Food is generally quite good

By HonestMcHonest |

Food is generally quite good - nothing spectacular but quite good but one expects more at these prices - servers continually push extras eg the noodles that aren’t that good - this is just annoying and something expected at an Applebee’s but not a fine dining joint - very popular- a fun place to hangout if you can get a spot in the back bar

Mallory rocks!!! Go there and sit at the bar

By Navigate54576409876 |

I sat at the bar and Mallory made our night. So so good! Excellent recommendations and just so fun! Had the best night ever. The food was excellent and the dessert mindlowing

Very good and different food choices

By CandV |

The food at this French / Vietnamese restaurant is very good and the room is very attractive. Wine list is a bit pricey and overall experience is not cheap. I would call this a special occasion priced place, but worth a visit. Coconut chicken soup, ribs, salmon all special!

A MUST visit!

By Amy |

We had a work team dinner in one of their private rooms. Everything about this place is FANTASTIC! Working with Ebony to set up the room and menu was flawless. The service and food was absolutely TOP notch!!! Paul the GM and his team really have something special going on a Le Colonial!!! A MUSt visit restaurant!!!

It's a keeper.

We had dinner last night and I have to say we loved it. I highly recommend this fantastic spot. Will come back soon for sure.

Overpriced and Not a Positive Experience

By J E1 |

Our dinner experience was average. Our waitress had an attitude which spoiled the evening- She rolled her eyes and showed strong condescending disapprovement when we didn’t agree to order an appetizer, dessert, and extra wine. I asked her how spicey the shrimp stirfry was - she said not too spicey- however, when the dish arrived it made my mouth on fire that I could not eat but half of it. Prices were overpriced in my opinion- I guess that is why they don’t publish the menu prices on their website. On the positive side, my husband’s steak salad was good - but it was overpriced at $43.00. Overall, I agree with one of the other Reviewer’s comment who stated” One and done” - Been there but won’t go back.

Great food. Beautiful ambience

By bhlraven1916 |

Great experience. Great atmosphere. Excellent service. We had the CHA GIO Crispy Shrimp & Pork roll for an appetizers and Le Colonial Signature Dish/Ca Chien Saigon / Crispy Red Snapper for the main dish. Plenty of parking. Great area for high end shopping too. No military discount. I recommend this place for service and quality of food.

Great atmosphere, good food

By Sigrid B |

It is reminiscent of the Traders Vic in Munich: very good interesting food, friendly, prudent service and a very pleasant atmosphere. Ideal for a small group is the next room, as you are undisturbed and yet in the middle of it.

Great place. Great location. Great food. Great Service.

By 820frankmm |

Excellent food, drinks, service. French Vietnamese. Eight at our table. I enjoyed the chicken curry, dumplings, chicken soup, shrimp fried rice. Old Fashion was very good. Their bar in the back is cozy. One of the nicest bar areas that I have seen. Expensive. Beware of valet service that is for the stores and restaurants in the area. $20. Le Colonial gives a $5 discount. Even so, $15 is the most I have ever paid for a dinner valet service anywhere.

A Dining and Entertaining Experience

By David W |

While the menu is not especially large, the overall quality of the food was excellent. The service that was very good, almost had a theatrical feel to it. Prices were not cheap. Probably more of a "special occasion" restaurant

Great new restaurant in the Streets of Buckhead

By Warren K |

Second floor location with a view and a great bar. Service was good. We split tuna tartare along with shrimp rolls for appetizers. Salmon & Brussels sprouts for dinner. Enjoyed our evening.

A truly authentic experience

By Juha H |

The food was exceptionally prepared and the service was equally great. But what sets the restaurant apart is it’s ability to take you on a journey. Sitting on the patio in the Atlanta summer heat it fell like being in the Far East.

Outstanding!

By Yellowbandchef |

Everything about dining at Le Colonial is outstanding. The impeccable service, the flavorful food and ambiance of the restaurant is beyond exceptional!

A good option in the Buckhead village

By Roadster2015 |

First time visiting this restaurant and the overall impressions were positive. We were looking for a light dinner, but the vibes were a bit too traditional for the taste of our group. We ended up having a few drinks at the bar and a couple of light dishes. I liked the whole experience and will try it again another time. This spot has a good reputation in the area and I look forward to my next visit.

So Happy we went there.

By sergemansur |

My wife and I were recommended this restaurant by a very nice hostess at the St. Regis which is an easy ten-minute walk away. We had no reservation but we were welcomed warmly and given a very nice table. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful in suggesting menu items. We decided to choose four small plates and share "tapa-style". This turned out to be a very good choice. We tried the Ga Ghio (Crispy Shrimp & Pork Roll), Suon Nuong (Baby back ribs), Ca Song (Tuna Tartare) and the Sui Cao Chien (Fried Dumplings). Everything was sinply fantastic. The combination of the settings, the service and the quality of the food made for a really enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wouldn’t have chosen, but very pleasantly surprised

By JohnKreviews |

Not a place I’d have ever chosen, but a work-event left me pleasantly surprised. Sampled a variety of dishes including delicious salmon. The bo luc lac “shaking beef” was probably favorite. Shrimp/pork roll appetizer also very good. The ribs looked good but I didn’t try & a variety of rices/fried rices were good. For dessert, the upside down cake was good but the creme brûlée’ was delicious.

French Vietnamese is superb.

By Evan H |

We ordered several small plates and each one was exceptional. The tuna tartare was so good we almost ordered a second. Instead we had the shaking beef, which was incredible. Even the light on the table was impressive. The blood orange margarita was the drink of the night.

Very sofisticated.

By Pete |

Le Colonial Atlanta is the place for high quality food for a decent price and a good portion. Is not one of those places where your plate is huge and a very small portion of food. French-vietnamite cuisine with amazing cocktails. All the areas of the place are super cute and very comfortable. The staff is super nice.

Need to improve

By Deja Vu |

Beautiful design and nice decor inside along with all the art and pictures. The shutter window and banana leaf tree make you feel like you’re sitting back in the country again. The staffs are well dressed and polite. Food was decent but not great . The only thing that stood out was the egg rolls with the authentic dipping fish sauce and the Vietnamese ice coffee. The lemongrass chicken lacks that lemongrass and flavor. The beef noodle soup bowl was tiny and lack the rich authentic broth along with many missing ingredients inside. Needs improvement here to make it more authentic which it lacks.

Business lunch

By PAUL D |

Today was my first visit and I will definitely return with my wife for dinner. We had a quick but tasty lunch with great service. The staff was very outgoing and were able to answer all of my questions about the different dishes. You have to try the tuna tartar appetizer. They were getting the lounge ready to reopen. My server mentioned that they were working on returning to live music as soon as possible. I recommend for a date night or night out with a group of friends.

Lovely space, friendly servers, unexciting food

By Glenn M |

The Cha Gio crispy shrimp and pork roll (like an egg roll) was fantastic. The Pho Bo was lacking in flavor as was the Ga Nuong Xa. In summary, it was a lackluster experience overall. We love ethnic foods of all kinds provided they offer interesting flavor profiles. That was not the case today.

Having lived in Vietnam for

By Tayfun U |

Having lived in Vietnam for 5 years, I am picky about Vietnamese food. It’s as good as you are going to get in the States and the ambiance is reminiscent of the Metropole Hotel in Ha Noi. Highly recommended

Vietnamese Food at its Best

By Jill S |

When you enter this restaurant you are immediately greeted by its beauty. The decor is lovely, inside or outside. The welcome is genuine. The food is wonderful. Our first dinner there was so tasty and so beautifully plated. The seasonings were remarkable, contemporary and traditional. I cannot wait to return to discover more fascinating dishes.

Very good foot and service

By Henry M |

Very good decor and excellent service. Off all of the dishes, the egg plant is wonderful. The Waterfall beef is quite good but the snapper was disappointing.

I ordered a soup when come in don’t have chicken a

By Virginia V |

Order delivery and soup don looking like when I go the restaurant horrible was same the other day I need wait one hr for my order inside the restaurant the food was cool

Great service

By Rae B |

I’ve gone here several times now and no matter what bar Tim is working at he always makes the best spirit and wine suggestions for me. I’m very picky about what I like to drink and he is always telling me about something new. I will say if you are spicy averse this may not be the place for you but I LOVE IT.

Unpleasant host!

By ATMagan |

Disappointing experience last night thanks to the unpleasant host. He greets you with a scowl and proceeds to be unfriendly and unpleasant. The woman with him who seated us was extremely nice and pleasant. Management should consider if you want this guy to be the first person your patrons see. Unhelpful and unpleasant!

Best restaurant in Atlanta!

By Jim K |

Le Colonial is simply the best restaurant in Atlanta. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is absolutely superb. The service is exceptional. It has only been open a few weeks, and my wife and I plus friends have been there three times already, and have reservations for more. Once we called and went straight to the bar for dinner and drinks. Not the typical bar area but a unique space. Do yourself a favor and go.

Perfect celebration.

By Charles J |

What a great spot to celebrate an anniversary! Great food, very friendly service, and a beautiful setting! We’ll be back.

The best French-Vietnamese

By Stews4u |

All entres were delicious. My favorites were the salmon, brussels sprouts, chicken and rice stir fry. Top it off with the pineapple cake and you are doing real good. The food was very light and healthy. The atmosphere is very romantic and welcoming. The touch tea lights is a very nice touch to bring light right on the table. Definitely will visit again.

not impressed

By Tina C |

unfortunately while its a beautiful place, the food was average, the hostesses were terrible, and prices are very high, wont be back

Great atmosphere, but food is exactly average

By Sondra W |

I loved the atmosphere, and the tenant TI buildout. Especially the bar area - they did a great job. The wait staff is attentive. The food itself is not that creative. In fact, I thought it was average. We tried several dishes, and non of them wowed me. That said, it is worth it for the atmosphere. They all tasted like they stayed w/in a box, and did not great creative w/ flavors, or offerings. I was disappointed, as expectation was high.

Best French/ Vietnamese Restaurant in Buckhead

By edtriana |

I had a great time dining at this restaurant, great service, I had the small plates and the Vietnamese soup, however it didn’t come with the bean sprouts that they said was on the menu. Chef, this message is for you! ;-) Overall great experience.

Unfriendly HOST and a coffee with HAIR.

By Michael N |

This place has a strict dress code which I'm fine with. But I think that requirement was a bit excessive when the host ordered my 7 year old to take off his Braves jersey, considering that it was lunch and they serve pho, egg rolls and bahn mi sandwiches. Funny thing is that shortly after, I found a disgusting hair with my coffee. They are free to require whatever rule they like, but I don't think they deserve to impose such impeccable dress code policy if their hygiene practic is on the other end. It was really a YUCKY gross moment.

My Valentine’s dinner plans where spoil by a phone message...! Wrong message! Uncalled message..!

By Jairo C |

After I agreed to put down my credit card for a reservation to Valentine’s dinner and agreed to terms and conditions of the reservation I got a phone message few days after I made reservation regarding a dress code , and also warning me that I could only stay but 2 hrs at the restaurant for dinner , oh , and the cancelation fee per person and such.. bad taste , too condescending, cheap dinner alike policies , nothing like a fine 5 star restaurant.. too money hungry , too raw and aggressive. The response from the assistant manager was as innapropiate as the phone message was. Classless, arrogant and out of touch with a customer expectations in regards to fine dining in a upper class establishment.

1st time visit

By Summertown |

We celebrated a birthday at Le Colonial. The atmosphere will set your mind to a different place and time. But the food will bring you right back to reality. In other words, do not expect authentic Vietnamese. We tasted more of French balanced flavor. So the food was good but not Vietnamese. Actually, I have not tasted authentic flavors of Vietnam since the days of the "Viet Chateau" diner formerly located near downtown Decatur. However we did enjoy our dishes and plan to return. We ordered their Com Chien which is Fried Rice; Chicken Breast, Broccoli, Pork Sausage, Scallion; Rau Xao which is Napa Cabbage, Baby Bok Choy, Garlic Oyster Sauce; and MI Xao Don Chay which contains Crispy Egg Noodles, seared Greens and Tofu. The restaurant is at the recently opened Buckhead shops. Thankfully, Le Colonial validates parking. More importantly, my 4 star rating is primarily due to the uncommon and excellent service of Ms. Veronica Velez. She is definitely a rock star.

Outstanding Asian Dining Experience

By ddmullis |

When I reflect on my recent dinner at Le Colonial, what I immediately think about is quality, warm ambiance and amazing service The food that is served. is clearly prepared fresh each day. Each dish offers a unique set of flavor and textures. The green spicy shrimp curry was the best I have eaten anywhere in the world. The flavors were simply majestic. The ambiance was very warm, relaxing and inviting which allows for great dinner conversation. The washroom was nicely decorated and extremely clean. The service is the very best you will find at any restaurant anywhere. The extension knowledge of the menu was amazing. The waiter was never hurried or pushy. While always offering drink refills in a timely manor yet never interfered with conversation. I highly recommend this dining experience

Disappointing

By Edward |

From long wait to be seated, then shown to the worst table by the door, our protest got a slightly better one to very slow bar service because they told us the barmen were very busy to a wine service that was non existent , we had to refill our own glasses every time we had a very poor experience. The food was nothing special as was mainly standard fare eg New Zealand lamb chops with a touch of Vietnamese spice.

Not What It Used To Be 😕

By GracieGirl |

I have been here for business lunches, for dinner with other couples, for brunch with friends and just with my husband. The atmosphere and decor are spot on. Drinks and appetizers are excellent. Beyond that, the past two times were very disappointing when it came to entrees. You know it's not good, when at a restaurant of this caliber, your waiter looks at you because it is obvious your meal is overcooked and says very politely, "Can you cut into the middle of that?" You do and he says, "It should be OK even though it looks like they left it on the grill too long." Seriously if the waiter knows it, he should automatically replace it but honestly, the chef should have never let it leave the kitchen. I don't come to this restaurant to have to send my food back. That is frustrating and annoying. I come to have a seamlessly wonderful gourmet meal with fabulous service from the moment I walk in the door until leaving. I had hoped the time before, which was a terrible business lunch experience, was isolated (was willing to give it another chance as all the other times were excellent) but It is apparent things have gone downhill at Le Colonial in ATL. Super disappointed but it is what it is. Le Colonial has been allocated to drinks and appetizers for us.

Nice restaurant just for drinks or Asia fusion fare!

By Ushuaia4 |

Went for dinner with family to this restaurant. The cocktails were well-made (Old- Fashioned) and customized at my request. We ordered a wide assortment of dishes - small pates and large plates and a couple of shareables (see pictures included) Overall the dishes did not disappoint and were unique takes on Asian cuisine - or Asian fusion. Great place for evening drinks in the cozy lounge area before dinner or just on its own!

Notes on Le Colonial

By nomadsister |

The Scene The ambience was very similar to the one in Chicago as was the menu. Exotic ambience with Bermuda shutters, lots of palm foliage and candle lit tables. The main dining room is dimly lit but pleasant We sat in the solarium with all the shutters open There’s also an outdoor patio in front that seems to be a little more open to the air. For Post Covid concerns, the Staff follows safety cdc guidelines. Tables seem fairly spaced out. In general it is a good size dining room, tables aren’t right on top of each other, like many other restaurants I’ve been too in town. I would have been ok eating inside. The Service As I said the staff were fully masked. Walker did a great job with timing and anticipating requests and was professional and courteous The Food (Note: many restaurants are now serving sides separately) Dumplings were good- subtle ginger is key Salmon was excellent- slightly charred, a lobster broth based sauce, a different take on the usual teriyaki glaze salmon. Shrimp stir fry was very good but too many peppers. Sticky Rice - I would highly recommend for something totally different than plain white rice Not sure but It tastes like it was steamed in banana leaves and seasoned with Chinese 5 spice. Whatever it is, it’s my new favorite thing! Bokchoy in oyster sauce was nice but could’ve had a better balance of leaves and stems The entrees and a la carte items were all very different flavors but went together so well. The Drinks AO LUA HA DONG - yes. This was fruity, strong and pretty. I loved it! My husband had the Old Fashion and the Bourbon Smash- unfortunately he didn’t like either one of them. Walker recommended a French Sauvignon Blanc that I found very nice as well. The Cost 3 cocktails, a glass of wine, an appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 a la carte aides $161 (not including tip) Was it worth it? Yes (although could’ve done without cost of $15 valet in front of the restaurant- parking is otherwise not good in Buckhead Shopps area. Might I recommend validating tickets?)

Still great food but outrageous prices

By flow21 |

So we have loved Le Colonial since our days in New York when it was a 57th St gem, but seems the chain has become very full of itself and lost it's way. We were in ATL on business and had dinner last Friday evening. The place was packed but we had reserved a two top a few weeks ahead of time. After the waitstaff finally shimmied our table level, we set about ordering from the great menu. My wife ordered a Paloma with reposado tequila and specifically asked for any brand other than a popular premium brand ( because of the vanilla backnote). It was no problem and the server mentioned the brand they used, Azul. We said it sounds fine. When the drink came it was clearly lacking in alcohol, in my wife's opinion, and we asked the server to just take it back to the bartender and remake it. It came back and the server said the bartender apologized and gave us a little more tequila (blanco) in a vial, so we thanked her. More on this later. The menu was as we recalled it and we ended up getting some great pork rolls, a wonderful Vietnamese ravioli and two curries. This is an expensive place, but the food is worth it. Loved it. And I mean it's very good. While we were dealing with the Paloma issue, I looked at the wine list. Oh dear....it was hard to fine a bottle under $100, and probably a third of the relatively limited list was over $150. I chose a Sangiovese at $72, but the server came back and said they were out....and said the bartender suggested a Cabernet for $80. I didn't want that varietal, and ended up buying a Cote Du Rhone for $82. The wine was fine and we moved on to the meal. We rarely have dessert when we eat out and after the great meal, we asked for the check. That's when the fun began. The Paloma was $40. Dinner for two was over $250 before tip. Two appetizers, two curries, , one cocktail and a bottle of wine. I asked the server why the cocktail was $40 and she said it was made with a very expensive tequila. I asked for the Maitre D'. I told him about the cocktail ordeal, the obvious upcharge, and he was gracious and removed it from our bill. We tipped the server 20% and dinner as still ~$250. I was glad we could get back to Le Colonial but we both agreed that it was too expensive. The restaurant was packed and I'm very happy they are doing a brisk Saturday night service. Back at the hotel I decided to Google the wine we had...it was $16.98 retail. Le Colonial charges 500% of the retail price for wine. It's insulting. I am a wine lead at a wine bar...and I was afraid of this. Maybe one could say it's buyer beware, maybe one could say if I was so smart I should have known better. But I say any restaurant that only has 10% of their wine list under $100, doesn't keep an updated inventory of their lower priced wines, and charges 5 times retail for their wine should be ashamed. I am incredibly sympathetic for the industry challenges...I'm in it! But that's bad policy.

Good food but TERRIBLE SERVICE

By RS |

Food was pretty good but TERRIBLE service. Rude waitress who looked like she wanted to commit suicide right there and then. Interesting thing is as soon as she left the dining area and exchanged words with the bus girl and/or the other waitress, she was all smiles. Then, when she came back to us, nothing but shortness. They messed up our order and there was no apology or even acknowledgment. Next, I ordered sparkling water and I had to refill my glass the entire lunch period because the waitress didn't stop by to refill it. I gave her a 10% tip but in hindsight I should've given her $0. We loved this restaurant in Chicago, so we thought this Atlanta version - in bougie Buckhead nonetheless - would be analogous to that experience. Man, were we mistaken. If I want to have a rude waitress without paying too much $ over and above, I'll go to Chili's. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Upscale French/Vietnamese Experience in Buckhead

By GlobeTrotting558278 |

Finally able to visit this restaurant in the oh so chic Shops of Buckhead. Covid concerns & city unrest had delayed our desire to try this place out. Beautiful French Colonial decor - black/white, plants & Bahamas shutters give a cool vibe. Covid requirements appear to be fully enforced - masked servers, tables placed far apart. Never felt a concern about our safety. Drinks are lovely - the Lychee Martini delicious. Coconut soup the best my husband has ever sampled. The Le Colonial Salat was a little too hearty but the toasted pecans were a nice touch. The shaking beef was divine as was the beef and eggplant curry. Garlic noodles were enough to share & were also great. All in all a very nice dinner experience - although a very expensive one. The only thing that was annoying was seeing a $4 charge on the bill for the rock ice cube for the 2 scotch drinks. It’s an ICE CUBE. At $180 tab for TWO the ice charge seemed a little cheesy. Also - be aware - the valet parking is $10 plus tip. However - I wouldn’t recommend self parking.

Great ambiance but terrible service

By Claret Run |

Beautiful restaurant- great ambiance but average to below average food and terrible service. Waiter seemed to have all the standard excuses but the service did not improve-. They did not charge for the desert but will not return.

So disappointed

By Jennifer S |

I don't usually write reviews but I feel compelled to share our experience. It was a group of 7 of us and we spent $200 on cocktails at bar prior to dinner. I went to order Chardonnay at dinner at the least expensive glass was $21 and it was Jordan which is a very mediocre brand and should have been $12. The least expensive bottle was $92 which is ridiculous. Then every time we asked the waiter for recommendations he immediately pointed to the most expensive item on the menu. It felt like a hustle. They pushed us to order entrees quickly so they could turn the table. The food was glorified chinese food and nothing special. But insult came even further when we went back to the bar for an after dinner drink and were told we could not sit in a certain area unless we had a $250 tab. OMG! We jsut spent $1000 at dinner!!! This places is too big for its britches and this is not New York. Being an Atlanta native I am guessing they will be struggling in a year because everyone will be one and done. Try the place and move on because there are too many fabulous places that treat you better and don't inflate pricing because they are the new kind in town.

Awful experience

By A Ernest S |

I am a foodie and a trained and experienced restaurant person. We traveled from FL, really looked forward to some fine dining at Le Colonial and it was a disaster. They would not honor our reservation because I had on open toed sandals. Really? Many women had on open toed shoes with no hosiery yet thy were permitted to dine without any issue. If the Le Colonial has a dress code, I can honor that but when you make a reservation at the restaurant they should notify the client of their dress code. We did not and would not create a scene and it took a group of three foolish acting men from Le Colonial to decide we could not be seated. A disappointing evening for us, our dining companion was appalled, a loss of revenue for Le Colonial and a taste in our mouth that we would never come back all because of their lack of communication. Le Colonial this was an awful experience and you not deserve our business

Lovely ambience, friendly service and great food

By WoWie1010 |

We loved everything about Le Colonial. Friendly hosts, great service, fantastic food. We will come again as long as we are in Atlanta.

Beautiful setting with great food

By Maria G |

My daughter and I absolutely loved having lunch here. The setting with the palm trees and furniture transports you to another world. The potstickers were a little bland. My daughter loved her poke. The ribs were finger looking good. The view on the terrace is fantastic.

Vietnamese street food

By Alisson B |

Vietnamese street food in the beautiful and expensive restaurant. Extremely overpriced. You can get the same this down the street for 3rd of the price.

Excellent ambience with tasty dishes

By Quantummottle |

We are always trying out new places and this one delighted us. We decided to go with a number of small plates instead of ordering main dishes. The Tuna carpaccio, short ribs and chicken ravioli plates were excellent. Service was efficient and friendly. We certainly will visit again ...very soon

Superb Modern Vietnamese Cuisine in an Attractive Room with Attentive Service

By Robert Franklin |

I have visited Le Colonial over the years on many occasions. It is an attractive, well run restaurant with outstanding Vietnamese cuisine. Most recently I’ve been served on two occasions by an extraordinary professional server, Saida. We love the following food dishes: - Goi Cu Cai Do (beet salad with pistachios on a terrine of avocado) - Tuna tartare on a terrine of avocado with wonderful chips - Vietnamese cabbage topped with chicken salad, grapefruit slices (a brilliant touch) and peanuts. (wonderfully healthy and delicious - Garlic noodles in a wonderful teriyaki sauce (I always order an extra order to take home for the next day.) - Dark chocolate volcano cake flamed with a liqueur and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. - Superb cocktails included the lychee martini, and an Old Cuban (creative answer to the Old Fashioned). We also enjoyed a pineapple juice cocktail that had the profile of a piña colada. The room is gorgeous and reminds me of high-class restaurants in Saigon I visited decades ago. White walls with gorgeous art, attractive ceiling fans, and many classy Asian-French fusion touches. Valet parking outside is helpful and easy, and is located in a fun plaza within a new Buckhead shopping area. After our last visit, the manager sent a nice email and provided an email for future feedback.

Keep Scrolling to the next place!!!

By CiaoBella0215 |

This place won’t last!! Service was served with an attitude. $19.00 for an 4oz pour of house wine ?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!! Server was not friendly or attentive….We actually ordered appetizers and left!! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

Excellent surprise

By Jack C |

We went for dinner and could not have been more impressed. As Buckhead natives we have always avoided this development but came to Le colonial on a recommendation. From the ambience to the service to the food everything was excellent. With five in our party we were able to sample four small plates, two soups and four of the main courses so a little of everything. Even better than the food was the atmosphere. A great surprise and we will be back.

Great Vietnamese

By Travelingbear1000 |

Great restaurant — everything was wonderful. The appetizers were fabulous, my entree was awesome, and the desserts were heavenly. Also the cocktails are amazing.

A bright and Interesting new spot in Buckhead.

By Stephen C |

You reach the restaurant by elevator and as a result the terrace area has pretty good views out across Buckhead. We started out in the lounge which is decorated in a colonial style and was very comfortable with a large bar and attentive service. The only thing that i did not care for was the large creepy photograph of a gentleman with curling fingernails on one hand. Otherwise this was the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks. The dinner itself was served on the terrace, which is nicely decorated with potted plants and large shutters for shade. The menu is more Vietnamese than French, with hints of Thailand thrown in for good measure. The food was delicious and portions generous. We had three starters and three entrees between five of us and it was plenty. The whole fish and the shaking beef were my favorites. A wonderful evening and we will certainly be back.
