It was Resturant week in. Seattle and we leveraged their special 4 course menu with paired wines. The squash soup and chocolate dessert were magical. The main course of seafood risotto with scallops was excellent.. this romantic place is in Fremont and very worth a date night experience Enjoy the great service in a romantic setting !

Time to update as Le Coin continues to wow with delectable combinations. Go try the latest muscle prep with delicate flavors and a few veggies, i love it for a main dish (meant to be an app)! The scallops are perfectly crusted and also nestled into a delightful medly of flavors. Into beef? Try the tomahawk or the steak & frite! YUM!!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Le Coin!! Their food, quality, menu, ambiance and amazing customer service. My wife and I have frequented Le Coin a few times now and can honestly say it’s our favorite restaurant in Seattle. We especially love their brunch and they make their own apple fritters in house!! And hot sauce in house!!! The added outdoor seating is a nice touch as well. Highly recommend

Stopped in for brunch. At first we thought inside would be too noisy, but as there were no outside seats available, we gave it a try. We were wrong! It was actually just fine, we were able to talk comfortably. Tried the burger, the crab roll, and the croissant sandwich. All were fine. Probably liked the croissant sandwich the best. Not what we expected, it was smothered in cheese, and fairly flat, almost pressed, but tasted great. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with upscale cuisine. Charming PNW decor with somewhat challenging street parking (as it is in a residential neighborhood along Fremont). We opted out of the Chef's Counter Service (prix fixe) along the open kitchen because there were so many menu items that we wanted to try. Firstly, the entire staff were so nice and helpful. Katrina helped guide our food choices while Katie recommended an amazing yet different wine that perfectly suited our palate. Bread service w added fois gras was excellent! Nice choice of breads (yummy honey butter & tumeric onions) paired nicely with rich velvety fois gras. Steak tartare was well-seasoned and plated as an appetizer. Seared octopus was very tender and a generous portion. The sweetbreads was the standout appetizer--even loved by my reluctant wife! Following these hearty appetizers, we decided to share the foraged mushroom dish (on their vegetarian menu) which was the best mushroom dish we have ever had. The cabbage and buttery mashed potatoes were a delicious bed for the tasty mushrooms! The lemon tart, port flight and sauterne were a delightfully sweet ending to our meal. This was one of our best meals in Seattle! A highly recommend--make your reservation now! We will definitely return.

Excellent reviews and close proximity to this French restaurant in the Upper Fremont neighborhood brought us here for an early dinner at 5:30 p.m. on a weekday. Though outside seating was available, we chose to sit at one of the booths inside because of the cool day. The pleasant, casual room also offers tables and stools at a counter. A few customers sat at tables and appeared to be participating in the restaurant’s Happy Hour. We received menus immediately but had at least a 10-minute wait before our order was taken. When the waiter brought my husband iced tea, it was a strange concoction and not what he had ordered. With no sign of our waiter for a while, my husband had to flag down another employee to request what he wanted. Our food order consisted of a beet salad to share, a medium-rare burger with fries for my husband and grilled salmon for me. The salad came quickly with ample beets but a tiny amount of goat cheese and just a few grains of the advertised pecans. Our waiter never asked about the salad until he cleared the plates. No refill of the tea was offered, so my husband had to request one. About 30 minutes later, the burger arrived way over-salted and extremely well done. Many of the fries were burned. My salmon came over cooked and over salted. The vegetables that came with it were a soggy mess. We briefly considered sending everything back but could not bear the thought of sitting in the booth much longer. It had no cushion and the hard wood was most uncomfortable. So we ate what we could and left after a 75-minute stay and a $62 bill before tax and tip.

A wonderful, enjoyable, meal was had by all of our party. All the little plates were delicious, the bottle of wine was perfect and not overly pricey. The service was perfect, and the room quiet enough to hear each other talk. We will revisit this eatery.

Had a great brunch at Le Coin. The food is incredible. Both owners greeted us and asked us how the food and service was. Service was great. Busy place but you can see why. Highly recommend.

Our brunch was asi asi. Meh. ok. We asked for fizzy water. Were unceremoniously handed two opened bottles for two of us for some strange reason. Croque madame was uninspiring. Bread pudding French toast was heavy but flavorful. It was topped with cold hard butter. Like I said MEH

We had previously had brunch at Le Coin and it was quite good. Dinner was an utter disappointment. Nice night so sat outside. Tables are a bit wobbly on the uneven sidewalk, but they work. Our server seemed less than thrilled to be working. We ordered bread that came with Strawberry butter - a bit odd, but "to each his own." We then had the leaf salad that was fine. Then a considerable wait. Finally received our mains. My wife had a "seafood" linguini that was very strange. A few pieces of seafood, as in “a” mussel and “a” shrimp, in a sauce of uni (sea urchin) with pickles and fennel. It resulted in a strange combination that didn’t work. I ordered lamb chops. They were small and tough and barely edible. We decided to share a dessert and ordered Berries with Scone Crumble. It arrived in a table spoon sized divot in the center of plate with several blueberries, a couple black berries, perhaps one strawberry cut in pieces. The scone appeared to be crumbs from left over scones, literally a few crumbs. The waiter dropped our bill on the table and never asked about anything we were served. Very disappointing evening.

Wanted to update a review on Le Coin, reviewed originally about a year ago. Continues to be one of my favorites in Seattle. Great neighborhood vibe, plenty of street parking on surrounding neighborhood streets, city corner that's a little oasis! 6 people at our table so we ordered many different things, all were perfect. Love the casual friendly service which is attentive without being intrusive. Ended up with two orders of the mussels SO GOOD! Fresh oysters AMAZING! Salmon and Tomahawk entrees were so delicious! If you haven't tried it, go and enjoy!

The thing I love about restaurant week is getting to try a restaurant that is on the expensive side for a reasonable price. This restaurant is a perfect example of that. The limited restaurant week menu was a nice mix of choices. We had the lamb and the halibut and both were very good. The tuna appetizer and the baby kale salad were also good. The desserts were a nice finish - we had the chocolate and also the ice cream. I am not sure that I would choose this place again (due primarily to the cost), but I am very glad that we got a chance to sample their offerings. The service was laid back and friendly as well.

Lovely place to have dinner with friends,we were able to talk, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the food was quite delicious. The service was attentive but not over the top, just as I like it. Also a nice bottle of wine bottle of wine for a reasonable price. There was nothing I didn't like about this restaurant.

We were glad to see a good quality restaurant replace Roux. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. Great drinks. Great food. Great service. The sweetbreads and the pork chop are two of our favorites. Delicious.

Quaint, quiet, artsy little restaurant with a high end flare to it is what I would describe this place as in a review. We sat at the front table and had a floor to ceiling window view of the street activity in a cute little neighborhood. Our waiter was EXCELLENT, as in off the scale, including bringing a benedryl when one of our table had a slight nut reaction to something. Highly recommended the Papardelle dish (vegetarian), the steaks are huge and were touted as delicious by our table and the next, the cheese plate was FABULOUS including honey comb as a side, and the burgers were stated to be scrumptious. The burgers are seasoned very differently and my mother (77 years old), who is more of a traditionalist in her food, was not crazy about the seasoning whereas another member of our party loved it. The restaurant even arranged a special request for the happy hour lamb chop small plate for my mom- super impressive and my mom LOVED the chop (a 3pm-5pm happy hour special). The chocolate pearl and huckleberry dessert was fabulous; we were not as crazy about the lemon meringue tart. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED RESTAURANT.

Group of four had a Sunday brunch. French press coffee, mimosa and hot tea was a great start with French pastries and beignets. Eggs benedict, fried chicken and waffle pork belly sandwich, and a cassoulet rounded out our orders. Potatoes were nicely browned with warm potato filling. Plenty to eat, dinner menu locks very intriguing .

This restaurant poses a challenge to review. We thought it was French but it turned out to be fusion cuisine with some hints of pate, soup l'oignon, and French bread. The soup and dessert was actually better than the scantily-clad lamb cassoulet and the clumps of liver atop crunchy bread. I had a forgettable glass of Cabernet. The service overall was good, but with a hint of robot rhythm with repeated requests about how the food was? For some reason, I find these predictable interruptions to be annoying in their frequency. Parking was good. Prices a bit high.

Enjoyable meal with friends. Nicely presented dishes, tasty well prepared, friendly staff, nice atmosphere ... I agree that the booths need cushions!! A little on the expensive side in my opinion.

This is the place that replaced our favorite- Roux and it’s clearly going to be a favorite. Hit happy hour last night and were treated by a lovely breeze of air conditioning- it’s been hot in Seattle so that was nice. Pleasant changes to tune up a nice space, partner had a Manhattan and I had a martini - simple and easy to screw up and both perfect. Lots of wines by the glass, new menu looked amply and interesting/ picked beet salad, sweetbreads and ravioli - well prepared, nicely presented. We will be back to dig in to the rest of the menu. Give it a try, you will like it, highly recommended.

Best tomahawk in town! Delicious food, great service and excellent drinks!! This restaurant provides a great experience from the appetizers to the desserts!

Met a friend here for dinner and it was amazing. From the outside it’s a subtle neighborhood place. Inside decor is nice and they have a full bar with seating if you are dining alone. Staff is excellent and so is the service. Our table by the window was perfect. Get the bread service for sure as it is a local bakery and to die for. We both had fish and both were cooked perfectly. Wine prices are super fair with a nice selection.

New restaurant, attentive staff, and most of all, delicious food at a very attractive price. Liked it so much that we returned the next evening for an encore.

Had such an incredible meal, started with some of the freshest oyster, chilled and briny...little gems of perfection. The steak came cooked exactly as I ordered and with Foie Gras that made me want another order. Such a warm and comfortable place...I will be back.

Incredible food and service. Sit at the chef’s counter and converse with the extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Sweetbreads - delicious. Salmon tartare - outstanding. The pork chop was tender and so flavorful. Cooked perfectly by the talented chef. Ravioli were perfectly al dente and soooo yummy. DO NOT forget the bread service. Butter preserves were to die for. Woke up wanting some for breakfast! Run here before you can’t get a reservation!

We went here without any expectations. We ordered the octopus, terrine, and a few other random dishes like meatballs, and hericot verts with beans. Everything was delicious! The waitress explained everything on the menu and was very good at recommendations. There were some amazing flavors that we couldn't point out and she explained the cooking process. Overall, a highly recommended place.

Knowing very little about Le Coin, we did their New Year's Eve dinner for take out. The pricing was better than most other holiday set take out dinners. The food was absolutely delicious, well worth the drive to Fremont. We began with a lush seafood bisque, a tantalizing start with a light, but flavorful taste. Truffle Agnolotti pasta was certainly al dente, delicious, but I wanted more truffle. Please bathe me in truffles. A luxury at any dinner is Beef Wellington, maybe old school, but who cares. Of course a gravy sauce is traditional, but on the side, so the pastry stays crisp. Le Coin's Beef Wellington was wonderful. Next in this culinary marathon were scallops, very good, but I enjoy my scallops with a bit more sweetness. Dessert was very French, more a work of art than a humongous American dessert fit for a herd of Buffalos. The Chocolate Cremeux was a perfect ending. All this for $150! That was culinary larceny, and I was a damn happy thief. Le Coin, you done well. Useful Funny Cool

Lots of options for vegetarian and gluten-free people and omnivores alike. Impressive local ingredients and tastes with all the presentation, attention to detail and sauces of France. Be prepared to pay extra. Our meal on 2 salads, a soup and single entree was 92.00 without wine.

I was shocked to see that they serve foie gras despite the horrific cruelty to produce it. There really is no need to have this on a menu. Plenty of businesses thrive without it.

Take a culinary trip to France at this lovely little place tucked into a bustling corner of Freemont. Aptly named, Le Coin, feels like those sweet cafes hidden away on little corners amidst busy streets of Europe. Escape from a hectic day, sipping cafe au lait and nibbling on delectable cuisine. Don't expect fussy food here, but expect both fresh food prepared with care and purposeful variety as well as an ample bar. Whether it's grilled octopus, vegetables with Herbs de Provence (oh take me back to Marseille!) or simply the amazing burger and pommes frites, worth a little voyage to Freemont! If you don't want to dine on the patio (well heated and open air), there are ample options for take away.

We had a pleasant dinner at Le Coin. We arrived a half-hour before our reservation and were seated right away at a two-top by the window. We started with drinks - champagne for me and a vesper for my mate. Next starters - albacore crudo and the leafy green salad, both nice presented. Our main courses were the halibut and the New York steak. The halibut was a little dry but otherwise tasty. The steak was done exactly to order. The service was attentive without hovering. Le Coin is casual and the interior has a retro bistro look. The indoor sound level is "lively", but we were able to converse without shouting. Le Coin also has an outdoor seating area. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will be back.

We found this restaurant on the Tock App. We were very happy with our meal and service. They were packed last Saturday and we had to wait 10min past our reservation (not bad, we just went for a walk). The Host was very nice and apologized for the wait. Drinks were spot on. Mine: Vodka, soda, lime wedge, 1 splash bitters. Wife: Cab. Sauv then Red Blend. Waitress was excellent, engaging and attentive. The host that helped us would come around and engage us in conversation. Meal: Amuse Bouche - Foie Torchon on flatbread, Apps: 12 oysters, Foie Gras, Tempura crusted Yam. Mains: Tagliatelle with Leek / Legumes with Duck Confit and Foie Torchon. Dessert was home made chocolate with ice cream and crisps. Everything on the evening was perfect. Portions are on the larger side (nice for a french restaurant). Prices are very reasonable. Five stars. (don't know why Seattle times gave this place 2 stars - just wrong). FYI - Our favorites in Seattle: Terra Plata, Spinasse, Carlisle Room, Lark, How to Cook a Wolf, Kashiba.

This is nice little neighborhood restaurant to should appeal to almost all tastes. The kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant and the seats around the kitchen. Mostly booths, that need cushions! Staff is engaging, but need to ensure that they are on top of their game, keeping the wine refreshed, inquiring about the quality of the food served. My wife ordered Sable Fish, which she loves and it was underdone, but I had to get the server's attention to advise. She changed to Salmon and almost the same result, not quite finished. My suggestion to our waiter, who was fine, but could be great, would be to make the connection with the patrons and keep it while your customers are at the table.Seats at the table very hard and we were in the last booth before the back area and had to wear our coats throughout the meal.

What a gem in Seattle! After spending 5 weeks in Paris, this restaurant qualifies as on par with some of the better restaurants there. We ordered the steak with frites and the parpedelle after the mixed greens. The salad was very nice, a light dressing with pine nuts and parm cheese. Steak was done perfectly (med-rare) and the pasta spectacular! A work of art and such flavors! On the steak was a nice topping of an herbed butter spread and a reduction sauce on the plate. The frites are three times fried, absolutely perfect. The pasta almost too beautiful to eat. Dessert was the chocolate with huckleberry ice cream, the best I have tasted. Chocolate pearls perfect! Go to this restaurant!! You will have a great meal, lots for every taste on the menu. Highly recommended.

Few remember the Fremont District in the older days (before, say, the 1990's.) It was a down on it's luck district where garbage trucks stayed overnight and car lots held repossessed cars and parking violators. A highlight of that era was the Buckaroo Tavern which traced its roots to the 1930's. Restaurant Le Coin is in this same building and the very successful Restaurant Roux preceded it. We were impressed with the professional but relaxed service and the excellent food. I had the Striploin and my wife had the Sable Fish both excellent. We shared a tomato salad to start. The wines by the glass had a memorable Lamelson Oregon Pinot Noir.... really outstanding.

Came here during a tasting event and sampled several dishes. Overall, finished full and satisfied, but I don't recall raving about it afterwards. Cocktails were good. Appetizers of escargot beignet (a bit bready), oysters (yum) and grilled carrots (yummm) started us off. Sockeye salmon and pork cheeks for main dishes were pretty good. All in all satisfactory and tasty. I think if you're closeby (Le Coin is in Fremont), this place is worth a try.

At the last minute we had a change in plans and needed a nice place for a birthday get-together. A member of our group had been to Le Coin in Fremont before and recommended that we try it. It was perfect for the occasion. We had a window seat that accommodated our party of six very nicely and the food, staff and atmosphere of the restaurant were perfect. The brunch menu has lots to choose from and everyone seemed to very much enjoy their food. I had the wagyu steak and eggs with fries and it was perfectly cooked and very satisfying. Our waitress was super attentive and everyone had a great time.......definitely want to come again and try the dinner menu.
Great food, great wine
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, a vegetarian pasta dish, and especially the wine selection - a very nice French Malbec. The octopus appetizer was outstanding. My dining partners thought that it was a bit overpriced - Seattle living!
