Wonderful ambiance and delicious food plates for all day meals. The service was superb and the dishes were tasty. We visited for breakfast and all of us in our party enjoyed our meals.

The worst experience of my life. I have no words, very poor quality food and bad taste. High prices for lousy food quality. They threw a whole jug of ice water on me and brought me a kitchen towel to dry. Most horrible thing I've ever seen. I do not recommend it, especially for tourists it is not a good place!!!! The worst experience of my life. I have no words, very bad quality food and bad taste. High prices for the poor quality of the food. They threw a whole pitcher of ice water on me and brought me a tea towel to dry me off. The worst Thiago I have ever seen. I don't recommend it, especially for tourists, it's not a good place. !!!!!

Great Mexican seafood here. I love their "mojarra loca" dish. I also enjoyed the mangocheladas. We make sure to stop by at least once when we come to Vegas.

Enjoying life is eating with special pleasure, in contrast when you do it with your friends and that is achieved is in the crazy wetland, here in Vegas, excellent service, delicious food, and a good memory from our favorite photographer, Mrs. Days, come and have a nice time, in the crazy wetland. DERVIS HURTGUE.

Can't describe the flavor on their food.. everything is so delicious.. If you are looking for a seafood restaurant, this is your place.. come and get the shrimp ceviche and the enchilados shrimp tacos.. definitely I will come back..

Came in for dinner. Found the place to be clean and well taken care of The chips and salsa are very hot and they don’t have a medium or any other salsa except for tomato sauce lol for those not into burning your mouth Menu is very big with mostly seafood choices We had Molcajetes with steak chicken and chorizo which was eatable at best being in the tough side. We also had fish and shrimp tacos along with crab enchiladas which were the tastiest. Service was good. Unfortunate neighborhood is not that great with homeless people asking for money soon as you exit the restaurant

Now with four local locations, the original on Maryland Parkway almost universally with a wait from noon until close, La Mojarra Loca Grill is a rarity in Las Vegas that continues to thrive with no reservations, no website and no handouts to “influencers,” “content creators” and others. Popular with local Hispanics, live music and festive directions paired to friendly service, it was as a party of eleven that a guest’s 60th birthday was celebrated at a long table where Food was as plentiful as the bottles of Modelo served in ice buckets. Trendy without being excessive, the bar a raucous affair complete with Happy Hour, La Mojarra Loca Grill’s menu spans from traditional Mexican Food to unique Sushi items that seem less out of place once one sees an enormous plate of Ceviche or punchbowl Coctel de Camaron. Generous with Chips and Salsa, the later packing a punch, Drinks include a multitude of Margaritas alongside inspired options such as a Rumchata Colada that helps quell the heat of Appetizers such as the Mussels cooked in vibrant Sauce. Not overlooking Oysters topped in citrusy-Shrimp, a signature for good reason, Entrees range from famous grilled Prawns and Burritos to grilled Meats or faultless Molcajete served in several styles and sizes for prices about 1/3 what one might pay on Las Vegas Boulevard.

The shrimp ceviche tacos, huevos rancheros, chorizo breakfast, chorizo burrito, and beans were loved by all. Their flour and corn tortillas were amazing. The chilaquiles verde were not that good. The atmosphere is nice. Multiple TVs with World Cup playing. Our favorite drinks and some wild looking ones as well as dishes. Service was great!!

Excellent food and large portions. Maths are great too. Be sure to stop by and eat there. You won't be sorry. Burritos, mil sheet trio were both highly recommended.

Margaritas were the best I’ve ever had!! This is worth the stop for good Mexican food. The service and atmosphere were also great.

Authentic Mexican food and with a great atmosphere and staff. Place was hopping but times we went. Menu has a lot of options and the margaritas were great

We found this place quite by accident. It is located in the corner of a tiny strip mall. We were there about 4 o’clock and had no trouble getting a table but by 530 all the tables were full. The service was very good and the staff eager to please. The clientele there appeared to be primarily local unlike ourselves who were from out of town/out of country. It was quite busy for a weeknight but not surprising as the food was terrific. Instead of a complementary bread basket you were given some nachos and dip which was a little spicy but very tasty. My husband had the fish taco and I had a marinated line – seafood combination which was excellent. The portion sizes are good and the value is excellent! I would highly recommend a visit.

Two of us went here last night (tuesday). We had never been there before and thought we would try it out as we drove by. Since I am half Mexican, I obviously don't turn down a chance to eat Mexican food when I have the chance. Well we get there and get sat rather quickly. It is approximately 8:15pm. They bring menus and salsa & chips to the table. The salsa is not good at all. I would never go back just for this reason alone, no matter the cost (which is way too high). The salsa is like dipping your chip into red water. Not a single piece of anything, and not thick either. It is strange. Literally it was like dipping your chip into red water that is spicy. Nothing will stay on the chip. I've had smooth salsas before but they are thick enough that you can get some on the chip. Anyways... The menu is like 8 pages long. It is wayyyy too long. And the first two thirds pages are for items with langostino or shrimp. Upsell! Wow. So the last two pages have the typical Mexican foods like burritos, quesadillas, and such. This was the first Mexican food restaurant I had been to that had a menu item for $30! I got the asada quesadilla for $11 and my friend got the enchiladas de res (beef) for $14. My quesadilla was good, and probably ok with it being $11. But really it needed more cheese. They put enough meat but there were gaps in the middle with no meat OR cheese. This may be normal on the outlying parts of the tortilla, but in the middle?!?! My friend's enchiladas were not good. I did taste them. The sauce was way too acidic (red sauce) the beef inside had zero flavor other than that of meat. Not sure if there was even salt, but for sure tasted as if no spices, nothing. He loves enchiladas and he didn't eat them all. Not because too much food, but because after the lousy salsa and lousy service and lousy food he just wanted to leave. OH! the service! A female waited on us. She took our order, got it wrong. My friend asked for double beans, no rice. She repeated it, said ok, then the guy brought regular beans and rice. As soon as he dropped it off, she asked how our food was, he tried to tell her that he wanted only beans, but couldn't. As she kept walking by as she asked. She didn't stop as to get an actual answer. She never came back by the entire time. We tried to flag her down for more water, finally a male waiter got it for us. She was too busy cleaning tables, sweeping under tables, refilling items on empty tables. Not sure, but maybe they close at 9pm and she wanted out at exactly 9pm? Don't waste your time going there, too pricey, not good, service was lousy.

Were recommended this place and was a great place for seafood and Micheladas. We had a total of five different dishes from ceviche to camarones rellenos (bacon wrapped shrimp) and plus the service was on target as well. Definitely recommend this place for fresh and great seafood.

Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time especially the seafood oh my goodness to die for I have some pictures hopefully you guys Will enjoy when you visit this place

I have eaten here twice now. My new girlfriend and I just had our first meal here and it won't be the last. It was one of the best dining experiences I have had in Vegas. My GF had the Shrimp Salad and I had the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. So fresh and tasty. My first trip here I had the Seafood Molcajete. It was outstanding too. This is a very lively, fun place to eat, and they serve some very SERIOUS food.

A group of us went for dinner and cocktails. The food and drinks were authentic and tasty. They also have a kids menu with a variety of options. We will definitely be going back! Do yourself a favor and order a Molcajetes! This is a family sized meal. It says for 2 people, but with chips, salsa, tortillas, beans and rice, it fed our family of 3 with leftovers. A Molcajete is a traditional stone dish that is used to grind spices. The dish is heated and comes with a bubbly spicy sauce and is arranged with 3 different types of meat, cheese, cactus, avocado, and green onions that you eat with tortillas (think deconstructed fajitas).

This was our first time to the mojarra grilled and we really enjoyed the food, the services was good to but a little off at times, I will have to say it was extremely busy and they still allowed us to come in at 9:45pm and they close at 10:00pm. we had the Aguachiles and the camarones sarandiados and really liked them. The places is not really a cheap eat but I think it’s worth the prices I was surprised at our final check price but again the food was good

They've been on dirty dining one too many times. Definitely not going back to either restaurant (they have 3 locations) I've tried all locations and at all three I've had bad experiences with the food. I've always ordered carne asada plate or the molcajete with meat and its ALWAYS undercooked. I like my steak cooked well. I don't like the fact that they undercook my food. What if I were to order chicken!? With that said good luck if you choose to eat there.

I liked this place. Very taste food, nice place.its good for families. It has live music. I recommend that place.

My son and I were in Las Vegas visiting a sick friend at Sunrise Hospital! We became hungry and went searching for a place to eat. As luck would have it, we found the finest, funniest and friendliest place ever. Give this place a try and you will not regret it! Superb!!!

Love this place! Food is authentic and flavorful hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas. Their seafood is fresh

I'd visited LA mojara loca twice during my trip in Vegas I could tell you that the service was excellent friendly staff. Food was excellent you gotta try it out if you're in Las Vegas the prices are very reasonable you won't regret it.

The food was authentic seafood Mexican, that’s all, Just kidding! mariscos aka seafood at this place is so good. The salsa that is served with the chips is authentic salsa mexicana non of that diced tomatoes crap served in others. They use Chile Perón, also the beans are Peruvian - yum! The drinks are good too. I’m a foodie for sure.
Mexican Seafood at a good price!
Walking into the place, the smells from the kitchen draw you in farther. Guacamole was best I have ever had. Perhaps it was the amount of lemon they added. Salsa has the perfect amount of heat for me. The shrimp tacos and shrimp past were excellent. The child’s pasta plate was huge. Enchiladas were also very good. Only downside was the service was slow. Waitstaff very nice but they were not too attentive. Food more than made up for service.
