Hands down this is the best pizza in San Diego if you have to know how to order it...4 words... Stuffed Deep Dish Pizza... Not deep dish pizza, stuffed deep dish pizza. Oh...and the Italian sandwiches are solid as well. Again you have to know how to order it... Italian beef with cheez whiz instead of provolone cheese. Add hot peppers.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for years. I finally made it here. It was like having a little taste of home. The deep dish pizza tasted like Medici in Chicago’s Hyde Park. The crust was good. It was not quite as thick as the deep dish in Chicago but it was still very good. I will be back and recommend it for anyone from Chicago missing deep dish pizza.

Great pizza and salads! The folks are friendly and by now they recognize us. The eating area is super small on 30th and just small at the Goldfinch location. Go early so that you can find a seat. My daughter who won't eat pizza will eat the bread sticks with cheese. I drink the marinara sauce since she is not a dipper. My only complaint is the seating.

Best Chicago Deep Dish west of

We were visiting the area and stopped in for lunch. My daughter ordered two slices of the deep dish pepperoni pizza and I got the char cheese burger with loaded fries. The pizza was the best I have had. It has the sauce on top of the cheese and a crispy crust. It is incredible. The loaded fries have real bacon, cheese, sour cream and green onions. Why does something so good have to be so bad for you? These too are something you must experience! The char burger was good but not nearly as good as the pizza. I walked away satisfied and full.

This place is awesome because it's local, but....who serves dry, burnt , slices when they know they're not good at it? The people that work there are nice, but they really don't care about the food. It's overpriced for slices, especially the ones that should have been thrown away. Idk maybe whole pies are good.

First time trying the deep dish pizza from Lefty’s, simply wow. I will definitely go back for more. We took our pizza across the street to enjoy at a local brewey.

Best Chicago pizza in San Diego!! If this is your style of pie then this if the place. Can order by the slice, beers, and outdoor seating too.

Loved the Chicago Sports memorabilia! Loved that you can buy deep dish by the slice to sample a lot of what they got! We enjoyed sausage pizza, mushroom/spinach pizza, pepperoni pizza, and tomato and basil! Nicely done, with the sauce poured over the cheese and topping. A little sweeter sauce and a little more malted deep dish crust l, and it could have been a Gino’s! Glad I ate here since I love Gino’s East! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! Loved the Ditka pic the best!

great sandwiches, fries, dogs, artichoke bread, even cobb salad... super neighborhood eatery

Found Lefty's on the internet prior to going to San Diego, and was glad we had time to go there after a long day at the SD Zoo. I love to find spots like this that are not on the typical tourist trail. Though seating was limited, we enjoyed sitting out side and relaxing. Staff was friendly, and in fact the other patrons sitting outside were as well. Order inside, they'll bring it out to you. My niece had the thin crust and enjoyed it. My wife and I had the "deep dish" (not wanting to wait an hour for the "stuffed", though I likely would have loved it), and found it to be tasty with generous toppings. Always prefer deep dish or Sicilian, but it was nice that the place had a variety of offerings. Limited but suitable selection of beers, good selection of sodas. Would go back without doubt, and hope to visit the other location as well.

We had a deep dishy meaty pie and their bread appetizer and I can happily say that I was disappointed I did not have more room left in my stomach! They proudly serve local beers and had some tasty treats to go along with our pie! You will miss it if you aren't looking for it - its a tiny little place. Seek it out and get some eats! You won't be disappointed.

We ordered a house salad, mozzarella sticks and a deep dish pizza withs sausage and pepperoni. Pizza was delicious, and the slices were huge. Salad was fine, nothing special. The mozzarella sticks were very good. Very fresh, definitely scratch made. We will absolutely be going back.

Have not been here in a couple of years. Still the best Chicago style pizza around all of Southern California. Got an Italian Beef sandwich too. Just like being back in Chicago but better because we are in San Diego. Special shout out to Karen for the super friendly and excellent service.

We love coming here, not only is the neighborhood great but the deep dish pizza is also out of this world. Not quite a Giordano's quality, but the best you'll get in San Diego. We used to like going to Pizza Port, but it got crowded and the pizza choices got more complex. But these guys keep it straight and do it right. Parking can be a little rough in this area, be prepared to walk a little.

Great find thanks to TA. It is mostly for take out / delivery but there are some seats and tables inside and 3 larger tables outside. Served quickly and food arrived in a timely manner (they say 25 mins for a deep pizza) piping hot and fresh. Absolutely delicious don’t miss out

Lefty's is quite good. Stuffed slices to NY style. It's great quality but don't expect it to be perfect Chicago style. As the title says, it's a great stand-by when you can't go to Chicago for dinner.

Best pizza in town and I pride myself in knowing all the good pizza placed in san diego. I took my family to leftys after a fun day at seaworld and have to say, not only was the deep dish pizza amazing but the staff was amazing as well....my wife who is not a big fan of pizza even said that this particular pizza, she could eat every day which is saying a lot....I give it 20 stars out of 10.

Yummy Carbonara

This is like real Chitown pie. Closest to Uno's I have seen out here. Weird hours of operation

DISAPPOINTING. I'm actually angry about my visit. So angry, that I'm typing this on a phone dropped and held together with Contact paper, having to flick back and forth every 20 seconds to the app. The hour of day is O"dark hundred because my body is protesting digestion and I'm having nightmares about how to approach friends and church members to eat the leftovers, 50 pounds of dough and tomato sauce so I won't feel even worse for wasting this food. Let me set the scene. My son said we should go to the chain pizza places running sales. Their online shenanigans wore me out. So I said, screw this, we are supporting local. We had watched this restaurant on the best of shows filmed by locals. My expectations were high, I give you that. Like most folks, I'm looking for value with my experience and we are on a budget. In my case, it's a bit more extreme, single mom, new Special Ed teacher. But I've worked in restaurants forever, so I always give grace for cost, atmosphere, service, etc. We show up at 6 pm on Friday and it's not packed. The place is designed for crowds. I should have ran. There are doors marked well, one for Enter and one for Exit. My son insisted on ordering "the Meaty" deep dish. I'm excited to see Stubborn sodas at the fountain,. There are 3 guys behind the counter staring at us. Why on Gods green earth did not one of them tell us how the place worked or that there is a major design flaw in the restaurant set up. When we ordered a pizza and two sodas, the guy at the register, questions with an incredulous tone, "the whole pie?" I say, a yes, just one pizza for both of us. I thought he was asking if we wanted separate pizzas, like individual pizzas. Nope. That's not it. Too bad he didn't explain his thoughts. He rings us up. $45 for a pizza and 2 sodas. I think that seems expensive, but maybe I'm just so poor I don't know the going cost, and besides, it is called the Meaty. Maybe I am paying for a pizza with a lot of meat. Nope. That's not it either. We could have gotten a can of high end dog food with more meat than the pizza. It's large. It's heavy. But it's just dough and sauce. The surroundings weren't bad. But it sure looks like a place designed by a dad, taken over by a son, that isn't keeping up on it. Like they take for granted the whole business will always do well and you don't have to work at maintaining the joint. I couldn't help but hear a conversation from a date across from us saying they had been coming here for years. How I longed for the two salads they ate for dinner. What really chapped my hide was that as we exited, they had a huge display with all of the pizzas for sale, ready to eat, only $5 a slice. WTF. I'm in wrenching in pain from guilt eating, forcing myself to over eat, 2 slices. We had to wait, over pay, over order, sit at a dirty table, and all because you designed your display at the Fing exit?! What kind of idiot retailer displays their wares only after the customer leaves? You have made it abundantly clear that I am only supposed to go that space as I leave. And if this set up was all you could do with the space, for God's sake why don't you have a big sign at the register saying look at the display at the exit before ordering? Or at a minimum, get those 3 nimrods to tell customers that most folks order by the slice and there is a display by the exit...before we spend our weeks wages on 50 pounds of dough and tomatoes sauce?! Why the f did they not pause and say something about a 9 year old and an old woman ordering that much food, "for here ?!" You guys took all of our fun money and gave us garbage. I admit, you gave us a lot of food, which would have been fine, if that was our purpose. If we were ordering to go, you guys might not know if we are serving a party if 20 people. But we ordered to eat in house. Maybe it's just the pizza we ordered and they did a crappy job on that one. But management is the one that designed everything else. I feel like we were swindled into buying food that we didn't need, and crappy at that. Lefty's ruined our weekend. Lefty's ruined my birthday weekend. They suck.. I should have responded to all of those birthday discounts in my email or been more patient through the chains ordering system. Now my stomach is too upset to try any of those offers. If you visit, I assure you there are a lot of other amazing mama and pop shops that are good. I wish I had had enough energy after a long week to have asked for a refund. I was too tired to react in the moment. Now I'm tired because I can't sleep with this dough baby in my stomach. I use to travel a lot, especially globally. When you travel, you are usually tired and can't think through things like this. Avoid it. Go to a place like Bread and Cie where you can see your food, point and order what you are paying for.

eh, what can i say? less than $20 for a party of 4. Pizza is "ok" Chicago-style, but not "great" Chicago-style. I've had that (in Chicago). I am lukewarm about this place.

As a lover of Chicago pizza I can definitely say this is one of the better Chicago style pizzeria's I have been to in Southern California. I live in Los Angeles and have tried virtually every Chicago pizza restaurant in this large geographical area. The pie was freshly made with high quality cheese and ingredients and took about 30 minutes to make. Great sauce as well. The

Great pizza! But try the hamburgers (great quality meat), French fries (my cardiologist would not endorse these) and great selection of beers (& wine). And a staff that is definitely out to please!

We ordered a thin crust margherita and a deep dish pepperoni online to go. All the workers were super friendly. The place smelled amazing. We took our pizza home and WOW! We loved the deep dish. The crust was great and the sauce had such a unique and slightly sweet edge to it. The thin crust was light and different flavor with some garlic and basil. We loved it and even warmed up the leftovers for the next day.

I am not sure if anyone at this location has been to Chicago, but if they have they sure did not have pizza why they were there. I have an office in Chicago and eat Real Chicago pizza at least once a month, and I am hear to tell you this place is not the place for real Chicago pizza. And to top things off I order a simple pepperoni pizza and got a cheese only pizza. I would save my money and look for a better Chicago pizza.

I have heard many people talk about how this is a real Chicago Pie. I finally decided to try it for myself. I ordered the pizza online. Lefty's has a convenient fast service for those on the go. I placed my order and paid for a 16 inch Pesto Pie and a 16 inch Meaty Pie. When I picked it up, I was shocked at how heavy this deep dish was. This wasn’t even their biggest. They also offer a stuffed pizza. This pizza is all layers upon layers of whatever you choose. I had to have a slice as my husband drove, that’s how delicious this pizza was. My mouth was watering and I was eating this slice so fast. The slices were heavy and generous with toppings. This is not your average pizza joint. This is for people who have huge appetites or train hard for a sport and then like to have some carbs after. The flavors were amazing. All the ingredients were fresh, tomato, ricotta, oh man. The meaty pie has sausage, pepperoni, huge meatballs, and Italian beef. They just threw all the delicious red meat in one pizza. What an amazing experience. Look if you come to eat here, be prepared to take a walk. This place is worth every calorie I gained.

We had both the deep dish and the thin crust. The thin crust highlighted the toppings and was perfectly crunchy and wonderful. The Chicago style was tasty and the crust stood up to the the fresh toppings. I highly recommend.

It's been about 5 years since eating there and it was exactly as I remember...too good to eat! As I anticipated all day what I was going to order for dinner, I was saddened when my plate arrived, as I knew soon it would be gone. I do not get out into the North Park area that often, so I savored the garlic fries and pepperoni pizza as long as I could...

I want to highly recommend this restaurant if you live or are visiting San Diego. This is a true Chicago style pizza. They offer both thin crust and deep dish pizza. The pricing is very fair and the taste is out of this world. The service is outstanding, if you are from Chicago, this is a must pizza joint to go to. The atmosphere is great. They have many TV's for sports and it is also a great place to go to to watch your favorite sporting event.

I'm completely partial to Portillos extra dipped Italian beefs but Lefty's is bomb on another level! Finally someone doing it right by Chicago comfort foods.

Best deep dish in town...hands down!

Lefty's rocks! great staff! great pizza, and PBR on tap...what more do you want?!

Not quite Chicago, but as close as you'll get in Diego.

I love Lefty's Chicago Pizzeria. I love their deep dish pepperoni pizza. My husband does too..he is a bit more adventurous and so he likes to order their hamburgers and sandwiches as well. Their customer service is great! Very friendly and thoughtful. We have been at their other restaurant I believe in Mission Hills..but it has been so long I do not remember it. They do serve beer and wine by the way..Anyhow-the only compliant is if you eat al fresco be ready to battle flies...you can it indoors of course, but it is a bit small and the music they play is a bit loud. Other than that..I would highly recommend this place..I am looking forward to returning.

Lefty's is really a haven for those who NEED Chicago-area food like deep-dish pizza, italian beef sandwiches, and hot dogs. But it's really the deep-dish pizza that's the draw here ... it takes the required time, but wow it's good and the best example of the Chicago deep-dish variety in the San Diego area. Two locations: the one in North Park is the original but limited seating; the one in Hillcrest has more seating; BOTH are outstanding!! Get the cheese & sausage deep dish and you're in pizza heaven. SO glad we found Lefty's and you will be too!!

I always order the stuffed pepperoni to go. Takes about an hour to make so call ahead if you do not want to wait. I have never eaten at the actual restaurant because it is small. It does have outdoor seating...very relaxed ambiance. There are two Lefty's in San Diego, I have only been to the one in North Park. I love their pizza...Ingredients used are delicious. Once you have tasted their pizza..it is hard to go elsewhere.

I had a not so great pizza experience at the other location but recently tried pizza at the North Park location and it was GREAT. The Gold Coast pizza was perfectly cooked and tasty - will definitely be back :)

There is literally NO deep dish pizza in Connecticut or New Jersey, so this is an item we look for whenever we travel. Lefty's is like one of the neighborhood places you find in Chicago. Not very big, a few seats inside, a few tables outside but very pleasant with a nice beer selection. They also feature pizza by the slide which is a good idea because the whole pies are huge and enough for several people. The deep dish and the stuffed were fantastic and soo worth the wait.

If you are looking for pizza similar to Chicago style, this is very close. Good customer service and the pizza is similar to Chicago style. Worth trying

This place offers great Chicago style deep dish pizza. I, however am the only one in my family who appreciates the monster meal called deep dish. They are free to enjoy the thin crust rectangular shaped pizza. Perfect for kids. The staff are really great as well.

Did not enjoy one bit.. lacking flavor. Did nit like the cheese or sauce they use. Did not feel one bit like's Chicago Style anything.

The food is excellent! I wish there was more seating available.

Lefty's serves great pizza with loads of good toppings (it's so hard to find a pizza joint w/ green olives on the menu!). The deep dish is literally about the size AND weight of a manhole cover. The thin crust is tasty too. Their other offerings, like burgers, aren't just afterthoughts but are done well too. The half order of delicious fries must take about a half dozen potatoes to make. Lefty's is great.

We three adults and two small (4 and 2) kids had a perfectly nice dinner here on a recent Friday night. Think: Chicago pizzeria (loads of sports memorabilia, graffiti-covered bathroom) with deep-dish pizzas and plenty of distractions for the kids. (entire 1986 toy set, as far as I could tell) Plus: loads of other kids. No meltdowns. Nothing too fancy to break, stain, or otherwise ruin. Also (perhaps a stroke of unintended brilliance, considering all the little ones), payment is settled in advance, so no waiting for the bill at the end. (when all those meltdowns might otherwise occur) Oh, and a GREAT beer selection, to keep the conversation reasonably lubricated. Take out or dine-in, Lefty's does it both.

We were very impressed by the thin crust pizza which had a great flavor, but not so impressed by the thick crust pizza. The sauce was tasty and overall it was impressive for pizza takeout but I wasn't completely wowed. Supposedly it has a 5 star rating on Poynt, but I have definitely had better!

Craving a Chicago dog. Lefty's does not cut corners.... Neon relish, poppy seed bun, good pickle, and real sport peppers. The dog has an authentic snap and combination is spot on. Authentic Chicago neighborhood bodega, what's not to love? I'll be back.

Best Chicago Dogs. Pizza is excellent too. Chicago born co-worker claiming best in SD.

This restaurant's various pizza flavors are consistently good. Customer service is friendly. The location is convenient and nice.

We decided to check this place out based on a recommendation and were not disappointed. Cool place with sports memorabilia and graffiti covered bathroom (covering literally every inch). We went with the thin crust pizza with half cheese and half cheese with ricotta cheese and green olives and the pizza rocked. Garlic bread was good and my picky 6 year old downed the hot dog. Staff was friendly and helpful. I am not familiar with the area but finding parking may be an issue. We are planning to make a return trip next time we are in town.

Nothing stood out. Chicago dog was a major disappointment.

While it is not my favorite location in North Park for pizza - it actually surprised me for being better than I thought it was going to be. Small/limited seating (wish they would add more) and more beers on tap would be great. But the pizza was tasty and there were several by the slice options as well, which is nice. Staff friendly.

MMMM Pizza, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Fries

It was good pizza and amazingly filling but it was chicago style. I am a New york girl at heart so I will stick with my thin crust pizza. The Monster of the MIdway pizza was excellent.

Their pizza can compete with Chicago's deep dish pizza, in my opinion. Customer service is friendly. The location is convenient.

Have been searching for good pizza since we moved to SD and Lefty's filled the bill. Always have been a thin crust type of guy and their thin crust was excellent. Very crisp and light with a flavorful sauce cooked to perfection. The service was great and the beer was cold. Plus the outdoor seating on 30th St. with a cool breeze blowing made for a fabulous evening. Watching the take out crowd coming and going for their Za showed a very diverse clientele. From walk-in freaks all tattooed up to a Maserati pulled up curb side this joint was hopping. Give Lefty's a try.

Went here to celebrate my nephew's graduation. Our family is from the Chicago area and Lefty's does a fantastic job of bringing the Chicago style deep dish pizza and the atmosphere of Chicago to the west coast! The cheese bread was delicious too.

We decided to hit Lefty's after a day at the zoo, based on the recommendation by a friend who lives in Chicago. We weren't disappointed. The service was super friendly, price reasonable, and the pie was great. At the 30th Street location, seating is cramped, as there are only 2 tables and 2 bar-style areas inside. There are several outdoor covered tables, however the weather wasn't great during our visit, so it was a bit cold. It's really set up to be a take-out pizzeria, so don't come here expecting sit down restaurant ambiance. The Mission Hills location is supposed to be larger and more accommodating. I've never had Chicago style deep-dish pizza before, and after having this, I can't wait till a future vacation to Chicago to compare. The sauce was very tasty, with just enough sweetness to it and nice large chunks of tomatoes. The cornmeal crust was also great. Nice and crisp on the bottom with just enough chewy goodness to the edge. TIP: With 35 minute bake time on the deep dish, and 45 minutes for the stuffed, call ahead to place your order!

We make a point to visit the North Park location every summer. Always friendly, always busy. It's not haute cuisine, but sometimes you just need a dog. And, Don't touch your eyes after biting the sport pepper.

Tried Lefty's for the first time last year and was surprisingly amazed at how authentic their deep dish pizza were. Would definitely recommend calling in an order one hour prior to pick up or dine in. The pies take some time.

I'm really picky about my pizza--and I don't want to steer you away if you like sauce on a cracker, so if that's how you like, Lefty's is your place. I prefer thin crust that's pliable--I like folding the slice--and I like it wood-fired. I didn't think these things were special, they're just what I grew up with and thought all pizza was. There's way too many varieties for me to say no to them all, so I don't, but when I want MY idea of pizza, that's what it is. And Lefty's is not it. SO I ordered paste instead rather than be a crank and ruin everyone's meal complaining about how the pizza wasn't just so. The linguine with meatballs was pretty GOOD! I have my ideas about sauce too, and this wasn't bad--a little on the sweet side, but at least it wasn't watery like so many restaurant red sauces. The meatballs were not bad, not too bready, (not like my dad's, the very best in the world, no lie, but I don't ever expect to find good meatballs elsewhere, I just like them anyway) but the pasta was the bigger surprise--it wasn't thick worms cooked this morning and steamed when you ordered them. They were al dente, perfectly cooked, albeit a wee bit drowned in sauce. The house salad was delicious too, have pitted calamata olives, thinly sliced red onions, cherry tomatoes, variety of lettuce, chopped cukes--doesn't come with, it's an extra, but worth the $2.75 and small was absolutely big enough. So I ate too much but I enjoyed it ALL. Oh and there was garlic bread with the pasta but a girl's gotta have some limits. I ate one little corner; not too bad, if a little underdone. I describe the food in such detail so if this is what you like, you're gonna be a happy camper.

Love their pizza and burgers.

I stopped at Lefty's many years ago when I was on business in San Diego and have been going back almost every time I get back to San Diego. I had originally Google'd Chicago style pizza and found it. The pizza is great, and the price is very reasonable. This just doesn't call itself Chicago style ... it is. With all of the Chicago pics on the wall, and just the feel of the little place, you will know it is authentic. It is a tiny, corner location with a small amount of covered seating area outside and a few tables inside. It is located on the corner of 30th St. and Myrtle Ave, which is northeast of downtown and very near the northeast corner of Balboa park.

I was driving around looking for a parking spot and saw this place. Went in, asked what is good, and ordered a hot italian beef sub and a bag of fries to go. Everything was 12bucks. The sub was super tasty, had lots of meat and even though i didnt get any ketchup in me bag (shame...) i really enjoyed everything. it filled me up good.

The pizza was delicious, just as I remembered from home. The italian beef could have been "wetter" but the flavor was spot on. The staff was incredibly friendly and really made you feel welcome.

Great family owned business and by far the best deep dish for miles. Between this and Luigi's you've got the two best pizza places in SD, depending on your mood!

Lefty’s is a nice San Diego surprise for Chicago Style Pizza. The staff are very friendly had helpful. Their selection of crust style and toppings are great. Multiple vegetarian options. On a personal taste I would like a little softer crust. If you like crunchy crusts this will be your place.

Here you have a pretty nice pizzeria in a growing area of North Park that is, as far as quick eats, a Top 5 in my walking distance list. This place shows off their Chicago and local pride with tons of wall coverings, memorabilia, and a number of their menu items! The staff is friendly and quick, and the menu has everything it needs, though I'm sure they would consider adding items if you ask enough, or at least make you anything they are capable of within reason of any pizzeria. The place is "OK" for a quick stop-in, but I highly recommend ordering over the phone whenever possible because they can get backed up at the drop of a hat. I also say this because the place is a bit small inside, and not much room to wait for 5-10 mins comfortably. Outside seating available, and lots more going on around the area! Have fun!

Lefty's is a San Diego favorite among Chicago natives transplanted here. Pizzas (deep dish and thin crust), pastas, Chicago dogs, and Italian beef sandwiches. A taste of home you'll fall in love with! There are to Lefty's in San Diego; one on Goldfinch and one on 30th St. Goldfinch has plenty of room for families, with a spacious dining room and plenty of TV's for watching "Da Bears", and 'Da Cubs", and "Da White Soxs"; with a crazy "graffiti" bathroom. The one on 30th, has a smaller dining area. I've been to both. Both have really good food and a relaxed friendly vibe. Hope to see you here! We are regulars!

My first time here after hearing about it so many times from friends. Knowing the time it takes to make a whole pizza and my first time trying this place, I figured why not just try a few slices. It's a small restaurant with some seating inside as well as out on the sidewalk. Plenty of street parking. I knew they are known for their Chicago style pizza, but they also have NY Style thin crust pizza. I'm more of a thin crust than deep dish person but I wanted to try their Chicago style and compare the two so I ordered a slice of pepperoni of both. I didn't wait long before my slices were ready. Both looked delicious and I wanted to try the thin slice first, but it was so hot I decided to try the deep dish slice first. Surprisingly, the deep dish slice wasn't nearly as hot as the thin slice; matter of fact, it was just barely warm so a bit of a disappointment there. My first bite and I realized how much cheese they use! It was melted perfectly with the cheese getting very stringy as I took bites. But for a pepperoni slice, there was hardly any pepperoni. Actually maybe only two slices of pepperoni on this slice of pizza. Lots of sauce but the sauce wasn't anything special. Next, onto the thin slice. Again, the cheese is great! Quite a bit of cheese and it stretches as you take a bite. The crust is good, but a bit overcooked. Maybe when you get a pizza freshly baked it isn't so overcooked, but the reheated slice is a bit overcooked. And like the deep dish, the sauce isn't anything special. And for a "NY Style" pizza slice, they are quite small when compared to a true slice of NY pizza. Overall, good pizza but not the best I've ever had. As for a Chicago deep dish style, I have had better here in San Diego and same goes for their NY style pizza. If you come here, I'm sure you'll be satisfied but it's really just "okay" pizza.

Delicious pizza! The staff was so nice and funny. The gentleman waiting on me even offered to cut my sons thin crust up into small squares for him. He was so helpful! I had the spicy meatball artichoke thin crust and my husband and son has the thin crust pizza. No one was disappointed! I want the deep dish next time :). There isn’t much indoor seating but there’s a few small tables outside. If you’re a big family you might want to get your food to go. Would go back!!

...or maybe the food tastes this bad every night. We decided to try Lefty's based on the great reviews. My BF ordered two slices of the deep dish pizza and I ordered a "char grilled" chicken sandwich. My BF said his pizza was meh and my chicken sandwich was awful. It fell apart, the chicken tasted like a Tyson frozen chicken breast. Exit stage left, I won't come back here again.

Our family stopped there. It was some of the best pizza that we have had. The serve was great an didn't have to wait long for our food.

Awesome Deep-Dish Pizza!

Pizza sauce was sour and too bitter.. Pizza was re heated and crust was too hard almost burnt due to reheating .. Service was good but one of the cashiers was drinking a beer while taking orders .. Had a real hippie vibe to it

Absolutely the best Chicago pizza in San Diego - right in the heart of North Park! Get the two slices and soda deal. Its legit! Try it!

mmm...deep crust specialty pizzas or custom with sun drieds, elephant garlic & kalmata olives is delish!!!

Lefty's on Goldfinch is legit! My Chicago family gives it thumbs up. Lauren is the *most* gracious and accommodating host! She took such personal care of our party. She took care of everything and made having my son's rehearsal dinner on the patio there as easy as could be. Everyone had a fantastic time and loved the thin-crust and deep-dish pizza, salads and all the beverages too. We even had gluten free options. She added extra tables for us and her staff was so efficient and fun. Highly recommend! Thank you, Lauren! You're the best!! <3

I was at a Charity Event on Sunday June 22, 2014 at Petco Park for the Padre game and Lefty's cater the Pizza for the function. Just to die for on all the thin & crispy pizzas they baked for the charity. They have two locations, one in Mission Hills and one also in North Park if you want the best Pizza in town! I also hear they have great sandwiches too...... Yum!

This was a pleasant surprise!! The food was great! We had the cheesy garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, and a deep and thin meaty pizza!! Way to much food for 4 people!! The cost was reasonable, the atmosphere was relaxed!! Would rec to anyone!!
