We had their Tuesday specials beef and chicken. Dry/ flavorless and the red beans were not worth eating. Creme brûlée for dessert - the scorched sugar on top was so hard we could barely break through to eat it. Service was poor.

This is a small little place tucked in were you would not look. But the food is great service quick. They make a good drink and have a little wine to pick from. The is just what you want when in Miami.

Recommended by our concierge. Conch fritters and potato fritters were amazing. Had conch fritters first time in Antigua. These did not disappoint. Portions are very large. You could easily share. Sides of black beans and rice equally as good. Would highly recommend this if your in Miami area. We were close to airport and hotel drive us there so not exactly sure where it's located.

They have a luncheon menu. Numerous choices. I had the fish of the day, choice of salad or choice of two soups with two sides. Also choice is dessert. My companion and I ordered different items and shared. All delightful! We’re sure to return next time we’re in Miami!!!

Our return visit after a few years was not quite as memorable. Last visit we enjoyed the live music, which we did not have last night. Four of us shared paella for three, which we ordered ahead of time, since it takes an hour to prepare. Just call by phone to schedule your paella. Even ordering three for four diners, there were leftovers. Each order contains a lobster tail, so an order for three includes three lobster tails. Service is good and parking lot surrounds the restaurant. A Groupon is currently available, which lowers the already reasonable bill even more.

Wonderful Cuban Cuisine in little Havana. We needed a break from travel nightmares. The plantain chips were amazing. The drinks were great and the food was very good.

My husband and I chose to eat at La Rosa, on the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel!! Oh I am so glad we listened!! The food here is phenomenal!! From fried plantains chips to The Roppa Vieja ! The food was amazing the service was impeccable the white linen tablecloth and the atmosphere made you feel as though you were in Havana!! This is a must see while in Miami!! Don’t let the outside fool you!! It is completely worth going to

Not your typical "cuban cafeteria" this is really an amazing spot, good price, good drinks and quality food "fine cusiene " Came here for networking event and everyone was fascinated with this spot!

We enjoyed dinner at this 50 year old restaurant. The portions are large and very reasonably priced. The Arroz con Pollo was mouthwatering delicious an my husband throughly enjoyed the Carne de Puerco a La Rosa. Neither of us could finish our meal. Happily our hotel has a fridge and we brought back our leftovers. The total bill before tip was $49 and included one glass of wine, a tamale appetizer and one dessert. We look forward to the next time we are in Miami because we will definitely be eating here again.

We ate here this evening after finding the restaurant near to our hotel, The Regency. It was excellent! The food was incredible, the service was fast, friendly, and attentive, and the atmosphere was great for talking and sharing plates. My friends and family and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Whenever you are flying through Miami Int'l, if staying overnight or if you have time when arriving to Miami Int'l, stop in for a nice, upscale and relaxed Cuban meal. A quaint "old school - style", white tablecloth, live piano music and great, friendly waiters all make this an experience, not juts a restaurant. Great Cuban food, cocktails and a nice wine list. If you have the time while in Miami, it's a must!

i have been coming here for 24 years, and never been disappointed. It is a great sign to see the same waiters, and same clients for so many years. i tried a new dish this time - the Mahi with creole sauce - perfect. my friend had a VEAL skirt steak and swore it was the best she has ever had. Highly recomended.

We love Cuban food and this restaurant fit the bill perfectly. We had an excellent lunch with enough leftover for dinner. The chicken had so much flavor and was so tender. Great rice and black beans too! Saturday's there is no lunch menu, but there is still plenty to choose from. Wish we lived closer!

We used to go often, years ago, to this restaurant. It seems to have changed hands and one can tell the new owners are trying to update the restaurant. In its looks, it is much better looking, although we missed the piano they had on Sundays. But it has a very pretty bar area and the restaurant looks nicer than before. What we had was good in general, but we did not like the plates in which the food was served they were the type use for soup and it is difficult to eat and cut food in such a small area. It would be good for guests to be asked if they wish the food served in regular plates. Also, all chicken dishes are made with breast, only the half chicken is served with both the breat and the thigh. To those of us who do not care for breast it would be nice to have the option of having the thigh. The desserts were good, the "tres leches" outstanding, the rest of the food good but nothing to write about.

This is upscale, fine dining. It's a nice place to bring a loved one or a business partner to impress. If you're looking for a typical pan con bistec, try any restaurant down the street as this is not that kind of place! The service was really good and the food was excellent. From the presentation and taste, to how it is brought to the table, the new owners know how to run a high-class restaurant. La Rosa has been here for several decades, and has always aspired to represent the more formal side of Cuban cuisine. From Croquetas de Rabo (Oxtail) to Masitas de Puerco (Pork Chunks), Cordero al Vino (Lamb), and Branzino (Fish), etc. they have lots of good choices for any palate type. And of course they have the typical arroz con pollo, plátanos maduros, if you are not the adventurous kind. As for me, I will definitely visit again. I'm looking forward to try other dishes.

La Rosa is placed close to Miami International Airport, in an area full of hotels and bussiness centers, named Little Havana. If you already like or you just want to try the Cuban cuisine, i think this is a very good place to visit. The service is very fast, good and respectful one, i was served by Armando, who is very helpful with everything you need. The meals, consist in a traditional Cuban soup and the main dish, were very good and the portions were really big ones. Compare to others restaurants in that area, the prices at La Rosa are not higher, so it is a good option for a family or a bussiness lunch, in a nice atmosphere. Probably, for busy hours in the evening, is a good ideea to make reservation.

Had lunch here for business and enjoyed the experience very much. Excellent and friendly service with waiters that know the trade and know how to serve. The food was great from the codfish croquetas to the grilled corvina. A little overcooked but great flavor. The champagne was chilled to the right temperature. Very decent decor and a cozy place to eat basic Latin food. The manager Jose greeted us and was friendly too. Not too many places to go to if you work in the area so this place is a great find. Try it out and I don't think you will be disappointed.

My wife and I got stuck overnight at MIA and looked on TA for well reviewed restaurants near our airline provided mediocre hotel. La Rosa had great ratings and reviews, plus it has been around for 40+ years, so we gave it a try. We were very happy with the choice. The Cuban cuisine was authentic and delicious, and the atmosphere was casual old school. Our waitress gave us excellent suggestions: the smoked pork in particular was moist and flavorful. If you are near the MIA airport and want authentic Cuban, give La Rosa a try.

My fiancé and I are fairly well-traveled, having eaten at lots of places, in lots of cities over the years. Never have we ever stopped to look at each other and drool over our food as much as we did at La Rosa. The fish and the fruit in the ceviche was so fresh, and the pork mesitas was perfectly seared yet melted in our mouths. Loved the oxtail empanadas! The homemade sauces all paired so beautifully with each dish. The service was delightful and this was such an unexpected diamond of a find we are planning to go back as soon as we can get back to Miami. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Excellent authentic Cuban food with attentive service. Prices were a bit high. Parking was in short supply. Make a reservation.

On a Tuesday at lunch time this place was full of locals who seemed to be regulars. The place is simple and attractive. Parking was fine and they have an attendant in the parking lot who takes care of any issues. The service we received was prompt and efficient with a smile. All tables are served a complimentary dish of Mariquitas (banana chips) The food was authentic, the Cuban Sazon was very well made and portions were large. Pricing was a bit higher than other similar Cuban restaurants but not excessive. The atmosphere was open and good and the place is well attended regularly by some of the well known and established members of the Cuban community. ¡Buen Provecho!

If you do not fit into the "Cuban" background, do not eat there. You will never be attended to & you will never get your food. I do not recommend you eating here. Save your money and the trip.

Went with my husband and son. The staff wasn't overly friendly but they were attentive. The food was good, the portions were also a decent size. My husband got the stuffed pork chops and I felt they were over priced but he throughly enjoyed them. I was disappointed in their kids menu, I have a picky 5 year old and the choices were few which I'm used to. They had chicken tenders which is more than some other places but The kids meal was $9 and did not include the 3drink- kind of pricey for a 5 year who barely eats.

I've been to La Rosa twice because it was convenient to the airport hotel where i was staying. They make very good conch fritters and the grilled octopus was amazing. The decor is lovely and parking is easy, although the gps directions on my first visit were a bit confusing. I would definitely return if in the area to try other dishes.

Restaurant has fantastic food, great customer service, a little pricey but definitely well worth it.

One of the best restaurant in Miami, the best oxtail in town Monday and Thursday ...friendly atmosphere .

I have never had Cuban food and on this business trip I was introduced to it by coming to this restaurant. It was fantastic ! We went two nights in a row! I highly recommend! I wish this restaurant was near me in California. We all enjoyed our meal!

I had the most amazing dinner at La Rosa on my last night in miami with boyfriend. A friend of his had recommended the place to us characterizing it as a hidden gem. I would say it was the most memorable and delicious meal we had all week! We tried the octopus in garlic and butter sauce, the ropa vieja(best in miami to be honest) and my FAVORITE was the lamb!!!! Even though we could barely breath after all that including side dishes of moro rice, plantain and beans we still tried out the pancetta with ice cream...DELICIOUS. Service was exceptional and the lovely lady playing the piano just made everything so much better. My boyfriend got extra points for bringing me here.

Traveling for business solo and decided to try. Very helpful staff and service was just right after a long day. More upscale than I expected. The steak was done just right. Simply made a long day better and enjoyable. Cuban coffee at the end.

This restaurant make you feel you are at home 🏡 eating home meal. It is a great restaurant with fantastic quality menu. Love the small environment and menu selection. Excellent seafood - and my favorite is the salad 🥗 choices. If you are close to the airport or south Miami it is a good rest of Caribbean food to try. Don’t forget to order Cafe Cubanos ! Enjoy

Love La Rosa! The "big 3" ... atmosphere, service, and cuisine ... all terrific! Their menu is fantastic. Authentic Cuban. And quite varied. Two of us split their pork entrée, a tamale, and the tres leches. We left stuffed. Had two beers, and spent $60.00 in total. Great value! Great experience!! Can't wait to go back!

La Rosa was highly recommended by the staff at our hotel near Miami International Airport. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with linen tablecloths and moderate noise levels, with a separate, small bar area adjacent to the main dining room. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Menu is varied with numerous Cuban classics including fried pork and Ox Tail, among many others. Flavor of the food was outstanding. Moderate prices given the generous portion sizes and quality. Highly recommended.

I had the flank steak with chimmichuri: good but I have had better. My bf had stuffed pork chop: good, but my cheese-loving bf said less would have been better on the overlay of cheese. This was a nice meal at a decent price, even without the added bonus of our Groupon coupon. Strangest tasting Mojito I ever had: not sweet. I would go back, but try different items.

I ordered arroz con pollo it was extremely salty , a breaded chicken breast so hard that not even the dogs wouldn't eat , frituras de bacalao and they gave me frituras de malanga I talked to the manager and she did not offered a discount or anything never again will order from them My order was to go did no visited the restaurant

Fantastic meal and service. Very nice atmosphere- white table cloths, but not stuffy. Coconut dusted grouper, fried pork chunks, sweet plantains, roasted pork, red sangria - all top notch. Will definitely return

Food taste good but you get a small portion of it. Leaves you wanting more. My ice cream scoop was smaller than a golf ball.

Staying near MIA for the evening before flying out in the morning and found this gem of a restaurant. Can’t say enough about the food. Didn’t disappoint. Will definitely be going back. Thanks for the great service as well.

This was recommended by the hotel we stayed at before a cruise. It was a cozy place and the food was average, not exceptional. The prices were reasonable for the size of the portions. Service was average, nothing to rave about. We saw the waiter when he took our order, served the food and brought the check.

We stayed at a hotel near the airport and were in search of a good restaurant. Our front desk recommended La Rosa, so we gave it a try. The building exterior was not exceptional, just an average looking restaurant. When we walked inside, we were greeted immediately and sat at our reserved table on a busy night. The menu and cuisine were unfamiliar to us, but my wife and I each found a dish to order relatively easily. While waiting for our food we enjoyed a few bowls of plantain chips which were delicious, and another new food to us. Our entrees arrived and were generous in size and also delicious. We found room to also enjoy the tres leches cake for dessert, one of the best I've ever had! With fantastic, authentic Cuban cuisine and friendly staff, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend La Rosa. Well done!

I went yesterday with my wife. I would sum up as follows: excellent cuban food, nice location, great staff and reasonable prices. Parking available. Not to be missed.

La Rosa is a nice surprise. The menu is full of Cuban dishes with some nods to other Caribbean destinations. The entrees are very large and enough on their own. Our party of 4 opted for two shrimp dishes and two chicken dishes and everything was good. A mojito topped off the great dinner. The piano player adds a nice touch! The service was a little slow and they add 18% gratuity to the check.

Wow, this place was amazing. The food taste was top notch and friendly too. More like fine casual dining as though you’re in someone’s house I think. A house with a bar in the dining room. The sweet plantains are the best part.

Husband had found online and it was close by the Residence Inn we were staying at. The food was so very nice. We had drinks and Empanada . The real star was the Pollo Barbacoa my husband ordered....the flavor was amazing. If we ever stay in the area again we will be back. We had a nice walk to & from the restaurant from our hotel.

What an experience! Terrific Cuban cuisine, and great service. The prices are modest, especially for what you receive. Great value. The portions are larger than you'd expect. They have a particular flair for preparing great menu options. You could easily consider this "gourmet Cuban". As for the setting, it's nothing terribly fancy. Sort of basic in terms of decor, but their chef is at at top of his game. All of the traditional items, and a specialty are their seafood items. Already looking forward to going back.

Very Nice atmosphere. Very Good Service. Excellent parking. Best Cuban Food. Very reasonably priced, for the location. Original Cuban dishes. All the favorites. Piano on weekends.

This place is large and seems to be family run. The food is cuban, and it seems the island's shortage of salt and spices has been transplanted to Miami.

We were on a layover to Lima, Peru with some friends. We went to La Rosa on a Thursday night after a day of rest before a day of travel on Friday. Our friend Linda thought it would be a nice place, even though none of us had had Cuban food before. The dining room we were in had 10 to 15 tables, and the decor was old but we'll maintained. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and very helpful when we had questions about what to order. My wife ordered the pork dinner and I had the daily special -- oxtails. The meats were both we'll prepared and just plain delicious. Your entrees come with rice and plantains, which went well with both our meals. Our friends ordered fish entrees (seafood stew and snapper fillet), which they both enjoyed. Although we were all full, we shared a Coconut Lolita for dessert -- outstanding coconut ice cream. Because we liked our dinner so much, we went back to La Rosa on our way back from Peru, and it did not disappoint. If we are on a layover near the Miami Airport, this is our go-to place.

Best Caesar salad I ever had! Beef dish was outstanding, pork dish a little dry. A tad pricey. But would definitely go Back! Service was great!

An Amazing restaurant in Miami. Good staff, mr Armando - the face of portuguese hospitality. We”ll return.

What can you say about another restaurant serving Cuban food in Miami, I am sure there are hundreds. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, everything was great. It is a small place with a 50 year resume and neighborhood restaurant feel. Not a chain, and the prices are very reasonable. Black beans and rice mystery -- not just this place, but any Cuban restaurant. I don't really like black beans, and rice is nothing I am in a hurry to eat. But put them together and it is like a drug, I can't get enough of Black beans and rice. Enjoy.

I had the New York Strip and the steak was really good, albeit not as good as the Ribeye. All of the appetizers were amazing, especially the octopus. The Tres Leches and Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream desserts were amazing. This is a nice small restaurant that serves really good food. Stop by if you are in the area.

Service was very poor . Prices were high and the food was mediocre. We were the only party in the restaurant and were treated with indifference . I had been here many times in the past and recommended the restaurant to many friends and businesses associates. I will not return

We went here on recommendation of Maria a family member. We were there very late but very hungry. We shared some sangria, in which the fruit inside was nearly frozen but tasted very good. We all ordered something different I believe two had the palimino steaks and I had my favorite pork chunks with palantins. Piano music was being played softly with many past hits. Although we were very late getting there and I believe the last customers of the night, we never felt rushed. It is an elegant restaurant and priced above average, but worth every penny.

This was one of our favorite restaurants when we worked nearby at Blue Lagoon. Their Cuban dishes were one of the best in town. We returned after over a year and were disappointed with some of our favorite dishes like Bacalao a la Viscayna. The lunch portion was smaller than normal and it lacked flavor, just heavy on the garlic but otherwise tasteless. The pitcher of the sangria which used to be delicious was mostly ice, almost watered down to the point it wasn’t even red in color. We in spite of it ordered a second pitcher, and the same. We complained to our waiter who did bring an additional amount of sangria made as it should. We will give it another try, just in case, as the service and ambiance was still pleasant but they need to check the quality of the food and stop watering down the sangria.

Having heard so much about Little Havana, and having read reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to make this our choice to experience authentic Cuban Cuisine prior to our cruise. La Rosa looks to be a small but roomy bistro in the neighborhood, so our anticipation and appetites were peaked. First off, the appetizers. I ordered the fried pork chunks as I was still perusing the menu for my entree. My wife ordered a shrimp empanada. The pork was very tender, not overly salted, but not overly seasoned either, just average. After a long wait, the waitress informs my wife they have no shrimp for the empanada, they offer a beef instead. It arrives cold. Now the entree’s. My wife orders the whole fried snapper, and I order the roast pork. The fish was overly fried, not well seasoned, as if it was cooked along with the tostones. My roast pork, while having a crispy well cooked skin, was completely ice cold, almost as if they used the pan sauce on the plate to heat up the meat. Grabbing the attention of the manager, he quickly swapped out the plate. But this time, although hot, it was very salty. I guess by the look on my face, he knew we were not pleased, as he offered me two drinks on the house. I cannot, in my opinion say this is a place to visit if one want to experience true Cuban cuisine. On the way back to our hotel, we saw many Cuban restaurants that looked much more inviting, and smelled great as we passed by! I gotta say, when we landed back home, still craving some Cuban food, we made a beeline straight to Parsippany New Jersey to a great Cuban spot. We could have stayed home and eaten better! Let’s just say, at La Rosa, it must have been a bad day!

Really bad food, bad taste and bad presentation no flavor at all also prices are relatively hight...

Went with family for my birthday. I had the best branzino I have eaten in a long time. It was tasty and cooked to perfection. Everyone was very impressed with the quality of the food and the service. I will definitely make this restaurant a regular for me.

this restaurant is getting every day better and better they serve a lot of food if you are a good eater go there

The food and services is Fantastic! Love the idea we save also money for Groupon the owner is very atent and his daughter too

I grew up eating Cuban food and have high expectations, especially for certain favorite dishes. We asked a couple of Cubans working at our hotel near the airport which restaurant they would recommend and this one was the answer from both. We weren't disappointed. The dining room clean and nicely appointed, and the tables were not crowded together. The wait staff was pleasant, attentive, and spoke both Spanish and English. But the best thing about this place is the food. Oh my goodness. I had the ropa vieja and it was almost better than my moth-in-law's. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and delicious. My husband had the roasted pork and almost couldn't finish the huge, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth portion. All in all, this place was just perfect.

My family and I were stranded in Miami for the evening after missing our flight. La Rosa was recommended to us and it was very good. Service was pretty slow after a long and disappointing day of travel but it might not have seemed so bad under different circumstances. The food was very tasty and we tried a variety of things on the menu.

Lots of good restaurants in Miami, and we decided to stray from our usual Cuban restaurant choices to try something new. Sadly, this proved a bit disappointing. The prices were on the higher side, and the service and food were very mediocre. Interesting that we were dining in what should have been a peak period -- 8pm on a Saturday night, and the place was nearly empty. Anyhow, I had the palomilla, very devoid of flavor. The amarillo rice and plantains were nothing special. Hubby had the Churrasco steak, which was better than my meal. Still, much better choices for Cuban food out there.

Being from upstate NY, I never had been to a Cuban restaurant before. My wife talked me into going and WOW what an experience. I had a traditional pork dish that was so tender, moist and well seasoned. My wife had a coconut crusted Grouper. Both were excellent. Save room for dessert, which are excellent too! Convenient to airport hotels.

Food arrived at our hotel with no silverware, no napkins no plates. Impossible to eat food like this with no utensils. I even sent them a chat right after ordering the food to tell the to include utensils. To no avail. The food was also dry and overcooked. I contacted door dash afterwords and they said they couldn’t help. Don’t order from this place until they figure out how to actually deliver and sever their food. Owner doesn’t know what they are doing. Waste of $50. I’ll let my credit card company deal with this.

Had lunch, good food, nice upgrade to the bar and restaurant. These are done by an owner That really loves his restaurant but the most important change I saw today,’minus the plantains chips missing, is that they add 18% tip without letting the customer know. When the server brings the receipt for signature they attached the itemized Bill to the copy u sign and they keep. Only after we left we realized what happed, So after 18% tip of 8.82 we added 12.00. So if u try this restaurant ask waiter About the tip, so it doesn’t happen to u…. This is dishonest……..

We have been going to la rosa for lunch and or dinner since it opened in the 70's. As far as cuban food goes it is very authentic and extremely well made. I couldn't recomend one dish over another because they are all excellent and we like them all. But we have a tradition since we were young to order the paella and have it family style or order by phone pick it up and have the paella at home with family and friends. Of course the price per person was a lot less back then. In closing i would highly recommend la rosa restaurant to anyone wanting to eat really great cuban latin specialties. Save room for desert it's a most.

Good food. Good people. Worth a trip. We were impressed by the exceptional quality and presentation of the food. The waitress was wonderful, then we were informed it was her first day serving. We called for the manager to thank him for a truly wonderful experience, which is quite unusual for us.

We visited this restaurant a couple times before while visiting Miami and this time we were disappointed. The food was mediocre and service slow. Cuban food is very tasty but the lunch we had was plain and not up to the standards we've had in the past

Found this restaurant walking distance from the airport Residence Inn. Food and service were both excellent, as was the Cuban style beer. Had mahi mahi with maduros (fried sweet plantains) and black beans with rice. The chocolate volcano cake with ice cream was tastey as well.

la Rosa was recommended for authentic Cuban food. The atmosphere was pleasant as were the staff. I chose a seafood dish which was excellent with lobster, squid and various shell fish along with delicious rice and beans and lots of garlic. Well worth trying.

They serve you frozen vegetable, dry pork...Only the desserts were good. Total of the bill for 2 plates, 2 desserts with coffees and one glass of wine 90$. And on top of that poor service and they charge you automaticly 18% service on your bill...at least they should put 15% and if you are really happy, you add more!!

I travel through this area a lot and went here for the first time with some local friends. I thought it was going to be an Italian restaurant (I did little research but went here based on nearness to my hotel). I spend a lot of time in Cuba and there were Cuban style items on the menu. I started with the black bean soup which was very good but had to ask for onion pieces to sprinkle on top. My main course was a crusted fish entree. It was huge and could only finish about 1/2. Friends I was dining with also experienced large portions with a lot of food "para llevar" to go. On the downside the waiters are a bit standoffish. Very little communication with us and non-smiling throughout. Prices are a bit high but the portions are big.

Good variety of food and excellent service. A fine dining version of Cuban. We had kidneys, pork and an excellent fish followed by a good Cuban coffee. When we were there it was full of Cubans--another good sign. Portions are quite large.

Before cruising, we had one night in Miami at Element Hotel. They offered a free shuttle to some nearby restaurants and La Rosa was one of the spots. We are SO glad we chose La Rosa. Good service, live piano music and OUTSTANDING food with great presentation! As a foodie, I appreciated not just the color and way our corn fritters, grouper, steak, black beans and salad looked, but the tastes were some of the best I've had. It's just a little expensive, but for an anniversary trip, it was so worth it! In our hotel room with kitchen, I reheated beans, fish and plantain for breakfast and LOVED all the flavor, AGAIN!

My mother and I went to La Rosa restaurant on thanksgiving day to get some food, upon arrival I asked if take out was possible because it was a holiday and we were dressed in jeans and everyone else were properly dressed, the waiter told us non sense have a seat!! It was an awesome experience and will return again!! P.s save room for desert, the arroz con leche is out of this world

Great cuban food, friendly service. We lingered for two hours. Coffee and flan, better than most, closed the meal.

The flavors, ambience, and service here are crisp and superb. This is a spot where you will find many a local, all enjoying the experience. Seafood, salads, and authentic Cuban dishes are plentiful. And the parking is a breeze. Can’t wait to go back!

I hadn't been to The Rosa in like 5 years ago, It has always been good, but these must be new owners. They have really taken it to another level. I love the traditional Cuban food, but with the added flair and beautiful presentation they serve their food with. I had Crema de Malanga, not to many restaurants serve it, delicious. Also ordered the A lo Cubano, the Shredded fried pork was awesome. Portions were more than plentiful, and to be honest, as long as you stay away from Chef Specialties, and fancy cocktails (that all looked very appealing), the prices are pretty reasonable for this above average Cuban food experience. Service was great, always were at our side answering any question we had about the menu.

This restaurant was recommended to me for their generous portions and good Cuban food. I started with the La Rosa rum punch - very refreshing. The entrée I selected was not a huge portion, but it was perfect. I had the Tenderloin Fillet in Blue Cheese Sauce and the presentation was picture perfect. I selected the rice and beans as a side and fried bananas came to munch on while I waited for the entrée. They were hot, thin, and crispy. The steak was flavorful and I was surprised by mashed potatoes under the steak. I dined on my way back from work to my hotel so it was a bit early and I'm disappointed that I was unable to enjoy the musical entertainment.

Our group had dinner and lunch here as it was walking distance from our hotel. I ordered a chicken dish for dinner. It looked like shredded pork. It was a little on the dry side. I had a fish dish for lunch the next day. Fish was cooked well, however I felt that it was a little salty for my taste buds. I didn't have the chance to try other dishes, as I am not sure if I would return to this restaurant should I make a return visit to Miami.

Excellent!!!! There are no more words! Rabo Encendido and Vaca Frita with Sangría, are the Best combination. The place is full comfortable and romantic!

Stopped here for lunch after landing at MIA and we were all really pleased with the food and service. Authentic Cuban. Amazing picadillo and empanadas. Highly recommend. This is no tourist trap. All locals and regulars.

Take out Seafood Paella was terrible, talk to owner next day and doesn’t seen to care,it’s sad to loose confidence in internet reviews and pay for bad cooking,it’s the New Miami Trend, the old formula is gone, these are the new times.☹️

Was very disappointed ordered RABO ENSENDIDO was l served 3 small pieces. So disappointing because I come here alot last week I came 3 times they always serve good portions but this was not even descent, before you order RABO in this place make sure you find out how many pieces they serve.

A few years ago The New York Times' restaurant critic had an article on Cuban food. It began "If you are looking for great Cuban food you will find it in Miami, not necessarily Havana"; then proceeded to review a handful of Miami restaurants -amongst them La Rosa. While time and popularity have taken a toll on some of the other restaurants (yes, those are busloads of tourists at Versailles), La Rosa has retained what made it famous in the first place. It has been a favorite with the locals since it opened back in the 1970's. Not a big dinning room but a good place to enjoy authentic Cuban cuisine not too far from what abuela used to cook. Good sized portions at reasonable prices (the lunch special menu is extensive and very affordable). An adequate list of wines and beers. Linen tablecloths, cutlery, glass and china. A nice, casual place to take a date or the family. Friendly service glad to provide suggestions from the day's specials -and to bring you not bread but a bowl of fried plantain chips. I have visited the place a few times through the years and gladly recommend it.

La Rosa offers an extensive Cuban menu with great wine pairings. Being a long standing restaurant, it is considered a land mark stop when dining in Miami

My wife and I asked the bellman at our hotel for his recommendation for Cuban food. Without hesitation he replied "La Rosa". He eats there himself and the food is great. He pulled out a menu and I zeroed in on the Paella. He said "great choice". You have to order it for 2 people and he also recommended to call ahead and get it started. It takes about an hour to prepare. We asked him to call ahead for us, which he gladly did! We had the Seafood Paella and it was out of this world good! Shrimp, lobster tails, mussels, oysters and chicken in a wonderful mix of suace and rice. The amount of food that arrived would feed 3 or 4 people easy!

This place is a joke, look at the menu here on trip advisor and multiply the price by three. I have lamb shank, it was great but seriously I only got three bites

Entrees were good sized portions. Service was excellent and it is in close proximity to the airport.

Staying nearby and decided to go based on the reviews. They were spot on! Quaint little place with great atmosphere. Quick and attentive service. In our party one had steak, the other fish and a chicken dish. Everyone was very please. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked perfectly! The salad was good as were the veggies. The entree comes with two sides and they had many choices. The rice and beans looked good at the table next to us. My friends said it had a good wine list and the Cuban coffee after was equally as good I was told. Will definitely return.

This was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed at. What a fun and reasonably priced restaurant. I would recommend making reservations because it filled up quickly. They classify it as a Fine Cuban Cuisine so I was a little nervous not being familiar with Cuban food but it was delicious. I ordered a shrimp dish which was excellent. We ordered a bottle of wine and the wine manager came to the table and opened it for us, which I thought was pretty classy. Not sure about the location but our hotel offered a shuttle service over and we ubered it back to the hotel.

What an amazing place! It isn’t just the food, which is exceptional, but the cozy, warm and inviting vibe that add a special touch to the experience. Everyone is so attentive and makes you feel like family. Being Cuban, I can truly say this spot takes Cuban cuisine to new heights. I come here a lot and every time I fall in love with a different dish. This time we had the Steak and Eggs and the Creamy Shrimp Rice. The flavor was insanely good. Definitely dishes I want to order again. For appetizers we had the Octopus and the Oxtail Empanadas. I can tell you my daughter said the octopus was the best she’s ever had. I concur! And the empanadas… you’ll want to to take some home. The cocktails here are next level. Definitely try their mojitos, margaritas and pina coladas. They’re not just delicious but beautifully presented. Don’t forget dessert and a Cafecito. You’ll be glad you indulged. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Love love them!

The servers were kind. Fried plantain chips were brought to the table. Nice to be in a quiet peaceful spot. Many entrees available.

Was excited to return to La Rosa after many years. The server and manager/owner was very nice and helpful. Drinks and appetizer was good but my lobster had to be returned. It was discolored and mushy.

I had been waiting 5 years to go back and they didn't disappoint me!! The service was great! The food was excellent! They even had a live piano player there. My favorite is the Shredded Beef (ropa vieja in creole sauce) and it was even better than the first time I was there. I hope it's not so long between visits next time.

We gathered 20 of our family members to enjoy a local Cuban Restaurant. They did create an special menu for us with a nice variety of dishes and desserts. We had great service in a semi private section of the restaurant. Great food. The options were pork, chicken, shrimp and churrasco. We enjoyed very much.

This was my first time trying Cuban cuisine and although some of the items were good others were lacking. This restaurant has a cozy, family vibe but it can get very busy which could impact on service.

We were stranded in Miami due to a flight cancellation. The staff at the hotel we were staying at recommended this restaurant. We walked in to the restaurant and we’re pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere and the welcoming spirit of our waiter. They have a very extensive Cuban menu. Our waiter pointed out their special Cuban chicken soup since my wife was not feeling well (bad cold and headache). It was great. I had the Cuban pork dish which was plentiful and superbly flavored. They also have an extensive wine list to chose from. However, the truly stunning event of the evening was our waiter, knowing of our plight and my wife’s condition, went out to buy her a bottle of aspirin and drove us back to our hotel since we had no transportation. Better tha Uber or Lyft. What an evening. Five stars to La Rosa, great restaurant and staff!!! Heartfelt thanks!

We were lucky to find this restaurant on our 1 night stay in area before flying out to the bahamas. The food was so good we went back again on our return to Miami before flying back to UK. The food was excellent and portions very large. The management were intentive and even remembered us from our first visit 11 days previously. Excellent find in area and really enjoyed our time in the restaurant.

Based on trip advisor reviews, we recently visited LaRosa in Miami. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Good variety on menu, staff willing to explain items. Food arrived timely, warm and inviting, tasty and fresh. Prices reasonable. We had a lovely evening for a special occasion. Definitely will go back. It won’t disappoint

We were staying at a nearby airport hotel the night before our cruise and the concierge recommended La Rosa over Versailles as it's not too touristy and the service is excellent. Everything we ate and drank was top shelf and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back and absolutely recommend this is your truly looking for an authentic Cuban experience!

We had Fried Calamari and Fried Pork for appetizer, and Seafood Bouillabaisse for main dish, and they’re all delicious!!!

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff and in fact they provided transportation to and from. The menu is extensive and supported by daily specials. I started with a great cocktail, a new old fashioned, and enjoyed an appetizer of octopus in garlic and oil. I was disappointed the special of the day, goat stew, had already sold out earlier in the day, but then had a wonderful grilled pork with bacon and onions, and I mean wonderful!!! Enjoyed the meal with icy cold glasses of Albarino and followed the meal with some fine Cuban coffee. The only thing, and its minor, preventing an excellent rating was the spotty service but it may just have been an off night and should not result in anyone deciding not to give it a try. They have been around since 1970 so you know they are doing it right.

Incredible food - ceviche was out of this world delicious with a creative presentation, grilled branzino was superbly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was relaxed with attentive wait staff. Even the black beans and rice were beyond the norm. Will definitely go back on our next trip to Miami!

La Rosa is a Cuban Restaurant, located in miami, This restaurant is not the best that there is, live music is nothing special, menu items is small, Go to latin Cafe 2000 it is much better.

This is a family run business and everyone is treated to a perfection when they sit down at one of their tables. The food is always hot and tasty and the service is fantastic!! Easy to recommend this reestaurant

What a simply delightful restaurant. Excellent service, delicious meal and real cutlery and china. Been travelling around USA for the last three weeks and this is the best restaurant we have come across. A beautifully presented restaurant, if in Miami come here 👍

Staff was rude, food is pricey for a small portions. FYI the tip is automatically added regardless of the party size.

This place has it all! Fresh, seasoned to perfection, quality food and excellent service. The food is served with presentation and the quality and flavor is above the rest. They have an outside terrace and the atmosphere is great. If you want real cuban food with a nice, clean and great ambiance in Miami this is the place.

This was my husband's birthday night! We had a blast here. There was live piano music and the atmosphere was so great. My husband was given a complimentary birthday dessert and they sung Happy Birthday to him. We had some delicious food and the portions were more than we could handle. the service was good as well and I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

A popular restaurant, recommended by many employees working in Hotels near MIA Arpt, with ample dine-in seating, indoors and inside. Will definitely frequent again whenever in the MIA Arpt area again!

In for dinner on a Thursday at 7:30. First time there. Nice place but VERY NOISY. Good menu with something for everyone. Glass of Pinot Noir $ 7.50 Calamares Fritos $ 7.99 Tasty but small portion for the price. Churrasco a la Parrilla $ 24.99 Grilled Prime Skirt Steak. Comes with 2 sides. Cooked just right. Solomillo de puerco relleno "La Rosa" $ 23.99 Pork Tenderloin stuffed with ham, sausage and covered with a white cheese. Comes with 2 sides. Good portion but VERY DRY. Our server "Armando" could have done much better. Ordered a side of plantains but was never delivered. NO GRATUITY ADDED TO BILL. Suggested percentage at bottom of bill. Want to go back for the Cuban roasted pork. Being one of the daily specials, it was sold out.

Our first visiit to Miami had us in search of local cuisine. We where lead to La Rosa by our hotel staff. What a great choice. Reasonably priced, fast service with large portions. We would recommend: the cubano sandwich, pork tenderloin, and grilled snapper.

I can’t say enough great things about La Rosa. It’s a terrific restaurant close to MIA airport. The service is great. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Decor inside is elegant but not too fancy. The only issue is that they are moving too fast and being the dishes too close together. Otherwise perfect.

While in Miami waiting for our flight, we were at this restaurant. Very friendly waiter, very hearty meal we feasted.

We had a delicious Cuban dinner, far better than anything we had in Cuba the following week. Piano music played by a sweet lady made our dinner experience elegant. Service and decor are very nice. Highly recommended!

Had my heart set for a great Cuban meal but was disappointed. The deep fried snapper was almost burnt and resulted in a very dry, yet costly, meal. Should have sent it back. I asked for a side salad, no onions, and, of course, it came with onions. We asked for tres leches, described on the menu as the traditional tres leches cake and the waiter brought flan, then tried to tell us it was tres leches pudding! Just because I am not Cuban doesn't mean I don't know what flan is. Oh well, next time we will try a different Cuban restaurant for sure.

The Cubano sandwich - Awesome! Pork dishes - Excellent Even their iced tea was great. Oh, the Conch Fritters? We could've eaten a bucket of them. Both plantain dishes also delicious. No misses here.

La Rosa has great Cuban food, with a wonderful selection of meat and seafood on the menu. The portions are huge and can easily be split or make many leftover meals. It’s a Miami institution.

Near Miami International Airport, La Rosa is a bit out of the way except for those, like us, who have an early next-day flight and decided to stay at an airport hotel. Luckily for us, we discovered this quaint, friendly and outstanding restaurant, and just in time to enjoy their Happy Hour as well. Wonderful ambience, friendly and helpful staff, and the best churrasco steak we have ever had. Perfectly grilled and topped with spectacular chimichurri sauce. Go there, it is well worth the effort to find.

Nice family restaurant with authentic Cuban food. The food here is cooked to order (not like Versailles) and comes in very generous portions. The mariquitas they bring to the table are highly addictive and much better than bread. My kids love this place - the rice and beans are on-point! It's hard to go wrong when ordering, but here are a few of my favorite dishes: picadillo, ropa vieja, pollo cordon bleau and bistec de palomilla. Also ordering a side of yucca con mojo and/or platanos maduro are definitely worth it. I feel as though their prices may have gone up over the past few months. But it's still a good value for both the quantity AND the quality.

Our cousin took us for lunch and their food is amazingly good and plentiful, service with a smile, nice decor, prices fair. I lived in Miami for three years and didn’t know this jewel. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff at the Sheraton. The staff at LA Rosa is very welcoming and it is is very .quaint. I had the Ropa Vieja and my husband had the special, a goat dish. I perferred the goat over the Ropa Vieja. The Ropa Vieja was a little chewy. The potions are large and our waiter and other waiters were very attentive. Saw some of the other dishes that were being served and they look delicious. If we ever return I will try something else.

La Rosa takes me back to my childhood and is a first call every time I visit Miami. The service is friendly and old school (no frills) and the food is amazing. The absolute must is the macitas de puerco, the tenderest cubes of pork served with onions and tangy garlic mojo sauce. Then there’s the comfort dishes like ropa vieja or picadillo that never disappoint. Today I went for something different, Italian style liver served with white rice and plantains (maduros); it’s a dish I hated as a kid, but then it did not taste as good as this. Worth a visit.

Tourist trap! Don’t you guys be files. I was born in Cuba. This is not Cuban food. It’s an affeont to Cubans. The tour sea are going to think our food is insípido! The croquettes are from a box. Even the ketchup tastes like bar n q sauce. We shall never return. Tourist. Go down a block away and eat at the Latin American. Save 30% over this fake food’

The portions were huge and the food was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing a dish.

I love Cuban Food. I arrived late one Friday night to MIA and stayed at a nearby hotel. The shuttle driver told me about the food. It was late so I ordered a Cuban sandwich, madras and of course the Tres Leche. Firstly, there was plenty of food for the price. Second, I almost walked the five blocks to get a second piece. I may stop over in Miami again just to eat here!

I visited La Rosa during a business trip because I love Cuban food, and it was near my hotel. The food & the service stole the evening. Attentive wait staff who were welcoming and so kind. The roasted pork was seasoned perfectly and the sweet plantains - wow! Even if it was on the other side of the city, I would make the journey to eat at La Rosa!

We wanted to try a locally owned Cuban inspired eatery and based on other’s reviews chose La Rosa. It is very close to a number of hotels near the airport...just a short cab ride. We were extremely impressed by how clean the restaurant is and how friendly the staff was. We ordered the Solomillo de Puerco Relleno and it was heavenly. Huge portion that could easily be split between two. It came with two sides and we chose black beans and rice along with fried plantains. Oh my goodness, they were both great and so large a portion they came on seperate plates. The prices were extremely reasonable for what you receive. All was very fresh. The next time we are in Miami we definitely plan to return. Whatever you do, don’t be fooled by the exterior. They have been in this location for 50 years. It’s not run down, it’s just not a schmamcy chain restaurant. $40 for dinner with drinks for two can hardly be found these days. You won’t be disappointed. BTW they have some very interesting items on their menu. We were so full we didn’t have room for Cuban coffee but we will know next time to leave some room.

Very good Cuban restaurant near Miami Airport, Downtown, Little Havana . Huge menu with nightly specials and nice wine selection . We really enjoyed the roasted Pork dinner. Very reasonable prices.

THE FIRST CUBAN RESTAURANT IN MIAMI, WITH THE SOUL OF 1960s HAVANA I am an Australian, but a frequent visitor to both Miami and Havana, involved in both places as a Professor of Medicine and a Lecturer in Anthropology. I left Havana in 2023, and today was the first time I truly savored the kind of Cuban cuisine I had grown used to in La Habana—a few notches higher in elegance and sophistication than most Cuban-American restaurants in Miami. I was transported back to the many dinners and long conversations in the halls of Havana, and I deeply enjoyed the nostalgia evoked by the cuisine of 1960s Cuba. This cherished culinary tradition is kept alive at La Rosa Restaurant, founded in 1968 by people from the province of Matanzas. I don’t think you’ll find malanga soup with such refined taste anywhere else. I had the grilled fish, and my companion enjoyed vaca frita after his salad. And how can a Cuban meal be complete without Caviar Cubano—frijoles negros, the black beans? I closed my eyes while sipping the black bean soup and could feel the breeze from the Malecón (my apartment was near the Malecón). The dessert took us both by surprise. I had Cuban natilla, reminiscent of crema catalana or crème brûlée—every morsel was delicious. My companion had arroz con leche, a melt-in-the-mouth kind of delight. My stomach was satisfied, my mind coated in the warm nostalgia of my recent life in Havana, and I felt spiritually connected to the rich history of that island just south of here. You will always be in my heart.

Great, authentic Cuban menu. Food and service were great! Friendly staff. A must do when in Miami. We will definitely be back.

Food was fine, but the loud music (Cuban-timba-like [which is horrible]) and the persistently annoying yelling of the waitress was absolutely unbearable!..

This restaurant has it all. Great decor with curtains, cloth table covers, Piano Spanish classics, it's just a unique simple classy place. The menu has it all. I had a delicious lamb shanks with rice and plantains and my husband had the pork, congri and plantains. Banana chips and malanga fritters were fabulous. The waiter was friendly and helpful. We had the house wine that was on the table and enjoy it. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this hidden gem for Cuban Spanish food. I will definitely be back.

So this is the 2nd day in a row have dined at La Rosa. Suggested by the Concierage at our nearby hotel...oh my, so delicious. Loved the cod in tomato, the braised oxtails and the shrimp enchilados o al Ajillo, the sides were yummy and everything was plentiful. The fresh plantain chips served when seated were fresh and delicious. If you want a flavor filled, robust meal, this is your place. Enjoyed a good red wine, Cune Rioja also. Desserts are yummy... so many choices, so little time. Excellent, friendly servers make you feel like family.

Had a great meal, guided by a native Miamian who knows the food. Lovely service and tasty food all the way around. Highly recommended.

We had gone to this restaurant years ago and went back a few weeks ago. The food is still very good. We especially like the black beans. I also had the red snapper with chimmichura sauce. It was probably the best I have ever had. A must when staying overnight near the airport

the service is ok, but because they got my order wrong..the food was great and wasn't too pricey. good parking and no wait was a plus for me. will return.

Unbelievable we did through Uber eats and I will contact Uber eats but we are out of town Guest having food delivered to a hotel, and wanted to get an order of soup the Uber eats driver did not bring silverware so I understand if they feel like they don’t need to pack silverware with soup (obviously I hope you sense the sarcastic tone in this message) so we will reach out to the Uber driver and get some utensils but I cannot believe after we called and was told we were speaking to the manager we were hung up on. This is unbelievable I’m headed to TripAdvisor now to leave the same review where I’m a top contributor so everyone knows not to expect customer service here.

Very clean and nice restaurant, I was kind of shock when we walked in and see it very clean including the restroom. The service was nice and the food was great. I will say that is the kind of restaurant that you can go back.

We’ve been to Miami many times and always scout out Cuban food. This was by far the best Cuban food we’ve ever eaten. Service can be a little slow, it’s like “island time”. The food came out within a reasonable time and the service was very welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend.

My husband and I stopped in La Rosa after our flight landed in Miami. We were both craving Cuban food and we came across La Rosa after a quick Google search. The food was fantastic, authentic and so reasonable. I must have said “mmmmm” with every bite. The bartender/server and owner were so friendly and helpful. I have celiac and they were easily able to help me make gluten free choices. I only regret La Rosa is not closer to our home, but the ride may be worth it!

We drove an hour from Fort Lauderdale to Miami to eat some Cuban cuisine in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood. We arrived at 4PM, a full hour before LaRosa begins dinner service. They were nice enough to seat and serve us. The decor is pleasant, the server was attentive. My husband got his favorite, pork (a Cuban specialty) and I ordered the whole fried snapper (crunchy, fresh, delicious). The rice, black beans, and yellow plantains rounded out our meal. If you like Cuban food, you'll like La Rosa. They have their own parking lot, no charge.

Authentic Cuban food! Great service. Order the classic Bacadri Mojito. Everything is prepared very well. The atmosphere is a bit confusing. I'd dress a little nicer to fit in but the place has a charming dive allure with gourmet food and very good liquor selections.

We stopped in early - 5pm. Clearly before the evening rush. Our group enjoyed the roast pork with plantains, oxtail empanadas, croquettes and Cuban sandwiches. Plus the crime brûlée for desert was second to none. Definitely recommended

La Rosa was ABSOLUTELY amazing Cuban cuisine. My business team and I went here from the recommendation from a fellow colleague. He was just raving about us going here, so we obliged. I’ll just say this…,we were so HAPPY that we listened to him. La Rosa had nice appetizers and the empanadas were phenomenal. However, the tantalizing delight were the selections of drinks that they had available (the Mojitos were the group favorites). Best of all, the table was in awe when that main course arrived... no one said a word as we partook to our hearts desire! Nonetheless, La Rosa is definitely staying on the map for me anytime that I come to Doral/Homestead area!!!

My husband and I were touring Little Havana and wanted a nice sit down Sunday lunch. La Rosa was the perfect choice. We enjoyed a delicious lunch here. The portions were s large we couldn’t finish. We had their speciality mango chicken with plantains and rice and a Cuban sandwich. Although we were stuffed we had to try the glam for dessert. This is an excellent restaurant with a large menu of Cuban specialities.

We went twice on business over a course of 2 weeks. The first time everything went well and the service was good. It was very noisy as there were 2 large and very loud parties next to us, but not the restaurant's fault. We had octopus and fried malanga as appetizers and grilled snapper with rice and black beans. The octopus and fish were very fresh and very tasty. The fried malanga was okay. We also got tostones and they were too greasy. The second time we went it was a disaster. The service was terrible and it took forever to get our food and it arrived in shifts. Some people finished eating before other people got their food. I was not impressed. Tip seems to be always included no matter the size of the part, which I do not appreciate.

By far the best Cuban food in Miami!! Great food great service, good experience, good prices, and our waiter was really nice.

Popped in for dinner following a recommendation from the Embassy Suites Hotel, what a wonderful surprise! Fantastic Cuban Cuisine, great service, excellent wine list. Try the flaming Chorizo followed by whole snapper upon a seafood stew. Loved every minute of it. Great service.

Together with my wife we went to this restaurant by a suggestion of a Cuban friend working in that area. We had a nice and tasteful dinner, including a soup and a main dish big size (see photos), everything specific to the Cuban cuisine. The service was very fast, polite and always attentive to our requests - big like to Armando (see him in photo). The prices are correct for what they offer and the atmosphere is warm and enjoyable. I fully recommend this restaurant.

I went to this restaurante for the first time, we were 3 people, we all chose diferent dishes. It serves cuban/ caribean food, very good and tasty. The owner, a very nice guy. I recomend and I'm sure I would like to return.

Our hotel recommended La Rosa Restaurant and what great recommendation is was! The food was delicious! One of the Bellman (Anthony) told us about this place and his first hand experiences with it. We ordered the Seafood Paella (best to call ahead and tell them you would like this as it takes about an hour to prepare). You will not be disappointed! It has shrimp, lobster tails, mussels, oysters and chicken plus the sauce is out of this world. The menu claims it feeds 2...more like 3 or 4. We had a tray full of leftovers we gave to the hotel Bellman!

The food is not Cuban food it taste like from a Chinese buffet. This restaurant years ago was an iconic and classic Cuban cousin but under the new management is really pathetic

Beautiful day, sat outside on patio. Immediately greeted and served a basket of bread and butter. Extensive lunch specials menu. Ordered pork. Came with couple of options. Loved it, very tasty and filling.

Best lunch ever , good quality and prices !!The owner and his daughter are doing a tremendous work highly recommended

I usually prefer to have lunch or dinner elsewhere than at the airport, therefore I decides to investigate a little bit about the best places to eat near MIA airport. Lured by the very positive comments about La Rosa, we headed there and, in few words, we loved it. Maybe the place is not full of charm or elegance, but its cuban food is OUTSTANDING.

It may seem like an isolated Restaurant but you will really enjoy it!!! Yesterday my family and I ate there, the food above all was fresh! Cooked to perfection! Their food is so delicious and unique recipes. The staff very kind and helpful. We found this restaurant by accident from TripAdvisor, and we were really happy that we ate so well!

Superb Cuban cuisine. Small and unpretentious space, maybe the lighting is a little too bright, but the service and quality of their food is fantastic! Our server took amazing care of us, and made excellent suggestions. We went with the La Rosa salad (it's huge) with salmon, and then the mahi special of the day. Our friend had the skirt steak. Each item was perfectly cooked, and DELICIOUS! Can't wait to go back ...

Waiting for the table, soaking in the vibe you could tell it was going to be an endearing experience. It felt like a family and friends gathering having a great time. Then came the food, which was exceptional (don’t miss the short ribs on Sunday) served by a very professional and friendly cast. Like you want to pull a chair for and chat over the history of the place (55 years, same location) And the flan…..and the bar service….

I was staying at the crowne plaza across the street. This place had good Yelp reviews. They give you plenty of food. I had the pork chunks and salad for starters. Just a note, the salad is served with oil and vinegar. They may have other dressings. I didn't ask. Then I had the churassco for my meal. It was plenty of food. I took it all the way home with me to South Carolina and ate it for lunch. It was still delicious. It wasn't the best Cuban food I ever had, but it was tasty!

Promoting the restaurant as "World Famous", they had a tall hill to climb to prove it to my group. They did. The servers are amazing and engaging. The menu has many great selections. The table had the stuffed snapper, lobster thermidor, and the hour long prepared Arroz con pollo. All were expertly prepared and presented. The portions and large and the flavor even bigger. We enjoyed fantastic cups of cuban coffee afterwards. The piano player is a lot of fun and quirky. A great place and a must visit.

We flew into Miami from Baltimore for one night, before our cruise. Wanted to get some good Cuban cuisine. La Rosa did not disappoint. Great service. Entrees (fried pork, beef with rice) was great. Calamari appetizer: good as well, with meal like portions. Live piano music was nice as well.

I ate here alone on a business trip and chose seating in but not at the small bar area. The main dining room was crowded early in the evening with large groups. The wine and drink list is long and interesting. I chose the salmon baked in a honey mustard sauce and served with two side items. The salmon was tender, cooked through and thoroughly impregnated with the honey mustard flavor. My side of Cuban style mixed vegetables consisting of carrots, wax and green beans, broccoli, red pepper, potato and garlic rounds was aromatic and delicious. Another side was the black beans which had the classic smoky taste and dark appearance also very good. There was no room for dessert.
Pleasant Surprise!
We knew we had to have real Cuban food during our trip through Miami! Our shuttle driver at the hotel recommended La Rosa and it was delicious! He did fail to mention that it was a very nice restaurant, so we were slightly under-dressed in our shorts and t-shirts. But we survived! All of the food was amazing! You must try the conch fritters, filetes de res relleno con jamon y queso and the Creme Brulee was out of this world delicious! We would definitely visit again!
