Hungry travelers

By Richard |

We showed up with a hungry party of 8 after traveling all day and were seated after a short wait; very accommodating considering it's Mother's Day and we didn't have a reservation. My only recommendation is the housemade ginger ale could be a lot more gingery. We tried numerous things - coconut lemongrass chicken, poke bowl, lemongrass salmon, Thai basil chicken, spicy sweet potato fries to name a few - and everything was EXCELLENT! If I didn't live a couple thousand miles away, I wouldn't happily come back again.

FOOD IS EXCELLENT! - SERVICE IS SOMETIMES HORRIFIC!!!

By Cricket A |

I am a local and eat here often, and I go there knowing that sometimes I will get waited on by the waitresses that are downright surly, sometimes not. Why do I still go there? Because the food is awesome!!!!I have complained about the service to management in the past, but it doesn't seem to do any good... On weekdays the lunch specials are particularly good. For $9 you get the best deal in town! Hot tea, a platter with salad and california roll and an entree. My favorite: the basil chicken. The ingredients are always fresh, the flavors always delight, the portions are good size. I like to finish it off with vietnamese coffee and the passion fruit creme brulee. And if I happen to get a surly waitress, well, it will reflect on the gratuity.

Fresh, very tasty, AND super lunch specials!

I have been here so many times..This is such a great place to take friends or clients to for dinner or just pass by for lunch. They support "the American Cancer society" and i support them. You will NOT be disappointing. .Everything is good as well as the staff!

Unique Asian dishes

By BaltimoreSH |

Very creatve menu and a wide variety of choices for vegetarians and meat-eaters. If you are in the mood for a traditional dish (pad thai, for example), you may not be able to find it here. The vegetable spring rolls were the highlight for me, but we subbed the peanut sauce. Plenty of free parking in the garage.

Lan Pan-Asian - good take-out during pandemic

By byMT305 |

It’s difficult times in early May 2020 due to the pandemic. Lan Pan-Asian located in Dadeland North Station is well-suited for take-out. Ordering is by phone, or on-line only (No take-out window orders) & puck-up in in the rear. Overall, food at Lan is perfectly good (but not great). Lan is open for both lunch & dinner. Our favorites included: wakame seaweed, & Szechuan eggplant Sushi rolls (tuna & California) were average Vegetable spring rolls - fair Shrimp pad thai - good (not great) Overall, when you’ve got the urge, Lan Pan-Asian Cafe is good.

great place to have good asian food for lunch!

By joselito1959 |

The place was packed and it was 1:00 pm. we did not have to wait that long for our table (only 10 munutes). no problem for parking! (right beside Target and Michael's). it was perfect. the service was very good and fast. Great choices for lunch special at a great price. the lunch special included the miso soup (excellent!), salad (very good spicy dressing) and california roll (very fresh ! ) . Beautiful presentations! We had the simple Vegetable Stir-Fry and i was very impressed with the different type of veggies and how crunchy and fresh it was. Must have the Chicken Dumplings (perfect!). They do have at least 30 or more different choices you can have on the menu beside the lunch special menu. perfect place for lunch. food was very, very good.

Surprised for good!

A small, clean and quiet yet modern place very well located near Downtown Dadeland. With ample variety of Asian dishes and Sushi, all delicious, and excellent service. A place for every occasion and reasonable prices.

Garlic beef tataki is a must-try, Crispy calamrai w/mongo sauce and New Centry Sushi, yummy!

Excellent

By erickamonge24200 |

I love the sushi the bubble tea the experience was amazing. Is a small place but the service is fast.

Great food!

By Claire S |

I love this place. The reason why I don't give it a 5/5 is because they have no wifi and the service isn't always so good, especially in takeaway. I love their bubble smoothies, their flat noodles, sushi and dumplings. The place is also really clean which is very important to me.

Yes it is next to a hair cut place but it is outstanding

By James M |

I have had friends from NYC say it is one of the best Asian places they have enjoyed! Sushi, Thai, Korean and Asian fusion cuisine. Atmosphere is simple, modern. Service is excellent, attentive. No reservations. You will NOT be disappointed by the food! Our favorite are fiery spinach, baby eggplant, and Green Curry Vermicelli with shrimp and slices of duck sausage.

Delightful Delicious Delicate Flavors

By alanme44 |

This is a smal table service and take out restaurant attached to the parking structure of the Dadeland Station shopping complex. We stopped in for a quick lunch at about 12:30pm and ordered the Fresh Spring Roll appetizer and Thai Basil Chicken which came with a bowl of Miso soup, green salad and some vegetable sushi rolls. I don't know if this was a lunchtime special or is standard. The two of us split everything and it was more than adequate. The flavors were delightful, delicious and delicate. With one beverage and tax the bill was $25.86 plus tip. The menu is quite extensive. Nothing fancy about the establishment but it was clean the service was good and prices moderate. Parking in the attached garage is free. I would definitely go back!

Consistent Quality and Value

By asora10066 |

I have been coming to this restaurant for years. The quality is consistent and the spices and flavors of the food are incredibly balanced. I recommend the tamarind shrimp, steamed dumplings and the chocolate wontons. I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. Lunch is the best value of all. The location is far from charming but the food is worth it!

Good food

By montilla_cu |

We really like the authenticity of the food in LAN, highly recommended. Good service and amazing food and drinks.

Awesome for lunch!

By Hillary |

I was running errands and decided to stop here for a quick lunch. The lunch menu has plenty of options for $9-$15, from sushi to salads and stir fry. I opted for the Red Curry Beef (subbed chicken at no charge). Lunch specials all include a first course of soup, then a plate filled with salad (dressing is citrus, much better than the typical ginger dressing), a California roll, and a sprout salad. All was fresh and delicious, and comes out quickly. The red curry was a bowl filled with fresh snow peas, onions, peppers, sweet potato, chicken and sprouts, and just the right amount of heat. I took most of my curry to-go because the fist course was so much food. Definitely worth $9.95. I will definitely return to try other lunch specials. The table next to me ordered the veggie stir fry and it looked great, fresh and not overcooked, and plenty of colorful veggies. Highly recommend!

Creative and refreshing Asian food

By RandBMiami |

Been coming here for quite a while and it has become a "go to"place for us. So many interesting and tasty dishes. And the portions and service are great. The poke bowls are scrumptious and healthy. Can't believe I ate the whole thing. Go hungry.

Breath of Fresh Air

By citizen0103 |

This is a great new find for Chinese food. I like Thai food a lot and there are many choices, but Chinese is a little more challenging because of the quality of the food at some places. This place is a breath of fresh air when it comes to Chinese food. The space is open, light, and clean. The quality of the food is Good, the flavors are excellent, the portions are very Good, and the pricing is very reasonable. On top of all of this they have many “healthy” options.

Great lunch deals!!!

By Everardo B |

Good service.... good food that's not too heavy. Great for lunch...or brunch. I've never been there for dinner.... but I assume it must be good...

Consistently good

By Carolyn T |

I eat at Lan at least once a year when visiting family in South Miami. Lan is located in a shopping area with a Target and some other large chain stores. Not a glamorous location. However, Lan is consistent and always good. There are many sushi choices, including some "cooked" rolls. They also serve various types of Asian food, with a large choice of Thai and Japanese style dishes. The lunch specials are good and include miso soup, a small green salad with an Asian dressing which is very good, a California roll and then your choice of another dish or some sushi. The staff is pleasant and always willing to accommodate special requests. The place is very busy at dinner so expect to wait. There is a large parking garage in the shopping center so parking is available. Lan is worth the wait as it is consistently good.

Very good take out

By ROBERT S |

I ordered take out while staying at a nearby hotel. Very good meal. Tasty and nice sized portions. The garlic chicken is excellent as are the potstickers.

Hidden Gem

What a great surprise! Wonderful food. Big menu. Reasonable prices. Will make this a regular for lunch.

Great bubble tea and some reliable standards

Great bubble tea and some reliable standards

Great food, servers are busy and managment doesn't care about their customers

By ebone28 |

I used to go here a lot. Then I tried to go with my mom when my foot was broken. It was 2:58 and they wouldn't seat us because they said the cooks leave at 3pm. I didn't believe that for a second, when i looked around and saw people with menus who hadn't ordered yet. I was on crutches and we asked to speak with a manager. We explained that it was hard for me to get around. Could they please serve us, etc? I already knew what I wanted to order and it was hard to get back to the car and go somewhere else. She said no, with no explanation, except they didn't have a cook. I saw food arriving on tables during this conversation. I will not return here, despite the food, because of this experience.

A hidden gem

By George S |

A pleasant surprise to find this gem of a restaurant on the ground floor of a garage in the Dadeland Mall. It is small but with a very innovative dishes— not your standard Asian eatery. The crispy calamari in mango sauce was great, as were the potstickers and asian nachos. The fried snapper in miso soup was one of the best that I ever had— also good was the beef with flat noodles. Prices were were medium to low — service was quick and pleasant. Highly recommended!!

Good flavors...

By HighHeelsTourist |

The flavors and spices are good, the service not so much. A bit expensive for the whole experience...but it is always full of customers.

Little overpriced.

By Cindoc |

Nice food presentation but a bit too pricey for what you get.

Best lunch deal in Miami

By Sid K |

This place has one of the best lunch deals in Miami [and quite possibly anywhere]. Soup, sushi, and a small main course. It really worth a visit if you are in the area.

Good, but just not great

By MrsG9310 |

We were here for dinner on a Friday night. The table shared an appetizer of mushroom wontons and fresh spring rolls. The wontons were outstanding. The spring rolls were fresh, but were average in flavor. I had the lemongrass chicken. I could tell the ingredients were fresh, but again it was lacking the spices or something to make it great. Same with my husband's red curry beef. Our nephew had sushi which he enjoyed, and his fiancé had short ribs that she seemed to enjoy. We might try it again if we are in the Dadeland area and want Asian food, but wouldn't make a special trip.

Fantastic food, great price, excellent service.

By Qomomoko |

Suggest their vegetable curry plates. They bubble tea with tapioca is also a favorite. Check their hours as they have 1-3 hours during the mid-day where they are closed.

Consistently good and interesting

By Catherine K |

THis restaurant is in a mall with Best Buy, Bed Bath and Sports Authority so it is surprising that it is so consistently good and has such interesting dishes. It is also surprisingly pricey, but the quality makes it worth it. It is regularly full on almost every day of the week for lunch and dinner so many people must agree with me. It is pan asian so you have choices of many types of Asian cuisine-all have been good in my eyes and those of my family and friends.

The location is actually a plus as there...

By MBenz |

The location is actually a plus as there is always ample parking and you're often there for something else anyway. Good menu choices augmented by daily specials. Great springrolls and satays. Salads are the best yet in an Eastern restaurant and are worth the upgrade with your entree. Soups are also better than most. Thai based entrees are generally very good. Prices are not bad and seem to reflect good value. Don't forget the bubble tea!

Good portions

By Robert L |

Wife loves their tofu and I enjoy their appetizers. Their juices are also very good as is their Vietnamese coffee. A place to go eat you shop at Dadeland Service is not memorable but it is good

Delicious Food & Excellent Service = Great Value

By Margie2000 |

The Garlic Beef Tataki at Lan Pan-Asian is the BEST. Lunch special are very filling and interesting dishes. Plus, the lunch specials are reasonable. They also have plenty of teas and and smoothies.

Good Value

By mountainmango |

Lan Pan is a very convenient, very reasonably priced restaurant with excellent Thai and Japanese menu to choose from. They also have a reward program in which if you accumulate $200 worth of meals, you get $20 off the next one. I've already cashed in a couple of times. We usually get take-out, but we also occasionally eat in there pleasant dining room.

Great food!

By Kathy S |

We met a good friend for lunch and I am so glad she chose this restaurant! The food is awesome and reasonably priced for how good it is! I had the Salmon lunch special that came with soup, salad, and a California roll! Everything was delicious. My husband had the appetizer rubs and calamari and said both were the best he’s ever had! We will definitely go back.

Great service, food and price!

By Qomomoko |

even greater prices during lunch specials! But rest of time food and price is great. My gf loves the sushi variety and I love the vegetables plates they offer. They close in afternoon for a couple of hours FYI..

Great Lunch Specials

By Profco |

We enjoy Lan's under $12 lunch specials, which include a main course (we usually get grilled salmon), served with miso soup, a California roll ($1 extra made with brown rice), mesclun salad and Asian sprout salad. Sometimes the salmon is a bit overcooked and slightly on the dry side, but I love the strip of charred salmon skin they leave on the fish. Service can be spotty. There usually isn't someone assigned exclusively to the register at the entrance or to showing patrons to their tables. Bottlenecks sometimes occur. The restaurant seems understaffed, and the harried servers appear to have multiple--too many?--responsibilities. Lan is known for its popular bubble teas, which come in several flavors. (If you're watching your carbs and/or calories, you might want to steer clear of them, especially the sweet creamy ones made with tapioca pearls. They are delicious, but some could contain more calories than your your lunch or dinner!)

lousy food

By chris a |

do not eat here, food is terrible, chicken like rubber soaked in salty sauce, scallops battered with stuff that had to be scraped off

Allergic Reaction

By katecats18 |

I came here earlier today and the service was not friendly. I ordered a Strawberry Black Tea. The server then said, "Do you want bubbles in the raspberry tea?" I then told her that I am allergic to raspberries and to make sure I was to receive strawberry tea. She seemed not to listen and made the tea. When she handed it to me she "claimed" it was strawberry. But now I am suffering from an allergic reaction. Will not be going there ever again and will not be recommending to anyone. My hope in leaving this review is that the owner will read this and instruct the employees to be more careful next time as someone could possibly die from an allergic reaction.

Always enjoyable

By Edmund438 |

Lan Pan Asia is one of our favorites. When we go shopping in the Dadeland Mall, we always go to Lan Pan for dinner thereafter. Relaxing, clean, quiet, comfortable with great service and delicious food at very reasonable prices. Chef Johnson Teh is very creative with his quality, quantity and attractive presentations. Some plates are so we presented that we often take photos and sit to admire before beginning to eat. Cold Ichiban Beer goes well with all plates.

Good Asian food

By OSCALGOR |

We went looking for some Korean dishes and they do have 2 or 3 good ones. The Japanese food is really good as well.

Excellent lunch

By neverhome821 |

Get there before 3 for their most excellent lunch combo. Miso soup, california roll, salad, asian slaw , and garlic chicken, all for under $10. Staff is very frindly. Everybody will love this place.

Nice experience

Delicious healthy Adriatic food , simple but peaceful decor.. prompt and courteous service Shrimp potstickers tasted awesome , as well as shrimp pad Thai

Fabulous Deal and Fabulous Meal

By Connie F |

We needed a place to eat near our hotel and preferred walking distance. After heading to Dadeland Station, we opted to eat here. The servers were all friendly, the facility was clean, and an absolutely varied menu and everything was great. I had the filipino rice bowl, my son had a broth noodle bowel, and my sorority sister had beef and flat noodles. We had the nachos as an appetizer. Best pork ever on the app and in our main courses. We shared the fried pan asian dessert (ice cream and pound cake and it tasted like funnel cake around it). This meal was a pleasant culinary surprise after a long day of traveling.

Excellent food and price

By lisettewbr |

We went to Lan with the family. Excellent asian food and reasonable price. Quickly when you are in a hurry. We will be back, for sure, when we are back in Miami

LAN Pan Asian in Dadeland

By Agnerina |

Went looking for a Pho soup and to my surprise ended up having a great Shabu Shabu dinner. No Pho available, not a fancy place... but there is good Sushi, good and friendly service, and accessible location.

Another great lunch

By mommytravels |

My 13-year-old asked to go here for lunch on his birthday. He loves the dumplings, I love the lunch specials. Great tasting salmon sashimi. Excellent miso soup. Even the salad is delicious. And the rolls are a good price. Don't miss the korean short ribs.

Very Delicious

By divegirl26 |

Has a great variety of asian dishes and every one I have had is delicious. All the ingredients are fresh. Try the homemade ginger ale for something unique.

Food is Great - Credit Card Upcharge is not

By Jimmy G |

Food is Great Credit Card Upcharge is not, it's a shame that for approximately $1.50, I feel like they tried to take advantage of me. The bill at the end of dinning has two amounts. The first amount was what you expect to pay by adding the prices of the items plus tax, it said "cash amount" next to it. The second had an additional value that read "credit card amount". I thought the first total was a discount for paying cash and the second was the true total. Then I took a second look and realized I was being charged more. For some it may not matter, but it does to me. So there it is, like I said, food is Great but I do not the feeling of being tricked. So I will not be returning as long as this new policy is in place

By Jenny G |

Everything here is unpleasant to me with the exception of the California rolls, which is bizarre because I usually find California rolls lacking in flavor. Bubble tea is also great here.

Great lunch

Looking for a great Lunch or Dinner while shopping at Dadeland Mall or Dadeland station. Try Lan Pan-Asian Cafe, you won't be disappointed. Great food, and huge portions. I haven't tried the sushi but the green curry was excellent. Very good service.

best lunch combo

By Alexandra A |

This is one of my favorite places for lunch because you get everything! I hate having to decide between sushi or curry, and here, i get both. My favorite is the red curry beef. So creamy and delicious. Also, the salad that comes with your lunch has an awesome dressing...not your typical ginger dressing but some kind of cilantro-garlic...its so good!

This is the Best Asian Around

By jasperoo42 |

Great food, Great people, Great prices.......Always a pleasure......my favorite local restaurant The lunch specials ar ethe best in town

Tastiest food with the friendliest staff!

By Jose R |

Everything is delicious! Calamari, Chicken Teriyaki, Ask for the purple Bubble tea which I believe was the lychee! The sushi was great too! If you can't decide, just let your waiter make a suggestion; they are very accommodating!

Breath of Fresh Air

By citizen0103 |

This is maybe my 4th time ordering here. I did a review before and gave them 5 stars. I like the place, but my boyfriend doesn't because he says the things he has gotten are too greasy. Anyway, this time I ordered pick-up, and while the food was decent, I was super disappointed they included one little plastic container of rice. I ordered almost $80.00, worth of food, including a soup, a couple of main dishes, a few sides, and when my boyfriend got home there was just the one small container of rice. Not only that but the rice just didn't look good. I had to cook some rice. Not sure what they were thinking, but for an order like this, it would not be the time to skimp on the rice!

Very Tasty and Pleasant Atmosphere

By lv75 |

I was very surprised that this restaurant was that good! It is located in a quite casual area at Dadeland Station that I did not expect to be so tasty! The service was great. We had a very friendly waiter who was very sweet and came back many times to ask us about our food! It DOES have a GF (gluten free) menu which is what we needed since my son is allergic to wheat and gluten. He ordered the Flat Noodles off the GF menu which were "amazing". I had the Red Chicken Curry which was also guaranteed gluten free and was also delightful. My daughter had the Teriyaki Salmon that was also a home-run! If you are in the area don't miss it! Very, very good place to eat lunch out with your family, friends, etc. There is an extensive and excellent gluten free menu.

Excellent food and service!

By Ciri D |

Lan Pan-Asian Cafe has been a favorite of ours for two decades. My husband, children and I have enjoyed dining at Lan consistently for the last 20 years. Some of our favorite dishes are the poke bowl, red curry beef, and their extremely fresh sushi rolls. The Sakura Roll is our absolute favorite, with fresh crabmeat and sashimi pieces on top. Their lunch special is always a great value as it brings a green salad, some fresh sprouts, and a California roll along side of a miso soup. The service at Lan is always on point. The staff has been working there for many years, and they treat each customer like family. Pro tip: There is plenty of parking under cover on the second , third, fourth, and fifth floors. They have a reward program that will accumulate points every time you visit that you can use towards a reduction of your bill.

Favorite lunch spot.

By RoseViajera |

Friendly wait staff. Great fresh foods. Love the lunch specials which offer 3 courses. Wonderful homemade ginger ale.

Best place for pan Asian at an affordable price.

By okimat |

The fact that this restaurant has withstand picky Miami eaters for over 10 years says it all. Consistently amazingly good food, service and menu options keeps me going back. A must go if you are visiting or a resident!

Same old same old

By Robert L |

Food is consistently good. As always I had the appetizers, a chicken Katsu, calamari and ribs. Filling and excellent the quality of the food is superior and worth going to.

Come For Lunch

By Peter M |

One of the greatest (if not the best) lunch spots you can go to for the best bang for your buck. I have been here two times now, and tried two different entrees. My favorite is the red beef curry. Did not care for the tofu dish not because of the spiciness but too gooey & overwhelming with not enough veggies. However, the value comes into play before the entrees come out, getting a miso soup that has a pleasant broth & green leaves of some sort scattered about. Right when you finish that comes the platter that can be your meal in itself, consisting of a basic salad (with a light addicting dressing), another mini Asian salad that's interesting, & an actual whole California roll (fits my taste buds not being a sushi fan). You have your meal for the day here & if you want even more liquids, they have an expansive bubble tea bar. Eat lunch here if in the area!

Disappointing takeaway

By rupert m |

i regularly get takeaway when staying in the adjacent hampton 3 times asked for plastic cutlery, get back to hotel - soup and no spoons... 2nd time this has happened secondly the sushi for one was very disappointing, the fish was so tough and chewy i couldnt eat it. bearing in mind its 20bucks, one expects better. finally the service was slow, paying and they run off for 10mins to get change becomes very tiresome hope it picks up as it remains convenient

Delicious sushi at Dadeland Station

By Catherine M |

My husband and I have come to Lan Pan before, but on this last visit we came with the kids (14, 12, and 9). It was a Sunday evening and were seated right away. We did a family style dinner by ordering a variety of sushi rolls and sharing them. The kids devoured the sushi like no tomorrow. Our waitress was friendly and the food was quality and filling. Very happy with our experience and will definitely continue to come. Parking is in the Dadeland Station garage.

A great lunch deal

By Rick H |

We've been Lan fans for some time, and particularly enjoy the lunch specials. Miso soup, a nice salad, a california roll and an entree for *.95 -- all delicious. You can't beat it, and it makes for an excellent, reasonable business lunch in a quiet environment with great service.

Nice Asian fusion restaurant! The smoothies are good!

By Sisi M |

I tried both dinner and lunch there, and I highly recommend to go for lunch because of the great value. The lunch is cheap and big portion! The dinner is a bit pricy because the food is not very authentic Chinese food compare to what I can get in a good Chinese restaurant. The smoothies are very popular, I always offer the Thai tea. But it is bit shocked for me that the rice costs two dollars and the waitress didn't mention before we order it!

Unusual location, but good food - try the pine nut crusted snapper - the best!

Can't Pan this Asian Cafe

By Glee47 |

Sometimes I am so busy writing reviews for the latest and greatest restaurant, I forget about reviewing my old favorites. I have been coming to this ground floor restaurant in Dadeland Station for years and always have gotten a good meal. It is a low key, cutely decorated spot with great lunch specials and a walk up station for bubble tea. I frequently come when shopping (Target, Micheals etc...) as a relaxing lunch after shopping. Be warned: this place is packed during the Holidays. Sometimes there is a wait, but it usually goes pretty quick. The crowd consists of: shoppers, business people, tennis players after a game, soccer Moms, casual dates etc... If you are a single, you might be asked if you want to sit in front of the sushi bar. The lunch specials are a great deal, $9 or $10 bucks with a wide variety of food. I love the chicken dumplings so much, I almost always come back to these steamed pot stickers, with ground chicken filling, served with a tangy dipping sauce. My last visit, I got the shrimp with carmelized onions, which was tangy, sweet and good and have also gotten the salmon, which I would have liked if I liked salmon. The lunch specials come with miso soup, california roll, salad with a creamy dressing and your main course. The food always tastes fresh, with a good balance of flavors and the portions are large. I usually take something home for later. The little attention to detail- a bean sprout salad, with sesame oil and vinegar or the pineapple relish with fresh cilantro to go with the dumplings, take this place from ordinary to great, in my book. Lunch is quick, healthy, delicious and under 10 bucks. Where else can you get that in Miami? It is why I keep coming back, over and over again. I have also been for dinner, but you don't get the same value as lunch (no lunch specials), so now I stick to lunch. So, if you're stomach is growling after a day of power shopping at Dadeland Station, you know where to go.

Casual Sunday lunch

By Dave R |

Located in a busy shopping mall, this find was a pleasant surprise. While physically small with tight sitting these negatives can easily be overlooked because of the freshness of their food and friendly attentive staff. With ample free parking in the adjacent garage this resturant is easy to access. It appears very well maintained and clean. We had sushi for one and a Dragon roll, I was surprised how rapidly our food arrived considering the number of patrons in the place. Presentation was very good, portions of sushi were large and tasty. Prices are very reasonable, coupled with great service you can't go wrong. We plan to come back again.

Great Lunch menu

By VeroargentaMiami |

Excellent lunch menu from 10 to 12 dolars. Nice miso soup and sushi rolls. Do not miss the Jazmine tea with bubbles, is exquisite !!!! The service is very friendly and food comes a little bit fast so my recommendation is to order the first plate and then the rest. Fresh food, the sushi is very fresh and delicious !

Mother's Day dinner

By Ncl7 |

I went with my family for Mother's Day dinner. We waited 30 minutes to be seated which wasn't a problem considering we had no reservations and it was Mother's Day. Unfortunately, once we were seated the service was not very good. It started well but went down hill after that. A few snafus with the drinks, but the real problems were with the food. The food came out in bits and pieces. Half got their food then another one then another. When we finally got all our food. We're asked if we wanted dessert because the kitchen was closing!!!! Really? Some of us had just started to eat and you're asking if we want dessert? And the kitchen should not close as long as there are customers still there eating. We were being rushed out of there. Overall not a good experience. The food was not that good to make me want to return and put up with bad customer service. Won't be going back.

Great Meal Aways Consistent & Creative

By Hartee H |

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The owner/chef Johnson The is wonderfully creative and his menu does not disappoint. We have been patronizing this restaurant for years. While the menu has changed slightly, the new items are certainly creative. The restaurant is a mix of Asian foods with some fusion mixed into some of the dishes. While dinner is great, lunch offers a great deal with the fixed priced meal that is more than an excellent value. The prices are more than fair and that is why we regularly patronize Lan. Lan is a great place for a family meal or meal with friends. They are also kid friendly as I have brought my kids here since toddler age.

Asian food

By HectorFL |

We went there on Mother's day. The place was busy. The service was not very good and slow. They did not bring the appetizers all at one time, and the dinners were also brought at separate times. The BBQ Korean short ribs were excellent, but unfortunately the other dishes were not that great and somewhat bland. The miso soup was not very good. We will not be back. I gave it an average rating because the ribs were good, otherwise it would have been lower.

Nice Place

By David B |

Had the tamarind shrimp with caramelized onions, miso soup and salad while my Japanese SO had the shrimp dumpling and agedashi tofu. I enjoyed my meal, while my SO and I thought her tofu was a bit too sweet. Service was oood and the place was packed for lunch.

I've been coming here for years with my girlfriends and we just can't get enough of it. Great lunch specials (that don't apply on Sundays), but everything is fresh and full of flavor. The last time I went I ordered the vegetable curry dish and man was it good. They are also extremely generous with the serving sizes for the price you pay.

Delicious Asian Food

Good service and good food. We were very tired after a whole day of events and conferences, and this was a great escape for relax and having a good time. I had the Minty Crustacean Roll and the Black Bean Shrimps, delicious, and for dessert Chocolate and almond wontons. Good suggestions...

Creative, delicious food ... don't get put off that it's below Target

We took an out-of-town business guest for dinner last night. Wanted to stay close to the Dadeland Marriott. Have to say that his expectations kept lowering as we passed upscale Nordstroms, then Penney's, then pulled into a parking garage below Target. But since we've eaten at Lan many times, we knew that both the food and the service would be excellent. And they were! If you're looking for great food and a Dadeland-area location and you don't need upscale location and decor, then try it.

Good food, great soups. Average prices. Easy walking from hotel. Under Bed, Bath, and Beyond for students needing a place to eat!

I've really enjoyed many meals at LPA. Service is courteous and friendly. Food is very good and the sushi is fresh and well prepared. However I much prefer eating in. For the first time this week I did take out and did not like it at all. Don't know why but food did not taste the same.

So so

Today the food was not very good. Mind that I did not say it was bad. It was good but definitely not very good. Thus the average note. Maybe they are under new management. They have changed the decorations but the food is just so so. I will not come back very soon. Also, service was not very good. Lots of new faces.

Lunch Deal is Well Worth the Wait!

My boyfriend has always recommended this restaurant, specifically for its lunch specials and I'm not sure why I've never ate at Lan Pan Asian Cafe even all those times I came for delicious boba taro tea. Finally, got to go with him and was so surprised by truly how great their lunch special is at this tucked away restaurant in Dadeland Station. The place was packed and I'm glad we got a table since I did notice others waiting during my meal. These lunch specials provide an abundant amount of food because they are served with miso soup, a large fresh greens salad, a small bean sprout salad, and a California roll. We ate all this and Shrimp Dumplings $5.50 as appetizers. The two salads were delicious, haven't had anything similar since the last time I was in Thailand. The Shrimp Dumplings blew us away; can't remember the last time I ate good dumplings like that. For my meal, I ordered the Beef Curry $9.95 which was so good it reminded me of my Thai moms! I was a little irritated though that it did not come with rice considering I always eat curry with some... My boyfriend ended up ordering the Snapper Katsu $10.95 which was a nice size and cooked perfectly. Favorites would have to be the shrimp dumplings and the beef curry, but can't wait to try other items on their affordable lunch menu. This is a must go to for those living in Pinecrest or anyone hungry after a day of shopping at Dadeland!

Fast service and excellant food

This restaurant is small(compact) very busy, service was fast and good. But if you want to make it leisure, they stay on top of your needs. I order two rolls and it came with delightful salad very good and different. Wasn't expecting such a good salad with my great sushi. The service were nice and explain when you ask. a question. I ate 3 times at this place in a 10 day period. and never disappointed. prices are excellent.

Very good food and service

This is a casual place with an open kitchen displaying beautiful fresh fish and offering an extensive menu of sushi and dishes from many Asian countries. We ate our lunch dim sum style from the starter menu and enjoyed everything – pot stickers, chicken katsu, egg rolls and California rolls. We were there before the noon rush so our waiter Joselito had time for pleasant conversation – as enjoyable as the delicious meal and good service.
