This was my second visit to this restaurant, it is the best Mexican Food so have eaten in Las Vegas. The food is delicious and service is top-notch. The guacamole is noteworthy, if you enjoy guacamole I highly recommend trying it. If you are in the mood for Mexican Food, this restaurant is a great choice.

The food and staff were amazing! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly as well. The decorations are unique as well. The food came out quickly and looked great! I would absolutely recommend and come again.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I have eaten at in Las Vegas. The food is authentic and the flavors are remarkable. The restaurant is very busy, so be prepared for a slight wait, but the food is worth the wait. If you enjoy guacamole I suggest just ordering it with chips and salsa. The guacamole is outstanding and you will have enough afterwards for your meal, since the guacamole portion size is quite large. The tortillas are homemade and fresh, they will enhance the flavor of whatever you order. I ordered the Alambres and the entree was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant. La Vecindad is my favorite Mexican Food restaurant in Las Vegas. The food and service are outstanding. Be warned you may have a slight wait, this restaurant is very popular and fills up very fast. They serve a lot of authentic Mexican dishes and there salsa is incredible. If you enjoy Mexican food, you must try La Vecindad.

Had to try it since it’s Best in Vegas. Truly authentic experience- from the food, service, and place. The staff entertained us thru the night. Service was great and helpful. Menu is extensive. For starters- the chips and salsa were delicious- warning don’t over eat it - make room for your meals, which are huge. I enjoyed the birria de res- delicious, full of flavors. Burritos and sandwiches are huge. Make sure to make room for dessert. Place gets busy but worth the total experience.

Opened in 2016 by Vanessa Barreat and Raul Martinez-Olmos La Vecindad has quickly earned notoriety for its celebratory ambiance, a setting well-suited for birthday parties or wakes where the spacious confines allow guests to spread out and enjoy homestyle plates created from scratch in the kitchen. “Pico De Gallo” per staff, Raul and Vanessa’s beginnings as a Food stand outside the flea market furthering a mom n’ pop story, it is amidst pinatas and bright colors that diners are treated to gracious service while traditional music plays on overhead speakers. Located in the complex at 953 East Sahara Avenue, not exactly the nicest part of Sin City with a swinger’s bar adjacent and an infamous hookah bar not far, dinner began with watery Salsa and Chips from a bag alongside well-priced Drinks including stiff Margaritas or Aguas Frescas for those who opt not to imbibe. Open at 10am for Café de Olla and Cochas, the menu sprawling from Burritos and Enchilado to decidedly inauthentic Fajitas, La Vecindad’s “everything to everyone” approach has worked remarkably well as evidenced by “Best of Las Vegas” accolades that seem best justified in a sopping wet Pambazo ordered down the way and complex Mole unfortunately compromised by overcooked Chicken Legs that is thankfully good enough to eat with just housemade Tortillas. THREE STARS: Difficult to properly assess with just two plates plus complimentary Chips La Vecindad’s appeal relies strongly on décor and low prices that unfortunately see cheaper cuts of Meat utilized in both Steak Fajitas and Chicken beneath excellent Mole.

My son and I decided to try this place at the recommendation of Dan The Medic on YouTube. He said and I verified, that La Vecindad had a rating of 4.8 with almost 8K reviews on GOOGLE. On May 14th we dined at Vecindad. The restaurant is in a sketchy part of E Sahara known as Commercial Shopping Center. The exterior is quaint with murals on the building and a taxi. Once you enter, you are REQUIRED to show proof of being over 21 years old since its a bar/ restaurant. The couple in front of us were required to show ID before entrance and he was 879 and she was 68. RIDIULOUS, The interior is cure with laundry hanging from clothes lines and other interesting pieces. This is more of a bar atmosphere with only 3 dining booths and the rest are 4 top tables with uncomfortable chairs. . We asked for some tap water and were brought out bottled water which you are charged for. We also ordered tea and were brought out bottled tea. Just another way to make money. The complimentary chips and dip were tasty but the chips were all broken into SMALL pieces. I had the Chili Colorado which I DID NOT like and my son had some ceviche shrimp dish which he liked. I found the beef to be a little tough and the mole or sauce to be not to my liking. Sauces differ from restaurant to restaurant, but even my son said it had an off taste. Service was very lacking. It appeared that the waiter was also a host, busboy, and bartender. With all the positive reviews, I was hoping for a better dinner. I would give the dinner and experience a 7/10. My son said he would return, but I am skeptical.

Weekend fun times at this restaurant tucked in an old strip mall just a few miles fron the Strip. Decor is really festive like a Mexican fiesta. Servers wear different outfits for fun. Even have a Mexican singer crooning " Sabor A Mi" The food is muy delicioso, really authentic taste - not Tex-Mex. Al pastor tacos and menudo are our favorites. They have a special coffee that has chocolate notes and served with a cinnamon stick straw. The free chips and salsa came with specially-prepared salsa as well. Don't miss trying it when in Vegas.

I visit this restaurant every trip to Las Vegas. It’s the best Mexican Food I have had in the area, for a very affordable price. This is a local establishment and gets very crowded, so be prepared for a slight wait, but it is worth it.

Ate lunch recently with business colleagues. Food and service was amazing. Had a 30 minute wait at lunch but definitely worth it. Every plate was exceptional. Location is off the beaten path but worth the effort.

Don’t let the location worry you about this place it is off the off the strip Once inside the people were very friendly making sure you had plenty of chips and delicious salsa. My friend ordered the beef and chicken Chimichanga very well seasoned and rice and beans tasty. My wife ordered a sandwich with pork Carnita, cheese, onions, sliced avocado it was full of flavor. I had the pork Carnita plate it was another favorite. Would come back when I return to Vegas!

La Vecindad Restaurant in Las Vegas might attract El Chavo del Ocho fans with its themed decor, but overall, it falls short of being a memorable experience. The decorations are minimal—a few photo props and character cutouts, a small replica of the washing area from the show, and some paintings on the outside wall. The only real novelty was the iconic El Chavo barrel inside the restaurant, which my son enjoyed going in and out of, just like El Chavo does in the show. While these touches are nice, they feel sparse and don’t fully capture the spirit of the beloved set. Unfortunately, the food was also a letdown. The flavors were bland, and while the dishes were edible, they lacked any real taste or effort. The service was equally disappointing. The waitress dressed as Doña Clotilde (La Bruja del 71) didn’t have a very serving attitude; she seemed disinterested in helping and even refused a simple request to add beans to my son’s chorizo and egg taco—something you’d expect any restaurant to accommodate. The staff costumes attempt to capture the essence of the characters, but they miss the mark. Overall, La Vecindad seems to rely too heavily on El Chavo nostalgia without delivering quality food or attentive service. I’d rate it a 5 out of 10—it’s worth a quick photo if you’re a fan, but not much beyond that. I was expecting much more.

What a great spot! This is a do not miss spot when visiting Las Vegas. Off the beaten path but we'll worth it. Drinks were great and food was OUTSTANDING! We ordered steak nachos, albondigas soup and flautas and let me tell you, right there with the best I've ever had (especially the soup!). The service was so far above what everyone is used to nowadays! I would rate this place higher but it only has 5 stars to choose from!

Found this restaurant by mistake - and SO glad we did! As the only non-Latino couple in the restaurant, this place was rocking. People laughing/enjoying their lunches/having a drink. Super interesting items on the menu. I tried the Alambre ($19.99). Seared steak +bell peppers etc, covered with Monterey jack cheese. So big we could have shared this one lunch entree. Hubby ordered grilled chicken tacos ($14.99) and enjoyed his lunch too. Handmade tortillas were excellent. Service friendly and quick. All staff wear costumes from the Mexican children’s show that is the theme of the restaurant.

It is a wonderful experience the food is delicious, the Service and the Mood are very nice, you can not miss it, 100% recommended

If you like show “El Chavo De Ocho” you need to experience this restaurant All the servers are very friendly and food is delicious. Handmade corn tortillas. The tortas are huge. We order one but we didn’t noticed there are 3 size to them. The regular one can feed 3 people.
Fun place away from the Strip
The vibe was really fun. Everybody was having a good time. The menu is pretty extensive and everything that came out looked pretty good. The staff is super attentive. Would definitely come back with friends or family. The café de olla was delicious!
