Very tasty, authentic Food

By Ian F |

Tried this place since it was 5 star rated and I know why. We had the chicken adobo, chicken katsu, mochiko chicken and musubi and all tasted awesome. This place gets a 5 star for flavor and serving size Plus, very friendly and fast service. You must try this place!

Food was ‘Ono! Service with a smile! Vibe was like visiting the Hawaiian Islands! Aloha! Highly recommend! If you’re in the area check it out, you won’t leave disappointed!

My favorite Hawaiian place in Vegas

Lefty J’s has a super laid back atmosphere. The lady that works behind the counter is super hospitable. The food is unbelievably good. Great bang for the buck.

Delicious food, huge portions!

We stopped by thanks to Keith Lee's review and I see why it's his favorite. Customer service was A++++++++! We had the chicken cutlet with brown gravy, rice, and Mac salad. I could have eaten a tub of that Mac salad! Plus the spam musubi was so good. The chicken had 2 giant, super moist chicken cutlets.

I could hear the surf in the background

We have been to the islands a lot so we feel like we know a little about the food. Had our two favorites, Kalua pork and Kalbi short ribs. Both were out of this world, as good as it gets. Highly recommend this, we can wait to go back. The mac salad broke my mouth too.

Humble meal

Small cafe in strip center away from Las Vegas strip. We had teri-beef plates. Good lunch and prices moderate. Helpful service - but cash or upcharge on credit card purchases. Would return.

Good family business

The owner was quite pleasant. My husband had the garlic chicken which was good, I had the veggie stew and menudo but it was not up to par.

My new favorite

By Tim H |

We have eaten at a lot of questionable places in town but Lefty-Js was soooo worth it. The location sucks and parking lot dark at night but the food and people did not disappoint. We even returned the same day! We had the Pancit, Pinakbet, the two meat special the first time and the Kalua pork and Mochiko Chicken for dinner. All wonderful. My only appreciation was that we did not have everything we wanted on this trip. This power pair is going places. They are their best advertisers. They were the friendliest people I have met in Vegas on this trip. Very refreshing! Thank you for sharing your time and joy with us on Friday Lefty and Jeanette. Look forward to next time.

Great new location.

Went to the new location 4550 S Maryland Pkwy D, Las Vegas, NV 89119, next to UNLV. It is a nice site with a lot more room than the original site. More tables, with the same great food and service! Two thumbs up! Thanks to Lefty and family for a wonderful visit.

I felt at home

Lefty J's crispy fried chicken is a must!! If you get it with gravy, it reminds me of Jollibee. So good. The chicken is so crispy and flavorful, you won't regret it. Robust garlic chicken has sauce, but you can still dip it in gravy. Such a delicious meal. When I received my food I thought I was going to have leftovers. I guess the combination of me being hungry and the good being so good, I ended up finishing everything. The hospitality here is top notch. I need to go back to Vegas so I can have some of this goodness again.

Great Island Food

Hands down my favorite Hawaiian / Filipino joint in town. My go to's are the Katsu chicken and the Kalbi beef short ribs. The macaroni salad is out of this world, I could eat it by the gallon. The loco moco is also outstanding. Service is always great, and I am a many times repeat customer. Maybe a mile east of the strip behind the Wynn.

Broke da' mouth!!!

Absolutely the best Hawaiian plate lunch place in Las Vegas! When you eat here you gonna keep coming back! Their lunches and combinations are the best! Try the all protein plate with the Galbi ribs! So Good!

First time and thankful

By lcpotes |

First time and thankful they are open. Saw a post asking where to get good local kine Hawaiian grinds ... and several people responded with this restaurants name. We don’t usually drive in this area cause I’m on the SW end of LV; drive past one but wasn’t sure. So yesterday because of the responses we decided to give it a try. They did not disappoint- be ready to wait a little 20m but worth it ! Enjoyed garlic chicken, pork and chicken adobo, teri beef and chicken, kal bi, Teri chicken, hot dog musubi and their cakes chantilly and rainbow ! Happy are we found this place thanks to 9th island foods and will definitely be back !

Awesome Hawaiian/Filipino food

By KaerukunZ |

I have been to this location on many occasions, and always find it awesome. The food is really good, and the portions are huge for the price. The owner is very proud of little piece of Hawaiian/Filipino foods. A must to visit when in Las Vegas.
