Decent Mexican Food

By travelinpdx |

Came here with family to escape the massive prices of Marriott Seattle Airport. The food was tasty, the drinks were on happy hour and the service was reasonable. Nothing OUTSTANDING, but nothing bad either. I was glad it was an option. Free parking is available which is nice.

Good Burrito

By romanpiekosz |

I went there for late dinner which has become a burrito and beer. It was tasty meal. Not too expensive, convenient place between my hotel and Light Rail Station. I recommend this place. Roman Pi

Good food

By wp327 |

This restaurant has Salvadorian food. It was well-priced and good. The time to prepare the food was a little slower than most restaurants I have visited, but it was worth the wait.

So So Enchiladas

By Ed H. |

Las Palmas was recommended by a local hotel so three of us walked over. Nice place, not too crowded and a few tables of southern neighbours dining so we assumed that was a good sign. We all decided on Enchiladas. Wine was served in small glasses that emptied a bit too quickly for $6.50 a pop. We all found the Enchiladas OK but quite bland. Certainly not the best we'd ever had. Perhaps that wasn't the best thing on the menu to order but they are a staple in Mexico and usually very tasty. Adding salsa did not help. They definitely needed more 'jump.' Service was very friendly and attentive.

Save Your Money

By Dianne75645 |

This restaurant was just down the road from our hotel and we were in the mood for Mexican so we thought we would try it. Save your money and go some place else.

Inside better than outside

By Lonesome_Sparrow |

I stayed in the area for some days and took a short walk from the hotel to this place. On first sight, from the outside, it didn't look as I would have a decent dinner. But it was ok. Latin music and soccer on the TV. I took a plate with shrimps which I liked.

But I don't eat Mexican food

By Sweeney M |

This place was recommended to me by my hotel and within walking distance. I wanted something with beef. My waitress recommended a meal I couldn't pronounce..Bistec Enceboiado..was fantastic. I went back a second time for the same meal. Had to show her my bill so she could order the same meal..still couldn't pronounce it :) and it was still a great meal

Fun and tasty

By TheSpear |

Really good place with some different and delicious food. Everyone talks about their pupusas which are good but I would highly recommend the Plata tipico which has a variety of things including some really tasty empanada and yucca! While there was no children's menu, our toddler loved their quesadilla, chips and even the pupusa sauce. We also had a very friendly server and appreciated the free parking right out front.

Dinner Disappointment

By AshithPatel |

This restaurant was just down the road from our hotel and read good reviews about the place and decided to try it out. The food sounded very interesting. We had a group of 12 people. We were not in a hurry and they still messed up our order. The food was cold, service was terrible. I am a easy person to please but this place disappointed. Kids food was brought last.

a lovely little place!

By Patty S |

Walked to this restaurant from the Fairfield Inn in Seatac. It was a convenient short walk from the hotel (we didn't have a rental car). The restaurant looks modest on the outside. Inside it is not fancy, but inviting and cozy. The service was friendly and prompt; the food was excellent and not expensive. We enjoyed trying some Salvadoran dishes that were new to us. Delicious flavors. Give this restaurant a try! It was a welcome change from predictable chain restaurants.

Terrible....

By Brittany B |

My husband and I decided to go there on my lunch break. There were two ladies in the kitchen.and no one else in there. She sat us and just left us for about ten minutes, asked for our food and drink order. We both ordered cokes. She brings out drinks and I have a few sips of mine and look down at my cup and there are dead fruit flies. NOT JUST ONE OR TWO WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AT LEAST 15!!!!! Gross....No way are we ever going back there.

Hidden gem on quiet end of International Blvd

By mannjo |

It's a good thing that we didn't judge this place from the modest, unassuming exterior. It turned out to be a delightful surprise and our meal was fantastic. Inside it was nothing fancy but the hand carved wood furniture was quite lovely. To drink, we had tamarind juice and horchata which were both delicious and inexpensive. We ordered a side of pupusas which were also inexpensive and really worth trying. There are different types you can order and they are all delicious. The Polla Crema dish was fabulous. A good sampler dish was the Plato Tipico which included many different items. Everything was totally delicious! We were both blown away with the quality and amazing flavor of everything. What a great surprise and a highlight on our trip.

Great food and service!

By Plumeria6270 |

The staff were all very friendly and the server helpful in describing the menu items. The food was authentic and delicious. I would definitely return if I lived in the area! Highly recommend!

Great food!

By dizzylizm0m |

We were staying at a hotel in the area and read some good reviews about Las Palmas, so decided to try it. We're glad we did. Food was great, really good flavors in everything. I had Chicken Taco Salad, hubby had Beef Taco Salad and we tried a Pork Pupusa, which was excellent. Lettuce in the salads was fresh and green, unlike some places where you get a few green pieces and the rest is white and wilted. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, we'll definitely visit again.

This has potential, but keep looking.

By mcmac53 |

Outside, not much to look at, inside kind of dive bar ish. That would be just fine if the food was first rate. Great waitress. Ant in my margarita, 🐜 in đŸč. Not charged of course. (This is where the manager should have stopped in) Incredibly good salsa. Good chips. Wife liked her street tacos. I'm a chicken enchilada guy. Tasted like they cooked the chicken and let it lay around all day and then shoved it in an enchilada. Flavor wasn't bad. I have a feeling if this place was managed well, (it isn't) it could be a little gem. For now, avoid.

Wonderful Plato Tipico

By HelenM200 |

Los Palmas was within walking distance of our hotel and we decided to try it. I had a wonderful combination platter of chicharron, pork pupusas, chicken tamale and empanada. Plus the cole slaw, plantains fried yucca. Of course the meal was large but I was able to have a delicious Salvordoran meal plus leftovers for the plane ride tomorrow. The service was attentive and the servers were very nice. Check this place out!

Don’t rate on the outside ( and inside)

By Janet K |

Saw the reviews, otherwise never gone in there! Next to a gasstation , a bit hide away! Mexiacan/Salvadorian food. Extremely friendly staff and the food was really good!

A good meal and a good price

By Sylvie G |

We had a good meal despite not really knowing anything about the menu choices. We relied on the waitress' recommendations but the menu choices were quite limited. The meal was simple and tasty but nothing extraordinary. The price for food and a beer was good.

LOVE the pupusas!

By Louise M |

Not our first visit here but my first review of it. Las Palmas is within walking distance of the Residence Inn where we are staying so we headed there for lunch. My husband got a couple of mixed pupusas and I got a Revuelta and a zucchini pupusa. The pork was delicious, although I had asked for a chiccharone one and thought she understood that I wanted the crispy pork rind, not regular pork. The zucchini one was also yummy and the cabbage and sauce were perfect accompaniments. We did have to ask for a different squeeze bottle of sauce since the hole kept plugging and every time we'd squeeze it a little harder it would spray all over the table.

Salvadorian Food

By bobc965 |

Walking distance to the hotel. Kind of off set from the roadway. Typical Latin offerings, but they also had Salvadorian Pupas. Tasty little sandwiches Flavor was simple, nothing special Cold beer abounds. Not first choice next time

Nice neighborhood restaurant

By BD3856 |

This is a no-frills restaurant serving Mexican and Salvadoran food. The food is good. Service is good. Prices are very good. It's a good meal, but not exactly memorable.

A Taste Bud Delight!

By Laura E |

I was here when this restaurant first opened. Today, I decided to stop by after dropping relatives off at the SeaTac Airport. I remembered food and service were good so I decided to revisit. This restaurant services both El Salvadoran and Mexican cuisine. I order Chicken In Chipotle Cream Sauce with refried beans, Mexican rice, salad and corn tortillas. Oh my! This was so yummy!! I would order this again, my taste buds loved the chicken in chipotle cream sauce. I was full and happy when I left. Hope I can talk my relatives into stopping for dinner when they return home.

Our new favorite restaurant at SeaTac!

By Susan S |

We just came back from a month in Europe and wanted some spicy food for dinner. Just a 5 minute walk from the Residence Inn, this was the perfect spot and the street tacos were delicious while the lively salsa type music was so much fun we almost wanted to get up and dance to it! My husband likes really hot Chile (we're from New Mexico originally) and they gave him their special Habanero sauce which had him wiping his forehead with a BIG smile on his face! They even sent him back with a couple more little cups of the sauce he could put on his eggs at breakfast at our hotel the next morning! As we travel often, we've now found our favorite restaurant to enjoy when staying at SeaTac!

Tasty Salvadorrean food

By RoknMama |

Our hotel recommended this place for something different. While somewhat like Mexican food, Salvadorrean food has it own unique flair and twist to it. We enjoyed it very much!

Very good - but in SeaTac, not Seattle

By NationalParkHiker |

We ate here one night in early Oct. before a flight back to the east coast the next morning. We were fairly early, so the place was not crowded. Tables were spaced for safety, and the staff was masked. My husband ordered chicken enchiladas, and I had a side of rice. Advertised as a Salvadoran restaurant, there were many other items on the menu that would be interesting to try. Our server, Maria C, was helpful and pleasant. Bill with one beer, tax, and tip came to $25.

Wonderful dinner surprise

By LouiseT906 |

We walked here from the Holiday Inn Express. Pure deliciousness! Food was fantastic and portions were huge. Server was very friendly and suggested things on menu. Gem of a place close to walk to from our hotel. We even ordered a carry out for our son who couldn't come with us. Great good and extensive menu. So glad we went there!

Kind of divey, but food was fine

By Lisa S |

Not a bad little place. Seemed to have locals in there, and several folks came in for take out. I had the street tacos.

Authentic Latino cuisine

By shirlene f |

Not your typical, American Mexican resturant. Unique menu. Probably more authentic than what we are used to. Chips were served cold, salsa very tomatoey not very spicy. Not bad, just so so.

Walking Distance from Hotels

By Brian R |

A coworker and I stopped in for dinner this evening. I will say the convenience factor of being able to walk from our hotel was a selling point. All in all the food was pretty decent. I had a chicken quesadilla. It wasn't super cheap, but food prices in this whole area seem very high. I guess if your traveling, this is a pretty decent stop.

El Salvadoran food

By Kat_Merle |

This was my first experience with El Salvadoran food and it was amazing. We got there early and were a bit afraid yelp was wrong about the hours or the restaurant had closed... we waited nervously in the parking lot trying to figure out a backup plan when the lights came on inside. The waitress was friendly and great she answered my foolish questions with no attitude. She suggested the pupusas and a breakfast item I was not familiar with. The food was all delicious and the waitress continued to be friendly checking on us frequently to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We immediately made plans to come back again during our short stay because it was so tasty. Highly recommend it!

Very friendly, service kinda slow

By Welshdr |

There are many Mexican restaurants in the Puget Sound area. At least this is not another chain Mexican restaurant. The food was good, good portions, the grande margarita we got was a lot of ice, on the rocks, seemed more ice than drink. However, they were not stingy with the tequila, it did have a pretty good kick. Being that I am a light weight, I did get a little buzz, even sharing the drink....:) They staff was very friendly and able to understand a joke, and make some of there own, plenty of seating, it is on a hill, so there are some stairs, not sure if you can park above restaurant and avoid stairs, if you have someone challenged by stairs....service did seems to take a little time, getting chips, drinks etc

Good teste from Salvadorean food

By Xiomara D |

We tried this restaurant at the beginning of the year. Our experience was excellent, so it's part from my favorite restaurant list.

Later night dinner

By Bradley A |

Very reasonably priced and servings were large and quite authentic. Only a 4 minute walk away from hotel

Great place to eat

By Queenslander1234 |

This was a fantastic restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. The food was perfect and the price was very reasonable.

Tasty Salvadoran food

By PhotoTripper_10 |

Stopped here the night before flying out. This casual place offers Mexican and Salvadoran food. The zucchini pupusa and chicken enchiladas were tasty. Service was excellent.

Fresh and Delicious!!

By RosalieMB |

The gal that took care of us bent over backwards to make sure that the food and drink were spectacular! As a matter of fact, we will eat there again tonight before we leave town!

Only so-so

By soupmaster |

Ate here because it was in walking distance from our hotel. Disappointed that they didn't offer chips & salsa as we waited for our food. I ordered a burrito, but couldn't get this either as they were out of flour tortillas. Also, no queso. When I asked for chips as a substitute for a side I didn't want, I was told that was impossible as they were doing inventory???? Thankfully, the food we did get was pretty good. That's the only reason this place was given an "average".

Pupusas!

By Louise M |

This is one of my favorite ethnic foods and we don't get it often in Colorado so we always try to go when we are in SeaTac. We ordered a bunch of them to-go since our air bnb was nearby. They were delicious as always! The ones with chicharron are my favorite, but the zucchini ones are great too.

Eatable not incredible

By Travl4wrk |

I found this place walking around from my nearby hotel when in town on business. The offerings were pretty standard, nothing that wowed. I found the food to be lacking in spice and flavor. Service was good and friendly. I’d come back for a drink (full bar), but I doubt I’d return for dinner.

Not bad...not bad at all...will be back

By JSwag15 |

Las Palmas - Sea Tac Airport Despite the building doesn’t appear the nicest from the street view the restaurant inside is actually nice and clean inside. Good selection of Latin food, impressed by the selection of authentic Salvadoran dishes as well. They gave complimentary chips and salsa, nothing amazing but decent and a nice gesture. I ordered a coke/ pretty well balanced as far as CO2 & syrup mix. I ordered the cheese and Revuelta (Pork) Pupusa and the Chile De Queso. The Revuelta Pupusa was well Cooked and one of the better Pupusas I’ve had. Bread texture was fluffy inside but nice and crisp/ toasted on the outside. Went well with their hot sauce. The Chile de Queso wasn’t phenomenal but I thought it was a good dish. Serrano pepper stuffed with cheese and accompanied by yellow rice (which was cooked well also). Refried beans came with the meal as well. Oddly I almost didn’t try them cause they’re a typical add on filler dish but the texture of these refried beans were very impressive, normally refried beans almost look like a brown paste, but these were almost like refried pudding and have to say I liked em. My server was Maria and she was a sweetheart. She was genuine and attentive and even made some conversation. She was a joy to be served by. Overall I give the place a 4. Wasn’t the most phenomenal food I’ve ever had but it was good and enjoyable, authentic cuisine, clean restaurant and good waitstaff and my entire meal with pupusas and stuffed peppers and 4 sodas was 22 bucks before tip. I would definitely come back. Good food and reasonably priced.

Just a quick sample stop

By Kelley D |

The food here was nothing extraordinary . I am a contesour of This food and I found nothing impressive at this restaurant.

Different

By UKVISIT |

We quite liked this place and the cost was average. We had fried yucca and shared fajata's. We also tried pupusas they were ok. Everything came out quick and was pretty good. It was a different experience and we were happy.

Worst Restaurant Ever!!!

By Annetta K |

Had to beg for salsa and chips then they brought a tiny 4 Tablespoon chips. Took about an hour for food. We had fajitas. They were terrible. Hardly and on plate and the tortillas were like cardboard. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Horrible!!!

Great service

By David M |

Not the smartest place either inside or out, but food came quickly and was tasty. It’s seemed to be really popular for take-out food since we were the only ones seated on a Tuesday night

Not good.

By Adventurer12744 |

My wife and I ate here before flying out the next morning. I had the papusas and she had the tacos. Mine were nothing more than a tortilla with cheese and pork. No spices, beans, onions, or peppers and very bland. Her taco meat was very dry. Kind of looked like it had sat in the window while they were finishing my papusas. The tacos made her ill which was not good at any time. But definitely not if you have to fly out the next day. Will drive a little further next time and go to a better restaurant.

Second time and still awesome.

By Dave L |

This was my wife and I second time here. My second time for the Salvadorian food but my wife's first. However, it will definitely not be our last. The food is fresh and hot and the service is good. Quaint place it's not a five star venue but the food is.

You Have To Try This Place

By LarK68 |

This restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside, but the restaurant is clean and the staff very helpful. As for the food, they specialize in Latin food and everything we ordered was freshly made. Our meals were wonderful. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Surprising.

By Marius D |

After reading good reviews the walk made to las Palmas Located on a busy road tucked away next to a gas station in a corner. From the outside a grey boring building with a neon illuminated sign OPEN Within a Mexican/ salvardoran atmosphere. Four screens feature vietball. Service is friendly and a bowl of corn chips with sauce is put down with the drink The main meal ordered is bigger than expected and tastes good outside Everything is flavored and warm A second drink is filled free of charge You lack nothing. For the price of around 30 dollars primal person he didn't let it Vannharte recommended

Unexpected greatness!

By pedestals |

I was staying at a hotel close to the airport and saw this little place tucked away behind a gas station and decided to have lunch there. I'm so glad I did. The food was solo good. The salsa for the chips seemed fresh and really good. I had the Chile Relleno stuffed with pork. It was great! The Pico on the salad was just perfect! This is a great little place....

Surprise Near SeaTac Airport

By Linda W |

My husband and I discovered this unassuming restaurant while staying near the airport. The service was friendly and helpful and the food excellent, yet inexpensive. I had the best (and biggest) chicken quesadilla ever. My husband had a chicken dinner and two pupusas, and he pronounced everything delicious. The server told us that the restaurant will soon be renovated. It was plain, but very clean. I will look for Salvadorean food in the future when traveling.

Modest Setting, Excellent Food

By Lars_5 |

My wife and I were driving back to Seattle only to find ourselves stuck in stop-and-go traffic. We decided to stop for dinner and wait for the traffic to die down. We stumbled onto this place at random and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is clean but simple, but the food is delicious! We live in the city and recently a number of high-end Mexican food places have sprung up around Seattle, but they are all atmosphere with mediocre food and high prices. Las Palmas has better food than all of them! Took a little while to get our food, but our server was very prompt and friendly.

Fantastic food and staff!!!

By cherie1223 |

My son and I had about 15 minutes after his hockey game and before his doctor appointment (bad planning on my part lol) and they were so accommodating. We walked in and I asked if it was even possible to eat in 15 minutes and the waitress was so gracious getting us to a seat right away, but suggesting what would be quickest to eat. We had the shredded beef taco combos and it was wonderful. Great food and great staff!! Thank you :)

Interesting spot

By kikirob |

Most of the menu is Mexican but a few items are Salvadoran. It was fun to try those items instead. Food was good and service. Nothing fancy at all but good decent food.

Good Price and Fair Food

By dramien |

We all needed a place to chat after the seminar and some of us were really hungry so we picked this restaurant as it was close to where we were. The service was quick, the portion was o.k. the ambience was o.k. too. The price point was average.

nice, easy neighborhood place

By AlaskaNurse |

This is a little Salvadorian restaurant just south of SEATAC within easy walking distance of many of the airport hotels. Parking in front, Looks a bit sketchy at first glance but the place was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely friendly. Very casual neighborhood place. There were alot of folks there to watch a soccer game on the bar TV. Only one server, one fellow in the kitchen, and a small bar, so I'm not surprised the reviewer with a party of 12 had a not-so-good time. It has all the usual Mexican-type dinners (enchiladas, burritos, etc). The best deal might be their puposas, a flatbread filled with your choice of cheese, pork vegetables, etc. Around $3 apiece, 2-3 make a meal. Food was good, service was friendly and quick. Its a nice alternative to hotel food if you are overnighting at one of the SEATAC hotels.

Poor

By JDLforce |

Knowing Latin/Salvadorian cousine, this falls way behind. The concept is good and close to the real deal but the lack of love makes the whole experience a little bit bitter. Felt like cook doesn't like what she is doing.

You HAVE to go here!!!

By CrochetAddict |

The food is amazing! You know that you are at a great restaurant when you are the only Caucasians in a Hispanic restaurant! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try something a little out of the norm for Mexican food. Their tortillas are more like a pancake but taste great. The pupusas were delicious!!! I would probably discribe them as a stuffed pancake. My cousin & husband tried the combo platter that started with a "T" (sorry, I can't remember the name) and they were completely taken with the variety of foods that they tried. I had the Fajita Mixa, which was steak, chicken, shrimp, onion & peppers. It was delicious and I can't wait to eat the leftovers that I had. I will most definitely come back here!!!

Very pleased!

By trvlbum18 |

I had never had pupusas before and they were excellent. Very good service. Very friendly people. Very inexpensive. Not a fancy place. Not many vegetarian options. The margaritas weren't very strong. But overall, I highly recommend Las Palmas.

Great tasting Mexican Food

By MagJoe2015 |

I had a great burrito "Mojado" at this restaurant which was close to my hotel, the Hampton Inn. I would recommend this restaurant to any Mexican food lover.

Nice Suprise!

By Karen B |

Showed up a half hour before close on a Friday night. Four moms and 5 teenage girls. The waitress was helpful with suggestions. We ordered and 10-15 minutes later we had our food. It was delicious, the rice was fresh as were the beans. Someone commented how it was the 1st time they had juicy chicken for their fajita. I must say we were pleasantly surprised, prompt, fresh and delicious, given the opportunity we will eat there again.

Fun family meal spot

By Ike1 |

We enjoyed a great family dinner here. The service was excellent. Great food with some interesting options. Would definitely go again when in the airport area.

Giant plate of meat to share!

By adventuregirl2015 |

My friend and I shared a combo plate. It had so many types of meats on it I don't even remember what they all were. most were very good though one was a bit over cooked and tough.

Fantastic!

By Janet S |

Spending the night in a nearby hotel, we walked to Las Palmas. It's a small Salvadorian restaurant and appeared to be frequented mostly by locals. We ordered street tacos which were excellent! Also, the salsa served with chips before the meal was "to die for". Modest prices and friendly/helpful staff.

Traveling

By Dorothy M |

I would like to go again. Also learn to make pollo's myself. Close to airport hotels and a Seven -11. Waitress was very friendly .

The best hand mixed margarita I can remember

By welshcobdrivinggrams |

This is Salvadoran food so don't expect Tex-Mex. It was great. I would have had a second margarita but my husband wouldn't agree to carry/drag me back to the hotel. The hand made tortillas were thick and "meaty". The servings were generous. I hardly ever finish a meal at a Mexican restaurant, but I couldn't stop eating this food.

saturday lunch

By FrequentFlier524243 |

We stopped here on a whim. my husband is from el salvador so he was excited. the chicken was the juiciest I have ever had. the shrimp was well seasoned. the entire meal was awesome. the papusas were authentic and reminded ny husband of home.

Nice find by the airport

By abien |

Stopped by on the way to the airport. Along a stretch of 99 that is all hotels. Doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside the food is good, service friendly, very clean. Went right when they opened at 11. Had the plato tipico Salvadoran sampler and a taco salad (split among 3 people). Everything was good. Would recommend, especially if you're staying in one of the nearby hotels. Full bar, and it looks like they have karaoke at night too if you're into that sort of thing.

Basic Mexican Food near SEA

By Cordon J |

Basic M food. Wow, could be better, but close to SEA. Nothing to brag about, service was good, but restaurant was you're typical bar/Mexican restaurant. Sorry, can't explain anymore cause there are a ton of these type places.

Excellent service and great food

By Jennifer N |

The menu has many choices to fit almost any dietary request. The food was delicious and the service was great. Easily walking distance from my hotel.

OK but not great

By zencat |

Our food was OK but not good enough for us to want to come back again. I had enchiladas with both red and green sauce. They were good but not exceptional. I did have a margarita with my meal and it was really good. My husband bravely tried the El Salvadorian meal. He found it barely edible. The atmosphere is kind of dark and bar-like.
