Brunch with the family on a rainy day. Wonderful brunch experience with excellent meals, and a decent setting and service Very busy and we were fortunate not to have to wait too long. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, especially one of us with a Thai inspired breakfast wrap Definitely worth the wait

The most delicious breakfast ever. Coffee is amazing and there staff is super nice. They have very good home made strawberry jam.

We went to Lapisara for dinner one evening as it was walking distance from our hotel. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We had two Thai dishes as well as Tom Kha soup which was wonderful. They also offer some non-Thai entrees (burger, fish and chips) if preferred. We wanted to go back a second time but unfortunately it was a Tuesday and they were closed! Definitely recommend, and (unlike other San Francisco restaurants) it will not break the bank!

Good stuff. Went for brunch. Had a burrito which was very good. Definitely recommend if in the area. A little loud indoors, but not unbearable.

We went for dinner on a Monday night. It was very quiet given the day of the week, and we got seated straight away. The server looked after us very well, and talked us through some items on the menu we were not sure about. We had the lemon wings and tofu rolls to start shared between the three of us which were delicious. Then for mains we had the prawn pad Thai, Thai pasta (spicy) and the crab rice. All of these were fantastic, and very authentic as Thai dishes. It was so good that we went back the next day to try their brunch menu. We were not disappointed. Again all of the food was so good and free refills on the coffee too. Between the three of us we had the chicken and waffles with a Thai twist, which looked and tasted amazing. I had the farm house breakfast with Thai sausage, again it was so tasty. Also we had the French toast, again no complaints. This place is well worth a visit for dinner or brunch, you won't be disappointed. The freshness and presentation of the food was top class.

We came into The City for our annual weekend just before the start of the holidays. As part of our time, we scouted out affordable, quality dining options, and Lapisara came up in our search, so we made dinner reservations. The menu was creative and as mentioned, affordable (two people can leave with under $100 for dinner). But I'm afraid that's where the "pros" ended. 1. In winter, despite making reservations, insist on being seated as far from the front door as possible! It's freezing!! And it doesn't help that the restaurant also does not seem to want to turn on any heat inside (it was chilly throughout our stay!) 2. At two points, it seemed that perhaps our dishes were forgotten. We were patient, and eventually (20 minutes later, for dessert, for example), they arrived. 3. The food quality and taste were not bad at all! But equally so, I don't understand the hype behind this restaurant. Maybe we didn't order either of their better dishes? I'm not sure. Again, it was not bad! But I would call it mediocre. I'm not sure that we will return. We live in the North Bay, so we're in The City a lot. But I doubt we will venture over to Lapisara again. Should you flat-out avoid this place? No! Should you heed the advice given? I'd recommend it, but the choice is yours.

We canceled reservations at another restaurant considering the great reviews that this place has. It seems that most of the outstanding reviews are for brunch or breakfast, however we came in for dinner. We had the softshell crab, and coconut soup. Both of which left a lot to be desired and the soft shell crab with essentially inedible due to the level of grease on the dish. You could not taste the unique flavor of the crab due to all the garnishing‘s that were heavily spiced. On the other hand the pad Thai was very good and it was ordered with large shrimp. Overall we were disappointed and we’re expecting a better meal. The staff was lovely and very helpful and the attention from the staff was outstanding. It seems that in a city like San Francisco there may be better Thai places to go to. However if you’re planning on breakfast I will definitely give it a try since there appears to be long lines for the morning meal.

On our last night in San Francisco we walked to Lapisara Eatery from our hotel in Union Square and had a terrific meal of Fresh Rolls, Crab Meat Fried Rice, and Pad Thai Shrimp. The food was excellent!

We found this place. Saw a queue, decided to wait. We waited for about 30 mins. It is a cosy restaurant. Suited for breakfast and brunch. We choose the marcaroni soup, classic breakfast. Was good. My family love the food. We would come back if we have a chance. The old lady boss is friendly and the queue is well organised.

I was really disappointed by Lapisara, the menu looked so good! We arrived fairly early on a Sunday morning and seated right away. We were pretty excited to be seated as it was Easter and we weren’t sure what type of wait we were up against. Unfortunately this is where our waiting actually began. After being seated it took approximately 15 minutes before anyone even came back to greet us or even give us water. After waiting , we placed our order for coffee and two salads. Again we had to wait about 15 minutes before we even got our coffee. I literately had to stare down the wait staff and ask for water (the first time someone came to talk to us) and then to get our coffee 15 mins later. About 30 minutes after we got our coffee, we noticed people who sat down after us were getting their food before us. Once again we had to ask what was going on. Finally our food came and the salad was tasty (only redeeming quality of our visit). However , the food didn’t even come as described on the menu. The salad was supposed to be served with sourdough toast and we didn’t even get that. We didn’t bother asking, once we finished our salads, we promptly asked for the checks and got our ASAP. I’m not sure why the service was so poor, the staff was friendly enough otherwise. I won’t come back nor recommend to others.

Of the 3669 restaurant options in San Francisco, we choose these guys for breakfast. We will go back! The crab omelet was simply amazing. The real sourdough bread and coffee were wonderful additions. My Lady got the Classic, which was yummy as well.

What a wonderful breakfast spot - well placed near Union Square. We would highly recommend the Avocado Toast - which had well balanced flavours, and was served in a good portion size. The classic breakfast items like fried eggs, bacon and toast, were done to a high standard. The menu is wide and diverse and you could have chosen something exciting and new every day for a month! The gluten free provision is great, with gluten free toast available and various items that can be made gluten free. Service was quick and friendly - with food flying out of the kitchen after 10-15 minutes; despite a mostly full restaurant. Thank you for a great experience Lapisara, and we would highly recommend.

Good service, terrible food. There were no prices on the menu for wine. The burger we ordered was cooked dry, flavourless, stale bread, and even the tomato and lettuce didn't taste good. For the Go Wild bowl and rice, the meat was way overcooked and tough, and I had lots of basil storks in it. Aside from good service, I do not recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food for brunch and dinner. I came 3 times in a week and I have always been very satisfied. The service is very gentle, fast and soft. Nice quiet place with no waiting time. Highly recommended.

We went to San Francisco for our honeymoon and we ended up eating at Lapisara Eatery EVERY day! Definitely our favorite brunch place. The avocado toast is probably the best I have ever eaten (and you have no idea how instgramable it is ;-)) my hubby loved the steak and eggs. Best quality. Stylish place. Great service. Two thumbs up! Regards from Zurich.

Excellent, up to it’s reputation, we had two different mains and both were fantastic, I recommend without hesitation. Good service, very quick and helpful recommendations

Waitress was very helpful in assisting me in choosing a dish to match my desired appetite. She recommended the salmon toast. It was a good recommendation. I ate the salmon toast outdoors and enjoyed the crispy sourdough bread, the plentiful lettuce and the pile high salmon. What a delight. I requested a side of olive oil to top it off.

We visited this restaurant for a breakfast based on good TA reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The service was amazing, food delicious, coffee just like I love it, a small cappuccino.

Wow the food is terrific here! We had fast service and the food was delivered quickly. We had good drinks and they made me a delicious mojito. Very convenient location to our hotel.

Great avocado toast had it with a side of bacon and sliced tomatoes. Good coffee. Not the absolute absolute best in my life but place is very comfortable location and staff/ service is super attentive. Will return

Went here for the last dinner of a 2 week long trip from the UK. It was amazing. The Mussaman Curry is one of the best things I have ever eaten. If I ever take a trip to San Francisco again, I know this place is 100% worth visiting again.

They don’t respect the times they put here (TA) or in their door information. We visited on a weekday 7:30 pm and it was closed, we could clearly see people inside but doors were locked. If they cared about consumers they would show accurate information. So disappointing.

My daughter and I stopped in for breakfast. The food was delicious..I had the Eggs Benedict and my daughter had the French Toast and they were fantastic. The service however was slow. Our waitress was a slug.

Excellent quality preparations. The experience feels "fresh" from the sparkling ambiance to the smiling waitstaff. The menu is nicely varied at breakfast. Evening brings great Thai flavors. Note that wine pours are very small. Stick to beer. And you'll like the spotless modern bathrooms that will unevitably follow.

I found Lapisara on TA and thought I’d give it a try since I was staying nearby at the Westin. A quick and easy 10 minute walk and I found it without a problem. I was warmly greeted and seated at a nice table with a street view. The server immediately arrived and introduced himself and offered me water and any other beverages of my choice. I ordered the app sampler because I wanted to try several items. The starter arrived with perfectly prepared calamari, delicious egg rolls, succulent chicken skewers, samosas, shrimp, with several sauces to go with each. Excellent choice if you are looking for a few different tastes. Due to the large app, I ended up getting an order of Thai fried rice to go (I wanted the Drunken Noodles but was too full to give it a try). The jasmine rice was perfect, and the fresh vegetables and tasty chicken made the dish a complete success. If you are in the area, looking for top quality Thai food, highly recommend Lapisara.

We just checked in to our hotel and walked into the first place that had availability. My husband will not try anything out of the meat and potatoes and was pleasantly surprised by the happy hour special of potatoes with bacon. He had theThai steak with rice and it was mild enough to eat and brought a smile to his face, that he actually tried something different. The service was .excellent. would go back again.

Internet pictures looked great and inviting but the reality of the food was disappointing. The mussaman curry looked and tasted old. The noodles looked fresh and tasty but not of the meat. Perhaps breakfast here is a better option. However, service was efficient and attentive.

Incredible breakfast. Superior ingredients. The best Benedict eggs ever. Do not hesitate to opt for the seasonal fruit cup.

Took a stroll to Lapisara for a late breakfast after reading some reviews on Tripadvisor. The staff and front of house are welcoming and we were seated immediately. The place was full and busy, the menu standard fare. Get the bacon with spicy sauce it's delicious! Sourdough with homemade jam finished off a nice breakfast and set us up for the day.

Delicious food, very good portions. We here 2 days in a row during our visit to San Francisco. We ordered the avocado toast, the croissant with eggs(huge) and the pancake set. Everything tasted amazing and was really satisfying. Coffee was great as well

My daughter’s Choose it for our road trip . We decided to walk a few hilly street and found this place. A bit long for a wait because it’s full. We ordered Fried Chicken Waffles, New York steak breakfast, Avocado toast and Breakfast sandwich! And the Q Bacon!! Waffles came and crispy buttermilk chicken and taste great, from the fresh fruit and syrup were something we don’t get in Asia. The New York steak was a little tough, it was not prime cut so understandable. The star of the menu was the Q Bacon, sweet and spicy and we love them. Indeed it’s a great mix of Thai and western/American culture collided on the plate. If you are looking for more the good brunch, try Lapisara!

When we arrived there was a bit of a queue and a waiting list to fill in, but we didn't have to wait too long and were very glad we stayed. The brunch was delicious and there was a good range of options. We were sure to choose options that come with break to try the strawberry jam that's made by the restaurant and on each table. The eggs were nicely cooked, the sausage with Thai herbs was particularly good and we all made use of the option to swap potatoes for a fruit salad - it was almost three meals in one. The refillable coffee was also good.

I selected Lapisara for brunch because it is a short walk from the Curran Theater and 3 of our party were going to a matinee there afterwards. I was impressed with the friendly, attentive, and efficient service at this small restaurant with a varied brunch/lunch menu. We arrived at 10:15am and could have been seated immediately had all of our party been there. The restaurant is so popular for Sunday brunch that they only seat you once everyone has arrived. Our gracious hostess checked in with us frequently to see how soon the rest of our party would arrive. She reassured us that despite the size of our party (7) a table would be ready when we needed it. Sure enough, it was. By the time we were seated at 10:35am, there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. I had the blueberry pancakes and thoroughly enjoyed them. The waffles and fried chicken were also a hit. If you are noise averse, be aware that once the restaurant is full, it can be quite noisy. On our way out, our hostess suggested we come back for a Thai dinner one evening. I plan to do so.

Excellent welcome as we walked through the door, helpful waiter/owner who talked us through the menu. After explaining our options he was only too happy to explain them again.

Smelled like urine in the entire restaurant- we have moved to a different spot and it did offer us several whiffs on the way to our new sanctuary of smells. As this was the first place in town where we sat down we considered it an issue of the city - we soon discovered that it wasn’t after spending several days and dinners out - fancy or casual dinners alike.

Excellent Thai-inspired cuisine with an incredible value for money. We were there for dinner and the 3 of us with absolutely abundant dishes spent around 65 dollars. Both the noodles and the rice dishes are exceptional. Also noteworthy are the kindness of the staff and the presentation of the dishes.

I visited Lapisara Eatery with my family in dinner time.I thought this restaurant’s foods taste really good.Taste of the foods is in Western style,so it may not be problem for foreigners that wanna try Thai food. However the taste wasn’t bad for Thai people,it could be say that the taste is suitable for everyone.Price also reasonable. But menu in lunch time and Dinner time are different.

A short walk from our hotel. The best eggs Benedict ever! So delicious, clean, and comfortable. Thy were very strict about having to see your vaccination card for inside seating, which I appreciated.

Our family agreed this was the single best meal of our trip to San Francisco. We went for brunch and had to wait about 20 mins. It was well worth the wait. Staff was amazing, coffee and tea was amazing and brunch was top notch. My wife had the Tom Yum burrito, I had the Lapisara Classic with the Queen B bacon and my daughter had the Chicken & Waffles. All blew our minds at how each bite was tasty! Worth the Uber ride and better than tourist traps like Mama’s.

So glad I decided to give Lapisara a try. Service was excellent - from the warm welcome when I stepped into the restaurant to the solicitous care from multiple staff members, it was quite amazing given how busy they were on a Sunday morning. Space is small and a bit of a squeeze but no one seemed to mind because the food (and service) was generous and so good. And the vibe was just positive and conducive to conversation over a good meal. I tried the Holy Chili Bomb Basil Omelette, which was presented most prettily on a plate with dainty edible florals. It was essentially a spicy Thai Basil Ground Chicken (or Gai Pad Krapow) wrapped in an omelette. I had enough to make two meals. Great job Lapisara! If I'm in the area again, I will be a repeat customer.

A pleasnt walk from our Hotel on Geary. We arrived about 10 a.m. on a Friday morning. We were pleasantly seated immediately and given our choice of two locations. The surroundings are very attractive and it was a "High End" clientele as we looked around. We had traveled to Thailand so were enjoying the Staff that were from Bnagkok! I ordered the Chicken and Waffle w/ Bourbon Maple Syrup. Our order took quite awhile yet I understood "WHY" when my choice arrives. The plate was exquisite and I have never experienced the crust on Chicken before. It was seasoned and the texture perfect. My husband enjoyed his Heuvos Ranchero at the suggestion of someone next to us. Wish we could have stayed for dinner!

Angry waitress, salty food, they took your money without your authorisation. I am not how they did it, maybe fake my signature. Be careful if you pay by card!!

We found this cute little restaurant online via Trip Advisor and decided to give it a go for our supper. Based not far from Union Square it is easy to find on the corner of Post Street. In the evening the menu is Thai food and beautifully waitresses were excellent and very attentive. We ate the vegetarian spring roles for our starter and then the prawn phad Thai for our main courses. Delicious and very generous portions. Compared to many places we have eaten in the USA this was great value and not too expensive. Expect to pay around $25 for two courses.

Heartwarming welcome. Beautiful room with high ceilings, cozy relaxed lounge atmosphere. Well composed plate: the steak cut into slices is very nice. Ask for Raw if you want rare. Medium rar being "on point". Pleasant dinner and decent bill.

Get there early, as it fills up quickly! My friend and I enjoyed a delicious brunch, which included coffee and juice. Their steak and eggs dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. My friend visits often and has nothing but great things to say about it. I would definitely dine here again.

Amazing Brunch. Visiting SFO for vacation and came here 2 Sunday’s in a row; we loved it so much! My husband had the Salmon toast, which was piled high with lots of salmon, Avo and salad. I had the Benedict Florentine with a side of ham. Honestly really delicious with every bite. Come early as it gets busy after 9am. They do have bottomless mimosas too, but it was a little early for us. :-) The only regret is that we didn’t get to come in the evening too, when they flip to a Thai restaurant, next time for sure. Staff are lovely and service is great. Highly recommended!

Excellent brunch spot. While a line out the door made us wonder if it was worth the wait; it moved quickly. Lot of choices, excellent service, very nice atmosphere, and delicious meal. I would definitely recommend. We both had the Farmers breakfast with bacon which was a very large flavorful serving. We would definitely come back!

Was expecting something better specially based on the reviews. Very average breakfast. Coffee and service were also average to slightly below average.

Went on a Tuesday morning and had the lapisara breakfast and added a side of the Thai sausage. It was delicious. The queen B bacon and sausage was the best part! Very friendly staff and looked like they have a great happy hour!

We came here for breakfast as a group of six. No issues with being seated straight away as it was fairly quiet when we arrived (around 9.30am on a Monday). Ordered a hot chocolate with cream, as did my friend. They came out nicely decorated; however, it was lukewarm. As a Brit in the States, we weren’t sure whether that is how they serve theirs, or if we were just unlucky. Yes, we should have said something, but someone else in our party had complained about their coffee being too strong, so we didn’t want to cause a fuss, and drank it anyways.. it wasn’t terrible.. just wasn’t what we had expected. Ordered the avocado on brioche toast with a poached egg, as well as a side of bacon. The egg was cooked to perfection. I really liked that it came with a side of fruit too - something I end up craving after a trip to America! Overall, a nice breakfast. The only issue is they won’t split a bill with more then 3 cards. So bear this in mind if coming in a larger group to eat here.

Enjoyed a brisk, hilly walk from my hotel to this little place. Service was good and food was better. Would absolutely return.

Excellent food nice ambiance great service. Definitely an experience to enjoy during your visit to San Francisco! Loved it!

Such a cute place with amazing food! Lapisara was recommended by front desk personnel when I checked into the Clft Royal Sonesta for an event at the Curran Theater. I ordered the veggie omelet, which came with sour dough toast, salad with a delicious sesame dressing, and potatoes. Flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. I enjoyed it so much I had breakfast there again the next morning. I ordered the huevos rancheros. Good - my only complaint was that I asked for salad to substitute for tortilla chips and was refused (seems like an odd refusal). Great coffee, too.

Legal environment. I only wanted a simpler breakfast with bread and eggs, but ended up having a brunch with salmon very early.

The scrambled eggs are fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy, relaxed and very welcoming. Love the unlimited mimosas !

Came here straight from San Francisco Airport aroynd midday on a Friday because we heard it was a quality breakfast/brunch spot. Finding parking took a little bit, but we found street parking. The spot was cozy, and food came out pretty quick. I had the dried chicken burger, which was a very hearty portion, and came with salad and fries. My wife had the NY steak & eggs, which also came with salad. Both dishes were excellent and cooked to perfect temperature. I had a chai latte. Wife had an iced Caramel latte. The reviews are highly rated for a reason. Check them out.

We had dinner the first eve in San Francisco. The pad Thai and the coconut curry soup were great and the service beautiful.

An excellent welcome. Fast and very efficient service. The setting may not be very welcoming but the dishes chosen were delicious.

We really enjoyed eating here. Come early in the morning if you want to avoid long lines. All of the staff were very welcoming and professional. It's a small space, so if there is a line outside, expect to wait a bit. Hint: it pays to have patience. We waited for about 30 minutes to be seated and then about an hour for our food to come out. We ordered their French Toast, Spinach and Shrimp Frittata and NY Steak & Eggs - all of which were made to perfection! We got so annoyed with this party next to us because they were complaining about how they have been waiting for 20 minutes already and that there wasn't even time to eat at the hotel and time to shop. She was obviously reaching for attention cause she spoke loudly and kept saying, "should we just leave? this is ridiculous. How could you take this long? We should just leave." BLAH BLAH BLAH. The thing is, we were seated before them, waited longer than them and we felt bad for, what we assume was the owner, because she spent so much time trying to figure out how to combine two tables to accommodate them and set the table beautifully. They were maybe seated for 5 minutes before they started their ranting. When the owner came by to take their orders she said it would take maybe about 15 minutes and boy they lost it after that. The owner looked so sad when they left, too. WE, on the other hand, understood the wait. There's bottomless mimosas and some big parties at the time that we went, of course you might have to wait long just to even be seated. The owner even gave us a discount because our food took long to come out, but we didn't even complain, so we tipped the discount back to them. Will definitely stop by again if we are in the area!

My husband, son , and I stumbled across this place when we Googled places for breakfast near our hotel. Thank goodness it was so close because the food was delicious. My son had the pancakes, I had the original benedict, and my husband had an omelet and yogurt with granola. The food was presented beautifully and the food was so filling and yummy. The fruit used was a nice variety unlike other restaurants that just give you cantaloupe and grapes. We also tried dinner one night where we at the Tuna tartar, salmon saap, and the taste of the ocean. OMG...it was so delicious that we returned the next night (which was our last) and had the exact same menu. The berry margarita was delicious and my son had the regular berry lemonade. I wish we had this restaurant back home in NC because we would eat there all the time. The waitress was so nice as well. We will miss this place but will definitely return if we visit San Francisco again.

Whilst walking through the streets of San Francisco we came across Lapisara a lovely family restaurant. This restaurant is a must to visit if you are ever in San Francisco, lovely fresh tasty food and friendly staff. Try the homemade jam it’s delicious 😋

We visited Lapisara for breakfast as we were staying at the nearby Beresford Arms hotel. It is a Thai restaurant, but offers hearty American-style fare for breakfast. The food was delicious (I had the farmer's platter-eggs, potatoes & bacon) and they make an excellent cafe ole. The service was excellent, and the owner (a nice lady) personally visited our table to make sure all was satisfactory. Would have liked to have visited them for dinner, but we were flying out that afternoon. Will definitely be back the next time I am in the Bay.

Discussing bacon. Suggary, greasy grot. Tiny coffee cups. Horribly expensive. A better experience at Burger King, McDonald's, anywhere.

Loved the breakfast but have yet to return for Thai dinner. This unassuming corner shop has the best Avocado Toast I never tried. My son said it was ample and delicious. I shared the Salmon Toast with my husband and at $15 it was substantial, covered in fresh micro greens and arugula. This is definitely a cut above and priced right. The coffee was no frills, but excellent. Refills were included.

Amazing food!! We had the avocado toast and fried chicken eggs Benny. Everything was perfection from my latte to the crunchy flavourful fried chicken to the dressing on the side salad. Definitely recommend for breakfast and worth the wait in line!!

Nice neighborhood restaurant a few streets away from Union Square. Mostly Thai. Food prepared well. Is open for breakfast with a fairly extensive menu that offers significant Thai touches. For dinner I ate a fried chicken sandwich, so grand I almost couldn't finish. Thai style soups are good. As are the curries and other rice dishes. Note that the restaurant usually closes midday for 3 hours.

we came here on the recomendation of our tour guide-glad we did after a 4+ hour tour of SF asked where should have dinner we stopped in and were greated graciously- order fresh rolls (8 or 10 halfed) on a cutting board w decicious peanut sauce on the side also cashew nut chicken w rice-really, really good w glass of sauvihnon blanc-a very good dinner

Ate brunch here on New Year’s Eve with friends and was so impressed returned with hubby that evening. Brunch was great. Perfectly poached eggs, yogurt & granola and delicious coffee started the day. The evening menu was Thai food. We over-ordered by mistake so brought leftovers away. Chicken satay skewers, veggie rolls, prawn stir fry & chicken cashew with sticky rice were all simply great. Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere added to the evening. Have already recommended to friends living in the area.

Great service, very good relax background music, delicious brunch options, exquisite coffee. Home made famous strawberry jam. Lunch options as well, cute presentation of dishes, water by the house, wine options, some soups, loved the environment the most, followed by the lovely owner meticulously worrying about each guest.

My husband and I stumbled into this place during our time in SF. The breakfast was delicious. I was super excited that they had a tray of teas to choose from. My husband enjoyed his coffee and loved the fact that they had multiple milk options. I got the meat lovers omelet which was full of bacon, ham, and sausage. The potatoes consisted of sweet, purple, and yellow potatoes, so good. My husband got the steak and eggs. He highly enjoyed it and they got the temperature perfectly to his liking. I would defiantly recommend this place for breakfast. The lunch menu also looked very good but sadly we needed to head to the airport so we couldn't come back.

The best eggs Benedict I've ever had, wonderful coffee and tea, and great service. Even though there was a line both days we were there, it was handled expeditiously, and turnover was fast as a result. The blend of American and Asian food, makes for exciting new dishes. My husband had an excellent burger with laab gai spices.

Lapisara was only a few blocks away from our hotel (Hilton Union Square), so we decided to come here given the glowing reviews and there's definitely a reason that it's so popular! Our meal was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We had the ube latte and mixed berry lemonade to start and both drinks were so different from each other and equally delicious. The ube latte comes with a frozen ube bear that's adorable and the drink has a rich ube flavor. The mixed berry lemonade was just the right amount of tart and sweet and I would purchase that to have in my home if I could. My wife had the holy chili bomb basil omelet and it was absolutely scrumptious; it basically tasted like you had a Thai fried rice within an omelet and that's just fantastic. I had the breakfast sandwich croissant and it was also delicious and buttery and just so tasty. We also tried a side of the Thai sausage that had an amazing flavor and it was unlike any other breakfast sausage we've had before. The service was good as well and it was just a great meal all around. We'll definitely be coming back again!

A truly extraordinary meal, the Massamun curry — a rich meaty stew with cinnamon and star anise — lives up to the hype!

The bacon and Thai sausage is amazing - large portions and well-presented. Friendly, quietly-polite staff. Spotlessly clean and a very relaxed environment. Good English breakfast tea, which is a rarity outside of England. Will definitely be trying this for dinner before we leave SF.

We were recommended this place by our AirBNB host for Breakfast and we are delighted to confirm that we attended twice in our 3 day visit to San Fran! The first time was the better order for me, having had the thai burrito which was AMAZING. My fiance had the special bacon the first time, and it was spicy and delish! Its not cheap, but nothing in San Fran is... I was happy to pay for the taste :)

Good food, caring attention, good service. Home made strawberry jam was delicious. Good coffee. My wife had a ham/cheese sandwich. I had an omelette

We came here because Lapisara Eatery had excelent reviews! We walked from union square. The breakfast was typical american and my bagel was great! The pancakes had a funny taste (not so sure if they were what we expected) and the bowl of fruit was nothing out of this world. The place is beautiful and the service was very good too.

Just block from our hotel and near the Curran Theatre. Terrific, sunny restaurant with outdoor and indoor choices. Service was friendly and the food was meticulously marvelous!

We ate here twice. Great coffee, service and food. Lovely brunch spot. The eggs Bennie and French toast were both excellent.

Visited here with a group of 5. The setting is very nice and yet understated, nothing over the top fancy, which is perfectly fine. Was concerned about 2 picky eaters in our group being satisfied with the meal. No worries, they LOVED it! After recently traveling in Thailand, I can say this restaurant serves truly authentic cuisine. We tried the chicken satay, the steak appetizer (a favorite) the tuna mango salad (yum) the shrimp appetizer, crab fried rice ( my personal fave), pad Thai, and salmon on banana leaves. All were outstanding! The accompanying sauces were delicious! The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Highly recommend!

We eat breakfast there today while staying at the Beresford Arms across the street. Service was great. The food was beautifully presented and tasty with unique spices. I had a savory fritiata with sesame oil and fresh ginger among other indigents. They describe their food as Thai Fusion. Whatever it is, it is good and on the edge of the Tenderloin.

Best restaurant we visited in San Francisco! We were lucky enough to have this gem a few blocks from our hotel. I read the reviews here and was not disappointed! Super friendly and attentive wait staff. Food was superb! My 16 year old son didn’t leave hungry either! Wonderful!

AMAZING! Quirky take on Thai mixed with traditional American style brunch items. We had the most delightful visit, service was wonderful and Fried Chicken Eggs Bene is the one! Would love to come back again so very upset to be on the other side of the world!

Loved it!! We went for Sunday brunch and absolutely everything we had was delicious and great quality. All 4 of us ordered something different and were extremely happy with our choice :-) The place is pretty popular so be prepared to wait in line. It will be worth it!!

Tired of hotel food, i checked tripadvisor for breakfast options nearby and found this place in front of my hotel!! Nice atmosphere, excellent service, good food , it worth the money.

I was staying at a hotel close by at Union Square so I came here for breakfast. I was lucky to get a table, since right after I came in a long queue started to form. I had some eggs with potatoes that were really well cooked. Service was also friendly and efficient.

This is a great breakfast place with great service but The traditional breakfast with eggs and ham was great . If you order a dish with bacon ask to have the hot sauce they put on it on the side then you can explore the flavors of the hot sauce on your own terms. The avocado test was beautiful on presentation and taste. Finally the Thai Tea Latte is definitely worth trying if you like Thai tea.

Busy with a very friendly service. Excellent menu and food was top notch. Pad Thai and Massaman curry a particular highlight.

This was our first stop in San Francisco; a Saturday brunch. Our smashed avocado on sourdough toast and freshly squeezed orange juice was worth the 20 minute wait to get in. It was the perfect start to our 4 day stay in this wonderful city.

After a long drive, we wanted something close by with good food. Lapisara did not disappoint — they offer a fantastic brunch menu in the morning, and the eatery reopens at 5 for dinner. Everything was fresh and delicious. The tuna tartare was a true treat.

Nice little cafe near Union Square. Staff were very friendly and , service was very good, nice decor. However, the food is the star here. My wife had the Thai fried rice with tofu, and I had the pineapple fried rice with chicken. Both were great! Prices were reasonable. Try it!!

During our 4 day stay we tried several different places for breakfast. This restaurant stood out, as it uniquely combines some Thai flavors in several of its breakfast dishes. My smoked salmon eggs Benedict were the best I’ve had in a long time, and my daughters pulled pork eggs Benedict had a nice bite to them. We tried the breakfast sausage add on and it was very spicy indeed, but then again, that’s what we liked about it. Presentation was very good as well. If you’re in doubt about which place to choose for brunch, as there are so many around Union Square, look no further. If we’d stayed any longer I’m sure we would have gone back to try some of their dinner options.

Friendly service, cozy atmosphere. The menu was also promising and the choice was great. I chose a mix platter as a starter and my friend the tuna tartare. As a main course I had the massaman curry and my friend the stir-fried pork bacon with rice. It was all very tasty, but we already received the main course while we were still working on the starter.

This Thai fusion restaurant is family run and serves tasty food. The crab omelette was excellent, as was the smashed avo toast. Prices were good too.

This was an excellent Thai restaurant. The restaurant is small but very cozy. The hostess/waiter was pleasant and the menu had a lot of wonderful Thai dishes, including cocktails , wine and beer. Our meals were both cooked to perfection. No complaints! Thanks to your team for making our evening extra special with an excellent meal!!

We went over for breakfast and had a lovely time. Everything was tasty clean and the dishes were big. We really liked everything and there wasn’t even a big line at the entrance so it was all in all a great experience

We had breakfast and everything was so tasty. Hot chili bomb omelette and chicken and fried rice burrito. The fresh juices were also great. Owners’ mother (owners are two sisters) graciously hostessing and stopping by tables to make sure we had everything. Very good service.

We both had vegetarian omelettes and were absolutely blown away by the fresh produce and Thai-style preparation. The atmosphere was very lighthearted and great for conversation, the staff were friendly and the food is absolutely incredible - I couldn't recommend more highly!

I'll go ahead and give it five stars, with a caveat. The day after labor day was not crowded. I was seated (solo) immediately, and there were plenty of open tables and about three lovely ladies working the floor. The latte comes in an adorable bear, undoubtedly making the gram with every guest that comes through. Their OJ was one of the best I've had in SF... fresh, but not overly pulpy. And yes, the latte was 'light' but very tasty. The Crab Benedict is a pricy endeavor, but when in SF, you must get crab at least once. The plate is HUGE with a lot of salad (the vinaigrette on it was amazing), potatoes mixed with other root veg (delicious), and the eggs poached perfectly and the special hollandaise was amazing (I asked for an additional side of sauce, as they sauce the eggs rather lightly). Everything was delicious and was almost too *much* food. It gave me fuel for the entire day. However, you will pay a hefty price for the meal. Worth it if you are visiting from out of town, and if you're local it might be the occasional special treat. Or maybe you have some of that sweet Silicon Valley money. Lucky you. Spend away!

We had the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and chicken waffles. They were both very tasty. They also serve a home-made strawberry marmalade that is also amazing. The service is also very good. Overall, it was a great experience!

Unique spin on food, good sized portions, good energy. We enjoyed our meals. The macha drink looks adorable and the bacon is 🥓 substantive.

Outstanding food, the bacon was delicious- spicy with a sweet sauce- fresh eggs & bread. Fruit cup was great.

Cute restaurant! Delicious breakfast. Love the chicken and waffles, but a little spice for some heat on the chicken would have taken it up a notch! Queen B bacon is tasty, but I struggle with the consistency of all the specially cooked and seasoned bacons in SF; they loose all crispness.

This is not a Thai restaurant. It’s a brunch place with a few uninteresting rice dishes that are labeled as ‘fried rice’ but they bring you steamed rice. The food is mediocre and expensive.

We went here based on the reviews on trip advisor and the public have 100% got it right as the price is mid stream however the food and service were both top notch. Do yourself a favour and get the the special B bacon 🥓 as a side as it was delicious.

Excellent option for breakfast at Union Square. Staff very friendly and service is very effective. We opted the Benedict Eggs with Salmon and Lapisara classic breakfast. Both were very good. The mimosa was suberb. Highly recommended.

I visited San Francisco with my husband and three children ranging in age from 7 to 14. I have very high standards in food and service so we were very grateful to find Lapisara. We stumbled upon it whilst for breakfast/brunch after leaving our hotel and refusing to pay the exorbitant cost there for very average food. It was everything we were looking for and more. We ended up going there twice for breakfast and once for dinner during our three day stay so that speaks for itself. The owner and all the staff are lovely and friendly and do whatever they can to help and great value. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Based on its proximity to my hotel and good TripAdvisor reviews, I had dinner at this Thai restaurant. It’s definitely a modest, understated environment, but the food is very good. I had the Tom Kha soup, and if I had known how generous a portion it was, I wouldn’t have ordered anything else. Piping hot, seasoned well (waitress asked what level of spiciness I wanted) and full of fresh vegetables and tofu, the sauce was so good, I asked for a bowl of brown rice to put in the soup. I also ordered the tuna tartare, which was attractive and very fresh.

Enjoyed our visit. Staff was friendly and pleasant. They made adaptations to our orders as requested. We had the sampler appetizer plate. It arrived reasonably fast and was tasty. Dinners were good and cocktails looked interesting. Door opens into the room without a wind break, so sitting away from the door during rainy or windy days is recommended.

Having been somewhat underwhelmed with quality and prices in San Francisco what a fabulous restaurant this is. The food was delicious, the staff were nice and attentive without being intrusive. Recommend this restaurant for dinner unreservedly. Just off Geary Street. Easy to find and only a short stroll from Union Square.

We were lucky enough to eat here during our recent trip to San Francisco. It was absolutely delicious and the staff were excellent. We did have to queue on the street for a little while but the staff were attentive and the queue moved quickly.

After a week in San Francisco I was glad to have a real good healthy breakfast. I spent a lot in different restaurants with eggs, ham and fat toasts. At Lapisara I got fresh fruits, Müsli and fresh orange juice - all this for less than 30 USD.

Queued for about 10 minutes but easy process to get a seat. Efficiently dealt with once seated. Food came out quickly and was enjoyable. Check arrived soon after we finished so were able to make a quick trip if it. I had the granola with fruit and Greek yoghurt and it was delicious.

The menu is varied and appears like it could be a little bit "fusion" with American dishes particularly for brunch and lunch. We wanted Thai food and we found that the dishes were authentic flavours and style. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it felt like a lovely family run business. All of the dishes for our group had exactly the right amount of spice heat depending on what we ordered. I enjoyed a spicy beef soup full of traditional Thai flavours. It's not expensive, the food is good and the service is genuine and friendly.

Perfect breakfast . All super tasty, service and food at hi-end level. They have and espresso as well, witch usually, not easy to find in USA.

Great Thai food for thai curry and soups. Visited early evening and enjoyed the food at OK prices. Will visit again on next SF trip and seeing other comments about breakfast will give that a try too. A must do.

Lapisara had DELICIOUS food. We went there twice for dinner during our stay in SF. The mussaman curry was the best dish we had on our 14 day trip throughout California. Their staff was super friendly as well. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Delicious Thai food ... was a great surprise. Highly recommended, although the lighting was a tad frustrating because the over head light was just enough off-center that it caused a shadow on the table. Hope the owners can fix that. But the food (Pad Thai) was truly delicious.

Wonderful casual spot with friendly and attentive staff! Great meal! Eclectic menu with a number of very creative options!

Great place to have breakfast . American and Asian fusion with a twist. Servers are very efficient! Will return . Do recommend changing the upholstery on the chairs!!

After trying day after day a few recommended places for breakfast in SF center, and felt that it’s just ok but the tastes are very “flats” and not interesting. I tried this one, that reminds me how breakfast should taste like. I have the smoked Salomon toast. It was delicious. And the coffee, great! Just the line to get it when it’s cold outside almost make me leave.. but in Saturday, it seems there are not many options around the union square.

I went to Lapisara solely based on a recommendation by my hotel. It was so good that I ate here four times in a week. Once for breakfast, once for brunch and twice for ThaI dinner. A few menu items that I would recommend are the Pacific Scramble, Waffle Set, Tom Kha Soup and Pad Thai Shrimp. The food is gorgeous and delicious. And the wait staff is splendid!

Great thai food in a nice and cosy atmosphere ... we liked it so much that we ate there 2 days in a row !!!

I went twice and each time the food was excellent, with well-sized proportions. It's also surprisingly not crowded for a good restaurant in San Francisco, and the food isn't expensive, seemingly around average or slightly less for downtown (and quite a bit less than around Fisherman's Wharf).

Queen B bacon was great! However, one strip was perfect while the other was a little too fatty for my liking. OJ was really good too.

This place is definitely a 5 out of 5 stars!!! Hands down the best eggs Benedict and omelette we've ever had!!! Get your money's worth right here! I consider myself as a perfectionist when it comes to eating out, and Lapisara eatery is by far one of the best places I've been to in quite some time (FYI I'm from over seas and travel very frequently to many and different destinations). As for sanitation this place is spotless from the restrooms up to the kitchen (I got a quick glance while we were waiting for our order to arrive). The service is exceptional, super friendly with smiling faces all around, and also very quick and efficient. And now for the main course...my wife and I shared the smoked salmon eggs benedict and the garden omelette. The pouched eggs were cooked to perfection, an amazing creamy thick hollandaise sauce and the side potatoes were just the bomb. The garden omelette is stuffed with mixed grill vegetables and cheese served with avocado on top, also came with roasted potatoes and to slices of toasted baguette and a ball of butter on top. The omelette was just right, not rubbery or soggy, the vegetables inside were delicious (not burned like I've had in some other places) and every dish looked more mouth watering then the other, I highly recommended this place! And wait till you the sizes of the portions, you will not leave this place hungry, believe that cause I'm a big eater. My wife and stayed in SF for a few days and we were looking for a nice place to have breakfast, we found this place very close to our hotel where we were staying. It was so good we went there again the next morning and let me tell you we were not disappointed.

My husband and I discovered lapisara eatery on a recent trip to San Fran. So delicious, such nice friendly and attentive service and the presentation of our breakfasts was beautiful. The homemade jam is very worth that extra price of toast. We will be back.

Excellent food with very large portions. The restaurant offers a wide variety of choices and has super service. The avocado toast with salmon was excellent. Great stop to grab a bite.

I had the eggs benedict, it was good but warm so possibly sitting for a while. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The location is convenient and walking distance to Union Square. Restaurant is clean, updated. I would go again.

Went here an hour before they closed on a Sunday brunch day. Food was delicious and the service was fast. We had the breakfast sandwich and the Florentine Benedict. The presentation was spot on and the ingredients were fresh! We both had the bottomless mimosas as well. Found this place off of TripAdvisor and am so glad we went. Would 100% recommend to others and if we had more time I would go back tomorrow!

We had a relaxing, delicious breakfast on a Sunday morning, sun was shining and we were sat in the windows overlooking the street, it's a bright, clean and modern venue with a busy but still tranquil vive. The service was quick and attentive, and the food was delicious. All the normal breakfast options which were delicious, but adventurously some can be changed for interesting thai takes on the norm'. The ginger & lemongrass chicken sausage was delicious, as was their Queen 'B' bacon which was in a delicious chilli flakes and sugar cure. Even more reassuringly, there was a mindful owner walking about too, who came to find out how it all went at the end of the meal too and make sure everything was going smoothly on a busy Sunday mid morning breakfast service. Thoroughly recommend this place for breakfast, if we had time we'd have tried it for dinner too.

We enjoyed a nice dinner here, just across the road from our hotel. We shared the Tuna Tartar and Taste of the ocean salmon. Both were delicious and nicely presented. The service was friendly and courteous.

We were told the restaurant opened about one year ago. They have brunch everyday in the morning and mid day, and Thai food for dinner. We came for brunch. It was really awesome. Several vegetarian options. The savory vegetable frittata was excellent. As was the peanut salad, the peanut dressed was excellent. They had homemade strawberry jam. They also made sochou cocktails, which were pricey but tasty. Dishes were just $15 or so. Definitely recommend highly. Good service.

Had a lovely brunch here after a wait of about 15/20 minutes but it was worth the wait. The hostess was very nice (& took great pride in telling everyone she seated that the jam on the table was homemade) & overall the service was very good. I had the Eggs Benedict with fruit salad both of which were very nice along with OJ (which was fantastic) & a latte. My wife had the Lapisara Classic - nice although the streaky american bacon was covered in syrup which was unexpected as it wasn’t mentioned on the menu so it was returned & swapped for avocado without fuss. The restaurant was lovely & clean with a nice ambience. The only negative perhaps was that overall the bill at the end came to $55 (before tip) so it certainly wasn’t a cheap brunch but overall it was decent value for money all things considered.

I could not be happier to have found this modest and elegant spot. I returned twice to have the eggs Benedict. All dishes are served with large portions by a truly efficient and pleasant staff. So tasty. So fresh, and a wide variety of dependable and delectable choices.

Great breakfast! We went before 9am on a Saturday, there was a short line before us. We were served very fast and food was amazing! Coffee was good. Service was efficient. I had the Garden Omelette and my husband the Florentine Benedict. The sourdough bread with butter and their home made strawberry jam was delicious!

Pleasant and helpful staff. Fast service. Food was fine but not outstanding. We stay near it at excellent Hotel Beresford Arms, so it was an easy choice.

Even though this is a Thai restaurant they open for breakfast and lunch. In the morning and at lunchtime they serve American food. We went there twice for breakfast, it was delicious and the service was great The restaurant is very pretty even the outdoor seating is nice.

Had dinner here on our first night in San Francisco and everything we had was absolutely delicious. In particular, those of us who ordered a shrimp dish thought they were really fresh and tasty. The fried rice was very yummy and had just the right amount of heat. Service was also excellent and our waiter was really helpful in making recommendations. If you like what’s on their menu, go and you will have a great meal.

Now. Maybe it’s San Fran. But I really hate places that don’t have Wi-fi. When I’m on holiday 4G costs me the price of a meal. Please provide Wi-fi I want to stay connected with home and life and can’t in your company. On to food and service. Food was great. Seriously good stuff. I had the steak and eggs breakfast. Great. Service was ok. 6/10. I might go back as the food was good but it would be a no brainer with Wi-fi and better service.

Walked from Mission hotel to this nice brunch place with daughters and son-in-law. Had a very tasty avocado based French toast breakfast. Lots of young folks on a Friday morning. Seated near window; should have dropped shade some more.

We stopped here on our last night of a 3 week Road trip across the States. I can honestly say it was the best meal we had while away. The food was so tasty and they check how spicy you want it before cooking. Would definitely recommend!

Eggs Benedict is a must! Excellent food! There was a little wait but it was well worth it. Compared to other restaurants the money was well spent.

Very good and hearty. Vegetarian or not everyone found dish to their liking;) I recommend. Good value for money. Don’t trust the cold look of the place

Wow. What a find. This gorgeous little restaurant is brilliant on a number of levels. We visited for breakfast and it was so good that we returned for dinner. On both occasions the food was superb (and reasonably priced) and the service fantastic. Faultless in fact. The only comment I would make is that it could be more atmospheric in the evening. That said, I would highly recommend Lapisara for breakfast and dinner.

Stumbled upon Lapisara Eatery while walking to another breakfast establishment and we were very pleased with this decision. Our table had the Smoked Salmon Toast and the Perfect Pancakes. The Smoked Salmon was very good on top of even better sourdough bread. The Perfect Pancakes were pretty darned close to perfect, I recommend trying them with chocolate chips.

The best Thai food I ate outside Thailand. Not expensive but delicious and very nice staff. Very authentic. Don’t miss it.

Maybe is not the best food in town, but this place is exactly what we were looking for. When travelling we don't love to seat in reastaurants and stayng for a long lunch. This is fast, with kind staff, honest prices and a very good food quality

Amazing place for brunch. A must go to place. Worth the short queue. Such attention to detail. 😃 Would definitely be back

I came twice. One for dinner and the other during the Happy Hour period. The bites served in the Happy Hour were perfect, delicious. Good presentation and excellent taste. Best Thai food I have tried! The attendance was also very polite!

Great location , great service and tasty food. We shared a Pok Pok salad and Mussamun Curry. All the two of us could eat. Perfectly wonderful and tasty. Can’t wait to try the breakfast; chicken and waffles. This place is yummy.

Such a nice atmosphere. Very chill. Excellent healthy delicious food. We had breakfast, salmon toast, avocado toast, eggs and bacon plates. Gluten free options were clearly mentioned, incl. GF toast. Normal portion sizes.

At first I was disappointed that the brunch items are not available all day, but the Thai menu more than made up for it. My shrimp pad Thai was the best I ever had. Super flavorful and perfect texture. Would definitely come regularly if I lived here.

Very good for breakfast! Delicious and good service. We went there 3 mornings in a row, because it was simply good.

Went for brunch, it was VERY good! We went on a weekday right as they opened. We were seated immediately. Service staff was very friendly and on top of everything. The place was really clean. The food was delicious. Just wish I had enough room to eat an order of the fried chicken Benedict that was delivered to another table. Will be back if we are ever through SF again!

My family enjoyed an excellent brunch here recently. There are great healthy food choices to choose from with many house specialties. We were fortunate to dine on a weekday and were surprised at a full house at 10:00am. That speaks volumes for the food prepared and the popularity with customers. The staff was wonderful and attentive even though they were quite busy. This is a definite place to return to again.

Following Tripadvisor suggestions we walked to this restaurant and was not disappointed, do not be put off by the exterior, or interior, the food is great and the drinks selection is as good as you will find Absolutely great value top class food

Fantastic brunch spot. 7:30 am opening time def helps when you’re staying on east coast time. Best chicken and waffles I’ve had in a long time

Great place, quality food. Highly recommended The homemade strawberry jam is excellent, Benedict eggs are delish

We had our first breakfast in town at Lapisara and were lucky enough to walk up and get a table late on a Saturday morning—shortly after being seated, there was a small crowd outside, and while walking past the place on subsequent mornings, we noticed a consistent line outside. The food was enticing, and we settled on a meat-lovers omelette, fried chicken Benedict, and the Lapisara platter of eggs, potatoes, and the Queen B bacon, which turned out to be bacon cooked in BBQ sauce. Juice and tea was ordered all around for drinks. Our food was great—the bacon had a nice spicy tang to it, and the tastes I had of my family’s dishes were delicious. Our teenager couldn’t finish her omelette, there was plenty of food on the plates, includes sides of sourdough toast which was great with the homemade jam provided at the table. The only drawback of our meal was the long wait between ordering our food (which occurred promptly) and receiving it, but that was not too surprising given the crowd: the place was at capacity for the entirety of our visit, and there was a line outside when we left.

Lovely and bright restaurant with a casual feel. Wonderful twist on Americanized Thai. The drunken noodles were absolutely delicious!

Amazing breakfast (massive!) with perfectly cooked poached eggs. The service was great and the lovely owner came to chat with us afterward. Had a lovely local family feel to the place. Really good find in SF for all sorts of meals ... the menu looks fantastic. Definitely worth a visit.

Very chill setting, simple and efficient Welcoming and tasty Thai cuisine, all for a very good Price quality ratio! We came twice during our 3 night stay in San Francisco.

Went here with my "foodie" girlfriend who's lived nearby for some time. And as I'm in the city often, she suggested this new restaurant that I've not tried within walking distance. The food and service was just great! She had one of her favorites, the Chicken Waffle and I had the Fish & Chips and we both were not disappointed. It's not a large place, but cozy.
Breakfast was delicious
Visited here for breakfast and it was delicious. The pancakes melted in my mouth an my boyfriend loved his breakfast as his pouches eggs were cooked to perfection. The only negative was leaving the door open as there was a chill but can’t fault the food.
