We had a few drinks several times on our stay. The service was great. The drinks were great. The atmosphere was great.

The Allegro outdoes other establishments when it comes to the complimentary cocktail hour in the lobby each evening. The hot bourbon cider in the winter and the Irish Whisky with Creme de Menthe on Saint Patrick's Day were awesome.

Popped in for a drink here while staying at the Allegro. Ordered an old fashioned which was well made and tasty. Nice bar staff and priced pretty on par with other hotel bars in the area.

My sister and I stayed at the Allegro, and visited the bar for two of the nights. Cocktails were fine, but the food was disappointing. We had the cheese and crackers plate (just okay) one night, and sandwiches the next. They seemed to be pre-made, and so a bit soggy.

Old school charm and romance, perfect date spot but could also work for a professional or business occasion, with a quiet elegant vibe. And the food is very good too, but the atmosphere is what draws you in.

A great hotel bar that always seems to draw a crowd, which is understandable from their incredible staff. Lucy - one of the bartenders - when she realized it was my birthday sang to me and made me feel at home on my business stay.

Omar and Rafael are great drink-makers and wonderful ambassadors for this hotel. Order a martini from this extremely friendly duo.

Loved the décor of this place. Very, very nice. was only in long enough for a drink or two as I was staying at another hotel but I will look into this place next time.

The menu at this restaurant offers a good variety that is not overwhelming. My meal was really good and the service was friendly, quick and good.

Great bar in the hotel lobby, that serves craft drinks. However, note that he bar is some where you start and not end your evening as it closed at 12 am on a Friday night.

The food is all pre-made and just average. There are plenty of better places to eat nearby. While convenient, it is not worth the price.

Loved this hotel bar, by far the best hotel bar I've been to. Great bartenders. They knew every drink that everyone at the bar was ordering. It was my birthday and they gave me a free drink to celebrate! The bartenders put on a great show when making each drink. I'll definitely be staying at this hotel again and going back to this bar!

Just stopped for a glass of wine on the way to my room. House chardonnay was $12 plus a tip. A bit pricey for me.

We stayed during the weekend of March 24 and 25, 2018. Rafa, Omar and Sandy Gallagher (Prosecco Princess) gave me and my friends a great experience in Chicago. They were friendly, accommodating and gave great recommendations to go out after we enjoyed our prosecco happy hour. They went above and beyond for my friends and I and I look forward to returning on my next trip to Chicago.

They have nice TVs inside fancy mirrors. The snacks are delicious, and they have a wide range of cocktails. Don't forget to ask for Rafa and Omar!

Any bar that hosts a free hour of all you can drink Prosecco is ok in my book. Gorgeous comfy seating and decor made this the best spot to be in the whole hotel.

The bar has a reasonable number of options, limited draft beer selection, but several small gathering spaces to have a quiet conversation with just two or with a small group.

We only had beer and wine, but other patrons liked their drinks. Would not make a special trip to this bar, but if staying in the Kimpton Allegro it is good for a nightcap.

My wife and I were tired after a long weekend of sightseeing so grabbed some dinner in the hotel restaurant. I had a ribeye, which was solid and my wife had some branzino. The servers were very attentive, and the prices were reasonable.

bartenders are so great. They are able to make anything for you. i told them to chose a drink for me and it was so good

Good food and friendly service. The drinks were poured well. The prices are a little high for the amount of food you receive, but that's typical of a hotel restaurant. We like to sit and enjoy watching the people walking by.

Bar was good. Bar staff knowledgeable about wines and very friendly. Only odd thing the bar shut at 11pm on a Wednesday night.

Everything you order is outstanding , especially the steaks ... tender, tasteful and melts in your mouth . Salads are fresh, light and a great start to your meal.

This is probably the most convenient place to get a drink before going to a show at the Cadillac Theater. The drinks were reasonable and they have a nice selection of signature and traditional cocktails. Add Death's Door Gin and you will get five stars from me.

Very nice open bar during happy hour. Very open atmosphere with lots of places to sit and visit. Fairly expensive given the wine selections.

Great drinks and food lively crowd. Attentive bar staff. Casual and friendly patrons. Love the lounge area excellent seating for singles, couples and large groups.

Good Attentive Staff, food was reasonable. Fresh orange juice was nice. Minimal wait time for food in the morning.

I enjoyed a night cap before retiring to my room. The bartenders were most gracious and seemed to enjoy waiting on me.

Bar Allegro features a variety of drink options and has a happy hour special every day. The bar opens at 4pm and is open late into the evening. Definitely a great spot to grab a drink so you don't have to brave the cold weather.

We met some other couples at Bar Allegro prior to heading off to a show. The staff was efficient and friendly. The drink prices are a bit higher, but not out of the ordinary for a downtown location.

Nice atmosphere and ambiance, with comfortable areas to sit with friends. Lucy the bartender is very welcoming.

Decent atmosphere, friendly bar staff. Good choice of beverages and selection of bar snacks. Especially popular with hotel guests of which the establishment is part, plus gets very busy when the adjacent theatre is showing at either end of a performance.

fun place to sit and enjoy a drink before dinner. plenty of room with lots of seats. Conveniently located in the lobby right by the elevators.

Love craft cocktails and "vintage" style cocktails so this bar is perfect for me! In the lobby area of the Hotel Allegro. I also enjoyed their were sparkling options within reasonable price range by the glass!

Chauvinist bartender will serve female patrons only after every single guy at the bar has placed his order, no matter how long you've been waiting. It's really disgusting -- I've never experienced anything like it. Not even in Italy, not even in Spain. Gross.
wonderful cocktails, incredible service
This small bar nestled in the lobby of the Hotel Allegro has a wonderful, unique cocktail menu and a wide range of choices for the cocktail connoisseur. The service is top notch, almost never a wait for a drink, even when full to capacity. Kind, caring bartenders who learn your preferences and recommend new drinks to try! Loved it!
