Very nice clean restaurant. Our server was very polite and attentive and the food was excellent. They also have a side of the restaurant that you can walk in and order to go. The food was so good that we ate at the restaurant and ordered a whole chicken to go!

It's the second time I go and must say that the service and food were outstanding. Family run and with clean attentive personnel, it was a joy to stop by and have lunch with my relatives. We had the Ceviche Mixto, Choritos A La Chalaca and shared Lomo Saltado and Tallarin Saltado. These last two dishes were large enough that we could share easily. The server suggested this, when I know she could have suggested we just order a plate each. As with all Peruvian restaurants in Miami, and I guess it's some kind of odd habit, they routinely charge 15% tip on the bill. Other times, this has upset me; however, this is the first time that I do not mind paying the tip, because the service was so deserving of it. I think it's the first time in a Miami Peruvian restaurant that I don't frown upon the "mandatory" tip that they impose on you. Most definitely any other restaurant, of any kind does not charge you for the tip. It's one of those peruvian habits, to insure they get your money. Especially when the service is just poor and uncaring. I would definitely recommend La Perla to anyone visiting or living in the South Miami Area. I've had the most pleasant experience since 1992 when I moved here.

No doubt about it. I have been to many peruvian restaurants and this is te best ever. The quality of the ingredients, everything is fresh, shrimps are huge, the tastes are an unforgettable experience. And the best part: It is what i would call an "unassuming" place. I mean it could be very expensive because the food is top notch, however, prices are mid-range. The staff is extremely friendly and atentive. The best they have: Causa, Jalea, Lomo Salteado, Ceviches and for dessert Picarones! You wont regret it!!

This an amazing family owned restaurant... The family that owns the restaurant is so nice and hospitable... I love going here.. Recently they came out in the news and I have to tell you that this family in my opinion was wrongly accused by people trying to take advantage and make a fast dollar.... I recommend this place and I must tell you the food here is amazing and for a very very reasonable price..

It's expensive but the food is good. I love ceviche and this is the best option nearby my house. Also have tried tacu-tacu and some calamari, not bad.

This place happens to serve in my opinion one of the best tacu tacu in the kendall area. Tacu tacu is a traditional Peruvian dish made with white rice that it is fried with navy beans and flatten getting a thin crispy side but yet soft. You can chose any meat to go with this rice such as churrasco, fish, chicken, lomo saltado. My favorite being the churrasco meat which is pricey. But its my favorite dish. I have never eaten inside but i always order for take out. The restaurant is on the expensive side especially if you order seafood or churrasco but the food is delicious. Great flavor. Their pick up station is efficient, only once did they mess up my order in the many years I have been a patron. Their dessert suspiro is so creamy and delicious, I definitely recommend trying it for yourselves.

I love this place! unique dishes but not crazy. Casual and inexpensive but fresh and delicious. Can't wait to get back to visit again!!!

Just got back from vacation and this was our first stop. Needed the ceviche that is so good. Try the jalea mixta, lomo saltado o tallarines a la Huancaina . You can’t go wrong. Our favorite hole in the wall

I like the jalea very much. I like the fact that is served differently thah other places. The fried calamaries were at there point not over fried. Fresh taste..

Peruvian at its best... Delicious dishes! Tallarines verdes (green spaghetti) was amazing! The pollo saltado has a combination of flavors that is so delicious! Even the chicharrones de pollo (breaded with panko) are too good not to order. Service was great. Seeing the place packed and non-stop take outs confirms food is amazing! A bit pricey, but worth trying. Love this little spot in Kendall!

The food tasted better than what I had in Peru! (Probably due to the availability of better ingredients). The portions were large, but a bit pricey for the informal feel of the place. It was clean with attentive wait staff. The shopping center parking lot was a zoo on a Saturday and we had to circle twice before finding a spot.

I have been to this restaurant about 3-4 times, as always the place, ambiance and food were very good as always, but the best thing this restaurant are the servers and service. Never had any issues, they are always attentive and courteous. The only issue and I do not have a problem with is that they add the service and do not say anything, I always give a little more because the service is that good.

I stumbled accross this gem a little bit by accident. I am a great fan of ceviche and was in the area so Tripadvisor pointed to this place. I was not disapointed. I only ordered ceviche Mixto ( under $18 ) and it was great. I am not one qho favor quantity over quality but here I received both. A nice serving of white fish, thinly sliced octupus, good sized shrimps and 4 mussels in their shells. All was very fresh, very tasty, spicy ( the waiter asked if spicy was ok ). The server was very nice and helpful. Finally, you know it's a real Peruvian restaurant when people are only drinking Inka Cola and Cusquena...

I was surprised to taste one super fresh, tasty shrimp and fish ceviche. Very good portions. Friendly and down to earth atmosphere where you will find good seafood. They mean it when they say it's spicy.

While this restaurant has a Miami address it is located in a suburb outside the city. My husband and I were in the mood for seafood and never having tried Peruvian food asked our waiter for a recommendation. After discussing several options we decided on the Chaufa de Mariscos (Seafood fried rice) and Camarones al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp). Wish I could find a superlative that did justice to these two dishes. The first was loaded with a wide variety of fresh shellfish and bite size pieces of white fish mixed in a flavorful fried rice with vegetables. The second dish had large shrimp that was cooked to perfection served in a tasty sauce. Come hungry because portions are generous. The restaurant was extremely busy and still our waiter, Renato, had great patience as we deliberated on what to eat and was attentive to our needs throughout our dining experience.

Their food is so delicious! From the spicy sauce to the bread to the main dish! It is very tasteful and well combined. The service is excellent, superb! So good, just a bit pricey.

Went this weekend and had the Ceviche, Seco and Lomo saltado everything was so tasteful. The service was great and Raul one of the waiters made sure that we felt right at home.

This is an excellent peruvian food restaurant, where I used to go many times and they always kept good food and service also the quantities served for the price were a good relation quality-quantity-price. Always I will be back, highly recommended.

Their food is excellent, a bit pricey though. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Great variety and combination of ingredients. Their spicy sauce is amazing.. Don't over do it!

What can I say but amazing food, I had the jalea (fried seafood) and it was fresh n taste full and a huge portion. Also had a ceviche mixto and also delicious. portions are big and prices are fair.. service was good but a little slow. def recommend it.

I love Peruvian food and specialty the pollo saltado. The food was delicious and the taste of the salsa amazing. It's a little expensive but worth the wait and money. I'll definitely visit it again when I go to Miami

The owners son was just arrested for having cameras in the bathroom pointed at the toilet! Do not go here!

The servers were excellent and the food surprisingly good. The soup was enough for a meal but then I was given chicken, sweet potato and beans all for $16. I left stuffed and impressed.

My mother loves it's authentic and genuine CRIOLLO dishes coupled with superb service. I have to thank them for introducing my wife and I to Peruvian cuisine. The JALEA is always fresh, seafood is perfectly seasoned and criollo onions are just delicious 😀 We highly recommend the Ceviches, Tacu Tacu and Tallarines Verdes!!!!!!!🍴🍴🍴

We ordered the fried mixed seafood, and mixed cerviche. Absolutely wonderful. The fried seafood was lightly coated and came with a sauce similar to tartar sauce and freshly cut limes. The cerviche was perfectly seasoned. Suspiero which is similar to a flan but a little lighter with a whipped topping. Yummy. Our waiter was spot on for service and recommendations. Will be back for sure.

We first visited a month ago for lunch. My wife had the poached fish special. It was a perfectly poached filet with a mildly garlicly sauce that offered a hint of curry flavor served with rice. The dish was amazing. I had the Lomo Saltado which was strips of seared steak served over fries with a fabulous black pepper sauce. The warm bread brought to the table was served with a spicy green cucumber dip was oh so tasty. The only "cocktail" on the menu was the Pisco Sour which was good if rather small. We also tried the Ceviche Mixto Medio Picante (medium hot). While very good, the medio picante still offered quite a kick. Just a few weeks later we returned and ordered -- and enjoyed immensely -- the same entrees again. The food offers a great flavor explosion so enticing that we will go out of our way to visit again the next time we are in Miami.

I'm a regular at La Perla, there hasn't been one disappointing dish so far and I've been dining there for years now. Outstanding ceviches, seafood and heavenly lomo saltado. You must try their causas. Signature "Picada La Perla" is served in a wooden boat, full of seafood items as only the Peruvians know how to prepare. "Pollo A La Brasa" is excellent, moist, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Soups are hearty, expertly prepared and to die for as their tallarines. Their varied chaufas are marvelous as well.

Their Pollo a la Brasa is outstanding. Great value. Their Cebiche & Lomo Saltado could use some improvement. The Lomo could use more meat..."where's the beef?" I could almost count the number of beef strips on my plate LOL! The "Jalea" on the other hand is amazing. Restaurant could use a bar area for sitting next to the TV. Their take-out area is very easily accessible - great restaurant for take-out. Very limited selection of wine...music selection is always great. Menu needs more "new" items - getting tired of ordering the same items...

This is one of those restaurants that may not be as appealing by the look of it because it is in a strip shopping center with no fancy signs, However; the experience is awesome. Their food taste just like what I experienced in Peru on a trip a few years ago. it is very good, serves reasonably fast. even though I thing the waitresses are overworked they still give you a nice smile and courteous attention. btw, did I say that the food is awesome? well, yes it is. you will want to tell a friend and come back. Great experience!. extensive menu. Loved it!

Always amazing food , good portions and great flavor . We have been coming here for years and the food is always great !

Great food. Wonderful server who knew that we were unfamiliar with the food. He guided us through the menu and all of us (5) were very pleases with the quantity and quality of the food. The jalapeño cream served the bread was a special find.

Went last I went with my husband and it was better than ever. It was late so didn't want to eat anything too heavy (Peruvian food could be heavy specially late at night) so we opted for the rotisserie chicken with salad and fries. and an order of choclo a la huancaina (huge kernels of Peruvian corn and a creamy cheese and chili sauce) the meal was espectacular, very satisfying (didn't have room for my favorite "Bavarois de guindones- make sure to try it if you ever go) and inexpensive. (We took home 1/2 a chicken) the service was very good. Again I know Peruvian food is the latest fad so if your are I. The Miami area go to the suburbs of Miami not the beach or downtown. This was real Peruvian by the Metro Zoo.

The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. My whole family was very satisfied with their meal. I especially loved the chicken and the white beans, yummy.

All good, service excellent, drinks were delicious and the food was fantastic. If you like Mexican you will absolutely love Peruvian as it is like the difference between Thai and Winn Dixie Chinese. Just start with one of the house favorites, you will be delighted. No hard liquor.

I ordered a takeout. I paid almost $62. They refused to correct the order. I didn't ask for a refund and it was never offered. I only wanted the order corrected. The refused! I will never spend another penny there.

This is an exelent restaurant , delicious food ,pretty good ceviche , good service , if you like peruvian food , you got to try this restaurant !!!

The location and venue does not say much but the service and food it is amazing. We ordered La Jalea. WOW !!!!!! The seafood was fresh and it was cooked perfectly. The combination of flavors was superb. I ordered Ceviche Vuelve a la Vida. Over one pound of seafood with roasted corn. It really brought me back to life. My wife ordered the Lomo Saltado and these guys are not shy. The brought her one pound of French fries, one pound of steak and sauted onions and tomatoes. What a combination. I ate it and I loved it. Next time, I will try their Pollo a la brazas!!!

A friend told me to try the ceviche here. It certainly ranks in the top 2, that I have had. The food was plentiful and great. The service was friendly and attentive. Worth a visit.

Love all the food in this place! The best in Peruvian food in Kendall. Customer service is good and the atmosphere is good. There is something missing that I can't define... but I like this place and I recommend !

I was definitely in the mood to eat some Ceviche. This place is a little pricey but OMG so worth it in my opinion. The service is always great and the food is always so delicious. This is great for a first date or just hanging out with the family.

They had great Ceviche and Lomo Saltado, but the Pisco Sours were the best I'd ever had, including in Peru.

Highly recommend ! Went because it was close to our hotel. We were warmly greeted and treated very kindly the whole time. The food was very good and very hot. Our server Johnny was the best. It is a well run establishment and looks to be very popular with locals. We will definitely return when we are back in the area.

Whenever I go to Florida I try to visit as many Peruvian restaurants as possible since we don't have that many in New York. La Perla is terrific, very helpful staff, and delicious food. Their seafood rice dish is to die for. Highly recommend!

We went for lunch time, the service was pretty fast, the speak english or Spanish (some other local Peruvian place only speak Spanish) The ceviche was really good and a good size, the taku taku was ok, but I think they are a little bit to expensive for the location. I pay the same amount I pay for the ceviche in Miami Beach or Downtown, with out the nice location, with out the valet parking or things to do after you eat.

Very good restaurant with excellent service. The place is simple but the food is very tasty. The prices are good and so as the size of the portions.

This is one of the best place to eat ceviche. Its a little off the beat in a shopping center, dont get turn off by it. The staff is helpful if you never had Peruvian food ask.

good place to visit when you are tired of all the options around the neighborhood. always fresh. can be a bit pricey.

Showed up on a Saturday night while on a business trip, and the restaurant was pretty packed. I was greeted and seated quickly, and my server Alex took my drink order immediately. The crowd was family-oriented, and there was a lot of friendly back-and-forth between the customers and the staff - usually a sign of a regular clientele and an experienced staff. As a stranger and someone eating alone, I noticed this; what I didn't expect was for them to include me so readily. Asking Alex for a recommendation on the ceviche, he gave a frank assessment of the various choices and didn't push the highest price item. The ceviche was excellent, with a generous portion and nice presentation, albeit a bit different than the ceviche I was accustomed to. I asked if it was a Peruvian version, and he proudly explained that it was. Upon hearing that it was my first time having Peruvian food, he thanked me for trying it and visiting them, and brought some corn snacks to also try. Later, a different waiter came by and asked how my experience with the Peruvian cuisine was going, as well as thinking me for trying it out with them - they had obviously shared the news and we're keeping an eye on me in the best possible way. Afterwards I was satisfied, but wanted to try something else Peruvian. I asked Alex about dessert, and he said, "I've got this! If you don't like it, you don't pay for it." He then proceeded to bring out an amazing wobbly meringue confection, with caramel and currants, that I had never had anything similar to. One of the other waiters explained how it was made and that it was "popular in Paris and Peru" - an import adopted and adapted, apparently, and an outstanding finish for the meal. When I left, Alex shook my hand and thanked me again for coming in. I have seldom felt as comfortable and welcomed in an unfamiliar place, and recommend it for the delightful food, kind service, and warm atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our visit to La Perla. The ceviche was fresh and delicious, the seafood soup was the highlight of the meal, and the shrimp stuffed fish outstanding. The service was very attentive, and we were treated to a sample of a "purple corn" drink. Exceeded expectations on every level.

I decided to visit La Perla after reading that Milos' Executive Chef Josh Wahler had listed it as one of his top 5 favorite restaurants in Miami. When you realize how far La Perla is from South Beach you have to say to yourself this has to be damn good. Well thank you to Chef Wahler and thank you to Miami.com for the interview because I am now a converted regular. I went in on a Saturday night for take out and the place was packed. I was surprised that the place is actually known for it's pollo la braza but I was there for the ceviche. One of my favorite things about the place was the waiter in the takeout area. I guess this section serves as an overflow for the dining room on busy nights. I told him I wanted to try the ceviche and he hooked me up. Fish ceviche medium spicy. I ordered 2 one for me and my friend. I took them home and within 10 minutes we were digging in. As I hoped the fish was extremely fresh and the portion was big. I wouldn't say it was cheap but rather fair. It had the perfect amount of spice and overall it hit the spot totally. I've been back several times this month each time ordering with the same waiter and the same room. I've actually tried the chicken since and it too is the real deal. I give the place5 stars for those 2 dishes and now include it in my regular rotation of weekly spots. Thanks again Chef!!!

Our favorite Peruvian restaurant. Family type service with great food. The ceviche is awesome and if you like seafood order the Jalea mixta. If you are more of a meat eater you won't go wrong with the Lomo Saltado or just try the chicken

This place is a good place to eat if your in the mood for some real seafood. Good atmosphere, the test of dishes are explosive. Nice place if you just want to relax, enjoy a drink and eat seafood, a must visit.

We happened upon this restaurant while searching for something else. Since it was getting late and we'd never eaten Peruvian before we decided to give it a try. Loved the fried corn that was brought to the table as a starter. We had no idea what to order, so the waiter suggested Jalea Mixta Personal and Lomo Saltado de carne. Both we delicious but I especially loved the Jalea Mixta Personal. It was huge and could have fed us both. The waiter was so friendly to us and to all who came in the door, wish I remembered his name. Not sure when I'll get back to Miami but will definitely come here again if possible.

we went there with friends, had really great time. food was excellent, service was great, definitely come back there again

This place is excellent. A little more expensive than other Peruvian restaurants, but you get the value for what you pay. I got tallarin saltado de carne, and believe the plate was enough for two people, but I ate it my self..delicious....We tried the new one located in Weston. I really recommended it.

Peruvian Restaurants and Peruvian People know what quality food and customer service is all about. This is a must experience; you'll go back again.

One of the best Peruvian food at Miami. A family place to share good food and great service. We try to go every month

This is a large bright place with a big photo of Lima on the wall. The waiter was friendly and super helpful. The service was fast. All the food was perfect. We split a Mixed Ceviche. This was fresh and flavorful. We also shared a Seafood Mariscos. This was a mixture of seafood served on a bed of rice. This also was topnotch. We finished sharing a delightful Bavarois, which was a light egg white meringue covered with a Bavarian Creme. This was absolutely outstanding.

Our server, Alejandro, was one of the kindest, patient, and attentive servers I’ve ever had. He helped us select our meals. I ordered the shrimp risotto and it was one of the best things I’ve EVER eaten! My dad ordered a shrimp dish and was very happy with his meal as well. Since Alejandro did such a great job helping us with our meals, we had him select a dessert for us - which was heavenly! We’ll definitely be back!

Great food, lovely service. Everything we had tasted delicious. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. Pincha morada is a great new taste ww discovered here.

There is such a good restaurant in West Kendall. A bit hard to find but well worth the search, divine ceviche and the best roast chicken I have ever had. A hidden gem.

This place was very good when it opened and the quality has gone down and recipes changed on some items. Hope they step it up because it doesn't get as busy as it usto.

We will definitely put this place on the list of our favourite restaurants! Our waiter was the most helpful and kind person ever and recommended amazing local dishes and beverages! It was such a nice discovery of Peruvian cuisine! We loved it and would highly recommend it!

Most excellent Peruvian food. The mixed seafood platter is outrageous and super generous. You have to try the Peruvian beef fried rice, which is much better tasting than any Chinese fried rice I've ever had. I am also a big fan of the cau-cau, as you do not often see tripe dishes in restaurants. Their home-made green chili sauce is outstanding. This is Peruvian food at its best and should not be missed if you're in the area.

If you like Peruvian Food, this is a must go experience. Great tasty authentic cooking in a very pleasant atmosphere with excellent attentive service. Food portions are geberous, presentations are attractive, prices are very reasonable. Staff is great. Enjoy.

Sunday I went with some friends(4) for lunch. We ordered " Seafood Jalea" -it's a variety of lightly fried shrimp, calamari and fish. Served with pickled red onion, and tarter sauce. We also ordered " chicken chaufa"-which is like Chinese fried rice with chicken. I don't like the fish but this fish was good. We really liked everything! It was delicious ! These portions were enough for all of us. The only thing that was ordered that I did not like was " purple chicha"-it's a drink with cinnamon and cloves. Tasted like medicine. The restaurant looks clean and the service was good.

We visit this restaurant every time we are in the Miami area. Typically we love the food. The ceviches are delicious, as well as the rotisserie chicken, lomo saltado and soups. We placed a carry out order which included 3 whole chickens and a family size shrimp fried rice. The shrimp fried rice was almost $30.00 and had a total of only 10 shrimp. The rest was only rice. Very disappointing. I would never order this dish again and would caution others not to order as well.

This restaurant serves great food. I tried the anticuchos which were delicious and the papa la huancaina, both were great! This restaurant is a little pricy but it worth it. It has been renovated and looks great!

Even though its a simple restaurant the food is the best peruvian food in miami by far. It's also reasonably priced. The service is outstanding. I have been to 10 peruvia restaurants in south florida and have not found a match in value.

I enjoyed the many different preparations of raw fish and the interesting sauces. It's in a strip mall which is just OK.

To begin this review I must say I love peruvian food , I've been in a lot of peruvian's and this is something out of this world !! I just recomend you to try it if you like good food !!!

Fantastic ceviche and a paradise for seafood lovers. The chicken with rice and fries is a basic but delicious meal. Chinese rice is very good as well

We dropped by unexpectedly because we were going someplace else and when we looked in the window the place was packed. To me that’s a great sign most of the times, and this time it proved to be so. The food was delicious and the service from Luar was amazing, he went above and beyond with his way of service. He made great suggestions based on what we felt like eating that day and was super. The ambiance is very pleasant and the prices are good for such great quality of food. We highly recommend this restaurant and if you drop by ask for Luar you will be very happy.

We order out from La Perla once a week! They have the best lomo saltado I have ever tasted. My husband loves their pollo a la parilla. Definitely the place to go for good Peruvian food
The Best Peruvian in Miami!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Peruvian food and eat at every restaurant that I find, but none compare to LaPerla. The Fried Rice and Shrimp is to die for!! Their chicken is so good that I have it had catered to our family events at home. The side dishes - try all of them, they are all unique to Peru and are mouth watering! You will not be disappointed!!
