Tonight we ate at Moby’s famous restaurant .. Little Pines. Small and stylishly elegant it has the most wonderful vibe as soon as you walk in the door . Having followed Moby on Instagram and Facebook for some time we were very eager to find the opportunity to visit his restaurant . The food is just as we had dreamed it would be .. hearty , delicious and mouth wateringly good . We shared the Panko Crusted Piccata ( AMAZING !!),the Polenta with vegan sausage and a basil and marinara sauce ( delicious ) , the Stuffed Shells with Vegan Mozzarella , heirloom tomato marinara and fresh basil ( oh YUM ) The banana cream pie was to die for ... make sure you have it no matter how full you are All in all .. we wish we could give this fantastic place 10 stars and even that would not be enough All the profit goes to Animals .. we love Moby and everything he is doing for the Animals and the planet .

We have been willing to go to little pine for a while, and finally we did! Boy was it a pleasant surprise. The food was exceptionally prepared, well balance of flavours with simple articulations without being too pretentious. The gnocchi were the highlights (seriously...delicious). But honestly all the dishes were great. Considering that all profits go to animal welfare, it makes it even better. Service very friendly and attentive. We will definitely return, again and again. One of, if not the best vegan restaurant we have ever been.

There is no meat to be had at Little Pine Restaurant and you won't miss it. If you are vegan or vegetarian, you will be in heaven. If you are not, you will not miss the meat and there are so many things to enjoy. The food is great. Little Pine is in Silverlake, so it may be a drive for some, but do it. SilverLake is fun anyway and if you are from out of town, this is one place owned by a musician that I think is wonderful. It is owned by Moby and all profits go to various animal welfare groups. Now that is cool. The service is friendly and fast. They can tell you all about the menu and what may be right for you. They have a wine list, but I did not partake, so I am not sure if it is good. They have the best asparagus and all the veggies are cooked just perfect. I love their flatbread and you must try their potato leek soup. The stuffed shells are divine. Leave room for desert because it is so yummy. They have crepes and berry crumbles that are so great. Have the best time.

We have wanted to get to Silver Lake to try Little Pine for some time now but its a bit inconveniently located from our Orange County home. We had high expectations. Little Pine exceeded those expectation. Great food, great service, nice vibe. Wine list lacked range but still had decent offerings. Everything we tried was flavorful, delicious, and they don't skimp on portions. We left full and happy. We went there after an afternoon at the Autry Museum - which was an informative and engaging. If the asparagus is still on the menu when you go (and you should go) and if you're a fan of this veggie you will love Little Pine's treatment. The flatbread was excellent as well. The gnocchi was bit mushy as it can sometimes be but it was still very flavorful. Take a non-vegan here and see if they notice not having meat.

My family and I loved Little Pine. So many fantastic vegan dishes, served family style, which is awesome. Each better than the next. Casual, comfortable, but stylized and contemporary. Loved everything we had, especially the panzanella salad, mushroom bourguignon, mushroom crostini, mac and cheese and most of all the amazing warm chocolate chip cookies and cashew milk. Absolutely the best end to a meal! Although I would try the Baked Alaska next time as well. We loved it so much we went back again during that same week. Fantastic!

Love this place. Been here a few times and have always enjoyed everything I've had. Great attention to detail. All the dishes are well balanced and delicious. Very fresh and decent portions. Relaxed atmosphere and pleasant staff. It's vegan too so you feel good afterward... :)

When visiting our daughter we try to accomodate her Vegan lifestyle, and that is sometimes difficult for we meat eaters. We were pleasantly surprised with Little Pine and enjoyed all the dishes ordered. The Gnocchi along with mac&cheese were excellent. We shared several veggie dishes and all were tasty and filling.

I'm in the process of transitioning to a plant based diet and discovered Little Pine while on vacation. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious! I wish they had a cookbook available so I could recreate their meals upon returning home. We tried and shared their egg salad sandwich and breakfast sandwich and loved them both. The cherry on top was our delightful server Larena! What a goldmine!

Small Vegan restaurant in neat area of LA, awesome selection of food, lovely staff. Easy 15 minute uber from Hollywood. Small little gift shop and proceeds go back to tne animals.

Fabulous restaurant tucked away in Silver Lake. The restaurant itself is cozy and small but also romantic. Great for a date night or double date night. We made a reservation - highly recommended for dinner. Street parking... can be hit or miss. The mac n cheese was hands down some of the best vegan mac n cheese I've ever had. I ate here almost a year ago so I'm late writing this review and I'm not sure if the menu changes.... if the mac n cheese is available, absolutely order it. The wine selection is awesome as well. The service was phenomenal. Everyone working was mindful of people's allergies, asked questions, and had real knowledge of the menu. Price point is reasonable. We treated everything as shareable plates and ordered a wide variety of items amongst the 4 of us. Recommendations: macaroni & cheese pan fried gnocchi fried cauliflower roasted carrots

My daughter is a student at nearby Occidental College and this is a favorite spot for her. She recommended it to us and we went for Sunday brunch. 3 of us enjoyed a strawberry donut (daily special) and cinnamon roll (yum) then 1 had the breakfast sliders, 1 the avocado toast, and I had potatoes and fruit. We all were delighted with our choices. Our delicious meals were made better by the friendly, professional service from the team of servers and hosts. I cannot wait to return!

I live near Little Pine and I eat here all the time but never wrote a review until now. This place has the best vegan food you will ever eat in LA. I've brought hard-core meat eaters to this place and the enter with such an attitude as if I'm poisoning them and then very quickly, you can see the expressions on their face change to "OMG this food is delicious!" in no time. Everything is great but especially their shaved brussel sprouts (loved by people who hate brussel sprouts) and their crispy crispiest most delicious crispy on the outside, buttery soft on the inside, totally addicting smashed potatoes. You will eat these like popcorn. And the desserts are out of this world. How they manage to have the best cream pies without the cream but made from cashews I think? Not sure. But their banana cream pie is better than Marie Callendar's or House of Pies or the best bakeries in town. You will not be disappointed. Unless you can't get a table. Which happens quite often so book in advance.

This is an all plant-based (vegan) restaurant that is well know to vegans in L.A. What you may not realize is that this place is just plain awesome no matter what your dietary preferences are. The food comes out in plates and you share it so it's fun to order a variety of menu items. The ambiance is great and restaurant is in a modern and attractive building. This is a non-profit restaurant where all of the profits go to animal welfare organizations. They have a great wine list and really, the food is remarkable. There are marked gluten-free items as well. We went here for the first time after hearing about this place from many people and absolutely loved it.

We had the coffee with house made out cream (milk), mixed berry filled doughnut, cinnamon roll (our favorite), grilled cheese and tomato soup, breakfast sandwich (sausage on the side) and lemon poppy-seed pancakes with coconut whip cream and fresh berries. Everything was soooo good. Something for everyone. Wonderful place!

We finally went to little Pine the famed new restaurant of recording artist Moby . We read some bad reviews and knowing that not everyone goes open minded the vegan route , we wanted to build our own opinion . The place is in Silverlake and has a few parking options in the back . Otherwise try the street meters . The place is cozy , simple and well organized , our service was sweet and lovely and recommended the sharing idea 2 plates each person and then you have a good tasting of everything. Now the food is what you come for and it was good . Was it great or unusual or anything unique? No. I cook pretty much everything at home . We orders stuffed shells which turned out to be she'll pasta with some vegan stuffing .. But it was basically pasta with tomato sauce. Also fried cauliflower , something like bruschetta and various vegetables and risotto. We were a party of 5 so it was plenty of food to share and get an idea . What I would recommend is some more creativity in the kitchen . You see in my description I have a hard time remembering what we ate and that should not be the case when you go to a place that offers an alternative to all the generic food scene in LA. We paid 150 $ and it was completely fine and justified . Now should I do a 30 minute drive from Beverly Hills for it? No. Moby himself said he wanted food he food eat at home . Not sure this justified a restaurant . But the place was packed and people liked it. So by all means give it a try It's definitely worth an experience .

Tried this newish, little small-plates restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Little Pine offers a limited menu with adequate choices including gluten-free items and a nice drinks list. Although the restaurant is not billed as a “small plates” or tapas restaurant, our waitress explained that is their style and so we ordered five dishes to share on the advice of our waiter, who cautioned us that the dishes we ordered would come out as they were ready – not necessarily in the order of starters, small plates, main dishes. Interesting concept. All were tasty and all but the salad were quite rich. We most enjoyed the Fried Cauliflower and fennel flatbread pizza. The mushroom bourguignon was mostly mashed potatoes, though the “topping” of crimini mushrooms and pearl onions was tasty. The panko crusted pirccata was more like a cheese fried tofu than a traditional piccata. It, too, was stacked against a pile of mashed potatoes. A dessert of apple berry crumble with ice cream was a sweet finish, but wasn’t crunchy. Our evening ended when the restaurant host came to our table and cautioned us that they had another reservation for our table. It is true, we’d sat enjoying our meal and each others’ company for a couple of hours . . . but there were empty tables available and no parties were waiting. It tarnished an otherwise pleasant experience trying a new restaurant.

I used to love dining at Little Pine :'( and while most of our food and service was good (hence 2 stars), I was utterly shocked to find a black hair in my pasta dish. Hesitant to return anytime soon due to my phobia of hair in food. We know we should tell our servers, but frankly I have a hard time telling anybody who handles my food that there is a problem with it, particularly if there are still dishes to come. May seem irrational, but I'm sure you catch my drift. I couldn't eat any more after this so we left early. Be warned if you plan to dine in, especially for dinner. It's very poorly lit and hard to see your food. Check it carefully, or avoid altogether. Luckily there are a plethora of other amazing vegan restaurants in LA you can support instead!

Went to dinner with a small group of friends. Parking is problematic - the restaurant has a tiny lot that holds perhaps 4-5 cars and is very difficult to negotiate, otherwise it's street parking. The restaurant is small and has some outdoor seating. It is quite dark, to the point that it's very hard to even read the menu. The food was ok, but nothing special. Not much creativity in the menu: I expected some unique dishes, however many choices (mac and cheese, chicken piccata, etc.) were the vegan version of well known non-vegan dishes. Portions are quite small - they tell you they are meant to be shared, however in the end we spent over $30 each without eating much. The lime cheesecake ($10) was extremely small, just a couple of bites. Service was average or below average: the dishes came one at a time, so those who weren't interested in sharing had nothing to eat. Restrooms: only one for men and one for women - inadequate for a place this size. Overall I wasn't impressed.

Believe the (good) hype. This is a fantastic restaurant to check out - even if you're not vegan, of course. Delicious food will have you over ordering but do save room for dessert, the banana cream pie was simply amazing. Oh and Moby stopped by our table to check in. ❤️

Anyone vegan can feel my pain with caprese salad. The mozzarella has been a difficult thing for me to find that tastes similar to the real thing and not rubbery . They make the mozzarella in house and it’s so bomb. We ordered 2 of them because it’s that good. We also ordered the gnocchi and the polenta. If you have room for dessert it’s well worth it, an adorable small place worth checking out.

We often dreamed of a visit to this particular restaurant from Italy. All profits are donated to organizations that deal with animal rights, the menu is very nice, the service is friendly and precise. We enjoyed both what we ate and why we felt we were doing the right thing.

New favorite vegan restaurant? New favorite period! I am no vegan or vegetarian but the food here...the service...the friendly atmosphere...all are amazing! Plus this is the first restaurant in the US I've been to that serves savory desserts! I split the cheese cake with a friend...what a delight. I will be here again and again and again ❣️

Look, I was a vegetarian (not vegan; I ate dairy & eggs) for about eight years. Then, I became too annoying, even to myself, so I started eating everything again. So I sort of get the vegan thing. Little Pine is probably as good as it gets for vegan. The bread and spreads are tasty. We had the farro walnut salad, panzanella, fried cauliflower, brussels sprouts, macaroni & "cheese," "sausage" & polenta, crispy smashed potatoes, bruschetta, and broccoli arancini. And that's almost everything on the menu. For four women. That's the thing about vegan food, you have to eat a lot of it to appease your hunger. But it was all very tasty, even the mac/cheese. I am usually very skeptical of what vegans serve up as "cheese," and this was amazing. The place is really cute, and the service was very friendly and efficient. This is a great place to take "that" vegan friend. You'll have a tasty and enjoyable dinner. But you'll need to have a ground beef taco for breakfast the next day.

I turned vegan a couple of months ago and was looking for a great vegan place whilst visiting my best friend in LA. She's not vegan. We both loved loved loved the food. We also loved the understated interior, making it a very relaxed atmosphere whilst also being young and hip. Great service and great prices too. Would definitely go again and again and again.

We loved Little Pine so much, we went back a second time during our week in LA. This is comfort food, vegan style. The smashed potatoes are divine, and I absolutely loved the mushroom bourguingon. Don't skip dessert! Be sure to try the amazing s'mores ganache -- it transported me back to my childhood summers, having s'mores round the campfire. Only WAY better! (In other words, you won't get a hard, cold chocolate bar with burnt marshmallow and soggy graham cracker here! LOL!) The staff is super friendly and helpful. Ask for menu tips if you're not sure what to order. I suggest getting several little plates, and taking home whatever you can't finish. The environment is cozy and warm, and lively but not too loud (which I appreciate).Pups are welcome on the back porch, so bring 'em with!

Really enjoyed my experience here tonight. First I found the staff to be very welcoming, accommodating and informative. My server was outgoing and helpful in selecting our drinks and understanding portion control (ie how many items to order as most plates are to be shared). The service is quick and very attentive. The menu offers a complete array of vegan delicacies which caused me great trouble narrowing down to just a handful of items - I seriously could have stayed all night long sampling the complete menu. Once the food arrived I can confirm that it was quite flavorful and in full portions - everything we had was delicious. Some highlights included Broccolini, Gnocchi and Mushroom Crostini. I'll be back often as the pricing was just perfect. The only challenges was that the lighting was super low and the parking a bit challenging in the area. Otherwise this place is a home run.

This little vegan restaurant makes one wonder, why I we eat all that other stuff! On a trip to LA my daughter Tegan( who happens to be vegan) and her beau took me here for brunch. The pastries were beautiful to look at, and so wonderful to eat. They had many other dishes that we shared, and nice drinks and beverages.

Thank you Moby for creating this philanthropic vegan restaurant. Not only was the food fantastic (highlights: vegan sausage, stuffed shells, baked alaska) so was the atmosphere and the service.

The food wasn't all that creative, but the restaurant was nice and has outdoor seating. I was expecting better, maybe that's the problem, but I just wasn't all that impressed. The food was good, but not great. And it was expensive considering all that. I would not go again. There are lots of other vegan restaurants with better food at better prices.

The service was good. We had to arrive 30 mins late, and there was no issue made about that. Given that it was a Monday that's partly expected, but nevertheless no issues. The food was good, delicate tastes, not the biggest portions if you are used to US portions, but personally I welcomed that! Atmosphere, low lit lights, to be honest I couldn't read easily sometimes the menu, but that is an observation rather than a critique. Loved the main dish which was a kind of vegan sausage and polenta. Oh, and a nice dessert too. No greats and good to get up to Silver Lake.

Our dinner at Little Pine was a real treat after a long day of art museum-hopping around Los Angeles. I’m vegan, so I’m lucky my non-vegan friends were kind enough to go along with my restaurant choice. Believe me, no one was disappointed! The restaurant is located in (what appears to be) an understated 1930s/Art Deco building that evokes a charm of yesteryear. The interior is stylish and casual, calm, comfortable with a homey, mid-century vibe. We were a party of three and we decided we’d each order one small plate + large plate and split them all. We each got to try several different dishes and they were FANTASTIC! Every first bite elicited a “OMG!” or “Yum!” from each of us. The service was world-class. Without exception, the staff was friendly and informative when we had some questions regarding various menu items. Throughout our meal, we received just the right amount of attention. It’s rare when restaurant service is flawless, but that’s how I’d describe our experience at Little Pine. For food, service and atmosphere, Little Pine gets an A+. Honestly, it’s my new “favorite restaurant of all time”. As someone who used to spend over $40,000 a year in restaurants, it takes a lot to impress me. My only regret about the experience is that now I wish I lived closer to Silver Lake so I could dine there much more often.

The level of food quality and menu items have just gotten so incredible! My particular bias is towards the apple sandwich which is basically the grand finale of a fireworks show in every bite!

Enjoyed a great meal with my family, all vegan except for me, during a recent visit to California. We ordered a number of small plates to share and kept ordering more. All were delicious. Will return. This is a small place, so reservations are a must.

I'm not vegan, but I loved everything I had here. We tried several different small plates, watermelon and vegan mozzarella, smashed crispy potatoes, and spinach ravioli with cranberries and pine nuts, plus dessert! I think I might have loved the food more than my vegan friend. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet, which was nice. Biggest upside of this place is that all the proceeds go to helping save the animals.

During our brief LA vacation, we went to Little Pine twice, once for dinner and once for brunch. Both excellent, delicious food, great service. We must have tried nearly every dish between the 5 of us, and every dish was perfect. Parking on the street. Make reservations as they are popular.

We go there quite often and take friends who are not vegan. The chef is simply amazing. I love the fennel flatbread pizza housemade sausage, fennel, romesco, spinach, parmesan 16, my non vegan daughter loves the panko crusted piccata scallopini, garlic butter, lemon, white wine, capers, parsley, mashed potatoes 17. Everything on the menu is great. How is the cream on the banana cream pie topped with coconut whip (gf, nf) 14, vegan.

I really wanted to like it more. The food was ok but nothing I would go out of my way for. The restaurant was so dark I could not easily read my menu. The food came seaparately so some of us ate while others sat without. I never got a refill for my dry water glass, and felt somewhat neglected by our waiter. This was a birthday celebration so I made the best of it but felt like I had been many other places that were more worth the price. The most positive thing I could say was the soup and bread were good.

Firstly, I'm not vegan, but went with a friend who is and a couple who aren't. So, 3-1 outside the vegan camp. Was assured I'd like it and......I did. I really enjoyed it. Very limited parking to the side (but hey....parking & plenty on the street). From the moment you enter the 'feel' is relaxed. After 40 years running upscale hotels I loved the staff. If I describe them as wonderfully 'clean' you'll know what I mean if you go. Beatifully turned out. They're also knowledgeable and very personable. The service is Tapas-style so dishes arrive as and when which was perfect as we all intended to share dishes. As a non-vegan I'd happily return and may try other vegan restaurants on this experience. Decor is pleasant and thoughtful. Menu had a good choice and every dish was full of flavour.....the soup was exceptional. Very acceptable drinks list too which was reasonably priced. Recommend the strawberry mint lemonade! Sunday evening, it was full. Glad we booked. We'll go back. Thank you. Especially to the staff who absolutely made it..... that's the magic ingredient here for me (and of course the food). Get the right people and you can achieve anything. Well done!

This restaurant is plates for sharing style, and can be $$$. Everything we had was delicious, though. The wait staff was so nice! I’m from NYC and I don’t think the restaurant is even small. Overall, my meal was charming and so good!!

I had read about Little Pine, only by chance, a few weeks promo to our trip to L.A. And decided to give it a try. Honestly, I'm a meat-guy, and have a hard time imagining a life without meet or fish. But if everything vegan was as good as this food was, I don't think I would miss meat at all. Little Pine is a small restaurant, and I really recommend you make a reservation if you plan to go there. They have a few tables outside, in the back if you prefer to eat outside. The menu is not to big, and composed mainly by "plates" which are ideal for sharing between the guests. This way, everyone gets a chance to taste all the good food. If I were to give any recommendations, I would choose the flatbread and risotto. The service was really great, and prices were just as expected for a popular place like this. It was probably the best meal we had during our stay in L.A. Ps: make sure you have room for desserts, they really save the best for last.

This is such a great spot for vegan comfort food – from macaroni & cheese to Impossible meatballs, to flatbread with vegan sausage that tastes just like the real thing. Cashew Brussels sprouts with chili aioli is a must-order, a fantastic starter to share. Love the relaxed and casual vibe, and the outdoor patio with an airstream trailer is very cozy. Service is great and prices are super fair for the quality of ingredients and generous portion sizes. Definitely recommend coming with a group so you can try more goodies! I heard they just hired a new chef and I can't wait to try more of what he comes up with.

I have gone to Little Pine at least 8-10 times...it's easy because it's in my hood and steps away from my yoga studio, but more importantly it's just darn good!! If you can stand the ultra hipster vibe and the often zombie-like wait staff--the food outweighs all of this! I've also taken many of my carnivorous friends and clients to Little Pine and they haven't missed out on the meat--they love the taste! Must have on the menu includes: The fresh baked croissants with homemade maple butter and raspberry jam during Sunday brunch, the tofu scramble is also a big hit! For dinner the Faux Chicken (soy) Piccata with smashed potatoes or the Stuffed Shells or the sausage and Polenta big hits! And for dessert, Lemon Meringue pie or the warm Chocolate Chip cookies with three types of vegan milks...OH MY!!!

Small restaurant but it was packed for brunch on a Saturday around noon. The service was good, prices were fair, and the food was delicious!! We shared the French toast, breakfast sandwich, and biscuits and gravy. Def recommend!

I'm on holiday from Glasgow where there's a vibrant vegan community so I couldn't wait to try Little Pine after seeing so many great reviews. The food was very tasty, although very small portions. Half of us had eaten our dinner before the other half of our table even had their food which is not ideal. The food was lovely though and everyone was very pleased with what they picked. I had the stuffed shells and they were great. The problem unfortunately with Little Pine is their waiting staff. For a place which prides itself on compassion, it's unfortunate this hasn't transferred on to how they treat their customers. We felt the staff were aggressive and extremely abrupt in their manner towards us and it unfortunately did ruin our visit. The food is amazing, but the atmosphere is not.

I was highly recommended to visit little pine on our recent trip to California, none of us in the group were vegans and even though i try to eat vegetarian as much as possible our group had never been to a vegan restaurant .. the rest of our group was just blown away as was I...OMG the food, the taste, and the presentation... we absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be back!

We went to this vegan restaurant on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Perhaps that is why it offered a prix fixe menu. The cost was reasonable at $25 per person for a four-course meal. The four of us ordered two plates of each of the four courses, and the amount of food was just right. The food was excellent. Service was really good. We also enjoyed the beverages.

When Little Pine opened, I was put off not by its all-vegan menu, but by the hype surrounding its celebrity owner, Moby. Moby, it turns out, is a really decent dude with a great wit and a kind heart toward animals. Still, I remained skeptical because of another oft-repeated criticism of the menu: The portions were small and pricey. It appears that Management was listening and changed their ways--and menu. A friend and I ordered a flat bread, broccoli bites and a "chicken" piccata entree and were thoroughly stuffed--for $60, including an $8 beer and $8 kombucha. Everything was tasty, if a little on the heavy side (blame our ordering the breaded broccoli appetizer and the breaded "chicken" and the bready flat bread). Even so, everything was delicious and clean tasting. The patio may face a parking lot, but it's still a nice, quieter hideaway from the main restaurant. Now if they could just come up with an addicting, must-eat-twice-a-week salad, they'd have the whole world hooked on going vegan.

We were so so excited to come and visit this restaurant. Not only is it vegan, but all the profits go to animal welfare. The food is delicious and so is the feeling of in your heart into contributing to the world environmentally and ethically. The service was incredible and everything we ordered came out in good time, great temperature and beautifully presented. Way to go Moby!

During our stay in LA we were trying different vegetarian/vegan places and this one was our favourite. The food was delicious, staff nice and happy. On top of that when we learned that owner of the restaurant gives all profit to animal care organisations we couldn't be happier :D Definitely reccomended!

This is a delightful, small, cozy restaurant that prepares food in a loving, tasteful way that will make you forget you are eating healthy! This is food done right. No faux meat substitutes or cashew sauces masquerading as cheese...these are real food items prepared without meat sourced ingredients that are tasty, crunchy, sweet, savory and just delicious. Well worth a visit even if you've never ventured into the vegetarian/vegan world. We are still carnivores but Little Pine truly may make us convert.

The experience was Awesome. The Ambiance, the quality of the food, the correct prices, the mission of supporting animals rather than eating them... What else ??

Amazing for brunch and dinner this is a must for any vegan visiting Los Angeles. The service is great, the people are friendly tons of food to choose from even non vegans will Enjoy. The pastries are delicious as well! Highly recommend as you will not be disappointed !

Not only do I love and patronize this restaurant because 100% of the proceeds go to assist animals in need, but also because Little Pine is has proved that vegan food can be downright delicious. The ambiance is romantic and cozy and the scene is relaxed and informal but with just the right touch of class for date night. There are far too many menu items to list just all of my favorties, but I will say that regardless if you are a vegan or not, the banana cream pie is a perfect desert and I promise that you do not miss the dairy! delish!

The food was absolutely delicious. Food is brought out as it's ready and they suggest sharing plates, as it's family style. They recommend ordering 2 plates per person. My husband and I ended up with 4 plates and it was a little too much food for us. Of course, we ate it all (we didn't have a place to store leftovers and didn't want it to go to waste!), but we were stuffed! On top of that, I had to get dessert too, LOL! That's what happens when you are visiting and the food is so delicious - I don't know if and when I will be back, so carpe diem! I chose "Cookies and Milk" for dessert and it was fantastic. The chocolate chip cookies were the best I have ever had and the homemade nut milk was amazing. Vegan or non-vegan will enjoy all of the food here. We arrived soon after opening on a Friday night without reservations and had no trouble getting a seat. I imagine it gets a bit crowded as the night goes on, so I would recommend a reservation. Ambiance was nice, but a bit too dark (we arrived before the sun went down, but once the sun set it was rather dark in the restaurant - they hadn't adjusted the lights properly). I wished the wait staff and hostess were friendlier -- they weren't welcoming or friendly at all. No small talk, no checking on how our food was (I wanted to tell someone how great it was!). All business. But all in all, the food was FANTASTIC and we will return the next time we are in L.A.

Not being a vegetarian or a vegan myself I was a little apprehensive to visit this restaurant but it was my friends birthday and she is herself a vegetarian so I went on her insistence. We ordered most of the menu to share with our table and let me just say some if this food was the best food I have ever eaten. There was no dish that I didn't love. I left feeling full and overly satisfied with everything I ate. I'm pretty sure that I can no longer eat Brussels Sprouts as they will never even compare to the ones we ate at Little Pine. Thank you for an amazing experience and dinner! We loved the every bite!

My wife and I enjoyed a phenomenal dinner at Little Pine on a recent Friday night after a brief wait for a table. The time spent awaiting our table was completely worth it! We started our meal enjoying what was probably the freshest and most perfectly seasoned and executed butter lettuce salad that I have ever tasted. Now all salads I make at home or enjoy while dining out have to stand up to this new benchmark. We also ordered the fried cauliflower which was perfectly cooked and delicious. We loved the crispy smashed potatoes, the sorbet for dessert and everything that we tasted. Our server was professional and friendly and very attentive as well. There is an extensive list of high quality teas to choose from plus coffee drinks, kombucha, smoothies and a truly unique and thoughtfully curated wine list. All the ingredients are organic and the profits from the restaurant benefit animal welfare organizations - so you know you're treating yourself and it's all for a great cause. Thanks so much to the entire staff for creating such a wonderful experience!

The title of the review is true - I've never had better food. My spouse is not vegan + he agreed that the food at Little Pine was the best he has ever had in his life, too. The waitress who helped us was a doll, as was everyone we interacted with that night. We ordered a lot - the Potato Leek Soup, bread, mac and cheese, risotto, and stuffed shells. I planned on eating a lot that night because there were so many things on the menu that I wanted. I never "have room" for dessert but I couldn't not try it here. We ordered the berry crumble with ice cream. Incredible. There aren't words for the quality + taste of this food, the amazing service + the style of this modern restaurant. I also love that the proceeds are donated to animal welfare organizations. To be honest, I really wish Moby would open Little Pine's all over the world - more people would go vegan if they had access to this food. I do not live in California but I will be returning for one purpose - to eat here. If you are vegan or not vegan it doesn't matter, you will LOVE this food.

I really loved the simple decor, casual and tasteful. We went for brunch. The menu is not extensive but everything we got was delicious. My husband had biscuits and gravy which he normally would never get to eat and I had a tofu scramble with a baby arugula salad. We took a couple of chocolate chip cookies to go for later. They were yummy as well. So happy to find a vegan restaurant that is tasty and the proceeds go to animal organizations!

We enjoyed everything at Little Pine. The place is quite small and on a Sunday night at 5:30 pm the only seating option was on the patio - they have blankets over each chair so that was a nice touch as it was a little chilly for me. Make a reservation for sure. We tried the siracha glazed brussel sprouts - very yummy - although just a tinge too spicy for me. The "chicken " piccata which was really good and if you're missing chicken at all this is a very realistic vegan version, and the flatbread. The wines by the glass were OK - not the best in my taste and the selection was small. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. Note - the food comes out as it is ready since they have a tiny kitchen. I suggest sharing everything so you can try several things. It's almost tapas like with the many small plates they have. Parking is extremely limited and tight too - so bring your smaller car ! Overall we liked it very much and would definitely go back.

the restaurant offers a great variety of vegan food. all the options are amazing and I am sure the ones that have the exotic mushrooms are wonderful- I am allergic so could not even taste. the dessert- wow! banana cream pie :) but be warned: it is huge!

In LA to visit family and made reservations to travel to Glendale to check out MOBY'S restaurant. We had heard great things and had to try it. The menu is quite extensive and served sort of like tapas style or family style. Which is great because we got to try 4 different plates and a dessert. We had reservations on a Wednesday night. I recommend reservations because the place was packed. Food was delicious, service was fast and friendly. Nice place for drinks as well.

Best lunch I've had in LA. Everyone was extremely relaxed and friendly with a good knowledge of the menu. The apple sandwich and the brekkie sandwich are to die for and cannot recommend enough. Yes it's quite pricey but that's LA for you and you do get quite a lot on your plate. A place to not be missed. Oh and by far the best music played.

Came for lunch and sat outside (as that is the only option). They are accommodating to furry friends which is nice. We came on a Tuesday and there was no wait. Parked on the street without an issue. Service was hip. Had a delicious ice tea. We started with a salad which really hit the spot. Lots of fresh veggies. Then moved onto the brussels which were shamefully salty. Way too much. Would not suggest these. I then had the impossible burger which had beets. An interesting twist. It was an average impossible burger but how do you really make one better than average. I wish I would have ordered something else. We had to skip desert due to time constraints. Maybe next time.

Came with a group of 8 for brunch to try out Moby's new vegan organic restaurant. Tip: call ahead for a reservation. The menu looked amazing, so we all ordered something different. Food was tasty, well-prepared, and with quality ingredients. No wierd tasting stereotypical hippy vegan food here. Our favorites: - Hot drinks (good selection of teas and coffee drinks - loved the almond milk) - Sticky buns hot from the oven - melt in your mouth delicious - French toast - top pick - Biscuits and gravy - close runner up - comes with a side salad of arugula - Panzanella - S'mores ganache - omg this can't be vegan! - Apple berry crumble with coconut ice cream The egg salad sandwich, vegetable frittata, tomato soup, and farro walnut salad would probably be good on their own, but were definitely eclipsed by the other items. Serving size is satisfying - don't expect huge portions or splitting an entree with two people. When we asked what the restaurant was known for, they said: french toast, biscuits and gravy, s'mores ganache, and cookies and milk. And we'd have to agree. We'll be back to try dinner...

LIttle Pine is the restaurant of the music star Moby, a dedicated vegan, and it is delicious! My wife and I ate brunch there on Sat, 7-23-16. They allowed me to order off the menu a bit -- a Breakfast Sandwich with tempeh bacon sandwich on gluten-free bread -- because I am gluten-free and the regular sausage sandwich is made with seitan. It was the best thing I have eaten in a restaurant in a long, long time. It included a red pepper sauce that was perfect with the smoky flavor of the bacon. My wife had the regular Breakfast Sandwich and it was equally delicious, she said. The service was the best and the ambience is bright and cheery. If you are anywhere near Los Angeles proper and even if you are not vegan, you can see what great vegan food tastes like! The prices are comparable to other vegan places in the city, $9-$12 for an entree. $3 for bottomless coffee.

Loved the tofu scramble and egg salad sandwich! Also appreciated the pet friendly environment, great service and lovely, simple and clean ambiance

My friend came in from NY and had heard of this place and wanted to try it. I'm not vegan but she but saw the great reviews. Every single thing we ordered was excellent. If she would have not told me it was vegan I would have never known. They also have some great wines. She is a huge Moby fan and he was at his own place hanging out which made it really cool. Vegan or not you should try this place....plus all the proceeds help animals. I can't wait to go back.

The food was very good and tasty. Accruate execution and very nice presentation. Service was pleaseant and friendly, The place is a Gem for Vegan and other culinary fans And we for sure coming back We also loved the purpose of it as all profits going to support animal right organizations

Three of us arrived without a reservation and, as a result, had to sit outside. Though it was a cold night, we were kept warm by an overhead heater and the blankets made available to us. The food was good, but the portions seemed very small. We mentioned this to our server, and he said that he'd mention our concern to the chef, but we never heard any response beyond that. We enjoyed our meal, but it seemed we paid too much for the small amount of food we received. We realize that there is added expense when a kitchen relies 100% on organic ingredients, but we have eaten at other similarly-themed restaurants where we derived more satisfaction than at this one.

Our nieces took us here when we came to visit. We loved everything! The small plates to share were perfect, and we loved everything we tried. Restaurant was lovely, and the service was helpful and prompt. I can see why this has become a regular spot for my family who live nearby.

I have been to the highly praised Plant-based restaurants in NYC and LA and this little gem is my favorite. The menu suits me, the ambience is pleasant and depending on the music, the acoustics are pleasant, friends audible even in a fully occupied room. If you're lucky, Moby will be sitting next to you, but even without, it's a delightful, plant-based culinary experience with a superb business model. I have loved all the dishes I had. For me, the "Noci" needed a bit of salt (I tend to add) and the S'Mores was a bit too rich, not enough graham, but I don't like fudge, so that's probably just me. All the other dishes (8 total) I tried were superb as is. Our carnivore friends enjoyed their meals and even said they would "seek out" the sausage, that's how good it is. I was a bit annoyed by the ever so tiresome "I couldn't be Vegan. I love burgers" statement by our table neighbors, but it seems standard anytime you're in a Vegan environment....still can't people shut up about meat for 1 hour?

Loved my visit to Little Pine. Six of us for birthday brunch on a rainy Sunday brought out smiles from all the worker bees at the restaurant. Seating is tight but our group was ensconced in a corner area where we had plenty of room. My Tofu Scramble was the perfect combination with vegan sausage and home fries. Order Kombucha, it's great! Had a super coconut ice cream for dessert. One of our group thought her french toast was soggy with too much syrup so if that's what you would like to order you may wish it on the side. Love that all the proceeds benefit animal charities.

A vegan way of life is noble indeed: it's the practice of eating foods that avoid killing animals. The challenge for us non-vegans is that compared to what we eat most of the time vegan and vegetarian dishes can seem somewhat lacking in flavor. Little Pine manages to deliver big taste and portions while still being Vegan. You're likely to leave the restaurant not missing meat at all from your meal. The broccolini were just like croquettes:lightly fried on the outside with a deliciously puréed interior. So good I asked the waitress for a second order. The roasted vegetable were flavorful and succulent and the sausage and polenta was not the result of a misprint or deviant chef sneaking meat onto the menu, but a vegetarian version that played brilliantly against the polenta rectangles (how did the kitchen manage to shape them so perfectly?) The dish was completed with a rich Marina sauce, whose saltiness was a perfect contrast with the sweet polenta flavor. Apple and berry crumble finished off a satisfying meal. The food aside Little Pine is a delightful place to dine. It has a mid century modern feel to it, and as testament to the restaurant's name features wood in its fixtures and artwork. The only thing missing: a little of the owner's music. But then to do so would only open Moby (or any other artist who owns a restaurant) up to criticism for being narcissistic. I love his music, and to hear some in a setting he has so carefully planned would have been magical.

In a charmingly clean, serene and minimalistic old used car lot, Moby has created a beautifully simple and elegant restaurant that serves elegant and simple dishes that every carnivore should try to appreciate what's possible with vegan food.

My boyfriend and I just spent our evening here and we knew after the first dish that this would be one of our top dinners out on our trip, possibly ever. It's sharing style, which we love, so not everything comes out at the same time, but service is insanely fast. If you're a kombucha fan they have lots to choose from; the citrus sunrise flavour was our favourite. We also tried the watermelon radish and rainbow carrot salad, the broccoli arancini, the artichoke and spinach ravioli, and the roasted carrots. Everything was so, so good. We finished off with the s'mores and the brownie sundae. The s'mores were probably the best dessert I have ever had at a restaurant. You'll love them. Especially if you're vegetarian/vegan and have been missing marshmallows. 10/10 would recommend.

Little Pine is just Crazy good. From the minute I walked in the door the staff was very attentive and correct yet still laid back and cool. Food is refined and "advanced" yet at the same time very easy to grasp and done in a comfort styled manner. The whole place has such a warm and friendly ambience too. I had the soup of the day which was a Sunchoke soup with hazelnuts and thyme... What a bursting sensation of flavours! I then had the shepherds pie and also a small plate of the broccoli arancini (cheesy broccoli risotto cakes with pesto). The bomb! Don't miss them. I've reviewed about 300 restaurants since I eat out a lot when travelling for work. Most of my reviews are from vegan or vegetarian restaurants. Little Pine just climbed to mr 1 spot on that list. It's that good. Don't miss out....

We arrived for our reservation at just gone 1pm, the weekend brunch seemed to be calming down. The host didn't take our name and I subsequently received an email due to "not attending". I asked if the romesco could be substituted for something without peppers, perhaps something tomato based. I was told I could have it removed but couldn't have anything instead. My partner's food arrived, I told him to go ahead and eat as it didn't look like mine was coming out. I watched him eat all of it, then waited a further 10 minutes before mine arrived... with the romesco. So I then had to wait for it to be made again. Without any sauce it was tasteless and bland and appeared very greesy. No attempt was made to offer a discount etc for our hassle. We came to eat brunch together not to eat seperately with large gaps between. We won't be returning.

We are on holiday in LA for 2 weeks and this is the best food we've had our whole holiday. We are vegetarians and have found it hard to fine veggie options in restaurants and here we were spoiled for choice - we wanted to try everything! The food we did have was sooo tasty and was the nicest vegan food we've ever had. There were loads of creamy cheesy dishes that could fool anyone into thinking it was dairy. We wish we could bring everyone we know there to show how tasty vegan food can be. The restaurant was lovely and the service was really great. All round lovely evening and we wish we were staying longer so we could go again! Definitely recommend going!!

I've been here twice now and it has become home of my greatest meal. We ordered many plates - mac & cheese, ravioli, avocado/fennel/grapefruit salad, flatbread, etc., and indulged in the fab desserts (chocolate brownie/pb ice cream and key lime pie). At first it seemed like we might not have enough food but we were stuffed by the end and had to push to accommodate dessert. The food was that good. The ambiance was fun, casual (even romantic, with the low lighting) and attentive. We did have a Moby sighting, which was fun (and great to see him going in and out of the kitchen - keep your eye on it, Mobes!). But the food is the star. It's inventive, covers a broad range of flavors and cuisines, and feels like it is made with love. It's good enough to satisfy any non-vegan, and vegans will be thrilled beyond experience. Not sure why anyone would complain about the prices - it's artisanal food, people! The sourcing is not cheap, and the diner benefits from that curated approach. The mission of supporting animal groups also hits the spot. Thanks for creating this place. Can't wait to go back.

We took our whole family here for dinner on a trip to Los Angeles. The restaurant itself is charming. Just small enough . The kids LOVED the mac and cheese! My piccata was perfect. My husband had polenta that was in a perfect marinara and unbelievable house made vegan sausage. Another son had ravioli and ate every bit. The desserts were worth every calorie bite too! Lemon meringue, ganache, and a brownie with peanut butter ice cream. I hope to make it back here again and highly recommend it!

I love how Moby, the musician, donates the proceeds of his restaurant to charitable causes. The menu is creative, chock full of little plates to share. For a non-vegan like me, I can be critical of fake meat and items "trying too hard" to taste like the real thing. I felt their macaroni and cheese tried too hard and left a weird fake bacon aftertaste. But their zucchini squash dish with toasted pine nuts and vegan goat cheese was incredible. Their salads were ok. I expected better from a vegetable joint. But the ganache dessert (who knew you can make vegan merengue-like toasted marshmallow topping out of garbanzo bean juice?) was better than most desserts of the kind that are full of butter. YUM!

Ravioli al tartufo = spinach ricotta ravioli, truffle cream sauce, melange of mushrooms and Broccolini with hazelnuts, avocado mousse, red onion and Garlic Basil Gnocchi with pine nuts, pesto, vegetables, bread crumbs, all prepared to perfection. A feast for our taste spots! What a delight also the dessert: S’mores Ganache - graham crust, chocolate ganache, pecans, toasted meringue and apple berry crumble with vanilla ice cream. I always enjoyed Moby's artistic work... and think it's great that he shares his perception of how vegetarian food should taste. In a very pleasant ambience, with an attentive crew, it was a true pleasure to dine at Little Pine.

Yikes 13 dollars for a cup (a small 8 oz) of mac and slosh. Polenta was super salty and over spiced with oregano. I would not recommend unless you have money to throw away

The outside of the restaurant is not anything special. But once you are inside... this is another story. The staff is polite, helpful, professional. Our waiter knew his business well - how the various dishes are prepared and whether these dishes had glutens or not. Service, even though this evening they were full (reservations recommended) was efficient - meaning there was not much of a wait to have your order be served. Now the most important reason to go to this restaurant: the taste of the food. The ingredients they use are Probably the best there is. All is natural. I enjoyed every dish - without exception. So, I can only recommend this restaurant - it is definitely worth a visit.

Great Restaurant to stop by for deserts. We will recommend if you are planning just to order one item. Might get abit crowded during weekends and wait time of at least 10-15 mins
Just great!
We came here as a treat for my veggie son. We were at the end of a 3 week road trip and I think he had seen enough limp veggie burgers and plates of boring pasta to last him a lifetime. We didn't have a reservation but they squeezed us in, for which I was very grateful. The service was perfect-attentive without being in your face, and we all really loved the ambience. Laid back, but obviously they took their food seriously. My husband a diehard carnivore, absolutely loved it! We had a lot of food - they are in the main, sharing plates but there really was plenty to go around...the kids even had a desert. Who'd have thought vegan ice cream could taste so good?! Definitely worth a trip if you are in LA.
