If you like an authentic Mexican meal and strong Margaritas this is the place to go! I went on a Friday night and it was superrr crowded but still a good ambiance! I had a strawberry margarita (frozen) which was tasty & strong. The make the guacamole fresh at your table side (even at the bar area) which was a plus! The food is good if you like authentic Mexican. I prefer a little more americanized Mexican food but it is still good. I truly recommend specially for the drinks!

For you Mexican lovers out there don't miss out on this cute place the next time you're in NE Phila or Southampton, PA. Everything is always consistently good. True Mexican food with a lot of what I call American Mexican too. (for you fussy eaters out there) Prices are great. Drinks are great. Eat up and enjoy.

I ordered take out. By the time I got home and walked the dog after a 12 hour shift I was exhausted . And what do I find in my take away bag but only half of my order. The tray was half full of what was supposed to be in there. I have complained so many times about this place and to them. But this stuff continues to happen. Officially never going back, ever.

I've been going for years. Atmosphere nice, good and prices are great and you see the same servers and bartenders so they must also think this place is GREEEEAAATT. Lol

Love the food, inexpensive and delicious. Shrimp fajitas are good they give you a lot of shrimp. Tacos are good. They keep the chips and salsa coming.

I love Las margaritas, you can never go wrong when you want a quick bite, or just to hang out. Their serving sizes are huge, you can't beat their prices either and las margaritas is the only place that i have been too that makes a great classic mojito.

Went for my best friends birthday on a Friday night. Waited extra long at the bar for our table, it was packed. The drinks were amazing as the complimentary chips and salsa. Once seated, we ordered our food in the very small cluttered dining room. I think it took awhile but we were all talking and laughing. The food arrived hot and alot of it. I thought it was just ok, kind of bland and I wrapped up my leftovers for my husband. He ate them when I got home and said it was bland as well and he would not eat there but I would go back for mango margaritas!

I’ve frequented this place for the good Mexican food and the 16 ounce margaritas. Which are pretty good too. However, I will not be returning due to the terrible service. We ordered over $100 dollars of food and drinks between three people. He never checked in on us unless we asked for him and anytime we did he would give us a dirty look. He was extremely rude to my friend especially and ignored her anytime she spoke directly to him. He dropped the check and only then did he start checking up on his to see if we paid. After paying we stuck around for girl talk and decided to get another beer. The server had the nerve to tell my friend, the one he ignored the whole night, that she can’t order another beer because it’s not worth the tip and we have to leave. He proceeded to give us dirty looks to us. The manager was pretty useless too. We talked to him and he gave us the beer but then charged us for it but gave no apology for his employees horrible service. Hasta la vesta las margaritas

I was finally able to get over to this restaurant and they did not disappoint. My 4 yr old son husband and I went here for lunch. My son got chicken tenders and fries, my husband had carne asada tacos and i had texana fajitas (which includes, steak, chicken and shrimp) The food was absolutely amazing. They also provide you chips and salsa when you are seated. Which is so yummy. The price is reasonable and staff is very friendly. I highly recommend.

Have been going to this place since it opened. terrific food, very reasonably priced. Friendly servers. Can get a bit noisy, but I still love it.

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times and we love it there! Delicious food and attentive staff, authentic environment and lively music-all these help you feel like on a tropical island! We recommend it to everyone! Great experience!

Best food and Margaritas north of the border! Fresh cooked when you order, drinks are fantastic, nice decor.

The food here is amazing. A wide menu to choose from at ridiculously low prices. Three of us are dinner here with drinks, appetizers, entrees, & dessert for a hair over $100.00. The portions are large, the price can't be beat, and a great staff to boot.

Overall good food with a nice presentation. Coming from LA and San Diego Mexican food is part of everyday life! The hot sauce wasn't the greatest but they made up for it in their quality of meat. In a burrito you never know what you are going to get! The drink's were reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly. I would go back if I crave Mexican.

My g/f and I stopped in for lunch last week, after I 'demanded' we stop in to check it out (she has frequented this establishment many times previously). Since I am not a native of Philadelphia, I was not aware that this place existed. Though Philadelphia has a myriad of great restaurants, it had been my experience that Mexican cuisine is lacking throughout the region. And then there is "Las Margaritas!" I ordered the special margarita of the day, Raspberry, and started crushing some chips and salsa - pondering the menu as I munched and sipped. I ordered the Enchiladas Supreme, and anxiously awaited its arrival. I didn't have to wait long, as the food arrived in under 10 minutes...and there was a LOT! I finished about 75% of it, polished off the margarita, munched a few more chips, and then cashed out. I'll definitely be going back. Soon.

Early Friday nite, seated and immediatly served good salsa and fresh warm chips. Server appeared immediately and took drink orders, quickly served tasty guacamole I ordered. Our shrimp faitas took a little while longer, but good. We could have used a couple more tortillas, but the food was well seasoned, good and filling. Wait staff were attentive, and kept our water glasses filled. The ladies room was very clean. We will come back again.

Went there with my son. We’ve have never had and issue till this visit. My son ordered nachos grande, and I ordered nachos with just chicken and beans, no onions or peppers. The server asked if I wanted shredded chicken or grilled. However she did not explain that the shredded came with onions and peppers mixed in. Nor did she say the grilled chicken was $4 more. Our food came out pretty fast but mine had onions and peppers. I explained to her that I do not eat onions or peppers and could I have it remade with grilled chicken. That seemed to piss her off and from then on she had an attitude. Now this time I waited 20 minutes for the remake of food which I’m sure this was done on purpose. My son was finished eating so I just asked for a box. When the bill comes my food ended up being more then expected. When my son asked the server she said with an attitude well the grilled chicken is more. She then proceeded to argue with my son. Very unprofessional. This used to be one of our favorite places however we will not be returning.

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the area , the food is delicious , has a wide range of entrees , of course your typical , burritos , fajitas , but definitely and authentic restaurant which is hard to find , famous for the guacamole and margaritas, there sangria is delicious!!!!!! Price is very affordable and the ambiance is always great a must do when your in the area I love love love this place !!

We're on limited budgets -- our favorite diner is the Country Club (on Cottman Ave), and by far my favorite restaurant is Las Margaritas (on Welsh right at the Roosevelt Boulevard). It's a little compact (the Southampton Las Margaritas is bigger and very nice), but there are a number of really-nice 2-to-4 person booths, as well as tables for larger parties. The bar (separated by a tall wall) looks to be excellent (I don't use bars) and very popular -- the dining area has areas great for couples and others great for families. Not brightly lighted, it has a really nice atmosphere (Southampton's is more brightly lit). --- I like to get the "Mexican Flag" dinner, as it is Huge and really tasty! --- I come to Las Margaritas when I can (I'm afraid that my wife's favorite is Asian cuisine). --- NOTE: Food is NOT too spicy. Those from our West will want to ask for more spiciness.

Our lunch time appetite for Mexican food was fulfilled @ Las Margaritas.Restaurant was clean and food was very good. Not all dishes are spicy but every dish I've tasted was great.Staff was friendly and prices are easy on your wallet. My only criticism is the noise level when place is busy, otherwise no complaints.

Hello my name is Idris Walker and my wife and i experienced thismagnificent restaurant today. I must say it was favorable and fabulous. When I arrived I made our host aware that we were doing a review and they were excited and served us well. Thank you Las Margaritas for allowing us to dine with you all. I will definitely be back.

The staff are always nice and do a great job of taking care of folks. Pros: - Great selection of food and drinks - clean - friendly - affordable Cons: - none i could find

We've been going to this restaurant for many years and even though the food and service is good, the atmosphere has worsened. It is ridiculous how loud it is, and dissapointing that the manager cares more about profits than the wellbeing of his customers. It was brought to his attention that the neighboring table was being obnoxiously loud, to which he responded, "They're paying customers. I can't tell them anything." But weren't we paying customers too? I advise you to go for lunch when there are less people in the restaurant.

the place is nice. Its always loud in the dining area and that's because its small. Food always comes out hot and the staff is always nice. Only negative thing which doesn't take away from there service is, they close early 10PM. The bar stays open late, but I never go after 10PM so I couldn't tell you afterwards. Best days to go are Tues or Wed and if you like martinis they are the BEST

My wife and I read the reviews and decided to venture out. It's a restaurant and bar with a lively crowd. Celebrating a birthday or night out with the girls or fellas?! Well, this is the place. The tortillas chips are served warm. Our server was courteous and efficient. If there's a downside, it's that the initial bill was about three cents more. Not a problem but when I received the final receipt, it now appeared to be 35 cents more. Alas, a bit discerning even though the food was good and the drinks were great.

When we get the craving for Mexican fare, we head to Las Margaritas. The prices are reasonable and the food is great. There are daily specials. The margaritas are the best around!

One of the best meals I ever had. Try the chicken nachos you'll love them. Have yet to a bad meal there. And the drinks seal the deal!!!! Great food and value. Very friendly severs.

Started with a margarita guacamole dip, salsa & chips. My first visit, so the Grande Special was ordered. A variety plate with chalupa, chile relleno, chicken taco, beef enchilada and tamal served with Mexican rice & refried beans. No regrets here. Full of flavor, freshness & absolutely too much for one person. Jalisco special was the other pick 1 chicken burrito 1 beef enchilada. 1 word to describe "yum" , waitress presented fried ice cream bowl loaded with whip cream, candle & a Happy Birthday song for a surprise mini celebration. Superb service, delicious food @ affordable prices.

I went to Las Margaritas to meet a friend for drinks, and the margaritas were really good. Then I ordered a burrito, and that was really good as well. I guess I was kind of suprised that a chain Mexican restaurant in a strip mall could have such good food and drinks. You can't judge a book by it's cover!

We are frequent visitors and my daughter selected this place for his birthhday. Immediately when we are seated we are served tortillas with a specially prepared fresh salsa dipm As usual, the portions are so huge that we bring leftovers home. The sizzling chicken, beef, and chicken fajitas cazueladas are more than enough for two people. We ordered the salmon in a tequila/lemony sauce that was tasty and included two big pieces of salmon. The staff are very attentive and friendly and I appreciate that not only did they sing Happy B-Day to my son, but made the experience very special with a candlelit flan. It is such a popular place that it might get a bit crowded during certain hours; however, the food, service and reasonable prices are definitively worth any wait.

I used to LOVE this place. But it's not big enough to accommodate the amount of people they "stuff" into this place. If you go on a week night or weekend you are going to wait 45 mins or more even if they tell you 20 mins. And if you tell them I'm not staying they will say ok and let you walk out bc they know there's 5 more people behind you. When the restaurant is crowded they will hurry your dinner and try and get you out as soon as they can. OR you won't find ur waitress/waiter for ever! I prefer the Las Margaritas on 2nd Street pike. It's much bigger and the staff treats their customers better.

If you like mexican food this is the place. Great food, drinks, great prices large portions.

I ate there as recently as last week and as usual service and food were excellent. I have patronized this place since it opened and I still think it is the best Mexican restaurant around. The prices are very reasonable too. It is loud, but that has never bothered me.

Don't go to this Restaurant under any circumstances! It took forever to get a table, and the waiting staff were arrogant and rude. We ordered seafood, and several of us were ill with diahrea and food poisoning after eating it. It also tasted terrible, like it had been cooked several days previously and warmed up. I don't know why the health and safety inspectors don't close this place down! The drinks were also over priced, and watered down. When the dancing started in the evening, the place was over crowded. When we were there, we saw the three Polish Doormen assaulting a gentlemen and beating him up. The Doormen were extremely violent and aggressive and my girlfriend did not feel safe in there, and I must admit neither did I. This is truly the WORST place I have EVER been. It should be shut down !

Went on a Thursday night, a little crowded. Didn't wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. Server was quick to greet us and efficient. Food was amazing. Margaritas were tasty. Good food and good prices.

Expansive menu, good drinks, attentive staff and good food. Large family group (11) and they were able to seat us in 20 minutes on a Saturday night. Main complaint is the noise level, high. I will be back because I enjoyed the food

Just moved in the neighborhood and was looking for a place to eat that wasn't fast food so we decided on going here. Plus heard they had great happy hour margaritas. Which in fact were only being served at the bar so you couldn't enjoy happy hour drink specials from a table and we couldn't order them at the bar and bring to our table. Food was average but server was good.

Good food, friendly service, nice decor are all important. When you can get all this at a great price you walk away feeling good. I would recommend this place to anyone and visit regularly. There is a great menu to pick from, but for someone who wants to try a few things go for the combo. Dinner prices are reasonable and you can get almost the same size portions for lunch at an incredible discount. A must stop for lunch if you are a visitor to NE Philadelphia, and a place to stop regularly if you are a native.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Philly. Great service, great food, awesome Margaritas!! Big menu, something for everyone. Tableside Guacamole! Authentic, fresh food. Old-world decor. Can get pretty noisy, but always a great meal.

By far the best margaritas I had in a long time. I had a blood orange frozen Margarita, my husband had a gold frozen Margarita and then we had one that we shared that wasn't frozen. All were great and mix well. The food was beyond what I expected. Told my husband I was willing to travel the 3 hours from long island to Philly every couple of months. I had a superior burrito. It was covered with a sauce that was great. The chicken was cook well and was moist and juicy. The rice was amazing. My husband had the tequila salmon which he enjoyed as well. The only down fall was the guacamole. Which I'm not understanding with the rest of their food being so flavorful why was the guacamole so plain. My 8 yr old decided to squeeze the line from our plates into it and added salt and pepper, which made it a little bit better. We will definitely be back in the near future.

This restaurant is horrible.........bottom line. Many other reviews here say the service is slow. For us it practically did not exist. Honestly, the food is just way over priced Taco Bell, with just a larger menu. The Margaritas are all drink mix.......almost no alcohol. And the "manager", who is actually the owner, of the Southampton location is completely arrogant, unhelpful, and unprofessional. It all starts at the top, and when the top is as low as it gets, what would one expect? I have no idea how a place like this is in business.

The menu is extensive, food is tasty, you get generous portions at decent prices. Three in our party of five ordered the enchiladas supreme dish that included one each chicken, beef, cheese & bean enchiladas all for $11.50. All five if us had enough food left over to take home. My only issue is that the restaurant is small. Even though this time we where there for lunch and did not have to wait to be seated, dinner time can be crowded because it is a popular place. It would be nice if the space could be enlarged. But, even though it is small, I will definitely go back.

Friends always raved about this place so we tried it and we LOVED IT! Beautiful dining rooms and bar, Great food, great drinks, great service. Mariachi band on Thursday nights very talented and funny; food was superb and large-portioned: fish tacos were so tender and delicioius, enchiladas and home made guacamole cant' be beat. We were just in Mexico and the food here was better. With many of the diners being of Latin descent that told us that it was spot on. The other Mexican restuarants in this area cannot compare in the least -- and this place is cheaper with a huge menu.

Stopped in for lunch on a saturday. The place was pretty empty but took 10 minutes for our waitress to come over to get our drink order. Then she goes away and we had to call on someone else to get our waitress to take our order, it was kind of ridiculous. We had a chicken fajita and a shrimp, scallops, and real crab meat fajita. The food was ok, guacomole wasn't that good either, we had far better before. Food was ok and service was bad, that's our overall experience.

I got enchiladas pablanos (?) and a spinach/cheese quesadilla. The food came very quickly, and it was pretty good. I don't know that I would get the enchiladas again. I wasn't a huge fan of the cheese enchilada or the mole sauce, and one of the hot sauces on the table had artificial food coloring and a ton of additives in it. The bean and chicken enchiladas were good, and so we're the rice and veggies. I really liked the spinach and cheese quesadilla. Despite the service being super speedy, we had 3-4 different people come to the table. Sometimes the person was friendly, and other times they weren't. I would probably try this place again, but I don't know that I would recommend it to a friend.

Visited here after a few months, fresh, authentic food. Good service. Great margaritas!! Can get crowded and it is usually pretty loud, but worth it!

This location of Las Margaritas is a fun place to eat - great food, great service. It can get loud, especially on weekends - and even in the restaurant area, the staff doesn't do much to control the volume. There is also a line (seriously) out the door Thurs-Sat nights, and sometimes on weekdays. Go early to put your name in.

This is a great spot for Mexican food. The service is fast and the food is great. The waitstaff sings for birthdays and they gave my husband a complimentary shot of tequila. There is usually a wait at dinner time but it moves pretty fast. They do not take reservations.

There is usually a coupon available for this restaurant, the "sister" of the Welsh Road restaurant of the same name, same owner. Coming to the restaurant with a half price chicken fajita dinner coupon, we were told that the coupon would not be accepted. We spoke to the owner, a very rude and condescending man who reacted as if he couldn't care whether we stayed or left. We understood from reliable sources that he decided the morning we came for dinner to no longer honor the half price fajita advertised coupon...even though the expire date was more than 3 weeks away [we arrived Oct.25, coupon expires Nov.17.] This restaurant is usually very busy, this night it was not as crowded as we usually see. We stayed and had dinner, also not the high quality it used to be. Chicken was overcooked and hard. Lots of food, but not the best taste or quality they used to have here. Due to the lack of concern for honesty and customer respect, I would not return to the restaurant again due to poor customer relations. By the way, the owner, Victor, ls the manager. He should know better.

Hanging with girls and came here for a quick bite. Didn't think our order would take all night. The menu said the items would take 15- 20 minutes to arrive. After waiting 40 minute we inquired if our server was still alive. The food came to the table looking not so fresh and it was cold. And there were some crazy excuses that we all were told. No manager on site?!?! That really is a shame. Poor service and they'll add a tip...way to stand behind your name.

delicious real mexican food chicken nachos recommended wait staff is friendly and welcoming drinks are amazing from beers to margritas

I have eaten at Las Margaritas several times. Their margaritas are amazing. I love that you can choose your size. The decor is gorgeous and really adds to the ambiance. The food is authentic, however, could use some additional spices. Overall, great experience each time.

The food was great, we had a very friendly and funny waiter. The price was affordable. Atmosphere very calming and decorative.

The best margaritas in the area when it comes to variety , and sizes ....order grande size and definately take a cab home or get a ride!!! Hahaha Food not a fan but not bad.....I guess if you rally like mexican food you will love it.... . We come here just for drinks every now and than.

Last nite girlfriends and I went there for dinner and drinks to catch up on each others lives. The place was packed for a Thursday nite at 8:30PM. The chatter noise gave me a headache, really couldn't hear my friends talking. The bar stools were cool, the bartender was rude, my margarita tasted like it had no alcohol in it - food was good but our waiter was rude also. Prices were reasonable for our meals.

I've been to the restaurant several times and have never been disappointed with the food. It is so good. Only downside is that there is usually a wait because it is so good.. I wish the restaurant was a little bigger to accommodate more people

7 of us ate delicious combo meals (enchiladas, burritos and quesadillas were awesome) and drank a pitcher of margaritas. Bill including tip was under 120. We will definitely return

The bar is good, the bartenders are nice but the food is not that good!! they have no one to compete with so they don't have to keep up the quality of the meals! i go there for the bar only

Stopped in for Lunch. The place appeared to be very popular as it was packed. The Lunch menu was well priced, and very tasty. Would defiantly go back again for lunch or dinner.

At first I was a bit apprehensive about dining in a Mexican restaurant in a strip mall, however, I learned that appearance means nothing. First, the place was packed -- always a good sign. Full bar with awesome drink specials. Second, the hostess was true to her word with how soon we would be seated. Shortly afterward, we were greeted by someone who brought us awesome homemade tortilla chips with homemade salsa. (Chips and salsa typically win me over). The actual meals were so ... abundant. I really had no clue how big our meals would be. And not only were they big, but they were delicious AND authentic. I had the chicken fajitas, which came with the normal fixings -- lettuce, guacamole, sour cream and shredded cheese. The chicken came on a hot sizzling pan with mixed bell peppers and onions. Warm flour tortillas were served in a plastic dish with a lid. I opted for no beans and was served enough rice to last me a few days. The service was incredible and quick -- even the manager stopped at our table to check on us.

I visit Las Margaritas a few times a year and always have a good meal. Their San Jose Special is delicious and I'm addicted to their cheese dip and guacamole dip. I also recommend the chicken taco salad.

No need to head downtown to the expensive/overrated Mexican restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised when our food arrived. I had been here several times before for Margaritas, which by the way are incredible. But this was my first time trying the food. Everything we ordered was delicious, I would especially recommend you try the Mexican Shrimp Soup and the Salmon Burrito called the Cancun Special. Yes, it can get crowded and loud on weekends but that just adds to the experience. It is a fun place and great for kids too. TIP: You can mix Margarita flavors to create your own unique drink.

This is a great place for a family gathering. The atmosphere is festive and very child friendly! The expansive menu offers something for everyone -- even picky kids can choose macaroni and cheese off of the children's menu. The lunch combos are priced to fit your budget. Not only is the food delicious but also plentiful -- good thing they have doggie bags. Wait staff is efficient and patient and we appreciated the free refills on beverages. A great surprise was the complimentary desert that fed the whole table -- along with the staff singing, "Feliz Cumpelanos". Our bill with tax, tip and a few cocktails for a family of nine was $68 -- and everyone left happy and satisfied!

We've eaten at both locations, Southampton, after it opened, Welsh Rd prior to that. The food used to be very good, the wait staff was and is professional and friendly, but, they don't cook or choose ingredients. I'm not sure if these establishments have changed owners, or what. The quality is poor, cold meals, understaffed, unappetizing look and taste. What has happened to this once top notch restaurant? I cannot even rate them as mediocre any long. They are now between bad and terrible. I've also seen others complain about the noise level in Southampton, I couldn't hear my waitress over the noise! I will not be back.

I can tell you that truthfully there has not ever been a time this restaurant has let me down. It's close, delicious, fair-priced and overall a great place. The wait can be long so be prepared . The margaritas especially frozen are heavy on the alcohol but worth every penny ! The fajitas are my favorite with chicken, steak, shrimp, chorizo and great vegetables. The salsa alone is fresh and perfect . Try anything and add the refried beans and rice. This is my favorite Mexican place. Yum all around. Try it you won't be sorry .

Due to an error on the restaurant's website, my husband inadvertently gave me the phone number for the Welsh Rd. location instead of the Southampton location. When I arrived at the Southampton location I was told the order was still being prepared. I was a little late getting to the restaurant so I expected the order to be waiting, but okay, no problem. I sat and waited for about 15 minutes and the order was brought out. Since I live 45 minutes away I wanted to check the order before I left and none of the food was what I ordered. When I questioned this I was told that the order was the only pickup order they'd received, and was I sure I didn't order from the Welsh Rd. location? The hostess confirmed that the phone number I called was in fact the other restaurant's and gave me directions there. Fifteen minutes later I arrived, told them I had an order for pickup, and asked to speak to the manager. A guy of about 25 (although his retainer made him look about 19) came out and I told him that the phone number on the website's Southampton menu was wrong. I told him how the mistake was uncovered at the other location. I was being decent about it because stuff happens, whatever. He couldn't have looked more bored with me and my story, and then the phone in his pocket rang and he cut me off in mid-sentence to answer it. The phone wasn't a cell phone so it was obviously the restaurant phone and there were several workers nearby, including the hostess and a guy behind the cash register right next to us. As he began talking I said, "Are you serious? Did you seriously just answer the phone in the middle of my sentence?" So he quickly hangs up (I'm pretty sure it was a personal call) and says, "Well, I don't know how that could have happened. How did the other location know what you ordered?" This made no sense to me as I had just told him that the other location only received one pickup order so of course they thought it was for the person who came to pick it up, and I told him that. This just furthered my hunch that the manager was not interested in or listening to anything I had to say. I told him he may have misunderstood and I told him again how it went down at the other location. He said, "No, I understand. They should have asked you what you ordered. We always ask what the customer ordered when they come to pick up their order here." And he said it like it was my fault. It's comical in hindsight because the guy was such a dummy but at the time I was at the end of my rope. I told him what LM employees do or don't do isn't under my control and it didn't matter anyway - the point was that the website was wrong and should be fixed so this doesn't happen to someone else. I was pretty exasperated because all I wanted in the first place was a thank you for letting us know, we'll fix it, here's my money, give me my food, goodbye. I knew my frustration was written all over my face and then he did it. He smiled at me. Just ask my teenager what happens when I'm PO'd and he smiles at me. I just lost it. I asked him if he thought all of this was funny, because I certainly didn't, and if my food wasn't already cold when I walked in it probably was now. So he very slowly walks over to where the food is and says, "We can make it again for you." I said I wasn't waiting another 20 minutes and to just give it to me. He said he'd give it to me for free and I told him I didn't want it for free, I just want the website fixed! So we stood there staring at each in a literal Mexican standoff, and then I shook my head, grabbed the bag out of his hand, and walked out. The food was good and if I ever eat at LM again you can bet the house that I'll be doing it at the Southampton location. We ordered beef fajitas (wouldn't order these again as the meat was not at all seasoned), chile relleno (very good), tacos (very good), and steak burrito (also very good). They provided lots of sides like guacamole, sour cream, refried beans, and pico. The order was well packed and they didn't skimp. Would have given 4 stars based on the food and interaction with the hostesses at both locations, but that manager...yikes.

Was as close to being in mexico I've had since i moved away from New Mexico in a long time. Will be back.

The decor and food are simple. The drinks are average. There is a reasonable selection of tequila. They have parking. Not much else is open in the strip mall they are in. Server was pleasant and efficient. My son wanted to go there for his birthday. Then he wouldn't allow me to request a birthday cake and singing. Party pooper. They have a large menu but honestly everything here tasts the same some how. Its just ok. It was 90. For dinner for 3.

Don't let the fact that it is in a shopping center fool you - I live 2 blocks from here, and I must say that Las Marg is the BEST Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few over the years. Prices are reasonable, portions are large, food is excellent (try the "ultimate nachos" - fantastic!) Oh and their margaritas are too good to be true.......frozen ones are best! Yes it is always packed but this is a very good sign.....try it, you'll love it!

Good food, a little pricey, but something for everyone from grandkids to seniors. We were fortunate to arrive for 1/2 price fajita night, which helped. Extensive menu so grandkids who are still in the chicken-nugget stage of fine dining, could get what they wanted, and so could we. Margaritas were fairly good. Food generally was good although not authentic. The typical Mexican American food, heavy on the cheese, that is prevalent in most restaurants. A couple of things that need improving: our server sat us in a booth with a puddle of catsup? On the seat. We asked to move because of it, but they never cleaned it up.The next patrons got red goo on their pants as well. Still no,clean up. You can guess what happened the third time! Our fajitas were good, but even with the huge amount in our fajitas for two combination, we had 3 tortillas. We asked for more and got 3 more. Odd. Tip: order the guacamole to be made at your table! Delicious and the grandkids were enthralled and very impressed.

The best time to go is LUNCH- they have 4.99 specials, and it's quiet. Go on a Sat or Fri night and your head will spin. They seat people too close together and it's extremely loud. The food, however, is awesome and they have a huge variety. Some of the waiters aren't very friendly but I think it's because they don't speak English. This place is WAY better than the Mexican chains- great fried ice cream. LOVE the chicken quesadillas.

Love this place. Always busy but, with the wait. Nothing o the menu is ever disappointing. Staff are efficient.

One of the best Mexican places in Northeast Philly. Maybe even in the city. I would prefer a way more authentic cuisine. But in a major city in the northeast this place is really worth it.

Packed on Friday, yet only waited 15-20 min ,had a drink at the bar which had a lot of alcohol in it. Very friendly staff, food was hot, delicious and good portions. Menu is very varied, and descriptions accurate. Will go again soon.

I went for happy hour and the margaritas was soooo good. After 4 rounds of drinks I went to the resturant part and had a steak burrito. That was unbelievable good. The atmosphere was nice. Give them a try. I'll be returning back

2nd street pike location food was rather tastless, a dipping sauce should be served with the poppers, chicken was tough and rubbery and the lime rice was by no means seasoned as per menu. The highlight of the meal was the banana desert

My daughter and I waited for 30 on Saturday for a table, but once we were seated the service was quick and friendly. The menu is large and has a lot of items for kids and picky eaters. The table across from us had "tableside" guacamole prepared fresh for them. I had a combo dinner which was huge and could serve 3 people, so I had plenty of leftovers. Prices are reasonable and overall I have no complaints about my meal or service. I used to go to this restaurant over a decade ago and on Thursdays they used to have a live mariachi band, that was wonderful. However, that was a long time ago and I don't know if they still have entertainment.

Great food and great drinks, never a long wait to be seated, endless chips and salsa, very attentive Waiters and a very festive atmosphere always a great meal for a great price I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.

Really like this place. Food is good. Large portions. Ice cold beer. Friendly employees. Small bar if you want a drink while waiting to be seated.

The place was very busy but the food was average. The bartender was a 1 on the scale. The waiter was an 8.

Any plate you get here it's a great choice. Waitress on point and kind all my respect to them. Great food for a cheap price, highly recommended!!!

If you love Mexican food, I urge you to go elsewhere. Chile Rellenos were soggy and when opened a thin yellow liquid (should actually be cheese but this was something very different) poured out. Probably the worst Rellenos I've ever had! Pasty re-fried beans and bland rice accompanied. Dish was served with 3 rubbery tortillas on the side. My partner's meal (3 choice combo) included one of the same awful Chile Rellenos, a tamale with hamburger that was supposed to be pork, and a passable enchilada. Quantity rules here but this was some of the worst Mexican food I've had in the area and there are so many really good choices. Drinks were a disappointment as well. Margarita ($5) was a glass of ice filled with a margarita mix that seemed devoid of tequila. A small draft Dos Equus beer ($4) was totally flat. The decibel level was astonishing and the acoustics were such that I could plainly hear a group of 6 at the far corner of the room...30-40 ft. away! Amazed at how many people were there on a Wednesday evening after 7pm. and watched plate after plate loaded with really bad Mexican food emerge from the kitchen. If you value quantity you'll find it here...at a reasonable price. But if you love Mexican food, steer clear and try some authentic and well-done dishes elsewhere!

The Food The authentic Mexican menu is on point. This spot has the most amazing salsa I've ever tasted.. nothing compares. We get full on the chips and salsa alone. I personally like the Pollo a la Mexicana (Mexican Chicken), but I suggest trying something new every time you go. Yum! They also have American food for that person in your group who doesn't like Mexican (their loss!), as well as a full kids menu. The Drinks The name says it all... Margaritas is what they're about and they are AWESOME. From variety to taste, they hit the nail on the head. The Atmosphere True Mexican atmosphere and decor, complete with Spanish-speaking wait staff and Mexican music (soft and jazzy). The Location This restaurant is located within a prime shopping center at Welsh and the Roosevelt Blvd.. Improvements Their social media foot print.. I can't seem to find anything official and it's definitely not being updated.. and no interaction that I can find. The size of the restaurant - the seating feels a little cramped as well as long wait times on weekends... this restaurant is so popular that it's exploding at it's seams!

The absolute best veggie fajitas I have ever had. The veggies included your typical mushrooms, onions, and pepper. But what made it sooo much better is the cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. Plus the refried brand were actually vegetarian! Usually I'm stuck getting black beans whether I like it or not. Margaritas are very good too. Best part is the price! Huge portion for $6.75!! Wish there was one of these in CT

Best Mexican food I have ever eaten! The staff is always friendly and helpful when trying to make selections. You cannot pass on one of their margaritas- they are superb! We can't wait to visit again soon!
Good service and delicious food
My friend and I visited las margaritas on Welsh road on a Tuesday evening. The hostess seated us and it took awhile for someone to take our order. The hostess came back to apologize there was a misunderstanding with what server was assigned to us; she was very apologetic. Soon thereafter, we ordered margaritas and beer. Their chips with salsa is amazing! Dinner was delicious too! I got a beef taco and a chicken quesadilla. Food came out rather quickly. Server was attentive; he checked on us frequently...I love the mom and pop feel of this restaurant compared to a chain Mexican restaurant. I will definitely be back in the future!
