We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around downtown Seattle, and it was a delightful find. Our waiter couldn't have been friendlier, more patient (since we were waiting for someone to join us) or more helpful, and his suggestions delivered. All six of us ordered something different so sharing was a must and we all agreed the food was excellent. Large portions for dinner. I would definitely return. My cannelloni was superb but there was still enough to share! I would definitely return there on a future trip to Seattle. The only downside was it was a bit noisy with the accordion player but we were still able to converse and it did lend an air of Italy.

The owner/manager/waiter---all three went out of their way to be generous, helpful, attentive, and generally make sure we had an excellent time! And it worked, we ate here three times (each dish was yummy!) during our stay!

I’m not one to leave reviews, I’m too lazy but when I read the review that said “Mediocre”, i couldn’t not say anything. I was also here on Christmas Day and “Mediocre” it definitely was not!! The food was sensational, I loved everything I ate and everything I drank. The place was rammed to the rafters and the atmosphere was Electric. I am a Londoner and I have eaten in plenty of top Italian restaurants in London and this place is as good as anything in London or anywhere else for that matter. Service was bang on when you consider how busy it was. I would come back here in a heartbeat and the next time I’m in Seattle it will be my first port of call. Can’t recommend this place enough, don’t walk by, walk in, you won’t regret it!

We took friends to La Vita E’ Bella a place we’d dined at before. It was very good then it was excellent this time. The wood fired pizza delicious the Salsiccia and the Pepperoni large well cooked and full of tasty fresh ingredients. The spaghetti carbonara top marks and the Pollo Cacciatore nicely cooked. A very reasonably priced bottle of montepulciano very good. The service from a very helpful knowledgable server and the mood lighting added to a perfect atmosphere for a cosy dinner. Our local favourite

On Saturday, September 14th 2024 two of my friends and I were walking down 2nd street in Seattle looking for somewhere to eat. A very friendly gentleman that works at La Vita E Bella saw us looking at the menu and invited us inside. He said that the kitchen would be closing soon, but they would be happy to serve us. We sat down and started looking over the menu. After a few minutes our server came over and stated - "The kitchen is closing in 5 minutes. You need to order now before it closes." She rolled her eyes when of us took too long to decide what to order. She then NEVER CAME BACK TO THE TABLE. Another nice man who worked there checked on us, made sure we had water, and asked about our meals. One of the meals was incorrect. We planned to talked to the server when she returned, but that never happened. The server was visible almost the entire time we were at the table. She was busy chatting with other employees and standing behind the bar. When our check came I told her I would like to talk to her. She said "What?!?" I told that she was rude when we arrived and then came back to the table. I wanted all of the tip money to go to the young man who served us. She attempted to grab the check out of my hand, and then proceeded to yell that we were "bitter b!tch3s" so everyone in the restaurant could hear. Then she threw our check on the bar and told us we could come get our own check because she wasn't bringing it to us. A different server brought us our check and started apologizing for what was happening. Then our original server came back and started screaming at us that she had to work an entire shift and then had to "deal with us." She then proceeded to scream that we needed to get the f$#k out over and over again. We left the restaurant and were offered more kindness by the second server who apologized and let us know that the name of the screaming server was Ella. Make sure if you go to La Vita E Bella that Ella is not working. Everyone else at the restaurant was kind and helpful. She was the worst nightmare possible for a server. Not only will I never eat there again, I will make sure that everyone I know hears about this experience and stays away.

Staff was very friendly and on point with service and menu selections! There pizza is very good! We will be back!

Such great service and he food will not disappoint! Great for delicious pasta, seafood, and wine! We will be back!

Visited Seattle with our friends and their son from the UK. As we were staying in Belltown Court and we all love great Italian Cuisine, how fortunate there was La Vita E Bella Ristorante in the same building! Reviews looked promising! We made reservations for 6:30 pm on Saturday Oct 19th. Upon arrival, it was evident they did not record our reservation as we were asked for a name to be added to the waiting list. We were seated about 10 minutes later. It took some time for the server to take our drink orders which we received after another ten minutes. Ordered the Caesar Salad…it was very fresh and well prepared…enough for 3 of us! We ordered our mains…my wife had the Spaghetti di Mare, our guests had the Cannelloni, Penne al Pesto and their son ordered the spaghetti and meatballs…me!, I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca!...only to be told by the server, “we are out of Veal”. Inside voice… it’s 7:00 pm on a Saturday, how could the restaurant be out of Veal!? OK…disappointed, I ordered the Lasagna. The mains arrived. Our guests really enjoyed their meals…their son said the spaghetti sauce was too salty…my wife stated the di Mare was “just…OK”. My Lasagna…hmm…looked more like a stew!. No layers of pasta…no cheese to speak of and why are there carrots in my Lasagna!? I had a few forkfuls…it was too salty and in no way was it proper Italian Lasagna! I could not eat it. Soon after, in the restaurant, I bumped into an employee. The person asked me “how did you enjoy your meal? Told them about the lack of Veal and surprised, they said “we have lots of Veal!” I then noticed the owner, Giuseppe Forte near our table. I asked him to come over and explained my disappointment in the apparent lack of veal and my opinion of the Lasagna. He told me the Lasagna was the Sicilian recipe…I’ve never had carrots in Lasagna before. He told me they use the same sauce in both the spaghetti and lasagna…no wonder both tasted too salty! He then mentioned they did have veal, however the restaurant was very busy and veal takes time to prepare. I mentioned I was a contributor to Trip Advisor. Giuseppe offered to comp my Lasagna…told him it wasn’t necessary. As were about to settle our bill, the “inattentive” server came to our table and asked…”Did you have 2 or 3 bottles of wine? Umm…shouldn’t you know? In any event, the Lasagna was comped and we left less than pleased with our experience…certainly not”Bella!”

We have been to La Vita E' Bella many times and keep coming back for the same reason. The welcome is warm and genuine, the service impeccable, and, of course, the food never disappoints! The spaghetti and meatballs special tonight was utterly satisfying. Wonderful food and staff make this our "regular."

After walking all day at Brainbridge Island, we wanted to go somewhere closeby for dinner which didn't require a long walk. This place was literally just outside of our condo apt. It was the perfect place.....great salad (sharable), and wonderful pizza. The waiter, Daniel, warned us that the salads were large when we both started to order one, so we chose to split one. We appreciated the heads-up from him. We also were able to add an ingredient to our pizza without any problem. For a small place the wine menu has a large selection of Italian wine. The place was very crowded on a Friday night, with people waiting in line to get in. But in spite of the crowd waiting, Daniel, our Italian waiter, encouraged us to take our time to finish our wine. Just like they do in Italy, the table was ours as long as we wanted it! This is a great place and we would visit again on a future trip to Seattle.

Got here late for dinner craving Spaghetti Carbonara. Service was a bit odd, but the food came quickly and was phenomenal! It really made my trip to Seattle. Heading out tomorrow with a great memory of the place! Was true to my memory of the proper way of serving the dish. And I have had many many failed attempts. It is such a simple dish and when served as such is truly remarkable! Can't wait until I return and can have it again!

I was in the mood for some Alfredo and the guy at my hotel suggested this place as it was his go to date location. It was far enough from the hub bub and we got there early enough that there wasn't a crowd. I was upset to see that Alfredo was not on the menu but quickly turned my frown upside down when the waiter told me they could make it. You could tell the pasta was freshly made and my niece's pizza was also made with fresh dough. They kept the water glasses full as well. I would recommend this place for a good meal.

Excellent pasta dishes. Enjoyed the Gnocchi and Rigatoni with mushrooms and sausage. Finished off a great afternoon visiting the Seattle city center.

Asked our hotel for a good Italian Restaurant. We were given great advise. The menu had lots to offer and the food was delicious. I had homemade fettuccine in a creamed mushroom and sausage sauce. Heavenly. The waiters were very attentive. When i return ( and I will) this will be on the top to do in Seattle.

Walking back from the Space Needle we happened upon La Vita! Oh man we had a great time. The lady serving us made us laugh as did the Chef when we finished our meal and showed us the very big carving knife. Thanks for the laugh. Our meals were great and we were so glad we came in. See you again. June and Nelson

We were staying in Belltown on 1st avenue and found this place which was so close to our condos. OK prices such as plain caesar salad for $10, chicken cacciatore for $22. Nice atmosphere, good service.

Had a late lunch here with four teens, 13-17. We shared 3 pizzas and two salads. Attentive service, though it wasn’t to busy just before afternoon closing, so perhaps not the best test. Salads were good sized with fresh ingredients. But what will bring me back is the pizza itself. My preference is for a thinner crust, but not so thin all it is is crunch. These succeeded. Great crust, tasty topping. Can make your own build choices. If you like traditional pizza, dine here.

Delicious food all around. I ordered the mushroom and sausage crepes. Well balanced and filled with flavor. My coworker ordered the margarita pizza and said that it was a good pizza not a great one but a good one! Another got the other dish and loved it as well. On the list for next trip!

First time at this restaurant. The food is authentic Italian. The Miso salad is very good but plan to split with someone. Both Lasagna and Carbonara were amazing. The staff works in teams so we were well cared for. Great Belltown find.

My wife and I are Gluten Free, and she is Italian, so as we were walking by earlier in the day we looked to see if they had GF pasta.... no luck - but we DID see something that caught our eyes... the Chicken Piccata.... so we came back for dinner. SO GLAD WE CAME BACK!!! The dish was amazing - the service was great and we were able to land one of the small tables on the sidewalk and watch Seattle pass us by. Of course we will eat here next time in town!!!

Dinner was great! Closest we ever got to a Trattoria in the US. Food was well prepared. I think it was the seasoning that made it. Final comment - the waiter chose the house wine for us - it worked, great pairing

Place was just as amazing as the service. Ordered the daily special which was the crab ravioli and a pizza to share, the pizza was really good and the pasta was extra amazing. This place can be a little on the pricier side but it is worth it if your looking for a nice night out.

Great service & wonderful food places this neighborhood restaurant on my list of national favorite eateries. Recommended by our wonderful bartender at Red Cedar & Sage, we strolled up 2nd Ave for supper: we were glad that we did. “Vacation get-aways” are supposed to include activities one doesn’t do under normal circumstances, so living a suburban life at home doesn’t afford a walk through city streets at rush hour dodging rushed pedestrians vying for a better position in a bus queue, but we did last night and I enjoyed the change of pace; although we were pacing slowly compared to other passers by. Take a walk and remember what heartfelt meal preparation is all about by ordering literally anything off the menu (because it all looked appealing) and soak up a little life with some crusty bread & your spouse’s smiles.

We stopped here after visiting several local sights on vacation. The restaurant was very casual and comfortable, our waiter was very friendly, and the food was all excellent. We ordered the cannelloni, the pesto penne, and a pizza, plus 4 delicious desserts. We would definitely return here.

Excellent Italian restaurant. Authentic pasta dishes. An adequate wine selection. We had a late dinner there after arriving early evening from out of town. Service was good. Food is excellent. Prices were in the 20’s for most entries. You can sit outside if you wish.

We have been to this restaurant 3 times in the last 5 weeks and will be returning many more times over the next few years. My wife and 3 children come in to have lunch with me each week and the first week we were walking along in the rain and ducked in here and have not regretted it since. With young children (3, 5 and under) there seems to be limited places suited for lunch but they love it here and always ask that we return here each time for lunch and the food is so great and well priced that we have no problem complying. We always share as everything is too tasty to miss out on something. The staff are amazing and so great to our kids. We love this place and highly recommend that you try it yourself.

While most of the "Italian" restaurant we visited before bear just the name "Italian", La Vita E'Bella offers genuine food from the Apennine Peninsula. We reached the venue on the way back from Space Needle and just 10 minutes before the mid day pause, yet were given a superb service despite. Fabulous quality of all dishes ordered plus a friendly and "to the point" service. If we visit Seattle again, this is on a must-go list. Definitely.

We had a salad and speciality pizza that was delicious! The ingredients tasted very fresh and the crust was not thick or thin. Nice environment and good service! This is a definitely "try again"!

My wife and I ate here since we were staying next door. We made reservations and had to wait a bit for our table, but tolerable. The food was plentiful, but somewhat bland. They did not have a host/hostess on duty and we seemed to be served by several people so it was hard to know which person is responsible for bringing us the check which seemed to not be a priority despite that there was still a line to be seated. Will think twice about going back if we are in the area.

Was recommended to come here by hotel receptionist, Had a lovely Salmon Pasta and partner a lasagna, good sevice and typical Italian restuarant.

I was recently in Seattle with 8 adult family members, and we went back here for three meals total (various combinations from 2-5 people), during just a few days. The service was great each time, and the meals were fresh and full of flavour. Between us all we ordered pizzas, gnocchi, mussels, some other seafood stuff (I'm not a fan, but still looked great)...everything smelled and tasted delicious.

This is our favorite Italian food spot - great service, very good prices, nice ambiance. The gnocchi, bolognese and lasagna are delicious.

During one of our frequent tips to the Seattle waterfront, we asked our hotel shuttle driver for a recommendation for a really good Italian restaurant in Downtown Seattle. He quickly said, "La Vita E' Bella" and, boy, was he spot on with his advice. Needless to say, his tips grew in the days following this great recommendation and so did our requests for his advice on ho to enjoy Seattle. The cuisine at La Vita E' Bella is excellent - authentic Italian, with super prices for super food. Moreover, we really enjoyed a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere and our table service was top notch.

We ate three times at La Vita E Bella. The lunch was a treasure---all home made including an excellent minestrone with superb hot garlic bread and a pasta whose cream sauce was flavor incarnate. We were returned for a large group dinner and a small group dinner. In all visits, again excellent classic Italian food, delish delish delish. Service at lunch was friendly, helpful, welcoming. At the two dinner visits, service was a little brusque.

It seemed like real Italian food served by Italian staff. But, it wasn't that great. Worse was that the two different salads (not the dressing as we ordered them undressed) we ordered were too salty to eat. Salt on a green salad? When we returned them barely eaten and said something to the waiter, there was no offer to take them off the bill. We shouldn't have had to ask. SHAME. For that alone, the rating would be a 1 star.

We were exploring the Belltown area last night and were so pleased we came across this laid back restaurant. Atmosphere charming, food (pizza and crepe) were very tasty and served piping hot. Great service as well and we thought great value.

This place is the perfect neighborhood Italian restaurant. My daughter loved the meatballs and spaghetti. The caprese salad was perfect. Even the table bread had the prefect crunch and softness. They were playing good music at a reasonable volume so we could still talk. The friendly staff and good ambiance put my entire family in a good mood after a long day of walking around in the heat.

The food and service. A very nice experience on my first evening in Seattle. And the lemon shooter at the end of the meal was amazing!

I loved the atmosphere of the place. My husband and I both enjoyed our pasta with seafood dishes. I had the seafood with freshly made spaghetti. The seafood in both our dishes was very fresh and not at all overcooked. I didn't know until that night that pasta itself could be fragrant! It smelled and tasted like freshly baked til golden homemade bread. I ate every bite and used the bread at the table, also good, to sop up every last drop, which also picked up the toasted pasta flavor. Service is good, and you can eat outdoors there. We opted not to because traffic was rather loud that day. They also have gluten-free pasta, but just one type, I think rigatoni.

Staying in Belltown this place was right next door. We had the same great server both nights. Once just two of us and then we brought our group of students here a couple nights later. Get the Tartuffe, you won’t regret it.

I went there with my family. The food is amazing. Quality of the plates are perfect. The bread is even better.

My daughter and I were staying over the night and were heading to WWU the next morning and found this little gem. The waiter answered all of our questions and was very attentive during our meal. My daughter had the Lasagna and I had the Spaghetti Carbonara. Both dishes were very scrumptious and the last time I had Carbonara that was true to Italian recipe, was in Italy of course. Was told that the owner makes sure that the recipes from the old country stay true. Everyone was very friendly and even the chef came to the table to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Little touches like that make a place great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Made a reservation on open table for 9:45. Arrived early but kitchen was closing. Owner accommodated and made the best veal saltimbocca I have had in years. Order the amarone wine and the lemoncello. Thank you Sean.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch after simply walking by. What a wonderful surprise. My husband’s house red was on point, a spinach salad had a delightful vinaigrette and his rigatoni tartufo was out of this world! My Fiorello panini was fresh and crisp - could have used a little more bite in my opinion - some vinegar perhaps, but all in all, this was a terrific find. Service was friendly and the tab was reasonable. Can’t wait to come back!

First, this is the best meal I have had in 12 years when it comes to Italian.. This coming from one who lived abroad!!! This is not Olive Garden microwave food.. So if your taste buds have been destroyed you will never understand... This small little restaurant on 2nd st is a must go!!!! It's like they have grandma, Oma, in the back pressing homemade pasta and you just want too go give her a hug.. Highly recommend to get a bottle of wine, set outside an enjoy Seattle....

Come on TA this place has the worst service!! And they don't care which is worse. 20 mins no service had to go inside. Took our order, still nothing. Had to ask about everything all the way why??? Just bad service. And him order the carbonara and just a dry mess. No.

Our service was just OK but the meal was fantastic. We had the house red wine, Classica Bruschette, Cannelloni, Filet Mignon and followed up with 2 espressos & dessert. Perfect for a birthday meal for 2 adults while vacation. The restaurant wasn't very busy for dinner, but it was also a Monday. I would try La Vita E' Bella again.

Amazing food and very reasonably priced! We had the crab ravioli - yum, yum, yum! Plenty of crab and homemade ravioli, naturally. The staff are very friendly. They also have a fantastic wine selection.

Best Italian for two in Seattle. Best hidden gem in Belltown! The mushroom crepe was so delicious, along with homemade (all pasta is homemade) cheese ravioli and meat sauce (like little clouds of heaven) and the tartelle was so creamy with extra delicious italian sausage. Nice cocktail list, plus don't forget the homemade cannoli and velvety Cappuccino. A must whilst in Seattle!

Lavita E Bella is a good choice for your Italian Cravings! When you are in Seattle and the SUN is out, call and make a reservation for the Outside Patio. A fun and great place to eat and people watch. Now to the food and if you want to keep up with the Seattle Seafood Theme…go for the Cioppino! So I owned an Italian restaurant so I have HIGH standards for anyone with Cioppino on the menu. Lavita E Bella Restaurant Seattle – has a good Cioppino and you should try it. Loaded with calamari, mussels, prawns, with a spicy white wine garlic sauce. Then of course any restaurant with Veal Saltimbocca on the menu had better do it right! Veal scallopine topped with proscuitto and a white wine butter sauce, if done right, is the BEST Italian dish you will ever have. Lavita E Bella Restaurant Seattle – has a good Veal Satlimbocca and you must try it! Great Sauce and the veal was cooked perfectly!

Great Italian food without traveling to Sicily and Italy. Both appetizers that we ordered were large portions and tasted fantastic. Antipasti Gamberoni Cipolla was served on a bed of spinach. The Bruschette Melanzane was served on a bed of mixed greens. Spaghetti al Porro and Spaghetti Polpette were both excellent. The wine list prices were reasonable and the Primitivo Lucarelli was an excellent choice. We will return in the future and ask to be seated away from the front door. Sitting outside would be an option in the summer.

Must admit I was a little worried at first as it took a long time to get service, but after that everything was great. Actually the service turned out to be pretty good and the staff were willing to be flexible to change the menu to fit our fussy family. The pizzas were excellent and the fish was really nicely cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.

My wife and I stayed at a nearby apartment and had both lunch and dinner at th is restaurant. The food is good and reasonably priced. The service is quite good. The menu for lunch and dinner is extensive. A place to seek out if you're in the area.

Found this gem while wandering the street looking for a nice dinner spot. Such a nice atmosphere, well informed staff and excellent food. Would definitely recommend!

Looking for something non-touristy following a day of sightseeing in Seattle. This little gem came up on a list of restaurants and we decided it sounded good - it also tasted good!! We had gnocchi and ravioli with porcini mushrooms. The service was impeccable and the food was fresh. Don't skip the lemon ice desserts - a nice light ending to a fabulous meal.

Visited Seattle. Party of 10. Enjoyed by all. Pizzas are tasty and nice for two to share with a salad. Would definitely return

Looked great from outside and we got an outside table straight away. Ordered a bottle of wine and some bruschetta to begin. Took 15 minutes for this to come out, and annoyed when people who came in well after us received theirs before us. I had ordered Veal Scallopini and was again disappointed when it was obviously a slice of meat not a scallop. It wasn't too bad. My wife enjoyed her meal which was chicken. Service is pretty disorganised, and it was not a busy night (Tuesday)

We enjoyed our dinner at this homey, unpretentious but pleasant Italian restaurant. The menu was quite extensive with lots of choices. Service was helpful and attentive, and our food was fresh and tasty. The bill was very affordable, and we took home leftovers for another day. We were able to book ahead online-another plus!

Excellent and authentic Italian food. Wire selection was good. Service was excellent. Entrees were piping hot. Table spacing was nice

My wife and I are in Seattle for a little vacation. We love Italian food and if it can be had along with feeling like you are in Italy, that's all the better. I am rating La Vita E' Bella 5 for the total experience. Sean our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. He steered us to our menu choice and wine selection with skill and charm. The restaurant has a cozy, fun Italian feel. Lastly, the food was very good. I would rate the food alone as a 4, but totally fine. I can heartedly recommend La Vita E' Bella as a place to have a meal, wine and enjoy the good life:)

We were staying nearby and tried this italian restaurant. Good range of food, attentive staff and enjoyable evening

This is a great find, not far from Space Needle area and very close to our accommodation. We booked in for 730pm on a Saturday night. A great welcome from the boss, and we were swiftly sat down. The staff were attentive. Some great Italian dishes were on the menu. I opted for a pizza; which was very tasty (couldn’t finish it, so took the remainder home in a box). Decent value as well. I would definitely recommend

Slightly dated Italian atmosphere. Good food, average service. Nothing special but a handy find for this area.

This restaurant was amazing. The food was great and the service outstanding. The price was reasonable for the quality of the food.

Cool and dark dining room, complete with a man playing music. We tried a calzone and some gnocchi, total bill was $40 and food was decent, but not great.

Enjoyed a nice meal with the family in a hole-in-the-wall type place. And I mean that in the nicest way. All of our dishes were really good, favorite being the carbonara. Small but reasonable wine list. Great service by Jordan. Highly recommend.

I booked this restaurant by telephone for my wife's birthday, as it had mostly had good reviews on tripadvisor. We were staying in Seattle on the way to Alaska from the UK. It must be stated that we had no reason to know that the date we had booked was Labor day in the US (a completely alien concept), and the impact that might have. Nevertheless, if a restaurant takes a phone booking for a day and time, there should be an expectation of food and service - which did not really happen for us. At 8pm, which we now discover was a late booking time for this restaurant, the place was emptying out, but was still noisy with diners and drinkers. It took some time for our server to attend to us, and when we ordered, we were told that the restaurant had run out of pizzas (despite calling itself a pizza restaurant), could not make crepes, as they had run out of cream and various other things were off the menu. We ordered on the basis of that it was getting so late, that there were unlikely to be any other local venues that were open. Initially our server brought us one meal, and then remembering that there were two of us, took it back, and eventually two meals were produced, with the first one clearly having been kept warm somewhere. I had veal and my wife had a basic chicken dish - pollo Milanese. They were poor, and the broccoli served with mine was so al dente that the provided knife could not cut it!!!! They knew they had done wrong, and offered us two complimentary deserts (presumably what they had left, as they were just about to close) and a couple of limoncellos. Without saying so, it was made clear that they just wanted us to leave, but not until they had added an automatic 18% gratuity to the bill. I could be criticised for not knowing how things would be in Seattle on Labor day, but the bottom line is that the place took the booking, and could not provide a decent product. I can only guess that the cook had gone home by the time we ordered, and we were not the only ones who found that their presence was tantamount to being unwanted. They ruined my wife's birthday outing and my reputation for choosing restaurants. So you might be lucky like most of the customers, but would you want to take a chance on going somewhere where you might find the menu was closed and they really did not want you. A restaurant should provide what it offers and treat customers equally.

Absolutely fantastic pasta. My wife ordered spaghetti carbonara and I ordered the Fettuccine Tartufo. Spaghetti and fettuccine were cooked to perfection. Carbonara was excellent (and, with apologies to a previous reviewer, we could have crafted the sauce at home - but that is virtually always the case with a pasta dish - which, to me is not a criticism). The Fettuccine Tartufo sauce included Italian sausage and mushrooms in a fabulous cream sauce with some truffle oil. Could have made that at home, too, but why would I go to that trouble when I can get this beautiful sauce made by an expert? We did have a bit of difficulty determining who our server actually was, but they were always attentive, and we never lacked for anything. The wine list is short, but complete. The wine prices are remarkably reasonable as are the food prices. Loved this place and highly recommend it for a casual planned or spur-of-the-moment dinner.

Just walking by we found this restaurant. Loved the authentic Italian taste. Highly recommended. The breasaola with arugula is just like being in Italy.

I am sure the food would have tasted excellent had we been able to experience it in a warmer atmosphere! The staff insisted on leaving the front door open even though the outdoor temperature was around 40 degrees. When I complained, their response was “it is cold in here”. My family and I had to wear our coats throughout the entire meal.

We stumbled upon this gem on our first night in Seattle as it was right beside the condo we were renting. The food was amazing - dinner for 4 and 4 fabulous meals. The service was great and the food came out very quickly. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

Food was great, after traveling all day . and waitress know the wines well enough to make a resonable and good recommendatio

The meal was delicious. The service top rate. The ambiance wonderful. The cost most reasonable. In total, a pretty complete combination for a great night out with your honey.

The Caesar Salad is huge. Great dressing and fresh lettuce. The ravioli bolognese was incredible. I stared at a fuse box and cluttered corner during dinner was the only downside.

We went for dinner-very quick service! We had lasagna and a fettuccine special. Both were delicious, prices were reasonable—definitely recommend!

The food here is authentic and delicious - anytime spaghetti and meatballs is a special, order it! We had a great time enjoying dinner with friends and family while the owner, Giuseppe, waited on us. He was extremely kind and accommodating! The atmosphere itself is cozy and transports you to Italy for an hour or so. Make sure you save room for dessert!

The pesce cioppino was excellent esp it’s fresh tomato broth and clams. Pizza had a lovely crust. Even the bread was good. The service was fine; we were seated quickly without reservations and we didn’t wait long for the food. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the pasta while sitting outside on the patio. Our hotel suggested this restaurant and it lived up to expectations.

We went to this restaurant and sat outside. Our food was wonderful as were our cocktails. Harpreet was excellent. We recommend to anyone in Lisbon!

In our continuing search around Seattle for Italian food, while I was downtown about to go to the airport to pick-up some guests, I wandered into LVeB. I see the reviews are all over the place regarding this establishment, but I found an efficient staff and the food was good. For those concerned about germs in this unending virus situation, perhaps you'll want to sit outside this summer. I had a simple meal of the house red, some bread on the side (of course) and a chicken cacciatore. This was a chicken breast with various veggies in a tomato sauce. Quite tasty. The olives in fact made the dish, giving a little sharp taste every now and then. Although it was a Tuesday night, the restaurant was packed. Compared to some yuppie favorites like la Roca, this was not expensive. I would go in here again to try some other things. The house red wine was quite palatable, I have to ask them what it is...

We were walking the streets looking for a place for dinner. We ended up here, mostly because it had a nice outdoor area and the weather was perfect. The staff was friendly helpful, if just a little slow. To be fair he seemed to be the only waiter. The food was amazing, very traditional Italian. Don't expect american Italian. Even their wine selection was all from Italy. The Tiramisu was perfect. Really enjoyed the dinner and the atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

We dined here on a weekday without having issues in finding a place to sit. Two of us ordered pizza, while another person ordered pasta. The pasta portions are generous and overall it had a good taste. The pizza dough is soft and Italian-like, just like you'd find in a "pizzeria" in Italy. Menu isn't long but still you get a lot of choices. Service was ok as well as the ambience.

Everything here was perfect for our Christmas dinner in Seattle. Our wine was delicious and everyone raved about the food. Desserts were probably our least favorite, but were still tasty. Best pasta we've had in a long time. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Loved the accordion player next to use. It was entertaining and we had a fabulous time.

We were looking for a good Italian meal at the end of the day. We stopped in and were seated right away wait staff was friendly and had good recommendations. Food was good but nothing outstanding. Overall a good experience.

My wife and I go to La Vita Bella on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. We have also brought our friends who have become regulars. The owner, Giuseppe, is always welcoming. All the pizza and pasta we have had to date are excellent and the desserts have been very good.

We had a spectacular experience here! The food was the best Italian either of us have had in ages. Very delicious and with friendly and kind service as well. All around a lovely accident that we ended up there, and we will definitely be finding an excuse to go back

Went here based on good TA reviews. We were 4 minutes late for a 7:15 reservation and were informed at the door that we would have to wait 10 minutes for service. No greeting. No "do you have a reservation". Nothing. Basically, sit down and wait, and this with half the restaurant empty. Okay, fine. So 10 minutes later, to the table we go. Needed to use the bathroom to wash up: no biggie right? Bathroom is a shared bathroom with a pass code, posted on a door frame by the bar. Went back and asked bartender what the code to the bathroom was and curtly told where the code was listed. Thanks bartender, I will be more observant next time. Finally sat down and was informed that my first two choices on the menu were not available. This included all pizzas and calamari. No pizza and calamari?!? Decided on something I didn't want. The accordion guy was pretty good. Had to ask twice for water. If I sound critical, I'm sorry, but remember, I'm the customer and will pay $100+ for this meal, and my choice in coming to your establishment was based on information that was incorrect. This is what I call poor service and why I'm glad I have Trip Advisor to inform others on lousy service. Too bad though, the pasta dishes that we had were pretty good. But there a lot of restaurants with good food to spend my money on. My honest recommendation: give this place a pass.

Mediocre service and mediocre food. Over salty. Waiter never checked back in after we got our food or asked if we wanted another drink. And it was not a busy night.

Went here with the family to enjoy a nice meal. What we ended up with was unfriendly service and missing menu items. How do you run out of calamari AND pizza? Pasta carbonara tasted like something I could make at home and the servers could use an attitude adjustment asap. I will say though, the accordion player was awesome. Don't recommend!

I wanted to love it, but in the end, service and food was just not that great. It was good, it was ok, but it just didn't do it for us.

If you're looking for some authentic Italian food in the Belltown neighborhood then look no further. La Vita E' Bella serves homemade pasta, a wide selection if Italian wines, and is owned and operated by friendly Italian staff. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating along 2nd Ave. This is a great spot for a quiet and romantic date night.

Fantastic authentic northern Italian cuisine . The salad was fresh and big enough for our petting six . The red sauce is made fresh. The atmosphere is rustic. The service was on point . Make reservations. Appetizers , wine, entrees for 6 under $200. What a great place to eat.

We were staying upstairs & didn't want to go far for my companion' birthday on NYE, so I booked this place for dinner. At first, I wasn't sure if this is a good place for birthday or NYE because it seems a bit casual, but I was glad my concern was unfounded. The place has a small entrance that belied its actual size. The odd layout added to its gently-used but relaxed & cozy feel. By 7 pm, the place was filled with merry NYE revelers all dressed up. We had Caesar salad (good but a bit too savory), calzone (excellent), cioppino (good but needs to be more savory), and pepperoni pizza (excellent). Service was a bit slow due to NYE. The waiter was kind enough to make sure our child got her pizza first. I think this place makes a great intimate dining experience, where you can take your time to savor the meal & enjoy the company over several bottles of wine... but probably not on NYE.

This was a wonderful meal with great ambience and attentive staff. The salads were delicious with divine dressings and a particular mention to the mushroom ravioli which was earthy and authentic. It was also a joy to find a great coffee after traveling in USA for the last few weeks. Wonderful

The mannerisms of the service could be greatly improved found them to be non-inviting and stuck up. Advertised as a Cafè but lacked alot of non alcoholic drink choices. Food was good, service was fast.

We went with a group of people on tour. This restaurant is very downtown in walking distance to many hotels and has very European feel to the surroundings and decor. Outside seating is very nice to enjoy your food and wine. Most of us had some sort of pasta dish which were are all good but the outside of the plate was cool and not warm as the middle . The big Caesar Salid was very good to start the meal with Italian bread and oil served also. Their cannoli and teramisu were prepared very well.

We have eaten here a few years ago when visiting Seattle. It is in the Belltown area just north of downtown. We ate lunch (pizza) here. The pizza was plenty for two, the tomato sauce was excellent, the service was good and the ambience was very nice. We have eaten supper here in the past and it was excellent as well.

We had a large group of friends, 11 people, that dined here with reservations. All waiters were so nice and quick to refill our waters. Ordering food was quick, and I loved how they brought out food out all together. I ordered veal, it was so tender and delicious. The cream sauce had a sweeter taste than I expected but was very good. The waiter brought out one check, they may be would have spilt it but we didn’t ask. I would gladly dine here again if ever in the area.

Great Family dining experience. Found this restaurant online.Food was very good. Owner was very attentive. Prices very reasonable. In the heart of the restaurant area. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Good wine, good beer selection.

We were just walking around trying to find a place to eat, and stumbled into here. Service was amazing and food was fantastic. The different bruschetta's are definitely not something to miss out on. We will definitely come back the next time we visit

It's a shame that the tasty food at this restaurant is overshadowed by lackluster, hollow service (when actually stopping by the table). We had a reservation for 7, showed up on time and were incredibly polite. The first gentleman greeting us seemed unhappy right out of the gate and continued his dispassionate service to the bitter end. We didn't order anything complicated, were polite and not obnoxious. Once the food arrived, we never saw our servers for a good 30 minutes. I hate focusing so much on this because I found the food worthy of returning. The rigatoni with tomato and cream sauce was one of the best I've tasted in the city. I had so much that I left 1/3 on my plate as we were heading to a show. In fact, most of the table had leftovers which might be an indication to restrain the entree portions. I want to return but fear a repeat of the poor service. I'm hoping that it was just an off night.

We were staying in a vacation rental upstairs and got takeout from here one night. Made from scratch and delicious, we had salad, ravioli, and spaghetti/meatballs. All excellent and huge portions, enough for leftovers later in the week. Easier to get takeout than try to get a table and they were fast.

As we were staying in a hotel close to La Vita E'Bella, and were hungry for Italian food, we decided to have dinner here. We arrived shortly after 5 PM and were one of the first people to be seated. My husband ordered the minestrone soup while I had the Caesar salad. The soup was very good and my salad was huge, fresh and liberally sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Our server brought us some sliced Italian bread with oil & herbs. Our entree's, spaghetti Di Mare and Fettuccine Tartufo were excellent. We would dine here again.

Shaun Michael took super care of the 4 of us. Ravioli with saffron and king crab superb. His choice of wine was perfect. Spent 3 hours eating, laughing and talking. One of the best meals on this trip

So disappointed. We spent 90 minutes walking to find this place since we are unfamiliar with the area. We shared this with the restaurant expressing how excited we were to be there. While the food was satisfactory, the service was awful. Even after we expressed that we didn't feel we were getting good service, they never corrected even though we provided plenty of time to do so. I rarely leave negative reviews. This was a shame as my brother had good memories of the place.

Walked here from Seattle Center for dinner. Had never been before and found it as a possibility for nearby Italian food from where we were. Oh my! It was soooooo good!!! Spaghetti Carbonara and Chicken piccata were fabulous. Service was outstanding. Food came out quickly. Bill was prompt. Cute atmosphere.

We had finished with a museum and were looking for lunch. had found a French spot and passed this on the way with a parking spot out front so opted to change plans. So glad we did. the food was just superb, everyone had something different and all was excellent. The service was equally as good. I am envious of those who live in Seattle and can go whenever they want. It's a must stop on my next trip.. too bad it's so far from Hilton Head!

I definitely loved the authenticity of this place. They had lots of specials (which the waiter could rattle off) and everything (including the pasta) was home-made. There were several specials that sounded very good but I ended up with a pizza because I was in the mood for it. The menus said that there were no substitutions but the waiter told me that he can do whatever I'm in the mood for ... I guess he sensed that I was going back and forth with myself of what I wanted. I was also talked into a Tiramisu for dessert. This was very good but I'm not sure it was actually mascarpone ... the texture was more of whipped cream.

This restaurant was our favorite in Seattle. The Italian meal was delicious, and service was quick, polite, and friendly. We can recommend the lasagna, farfalle salmone, and the tiramisu.

Don't miss out on this Belltown gem. Awesome ambiance and attentive staff. I really appreciated not being crammed into a dining room with too many tables - an all too common trend these days. Light and airy with big windows. Sidewalk seating, too. We had a fabulous dinner, Insalata Sicilia - crunchy celery, sweet tomatoes, kalamata olives and creamy fresh mozzarella. Delicious. The pasta, oh the pasta. A perfectly prepared Spaghetti de Mare, filled with mussels, prawns and clams in a delicate tomato sauce. And the Gnocchi Pepirosso is out of this world. Other dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. We will definitely be back to try more from their exciting menu.

Arrived around 6pm after walking through town. Waiter brought water and menus but didn't return for 15 min. When he brought 1 basket of bread and oil for table of 6 it was left at end of table. 2 would have been more appropriate. Two people ordered pasta, one, pizza and 3 ordered a pasta and seafood dish. The rigatoni with shrimp, salmon and calamari at $18 had two shrimp, some tasty salmon and calamari tentacles, not typical calamari. Sauce was bland .

After getting home from a trip to Italy, I was missing the great food and warm, inviting atmosphere that the restaurants over there all seemed to possess. La Vita E' Bella caught my eye immediately, from the outdoor seating to the Italian signage, and reminded me of Italy. The staff was friendly, helpful, and they answered the million and one questions I asked! The owner was there that night and I watched him spend several minutes chatting with customers at every table. The food was amazing, it came out quickly, and the prices were affordable- perhaps even cheap for downtown Seattle.

This is a pleasant Italian eatery on 2nd avenue, Belltown. The weather was superb so we took a nice table outside. I judge Italian restaurants from restaurants in Italy where I have lived. The portions here are ample, The wait staff, some of whom speak Italian, kindly told me our salad order, pasta, and veal dish was a lot. We skipped the veal. We split the mixed green salad with cherry tomatoes and it was indeed a large salad, as if we had ordered one for each. Only foible, the greens were fresh and the tomatoes tasty, but they had been refrigerated. I had vongole. I asked the wait staff not to overload it with too much garlic and it was tasty My partner had bowtie pasta with porcini and mushrooms. She found the pasta overcooked. We decorated the meal with a bottle of Barolo, $40 bucks. All in all, a nice overall experience. We will go back when next in Seattle .

I personally picked this restaurant after reading online reviews. I thought it would be original, tasty, homemade Italian food. Boy was I wrong. The service was slow, restaurant needs a good scrub and the food was average at best. My sister and I met in Seattle for a long weekend. I felt bad I picked such a humdrum restaurant for the first night in the city. I will not go back and do not recommend this establishment. I had the chicken parmesan and my sister had some kind of seafood fettuccine dish. The bread was small, cold little pieces and nothing special at all.

My son and I went for dinner, and the homemade pizza was amazing. We had excellent service from the servers and the owner. Thank you so much for the wonderful night.

We loved this place. Great stop after a long day of walking 10 minute from the needle. The antipasta was great as was the service and ambiance, great feel to it, reminded us of Boston. For dinner we had the Crab Ravioli special which was AMAZING and the seafood over pasta which was also very good. Surprisingly they have Amorone and Barolo by the glass which is unheard of and both are solid.

Without a doubt the best pasta we have ever had. The fresh homemade noodles were perfectly prepared and the sauce was exquisite. We really enjoyed the casual and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant as well. Highly recommend the restaurant if you want great food.

The food was excellent & reasonably priced. The service was above & beyond. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in Seattle.

Service very slow, almost walked out just as our waiter finally came for drink orders. Pasta and veal dishes were not as good as those available from chain restaurants such as Carrabba's, my son said the pizza was really good so it gets 3 stars instead of 2.

We had an incredible dinner here at the hands of Guisseppe the owner. It was dinner for four (2 couples). Rather than order we left the meal in his hands and were treated to 7 courses; one better than the next. We started with a caprese salad, followed by shrimp in a pesto sauce. Then halibut with vegetables. Next we were treated to 2 pasta courses (first tortellini in a tomato cream sauce then fettuccine with sausage in cream sauce). The final main course was ossa buco and we finished with tiramisu. All this was accompanied by a wonderful inexpensive Sangiovese. One dish was better than the next and among the four of us there were four "favorites." One vote for the tiramisu, one for each of the pasta dishes, and one for the halibut. The ambiance is that of a warm family restaurant in Sicily. The service was spot on; attentive but not overly familiar. Finally there was an accordion player who added perfectly to the atmosphere. This is now my "go to" place in Seattle.

Picked this place as a second choice as Tavolàta down the street was noisy and disorganized. After being seated, we were surrounded by unbearably noisy patrons so we left. A quick half-block walk down the street and we decided to try this place. Glad we did too! The service was spectacular (server Chris Schaffer did a highly professional and courteous job). The Maître d’ was equally up to excellence as well. The food: We started with a Caesar salad. I have spent money on some pretty bad ones in so-called high-class places and been disappointed. This one was delicious... and I would have inhaled more if I could. The portion was more than generous; but three of shared it! Lasagna was on the menu for one of us and she described it as “delicious”. I and another each had HUGE pizzas.. thin-crust and very tasty. Nice ambience, a bar to sit at if you prefer that rather than tables. Food was delivered quickly and hot. Loved the place and would return in a heartbeat if I lived in Seattle.

I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed this restaurant. Even before we got to the door we were drooling. The smells draw you in and don't let you go. We each had a local beer then started with bread that comes with oil & vinegar with chili flakes. Outstanding. We split the prawns in pesto and a small chicken pizza. Next time I come here I am going to get two of the prawn dishes and a side of pasta just so I can enjoy the pesto. I believe our waiter's name was Shaun. Great server, very professional and had lots to recommend. Will be back next time we are in Seattle. Lots of thumbs up

8/6/2018 I travel from Vancouver BC 2 times a year to have there Carbonara worth the drive I got to know of this place from my US accountant and it worth it the food fresh and is and you know they put there love into it prefect gem for any one looking for good Authentic Italian meal.

The food is as good as in Italy and the staff is very friendly and ambient is very decorated with love

Very chip restaurant would not recommend unless it is the only option you have Food not from scratch The food was ok but definitively not tasty and too expensive for what it is

We went to Seattle from Minnesota to celebrate my birthday and a hostess from a restaurant near by recommended this Italy place. We all loved it! The food was very good. My son ordered the pizza and it was delicious!!! Our waiter Sean was excellent and the owner Giuseppe was super friendly!! I definitely recommend this restaurant. It serves great Italian food, note that we just came back from Italy.

Ate on the patio the night we arrived to Seattle. Good food and atmosphere. Service was decent- not great but not horrible. Nice street and nice neighborhood. Worth going to dinner here.

Loved this restaurant, our second choice as no tables at Pink Door. No disappointment, it was a classic italian dinner, plenty of pasta, meat and fish washed down with beers and Pinot Grigio. Nice and busy, always a good sign. Highly recommended.

Both of us thought the meal was good. We were the only people waiting for a meal when we were told the chef had prepared the wrong meal for my husband. Could this have been because he was out front watching the football match and his concentration was elsewhere? Service was hit and miss depending if one of the servers went outside either to use his phone or just walk down the street. When one in particular served the meal I quickly asked for the parmigiana and black pepper. He said give him a minute. I got the parmigiana but never the black pepper! Service with ....

I like this restaurant in Belltown. It is really a ‘trattoria’, less formal Italian eatery. I am a harsh critic of Italian restaurants, having lived in Italy. Pluses, the salad ‘mista’ was excellent The sauce on the Raviola Bolognese(not really a Bolognese dish) was very good. The Raviola were a little ‘pasty’, maybe reflecting the cultural proclivities of the chef? The wine, from Tuscany was 5x the markup of what I found on Vivino. It had no DOCC protection, so maybe the grapes were mixed from Algeria? The bread was stale, hard for me to eat.

We had visitors staying in Belltown this past winter and we encountered La Vita E’ Bella by happen-chance. The food and atmosphere was great for a cold wintertime evening but the service was condescending. We decided to try a repeat this weekend with some local friends, hoping for some summer outside dining, and we were glad we did. The service was welcoming and efficient, and the food was outstanding (except for some barely eatable tomato’s for the Caprese salad). The Spaghetti Carbonara was spectacular and my dining mates had two different versions of fresh coho salmon dishes, both outstanding with reasonably priced but generous portions. Most importantly, my wife’s dairy allergy was well accommodated by the chef, and thoughtfully and confidently communicated by the wait staff (a huge failing the last visit). Patio seating on a lovely summer night was a pleasure as well. Highly recommended.

We visited here tonight on our last night in Seattle before joining our cruise. It was on a recommended list by our hotel with a short walk to it and we love Italian food. We arrived at 8.30 on a Saturday evening and expected to have to wait for a table. We eventually got seated 20 minutes after waiting in a small line. Order taken quite quickly a Caprese salad to share mushroom ravioli for my husband and spaghetti da mare for me. Good choice said our server. Appetiser arrived and was tasty and then the problems started. Ravioli served to my husband correctly but I was offered a rigatoni bolognese when I said that no I had ordered the spaghetti da mare the server looked confused and approached the guy who took our order obviously trying to find out where the error had occurred. After a few minutes the one who took our order came over and said that the had ‘ran out of seafood’ and this is why they had brought me a random rigatoni dish. This was obviously BS and he had put my order through incorrectly but didn’t have the decency to admit it. As my husband was waiting to eat I didn’t want to make a fuss so just ordered a lasagna as I thought this would come quickly. When it arrived it was a plate of bolognese sauce with a few sheets of soggy pasta in the middle. When the bill arrived with a gratuity automatically added of 18 dollars I was furious. I told the waiter I objected to paying for a sub standard service and I would not be paying the gratuity. This guy was so full of himself and arrogant to the extreme that he still wouldn’t admit he’d made a mistake and said he would deduct the price of the appetiser but not the gratuity. What he couldn’t seem to grasp was that I would have been happy to pay the whole bill if he would just have admitted he put my order through wrongly instead he had no regard for this paying customers experience at the restaurant if it meant he could save his arrogant face. I may have only have been passing through but you ruined my last night in Seattle you deserve a ‘Terrible’ rating

Very nice place for dinner. Food was very good as was the service. Bottle of wine costs same as 3 glasses. Reasonable prices.

We discovered this wonderful Italian Restaurant almost 2 years ago and eat there every time we are in Seattle

My cousin and I were walking the streets of Belltown trying to figure out where to eat dinner. We wanted to sit on a patio to enjoy the delightful Seattle evening. Our walk started on first street near Pikes market. We wandered past plenty of open restaurants with patios, but none of them caught our eye. We decided to jog over to second street to see what it had to offer. This patio is as the first we came across. We were greeted and sat immediately. Bread and olive oil followed suit. A short while later, Jordan came over to talk to is about our plans. He walked us through the menu and made wonderful recommendations. Our first course was a Caesar salad with anchovies and then bruschetta with egg plant and garlic. The Caesar was so good. I ordered the cannelloni while my cousin got the penne pesto. Loved the cannelloni. Can't recommend it enough. My cousin like his dish as well. Dessert was cannoli and pistachio ice cream. Great way to wrap up a great meal.

It’s hot in Seattle, but a restaurant should contact you when you have a reservation and they need to close due to the heat. Horrible, horrible way to treat customers. Plus we paid for an Uber ride all for nothing.

We stopped by on a whim with a craving for Italian food and I am so happy we found this restaurant. The ambiance is authentic. The food was great from appetizers to dessert. The wine menu was vast and had options at any budget. Again, I'm so happy we stopped by!

Beautiful food - very reasonably priced, large portions, great atmosphere. The owner is lovely and proud of what he's built - as he should be. We live in Canada but every single time we are in Seattle, we go. Prices are so fair and that homemade fettuccine??? OMG yes - every time! My hubby had the spaghetti di Mare and again - loved the taste.

This restaurant is quaint and has good pizza. The salads are pretty good too. I would stick with these. The service was slow and the other entrees were "cold" upon arrival as if they sat in the kitchen for a while.

I'm a local and used to recommend this restaurant to family and friends. I won't any more. They were slammed when I visited this week, which is not a problem unto itself. I have patience and can understand slow service during busy times, to some extent. But we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for an order of pizza and pasta to arrive. The order then arrived stone cold when it finally did arrive. I asked for the order to be heated and boxed so I could take it away. The server offered that they would make it fresh and pack the new order up. A different server came back ten minutes later to deliver us the exact same order we were originally served, and still stone cold! What a joke! I know they were busy, but the restaurant has gone down hill since reopening. Staff had very little idea what was going on. Everyone was serving any table. It was chaos. The restaurant was also filthy! Do yourself a favor and go to one of the wonderful, clean, Italian restaurants in Seattle with great, hot food, and good service. There's plenty of choice!

We stopped in here for a weeknight dinner. I had the gnocchi which was delicious. Unfortunately there were crusty bits of food stuck to the wall next to our table. It was unappetizing to say the least. If the dining room is that dirty, what does the kitchen look like?

Wife and I were in area for few days before a cruise. This place was within walking distance from Hotel. Wow! What a great choice. Pasta is made from scratch fresh every day, and you can really tell the difference from eating in some national chain so called 'Italian' restaurant. I had a veal dish that was excellent and my wife could not stop raving about per ravioli dish. Great service and very reasonably priced.

We were a family of 4 adults and 3 children. We ordered a variety of dishes including pasta, fish, seafood and salad. All the dishes were very tasty. The service was excellent. For dessert we had an excellent tiramisu and an excellent chocolate truffle ball as well. The prices are very fair. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stopped here for a late dinner after traveling and sightseeing all day. When we walked in the gentleman was excited to see us (there were only a few people there) we were seated inside and treated with a lot of attention. My husband was not very hungry and I was so-so. We each ordered and entree and the gentleman seemed disappointed that we did not order a starter or a drink. We hardly saw him after that. Don't get me wrong, he was there, the place is small, but he never returned to our table. Instead he sent others over to us, and we waited a long time for our check because he was out and socializing with the two other tables that were ordering drinks. I understand you have to build your check, but to just ditch us because we were not as hungry or because we didn't order wine is just silly. The food we got was good but not great, and it wouldn't have mattered if it was terrible because no one ever checked on us after the food runner dropped the plates. The place was interesting, a bit dark, and I felt like it was a bit dingy. The support staff was very kind, but the waiter with the ego, I could do without that.

We arrived just as the restaurant was closing. They were very apologetic that the kitchen was closing, and they couldn’t seat us. Although we were disappointed, we were excited that they could offer us the option to take out. That we did. The service was amazing. I was surprised that they were willing to work with us when it may have been easier for them to maintain a hard line. We got back to our hotel and enjoyed a wonderful light meal to cap off a great day. Thank you, La Vita e Bella, for being a delicious part of a great Seattle day!

We randomly walked into this restaurant for dinner on our first night in Seattle and found it surprisingly good! The pasta was cooked to perfection. Dishes were not fancy, but taste authentic. I had the ravioli with mushrooms, which was very good. Price is reasonable. It was probably the best meal of our trip. Highly recommended. ;-)

We're staying in Seattle in an apartment that is very close to La Vita E' Bella, and we couldn't help but notice how busy it was. So, I went upstairs and booked a table through the TA app, and am glad we did. We were able to jump the lengthy line by waving the reservation confirmation page on my phone. Once inside, it is calm. Food was very rich but delicious. You don't want to go here if you're worried about your calories. Wine list is decent, service is good, there is no loud music playing inside. All in all, very good.,

Absolutely the best meal of our stay in Seattle thus far. My funghi crepe was incredible, and others really enjoyed their meals. Such a nice cozy ambiance with beautiful music for a relaxing lunch. Great service, also. Definitely try this authentic, beautiful little gem.

I must agree with Anthony H. We were so looking forward to eating at this charming restaurant until we met our waiter. He was downright unfriendly, to the point that my husband asked him at the end of our meal if he was all right. (His stiff reply, "I'm fine.") I ordered the rigatoni the patch who's first ingredient was supposed to be prawns. There were no prawns. Since our waiter was nowhere to be seen, we asked the bus boy. He got the waitress who brought me out two prawns on a little dish. My husband's Spaghetti di Mar was wonderful. We did not know about any specials until we heard our waiter telling them to the patron at the table next to us while we were waiting for our check. It is a shame that instead of some great atmosphere and wonderful cooking I will remember the terrible service.

The food and service was incredible!! A lot of food so you may not want to get an app or salad. We will for sure be going back!!!

I made a last minute decision to eat dinner at La Vita based upon a drive by, which reflected a busy and popular scene, on a gorgeous evening perfect for al fresco dining. The restaurant has appropriately spaced outside tables but I still managed to snag a small table without wait on a Sunday at 7 p.m. Service was immediate, and I ordered a lovely glass of Barbera d'Alba. A basket of fresh bread and olive oil was delivered. I ordered the Chicken (Pollo) Piccata as my main dish, which comes with a substantial serving of delicious steamed vegetables. The chicken itself was also a large portion (I ended up taking half of it home), served piping hot in a delicious piccata sauce. There was only one problem.... The chicken itself had a rubbery texture, very chewy, and not at all like it should be served. Although the taste was good, when a piece of boneless chicken is difficult to cut into, much less to chew and swallow, you know there's a problem. I'm not one who easily sends back a dish, and I figured that perhaps the leftovers could be prepared in a way to make it more tender. But it was almost as if this chicken portion had been microwaved. It was cooked through, to be sure, but tough. I elected to bypass dessert, and go on my way, and only return next time perhaps to order pasta or pizza.

We loved this place. Very friendly, welcoming staff; beautifully presented food and a lovely vibe. We can recommend the meatballs and the salmon in tomato & wine sauce. The manager came out to check our food was good and chatted to us, a nice touch.

Two of us came in for dinner on a Saturday night. From the start it felt as though they were having an off night. Our server was the owner, which one would think would be a good thing, but he seemed to be distracted. Another server looked to have been crying. Not sure what was going on. We ordered waters and a bottle of wine. The water took awhile to come. Our server promised us bread to start, but didn't manage to get it to us until after we'd received our appetizer. I had ordered their spaghetti special, which actually turned out to be ravioli. I wasn't told in advance, the server simply brought it to the table and said the chef had taken a break and the person filling in for him thought the special was ravioli rather than spaghetti. No apology, and with my partner's food already there, I didn't want to send it back and wait for another dish. The food was good, though not the best Italian I've ever eaten as other reviewers have stated. The wine list had an extensive reserve list as well as some reasonably priced options. With so many great places to try in Belltown, we likely won't be back.

The title says it all; wife and I ate, drank, more than our fill and walked out under $100. Highly recommend this little place!

We YELPED places near our hotel and Italian sounded good. This little spot had delicious, generaous food, great waitstaff, and a warm inviting ambience on a chilly evening. We had pasta with so much seafood and a huge cesar salad and great red wine recommendation. Staff lets you take your time and enjoy your dinner and conversations- We ended with the best capuchinno I have every had! Im still thinking of how creamy and delicious it was. GO!

We had a wonderful lunch of rigatoni boscaiola and mista salad, both shared between two with plenty for each! The food was excellent, fresh and delicious, and the portions were beyond generous. Prices are very reasonable—lunch for two less than $30 (before tip). The service was also excellent, fast and responsive. I hope to return!

Great neighborhood spot, recommended by concierge at Edgewater Hotel, delicious food, warm atmosphere. Gnocchi, lasagna and cannoli were superb.

I had the cannelloni, my husband had gnocchi in a red pepper sauce and we split a bottle of Sangiovese. Every bite was eye-widening delicious and portions were just right. Great service and amazing food. (Saturday night, 5:00) We'll be back!

Everyone enjoyed their meal here. We walked from the Space Needle. We made an easy reservation for 3. My Aunt said her lasagna was the best she ever had. The meatballs were so tasty, we wanted to order more to go! My gnocchi was good, but after trying the lasagna I wished I ordered that. My mom and I split the Caesar salad, so much cheese and the dressing was so good. We would absolutely eat here again if in the area.

Loved this little neighborhood restaurant. My teen and I wanted simple pasta marinara and a marguerita pizza - it was fantastic! Nice variety of menu options, good service.

We walked in with no reservation on a weeknight and were seated immediately. Inside seating is better than outside due to the noisy busses on the street. Service was quick and attentive, the wait staff checked with us frequently. The pasta dishes were all very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The desserts we had were very flavorful and rich, although a bit high priced. Not a cheap restaurant, but we enjoyed it very much

Highly recommend for authentic Italian in a lovely atmosphere. Great service. The crepes, lasagna, and pistachio shrimp appetizer were all outstanding. I will be back again soon!

Recd.by our hotel..close to downtown..terrific non touristy Italian place..Sean very personable server suggested entree of the day..salmon with sauteed fresh vegs..my husband. had cioppino..both entrees delicious and large portions...and THE BREAD !!! Crusty,deliciousness...really enjoyed this softly lit cozy relaxed place..dont miss!!

Delicious Italian food in Belltown. Cozy restaurant, good service. Delicious caprese. Crab ravioli was exceptionally delicious and carbonara was good. Wine by the glass list is relatively short but there are enough good choices. Portions are large.....can definitely share a pasta dish.
Bon Appétit!
My boyfriend and I were just casually passing through Downton Seattle when we saw this bright pizza sign. We walked up the the front patio and were instantly greeted by the sever. We were seated outside, and then we had literally the best meal we've had in Washington! Everything, I mean EVERYTHING is beyond delicious. Every entree we ate was perfectly paired with a great wine selected by the server. Service was amazing. Hands down my favorite place in Seattle! I would definitely reccomend visiting this gem.
