Beautiful restaurant convenient to arts district. Walked in early Saturday evening without a reservation and were seated right away. Server was very attentive and food was delicious. Had the special osso bucco ravioli and seafood dish with halibut, prawns and scallop; all were excellent. Buffalo mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes on the caprese salad were AMAZING!

Had such a great experience. Waiter was so helpful and food was fantastic-I rarely say a meal is worth the price but this definitely was. Can’t wait to go back.

Wow…doesn’t get any better than this! The real deal…super authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Dallas! Absolutely loved every dish!! The scene and ambiance was amazing as well!

Excellent service, atmosphere and food. Had a family dinner here and we were treated like VIPs. Williams our server and Aldo the wine sommelier have us excellent attention and service. Enjoyed some great octopus appetizer, fish and pasta , wine, and dessert. Wish I lived in Dallas so I could enjoy this more often. The piano bar singer Brad was a treat!

What a great spot for amazing food, excellent service, and talented live music! My friend and I were in Dallas for her birthday and had such a great celebration at La Stella! Our server, Ed, was just a doll. He was friendly and approachable, knowledgeable about the menu, engaged and attentive without being intrusive. Ok, and the food!! We had an absolutely delicious octopus appetizer that was almost a meal in itself and I haven't had as good even in Spain, but our favorite was the Veal Osso Bucco stuffed agnolotti pasta with pancetta entree! OMG, melted in my mouth. We finished with the best Espresso martinis and white chocolate bread pudding! Thank you for making my friend's birthday dinner so special!

I'm Italian and I travel a lot for my job, I'm often in New York. Las Vegas, San Francisco as well as almost all major cities in the States. When I'm in Dallas I'm completely happy because at the Stella I feel like I'm in Italy. Another evening I had dinner, as a gift I gave pasta and beans, it was a gift from the restaurant after ordering some lasagna which hadn't tasted so good in years, it seemed out of my mother's hands after ordering fried fish which was delicious, and to complete the lunch the double house limoncello offered free by the restaurant, I don't think in all the U.S. there is a restaurant so Italian that it makes you feel at home. Congratulations to the manager and the staff who demonstrated a seriousness and professionalism that I do not see in other restaurants in the US

La Stella Cucina Verace is a must-visit for authentic Italian cuisine in Dallas. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, with live music adding to the ambiance. The food is exquisite, with fresh ingredients and perfectly executed dishes. The service is top-notch, attentive and knowledgeable. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, La Stella is sure to impress.

Unfortunately I cannot write a review of the food itself, we chose the place because is conveniently located across the Meyerson so it made perfect sense to make a reservation and walk 1 min to get dinner. We were received by the super nice host and taken to our table. From there I can only say that we sat at that table approximately 10 min, nobody ever approached us even though I was turning and trying to call some of the waiters. One couple that arrived a few minutes later than us, was approached by one of the owners and it seemed like it was a regular, he got 2 glasses of prosecco right away, menus, etc. We didn't even got water. When we finally decided to leave and walked out, one of the owners even said "thank you, have a good night", I told him, nobody even noticed we were here, and then he looked surprised, when we were at the door, this same owner approached the other owner at the front desk and told him that nobody had noticed us, the other owner didn't even said sorry, good night, nothing. The place looked nice and the food seems great, hopefully another day we will try again once we let this bad taste of the place wear off....

Service was fine, but the food quality wasn’t great and the Frittura Mista was barely edible and was $48. The prices are ridiculous: Charged us $11 a glass for water and $5 a glass for a small Diet Coke on ice. There are a several Italian restaurants in Dallas that have better food and don’t try and rip you off.

First time dining here, we don't dine out often locally given my wife's chef skills and our wine collection. Lighting and sound level in the room was fine; sometimes need to use your phone to read the menu but not the case here. There's apparently live entertainment most nights, and even sitting next to the evening's singer there was no issue holding a conversation among the 3 of us. Sommelier was of great assistance in selecting a wine that met our preferred style and price point, and our server was good as well. We shared meatball, octopus and prosciutto apps which were all solid, particularly the grilled octopus. When we were running low on bread (the truffle butter was great) more bread was quickly brought out., seafood risotto and other pasta dishes were excellent and reasonably prices. 2 ordered the osso bucco which was also excellent though served a bit lukewarm (staff not advised staff). My wife is tough to please when dining out locally and we all really enjoyed the evening. Its a trek downtown from our home but we'll return.

Elegant restaurant whit cuisine exceeding my expectations> New restaurant that is sure to have great success throughout Texas

This Italian restaurant in the Hall Arts District is convenient to the Meyerson or AT&T PAC. We came for restaurant week, so got to sample several dishes. Highlights included the Spartacus (lobster fra diavolo) and linguine ai frutti di mare (seafood linguine).

Wow .... what a Star - (translated as "Stella" in Italian) This is definitely not a "pizza, pasta, salad and red sauce Italian restaurant. Think classy, demur, elegant, fashionable .... The decor includes 1800'ish theater related paintings and prints, very appropriate for being situated directly across the street from the Meyerson and AT+T PAC. We were fortunate to have a Wed reservation because street parking is available on M-W nights and the restaurant was not too busy. Our server, Jhonatan, was very welcoming, polite, attentive and professional. All of our dishes were well conceived, prepared, plated and delicious. Do order the bread service, even if just for the rosemary bread. Beware, the Burrata and beet salad was huge, I'd suggest at least 2 share it. Chicken breast al limone was an ample portion, cooked perfectly with a side of green beans. The swordfish was my favorite - grilled to perfection set on a bed of orzo with a few olives and capers with a little tomato broth - Sicilian style. Wish we had room for a dessert because they seemed so delicious, maybe next time - which will not be too far into the future.

La Stela -the best, hospitable friendly wait staff , tenderloin fabulous , the potatoes are mashed flash fried with garlic butter and rosemary plus the most outstanding Tiramisu on the planet, Thx to Arif the most attentive and kind captain we’ve ever had !

11 members of our family ate here and had an excellent meal. Charcuterie, BP&J, and octopus appetizers were excellent. Branzino was also excellent w/ a lovely cream sauce. Pastas were less good w/ one exception: the spaghetti w/ shrimp was perfect. Bread was good but cost to have. Ended the meal w/ a selection of 3 desserts. Really liked the bread pudding and gelato (6 flavors served on a board to share.). Live music was a good addition. Wine list was almost all Italian and all the red selections were expensive. Our waitress was very attentive and professional. Here is my one complaint: the host was not friendly. Would not take us to our table until all 11 of us were there even though I asked him to accommodate my 90 y/o mother. Nope. So we waited in the bar. Seemed unnecessary since they were not turning the table over. Cost for our party was $1800. 20% tip was added in. Because of the host’s attitude we didn’t add in more.

Seven of us ate here on Christmas Eve and had a wonderful dinner and an amazing experience. There was live music which wasn’t too loud, great ambience and stellar service provided by Eric. We had various charcuterie options, all good but the P,B & J was the best. Bread was excellent but is not complimentary (3 kinds). My branzino was cooked perfectly. We finished w/ 2 gelato feasts for the table which was the right amount. Wine is essentially Italian. Eric helped us make 2 good choices. W/ about $400 of wine (3 bottles) the meal before tip was $1200. Pricey but worth it. We would return.

Pricey, but worth it for the experience! The pianist/singer that they have on Saturday nights is just wonderful! My mother wanted to go here for her birthday and we had just the best time! The pasta with the short ribs was to die for! At first, we were not sure if we wanted to hear a performer throughout the dinner, but the owners have excellent taste, because we were applauding him as though we were at a fantastic concert by the end!

The restaurant ambiance non existent Good average,I had Escalope Milanese It was cooked in old oil Service Good For what it is an expensive restaurant best to avoid

Excellent food , our waiter and the staff great. The reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is your Manager Mike Lafratta ( I hope I spell it ok ) , he is rude and no concern about customer service. We were 13 people and asked for 4 checks , the waiter was working on it and this person overrides him . When my son complains he tells him pay now and leave . Great Manager !!!!

For over 11 years, we have explored the DFW area in search of authentic Italian cuisine, and we have finally discovered a gem in Dallas—La Stella Cucina Verace, conveniently located near the Opera House. This restaurant stands out not only for its stunning and stylish ambiance but also for its mostly excellent service and truly authentic food. Our family comes from small town in Calabria and Naples and we lived much of our lives in Chicago and Boston, we have traveled the world and experienced some of the finest Italian dishes. La Stella ranks among the best. While many of the dishes lean towards the spicier side, generously featuring pepper and Calabrian chiles, the flavors are nothing short of magnificent. Our party indulged in a variety of dishes, including seafood risotto, traditional spaghetti, branzino, and peppered gnocchi. The highlight, however, was the cannoli—arguably the best this side of Mike’s Pastry in Boston’s North End. These delightful treats are worth a trip in themselves. That said, the restaurant is not without its flaws. Two issues stood out to us, though they may not be significant to everyone. Firstly, if you enjoy hard liquor, be prepared to order a double, as the pours are quite small, especially considering the $18 price tag. Secondly, we found it curious that upon arrival and again from the captain, we were asked if we were celebrating anything special. When we mentioned our 55 years of marriage, we expected some acknowledgment—perhaps a complimentary dessert or a round of drinks. Instead, we received nothing, save for a shot of Limoncello that three of us did not enjoy. It felt like a missed opportunity for a special touch. In conclusion, La Stella Cucina Verace offers excellent food, attentive service, and a beautiful atmosphere, all at prices you would expect for such quality. Despite a couple of minor setbacks, I highly recommend it for anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience.

La Stella Cucina Verace in Dallas is an elegant yet inviting Italian gem. The restaurant exudes a warm, upscale ambiance, perfect for a romantic dinner or special night out. The handmade pastas and authentic Italian dishes are rich in flavor and beautifully presented—I especially love their truffle-infused creations and perfectly cooked seafood. The service is attentive without being overbearing, making the whole experience feel special. Whether you're a fan of classic Italian or looking for something refined and unique, La Stella delivers a truly memorable dining experience.

Had dinner tonight at La Stella and it was amazing. My new favorite for Italian food. The food is traditional Italian food that tastes like what I had when visiting Bologna. The service was perfect from waiter, to both owners stopping by for a chat. They make some great cocktails and also have a nice wine selection. The atmosphere is romantic and the food was great. We started with the PB&J which is burrata with fig jam. My wife had the Gnocchi Cacio Pepe Tartufo and I had the Pappardelle Stellari. For dessert we had the TANTE Pale. The food, cocktails, wine, and service were top notch. I especially like how active the owners are in the dining room and they make you feel very welcome. I can't wait to go again and try other menu items.
Amazing service, atmosphere and food in Dallas!
