Little Fatty is a new wave Chinese restaurant designed around three cocktail bars. The food was delicious. The six of us tried a number of dishes: --Scallion pancake: crunchy and chewy --Wontons --Orange chicken: crispy and tasty --Chinese BBQ pork --Taiwanese Sunday gravy --XO Fatty noodles --Asian greens --Sizzling black pepper beef We accompanied our meal with well-made cocktails (they have an extensive back bar). The service was great.

Just reviewed this. It's a great venue for bao! And for all dim sum lovers, I think the menu will work.

My family and I went to this unassuming Resturant on the advice of insidehook.com. Fatty’s did not disappoint. We could have ordered 1 of everything on the menu and we would still want more. The service was fantastic and we were taken care of most perfectly. We live in AZ but we can’t wait until life takes us back to Fatty’s

I stopped in for a quick lunch and the very friendly server recommended the XO Fatty dish, since I wanted to try their house-made noodles (or should I call it pasta?). The dish was very fresh and I could sort of see it being made by the chef. It was very tasty and I ate all of it. Taiwan beer is reasonable at just $5. I will come back with family/friends to try other dishes. I would have given it a 5 star review, but I wish the chef would use plastic gloves when grabbing items to add to his stir fry. I was also a little surprised that the prices for lunch were the same for some exact same dinner items.

The food was delicious. I had the asian greens the kung pao chicken the marinated cucumbers and the fatty noodles. I would recommend everything i had! Super fun spot, we ate on the Accomplice side. The vibe was chill and low lighting made for a cool Saturday night. The staff was polite, although while we were only half way through our bottle of wine the waitress had already brought the bill, but I guess they are used to quick turn arounds. Still highly recommend the food is worth it!

Get away from the trendy bar scene and check out one of LA's true original spots. It's the only thing in the area that's worth the drive and you will not have packs of club goers bar hopping anywhere nearby. If anything, you just might find people racing to get to the Post Office just across the street. The drinks are the attraction, tasty, colorful and with fun names. The "Big Fatty" Taiwanese comfort food comes from the take-out place next door and owned by the same folks. The fried cauliflower is worth the trip.

Loved the fat noodles and the Orange chicken ! Order was easy and quick. Place is relaxed nothing fancy which is great. Food is good!

Enjoyed all 4 dishes- tasty duck pizza- the crust is a scallion pancake (4 slices), delicious long beans, and yummy Taiwanese Sunday gravy (3 different types of pork and unusual pasts). Reasonable prices, large servings - more than enough for two of us- took leftovers home. Good service

The cocktails at Accomplice Bar are visually beautiful but also interesting flavor-wise. Lots of unusual ingredients. The food from Little Fatty looked like it would be “average Chinese carry out” but it was not. It was great, fast, and reasonable. The place was packed with locals with a line waiting for tables. It was nice you could order drinks and food in either place, joined at the back.

Great ambiance, food, and service. This is "30 ish American guys open a Chinese-Asian restaurant-Bar". Decor is your no table cloth, basic table, old building (looks great !) Bar place. But the food !!!! super tasty and different. Can't wait to go back. Make a res because it's very busy.

Little Fatty is a trendy and delightful spot, perfect for those with hearty appetites. The name might just be a clue to their generous portion sizes, making it an ideal place to bring all your foodie friends along. Their diverse menu caters to everyone, whether you're a non-drinker, vegetarian, or a serious meat lover. We ended up ordering more dishes, and the resulting leftovers were quite substantial. We savored the green onion fritters, cauliflower, fried rice, and beef, and every bite was incredibly flavorful. Rest assured, disappointment is unlikely here. If you plan to visit, I highly recommend making reservations as this place is always bustling with patrons. Once inside, take a moment to unwind, order a cocktail, and simply enjoy the fantastic dining experience!

We returned to Little Fatty and it was just as good as we remember. So unique and delicious and our server Sarah was great. By the way, they have a great Japanese whiskey selection which is unusual for a Chinese restaraunt. Great choices and prices. A for the food, we started with the amaizing pickle cucumbers which are a great way to begin. We loved the dumplings and the won ton to start. The friend rice with suasage is really good but the show stopper is for sure the pork shoulder with bow that you carve off the bone and eat taco style with all the fixins and wonderful sauces. We also loved the cawliflower which was the perfect vegetable side. By far the place and most innovative Chinese restaurant in LA!b

A bit noisy but wonderful food and very friendly staff. Also had Orange Chicken which was fantastic.

What a fun and cool place! The shrimp with walnuts are incredible. The xo noodles are the best in LA. The beef in scallions for dipping delicious and the cauliflower fantastic. Prices are reasonable and the drink menu creative. Really great experience!

Been to this place many times when I am in the area. It is a small but hopping place for Taiwanese Fusion type food. Everything from Fried Rice, Fried Cauliflower, Orange Chicken, Beef Roll to Pork Belly.... but not your everyday Chinese heavy battered food. Like I said this place puts a spin on all of them and they're all delicious! Prices are little higher than regular Chinese, but worth the difference. Full bar with beers, wines and drinks, well stocked. Always crowded for dinner so come early or wait. Street parking is good after 6pm...

Once again ! Fabulous food. Small dishes that every one of them is just perfect. This time I brought a chef with me who haven’t been there and he was so happy of all that good food. I’ll be back

Taiwanese inspired spot with great cocktails and tasty food. Had a reservation for 3 at 7:30 on a Thursday and got seated immediately. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Metered street parking is available, and if you park further down by the school, there’s free parking. There’s a gender neutral restroom in the left hand side of the restaurant by the bar. Credit cards are accepted or you can pay by QR code. Food wise, everything we ordered was delicious. The orange chicken is a must-do. The spicy wontons were tasty and the general tso’s cauliflower had great flavor. The squid ink xiao long baos just tasted like regular xiao long baos but did look cool. The popcorn quail didn’t have as much meat as you’d think but was very crispy. The XO fatty noodles were a good carb option (rice is extra). The nonalcoholic drinks were just as tasty as the regular cocktails (get the gin rummy which comes in a cat for a good photo opp!). Overall, a really cool spot to eat, drink, and be merry.

Don't order the har gow/ shrimp dumplings, they are not good. We love the beef noodles (very authentic) & Hainan chicken waffles (a twist on the traditional chicken). Lightly fried and oh so tasty,

Needed to calorie-up on our way to LAX and decided to try this place. It was great! Everything was exceptional--scallion pancake, mapo tofu, sizzling beef, fatty noodles, General Tso cauliflower. I wish we could have tried the cocktails, but no time and we were driving. Next time I plan a less hectic visit, and a broader sampling of the tempting menu. Great ambiance and service. I highly recommend!

We've been there for either lunch or dinner six times and have always had a good experience. The food is Taiwanese (which is somewhat like Cantonese but a little heavier; very tasty in a way different from Cantonese). We've tried most of the items on the menu (which changes occasionally) and there's nothing to avoid and, of course, the fatty noodles are to die for (has dried shrimp so a no-no for vegetarians). Unpretentious but well maintained interior and exterior appearance. There's an extension (space next door) that is connected by an opening at the far end of the restaurant which has a bar (oddly, it also has its own store name). Wait staff has some turnover so service can be erratic during busy hours. But the staff is always friendly. Nicely priced for lunch and rarely nicely priced for dinner.

We ate at the restaurant, though you can get food from the little fatty menu at the adjoining bar (accomplice). The great thing is that the bar menu works at the restaurant so you can get a pretty tasty cocktail with your Taiwanese comfort food. Scallion pancakes were terrific as was the fried rice. We got the hainan chicken which was also good but you have to be into the boiled chicken thing. Don’t get me wrong, it was super flavorful but I personally find the texture a bit too ‘soft’ for me. Husband and kiddo have no such qualms and declared it a winner. The dan dan noodles were also really good but super rich and on the spicy side. I would say this one is better shared as a little goes a long way. As for cocktails, I had the spicy margarita which was perfect. Not too sweet and it’s made with mezcal so it’s got that smoky flavor profile. Coronado, which was a play on a Manhattan. The place is a bit small and can get crack-o-lack’n so might be good to have a reservation.

We came here with no reservation based on the trip advisor reviews. The place was packed with a cool croud, loud music, and a fresh vibe. We waited at the bar for about 10 minutes for our table. The food was utterly delicious, the service was great everyone is very friendly. I highly recommend visiting and definitely make a reservation if you don't like waiting for a table.

This place has delicious food in a relaxed ambience. A real highlight was the squid ink xiou long bao, which was served with a lovely sauce. The prices were fair given the quality of the food. I'll definitely go back.

Dinner for 4: Wontons, long beans, Taiwanese Sunday Gravy noodles, and Chinese BBQ pork - this was fabulous- roasted pork shank, coleslaw and the bone to eat with lovely bao dough. Good service but we were seated on the bar side and the music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. Our last visit pre pandemic we sat on the other side- very quiet. Will ask to be there if visit agin.

Little Fatty is a small Taiwanese/nouveau eight or ten table venue in the now hip Mar Vista zone on the west side of L.A.. It's connected to a bar, called 'accomplice' (the lower case is part of the name, so you know it's hip). We came to Little Fatty by way of accomplice. Originally we just went to accomplice for drinks, planning on finding something to eat in this area afterward. But seeing that the two were connected, we just transferred our bar tab to the restaurant and moved into the next room. The service is excellent, the menu very simple and fresh. Great for vegetarians, and dim sum aficionados alike. I've been to Taipei, had bao at the original spots, and I have to say the Squid ink bao (black!) was superior to the home country's offerings. We shared a clay pot as well, and added rice. All portions of this meal were excellent. And the drinks from accomplice were also excellent. I highly recommend this, and the area, which is so hip, you'll see people smoking actual cigarettes in the street. Yes, it's that hip.

The crab fried rice had very generous portions of crab meat and it was very flavorful. The spicy cauliflower was also good.

Enjoyed the halibut, Asian twist, and the fried tofu here. Lovely neighborhood vibe. Good service and good food at a reasonable price.

What a great 'hole in the wall' neighborhood find! Food can be a little fatty/oily (haha hence the name) but everything is delicious and they serve the food in the Chinese take out containers. It's a small place so best for small groups.
Simply put, great Taiwanese food.
Little Fattys is an unpretentious go to spot for some fantastic Taiwanese inspired food. Have had a chance to try most of the dishes and they are all delicious so its up to you, something spicy? try the dan dan noodles, vegetarian, Cauliflower General Tso, Protein, BBQ Pork or Orange Chicken. Because the space is small and Little Fattys is popular you can expect some wait during peak times. But the Accomplice Bar is next door .
