Excellent service and food!

By bornforadventure |

Quick stop and close enough to walk to the Space Needle if you want. Went at 6:30 on Friday...called ahead for seating to accommodate 7. They were ready and waiting when we arrived. The food was delicious and plentiful and we did not have to wait long on it. Salads are incredibly fresh! We splurged and had dessert but it was so big we had to share!

Delicious Mexican Food

By Trav4Work |

Sampled the food here on a random night out. Food had great flavor - but be forewarned, they do know how to properly add heat to food, so make sure to ask if you are sensitive to spice. If you, like me, enjoy good spice to your Mexican dish, this place knows how to do it well. Enchiladas, and tacos are great as is their salsa.

Simply Delicious

By P M |

So glad I dropped in to this tex mex establishment. Reminded me of home. By far one of the best if not the best mexican restaurant in Seattle. The food has just the perfect seasoning and heat to make every dish served us amazing. Combine this with an outstanding bar selection from beer to cocktails you should not be disappointed. Friendly employees provide the perfect level of attention to compliment the delicious food and beverage. Will definitely be back soon.

Good food great atmosphere

By Dave F |

This is a busy local restaurant that offers quality Tex-Mex food within easy walking distance of the 4 Points by Sheraton Downtown Seattle - Roy street. The food was great, service was good and prices were good. Nice place for a Tex Mex meal

Good Mexican

By Michael B |

Visited at 6:00PM on a Monday and they were busy. Fresh chips and two types of salsa. Steak enchiladas where served hot with great add ons. Great flavor. My wife's special tacos were also hot and full of meat. Good service and lots of TV's for sports. We sat in a booth as it can be noise. Good spot!

Great Mexican restaurant

By Robert S |

This place is great, especially for happy hour. Vanessa and Morgan were great servers. The food and service was impeccable.

Bueno

By Tyler L |

Good, quality Mexican food with great variety and tasty options. It may be hard to read the menu in the cave like setting, bit the Christmas lights will help a bit. Food is a bit pricey for Mexican but cheap for Seattle. Plates are huge. Nice big menu and very tasty tacos. Staff was surly but quick.

Great Service for our Large Group

By Vala R |

We ate here late one evening after being at the Seattle Center. The staff was super nice and helpful. They accommodated our large group, fed us in a timely manner and helped us figure out the bus system to return to our hostel. The food was fine for the price - good ole' Tex Mex. I'm from California, so I get to eat mexican food a lot.

Such good food and love the Avocado margaritas

By casadefamilia |

Just good, consistent mexican food and atmosphere is casual. Very busy most of the time and the avocado margaritas are the bomb.

Homemade corn tortillas!!!! Delicious!

By asusundevil1031 |

The barbacoa beef tacos and the shrimp tacos were amazing. Service was attentive and friendly. When we arrived for our 6pm reservation, the restaurant was only half full. But, by the time we left, 7:30pm, it was packed and there was a wait. Opentable reservations highly recommended. The only criticism I'd give the chef, (not too big of a deal) is that the rice was somewhat bland and a little dry. The tacos made up for it, though!! 😊

Great food and atmosphere

By Tracy B |

Highly recommend - great happy hour food and drink deals daily between 4-6pm. Family friendly, attentive service also. Food was seriously good and generous sizes.

They nailed the Spanish rice!

By Lifeaquatic76 |

Good good good! Food, service, ambience. Definitely coming back. Spanish rice was as the title proclaims. Even the Refried beans were different. Main dish was great too (steak delux).

Great albondigas soup!

By Darlene A |

This restaurant was near our hotel (though a walk UP the hill), but we were glad to make the trek. The albondigas soup was tasty and hot, and the chili relleno a different, spicy take on this usual Mexican dish. Try the avocado Margarita! Service was acceptable and friendly.

My Favorite Weeknight TexMex

By seatowngetawaygirl |

Laredos is a sweet spot if you LOVE TexMex. Their queso is fab! Their Margaritas rock! The place gets super busy on the weekends (evenings and football days). But the servers are almost always friendly and easy-going. Bar seating is super casual and the bartenders take great care of you. The menu doesn't change too often, but it's expansive enough to keep you interested if you like to have something different each visit. For myself, I have my regulars, and they're all good. Nice outdoor seating, too, for the summer people watching.

Surprising find in Seattle!

By arzcasey |

Ok, so I am a bit of a Mexican food snob being from Tucson and all, but this little bar & grill tucked in a residential type area of Seattle was outstanding! I didn't expect much again, being spoiled by the Tucson Sonora food, this place delivered. I have waited too long to write the review since we visited on the 4th of July and so don't recall our orders. What I do recall is great, hot, fresh, and creative Mexican food. The location is, well, a bar & grill and it was the 4th of July, so it was quite loud, but well worth it. We all loved our meals and will go back when visiting the area.

waiter forgot to put our order in!

By mark t tracey |

I new we were going on a cruise and would be eating plenty of seafood so we came here the night before for some mexican food. they advertised a margarita pitcher to go i asked the waiter about it and he ran back and forth to the bartender and forgot to put our food order in. After about 30 minutes my wife asked hwere the food was he was honest and said he forgot we were starving. when we did get it i i would have eaten a card board box, we were so fed up we told them to forget the margaritas to go and the manager did comp one of our meals oh yeah the first round of chips were old and oily i woudln't go back

Average from top to bottom

By ajwsf |

This is an "ok" option for a tex mex meal, but nothing special. The wait staff is friendly and efficient, and is probably the best aspect of the overall experience. The drinks selection covers a wide variety of "novelty" margaritas...including avocado (!), sangria, shanty, etc. They also offer frozen margaritas. All those kitschy elements tell you exactly what kind of experience you will have here. Luckily, there is a wide variety of Mexican beer as well, which is a far better bet. The food covers the standard bases, and merged into a brown sameness of spicing, color and texture that left me quite disappointed. Dishes also emerged from the kitchen with a terrifying swiftness...less than 10 minutes on a fairly busy night...which led me to conclude that there was not a lot of fresh food prep happening. Overall, this is just an average restaurant that shouldn't really be a destination when you have so many other options in Seattle.

Great food and family friendly

By Max W |

We stumbled upon this restaurant to our delight. We are used to great Mexican and Tex Mex food at home and we were not disappointed on our last night of vacation. The chips and salsa were great, the tacos were excellent - flavor and freshness, and the waitress went out of her way to be friendly and make our kids feel welcomed. We even had this wonderful sopapilla desert. It was a great experience.

Try their Margaritas

By Aaron D |

Really fun place to grab some food and a drink or 2. Their well tequila is Jimador (awesome). They also have a frozen Margarita machine for those that like their's in slushy form. I had a Cadillac Margarita (or 2) that was dangerously smooth, very good. Others in the group had a avocado Margarita and a spicy jalapeño. I wasn't super hungry but decided to order some chicken quesadillas, and some chips with queso. Wow were they good! Definitely going back to try more food on the menu. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from the bartender. Definitely recommend this place.

Solid Tex Mex Cuisine - Really Nice Service

By TSinParis |

I had a nice dinner here last night. Fish soft tacos were really good. Beans and rice OK. Veggies (zucchini) kind of greasy. I ordered a house Martguerita - I don't think there was very much tequila in the - but lots of ice cubes. Probably better off with a shot and beer! So the food was fine. The service, however, was top notch. Cheerful, efficient but not overbearing - perfect (my server was Alicia - so thanks Alicia for a great job!). Also close to the Hampton Inn if you are staying there.

Good food and service

By Stephanie G |

Fun restaurant, not super noisy able to chat without any problems. Spouse had black bean and roasted corn enchiladas which were good. Daughter had shrimp tacos very good. I had the mariachi burrito with chicken also very good. Had the sopapilla for dessert were good but nothing special. Service was excellent. Comfortable dinner, did not have reservations, but was there on a Tuesday around 6, no problems being seated. Recommend.

Great find

By mrpizza44 |

This establishment was a excellent find, great atmosphere and food! All of our dishes were delightful. Anything with the pork pastor is lights out! The drink offerings were both highly varied and unique. Highly recommended.

Conveniently located!

By Julie |

We walked from our hotel, so that was convenient. The food was okay, we are used to Mexican food and I guess this is Tex-Mex so it wasn't what we expected. Had to ask for chips and salsa they are not complimentary. The tacos were good. The service was acceptable. The house margarita was lackluster.

Try the carne asada

By Ken H |

Fun tex max spot not to far from Seattle Center. I really enjoyed the Carne Asada, my wife had one of the taco plates. Good chips and salsa.

Fun and yummy

By DebMey11 |

The Texas Mule was awesome! And we all seemed to order dishes with brisket - so yummy! Fun atmosphere and yummy. Parking is tight.

great service

By volleymom58 |

We had a few hours to kill before a Key arena event, wandered into Laredos. Great service at the bar, good apps. As the DD, i like a quality NA beer occasionally. They serve my fav, Bucklers, and had fresh coffee available. Fun place, comfortable. I agree with another reviewer that it was too dark to read the menus. Thank goodness for flashlight apps. Food was plentiful and good. I definately plan to go back.

Decent Mexican food, great service.

By budmancjm |

The food was OK, nothing special, the service was excellent. Price was reasonable. Tables are small, high, and uncomfortable.

A Great Mexican Food Find

By redhead_roaming |

Laredos was a favorite of some friends of ours when they lived in Lower Queen Anne. Whenever they came back to Seattle, they would always insist upon having a get-together here. The food was always spot-on (it's hard to find any Mexican food in Seattle, much less GOOD Mexican food) and the service always surprisingly very good, despite us always showing up in large groups and milling about.

Good food, warm welcome

By Havefunwilltravel816 |

"Good food, warm welcome" This place was recommended by my neighbors, and I was very grateful for the advice. My regular Tex-Mex eatery went out of business, and I have been hunting seriously for a replacement. In fact, this is the third Mexican lunch I have had in five days! So used to my ex’s menu am I that, in this different locale, I again made the mistake of ordering a burrito – but Natalia, one of the two very friendly waitresses, kindly brought me a plate so I could open it up and eat with a knife and fork. I was advised to order an enchilada next time. The food was very good. The pork was not shredded, rather almost like pot roasted pork in preparation – in chunks, with delicious marbling. And there was a nice portion of pickled vegetables. The price was very kind on the pocketbook. The ambience was very copacetic. It was spacious, and made more so by the large windows. The fittings and furnishings were varied, colorful and stimulating. If that were not enough there were several unobtrusive television sets to view. The staff were professional and courteous. I felt I was welcome here, and will definitely return and enjoy their meals frequently.

Delivery by Postmates yummy food

By Kelley M |

Steak and chicken quesadillas. We are from Texas- I’ve never had a quesadilla like these. Very large full of meat and cheese. Carne Asada was my favorite. The smoke chicken was spicy. Chips were tasty as well. We were at the hotel, and ordered delivery via postmates. It was very quick and we highly recommend!

Mediocre

By Jacob1993 |

Food is average, but too spicy, salty, greasy. Service depends on waitress you're dealing with. We asked about non-spicy salads and got assurance from her that they're not spicy. After we added beef to it for extra. But salad turned to be spicy, so we didn't even finished it. Waitress was obviously irritated and unapologetic when she was asked about it

Nice Location, Over-Spiced Food, Good Service

By PugetTom |

Lower Queen Ann is a very nice part of Seattle. We were at Laredos Grill on 4th of July, and they were very busy. It was our first visit and we probably won't return. They were under-staffed both in the kitchen and wait-staff. But, the food is the problem: It is over-spiced. We were not offered an alternative. From the first bite we knew something was wrong. The staff did their best and were polite and friendly. Next time we will go to the Crow, which is just a block away.

Great Saturday Night

By Tim H |

We happened upon Laredo's completely by accident. We were trying to find a pizza or burger joint and nothing appealed to us. On our walk back to our hotel we ventured down Aloha and came across a great looking little restaurant that was packed full of people. We took a quick look at the menu, agreed it looked and wandered in. Laredo's was packed. The energy was high, the smells were intoxicating and there was a spot for two. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and talked us into a local beer and a sangria. We had street tacos and fajitas. Perfectly spiced, perfectly presented. Great dinner, great atmosphere.

Mexican Grill in Seattle

By PeteN |

We were hungry for Mexican style food and decided to go to Laredo’s Grill for dinner. It had a good rating on trip advisor and it was fantastic. The food was very tasty, it arrived hot and the service was friendly and very efficient. We had a couple of drinks since we were in walking distance of our hotel. They too were reasonably priced and very well made. Laredo’s Grill is well worth your time if your interested in Excellent Mexican style food, good service and a great dinner.

Laredos

By ray t |

Awesome food and excellent selection of margaritas. The house margarita is great. Wait staff very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is casual and whimsical. Pricing is great for what you get. We had the pork tacos, and combo plate with tacos and enchilada. Generous serving. We ate all of it.....was so good! They accept major credit cards too. If you're in town or a local, I highly recommend it. We were able to walk from our hotel. Thank you Laredo! Keep up the great work.

Tasty tacos

By Nesky45 |

Very nice neighborhood restaurant and bar. Has some outdoor seating. I had the tacos and they were very good. Wife had avocado tostada, she thought it was very good. Only thing I would grade them down on was the margarita. Not much tequila in it. Will order a beer next time. Went a second time last week. I had the chili rellano. It was fantastic. Different with any one I have had before.

Family friendly service, good quality Mexican

By GaynorJUK |

We had a one night Seattle stop-over and wanted an easy tasty dinner. We've got three kids in the 9-11 range who are not fussy, but are quite reserved in their food choices. Laredo's proved an excellent choice - spicy for us, moderate for them, served by a brilliantly attentive hostess. Great Margaritas, including a strawberry virgin one for the kids. They got to experience a proper American Bar atmosphere (Seahawks game on the TV), eat authentic Mexican food and be treated like royalty. We got to eat delicious burritos in a bar, with our kids in tow. Great local feel, generous but not ridiculous portions, really tasty chicken, brisket and pulled pork options.

Good food, close to hotel.

By Lisa O |

Laredos Grill was within walking distance from our hotel so we gave it a try. The ambiance was good, the food was terrific and our server was super friendly. I recommend the fish tacos. They were delicious and filling.

Tasty, fun

By maria r |

Good happy hour. Cool location on lower, east queen Anne. My cool friends go there after work. Good queso dip. Yummy margarits's

Favorite Local for TexMex and Football!

By seatowngetawaygirl |

Laredo's is an Uptown (Lower Queen Anne) neighborhood spot that offers a great range of Tex-Mex food, fun happy hours, Margarita Mondays ($5 people - and they're NOT watery) and a pretty hopping night life, too. The menu is wide-ranging and tasty, and the prices are super friendly). Weekend nights can get busy, so make reservations if you can, but the bar is always a great place to watch the game and spend a Saturday or Sunday late afternoon with good food and a good group of people. Service can sometimes be a little slow if they're uber busy, but it's always worth it.

Wonderful Tex Mex

By Norm V |

Had a great evening at Laredos. It was walking distance from our hotel(Hampton Inn and Suites) and worth the short walk in the rain. Great atmosphere and very tasty food. Highly recommended

Awesome Tex-Mex

By staradew |

Since we were staying very close by, our hotel suggested this restaurant and I am so glad they did! The restaurant was within walking distance of the hotel, the beer margarita's were just great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very cool! Will be visiting Seattle again in the next couple weeks and can't wait to come back to this little gem of a restaurant!

Yumm

By Michele M |

We love Mexican food and this place was so good we went there 2x on our 3 day trip! The Vegetarian burrito is amazing . The guacamole is huge. The margaritas are delish-e-o-so!

Great Tex-Mex Food in Neighborhood Bar and Grill

By John C |

The reason you'd go to Laredos is the food. It's a casual neighborhood Tex-Mex bar and very casual. The food was excellent. My wife had the Fajita Quesadillas and loved them. I had the Smoked Brisket Enchilada. The beef was incredibly tender and tasty. If you like Margaritas, get the "hand-made" one. Much better than the standard call version.

Best Ever

By Lou R |

We stopped in for dinner and very happy we did. The Marachi burrito stuffed with carne asada was the best we ever tasted. Service was very good and interior was great.

First time GREAT, second time TERRIBLE

By Katie C |

My friends & I stayed near by & our flight got in late the first night (about 11pm), so we went here for beers just to unwind. The service was great, they have awesome craft beers on tap & the atmosphere is low key. We had chips & salsa & they were delicious. We went back the following night, much later. We were all starving after the bar, so we ordered food this time. The fish tacos and queso dip were delicious. I would definitely give their food a top rating. However, the service this time was terrible. We got seated at 1:30am & the waitress literally threw the menus down at us & said hurry up & put your order in the kitchen is about to close. We didn't even open the menus we just all ordered tacos & queso dip/chips. Under 10 minutes later our food came out from the chef. We apologized to him for coming in so late, because I do understand they are tired, its the end of the night & the last thing I want to do is whip up food right before closing. The chef was confused & stated the kitchen was still open for 20 more minutes, no big deal. So we ordered, ate, paid & left before the kitchen even closed. Hopefully she was just having an off night. I would still try this place again, the food was worth it.

Wonderful meal

By Scoobylover88 |

Great restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. My husband loved the steak tacos. (We went back for a second meal.) The cabbage salsa was amazing!!! Fish tacos were great as well. Décor was very cool. I would eat here again in a heartbeat.

Yum Yum Yum!!!!

By WorldD_TRaveler789 |

My husband and I love this restaurant. We only wish we would have gone there sooner. We have gone multiple times to this establishment and it remains one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever gone too. There are a few TV's if you want to watch the big game. Chips / salsa are extra, but I highly recommend getting them. If the salsa would last longer, I would buy some to go. Everything is fresh and the staff is friendly. Make reservations if you are going on a Saturday or a game day. You won't be disappointed.

What a wonderful place

By Loves2TravelALOT_11 |

We ate brunch here on a Sunday. So many good options for breakfast or lunch. Two of us had the breakfast tacos which were excellent. One had the tacos on the regular menu, another had the breakfast fajitas with steak. The steak on the fajitas was better than that which we had at Palisade. It was great. James, the bartender, was very attentive and ensured or table was getting good service the entire time. What a great neighborhood place. This is a ' Cheers' type place for locals. Loved the vibe.

Hidden gem near the Space Needle

By Erik S |

Here is a real find. Located in a quiet part of Queen Anne, this is a cozy, dark wood decorated Mexican restaurant. There is a separate bar area. The menu is extensive, featuring all the regular tacos, enchiladas, etc. typical of the cuisine as well as a variety of unusual variations. The carne asada fries appetizer is wonderful as are the regular nachos. The Habañero shrimp was spicy and flavorful as well. Side veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly. They also carry Mexican Coke, a soda of perfection to many, and hard to find. Prices were decent, and portions quite generous. Service was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for high quality Mexican food within walking distance of the Space Needle, this is the place! Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed

By 106maurenm |

This TexMex restaurant was in walking distance to the hotel we were at. The food was very good, more than ample portions, fast service, and good pricing. If you are staying at the Hampton Inn downtown this is a close option for dinner. Nice beer selections.

Best guacamole I've ever had!

By Carolyn M |

This was on a list of local restaurants provided by our hotel. Very busy, which is always a good sign, quite noisy, but we soon got used to it. Service very good & the lady who looked after us was very knowledgeable about the menu, suggesting a milder sauce than the one I originally was going for - just as well, because the milder one was still a tad spicy for me! - & she was very thoughtful, serving it on the side, which was a nice touch. Food was delicious, & as for the guacamole (I'm a bit of an expert, I like to think), the title of my review says it all!

Nice little restaurant

By impalaboy59 |

Nice little neighbor restaurant near the Seattle Center. The food was great, as was the service. We sat at the table by the window which had its own "firepit" in the center of the table. Great atmosphere in a fun place to have lunch.

FOOD WAS GOOD - I THINK

By CaliforniaCarol64 |

Don't let my title fool you - the food was good but we were meeting a friend of my son's for lunch and our reunion lunch was great with non-stop talking...so the food was really a side line for us. We were two Italian women talking and talking and talking...and loved every minute.

Good food but too noisy

By SunnyDee845 |

Went here with some friends when visiting Seattle. The food was very good. I had deluxe carnival enchiladas. Delicious and fresh! One friend had fajitas which they enjoyed. The other was not as impressed with the Panchos. Drinks were good. Watch out for the mirror ball!!! It fell off the ceiling when we were there!! The atmosphere is noisy local joint. Sports playing on several tvs. Could have done without that. Would have preferred a little more quiet which is why I gave a 4 instead of a 5. I would still recommend because the food was decent

Blackened Fish Tacos!

By John N |

If you are looking for an authentic Mexican place with classic (not American-style), this is your place. I highly recommend the scratch Margarita as well.

Great food, great value

By NLTraveller52 |

This is a little hidden gem in a residential area on Queen Anne. It was just a few blocks(walking distance) from hotel we stayed at. The food was very good and very plentiful. The prices were excellent. They have Happy Hour with discount on some food items. They only down side, their website states $4.00 margaritas for Happy Hour. However, they told us they do not have the $4.00 margaritas there. We liked the place and would definitely go back.

Very good Mexican food in a bad Mexican food town

By Steve |

Having grown up in California, it was a shock to come to Seattle more than 20 years ago and find that the Mexican food here really wasn't Mexican food. Every once in a while, I'd find a restaurant that did one particular unusual dish well (like the Chile Pepper and their Mole, or the Borrego at Azteca), but for the most part it was a wasteland. Laredos is very good, and while not quite *muy atentico*, it's pretty close. The Carnitas are amazing, there's lot of very well thought-out vegetarian dishes, and it's a fun place to eat. Their Mole is quite good, too. If you order the enchiladas, get them "deluxe." Their rotating taps are usually pretty good, too.

Good food and convenient

By ald3114 |

We ate here after walking to the space needle. Service was prompt. It was 6 of us served. The chips and salsa were great. Two of use had margheritas (avocado and mango). They were tasty. The smoked brisket was good as well. Great atmosphere to watch March Madness. Parking was challenging.

Good Tex Mex.

By William P |

We found the food there to be tasty and plentiful. My wife and I share tacos and my daughter had nachos. More than enough food for three people. The servers were pleasant and helpful.

Decent Mexican Food

By berniece2000 |

We had a good Tex-Mex meal here - me the three tacos, Hubs a crab enchilada. Mine (barbacoa) were just okay, a bit chewy and not so much as a hot sauce served with it, so kinda bland, though hubs said the enchilada was very very good. They have the 3 tacos on the appetizer menu, then on the dinner menu for like $6 more (for a bit of bean and rice) - I'd suggest the appetizer as the full meal seemed a bit expensive for what it was. We each had a margarita (again, decent), and would have liked more but the server, a friendly woman, seemed too busy to come back. I probably wouldn't recommend this place based on my one experience, but I also wouldn't say to avoid it, and maybe at another time the service would be better & some condiments offered up.

Great Tex-Mex

By jpcrvr |

We have eaten here numerous times but had not been for almost a year. As usual it is a really good Tex-Mex for up here. Always busy and the bar too. Plenty of TV's on to watch games. Has outdoor seating in nice weather.

Latedos Grill

By rhonda |

Only stopped in for appetizers and drinks before a show at the Immersive Theatre. Good service. Food was good. Nice neighborhood type of place.

Strike out

By Sean H |

I eat here once each trip while in Seattle because it's close to the hotel. It's usually just OK but today marks my last meal here. Mole sauce tasted burnt, service was even slower than before even at the bar. The iced tea tasted wrong too. Just not a place I want to go.

Very fresh ingredients!

By Trippe73 |

I recently went here with my family on vacation and I loved it. The staff is very friendly and families are welcome. I had the strawberry lemonade and it tasted like they had just handmade it! Also all of their salsas are fresh made and very good. Finally the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is cozy. A great place to eat, don't miss it.

Cozy

By Betsy S |

I'm from out of town staying at The Hampton Inn and Suites about two blocks from Laredos so it was very convenient and nice not to have to drive since they have an awesome tequila selection. Since I'm solo, I sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks. The bartenders were friendly and provided really good service. The tacos I ordered were delicious. I will be a repeat customer since it was such a mellow, friendly atmosphere and the perfect place to unwind after a day of work.

Fantastic

By PixJoel |

Happening Mexican restaurants with fantastic tasting food, quick service, and an exceptional atmosphere. Felt like you are really in Mexico with an authentic decor, yet with high American standards. I'd love to go back there again someday.

Great Mexican Cuisine!

By westvanclan |

We chose this out-of-the-way restaurant after reading reviews, and we were not disappointed. Delicious Mexican cuisine at reasonable prices.

First visit was delicious, second visit was dissapointed

By Pam W |

The first time we went to Laredos we had dreams of going back it was so good! The second trip was a disappointment, dry chili topping on enchiladas and greasy chips.....I figured it was just a bad night for the restaurant so a few nights later I ordered takeout to be delivered by "Bite Squad" a delivery service in Seattle. Had issues with ordering and had to contact the company but it gets worse....I was really disappointed to see the dinky containers of salsa with the big bag of chips....my food was lukewarm, cheese was congealed in my stuffed pepper....definitely not worth 30.00 for one meal with delivery charge/tip on top.

Great Guac and good service

By Pam L |

The atmosphere here is lively without being overpowering. Sports on TV, plenty of room for big parties, and a bar with a good number of seats. Bartenders are friendly and the guacamole is excellent. Breakfasts are good, too, but it's weekends only and they don't open until 10am.

Loved, Loved, Loved the Food!

By HoneyBubbas |

We were in town; and this restaurant was in walking distance from our hotel. We were so pleased! If we had stayed longer, we would have eaten here again. We do not have a good Mexican restaurant where we live, so we were so excited to try this. We were not disappointed. So glad I made reservations, as they are busy! Made reservation for 6:30, showed-up, very crowded, got right in! It is a small, neighborhood type of restaurant, and loud and busy, but we loved it! We missed Happy Hour, but got drinks anyway. There were so many items on the menu, and it was hard to choose. We got our meals, and we couldn't stop eating, it was so good! We will definitely come back if we get to Seattle again! Only issue for us was we are used to getting chips and salsa for free, but we had to pay for these. The salsa was delicious! And the Sopapilla's dessert was really, really yummy!

Tasty Mexican and Fun Atmposphere

By DaveELyons |

Austin took great care of us. The guacamole and beef fajitas were excellent. Tasted the brisket and was not like what we have in Texas. Avocado margarita was super refreshing!

Excellent Food & Drinks

By Luke M |

Called in on my first night in Seattle for an early dinner, went straight for the mains being Carnitas Deluxe Enchiladas for me & Tacos Al Pastor plate for my colleague. Both dishes served up quick & hot with fantastic fresh flavours not to mention the generous portions.Washed down with House Margaritas on the rocks, they were strong & very refreshing after long day of traveling, so good we had to have another round of those margaritas! Finished off sharing the Churros with ice cream-huge serving. Fantastic staff & service, great decor & a cool crowd/vibe we came back on our last night in town to do it all again. Highly recommend to anyone after good TexMex. Muchos Gracias!

Awesome

By reeltxn |

My Mother's Day lunch, in Seattle, watching my Spurs. Delivery was on time, the food was hot and our delivery guy was very professional. Everything is delicious and I can't pick a favorite between queso, fish tacos, truck stop enchiladas, chicken enchiladas and all the sides. Now....GO SPURS GO!

Scrumptious Tex Mex!

By suzy |

Last week my husband and I discovered a tasty gem on the corner of an everyday neighborhood. Laredos Grill could easily be one of the best TexMex restaurants in the country. And, in all places, Seattle! Don't miss the cheese enchiladas topped with brisket chili. The menu is varied and the prices are reasonable. This place does not scrimp on quality or portions. Enjoy!

We were staying at a nearby hotel and this restaurant came highly recommended by the hotel staff. We were fortunate that it was within walking distance from our hotel and the front desk had coupons too. We arrived and even though they were busy, we were quickly seated. The service was fast and drinks brought to us in a short time. The chips and salsa were not complimentary BUT they were most definitely worth the cost. The meals were delicious and very large in portions.

Great tex mex food!!

Great little place not far from the space needle. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing!! I don't think anyone in our party was unhappy with anything they had.

TexMex worth the trek

By MG2002 |

While in Seattle with my sister to attend the Northwest Flower and Garden Show, we took the monorail from downtown and walked several blocks from the Seattle Center just to eat at Laredos Grill. My sister's daughter said it was the best TexMex in town, so we had to give it a try. She was not wrong...the food was fabulous. It is tucked into a residential area of the Lower Queen Anne district, so a tourist probably would not accidentally find it. But the trek to Laredos was definitely worth it. I had the vegetarian Mariachi Burrito, which was delicious. I tasted my sister's meal with grilled chicken, and it was also delicious. The salsa served on the side was very flavorful and not too spicy. On my next trip (yes, I will definitely hit Laredo's when my husband and I visit Seattle) I will try the taco plate with grilled chicken. A big thanks to my niece for turning us on to this gem.

Flavorful, smoky, unique... neighborhood "grill"

By Jef I |

Not your typical Mexican restaurant. You smell the smoky charred flavor as soon as you walk in the door. Fresh, great flavors, good-sized portions, and fun/loud environment. Outdoor seating available.

Great Tex-Mex!

By Scott326 |

The bartender at the Four Points Sheraton recommended this restaurant to my wife and I while visiting Seattle for a few days. We went on Monday night, May 19 and there was a nice weekday night crowd...but we were seated immediately. It was just what we wanted...a neighborhood restaurant within walking distance, great food, good portions/value and a casual atmosphere! Our server was very pleasant and drinks were good as well. When in the Seattle Center area...I most definitely endorse Laredos!

worth the walk

By skipnichols |

My wife are self-avowed Mexican food afficianados -- and Laredo did not disappoint. We were staying nearby and needed some good south of the border fare. Laredos filled the bill. She had the truck stop enchiladas and was surprised (because of the name) at how good it was. I opted for my standard -- Tacos al Carbon with the strip steak. The steak was a bit tough but tasty nonetheless. The rest of the plate was piled with delicious rice, beans, avocado, sour cream, pico de gallo and spanish corn. Let's say it was definitely worth the walk.

The Queen Anne neighborhood is sweet, this restaurant is not.

By traveltheworld012 |

I really, really like the Queen Anne area. Beautiful views, nice single family homes, and an intriguing variety of shops and restaurants. Laredos Grill was a recommended place to go. It is located on a quiet semi-residential street. If you drive there, a parking spot can be difficult to find. The ambiance is nice enough and it seems to be frequented by locals quite a bit. We took a booth way in the back because it was pretty noisy at or near the bar. I ordered the Vista Del Mar, which was Alaskan Whitefish and Shrimp in a red sauce with the usual refried beans and rice. With most Mexican style restaurants you are served free chips and salsa...NOT HERE, and this is a negative, because we usually enjoy this with our drinks while waiting for our food order. This brings me to the drinks; the Margaritas were very weak (was there even ANY tequila in it?) and served in ordinary plastic water glasses. My entrée was average and just okay. I rate this fairly low because of slow and not very attentive service and the other negatives mentioned above.

Yummy Mexican Experience

By Lellewel |

Laredos is a little off the main centre, but well worth the trip. It's a cosy but vibrant place, lots of atmosphere. The menu is varied and yummy. Being vegetarian there were lots of option for us, but they were willing to adapt any meat options too. The nachos were lovely and huge! Had a Burrito for main and it was one of the best I've ever had, and value for money! This place really is a little find, saw it mentioned in a Seattle magazine in the hotel and decided to give it a go! Staff were great too, even calling us a cab for us to get back :) You should definately go here!

Nothing special

By Summerfield |

Had a jalapeño margarita. Honestly tasted like cardboard really disappointing. The chicken fajitas were avg at best. Heavy red bell peppers and no other veggies in the mix other than a few onions.

Glad we made the trip!!

By Peter H |

We ventured out of the touristy areas to find a tex-mex restaurant and were not disappointed by Laredos Grill. Good food at reasonable prices. Salsa and queso were tasty. Truckstop enchiladas where filling and full of flavour. I liked the frozen margaritas as well and would have bought more but the there was a power outage in the street. :( Get a cab from downtown and go visit. It's worth it!!

Keeps getting better

By Pam L |

Visited here with a friend from out of town on a Thursday night. There were enough people there to make it feel lively and there was room for us to be seated immediately. The Carne Asada was as good as promised, And the famed carnitas made of pork were delicious. There we're a lot of people watching football on the plentiful screens which added to the fun.

Great restaurant!

By Lynne O |

We visited Laredos on a trip to Seattle and were very impressed. Great food (carne asadas, mesquite chicken quesadillas) and great service, thanks guys!

Great place!!

By FolsomDude01 |

I travel a lot and Seattle is one of my stops. I stay in the Queen Anne area mostly for the restaurants and Laredo is on the top of my list. They have fantastic food (Carnitas rock), serve food late and the staff is fun and friendly. I think I have eaten their 3 times in the last week and cant wait to go again.

Go Local!!

By BergenTravel |

Visited for lunch. A solid local place that if I lived in the area I would be a regular. God food, good prices and even better drinks. The staff is attentive and helpful. This is a restaurant that every neighborhood needs!

Good for Seattle, but Texans beware

By Me |

Friendly staff and TexMex food is as good as can be expected as far North as Seattle. Fajitas were brought out on a fajita plate but the plate was not hot (that's the point of the plate people!) and were laying in a bath of oil. They have an American and Mexican flag but no Texas flag (what gives?!). Ceviche was pretty good. Had to apply Tabasco liberally to give it a little heat. If they don't have any Tabasco when you go it is because I emptied the bottle :-)

Perfect!!!

By Don C. |

Great beer selection. Service was great. Had that neighborhood feel which we really enjoyed. We ordered the truckstop enchiladas, veggie enchiladas and 4 steak tacos. Perfect!!!

Great Mexican Food

By CanucksInTrucks |

A little corner place on the fringe of downtown that is worth the trip. Great Tex-Mex and Mexican food in a very casual environment. Great value too.

cant say enough about how good this place is..

By Loves2TravelALOT_11 |

We ate here 3 times while in town visiting our son. The food and service cant be beat. On the multiple visits we had fajitas, chip and salsa, tacos ( carnitas and carne asada), the simple salad ( which was phenomenal) and other astounding dishes. The service was always great, the prices were excellent, and like the food and we loved it enough to return 3 times while in town visiting our son.

Yummy and Flavorful

By Jason E |

Family of 5 went late on a Sunday night. Service was a little slow, probably due to our being there for a meal so late. The dip that came with our chips and salsa was delicious -- some sort of slaw with chopped jalapenos. All of our entrees were good (quesadillas, chimichanga) -- all were spicy, perhaps a little too spicy for our kids. But I thought it was great -- would highly recommend.

Great food and service!

By Anthony H |

We were in a hurry as we were headed to a concert. The folks at Laredo's made sure that we were well taken care of and had speedy service. Although we were in a hurry, we were treated very well. we had amazing margaritas followed by delicious entrées. I have the black bean and corn enchilada which was incredible. This place is great for groups and is also very clean. Their decor is fun and their attitude is infectious.

Excellent Tex Mex

By DebbieReganD |

Took Trip Advisor's advice and tried this neighborhood joint. Excellent margaritas, guacamole and habanero shrimp tacos.

Uninspired Tex-mex

By twoandtwomakes5 |

The food was fine, if somewhat greasy and unnecessarily fried. The Chicken and pork were both a little tough, and the pork tacos could have used more time to allow the flavors to meld. The food tasted like it had been thrown together right before serving rather than cooked together for hours. That said, we were there at happy hour, so the food and drinks were relatively cheap, and the service was very good. The location (easily walkable from the space needle) was also a plus. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, but I wouldn't try to dissuade someone from going here, either.

So nice we went twice!!

By MoranTravels |

My family and I were staying down the street at a neighborhood hotel and felt like Mexican. Read decent reviews and took our chances. Margaritas (and virgin drinks for teens), Guacamole and all entrees were delicious. Enough so that on our way home from cruise we went again! Both visits were the same...great food, great drinks, and great service. For a place that's also a bar, they made our family feel very comfortable in one of the two booths they offer in the dining area. If staying in Queen Anne area of Seattle....don't miss this place.

Good neighborhood choice

By mattslatz |

Stopped here for a quick weekday dinner. Service was good. We had steak fajitas which were great a chicken tostada salad was good but dressing to spicy. Atmosphere was hip and cozy. Would return and recommend

Best Tex Mex I've ever had

By Cliff S |

This slightly out-of-the-way place has absolutely amazing food. I started coming here for lunch with a couple of friends and it's absolutely a regular lunch stop for our crowd despite the half mile walk from south lake union where we work. Their tacos are absolutely amazing, but so has everything else I've tried here. Lunch prices are typically $12-15 which is pretty reasonable as well.

So good we went back a second time.....

By janeandallen |

We were in Seattle a couple night before a cruise and Laredo's was a block away from our hotel. Glad we went. Friendly staff, good cocktail and beer selection and an extensive menu. First time we went we had guacamole, shrimp and chicken fajitas. All very good. Second night when we went back we had guacamole, shrimp and chicken quesadilla and a beef burrito. Again all very good. Wished we lived closer!

Good holesome meal

By p_travels342 |

The bartenders wore caps and made being behind the bar the coolest job in the world. Great, huge meals and lovely waitstaff in a funky, exciting restaurant. Highly recommend after having a look at the skyline a few streets down

Cold beer

By Carl R |

It was hot outside. They had microbrews and bottled Mexican beers. About 5 bucks a beer. Nothing fancy. Nice folks. The chips were good. They had a small outside seating area. This is a locals place away from the Seattle madness. You can glimpse the Space needle from here.

Happiest Hour for the Munchies

By J-Auve |

Laredo's is one of my absolutely favorite places to eat at in Seattle. I may be biased because "Mexican" cuisine is my first choice, but this place is amazing. Their full menu is delicious. The happy hour food menu is a great deal ($5 for a place of nachos that is good for 4 people to share), but they don't have much of a Happy Hour drinks menu (think $3 tall boy Tecates and $5 glass of wine). It's a great place but is pricey if you go for drinks + a meal during non-happy hour hours.

The Smokiness of Their Chicken is Amazing!

By Lee A |

Today I had enjoyed the Enchiladas Banderas with chicken. This was my first experience with any food from Laredos and this meal was delicious! I first tried the enchilada with green sauce. What stood out from my first bite was the smokiness of the chicken. So well done! Not overly smoked, and not overpowering of all the other flavors. The green sauce was very mild and could have used a little more flavor. Then I tried the enchilada with red sauce, which I thought was even better. It had some sweetness to it which was a great contrast between the two enchiladas. Overall I wish there was a little more heat in the sauces though. What I wasn't expecting was the smokiness in the beans. That caught me by surprise, and I wasn't too big a fat. I mean I ate them all anyways, but it wasn't my favorite preparation of beans. I'd definitely eat here again.

A lovely evening

We sat outside and enjoyed the carne asada fries and chicken tacos. The food was fresh and good and the staff delightful. Can’t wait to visit again.

Favorite Friday Night (or Saturday morning) Hangout

By 436marcys |

Laredo's is one of our favorite neighborhood joints. We've been coming here since we moved to Queen Anne a couple of years ago. We always feel reasonably welcome (despite the fact that we're probably a bit older than the typical 20 to 30-something crowd). The house specials are always good. The tacos al carbone are one of our faves. The Margaritas are good and reasonably priced. Saturdays are fun if you're a Texas football fan, and a terrific brunch - if a little unexpected. Service is pleasant and speedy, and the place can get happening on a Friday and Saturday evening. Relaxed and fun, it's a terrific neighborhood steady.

One of the Best Mexican restaurants anywhere in the world

By Wendy E |

We have had Mexican food in various places over the world - our meal here was up there with the greatest. Conveniently situated from our hotel. I had black bean and corn enchiladas and my husband had chicken fajita salad. Both were large portions, very tasty with enough heat but not too much so we couldn't taste all of the flavours. Mine came with refried beans and Mexican rice, the enchiladas were drizzled with green sauce and cream - delicious! We had an attentive, speedy and informative service - our waitress suggested we might like to try one of the Margareta on special at $5 each as it was a Monday. So i had an avocado one and my husband one with beer and lime - which we also enjoyed. After our mains we ordered Churros to share which was just enough to complete our meal. This place is well worth tracking down.

Delicious!

We were in Seattle two weeks ago and visited this restaurant twice. It was delicious. Very authentic, lots of food. Reasonable prices.

Awesome Tex-Mex

By rowdytj |

Was in town for the weekend Laredos was right next to my hotel. It is an unassuming place from the outside and parking is a bit of a challenge. Growing up in the south I grew up on Tex-Mex and didn't realize how much I missed it until I ate at Laredos. The enchiladas, burritos and tacos were awesome. Chips were very thin and crispy. They had an tomatillo avocado salsa that was the bomb. Shannon took care of us and was very attentive, kept our drinks filled and was a great server. Will definitely go back to Laredos when I'm back in Seattle and need a fix of Tex-Mex.

Great neighborhood Tex Mex

By Christa_Rocks |

I live across the street from Laredos and have been eating here consistently for 6 years. There's nothing better than margaritas on the deck on a warm summer evening or nachos (even waffle fry nachos) inside the cozy restaurant on a rainy night. The tacos are taco truck style and the traditional Mexican entrees are consistently good. The real star of the food menu is the red meat...grilled to perfection every time. Drinks are good here, albeit a little pricey, and rounding out the not-to-miss list are the avocado margarita and the beer and marg mix called the shandy. Yum yum Laredos!

Delicious Tex-Mex!

By Pam W |

This place serves some of the best Tex-Mex I've ever had..... And after living in Texas for almost 25 years and enjoying great Tex Mex, that's saying a lot! Restaurant is a neighborhood bar and grill ( tough finding parking so go early) and so worth going to for a meal. From the chips and salsa to the best guacamole I've ever had..... The food was fantastic. The carne asada steak was very tender and delicious! Our server, Austin, was very attentive and did a fantastic job.....even did a great job packing up our leftovers! (Which were delicious the second day!) This is a place we'll go back to time and again as we come to Seattle!

Lot's of tasty food and $5 margaritas served for the Monday Happy Hour(s) 4-6

By scvisi2r |

Everything was excellent. Tasty fish tacos, wonderful brisket sandwich, fast service. Portions are very large. This place was highly recommended by our daughter and lived up to the rating. Margaritas were delicious and served within 3 minutes of the time we sat down. The Happy hour deals are real bargains. Recommend you show up hungry and thirsty. Some outside dining. We ate inside and the only negative was that the music was a bit loud, but they turned it down at our request. The Monday margarita special is a great deal. A very fine spot.

Mexican Restaurant

By di v |

The name of the restaurant might be misleading as most of the fare is Mexican. The drinks were good, the atmosphere loud, the waitress more interested in talking to her friends then on waiting on tables.

Good atmosphere and food

By fast72 |

Came here for dinner. We tried carne asada, tacos al carbon plate and these delicious "panchos laredo" which are individual nachoes with shrimp and cojita cheese. We had a great server. The scratch margarita was great but the Laredo Cadillac was way too sweet for me.

Chips and Salsa Good

By Beach Bird |

This was a good spot to grab quick late night eats. Daily specials that are priced right. The biggest challenge is parking. That's what makes this a good walk to neighborhood doors.

Excellent

By slbrodersen |

We just got back from dinner which was excellent. Both of us enjoyed our entrees as well as a very spicy chili on queso to start. The service was quick and efficient and nice and the food was very good. this is a great place to go for a casual TexMex dinner. (reservations are probably not needed)
