EASY TO REACH FROM THE 101 AND WORTH THE TRIP

By Kris W |

I don't understand why these other people are complaining about parking. The whopping $2 was no more than metered parking would be elsewhere in the city. A truly eclectic menu, with plenty of variety, I tried a dish I'd never heard of and can't remember the name of: Poached eggs in a delicious, slightly spicy tomato "stew". Loved it! My friend ordered a huge vegetarian salad. We followed up with very good cheesecake and creme brulee. The food was noteworthy, the service cool, but efficient. The cafe itself is pretty, but noisy (they need to soften the hard interior walls with something to absorb the noise level). NOTE: Pay attention to their hours. They close at 3, with no dinner, some days, but are open for dinner on others.

Very Good - Have Breakfast All Day

By Dawn D |

We had breakfast at 2 pm and really enjoyed having this as an option. All of the food was very good and the service was great too. We took some French Macarons to go and they were excellent as well. All around, really enjoyed our visit!

Good home-style restaurant

By SoCalTraveler91356 |

South of Ventura just West of where the 101 goes over Ventura. Small parking lots on either side, some street parking. Valet at times, $3. Not a huge menu, but good variety. We had the chicken and the steak dinners. Both very good. Service very good. No liquor license, but you can bring in wine. (Perhaps beer, liquor? Check first.) Dinner for two, including salad, $53. Outdoor patio; watch the sunset or watch traffic on Ventura.

Poor food and service

By Carol F |

This used to be a great place to eat. Now it is noisy, dogs everywhere and food and service poor. Very disappointing.

Pleasant Breakfast

By texascouple21 |

Have been here several times and have eaten both inside and on the patio. The patio wins--had better (more attentive) service. The menu is varied and well priced for California. Inventive presentation. Over all, a very good place to have breakfast and I'll be trying lunch sometime soon.

Nice Brunch place .

By Chetan G |

One of the better Veggie burgers that I have had in a long time. Sitting outside for brunch on a nice sunny weekend morning felt relaxing.

Nice Breakfast Spot

By Foodie Sunny ☀️ |

Conveniently located on Ventura Blvd off the 101. The french toast with Nutella is amazing! A must have! Enjoy.

Restaurant will not disappoint

By s_traveler050 |

The spouse and I finally decided to try this restaurant. (Nevermind the fact that we reside only blocks away) Parking: You can find parking on the street. If you have to use Valet, it is $3.50 Restaurant: Small with a nice patio area. It has the feel of a trendy, small cafe. Food: We started out with a beet salad. It was large enough to share and was delicious! We both ordered entrees and while the food was nicely prepared and presented, it was kinda of light on the amount of food. Prices: Reasonable. Our dinners were $13.95 each. Their breakfast menu looked wonderful and there were many GF choices, which I appreciated. Overall, this restaurant will not disappoint. The food is good, the prices comparable and the location is just off of Ventura Blvd. so it isn't too noisy or crazy to park.

Lovely place !!

By Estina718 |

Very cute, quaint and friendly, family restaurant. Although extremely busy our waitress was very nice and attentive. Food was extremely tasty and well prepared. I was upset I couldn't eat it all because I was too full. The pricing is reasonable. The parking is fairly scarce but if you don't mind walking, you can find parking in a residential area nearby. The restaurant does offer valet parking.

A top spot in the valley for foodies and families

By evilexis |

We visited Leo & Lily all the time (at least once every 2 weeks) until we moved from LA a few months ago. They have great cuisine for the healthy minded, a fantastic kids menu, wonderful macaroons for the un-healthy minded, a wonderful chicken breast on quinoa, lots of great salads, and are a truly a break from all the chain restaurants in the valley. Service is attentive and good, atmosphere is nice with indoor and outdoor seating options, and a coffee bar. very crowded during lunch hour on the weekdays. valet parking.

Great Food and Service

By Mehrzad M |

The Food as well as the Service is awesome. Our experience has always been great. Great location. Highly recommend the place.

Creative, delicious food, very well-priced.

By pflagdad |

We have breakfasted, brunched, lunched and dinnered a few times now at Leo & Lilly. We will keep coming back to this local gem. Creative, delicious menu, promptly served. Fish dishes are excellent (my tuna dinner was perfect). It eclipses Cafe Bizou for quality and price-performance, which is very hard to do. Terrific bread. Terrific bread-pudding for dessert. You can bring your own wine with no corkage fee!! Only negative is no alcohol service (minor). Go...........

Stunningly Good Pancakes

By ndearman10 |

Came here on the recommendation of family - brilliant choice. The banana pancakes were amazing and a must-order. The service was also superb. The only downside was the $4 valet parking as the road nearby was completely full! Regardless I'll definitely come again when next back in LA.

NOT LIKING PRICE INCREASES!!

By JanLosAngeles |

We do like this place, however, all of a sudden all their prices have increased up to the next dollar if not more..they already had pretty aggressive prices and now they are too high IMO...$11.00 for three eggs, w/ toast and potatoes..$14.00 for fritatta..way more than Marmalade in Calabasas, (which is $12.50 for a similar fritatta/omelet and has cool atmosphere, garden)..still a cute place but don't like high price increases!

The Perfect Breakfast spot in the Valley

By David K |

Great food and service. The quality of the ingredients used are really quite high. We shared the huevos rancheros which were the best I have ever had and the smokin hot omelet which was a special that day and was a great mix of ghouda cheese and sausage and eggs. Even the coffee here is extra delicious.

Great food and staff!

By GivemeaTfortravel |

We ate here during most of our stay in LA. The breakfasts are awesome and the staff is so friendly. We are returning to LA in Feb and look forward to eating here again!

Breakfast 👍

By atmana |

Good fresh food with smile The thing i did not like there long time to bring the food we ordered The coffee os hot and strong i loved it

Excellent breakfast, fresh ingredients

By JKraz |

I recently visited Leo & Lily and found the breakfast terrific! I got the eggs benedict which was alittle different from the standard. I like how they put their individual touches to each meal. It had turkey bacon under the eggs, braised leeks on top of the eggs & garnished with "petit" basil, the hollandaise was good....no box mix here!! The homefries that come with the meal were diced real small, very cute, and delish! Parking, however....I did pay for valet. It's probably the only downside to this lovely place. Definately worth it!

Nice and simple

By Bano foto |

We went on a Sunday. Maybe this is why parking was an issue and the restaurant was quite full. It is a small place and seems to be prefered by young people or couples with small children. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. And the food was very good! I admire the servers who kept a smiley face among all the hustle and bustle.

Good food

By faby99 |

First time eating here, good food, I had the eggs Benedict. The kitchen had a hiccup with our food, took about 1/2 hour to get our food. The wait sucked, but the food was good. Will probably go eat there again.

Best dirty chai ever!

By vegout2 |

I dined at Leo & Lily this morning and I must write this review about my fantastic breakfast. I ordered the Ben’s French Toast and dirty chai. Wowza!!! The French toast was unlike any I’ve had before. It’s coated with a crunchy topping and served on top of a Nutella Crème. It also has a banana butterscotch mousse. It’s not overly sweet but does feel very decadent. The portion is definitely large enough to share. I read about their dirty chai and had to try it to taste for myself. Holy cow! I’m not even a chai fan and this drink will knock your socks off. It’s a combo of chai and espresso served with a mini baby biscotti. I forgot to order it with nonfat milk so it was particularly rich and creamy. Good thing I don’t live nearby or else I would gain 100 lbs eating here.

Top 3 Breakfast in the Valley!

By Doug H |

This neighborhood institution does an amazing job of maintaining its quality year after year after year! When thinking about Leo and Lily, there really are only two words you need to know... French Toast!!! It really is amazing!!!! That is not to say the omelets, salads and sandwiches aren't great... they are... but the French Toast is insane!!! Don't let the parking situation fool you either... even though passing by it looks like there is very little parking, the valet is great and they get guests in and out of there lickety-split!

Excellent Food, We loved this place!

By TanyaSha |

My son and I had breakfast here every day during three days we spent in the area. It was absolutely delightful experience each and every time. The food was delicious and well presented, the staff was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about gluten free diet. The menu has a lot of gluten free options. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back when visit this area again.

Great food & friendly service

By GiuseppeGuarneri |

My lady and I went there for breakfast. The food was outstanding and the service was top notch. I love their menu. It's very upscale. If you want to go for a nice breakfast or lunch, give them a try!

Great Experience!

By David G |

Part of your dining experience is the service. Our waitress was engaging and fun as she scurried amongst the lunch crowd filled tables. Our friend had been there for breakfast recently so we decided to try out their lunch menu. Everything was delicious. I had the special salad of the day. It looked a bit light for my hearty appetite but was delicious and I did not go away hungry. My friends had a cobb salad and the turkey burger with sweet potatoe fries (well done!). The accompanying aioli sauce was amazing (we had to order extra it was so good!)

Casual, bistro-feel hangout

By Ms-Feather |

Healthy, good quality foods, extensive drink- and sweets menu. No alcohol though, but you can bring your own if you like. Ideal place for late lunches, a casual meeting place for picky-eaters, or a better version of Starbucks for catching up with a friend over coffee/tea and a nice piece of lemon tart. When they are busy, they have valet service, but you can use their small parking lot and the street at other times. We rode our bikes there before, and even though they lack a formal bike rack to lock bikes to, it was easy to find a spot to store our bikes, and keeping an eye on them while we dined on the patio.

Ben's French Toast

By Matt Blum |

Been coming here for years when I'm lucky enough to have some free time for breakfast in LA. Start with a cappuccino (served with a mini biscotti) and move along to Ben's French Toast... don't forget the fresh berries 😉

Lovely & Relaxing

By Chloe D |

I went with some friends for lunch and it was great food. We all really enjoyed our meals and the service was good. Friendly staff and always checked up on us to see how things are. I would definitely go again!

Really?

By Aidenmud |

Saturday morning without a waiting line. That should of been our first clue. Our waitress was distracted and took forever to bring the food we ordered and was not apologetic. No it was not a slow kitchen, the guests around us got their food before even if they did come in after us. The food once it did come was bland or burnt. Shame on a breakfast place that burns pancakes. Also I hope you like fries, because chopped up French fries is their version of hashbrowns. Needless to say we are not recommending this place.

Very Good Place for Breakfast and Lunch

By Avner P |

American and Mediterranean restaurant. Quinoa Breakfast Bowl and Shakshuka, Excellent food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Pleasant place to eat.

Awesome Breakfast, Adorable Setting, Excellent Service

By Nancy D |

Met out of town friends at Leo & Lily and we all LOVED this place. Everything on the menu sounded so good, it was tough to decide what to eat. The drip coffee was excellent. The lattes my friends ordered were also fabulous. (See photo!) It appears that this place, at least for breakfast does not serve red meat. They have turkey bacon/duck options that all sound yummy. Crazy - I ordered the oatmeal with was ladled with dried & fresh fruit. It was Great. The portions are so large, I brought 1/2 of my friend's frittata home home for a later meal. I don't live close by - but I can't wait to go back. Prices were more than fair for the high quality of food. I highly recommend this place.

Hidden Gem

By NY2LARN |

Loved everything , great bread basket, delicious frittatas.Delicious coffee and teas, fantastic hot chai. Clean. Fantastic Service really spot on. On the list as a favorite.

Mmm breadbasket

By Halle H |

Love this place breakfast till 3! Great coffee and order bread basket! Parking is all valet so be prepared always busy.

Country French Comfort Food

By LetsGoWithStyle |

Although the setting is just off crazy-busy Ventura Blvd., the restaurant has a relaxed, friendly, inviting, European homespun vibe. Fresh ingredients, well-prepared and seasoned, delicious choices. Vegetarian friendly with wonderful carnivore options. I tried the Shakshuka (tomatoes, peppers, onions topped with a poached egg), she had eggplant Parmesan (pesto, oven dried tomatoes, buratta cheese, basil, on ciabatta with a side salad). How much did I like it? Within a week I came back with another friend and I will return again.

Lovely restaurant, helpful staff, neighborhood local, food could be better

By davemabe |

I decided to try this as I had seen it several times while driving Ventura Blvd. I stopped for breakfast. The menu is adequate and they focus on organic egg dishes. No pork products are served -- so forget pork bacon or sausages. I ordered eggs over easy which later found the kitchen could not do so well as they came out over medium. No toast was served, just one heated slice of bread. I had to ask for butter & jelly. Coffee was good and was asked if I wanted refills frequently. I later discovered since it was my first visit that they do have specials they recommend for breakfast; be sure to ask about them!

Cute cafe

By Mspeppers |

My husband and I dined at Leo & Lily's with some friends in early February 2015 for an early dinner. This is a cute cafe with both indoor and patio seating. We went at about 5 p.m. so it was not crowded at all. The food was surprisingly good but was a little pricey considering the casual atmosphere. We shared the portobello fries, fries sampler, and chicken wings. The portobello fries were by far the best. The wings were just average with a yogurt and dill sauce. Six small wings per order. I had the roasted salmon with bulgur which was very tasty, although there were far too many kalamata olives for my taste. My husband had the spaghetti with meatballs which had a light flavor. Nothing like Italian spaghetti with meatballs which typically has a more robust flavor. The turkey tenderloin was very moist and enjoyed by our friend. They offer dessert but the selection was small that day. There is no alcohol served here. Overall, a nice experience. Dinner for four was about $140. We would go there again if in the area.

CUTE LITTLE SPOT, GREAT FOOD!

By JanLosAngeles |

Breakfast was very good, had egg white veggie frittata w/salad..very tasty and served in wedges..good salad as well..hubby had salmon benedict that he liked also..latte was delish! Service was very good, waitress was attentive..place gets crowded for sure, multiple patio areas, cute indoors as well. Prices not cheap, about average to high.

Best Breakfast in town

By love2travel420 |

Great service and good food. Not a huge menu but it has everything you're looking for. The french toast, eggs benedict and their coffees are awesome. They offer cheap valet parking so no need to look for spots, just pull up and enjoy.

Cute Woodland Hills Eatery

By Andieji |

This place stands out in a land filled with chain restaurants. The food is fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is nice. Happy to have found this little place. I shall return!

Obscure location, but worth the trip,

By CookingMama1 |

Came here for lunch with some friends...if you blinked, you'd miss it...it's off Ventura Blvd before you hit Shoup. You don't have any choice but to valet park...parking is terrible. It has a very quaint outdoor and indoor seating area. Breakfast is served till 3 pm! Need I say more?!? I has the Whole Wheat FrenchToast...wow! All 3 slices were encased in almonds! You have to have the berries to go with it! It was amazing! Great menu! I will definitely be back!!!

Yummy breakfast, average service

By Renee C |

This is a small and sweet place amongst a busy Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills. Food was prepared well and tasted delicious. I ordered the Multigrain Cinnamon Pancakes with real maple syrup, berries and walnuts. I was not disappointed! Service can be slow or unpredictable. We had three dining at our table and we did have to wait for a while to get our check. Parking is tricky; they do have valet parking, which I thought was kind of interesting given that it's a small cafe. But the valet was convenient for our friend. The cafe is within walking distance of the Holiday Inn Express and Suites where we stayed.

Pretty noisy

By Jerry B |

We had brunch here and the food was just OK. Nothing special. It's a small space so the noise level can be a bit high. The service was good. Parking is a drawback. If you can't find anything on the street, there is a $2.00 valet.

Great little restaurant

By Anita D |

We went to have breakfast on May 30th. We wanted to have breakfast nearby our hotel and found this great place. It was delicious. Highly recommended.

Delicious Café Cuisine

By RabbiWendy |

The food is consistently good here, if a bit pricey. I usually order breakfast, even for lunch. The omlettes are delicious, served with tiny cubed and seasoned potatoes or fresh green salad.

except for the noise level and parking I thought it was a great place

By |

this was recommended highly by a local merchant. It was lunchtime and the street parking was taken, so we valeted. The restaurant has a great menu of healthy foods and will accomodate requests in substitutions. The service was good and everyone was pleasant. The price was within the expected for the area.

Like our own neighborhood bistro

By Ron G |

We're lucky that this restaurant is less than a 5-minute drive from our home. Leo & Lilly is known for its breakfast, lunch or brunch but my wife and I come here for dinner semi-frequently. Everything on the menu is very tasty. The most expensive dinner menu item is about $15,95, which is reasonable. And, for wine lovers like us, the best of all is that there is no corkage fee! Let me repeat that - NO CORKAGE FEE. So we enjoy consistently tasty dinners and bring our own favorite bottles of wine and escape with a bill around $50. For me, that counts as a win.

So much potential

By BCMCLover |

Food was really good. Interesting, with a healthier theme....but not all that healthy. Clean and fresh. Inside so so noisey..yelling twenty somethings who talk too loudly in public and TNT of small children. Patio is better, but they had the misters on before it was hot enough so sitting outside just got you all wet. Service fair ...the busboys were terrific, servers seemed a little overwhelmed. Food came out fast and was hot. Avocado toast with poached eggs rocked. Italian omelet ....little too much broccolini. But yummy. They have the bet bread ever. And it's small and cute. A lot of people walk there for a lazy Sunday brunch. But the noise! We will go back, but on a less busy day.

Business breakfast

By choz06 |

Great little place but I hate that they charge you $4 to valet park. You can park around the corner for free. Very nice place and friendly wait staff. I had the chocolate chip pancakes with bananas and strawberry’s. So good and my friend had the Nutella pancakes that he said were ridiculous good. Nice menu. I would go back if I was in town again.

Like Mother Used to Cook

By SoCalTraveler91356 |

Basic American fare, like Mother used to make, with some updates. I had flank steak with string fries. Very Good. Others had eggplant, chicken, etc. All very good. Service was good. Outdoor patio very nice. Awesome desserts. No beer, wine or liquor. You can bring your own. We brought two bottles of wine. No corkage fee. Free parking, plus street parking. $106 for

Lovely food!

By caldance |

We went for breakfast before the crowds with three young children, and ate on the heated patio. We had the BEST salmon benedict, the French omelet special, three kids' breakfasts with pancakes and eggs, and an egg white omelet. Their coffee is wonderful and served with the cutest little biscotti. The food is all prepared with great finesse; everything was really delicious. When we go to IHOP for breakfast, the kids leave a lot of their food on their plate, here the kids (and us) didn't want to leave until every crumb was eaten.

best brunch place in the area

By HollowTurtle |

Very nice restaurant with great food, reasonable prices and lively fun location. I appreciated the mist cooling on the hot summer days. You can find parking on the street behind the restaurant if you don't mind walking a bit. The valets will park your car there too.

Bring your wallet

By Zena J |

The food is high quality and delicious. The Left Side breakfast sandwich was filling and scrumptious. Atmosphere was delightful and the service was impeccable. The only negative is the pricing. The sandwich is priced at $13.00, the same as steak and eggs. At least the portions are large.

Delicious Food...

By deb a |

Very fresh food ad good customer service. Relaxed atmosphere. What a good treat, breakfast sandwiches are all good.

Excellent Breakfast!

By Sue J |

A friend and I had breakfast here today. Both the food and the service was excellent and so was the coffee. I had the portabella benedict and the hollandaise sauce was one of the best I've ever had. We got there just after 8 am when they opened and it wasn't long before they were super busy and their valet parking was filling up. Nice patio areas and even though their address is on Ventura Blvd., they are set back on a small street so you can sit on the patio without being subjected to busy street traffic.

Food was a B, service was B-

By melobeam |

The skinny: Parking: street parking is scarce, valet available Decor: plain Jane Service: not that friendly Food: just ok (also no pork products served here) We sat outside on the patio and its in a pretty bleak area of Ventura blvd. One side is a parking lot, the other a strip mall and the third side is a run down apartment bldg. I ordered a turkey burger and a salad. The turkey burger had a lot of goat cheese and a lot of sauce so the bread gets soggy. At least it was home made and not a frozen patty. The salad was basic mixed lettuce- nothing special. The desserts in the bakery case looked good, maybe I should have had that.

The Grand Kids liked it alot

By 385eileenz |

Took the two teenage girls to Leo & Lily as they were familiar with it and my first time. It was a late lunch and being vegan found something I could eat. The girls loved the Avocado toast and grilled cheese with fries. Parking is extremely limited and they have a small lot with a charge. Service was fine as the restaurant was half empty and our waitress was sweet and friendly. Prices were like any restaurant on Ventura Blvd., and the food appeared fresh. I am rarely in that extreme western part of the valley so unless the girls wanted to go back, I likely wouldn't drive there just for a meal.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

By tracy g |

Had the most amazing birthday breakfast here for two reasons: 1) the food was phenomenal! I had the Burrata Toast and a glass of champagne and 2) our waitress Alexandra was AMAZING! She really went above and beyond to make my birthday start off beautifully! We will definitely be back!

Poor service

By ILoveFoodComa |

The Service: 2 servers working on the front. They might not be super attentive because many of tables they have to take care. There is also patio seating area. The Food: The food was served quickly. Spicy Fries - shoestring, not too crispy. Spicy Chicken Wings - very tender & juicy! Beets Salad - big pieces of beets, love it. Good portion for the price they charge. The Parking: Street parking (FREE)

Healthy cafe

By Randy2353 |

Tried get in here a few times, had to take a pass, parking is horrible. Always seems crowded. We had the smoked salmon sandwich ($10.95) and the meatloaf Panini($11.25) for lunch with their healthy ice teas($3). A good lunch. Service was good, a bit rushed since it was crowded. Café inside was a bit crowded, loud and tight seating. They have a counter deli which takes up room in the dining area. Overall, a nice café if you can find a place to park even with valet. Seems to have a bit younger hip crowd following, but overall it's just ok for the hassle.

recommend to visit!

By Galina A |

Really like food and service in this small but very cozy place. We tried practically everything and it was all great. We love mushrooms, lamb, salads. All drinks are great and they even serve Stevia that I like. Very nice to seat outdoors. it was easy with parking before, it used to be free, then $2, I think that last time paring was $5.May be you will got lucky and find free place.

I Love This Place

By Nancy D |

Funny. I ate here for the first time in 12/2012. And, I ate here for the second time today, one year later. This place was chosen because it is in the middle of where my friend and I live. If it was closer to my home, I would eat here much more often. The food is yummy and presented beautifully. The Greek omelet I consumed today was quite tasty. Good strong coffee. The hostess and wait staff are super friendly and do a good job. This place is a winner. They have valet parking. You can also park at meters on Ventura Blvd. or down the adjacent side street...to save a few dimes. In this case, you may have to walk a block. Enjoy.

A Hidden Gem!

By Shotz51 |

My brother, who lives in the area took me to this great find! Healthy, yet scrumptious. Had the traditional eggs benedict, hardly traditional at all! Hard to choose from all the tempting menu items. Coffee was great. Can't wait to go back!

Yummy Breakfast

By Julie R |

Breakfast sitting outside was comfortable and very good. The place is bright with lots of options for breakfast and lunch, as well as a coffee bar and pastries option. Average prices. Will definitely be back. Valet parking is generally required for $2 plus a tip.

A pleasant restaurant in the valley.

By erezn |

This place specializes with breakfast. It is owned by former Israeli couple and hence the menu includes medeternian dishes. The food was ok. Not more. Dishes are modest in size and the price for a breakfast is arround 10$ not imclouding juice or ccoffee.

Outstanding Food and Service!!!

By TravelisMe |

This was the second time I went to Leo and Lily and I need to go more often. No matter what you get, it is a culinary work of art and so good. Each dish is so fresh and well put together. I had the homemade granola with yogurt and berries and it was delicious. I also had an egg sandwich with avocado on a whole wheat panini that was amazing. You can sit outside and enjoy the great vibe. It should also be noted that the service is very good and friendly. Josh was our server and was so nice. You won't regret going here.

It's good

By kisssmee |

I came here many many years ago so it was nice to try this place out again. You can join the Yelp wait list to alleviate the wait time which is always a plus. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor dining. They have breakfast and lunch dishes. I had Crab Cake Benedict with salad and I enjoyed it a lot. However, I was a little surprised when my Benedict didn't come in an English muffins. I got an even better surprise because the crab cake was used as the bread part. Mmm perfect. The sale was fresh and I loved the light dressing on it. If you're lucky there's street parking or valet parking for $5.

Best brunch in town

By AnitaNewportBch |

Ten of us descended on this lovely restaurant on Sunday, they were unfazed. Our server, Ally, smiled through the entire time as she attended to all our needs and dealt with our noisy group. The food and the selection is wonderful. Everyone was delighted with their choices and we all ate heartily. Even the bread basket was filled with an assortment of delicious breads, accompanied by jams and jellies and crumbled herbed feta cheese. This is a well known foodie's haunt so going early and being prepared to wait are part of the cost. Also $2 valet as self parking is impossible. Worth every moment and definitely would go all the way back again for a repeat.

charming, good food, pleasant

By abst14 |

My husband found this place the day before and wanted to bring me the next morning. Loved the decor and ambiance. Casual chic...food was good, nothing extravagent but nicely prepared. Staff were friendly. Only difficulty was parking.

Don't order online unless you want to be double charged

By Bill M |

Very disappointed in this restaurant! I placed an online order and they double charged me. They charged me online and upon pick up. The owner said she would reverse the double charge and didn't. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and they are still fighting over a mistake the restaurant made. All in all very discouraged and will not be back. Very very bad customer service!

A lovely experience

By Sheryl P |

We met our daughter and her boyfriend here, at their suggestion. What a lovely place. Great menu, great preparation and great presentation! There is quite a bit of outdoor seating with overhead shade--absolutely wonderful in this temperate, early-June, SoCal weather. Our server was very attentive and efficient; I wish I remembered her name. The downsides of Leo and Lily-- 1. It is crammed into a tiny space just off Ventura Blvd. Parking is a challenge, although they do have valet parking, if you're willing to pay. 2. If you eat outside (one of the main draws of this restaurant), you will have to endure the noisy revving of motorcycles along Ventura Blvd., but they don't go by too terribly often. All in all, L&L has taken a small piece of property that some might have deemed unusable and they've turned it into a lovely hideaway with great food. We'll be back.

Love their breakfast crispy French toast with butterscotch mousse is just out of this world and the wait staff is very friendly I highly recommend this place

Charming local breakfast place!

By CLynn99 |

We highly recommend this cute local place. Lots of outdoor seating and excellent breakfast and coffee. The side salad is a healthy and yummy alternative to the usual breakfast potato. All fresh ingredients in the frittata and breakfast sandwich.

Everything we had was excellent!

By bstorm |

This restaurant has a nice bright interior and a large covered porch for outside dining. The menu is not huge, but has a nice variety of creative options. We went on a Saturday around noon. It was very busy, but we only had a short wait to be seated. It was mouth watering to watch all the full plates heading to other tables. The menu has so many tempting items, it was hard to decide. We ordered the cinnamon multigrain pancakes, eggs benedict and a grilled veggie panini. The pancakes with chopped pecans inside were the size of the dinner plate. The flavor was just like butter pecan ice cream. The eggs benedict were perfectly cooked with exceptionally good hollandaise sauce and roasted tomatoes over ciabatta. The panini had a very fresh layer of pesto with lots of grilled veggies and what looked like sliced onion, but turned out to be shaved fennel. Everything was really delicious! The coffee drinker at our table said the coffee was some of the best he had ever tasted. I'm ready to go back for more!

Great Israeli style breakfast.

By Mark S |

Best shakshuka in town! The feta cheese with bread basket is a nice touch. Very friendly service. Too bad the outdoor view is not more appealing.

Great Food

By Misty K |

My husband and I have driven by Leo and Lily many times. Parking is just horrible and we end up just going somewhere else. Today we decided we were going to try again. We found parking on the street at 1:30 in the afternoon. Regardless of the time of day this place is so busy. The food is great and is served quickly. Lots of healthy or non-health items.. you pick. The restaurant can be very loud and seating is close together. I don't mind and actually enjoyed the energy. I had the chicken kale salad and my husband had the turkey sandwich. Both were very good.
