While attending the Philadelphia Flower show, I took a lunch break at the Reading Market. Reviews of the Little Thai Market piqued my interest into giving it a try. Coulldn't have asked for a better lunch: Green curry chicken; plenty of thinly sliced, delicious chicken strips to go along with a green curry sauce over rice with potato and plenty of onions. Long line moved quickly. It was a Monday and the recommended salmon curry was not available. Also noticed that the pad thai tray was empty. GREAT place to eat; excellent food; inexpensive $7. No seating for this stand. You'll have to find a place to eat in the common seating area. DON"T pass up this spot.

I came her for brunch one morning. They open at 10 am but I saw them serving guests as early as 9:30 am. As soon as the dishes are prepared and placed in steam trays, people are buying food. I had shrimp soup, spring rolls and their famous curry salmon. Everything looked so good, it was hard to decide what to get. Each item was freshly prepared and delicious. The price for all of this food was just over $15 and I wrapped half of it for dinner. I rarely give 5 stars, but this time it is well deserved! The place is clean and all utensils are individually wrapped.

I visited the Reading Terminal this weekend and I was to stop by the Little Thai Market easily because there wasn’t the ‘long line’ that usually wraps around the whole aisle when you visit during a weekday! So excited about the small victories these days and I celebrated by having the Salmon Curry Bowl! As you will see from all the review..it is worth standing in line! The portion size is fair and if you as shrimp to the meal..you are on your way to an enjoyable adventure for your taste buds! If you are in the terminal...stop by and give them a try...deliciousness = Happiness!

Consistently among my three top pics at Reading Terminal Market (with DiNic's and Hershel's Deli). Had Chicken Basil which is sweet, tangy, spicy and filling. Added two fantastic chicken spring rolls with spicy sauce and a water bottle for $10.75. Better than our local Thai restaurant for 1/3 the price. Plus people-watching at the Terminal is priceless. There pad Thai is great, and their salmon in curry sauce is outstanding, as well. Long long lines at lunchtime so go a bit before noon if possible. You'll be happy you did!

I would highly recommend the salmon! It is fresh, tasty, and affordable. I went today and tried the veggie curry!!! It was great because I'm staying away from salmon (in general) for a while. However, this is a great place to eat. Lines can be very long though so be prepared for a long wait!

these people are terrible to their customers. I asked for salmon with all broccoli no rice every time I came here . But the last time I came the guy who I normally order from got nasty and refused to give me my dish he tried to force me to take the rice with it and basically told me no more all broccoli even though I was paying a upcharge all the other times. This is bad business and ridiculous .

This small Thai spot always has a line. I was surprised on a Saturday afternoon to only find about five people ahead of us. The draw is the grilled salmon with curry sauce, broccoli and rice. The sauce, most likely with coconut milk sets the dish off. The price is good as parking next door at $24 was more expensive. Better parking prices can likely be found via the Web. Finding seating is usually a challenge at the Terminal but a family was leaving in the main central area as we looked for seating. There are also"hidden" small tables along some of the aisles. Favorite eatery at Reading Terminal. Also, enjoy fruit smoothie stall, cookie place near the exit and the two bakeries. Wonderful place!!!

It's a great spot for quick Thai. I ate here three times. I wasn't feeling well so I had soup. I felt much better after eating their soup. I had the chicken dish and it was very good. It is a good choice and it doesn't break the bank

My husband just brought this home today for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. We have had it a number of times and even taking it home it was really really good. The salmon was cooked perfect and the rice...oh wow..the sauce was just right....just delicious...not overpowering...

This place is easy to miss. It is one of the myriad choices available in the Reading Terminal Market. And, their is not much to distinguish this nondescript place. And, their menu is quite limited. However, if you like Thai food as much as I do, and you appreciate a bargain, this place is a great find. I ordered the chicken lemon grass soup and the red curry chicken; the total bill was $10.26. Both items were well spiced and flavorful. The soup was especially good; lots of lemon grass.

Lunch at Little Thai, particularly the salmon, is the best buy in prepared food you will ever find. Even in off hours, there is always a line for this stand. One order of salmon costs around $8 or so and easily feeds two people for dinner. We often get it as a take out for dinner that evening.

I stopped by in the Reading Terminal Market with a bunch of coworkers and had a great lunch. The salmon and rice is flavorful and a big portion. Definitely ask for extra peanut sauce to maximize your experience.

Funny how with all of the amazing choices at Reading Terminal, I'm always drawn back to Little Thai Market. Today I had the Chicken Basil and it was amazing as usual, as were the Chicken spring rolls. Price, flavor, quantity and quality - you can't go wrong.

This place is located inside Reading Terminal Market. We had the salmon with red curry sauce on a bed of rice with broccoli. Also an order of 8 steamed crab dumplings (they were like shumai). The salmon was a huge portion of grilled salmon filet. The sauce with the dumplings was delicious. Served on a bed of lettuce, scallion, onion and red peppers. So good and so reasonable! $14 for salmon curry and dumplings.

Correctly named the Thai Food Market, I took advantage of a Saturday with a packed market but no real line at this popular Thai spot. I had a very tasty and well spiced but not too hot Shrimp curry.

Great food, excellent portions and quick service. The Pad Thai has a great taste. The coconut soups are also really good. There is always a line because of its popularity.

Got the chicken basil at around 10:30 It was amazing Not too spicy and I was given a very generous portion for the price - $7.00 They were friendly and fast

Don’t even bother to get anything other than the salmon curry. It’s the best dish they have. No one ordered anything else and repeaters say it's the dish to get. Might want to request extra broccoli, because you only get a few pieces. Say yes to both sauces. Lots of bang for the buck! Line moves quickly.

Considering this restaurant is in a Market it is very good. With the long line I figured I would not be disappointed. And everyone was getting the salmon over rice so my quick lunch was apparent. Only problem was... no one with whom to share such a large portion. It was truly delicious. I was also able to take home some kaffir lime leaves and galanga from their market. They also have other Thai seasonings. The counter people were very pleasant and helpful in my choice of sauces. Don't be discouraged by the long line. It's an indicator of something good and moves fast Will return with friend on my next Philly visit..

I saw their salmon curry listed in a best of Reading Terminal market article & knew I had to try it when we were there. I'm a huge fan of Thai food but I was a little unsure of the salmon. I shouldn't have been. It was tender & a perfect compliment to the sauce. Make sure to order it with extra sauce & don't forget cash. I would have preferred a little more kick to the sauce but my husband thought it was perfect as is. Don't expect personal service, they do funnel the customers through quickly. I was fine with that as this isn't a five star restaurant but wanted to warn others who may expect more.

This restaurant is in Reading Terminal Market. We ordered the salmon with rice and both types of sauce. The portion of salmon and the accompanying rice is plentiful. They usually have a long line and the service is quick. There is no place to sit down at this restaurant. However, there are a few sitting areas dispersed around Reading Terminal Market.

There really isn't a good time to go get a meal from this place. You will wait in line whatever time you go. I get the salmon, no rice with teriyaki. The size of the salmon is enough for two. So worth the wait.

All I can say is yum. Some of the best Thai food I've had in a long time. It's inside reading Station Market, so expect crowds. The restaurant also does not have an assigned seating area, The thing I like the most is the service is fast and that does not impact the quality of the food, so this is a good option for lunch. It was perfect for us since it was across the street the the Hop-on Hop-off bus stop. You won't be disappointed.

We ate at Little Thai Market in Reading Terminal Market in Philly. We all got pad thai (I got chicken and the family got shrimp). It was not particularly spicy (a disappointment to me) but it was a decent size portion and had many large pieces of chicken, tofu and peanuts. They were a bit too generous with the bean sprouts for my taste but, overall, for my $6.50, it was not a bad deal. We were able to step right up and order without waiting on a busy, Saturday at 1:30. Seating in Reading Market is a whole other ballgame. It was very busy and crowded and seating was hard to come by. With so many other vendors in the market, I doubt I would eat it again but it was a decent portion, decent taste for the price.

Was not anticipating such excellent Thai Food at this very unassuming little stand in Reading Terminal Market. But wow. It was fantastic! Salmon Curry was off the charts. The prices are ridiculously cheap as well. Be prepared to wait in a LONG line....and know that there is a very good reason for it!
Out of hand!
Yummy salmon curry. I am still thinking of the salmon curry. And what a price ($6.50, I think, for a huge plate with extra sauce). Make sure to order with extra sauce or it might be dry. Don't be intimidated by the line. The experience is a little like Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi". Order quickly with the first person you see when you are in line -the one who seems to be putting the meals together, then pay at the cash register and quickly step aside or incur the wrath of the rest of the line behind you. They will call you when your order is ready.
