Great little place! Delicious pizza by the slice! Decent prices. Good selection of pizzas to choose from! Highly recommend!

Casual pizza joint. Limited seating. Pizza by the slice. Ate basil/tomato pizza. Thin crust. Great. Loud music played and had two tvs.

This was not Traditional Tiramisu – FAKE. Their Tiramisu was made with whipped cream not mascarpone. There was only one small piece of ladyfinger and not a hint of espresso or coffee liquor. And for what it was – it was cloyingly sweet almost inedible. I ordered delivery - it came late for expedited delivery (Uber's problem? with no reimbursement ) - the entrees arrived hot, but the quality was mediocre.

very good pizza and very friendly staff. Ordered from the front counter and waited a short time for very good pizza. Perfect to take home a whole pie or a slice if continuing to walk around Little Italy San Diego.

After closing down Bottlecraft I was craving a bite to eat before heading back to my hotel. Little Italy all shuts down about the same time and many of the restaurants I walked past were closed but Landini's was still open. I popped in and picked out 2 slices($7) from the case that didn't look all that appetizing but they stuck them in the oven for a few minutes and came out delicious. The only downside to this late night snack was the slices where a bit greasy but I would hit them up again. Just grab a stack of napkins.

We stopped by Little Italy on a Friday evening after a long day at Sea World. We wanted a more inexpensive meal so pizza was a great choice. The calzone was quite good as well and received a good tip from our waiter. The restaurant was very helpful after a incident occurred with our party. We would recommend this to family and friends in the future.

The pizza here was very good NY style pizza but unfortunately the taste of the pizza was overshadowed by the dirty state of the shop. I know this is a pizza slice restaurant; I don’t expect it to be as clean as a fine dining establishment but I do expect the following in any place that serves food: 1. Food handlers wearing gloves or, if not, not touching money from the cash, touching their faces, their pants etc (and if they do, washing their hands before handling food); 2. Clean floors and trash not piled high in the garbage bins; and 3. Clean bathrooms (if you go anywhere with a dirty bathroom, run). I am writing this review for management in the sincere hope they address these issues . You have a very good pizza; don’t let that be ruined by issues that can be easily addressed with better training of staff and instituting of some rules.

Choosing your slice from a display case of prepared pizzas was a little off-putting but then I ate the pizza! WOW! Absolutely the best pizza crust I have ever had. We love St. Louis-style pizza (thin crust - Imo's) but this...well, this was the ….I can't find words! The sauce was light but seasoned perfectly and toppings great. Pizza is pretty much all about the crust, right? So don't eat everything but the edge, folks, you're missing the best part!

Stopped by for lunch after a boat cruise. Friendly staff, good pizza. Sit upstairs if you can it is open with nice views.

From the reviews this place looked like a gem! We walked from our hotel and found the place in the “little Italy section on downtown”. I will be short to the point. Pizza - 3 1/2 stars Atmosphere/cleanliness- 0 stars! The place was the most disgusting place I have ever been to. Flies everywhere, garbage over flowing, tables that looked like no one cleans them ever. My husband ordered the pizza and paid before I could tell him (we are not eating here). So... We got the pizza to go and left as quickly as possible and had to walk to another area to eat! The pizza was good not the best New York style I’ve ever had. The over all rating can’t be more then a 2 star. Honestly how can you stay go to this place it has the best pizza and not notice how unsanitary they keep the place!! It says a lot for how much they really care about the place. I would never go back.

This is their specialty, buy it by the slice or order a whole pie. We got a veggie combo and were very pleased with the thin, crisp, hand-tossed crust, upon which sat a very tasy sauce (we would have liked a little more sauce however), and the toppings of our choice. It was surprisingly light, for an 18: pie, and the two of us polished it off with no second thoughts. In the Little Italy part of San Diego, there are umpteen different places to buy pizza and this is not the best we've had but Landini's certainly a very nice runner-up. Price was cheap but I suppose it is a reflection on you get what you pay for. The up-side is, we had plenty of room for gelato later!

The pizza was pretty good . Loved the little Italy area but will try a different place next time, not bad just not great.

Stopped in for a quick slice on the go. Very tasty. They have wifi and lunch specials. Polite staff. Would go again.

My wife and I shared a pizza and salad. The pizza is unique and very good. The place is has a nice feel and nice interior design. Will go back.

The pizza was good and the person who took our order was very helpful and enthusiastic And we saw the chef rolling and throwing the dough in the air Overall it was a good experience and I recommend it

The pizza here is amazing! There was 4 of us split the 2 slices and 1 drink lunch special. The pizza was so good. We got the classic cheese, pepperoni, pineapple/ham and BBQ chicken. Definitely stop in!

The pizza was good, but wasn't a place I'd have to go back to. The crust was well done (not mushy) which was a plus. The sausage & Pepperoni toppings were a bit bland and probably reduced my overall review for the pizza. If you order for delivery, they charge $2.50 for a standard 12 ounce can of soda which I think is a bit of a rip off. Also when my order was placed I was told it would arrive in 55 minutes. It actually arrived in about an hour and a half.

We flew to San Diego from GA for my college graduation and Little Italy was at the top of my list. We walked and walked until we found this amazing place. Customer service was top notch, establishment was clean and welcoming and the pizza was UNBELIEVABLE!!! My daughter & I placed our order then set outside to take in the sites. The cashier brought out our order and was such a gentleman in doing so. We are fans for LIFE :-)

Seriously some of the best food we have ever eaten! We are pizza snobs and this pizza was fresh and delicious!! Also ordered chicken parm sub and chicken pesto sub..both again, fresh and wonderful!! Also, service was fast and friendly! Check this place out!!!!!

Excellent NY thin crust, crispy pizza. And they are open later than the other restaurants on India St. pizza was fresh for slices and a wide variety to choose from. Definitely recommend.

The atmosphere was very nice and the wait staff was attentive. The mushroom salad was tasty. The pizza was good (average), but had a nice thin crust that was cooked perfectly!

We chose Landini's because of trip advisor reviews, and for the life of me I can not figure out why the good reviews. There is a main area of the restaurant, an upstairs and a back deck. We were seated at the back of the building, on a deck. There is absolutely no atmosphere on the deck. It wouldn't take much to make the deck inviting...twinkle lights, table cloth on the table, and a candle. Once we were seated I asked the location of the bathroom. I was directed to the main area, which was back to the front of the building. I used the restroom before my daughter, and after using the facility I found there was no toilet handle to flush the toilet. I went to the front and spoke with a man in the preparation area. I inquired as to how to flush the toilet. I was told it was broken, and they couldn't leave to get a new handle, and they'd fix it the following day. When I pointed out my daughter needed to use the facility, I was actually told to go next door. I looked questioningly at the man I was speaking with, and he then stated we could use the bathroom upstairs. Well why didn't he say that to begin with, rather than telling us to go next door! There were 5 of us and we ordered two pasta dishes to share and a pizza. Each entree is approximately $22. We ordered the pasta with cream sauce, chicken, sun dried tomatoes, lasagna, and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. 6 men sat at a neighboring table after us, and they were brought bread. We were brought bread about 10 minutes later. It took about 30 minutes to bring the food. The pizza arrived first, and then the pasta with cream sauce. The pizza was very large, but it was not warm, and there was very little sausage and pepperoni. It took an additional 10 minutes for the lasagna to arrive. We sent the pizza back, and it was re-warmed, though this made the crust chewy. We were offered a new pizza, but we didn't want to wait 1/2 hour for it to be made. The chicken in the pasta had no flavor, but the sauce was tasty. The lasagna was skimpy. The only positive aspect of our meal was the waitress and waiter who served our table. Both are from Italy and they were very friendly. They were clearly not responsible for what is a kitchen problem. There are many wonderful places to eat in San Diego. I'd recommend skipping this restaurant.

Easy, cheap, quick, and good pizza. Grab a slice and sit outside and watch the people go by as you devour your thin crust piece pizza with fresh Italian-like toppings. The gluten free pizza is the best I have ever tried.

Cute cute spot in San Diego’s little Italy- recommend by many locals! From the Uber drivers, hotel staff, shop keepers. We popped in on our last day for an early lunch, so no wait- had pizza by the slice- I did one piece with wine, he did two with a draft - both $10.50 - they heat it up in the huge oven, so it is piping hot! Very good thin crispy crust

We were in Little Italy during our trip to San Diego and found this restaurant using yelp. The pizza was incredible and the service was still with her as well. Most of us ate pizza but if you had salad that was terrific too. It is definitely on the list of places to remember next time we are in San Diego.

Yesterday was my third visit at Landini's. As always you feel welcome when you enter the restaurant and have a nice chat with the friendly and funny people behind the counter. As I'm totally into pasta, I ordered Pasta Amatriciana which then was fresh cooked and hot served for me. The sauce was excellent and well salted. If you like good pasta for a fair price, give Landini's a chance!

The food is great! A lot of options. Family business and every day at lunch you will see the owner and his parents enjoying a meal together. True Italians! All the ingredients are fresh daily. Craft Brews and Wine options. Even gluten free options. Check it out!

We ate at the restaurant upstairs the night before and wanted to try the pizza so we stopped in to try it and fell in love! Great pizza and super friendly staff. You will not go wrong!

We ate at Landini's because of the TA rating. We must have gone on their off day. The best thing about the pizza was the crust and sitting outside to eat it. I got a BarBQue chicken slice and could only eat 1 bite. My husband got a slice of pepperoni and sausage then a slice of just pepperoni and said it was average. I also got a slice of a Hawaiian pizza that had tasteless toppings but great crust. If I was ever in the area again, I would choose a different place to try.

We enjoyed our first Landini’s lunch today. Warm bread opener with balsamic vinegar and olive oil was remarkably tasty. Misty and Caesar salads were fresh and crisp. Margherita and Ponte Vecchio pizzas were delicious and not over spicy. We’ll be back.

Great pizza, crispy and very tasty. Pasta al dente and great taste as well. The place itself is very small, order on the counter and try to catch a seat or stand on a high table. Atmosphere is bustling, place is small but food is great.

We were looking for a low-key, evening in option and ordered online! Wow, delicious pizza and speedy service!! What a treat!

Surprisingly good, the pizza is all super fresh, friendly staff and very quick. Good place to grab a slice before or after your night activities.

We ate dinner at this restaurant and, unfortunately, it got very busy just as we arrived. The food was good but the service was very slow. We waited a long time for our appetizer (bruschetta - yummy) and for our drinks. Serving sizes were good - big without being overwhelming. We did not have pizza but saw them at other tables around us - I would definitely recommend.

The service was very quick. The prices are moderate and fair. We will most definitely come here again for lunch or dinner.

We had a stroll around San Diego one evening and ended up in Little Italy. As we were just a little hungry we decided to go to Landini's and share a pizza. In the end we had two slices of pizza and a beer each. The pizza was delicious and the slices are really big so good value too. The guys who were working there appeared to be having a really good time, making a really good atmosphere.

Odered the Lasagne & a pasta dish to go. Overall, it was a reasonable price and the food was good quality. The Lasagne was my pick of the 2 dishes ordered! Staff were friendly & very helpful.

I live in Little Italy and while there are many restaurants to eat good Italian food, when I want just a couple slices of pizza, and a warm friendly place to sit, I eat at Landini's. I'm here 2-4 times a week and it's their pizza and friendly staff and atmosphere that has me coming back for more. 🍕

We were strolling through the dozens of Italian restaurants in little Italy, trying to decide on something authentic. Google maps gave this a good rating (when we searched for eateries where we were walking) and decided to give it a shot. The lunch special at 16.99 comprising an appetizer (Bruschetta), Salad, Ravioli in a pink sauce and sorbetto. The price was very reasonable, considering the quality of the food. We sat at an outside table and the service was friendly and prompt. Would recommend this tiny gem anytime.

There are so many restaurants in Little Italy and my husband and I want to come back and try them all. But this time we were walking around with the kiddos and pizza by the slice at Landini's was the perfect quick dinner. A nice big slice, crust was neither soggy nor overly crunchy, generous toppings. We had a Greek salad that was pretty good, though the dressing was just a packet of Ken's Italian. The service was friendly and they happily made a plate of plain buttered spaghetti for my picky eater. There is seating inside and out plus a bathroom in the back.

We were stuck in Little Italy on a Sunday with no reservation and a plane to catch. We tried a few other restaurants and saw Landini's. They had a table for 5 and no waiting! The decor is spare but contrasts beautifully with the rich food. We ordered cesar salad, insalata illando, pappardelle al granchio, cioppino, penne arrabbiata, some sangria and chianti. The bread was delicious, the service was exceptional and so very attentive. You really should try this place. I don't think you can go wrong.

Came here one night on a brew tour, and had a meat lovers slice. The pizza was way too flaky, meat was a salt bomb with no flavor whatsoever, and the cheese and sauce was nothing to write home about. I'm only giving is an extra star because it was nice to sit outside on the back patio.

Just awesome. Stopped whilst touring the city for a 2 slice and drink combo. Pizza is amazing and just super tasty. Nice sir out on side walk with a quick bite and watched the world go by. Highly recommend buffalo chicken and pepperoni

We decided to try this place for dinner since we had already been to the more popular place next door. They do have a great thin crust pizza here. It was a bit lonely in the upstairs dining room as we were the only ones there on a Tuesday night. The service was good, food was good although all we had was the pizza and the bread, olive and vinegar they brought out. One thing that was kind of weird was the person sitting at the front door downstairs was asking us what we were looking for, did we really want a sit down dinner, not welcoming at all. It was almost like she wanted us to go somewhere else.

Landini's is a spot we chose to stop, have a slice, a drink, and enjoy the beautiful day sitting outside. Friendly, fast, plentiful, and very reasonable, this is a place to take a few moments and unwind. Like Pizza? Try Landini's

They offered a delicious thin crust gluten free pizza. Not sure what they do to make it taste so good but it was great. Service was good and it was busy. Definitely heading back there when I'm back in town.

Recommended at the front desk, I proceeded to seek out this establishment. Chose to eat in the upper level with a view. A little chilly, but well worth it. Had the Pappardelle Al Granchio. Lobster was tasty and pasta not overcooked. Service a little slow for the amount of people. My guess is the millennial service staff. Oh well, over all a good dining experience.

When I got to landini's pizza, I wasn't expecting much. I thought it would be like a dominos or something. I was very surprised to see that it was legit. It smelled like NY pizza they had pizza by the slice and a pizza display case. The service was good and very quick. They have outdoor seating as well as a dining restaurant upstairs. The pizza is served in all of their seating areas. I ordered a cheese pizza and it was awesome. It tastes like any pizza place in NY. The crust was crispy and the sauce was great. Landini's pizza is a great place to eat in San Diego.

we came down to little italy one night for dinner and came upon this gem. the place is fairly small but has a nice outdoor patio. the pizza was so so good. will be back if ever in the area again.

If you want something a little quieter be sure to get seated at the new restaurant located above the pizzeria. It's run by the same people. The atmosphere was trendy and very comfortable. The prices were reasonable, the service was outstanding (our waiter was straight from Florence, Italy) and the food was delicious. My husband said it was the best lasagna he'd ever had.

Delicious food, excellent service. Super respectful and cool. I definitely recommend it (Don't stop trying cheese cake!!!) They speak Spanish too

Pizza was great. Big slices. Very italian style. Loved it. Free refills on soft drinks. Has fountain cherry cola

This is the spot to be for a late night bite after hitting the bars. Great selection of pizza and friendly environment.

Was visiting my daughter in San Diego and took us to Landini's for dinner. A nice little pizza restaurant in the Little Italy area in downtown San Diego. If you love pizza, this is the place to go. There is a small amount of seating inside, but there is an outside area behind the restaurant you can eat as well. Prices are reasonable and not that expensive. Would definitely go back again.

We ordered from this place due to all of the positive reviews, and we were expecting this amazing pizza experience. Well, the pizza came fast, and it was big, but it was so disappointing when it came to flavor. Sbarro's pizza in the mall was better than this stuff. In the end we ate it, because we were hungry and it was food, but it was just bland. I hate to leave negative reviews, but we just found it really flavorless over all.

Being originally from Chicago, I'm choosy about my pizza and Landini's upstairs did NOT disappoint. Fantastic! Large, Thin crust dunked in oil/vinegar and red chilis served at the table on a metal rack and enough left over for breakfast. Cristiano, our waiter was at our service and arranged our table just perfectly for a lovely dining experience, even throwing in a birthday Lava Cake for dessert. Wonderful quiet dining experience for 9pm. Thank you! We'll be back! 😎

It was late, we were a bit hungry, so we grabbed a couple of slices to eat back at the place we were staying. Quite good, and quick take-out service.

After a long day of sightseeing and celebrating St, Patrick’s Day we decided to pick up something to eat and bring it back to our accommodations. We popped into Landini’s and order two pasta meals. I had the ravioli and my hubby had the lasagna. We picked up a garden salad to go with it. While we are waited (which wasn’t too long) we were entertained by the pizza guy who was quoted talented in the art of making pizza. We were amazed and how he could multi task making the pizza’s and managing what was cooking away in the ovens. Our meals was delicious for a take out meal and we both really enjoyed the freshness of the pasta and the taste.

Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the great food and out-of-this- world bread and olive oil dip. We ordered two different salads with added grilled chicken. Yum!

My husband and I went here on the first evening we were in San Diego. We walked from the Wyndham where we were staying. This restaurant is located in Little Italy, and on a Sunday evening, the crowds of people are horrendous. Everyone wants to go out to eat! I heard a lot of Italian being spoken by the tourists; cruise ship people? The cruise ship terminal was right across from our hotel so could've been. With the extreme number of people on the street we had a hard time finding the restaurant even with the house number. We had made reservations through Open Table and looked at a map, and it still was difficult. We finally spotted the lower pizzeria/pizza by the slice store and headed for it. When we got there, we had a hard time just getting to the restaurant hostess' podium on the sidewalk. The hostess checked for our name and we weren't listed. My husband checked on his phone and we had a reservation. The hostess said it wasn't a problem and they could seat us. (We also did not get Open Table credit for making the reservation.) Landini's is in an old store-type building, tall and narrow. It may have been a general store 100 years ago. Anyway, we were led up a tall and narrow stairway to the second floor where the restaurant is. Unless there is an elevator somewhere that I didn't see, this is not for people with mobility limitations. We had our choice of two different small tables and were seated. It was very dark on our side of the restaurant so we both got out our iPhones so we could see the menus. No candles or anything were lighted on our side of the small restaurant. Our server was over right away and brought us waters. We each ordered a glass of Albarino ($10 ea) which was on special. We were brought a basket of bread and a plate of olive oil with balsamic. The bread was a little bit dry and there was too much balsamic and not enough of the good-tasting olive oil. We got an order of Calamari Fritti ($13.50), one order of Pappardelle Al Granchio ($21.50), and a Sicilian Cannoli ($9), all to share. The Calamari was out right away and was hot. No problem with food sitting in the kitchen, this was a team effort to serve everyone quickly. The calamari was good and included two fried shrimp and fried jalapenos. The pappardelle was out soon after we finished, was served hot, and had good flavor. There was a lot of crab in the sauce and the pasta had good flavor too. We had the cannoli for dessert. It was good but not the most delicate or crunchy that I have had. The portions were large and satisfying. The restaurant was very cozy and there were some fresh flowers in vases near the stair. Our server worked very hard and provided excellent service.

On my 3rd visit and 1st in 2019 I had some great slices, Greek salad and hard cider at a reasonable price. Service is super fast and professional, hours very convenient ranking Landinis as my top choice for fast pizza, salad in town at a great value.

Fantastic options for take-out pizza. We grabbed a few and headed back to our hotel for a nice night in. Busy spot so get there early!

Authentic pizza creations and a great way to end a night. There is a nice patio behind the building with additional seating as well!

My friend visiting me wanted pizza so we headed over to Isola in Little Italy, where I had one of the best pizzas ever. Unfortunately, Isola was closed. We tried another place with a good reputation (Monello) but they too were closed. At this point my friend pointed to Landini's and said, "let's try that place." OK, let's. Not a good choice. We ate in the upstairs restaurant and shared a pizza with a couple of glasses of red wine. The pizza was thick, heavy with cheese and not particularly good. It reminded me of the pizzas we used to eat many years ago when I was in high school. If your taste buds are not refined Landini's is acceptable. But if you really want a good, thin crust, Neapolitan-style pizza, head over to Isola one block away.

Coming from an Italian family, I'm typically really picky about my Italian food. This was soooo good. We ordered the spaghetti carbonara with cream sauce and the pappardelle bolognese. Both were amazing. The service was great, and everyone was really friendly. This is definitely on my top return places in Little Italy.

If you’re looking for pizza by the slice with really good daily specials then this is the place for you. Don’t mind the chef, he’s really out there but that’s fine the food makes up for it. Again, this is not fancy by all means you are here just to enjoy the most delicious N.Y style pizza in little Italy. They also offer paninis, salads, wings, calzones and pastas. The owners Leo and Christine Landini also own the restaurant next door which is extremely intimate and totally different so depending on your mood you can choose either or. Got a single slice cheese pizza as a snack then realized they had daily specials! See attached pictures! Can’t wait to come back! Outdoor Patio, Dog Friendly!

Some menu items much better than others...very good pesto. The fettuccini with zucchini and pasta primavera not great.

Thin crust pizza with great toppings. Great service with a not stuck up attitude. Great combos. Craft beer is limited but it's better than bud light.

Stopped for lunch with my brother. He had pizza, I chose the calzone. Hands down the best calzone I’ve ever eaten!

My husband and I had just flown in to San Diego and arrived at our hotel for the night. We asked our hotel for some suggestions as to where to get a good late night snack. They suggested Landini's and they were right on! We sat upstairs which was really nice and because of the time of day we were the only ones upstairs. Great service and we loved our pizza!! Thin crust with just the right amount of sauce and toppings to make it really delicious!

This spot has a pretty decent menu, with a good variety of slices available. The pizza was tasty and fresh. It looked like there was a little bit of seating inside, but there are also tables outside.

On my 2nd visit today I tried out their pizza and it is phenomenal. The Ponte Vecchio(named after a famous bridge in Italy)is some of the best pizza I've had in years(pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives, bell peppers). The combination of ingredients, great sauce and top quality cheese made my day. I was also very impressed with their wings. The seasoning is just right and they are cooked perfectly. The bottle of real Italian Moretti beer was also delicious and memorable. The cook/server Chase is great at what he does with a cool, friendly demeanor. Prices are very reasonable for worldclass cuisine. Grazie Landinis.

The upstairs restaurant was an excellent value compared to the Gas Lamp district. We had the Pasta with clams, Spaghetti with meatballs, a salad and wine. Everything was very simple but tasty. We came here previously after 12AM and tried their pizza by the slice. We were desperate for something decent and it tasted amazing at that hour. It probably was good but we were super hungry. So it tasted great. For the money, the upstairs restaurant and Pizzeria are definite must tries.

Great pizza, thinner crust. Variety of flavors. There's pesto, there's jalapeño pepperoni cheese, White sauce onion chicken..

Unfortunately I am unable to provide a good review to this location. After a long day we chose to order pizza from this family owned location instead of a chain pizza place and have it delivered to our hotel and enjoy dinner with the family. I ordered directly through their website and waited. At time stated, my husband and I waited outside for 45 minutes. I called location and got a busy signal. I then sent a message inquiring on my order. After answering some questions I asked to get reimbursed. At that moment the order was received. I asked the deliverer why so late. He said it only took him 5 min to arrive. If that was the case the pizza should of still be hot. It wasn't! It was cold and hard! I must add that this is the first time I submit a review and sadly it isn't good. Delivery -1, food -1. Overall, nothing positive to provide.

Ultra-thin crust, perfect tomato sauce: I felt like I was eating a pizza from Italy or the South of France. Landini sets the bar for quality pizzas quite high. Friendly service and perfect pizzas made with quality ingredients and perfect technique are probably why this place is so popular. I will be back again, soon. Grazie mille !!

Went here because of reviews from trip advisor. The reviews were right. Pizza was excellent and pasta dish was just as good. Service was equally as good. Check this place out when in San Diego.

We had take out and the workers were engaging and hilarious, bantering with the customers. We ordered the Soprano (meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni) and spaghetti with meat sauce. The dough was thin and accentuated the toppings, just like I think pizza should be! It could have used more sauce, but still satisfying. The spaghetti was very good- the sauce tangy and meaty.

A Great Street Style pizzaria We loved the crispy thin crust and wonderful combination of flavours Great daily specials. Eat out on the sunny side patio or on the street in front.

Worst pizza I’ve had almost ever! Not only did we get he wrong slices twice but they were still beyond cold! No tracking system on how long pies had been sitting there even asked counter guy in pink hat, and he had no idea.. would not recommend.

We enjoyed walking around San Diego’s Little Italy. Enjoying the sites we worked up an appetite. We stopped at Landini’s Pizzeria. Had good pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with meatballs that we shared as a family. Was fun eating upstairs and the service was good.

Great service. Pizza was some of the best. Wife said the ricotta cheese was very good. So good that she ordered a slice to go for breakfast.

In the middle of the restaurant row of little italy stands Landini's restaurant. Just one of those places you can always count on for hot, reasonably priced food. Both the FOH and the BOH work very hard to serve a good meal. Grazie everyone, see you again soon. Vito.

We went there late night and there was still lots of kinds to choose from. Good for late hunger. Nice spicy pizza and veggi. We like that a lot.n

This place is amazing- questo posto è fantastic with a real Italian atmosphere and the service is fabulous especially GianLuca who was very attentive and helpful. By far the best Italian food in San Diego. Compliments to to the chief. A must visit spot every time I’m here in San Diego for business or pleasure. The spaghetti was tender and the fresh clams juicy and flavorful. Spaghetti ala scoglio was a generous portion that didn’t disappoint. My cioppino was full of fresh shell fish in a tasty marinara. The grilled octopus was tender, meatballs tasty and burrata fresh- a wonderful way to start off our meal. Tuesday was “date night” with a $1 bottle of Louis Perdrier Champaign as an extra surprise. Come here and ask for Gianluca to be your server for a fabulous meal and experien

Good pizzas Free wifi 8dollars for 2 slices and soda, cheap Nice location Employees quite sympathic You CAN go

I was on a four day business trip in SD and ate at this hole-in-the-wall three times. They have proper N.Y. pizza. Just the way that God intended. Delicious and surprisingly hard to find. Highly recommended.

Had the lunch special. Any 2 slices and a small fountain drink for $7 plus tax. Pizza was fresh not sitting around. I work in the pizza business so I know what to look for. Good variety and fair amount of toppings. Good flavor and the crust was crunchy which is what I prefer.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We are very picky about our pizzas, but they managed to live up to our standards. We (a family of five) shared two 18" pizzas and took three slices with us. Worth a visit!

We had single slices of pizza which were both excellent. Quaint little shop run by Italians - at least they looked and sounded Italian. Inexpensive and quick.

Yummy New York Style PIzza in the great little Italy area. Good Value and Great Staff. lots of seating indoors and outside.

We decided to go to Little Italy and wanted to eat pizza. So we stopped at Landini’s Pizzeria. Excellent authentic Italian pizza, thin crust, crispy edges, flavorful pizza! If you love pizza this is the place to visit if you’re in Little Italy.

We did the lunchtime special which was great value for money, tasty and authentic Italian food. If you want a beer with your meal need to eat inside which was air conditioning

Just ordered takeout in our hotel and this pizza is amazing! Big slices with flavorful cheese, tatsy meat and the best sauce. Thin crunchy crust, so good!

I love a good carbonara and Landini's did not disappoint! We had a table upstairs, it was quaint area that filled up quickly around dinner time.

This restaurant sells pizza over the counter. The food is good but not exceptional as some of the reviews suggest, the staff is friendly, prices are on the lower side, 4$ per slice or 8.5 for a combo (2 pizzas and soda). Wide selection of pizzas. The place itself is worn out and feels mucky. The restrooms are not clean.

Very crowded because very good. Worth the wait for pizza like the east coast except you are in San Diego. We got a plain pie and a pepperoni pie. Both delicious. Will only get pizza in San Diego from here.

good pizza, can be by the slice or a pie. nice selection of flavors and all is fresh. people are really nice!

We have been in San Diego visiting. We drove back today from Anaheim and wanted an easy pizza at our downtown hotel. I was happy to see this pizzeria was able to be delivery through Uber Eats. A large pizza was cheaper than most of the other meals on this trip and was one of the best meals we’ve had here. I wish we had some like this in Ohio! We bought a Soprano pizza and it was delicious!

Landinis is a go to restaurant for Italian food lovers who are purists and relish adherence to the highest old world standards. Their Spaghetti allo Scoglio(means sea rock where crustaceans live) batted it out of the park. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the shrimp were huge and succulent. The mussels, clams were perfectly tender and juicy. I also enjoyed the subdued classic atmosphere and the exceptional service by Christian. Landinis is a chance to experience the authentic Italian old world tradition that is world renowned.

We came to Landini’s for an authentic Italian pizza. Maybe it was not exactly like in Italy, but it was good. We chose a cheese pizza and added a few toppings. The pizza is HUGE for two, the crust is thin and crispy and ingredients are good quality. A bit too rich for our taste, but overall, a good pizza. We took home half of it :) The Tiramisu is the real deal! Service was ok, but a bit below American standards.

Landini's is one of San Diego's legendary pizza spots, serving up tasty, delicious, thin crust New York slices since 2009. I've eaten all sorts of pizza in New York City, so I can confidently say Landini's beats out more than half pizza joints in NYC. Landini's devine crust is thing, crispy, but can still do that signature fold. The cheese and sauce ratio are well balanced, and the toppings are always lovely. My one gripe is that the $6 slices could be a little larger for the price. Especially since Point Loma location is just a tiny stall.

This is a good place to drop by for a casual meal. I had the daily special; one slice of pizza, salad, and a drink. The salad was very large. The pizza was good and hot. I think it was about $9.00, so it was a good value.

Quick bite ... No a/c on with this hot day. Price was fine. Buffalo pizza was yummm... Kid got plain noodles... parmesan cheese is in individual packages.

I thought this place would be nice but not, the price for the food was OK although the food doesn't look fresh at all. What I found disgusting was the conditions of the place itself. This place looks dirty. I think some repairs need to be done at this place, floors were dirty as well as the bathroom. Not a good place at all to visit if you are in little Italy. It's disgusting. The only thing I have to recognize is that all the personnel of this place is very friendly and nice. I hope this review helps the restaurant's owner to consider to make some repairs in order to maintain the good reputation the place have reached on TripAdvisor website before.

Very filling and tasting Italian cuisine. The food tastes authentic and the pasta tasted like a nice home cooked meal. Everything was very rich and flavorful, with great pricing and a cool back patio!

My husband and I stopped here as part of a beer tour. The pizza is fantastic! Make sure you walk out the side door and head around the building to the back. They've got a lovely HUGE seating area! It's great for large groups.

It's no longer there , it looks closed even though we saw some people outside and something had burned outside the restaurant walked by and there was a Lil kid watering the tree if u know what I mean ...omg 🤦♂️ so disappointed...

We ate in the upstairs section of this restaurant which was quite busy for dinner. I enjoyed the spaghetti bolognese with its large, home made meat balls. My daughter loved the way her pizza was made so she returned the following night for takeaway. The restaurant was quite expensive when compared with others we dined at during our trip.

I enjoyed the slices, fast service and was able to snag a seat outside. I had a pepperoni and sausage and a pepperoni.

If u like thin crust wood fired pizza, this is the place in Little Italy. Everyone talks about Fillipi's eh, too thick.....matter of choice no doubt.....Lantini rules

Swung by for a quick dinner to get the 2 slices for $8 deal. They gave me an extra slice because there was a huge bubble in one of them. Pretty quick service but the pizza was a little crunchy. Still I’d recommend this place for a quick bite.

Nothing authentic about the pizza! I doubt the clientele or chef have ever been to Italy!! Bland, no seasoning but lots of cheese on a base that resembled a nan bread, very tough & not a thin authentic base!! Shocking pizza for the expensive price!!!!! Don’t waste your money!

I had 2 slices of pizza for $7. I originally wanted 1 slice + salad, but they were out of salad, so I had 2 slices. Lots of different selection, and the staff were friendly.

There are many places to order pizza in the area. This one has been around a long time and was located across the street from the home we rented. Its always busy with pizza by the slice as well as made to order available. The restaurant itself is little, quite warm with the ovens and open kitchen design with a small assottment of tables on the street, along the side and then a covered deck along the back. Its all about the pizza so the place is basic. We ordered 2 pizzas to go and they were HUGE. They fed the 6 of us and we had leftovers for days. I found the crust thin but a fit crispy for Italian style. I would recommend take out from here when you want pizza and are gonna head home to sit outside or watch a movie. Eating in looked cramped, uncomfortable and hot.

The best thin crust pizza I have ever had had a Landini's. A wide variety of toppings - too many for one visit so I had lunch here twice. Two slices and a pint of beer for just over $10 - I call that a good deal! You can be swanky and dine on the sidewalk or head out to the back deck. I loved the deck and the pizza but the other food items also looked just fine.

We had the special 2 slices and a drink for $7.99 the pizza was absolutely amazing and the staff was great to chat with!! Highly recommended

Hands down the best pizza in Little Italy ! We actually liked it better than their competitor right next door, Filippi's Pizza. The lobster ravioli with crab meat in vodka sauce was awesome too !!

Classic Italian food, everything is well cooked a nd presented. I highly recommend the vegetarian pizza and the spagattie. The cheese they use for both the pizza and the spagattie is filed with flavor and quality. If you ever visit little.italy this place is a must! They close late at 11 pm so that's a bonus too.

By the slice pizza at street level - cozy sit down restaurant above. It’s an old building (old house?) with a steep narrow interior staircase to the restaurant. It’s worth the climb. Excellent happy hour wine & food specials from 4-6 weekdays. We had buratta as well as crispy deep fried brussels sprouts which were truly half price. Liked it so much we stayed for dinner. Try the lobster ravioli.

If you want thin crust pizza by the slice along with salads, soda, and beer then this is the place to visit! Lunch specials everyday and of course if you want a whole pizza, or fresh pasta dishes, you can order that too. Local delivery is a bonus!

We stopped in for a sit down meal. We got a Chanati wine, 18" peperoni and onion pizza, and Italian salads. Allwere great. Only downfall, we had to walk up a narrow steep stairway. There was plenty of Italian communication.

We stayed at the hotel round the corner for 2 nights and went looking for somewhere to eat found this place and it had a brilliant deal 2 slices of pizza and a soda for $7.99; wow it was delicious we ordered 2 different slices and sat outside to eat, the service was quick and there was a constant stream of customers, the next evening we went back. Would certainly recommend a visit whether for lunch or for evening the staff are so friendly

I ate lunch here once before but today I think the slices had been in the case a little to long. By the time they came out of the oven from reheat they were a little, just ok. On a more positive note the flavor was good wish I would have gotten a fresh hot one right out of the oven. Good place for lunch and nice people working behind the counter.

The pizzas here are HUGE! I'm a heavy eater, and definitely couldn't finish a large by myself. The wings are also great, and I always get them as a starter.

The specials make for a great value dinner. Had the pizza and beer special, went back for seconds. The pizza is good, get it by the slice or a while pie.

We got great pizza and salad, nice cold drinks and ate outside. The staff was very nice and engaging, it was a great place for a great lunch at a great price. (I'm reviewing the downstairs restaurant, we never tried upstairs)

I had a slice of pizza here yesterday while walking through little Italy. I was impressed with the pizza and tonight for dinner I thought I'd try the Stromboli. I am from from NJ and have been unable to find any Stromboli that came close to what I know until now!!! Delivery time was exactly what they estimated and the driver did not have my drink with him so he went back and brought me two!!! May have to have another item off the menu before I head home!!!

Best pizza in Little Italy. Many varieties to choose from, but the BBQ chicken is my favorite. Two slices and a soft drink is around $9.00. Patio in the rear is roomy and a great escape from the warm, cramped space inside.

We were in town visiting & stopped there randomly for a quick bite. The staff was super friendly & the pizza was awesome!! When we came through town a few days later, we went back & they remembered us!! The staff was still friendly & the pizza was still awesome! Totally recommend!!

We were disappointed overall. Nothing close to authentic NY pizza than the size and shape. The adjacent patio area is dirty and had Homeless wandering around. Didn't feel safe. When I went back in for chili saw flies inside the case so ended up throwing it away. Nahhhhhhhh

I stopped here for lunch and service was quick and good. I had quite the selection of over ten pizzas by the slice and ordered the two slices lunch special. All the pizzas looked very tasty so whatever ones you pick out you cannot go wrong. A must stop for a lunch while in Little Italy!

If you want NY style pizza in San Diego go to Landins's. It's not Brooklyn but it's not bad.\ fof California,

Best pizza in San Diego, as far as I'm concerned. The crust is thin, light, crunchy and a bit burnt. PERFECTION! Stop by for a slice or whole pie. We stopped by on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. They were all hard at work both days. Do yourself a favor and go

We made reservations for dinner here on a Thursday evening. Parking is a big problem for anywhere in Little Italy . . . highly recommend using Uber. Access to the upstairs restaurant is a little daunting with a set of very steep stairs. The upstairs restaurant is very small but relatively comfortable. Our server was accommodating and nice. My husband had the Super Tuscan wine and I had the Grillo white wine, both very good. We both ordered the Ravioli All'Aragosta (ricotta, spinach and pink vodka sauce). It was very good, but it came with nothing on the side, so we should have also ordered a small salad or vegetable as a side. We would recommend this place and we would return.

poor quality food served in foil dishes and paper plates. My partner sent her awful pasta dish back and was given 2 slices of tasteless pizza in return. The lasagne was ok but portion was small and served in a foil dish. plastic cutlery and glasses Expensive , poor quality food Toilets in dirty condition.

Great pizza, great atmosphere! Vintage little Italy! Inexpensive; i had the artichoke and olives slice and my husband had pepperoni slice and buffalo chicken slice, all were excellent!

When in Little Italy we had to try some pizza. Landini’s Pizzeria is a quaint pizzeria. The showcase features a line of pizza pies. If that doesn’t get your mouth salivating! In the back are tons of pizza boxes lined up along the wall and Eric expertly spinning the fresh pizza dough. After deliberating for five minutes, we finally decided to get the Ponte Vecchio - pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, onions, black olives, and green peppers and the Meatball Ricotta - meatball, ricotta, and marinara. Both were cooked to perfection! Esme was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We truly felt like we were in Italy with the warm hospitality and delicious food.

The pizza was very doughy in the mid crust, and not acceptable to us..could have cooked a bit more..Tastes were good, and the atmosphere was good.

Price is reasonable, although overall pizza very well recommended here, was not what we expected. It took also a long time to be served a simple pizza. Disappointed.

Stopped at Landini’s Pizzeria for lunch. The pizza was made to order, hot, delicious and fast! We appreciated the quick service and great attitude our server had. Restaurant has seating inside and a small patio, restrooms were clean.

We had just arrived in San Diego and as our hotel Best Western Bayside was close to Little Italy I found this Italian restaurant offering a good lunch deal. Two slices of pizza and a beer for around $10. There is a good selection of pizzas available precooked which once chosen are heated up in the pizza oven. The slices were huge and the beer from a selection of tap beers was also of a good size. I had a slice of supreme and a spicy pepperoni and pineapple pizza. Value was excellent and very filling but pizzas were slightly above average. 3.5 out of 5 would be a fair ranking but as I can't do so on Tripadvisor a 3 star ranking was chosen.

Good pizza and great options right on the strip. It was quick, clean and very tasty. I had the pepperoni, and another one I can’t remember. A couple outdoor tables made it nice.

Not the best pizza I've ever had, and not the worst. It was just ok. I had a slice of cheese and a slice of buffalo chicken. It was cool seeing the chef making the dough and the behind the scenes process.

First Night in SD. Hotel staff recomended Landini’s. Superbly delicious Ravioli served with flatbread! Sauce was so flippin’ good I dipped my flatbread in the sauce, ok really it became a wipe down all over my plate to get every ounce of that yummy sauce. Ordered a house Cabernet and omg delicious. Great first night food experience.

Pitchers of cold beer. Awesome pizza in Little Italy, San Diego - Bueno. Had the sausage and pepperoni pizza. I'm a happy boy. Go here

If you are in Little Italy, then this is the place to go eat. Great food, a great atmosphere and a wonderful wait staff.

The key is to set your expectations - essentially it's a takeaway with a few tables that you can try and pinch if you want to sit there and then. Prices are excellent and the food is as good as many other places on India; we had lasagna and pizza, both fine although not superb (lasagna needed more sauce, pizza a bit cheesy).

Landini's is an amazing pizzeria. They offer large pizza slices and many to choose from. Daily lunch specials include a single pizza and drink for around $7. Add a salad for less than $9. A few small round tables exists on front entrance sidewalk. Free soft drink refills. There is a restroom. There are high stool tables and traditional sit down tables. A set of TVs highlight inside dinning. The staff is friendly, service is quick. Great location for pizza and salad at a value, and great for lunch if you have little time, they're quick to serve.

Bland pizza over loaded with bland greasy cheese and no sauce on base with NO! Seasoning at all...... Delivery took double the time than first quoted and pizza was cold when it arrived!!!

My husband and I were in the mood for a lighter dinner of pizza. Boy, did we hit it right! The pizza and Caesar Salad were so delicious and more than enough for the two of us. The service was also very good. If you a looking for a simple meal, this is a perfect spot.

As strangers it was a little confusing........ Landinis is a downstairs slice bar, the sit down restaurant goes by another name (I can't even remember what it was) and is upstairs. At first we thought we were being enticed into another establishment by the dazzlingly pretty front of house hostess who stands outside on the pavement! Anyhow once it became clear we had an extremely authentic Italian experience, a huge pizza to feed 2-4, a nicely cooked tuna, and a perfect carbonara. It was all we could do to fit in 2 excellent desserts between 4 of us. One of the nicest meals we have had in 12 days holiday, hope to visit again before we leave.

This has got to be the worst ppizza I've ever had. I'd rather have frozen pizza. I went to the one in Point Loma and it was like eating cardboard

We enjoyed their pizza. Service was friendly and quick. Only downside is interior needs to be kept cleaner. It wouldn't keep us from coming back though.

The margarita pizza is the worst I have ever had. In fairness, I brought 3 different types of pizza by the slice which was reheated. But they were uniformly lousy and we couldn’t finish them.

On this visit I had 3 slices: Pesto, Cheese and Meatlovers. They were all great. The crusts were light and crispy. The Meatlovers had alot of juicy, tasty meat. Service is very fast as usual with a comfy, warm atmosphere on a rainy day. I rate best pizza value in San Diego(quality * price). Highly recommended.

This place was amazing. Customer Service was on point super friendly environment, not a lot of space to sit down and eat but this did not hinder are ability to enjoy our food.

Definitely what we felt like for dinner- the pizza was so delicious and the pasta was yum too! It was cool being able to watch them spin the dough too. Fast service.

Had been here about year ago and the kids loved it so much the first time they wanted to go back again. Just like the first time the staff was great and the food was excellent. Pizza and pasta dishes were great and probably recommend anything on the menu.

So many choices on great big single slices! I had one that was ricotta, jalapenos, pepperoni and pineapple. Delish! And I don't usually like pineapple on my pizza. Don't skip this place.

I went to little Italy in San Diego looking for pizza and wanted something very casual. Landini's looked like it for the bill. The gentlemen waiting on me were very kind. I ordered Stromboli and was told it would take 20minutes. Okay, that's reasonable. 30 minutes later I went looking for it and took it to go. I asked for a plate and was told there's one with it. By the time I got back to my hotel that plate was so soaked with grease it was virtually useless. At least a had the bag. They obviously cater to a take out crowd and not those who choose to "eat in".

We went here one night and I ordered pizza by the slice which I would recommend if you're really hungry and don't have the patience to wait about 20 minutes for them to make your pizza. Someone else ended up taking my moms pizza when the guy called her name (we were sitting outside) and when he noticed he offered us that pizza and to make the one we ordered as well. My mom said no because there is no way we could eat that much pizza and he insisted on giving us something because I don't think they can give us the money back that would be different from ordering by the slice vs. a whole pizza. We ended up with half a pizza and some pasta from him! It was super nice and they were all very apologetic about our pizza getting taken by someone else. Would definitely recommend this place.

Arrived late in San Diego so needed somewhere close to the hotel and still serving! Saw Landinis recommended on here so walked up through Little Italy which was lovely. Not really a restaurant, more a street food place with tables and chairs inside and out. The Mexican pizza was delicious and my pasta was too but very garlic packed! We went back for more 2 nights later, highly recommend!

From the choice of pizza to the slice, a terrace on the Italian street. We had a good evening, the pizzas filled us up. If you want to eat inexpensively and sufficiently in this famous street, go there.
Close to East Coast/NY style pizza
It is tough to get a good slice of pizza, especially if you have had pizza on the East Coast but Landini's makes awesome pizza and they do slices or whole pizzas. I love the variety the have and the customer service is good. They get you in and out within a few minutes and the pizzas are always fresh.
