This little restaurant is run by Rosa from Madrid who makes the most authentic homemade food from Spain. Her tapas are generous and well priced and her daily specials are fantastic like her cocido madrileño on saturdays, excellent! she offers at great wine list at unbelievable prices, I recommend the house wine which never fails to please.

This is a small restaurant in a strip mall on 8th Street. The restaurant is attended by the owner & her daughter. Additionally they have a few people helping. The food is very good & the prices are very reasonable. It is authentic Spanish food. I highly recommend it.

This place will make you feel like you’re eating at your grandma’s place, and its atmosphere will transport you to a restaurant in the outskirts of Spain. It offers traditional and authentic Spanish food, dished up without pretensions. A good place to have lunch with friends and spend time with your family.

Do not let the little strip mall and ugly sign fool you. When you walk in, you will have a quite complete menu of traditional tapas, paella, and entrees to please you. The service was friendly, helpful and right on. Rosa, the owner is a delightful lady from Madrid. The food is almost exactly as served in Spain. If I close my eyes, I am believing I AM in Spain. Prices are reasonable. Good food and meats are never cheap! I highly recommend this little restaurant if you want a taste of the real Spain!

I have been here many times and finally writing a review. This place is amazing. I am of Spanish decent, and the good here is as good as if you were eating in Madrid. Friendly staff, great food! Highly recommended !

I love this place in Little Havana. They have an excellent clams in green sauce, and their rabbit is sensational. It's very affordable and local and safe and delicious, as is their sangria. I even got an extra order of the green sauce to take home! And if you want they have a to go counter up front with some delicious deserts! It's small, but we have never needed a reservation for lunch. When I visit my friends in South Beach this is our go-to place, just a hop over the causeway and a good outing. My third visit!

this is a fantastic tapas restaurant! the garlic shrimp and tuna stuffed peppers are to die for. the sangria is delicious as well. sort of in a seedy area and it's on a one way street. but if you can find this place, it's worth the stop. the food is amazing!

Excellent family own Spanish restaurant in the heart of Little Havana. This was our first time here and loved it. Great food Great service with great wine. I will definitely return.

This gem is nestled in an unattractive strip mall a few blocks off of Brickell Avenue on 8th Street. There isn't a tourist in sight. It is casually elegant with delicious, authentic Spanish tapas. Each dish is flavorful and delicious. It is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon with great food, great good and great friends.

Do not expect fancy outing at this place. I arrived with girlfriend and there was no one there at 5:30 PM on a Friday. We sat down had some good wine, Tapas and great food. Will return as Service is excellent.

Served by very friendly staff. I prefer to have both cold and warm tapas. Of course always with a good red Spanish Wine. (Ribera del Duero Region)

The food is very good, however, prices are out of control. i was charged 22.50 for a dish called huevos rotos. french fries with two fried eggs on top. 9.00 for a broth with fine noodles. i would much rather go to Casa Juancho down the street and pay these prices. They changed their menu recently and doubled up on their prices. Lunch for 2 was 130.00 not including tip. Not going back.

Excellent tapas cooked by the owner who is a chef from Madrid. We're lucky she relocated to Miami. It's hard to duplicate Spanish cuisine because we don't have the access to the ingredients but Rosa does a fantastic job. The wines are priced moderately and the meals are always delicious. I've visited 5-6 times.

I have tried to visit this mom-and- family restaurant on my visits to the area since it was highly recommended. This time on a Sunday afternoon we entered the place and were sat. They had some reservations as I was told. The place is cozy and the menu has an array of Spanish dishes and tapas. We waited at least 10 minutes to be approached. A couple of people from the staff were helping with the service. Finally, we were approached and we placed the order. I was already uncomfortable and was thinking of leaving the place. We ordered one seafood soup, garbanzos and the black rice. The idea was not to wait so much. About 5 minutes later they brought an amuse to the table: pickled olives and two thin slices of Manchego cheese and two slices of chorizo. When they served the rice and garbanzos they brought sliced bread. The rice was cold and the chorizo had a good taste. I asked for the rice to be reheated so they did. We decided to ask for the check after we ate these two dishes. Perhaps we need to try some other dishes in the menu to have enough criteria for judging the food. However, I’ve had better similar dishes in other Spanish restaurants in Miami. The service was too slow and table maintenance was average. I believe they are understaff on Sundays. Not sure if I would return, but I wish them well.

Had dinner here right after Thanksgiving with family. Having had the opportunity to go to Spain and have authentic Spanish cuisine this place is just as good or better. We all had 4 different dishes and they were spot on. Would recommend for a good Spanish restaurant for either lunch or dinner in Little Habana.

I loved the tapas. The environment is great! I think fish plates are a good pick. The sangria was good, and they have traditional Spanish beer. Prices are reasonable.

Not always the fanciest restaurant is the best.... Las tapas de Rosa is for me the best spanish restaurant in miami! It's lime going to your aunt's home to eat! Love the tortilla de patata and chistorras. Also, the bread is exquisit!!! Bravo Rosa!!!

we were 4 in our party. We had several TABLAS of assorted Ham and Cheeses. Garbanzo dish was excellent. The Ambiance was just right, will definitley go back. A small quaint family owned place.

Best Spanish food I have tried in Miami!! And the service is great too!! Everything is delicious! Totally recommended!!

Enjoyed eating at this typical Spanish restaurant run by a husband and wife and their children. Food was excellent and fairly priced.

Went there on a Tuesday for lunch expecting a lot more. Ordered the Callos a la Madrileña and the special of the day Paella (seafood paella). The Callos were tasty, but the tripe pieces where cut too big and were tough, they needed more cooking time. The seafood paella which was the daily special was a total disappointment :( The taste was ok, but it was mostly rice with calamari pieces, there were only two small shrimp, one mussel, one tiny clam and I didn't find any fish pieces. I found the restaurant too pricey for what you get. The staff is very friendly, and there is parking in the little strip mall where it is located.

I have been to this small, simply decorated restaurant many times and it never dissapoints. this time we shared iberico ham, croquetas, chistoreas, the house revuelto, roasted peppers with goat cheese and some desserts. Everything freshly made and extremely good. Pay attention to the daily specials, usually very good. Service is quick and friendly, parking in the small trip mall is tight in peak hours. Prices are reasonable and there is a small store where you can pick up some Spanish goods.

Went with my husband and had a delightful Spanish homey dinner in Miami. Everything came out in perfection degree. Food, service and prices. We had cod fish croquettes that melyed in your mouth fried perfectly dry amd very tasteful. The squid galician style was prepared to a perfect doneness! The "corvina" fish was very fresh and tasty and the spanish fried potatoes very crispy! The white house wine (albariño) paired with the food perfectly well. The dessert: a vanilla custard had the perfect balance and the expressos were very good. Service also very good !

Went here as it was highly recommended. Must say that perhaps my expectations were too high. We had many tapas to try as much as possible: pulpo a la gallega was fresh but potatoes were bland, garbanzos needed flavor, croquetes de bacalao were ok, chistorras were very good, rabo encendido (ox tail) was below average, tortilla was dry I had to order aioli to add flavor, deserts were ok. Overall, it was an average meal. There are much better places in Miami for this type of food. Wish them well.

Have been here on various occasions and if your in the mood for solid Spanish food this is the place. This restaurant has been here for many years but the food is consistent. Their tapas like the ham croquettes, jamón serrano and tortilla are very good. The real winner here is their seafood paella. This dish is very good from the rice to the generous portion of seafood. This place is not big but worth discovering. Enjoy

We were delighted to find this authentic Spanish family restaurant. The food and wine were delicious, service was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended

I have known this little restaurant on 8th street near downtown Miami for years. Access is not easy and parking is very limited, so I haven't been there in a while. I decided to stop by earlier this week with a friend that didn't know of this place. The place is small but with a lot of character and the food...well the food is always consistently delicious. Genuine Spanish cooking from the tapas to the daily specials. Authentic, homemade Spanish food. Nobody beats Las Tapas de Rosa in Miami.

I came to this small restaurant to taste some tapas(small dishes of food, as they call them in Spain), with my wife last Saturday. We order some chickpeas (garbanzos fritos)that were delicious and a special of zarzuela de mariscos(like a seafood heavy soup), that left licking my fingers. Than we had some cod croquettes and to finish some Santiago tart. To swallow all these we order some sangria that was not only fresh but very decent at $ 12 a 1/2 pitcher, that was more than sufficient for two. The food is genuinely Spanish, like in the old days(I studied in Salamanca University in the 60's),with that special touch so difficult to find!!

This restaurant is consistently good and the service is good. All tapas and food is great but my favorite is el Cocido Madrileño. The restaurant atmosphere is homey and feels like you're eating at a home. Service was a little slow but it was a very busy lunch time. The quality of the food was excellent as well as the atmosphere which is what we were looking for at a late lunch. Price was reasonable for the quality of food. Definitely recommend.

Good service and excellent wine and prices. Excellent seafood a la carte. I recomend reservation on saturday.

Im in Miami after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico- a close friend took me for lunch- excellent authentic Tapas followed great service- great genuine Spanish atmosphere- great house wine- it is a pity they close at 4:00- if not I would have returned for dinner- it is casual and very confortable - a Gem in Famous Calle 8- highly recommended-!!

Wife and I had dinner there last night. A beautiful place with friendly service. The food was also good, although the cocido madrileno was a little bland, and could have been warmer. The zarzuela de mariscos was good, as well as the croquetas de jamon, bacalao and chorizo. The crema catalana was excellent as well as the cafe bonbon.

Don't miss this Spanish cuisine in Miami. The best I've eaten in a long time. Everything is careful, tasty, at temperature Required, with unbeatable attention.

You are not impressed with the location but you will be by the fresh authentic Spanish delights you will have the pleasure of enjoying. Run by a family your food will always be fresh and delicious, lunch and dinner. I do recommend making reservations. The gazpacho and octopus are the best ever. Their daily specials are very varied and according to the fresh ingredients they can get. Wine is at very affordable prices and save space for dessert!! The service is super, friendly and courteous, you will dine as if in Spain without the flight, Enjoy.

We ordered several different appetizers for out meal, plus their fresh Sangria and were very pleased. The appetizers were hot and delicious, pleasingly arranged. Drink service was prompt and courteous, with the owner/manager? and waiter both attending to our table before we ever needed anything, with a smile, and helpful suggestions. We tried two different deserts to go, as we were already so full from the tapas, and both deserts (cheesecake for me, and sadly I forget the desert my friend had) were mouthwateringly good later that evening back at the hotel. I already plan on returning my next trip back to Miami.

A great place for family lunch. It is like to be in Madrid but in Miami :) Attended by their owners. Food taste like home made in Spain. A place to go. No doubt. Rosa and Gloria the best of the best!!!!

After 1 year of not going to Las Tapas De Rosa, I still affirm that by far it is still the restaurant that perfectly reflects Spanish homemade food. everything tastes delicious, fresh. It is a place where you can see the cleanliness in every corner. They have a very good and inexpensive wine list. Wines that somewhere can charge $ 120, such as Valduero Reserva, here they sell just a little more than half. SUPER RECOMMENDED

This is one of the best tapas restaurants I've ever been to. The arroz Negro was excellent. The squid was nice and tender and the squid ink rice was delicious. Sangria is wonderful, here one of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its variety of dishes and for the flavorfulness also.

Departing Miami, I needed to reach one of the goals that was to eat paella since that is not an easy to prepare dish or easily available in Texas. Searching I found this location and the pictures screamed Spain and home cooking. The location is found in a tiny strip mall with hardly any parking. If you're driving a big vehicle it's going to be challenging. As you enter, you walk into a deli counter walkway. The establishment has 2 main seating sections one that has a traditional aura and the next formal seating. Our server was nice and explained the menu. We received complimentary bread and cheese. The boys had basic chicken and potatoes. Wife and I ordered paella for 2 mixed seafood and chicken. The one problem is that paella is made from scratch so expect 50 minutes for it to be served. In the meantime we ate the chorizo appetizer. The final product arrived and the ambrosia from the cooking gods hit the table. The true intertwined flavors explode on your mouth. The fresh sea food taste was present yet not overwhelming to cancel the seasoned chicken. This place is highly recommend and a plus if you appreciate this plate. This is not an inexpensive dish at $20 per person so it was close to $90 yet well worth each bite.

I have been going to this place for many years and it still delivers some of the most authentic and high quality Spanish cousin in Miami. Ingredients are top quality and the recopies are authentic and delicious. Servers (the same for years) are very nice, but food is typically slow to come out of the kitchen. Rosa is always there to oversee every detail and as usual very nice to customers. Great place for lunch.

The spanish ham is not the real stuff, it is not knive cut is machine sliced very thick like in a deli, and the quality is very poor and this plate for $ 25.00 ?? The Rabo de Toro was poorly cooked and full of fat also over price....The pictures you see in the web is not like what is served on the table. The three musicians that walked in pretending to be a Tuna, were a disgrace, making a lot of noice and acting like clowns, one was even bulgar with his moves. The bottom line is that most people that go there do not know the real spanish cooking and can not judge their quality.

Visited Rosa's last week for the first time, and was warmly welcomed by everyone working. The food here is absolutely incredible. The octopus appetizer and the ox tail were among some of the best meals I've ever had. The sangria was also delicious. If you don't speak Spanish, don't be intimidated - they'll help you out and make sure you have a wonderful time and some world-class food. Already planning my next trip to MIA just to eat here again. Gracias, Rosa!

You will find a fresh and well cooked Spanish food at reasonable prices. Service is excellent. Owner and her family make you feel at home.

It's been a while since I visited a Spanish restaurant. And this was a pleasant surprise for us. Its delicious food and its service are outstanding. We will be back very soon.

Great authentic spanish food...small restaurant run and manage by the same owner for years..they have a good selection of tapas and wines and the "daily special" I will recommend the paella (tuesdays) and the lentils soup (Thursdays) you may also want to try the "garbanzos fritos"...services is exceptional...they make you feel you are part of the family...price is a little up but totally worth your money. I recommend you to stop by...be alert...you may miss it is a little hole in the wall...only for people to know Miami finest..

The food was cold and no salt and flavor at all the attention bad waste of time and money.I wont go back there anymore.

We visited this tapas place based on TripAdvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. We parked at the meter on a side street about a block away and walked. It seems quaint, but has a very authentic feel once inside. My girlfriend traveled to Spain prior to our trip to Miami, and she was in love with Las Tapas de Rosa. The waitress spoke English very well, but was more than happy to practice Spanish with my girlfriend, who studies Spanish. I wish I could recall her name, but she was happy to explain anything, offer food suggestions, and was quick to bring our lunch. It has been several months, but I recall the croquettes being delicious. I think we also ordered calamari, and gazpacho. Everything was very good. Spanish, but not fake or tex-mex style at all. The food was reasonably priced, nearly to the point of being surprising. Las Tapas de Rosa was one of the highlights of the trip, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for delicious tapas. Bonus: there is a small la tienda (store) inside the restaurant. We picked up some hard-to-find Spanish beer, but sadly they don't carry Cruzcampo beer.

Since it opened a few years ago, Las Tapas de Rosa has offered the food you'd get at a Madrid home where the lady of the house was particularly good in the kitchen. Spanish patrons have said that the Callos a la madrilena, a classic tripe dish, are better than what you get in Madrid. I've been going over the years and have never been disappointed. Para chuparse los dedos!

A truly affordable Spanish Restaurant in the middle of downtown. The dining room is cozy, attractive, and intimate. Service is personal and the staff is warm and welcoming. The tapas alone can be a meal with a variety that I have not seen outside Madrid. The food is exquisite with fresh cooked fish in the style of various provinces of Spain.

At the start of popular Calle 8 in Little Havana, you will find Las Tapas de Rosa, located in a small shopping center. A high-quality genuine Spanish food and quiet restaurant of about 12 tables, you will be able to taste Rosa’s delicious cuisine at affordable menu prices… and meet her too. Great customer service in a clean environment helps to enhance this overall experience. There is no rush to order or pay, the table belongs to you until you decide to leave. Even the incredible bread, imported from Spain, is an experience, especially its crust. Las Tapas de Rosa is definitely different from the rest. Highly recommended.

This is a family run and operated location, which we discover by chance when invited by friends. The food is spanish home made. The "callos a la madrileña" are out of this world.

So far this is the first place in Florida my wife and I have visited that we can actually call Authentic Spanish Tapas. Comparing it to the many Tapas Bars we have visited in Spain

This is quite an unusual Spanish restaurant abroad because it is based in dishes from different locations in Spain and it has a real home cooking feeling like I have seldom seen in a Spanish restaurant outside Spain. Nothing fancy but tasty and welcoming

An entire disappointment, very expensive restaurant and the quality of the meal does not approach to Spain, it is an insult to the Spanish cuisine l, the rations are the smallest and very badly served, the olive oil was mellow and bad quality, I asked for water 4 times and did not receive it until I get angry, a cheap wine with Gourmet prices, the bread they receive it from you, definitely it is not a good place to have dinner, I do not recommend it

The new chef needs to travel to Spain to understand how to prepare food. From the time you enter, the service has become mediocre at best. Portions are much smaller and when you order a cocido, they will serve it without the soup and if you ask for it then by the time it gets to you, the other food is cold. When you go to pay make sure that they have not included the tip. They did and when I questioned it they said that 18% was the least they expected for the mediocre service they provided. I would have felt that for the food and service for two of over $100.00 for a cocido, huevos estrellados and a bottle of house wine is way overpriced!

Cozy place with friendly service. Dining room next to the storefront wherr you can make purchases to go. Refreshing sangria, and delicious tortillas to start. Reservations accepted and recommended as there are only 8 tables.

Ate at Las Tapas de Rosa 2 weeks ago because i was in the mood for true Spanish tapas. I travel to Spain a few times per year and really enjoy tapas as well as the atmosphere. I thought that living near Miami, this would be the best chance to get tapas as close to authentic as possible. I looked a several reviews and chose Rosa's. The restaurant is in a small strip mall in the Little Havana section of Miami and not far from downtown. Upon entering there is a small section where you can find groceries imported from Spain. The restaurant itself is small and cozy and the atmosphere goes well with tapas. There were 7 of us and each couple chose 2 tapas and shared them as our meal. Some of us chose the same tapas. One of the dishes was the entremeses which was a mixed dish of Serrano hame, Spanish sausage, manchego cheese & dried salami. It was very good but not great. Others included fried calamari (nice portion and a light batter. Not heavily breaded like in some so called Italian restaurants. Overall very good), tripe (below average and still smelled a bit), garlic mushroom (very good), Octopus with paprika (good), Grilled squid "Sepia" (well below average as it was really tough and like chewing uncooked squid. This could be a tasty dish if it had been cooked better), Spanish Omlette with potatoes (good), shrimp with garlic (very good), Chicken croquettes (good), plate of manchego(good). Service was very good and attentive. Overall I feel it was a good experience and I would come back. Some tapas were good others were not so good while others were very good. I did not find any of the dishes to be outstanding thus, my quest to find that tapas restaurant in the USA like the ones in Spain continues!
Need to be more welcoming
It's always disappointing when you have been a regular customer for years and you go to a place on weekend night at Around 9:15 and you are immediately told you cannot sit in the regular dining room ( where there were at least three tables available) and must instead sit in the smaller room that has the counter, the cashier and a few grocery items that they sell, a room that is much smaller and where you have to contend with more traffic of people who may come in and out etc. When we came in we were told immediately that we had to sit in the front room and we were then were seated in a little corner in a table right by the entrance to the restaurant. There was no hello or good evening. Only pushy directions to sit somewhere else where we did not really want to be seated. We do not understand how a Spanish restaurant, in particular, can already be closing a dining room at around 9PM on a Saturday night. We decided to stay and we actually had an enjoyable meal, but also felt that we had to hurry because they appeared to be wanting to close for the night soon afterward. I have always like this restaurant and I have always liked her food and the owners, but we must recommend to the restaurant owners, that they don't do this to customers and that they remain open and welcoming later on the weekend days that they are open. While we realize that they are primarily a family-run lunch place, if they do open in the evening on Fridays and Saturdays, they should be more welcoming to people that make it to their restaurant in the evening, and not make them feel that they need to eat quickly because they want to close earlier that would be normal for a restaurant open for dinner on the weekend. We had tapas and wine and enjoyed our meal, but we will think twice about going back on a weekend evening. There are other choices available that also serve delicious Spanish food and that are much more welcoming to their clientele. I write this in the hopes that the owners adjust their attitude as well as their schedule a bit on the weekend nights that they are open; should not make their customers feel that they are not too welcome if they arrive after 9 pm on a weekend night to have tapas. That's all. Hope the advice is taken in good spirits because it is offered with good intentions for the best in a business sense.
