Our server started off good then all went downhill quite fast. It wasn't that busy but she was really slow. We arrived at 9pm... After being seated, It took 5 minutes to order drinks. Another 20 for food..after she disappeared. An hour later we had to find her again.to get checks! The service was just horrible and the food wasn't even that great. Will only return for the live music. They can have everything else

First time here and happened upon the $18 night and had the full menu! It was really good food especially the lamb and steak. Tony our server was great.

I had a Groupon-type voucher for this restaurant so I was excited about trying it out. Week #1 (Saturday) there was a private party, so no tables for the public until after 9 PM. Week #2 (Saturday) I called in advance and was told they were booked, so not even taking reservations. Week #3 (Sunday) I called and was told even though they had table available they suggested I make a reservation. However, the reservation had to be made for more than 1 hour from the current time. ??? When we got there a security guard asked to see our IDs. When we went inside, evidently there was a live music performance. A genre of music I am unfamiliar with (was NOT Latin) was playing at an INCREDIBLY LOUD level. I had to literally scream to the host for him to hear me. My boyfriend and I had to text each other for the entire meal because we could not hear each other from across the table. A small conciliation: the food was pretty good. WILL NOT GO BACK. EVER.

Fun place, good tapas & drinks, but always crazy busy in the warm temps

Chose this place since it was near the Botanical gardens for our group outing, and it was delicious! Hope to go back again soon!

Visited Luna with a friend tonight. We had a lovely time. The band was excellent. The best part was our bartender Ryatt. She was GREAT and took excellent care of us. So grateful!

Have eaten here a couple of times now and I can say their tacos are very tasty and fresh. They have a special on Thursday where you can have beer and tacos for 2$ each, which is a very good deal. I also tried their key lime cake and loved it. They also have live music which is a plus. We'll be going back.

Great cocktails, pretty good tapas. Love the avocado and shrimp cocktail.

If you love to eat appetizers- THIS IS THE PLACE TO COME ON TUESDAY NIGHTS!!! Delicious yuca, skirt steak skewers and fried coconut shrimp galore!!!! All you can eat for $18 - come see Jesse - what a deal - live music and great drinks as well!!!!

the food is good here but to me loca luna is just the setting of so many amazing times with friends and dates

great for partying

Lots of energy and many choices on the menu. Live salsa bands are lots of fun and add energy to the evening. Lots of fun ... not the best place for a romantice evening, but that's not it's intent.

I got the queso frito and the costillas espanoles. The fried cheese is goat cheese and it was really good. The ribs were decent but not my favorite, but that's probably me just being picky.

Want to drink, lose your high frequency hearing, and eat mediocre food? Local Luna offers a bar-like setting, ample room for entertainment and not much else if you're after a quality tapas experience. The staff is friendly as well as knowledgeable and does its best. But the cavernous interior, combined with the night-club ambiance is a turn-off for anyone looking for a dining experience as well. Except for the drinks, the food prices are modest and some of the tapas offerings creative but atmosphere and surroundings are a thin cut above plastic cutlery and paper plates. But, if you're out to get blitzed, it won't matter...

Wow! The best tortilla chips ever - so tasty! The ceviche was also fantastic and the live music was great. The employees were also very friendly and helpful.

We went on Tuesday, which is all you can eat for $18. The waiter just kept bringing out yummy plates to try. We had a picky teenager who found several things he liked including the coconut shrimp, nachos, empanadas, and calamari. It's a great deal and the waiter was very attentive.

despite their good location & local glitterati customers, this isn't anything worth visiting unless you like the same ol' mexican wanna-be food, noise, & crowded spaces,,, didn't notice too many actually having conversations even amongst the majority of customers who seemed to be mid-30s

I was in Atlanta for a week and I was told to visit Loca luna, my hotel was by the airport so I took an Uber to the restaurant on Friday august 11th at about 8:30pm when I walk in I told the greeter that I wanted to eat dinner and she told me that she could not provide me a table because I was by my self and if I wanted to eat I could go to the bar, when I went to the bar all of the high chairs were taken and there were more than 10 tables empty but they would not sit me there...I went back and told her that I wanted to eat dinner and I should be provided a table I told her if I were there just to drink I would not mind standing well she then proceeded to tell me that it was only through a reservation that I could get a table because they were full...Hello many empty tables in the bar area and in the main seating area...I was so upset that I left i paid $20 to get there and leave in 10 min because they wouldn't provide a table for me to eat and $20 to get back no dinner. I suggest that if in Atlanta dont go to Loca Luna the music was horrible and the place is not all the hype it says it is. and that music was not salsa or merengue dont know what that was...Thank God the Uber driver was super nice and stopped at a pizzeria on the way back to the hotel and I was able to eat dinner in my room....hope this is helpful if your in Atlanta great city great people but not Loca Luna....

Great food, reasonable prices, and there's always entertainment at Loca Luna, may it be hip music, a salsa performer/instructor, or a live band. It's great for large parties.

My husband and I chose here for our date night before going to a Michael Buble concert. We knew we needed a little to eat and a few drinks, but we were still stuffed and had plenty to eat with just a few different options. We really liked this little spot and will try to come back when we have more time to stay and hear the live music. The service was exceptional. They really show they care about your experience there. We had reservations for 5:00 on a Sunday so we didn’t get to see or participate in any of the dancing but our food was great and the passion fruit mojitos were delicious and fresh. We ordered sautéed mushrooms, which were some of the best we ever had ever had next to my garlic ranch crockpot mushrooms. We shared the trios with guacamole, salsa and cheese dip. Salsa and guacamole wets great, cheese dip was meh. But nobody beats The Border in Carrollton for cheese dip. The hummus was good and the coconut shrimp were very good as well. Love all of the lighting and decor. We will definitely be back for the food and atmosphere. Would really like to try the dance lessons. Cool place, great staff and good food.Would definitely recommend. Good for a date night or bringing friends or family. Parking wasn’t bad considering where it is located but I can imagine it gets pretty full on Friday and Saturday nights.

I've been here before and it was great! That's why I wanted to celebrate my birthday with friends here. Well, they must be under new management. The hostess needs to be replaced. I called to make a reservation for our group. The hostess called back and first said that they couldn't give us a reservation for dinner until 9pm. So I started asking about other options, then she decided that she could make the reservation, but only if I call all of my friends coming and tell them that we couldn't be seated until they show and double confirm the time with them. Then I had to call her back and reconfirm the number. I understood that she wanted them to be there by the reservation time. I said I'd be glad to make the calls but I'm not capable of controlling my friends and making them on time, but I'd be glad to remind them. So I did, and I called the restaurant back to reconfirm and to adjust the number down from 8 to 6 since two people would be swinging by at a later time. But no one answered, so I left a message and no one called me back. We showed up for the reservation hoping that we still had it since she never called back. When we got there she was behind the desk and commented that she was the one who spoke with me on the phone. She said they could seat us once everyone arrived. Not everyone was on time, most people were late by 10 or 15 min. She tried to make me feel bad for this but it didn't work. I had said up front, I'm not their mother...I have no control over when they get here. So we were seated somewhere between 7:45 and 8:00pm. The reservation was for 7:30, which is the time at which everyone said they would arrive. No biggie. When you looked around, there were plenty of empty tables so I have no idea why she gave us so much trouble. The waitstaff was helpful and very kind. The food was yummy. The Latin band really starts somewhere around 7pm and plays on and off for a few hours. (The website says they start at 9, but they really start much earlier.) They are excellent musicians and play great together. They really are a blast. Towards the end of the meal we were all done, but the waitstaff was busy else where so we weren't able to ask for the check...for like 10...15 min. While we were waiting to ask for the check, the hostess came back by the table. She said, "Remember how we talked on the phone and I said you could have the table until 8pm, well it's 9pm and we need the table. You need to be done and leave." I was so shocked by both, the blatant lie, and the fact that she was actually asking us to leave, that all I said was, "Ummmm, ok...?" While my friend was clear headed enough to say, "We can't leave until the waiter brings the check and we've been waiting for him to show up so we can ask for it. If you can get his attention, we'd really appreciate it. Otherwise we aren't able to pay for the food...and we normally pay for our food before we leave." Once we got the check everyone was prepared with cash... they added their items up, marked their items, put in their cash, and even still there were items on the bill that no one ordered and no one received. At that point everyone was SO OVER this that everyone just chipped in extra cash so we could get out of there. In hind sight, when the hostess was asking us to leave we probably should have stood up to leave and acted like we were going to walk out. Then we could have easily gotten the attention of the right staff members so we could quickly pay and so I could let mgmt know how we were treated. Although I'm not sure that they would have cared. I'm not snotty, I'm very nice...very sweet, thoughtful, and love to have fun. None of us got rowdy, no one got drunk and rude, we were very nice to the staff, and we couldn't believe how we were treated. No wonder so many Atlantans have complained recently. I just thought you should know before you go so you can be prepared.

Great food...fun atmosphere

Loca luna is absolutely one of my faves in Atlanta. I have been going here since they were at their old location and I still love it. Good food, good prices, good drinks, great music and vibe. Very fun environment that has been named Best Girls Nite Out a few times. I haven't ever had anything I didnt like and i have tried quite a few of the tapas. My absolute fabe is the Crispy Shrimp with Jicama and Mango!! Be on time for your reservation on a busy Saturday nite.

We go very often to loca luna. It is a great club, although during the summer is a little hot. But still a awesome. Somedays they have brazilian music, but for sure every time you get to dance some salsa.

Had such a delicious mix of tapas and drinks. Marquita was a wonderful server and made great recommendations.

The service was prompt and everyone's order was accurate. The atmosphere is very loud on the weekends!

We went for a friends bday celebration and the place was jumping. Always lively music going on. Haven't eaten here yet, just hung out with friends.

I went there with my daughters and enjoyed the ambiance and food. Great value for the money. I will definitively go back

Terrific tapas and great atmostphere with live music. Be careful with that deceptively strong and tasty sangria.

Booked by reservation through an apparently highly selective reservation process (as if I needed pre-clearance or something) for a night of dinner and salsa dancing. The hostess couldn't figure out where to seat us, sat us (a party of 2) at a six-top table, then asked us to move because the table was too big for a party of two. Then we had a waiter who was obviously gay or a misogynist and was dismissive of my wife as she spoke. She asks a lot of questions about menu items due to allergies and the waiter was nearly tapping his foot with annoyance. Then he got her drink wrong TWICE. I finally spoke to him with rather direct language and suddenly the drink arrived correctly. The food was tapas style and veered from quite good (the calamari and plantains) to average (the moqueca Brazilian stew) to awful (the costillas espanolas - beef ribs, which tasted like burnt sugar). The drinks were weak and took forever to get another round. As for salsa dancing, we chose Saturday because the salsa music is live. We expected a cleared dance floor, but the dance floor was covered with tables. Our server boredly informed us that we should come back after 11 p.m. when the tables are cleared and the dancing begins. So we did. We went elsewhere to another club, returned at 11 to find the salsa band gone and a DJ playing bachata music. Suffice it to say we had a less than stellar experience and the next time we go salsa dancing, we'll look for other alternatives. The same goes for tapas. We'll look elsewhere.

The service that I experienced was very good I liked the food The atmosphere was perfect I liked the music

Another one of my regular spot. One thing that I'm not happy about...over the past two years. Prices on the menu increased and the portion is smaller. Also service can be VERY slow. reservation is highly recommended and make sure the entire is on time or else you may have to wait an hour on a Saturday night.

My family really enjoys the portion size and variety of tapas, share-plate style of dining and Loca Luna has a terrific selection of very tasty dishes. The restaurant is a great choice when visiting the Botanical Garden and/or the Holiday Lights exhibit. Located on the east side of Piedmont Park, I highly recommend dining then walking through the park to the Botanical Garden. My family and I had a wonderful evening.

Went to Loca Luna on a Saturday to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time before we were seated. My friend had pre-ordered 10 selections for our menu. We only received 7. Out of the 7 only 3 were good. The waitress was slow and the food was slow coming out. My husband had to pay $2.50 for a 10 ounce Sprite. He ordered 2. There are no free refills. Well the manager discounted our bill $4.00 per person since we didn't get all the items my friend selected. When we received our bill we really didn't get a discount once they added the gratuity. I had to pay a $10 gratuity to a waitress that really didn't deserve it. I really enjoyed the live music but that was all. Maybe if I had ordered from the menu it would have been different.

I;'ve been for their day party and a regular night out for a friends bday and had a great time. good food, great music and awesome vibe...this place was fun Fun FUN!!

The staff is awesome and we sat on the patio and had a blast. The food is really good and we had a blast eating at Loca Luna...

This place was awsome. i recently went on a wednesday night with a group of girlfriends and it was a great ladies night. They had a great selection of tapas and really really good sangria. Even better was the free salsa lessons and the band!

After spending a week at an airport hotel for a company meeting, our group wanted to get away for dinner and drinks. Loca Luna was recommended by one of our work colleagues. Our group of 22 experienced a buffet of ten types of tapas, etc. along with a few beers and cocktails in an upstairs room. The food was pretty good and our servers were very attentive. Overall a good night out in a relaxed environment. Mission accomplished.

Have not been back in a while. Motor a friend visiting from out of town. The Tuesday Tapas menu has changed since the last time I have been. The menu was excellent. Go on Tuesdays; you can try everything on the menu.

Went on a Saturday and there are no specials. The tapas were TINY portions at ridiculous prices. Get this...no refills even on a $2.50 glass of tea. Loca Luna get over yourselves.

Live music and salsa lessons. Ronnie our waiter was amazing. Pargo Salteado was awesome. I have been here before but this was my first time trying this dish. I will be back.

This is the first time i have been here. I loved the wonderful drinks that were smooth, and tasty. The food was great. Loved the way they came out at different times. Our server was so accommodating. I sure will go again!!!

My Girlfriend found this place for our valentines day dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised! A lot of Tapas places will just put typical food on small plates and call it a day, but Loca Luna really did nail it with not just the food and style, but the atmosphere and Live Music. It was a Great Time and our server was pleasant and the right level of attentive, especially for a date night. We had a slew of Tapas, my personal favorite was the Patatas Bravas, and my Girlfriend went nuts for the Fried Plantains. The Tres Leches was delicious and Massive, and the Churros are great too. Will definitely return should I find myself back in Atlanta

I ate at Loca Luna on Tuesday because they have all you can eat Tapas for $18. You can try all of them or keep getting the same ones over and over. The food is good. If you try all of them you will find something you really like. They always have a live band in the evening so if you want music come after 7:00. The Mojitos are good too. You can't beat this deal.

My wife and I are always trying out new spots. So we decided to try out Loca Luna, a wonderful place that offer tapas(small plates). On Tuesday it is all you can eat which is a great value. The variety of food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. I recommend trying Loca Luna .

I love this place. I don’t go here all the time but I definitely like to come and get my salsa on. I don’t know how to tango at all, which is what most of the people there like to do but I don’t care. I am going to do what I know and do it well!! I have seen people meet someone new down there and they are usually pretty nice to even try to teach you. One of the best things about this location is the fact that they have a live band. OMG, I love it! It gives you a feel like you went far, far away on a plane to Spain or something. Very lively and exciting music!! The crowd is mixed. You have Hispanic, Blacks, Whites, Asians young and old there .For the ladies, this is a perfect place to wear that cute dress for doing whatever dancing you like to do. However, if you really aren’t into the dancing, it’s still a good spot for the Tapas and good drink specials. I haven’t eaten there in a couple of years but when I did, I enjoyed the food. This place is very roomy, except at the dance floor when every body is on it. But right beside the dance floor is a very open area that people dance on as well, which is not for the shy person. Everyone can see you and you can possibly become the center of the attention!! This place has an upstairs and a patio as well. They have plenty of seating for eating and usually is free to get in before a certain time (usually always has free entry for women before 11 pm). The seating is kinda of scarce if you are not eating but once they are no longer serving food, you are ok to sit wherever you like. Anyway, It’s a good place to have a get together with your girls, friends and a date. I definitely adventure here at least twice a year.

I was hesitant to try this place out since I hadn't heard much about it except that it was a salsa dance joint. I went there for my birthday and called to reserve a table for 15. The man on the phone was extremely helpful answering every question I had and gave me some important information about hosting a large group. We arrived at 9pm and the band was playing but no one was dancing.... Yet. The service was great for the first 30 minutes and as it got busier the service got a bit slow but that's understandable. However, my friend ordered chips and queso but gave up waiting for it after asking our waitor about it several times. The dancing didn't really get going until about 10:30 and by 11 all the tables on the dance floor were moved and we had the best time! Everyone was dancing, some awesome and some not so good which was great since we had never danced salsa before! The people and staff were really friendly and parking was too bad! Hope this helps!

Favorite place in Atlanta. Latin tapas and music. Great mojito and food. Fantastic atmosphere.

For my sister's bachelorette party, we ended the night by dancing, dancing, dancing at Loca Luna. The environment was nice for a mix of friends from all over. We had a great time.

I visited Atlanta in February and had the pleasure of patronizing Loca Luna. The food was good, not too heavy but satisfying all the same. We had good drinks and the atmosphere was prime for good laughs with friends. When I visit Georgia again I will definitely be stopping in, and this time I plan to get in on the Salsa dancing!!

This is the closest thing I have to latin live music in Atlanta and I love it. I came for the first time with my husband and his school friends and I was so surprised by the music. It can get a little crowded like every other dancing spot but it's okay for a night that you feel like dancing. I have also been here twice just for food and to listen music and we like the food.

I live a few blocks away and usually go to Loca Luna when friends are in town. It has a very large selection of affordable tapas with a cool dining area. I do prefer to go early or on a weekday as Fri and Sat. can be a real nightmare with service. Pura Vida has a tad better tapas, but for the money i'd stick with Loca Luna. Unlike other posters, I don't care too much for their mojitos. They put pineapple juice in it which i feel detracts from the mint flavoring of the mojito.

food has been better but is still good. Sangria and caipirinhas, brazilians and other flavors of latinos party it up here... come on friday for the best music.

We had a lot of tapas and great drinks. Then the music and singing started and everyone had a great time. Tables are close together and it gets noisy.

Loca Luna is the liveliest dance club with a live band and skilled DeeJays. It is packed on weekends and really needs to widen its rooms due to its popularity. It's well orchestrated in its design with a large bar, a large dance area and a small dining area. The dining area is too dark with dark wood, dark walls, dark red floors and need the colors of Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. There is a need to Brighten the dining room to feel like these beautiful places. The menu seasonings could be a bit more dramatic to suit the lively atmosphere. I will come back soon. ~Partee

Even though the food is good, we come for the fun; they accommodate large groups with a reservation. They have plenty of parking with courtesy valet as well (I tip $5 - $10). The band was great, and the salsa dancers were all over the place. This is a multicultural environment with all types, and flavors of Salsa. I am still learning, but people are willing to show you the moves. It starts to get crowded at about midnight and it can get very hot, so dress in something that breaths, or wicks.

We went here with a big group of friends last night. I was skeptical when I found out they had a brand new menu and chef - less than two weeks old. No worries! The food was outstanding. The grilled pineapple is ridiculous - so good. Our waiter was awesome but I had to take some stars off the service rating because they only gave us one waiter for 15 people. Who does that? The poor guy could not possibly get to all of us quickly so it took over half an hour before the people at the end (me) got their drinks. That's just bad.

Awful service, cruddy food, and Mean...Mean...Mean door people.

I'm not crazy about the food, but the live band is great do dance to (I love to salsa and merenge!) and jumping in the fountain out front is fun, too, though I think no one is really supposed to do that. haha!!

Very unimpressed with my experience here. My husband and I came the day before Valentine's Day because they were running a ScoutMob special and we thought, why not, let's try it! Food was terrible, every tapa was over-salted and came in a tiny portion. Now, I know it's a tapa...but don't charge me $6 for two TINY veggie skewers that taste purely of salt. The menu stated "empanadas" yet we were only brought one..."s" at the end generally means plural...as in at least TWO! Okay fine, food was bad, we just wanted to pay and leave. The waitress then tells us "oh the manager said we're not taking ScoutMobs today because it's Valentine's Day weekend" EXCUSE ME?? 1. It's not even Valentine's DAY 2. We didn't eat a single thing off their "Valentine's Day Menu" (for the record, using pink wine instead of white and charging the same price DOES NOT make it a special) 3. When you agree to do a ScoutMob you agree to do a ScoutMob...you do not get to choose what days you feel like accepting the deal. If you didn't want to have it valid on Valentine's Day weekend then that better be explicitly STATED on the app! We say we want to speak with the manager. He comes over (15 minutes later) and tells us (very rudely) that they're not accepting ScoutMobs this weekend but that he will accept ours and we will be the ONLY table that gets the deal that weekend. I'm sorry....WHAT? That is not how you handle a customer service interaction. Don't act like you're doing US a favor! Clearly you only got our business because of ScoutMob so you better honor that! Instead you should APOLOGIZE. Say it was an oversight on your part. That you meant to take it off for the weekend but forgot and will, of course, honor it as stated. VERY UNHAPPY with quality of food and service and will not be coming back here in the future!

great dancing with OK food

We went to Loca Luna for some night fun and great food, but was pleasantly surprised about the extra fun! What's different with this restaurant is not only do you get great tapas food but, also, great dancing! We were able to catch the full meringue band and learn a few new dance steps. Dining: There are quite a few seating options, outdoors on the patio, indoors close to the band, or in a private dining room (which you must reserve in advance). Atmosphere: Great energy, people who are there to have a great time, wonderful band followed by a DJ after late hours. Great after hours spot and one of the best places in Atlanta! Will be back soon!

I was in Atlanta for a seminar and decided to take my son, who is in college, to dinner. We were actually taken to the wrong restaurant by the taxi, but decided to try it because the atmosphere looked really good. The food was great, and the service was lovely. We didn't run into a problem until we tried to get a cab ride back. The hostess called and tried to get us another taxi, but he never showed. After 30 minutes waiting outside, the manager, Brandon Wagner, came out and arranged for Uber to pick us up and took care of everything, even waiting outside with us until we were picked up! Wow! What a great impression! He is the reason we will continue to come back. Thanks so much!

I have loved Loca Luna since their old location. The food is always great. My faves: chicken skewers, crispy shrimp (so good), Spanish style ribs, crispy potatoes. Great place for a Friday/Saturday night. Gets more lively as the night goes on. Get up and dance and let the music move you...even if you don't, don't worry others will!!

We have been there for dinner and now that they have brunch. I cannot complain about the food or service. Nice atmosphere for any type of event. My grandkids loved the fish pond and once music began all little ones where dancing. Saturday is tons of fun with the live band.

Tasty small plates served up in a big, indoor/outdoor Caribbean-type environment. Great entertainment; we danced Salsa. And outstanding Mojitos! Interesting mix of Atlanta's folks all thrown together in the name of food and fun.

The menu has a lot of variety and one of the best place for tapas in the city.

Hot ladies, Latin music with a taste of some current rap. Good times!! Reasonable beer and drink prices. Coat check, dance floor, 2 bars, outside patio.

The food is OK, nothing extraordinary. The ambiance Horrible, salsa most of the time, many cholos there, and the dance floor is not big at all, crouded every body hits every body at the dance floor, bathrooms most of the time you have to wait in line. I dont recomended at all.

One of the coolest restaurants! Fun atmosphere!

Over the years this place has consistently been a go to restaurant for live latin music and tapas. Went last weekend and was happy to see nothing had changed and the place is still a hot spot! There is a large tapas menu with items you can share or eat separately and the cocktails are delicious. Their specialities include mojitos and sangria among others. The decor is very festive and great for groups. They also have live latin music regularly with space for salsa dancing - check their website for hours and more info about the schedule. Recommend!

This was not my first visit. I have enjoyed each time I went. This is the first the that I only went for the music. It was very festive. I loved the Latin vibe. Everyone was having a great time. I will definitely be back! On Saturday nights you need to call and try to make a reservation or get there early. There was about a 45 min to hr wait for a party of 3. They also have complimentary valet parking as well. That was a bonus. All attendants and hostesses were very nice.

I used to sing Loca Luna's praises, but the special magic that the menu used to have is just not there anymore. I may give it another try if I get a coupon, but I am not sure.

Fridays are always a good day to go because there are usually a lot of people there at night dancing and having fun. We showed up for dinner had some tapas, shots, and stayed for the dancing portion. The band was good and the people there were great. Overall great atmosphere!

I had been hearing about Loca Luna for quite some time. I finally went with some friends on an all you can eat tapas night. The waitress was not very attentive, did not keep track of our orders and took forever to bring the check. My friends and I were placed near a very drafty door and froze the entire time we were there. On a positive note I did enjoy the food. Unfortunately it will take a lot for me to give Loca Luna a second chance :-(

great live bands

A disappointment compared to Eclipse di Luna, its sister restaurant. The mojitos tasted bitter and flat with too much club soda and not enough mint or lime. The waitress finally did bring us other drinks and not charge us for the first pitcher. The food was higher priced and not as good as Eclipse di Luna, and the dance floor was so crowded we didn't even try. Next time I'll just stick with what I know is great. One hit of the night were the potatoes.

There isn't any one of Loca Luna's small plates that I have tasted so far that I didn't like. My favorites are the chicken empanadas, crab cakes, Spanish style ribs, plantains drizzled with condensed milk, crispy shrimp, and shrimp enchiladas. There's a fun atmosphere when the live band is present. You can relax at your table or get up and dance. Each time I have gone, my servers have been attentive, and I will definitely go back. I would suggest making reservations, especially if you are going on a Friday or Saturday night.

A party of 18 (including myself) came here to celebrate a birthday on Cinco de Mayo. Their menu is tapas. I ordered chicken skewers that come with plantain & chicken empanadas. They were both delicious. I had a margarita and it was great as well. We experienced delays with our server, but it was due to the large number of patrons. She provided excellent service. The atmosphere was nice. We were seated on the patio and enjoyed the breeze while listening to music coming from the dance floor. I will definitely return!

Casual bar atmosphere. We sat outside in the semi enclosed patio with fans. It was a warm day so warm but the fans made it tolerable. They take your temperature as you enter and all the staff were wearing masks. Love the tapas sized servings, nice and small and lite for a hot summer afternoon. Waitress was very attentive, refilled our waters frequently. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict which was supposed to have avocado, poached egg and hollandaise but it showed up with no avocado. Not many ingredients so a bummer they totally missed one but the egg was cooked nicely and the hollandaise had some zing. Other items we ordered were correct. Ordered Gazpacho shots it was a special, two shots of Gazpacho each with a very large shrimp hooked on the rim, nice presentation. The Loca sliders where a nice sized serving for light brunch as was the Loaded burrito and Gambas al Ajillo. Our table of 4 also shared an order of guacamole.

The atmosphere here is great, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Tapas selections are great and hardly one we have tried on several visits that we don't like. The Sangria is fabulous! Great service and occasionally even a little live entertainment.

What NOT to love about Loca Luna! Definitely one of the hottest spots in Atlanta. Great food, though if you're not a fan of small plates you may not enjoy the portions. But if you do read on. Arguable the best mojito around. Always beautiful people in the place, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. You're bound to catch the best Latin bands around, along with a dj ready to rock the spot. Always a great time at this spot.

Always have a great time there! Great service, great drinks, great music! Wear comfortable shoes though no seating during club hours.

The worst service I've had in years and years. We walked out after sitting at a table while waiters ran by us not even stopping long enough for us to say "Excuse me!!!!!" Terrible service. I've been here before and the taps aren't bad and the atmosphere is fun; but the service and awful cocktails make it hard to justify.

Great Brasilian place..good food and great music and experience something different. But one thing does disappoint me all the time, as a frequent traveller and considering Loca Luna is a Brazilian restaurant..there is nothing which is Brazilian..no Brazilian music, no Brazilian dancing, and no Brazilian dinner. The only thing Brazilian is the Capirinha which can be found in any bar these days.

This was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. We love Spanish food and tapas style eating, but this was such a disappointing visit. The food was mediocre, at best, and we sampled a variety of the food: all 3 types of empanadas; the salmon; filet; goat cheese with caramelized onions; abondigas; mushrooms; fried shrimp; the tres leches and flan. Nothing was great, although the flan was ok. The wine list was horrible, even though we got the best bottle on the menu. Our friend ordered a glass of the Chilean Malbec, but even that was subpar. We would have stayed for the music, which I understand is excellent, but we thought we’d go home and drink good wine. I gave it 2 stars b/c the server, Matt was quite attentive and professional. I used to be an avid TripAdvisor user, but am beginning to question these reviews. FourSquare gave Loca Luna a much more realistic assessment of 7. Will start using FourSquare in the future.

Yum. One of my favorite places to go in ATL. Totally a great vibe- especially with live music. Keeps you happy and the choices of tapas are classic and so much fun. I could go every day if I had my choice :-)

I LOVED the Loca Luna that was near Juniper/Ptree. I'm not so thrilled with the new one in Amsterdam Walk. The menu doesn't seem to have as much variety, plus we were there in a storm and the electricity went out and there was very little we could order. And we still wound up spending over $100 there (sheesh!)

great live music. great variety of people. good food. Too crowded sometimes.

This is a lovely restaurant and bar with a country settings with a wide variety of meals to choose from if you go on Tuesday night you will get the all you can eat and the food is very good we had the lamb, chicken shrimp with plantain and cassava and potato I got the grape fruit drink that is all natural our waiter was Jamie and the service was good after the meal get ready on a weekend for some latin dance it is fun with good food

The month of Feb. 2013.. My experience was horrible..We had reservations for 9pm they didnt have our table ready until 10:45. The host Kayla said the couldn't find my reservation but called an confirmed with me that morning. Management didnt know how to handle anything they didnt comp anything or even apologize about the service. Our food wasn't warm nor good. We talk to Clark the GM he gave poor excuses about there service an didnt handle anything.. so he was no help. So I will contact Eric Kline the Owner!

What a treat to have all you can eat tapas once a week for a set price. You can try all the varities and not be disappointed. I have made reservations as it gets crowded especially when the music starts.

We were seated at a dirty table and I had to tell the guys to clean the table No server came to take orders, I had to get one from another area! The place is filthy!! Be careful sitting in the chairs... They may break from under you. Very old decor

Food is just ok- not special. Drinks are good - service just ok. Go there for big screen (single event sports like world cup soccer for example...)

I can't believe I haven't' been to this place before. Many people have recommended it over the years. I came for the dancing but didn't realise how great of a weekend destination it can be. There is a Spanish or Brazilian bands that plays every Friday. Then after 11ish, the band packs up for the DJ and they move the tales out the way for the dance floor. You can order the tapas style food quite late and I was impressed with the grilled chicken skewer and quesadilla that I tried. I also LOVE the fact they have hookah - especially since you cannot smoke cigarettes in there (although there is a nice cushy outdoor location with comfy couches for smokers). With the music pumping mostly with the sounds of the Top 40 with a few Brazilian hits thrown in, I could see this being a great place for a regular Friday night destination, a place to throw a party or even just a nice dinner with your mates.

Best mojitos and a fun place to take a date or have a birthday party.

The drinks were great. 8 über ride from our hotel. Food was just ok. Spent as much as a fine dining on Tapas. Just ok don’t need to go again.

delicious paella and mojitos!

The tapas at loca are great! Every tapa on the menu is delish. They aren't sharing size portions even though they are tapas so don't expect to offer up your food! Service is good and they accommodate large groups. Cons:The wait can be long on the weekends and i've gone on a monday and they were closed.

The food was so GOOD, the drinks were PERFECTly made, the service was EXCELLENT, the atmosphere was WONDERFUL, and the band was GREAT! ... and I'll be back as soon as I can!

Fun lively place for tapas. The night we were there they had a terrific band playing really good Spanish music. Were ordered almost everything on the menu and were not disappointed at any of the food everything was tasty and very yummy.. Everything was served fast and hot, our waiter was terrific. Definitely a great place for groups. Tuesday night is all you can eat!

Our group went mainly for the salsa dancing, but we were amazed at the quality of the food and outstanding, friendly service. This place is managed very well and does a great by their patrons. It was a Saturday evening and the dining room was packed, but the servers were very nice and patient with our large group! I got the Spanish-style ribs, yucca fries, and a beef taco, and they all were outstanding--the balsamic ribs were to die for. I had some of my wife's plantains and calamari and those were amazing as well. They calamari was probably the best I've had at any restaurant (I'm not joking!) When we finished eating, we hit the dance floor. To be fair, there's not much space to move around with wall to wall people in front of the stage, so if you're looking to show off your fancy salsa moves you might be out of luck. :) That didn't stop us from having a great time, though. Great food and live music in Atlanta.

Delicious tapas, 'exotic' drinks (as they proclaim), and always great Latin music to entertain you while you eat or dance to all night long. The atmosphere is almost like a garden brought inside, with a huge fountain in the center of one dining room and a swirling night sky painting above the other that also functions as the dance floor after a certain hour. Always fun!!

Have been to older and newer location, food is good and the atmosphere is wonderful for partyng and dancing.

Loca Luna is a speciality restaurant (tapas) located in Midtown. I'm not aware of any Tapas in Atlanta besides this one. The food and drinks here are top notch and the live band added to the ambiance. I will definitely stop in during my next visit to Atlanta.

Very fun place to go with a group of friends!

Then this is the place for you! It is a tapas place. Good food, good atmosphere, but prepare to spend lots of $$ to get full.

Food good - rather loud

I love venues that have live entertainment. The portion size was great for tapas and the food was delicious. Drinks delicious! Live band was great. Fun dancing with friends and strangers if you wish. Really nice spot to visit after a long day to unwind.

Loca Luna has salsa saturday's with a live band. They cleared the tables out of the way and the crowd was treated to an hour of authentic latin music. Everybody had fun. The tapas are decent but the drinks we had were weak! We were a party of 5 and everybody stated that there drinks were waterdown. One of my friends complained that even her pineapple juice was watered down. Go to have fun but if you want a really good drink you might want to pick another place. We ordered a frozen margaritas and mojitos.

After wanting to eat here for a while, my husband and I finally got the chance last wkend and we had a great time. I was really wanting a good Mojito....and LL did not disappoint. I hate it when they charge 8 or 9 dollars for a drink but practically skip the alcohol.... well not at LL. The food which is served tapa style was very tasty as well. A little skimpy on some dishes but the Lula Frita, fried calamari, was delish. And the band, if you like Latin music, was awesome. The drawback and the only reason I gave LL a four is the service. Our waitress was terrible. She would not return enough even to refill water. We also felt like we could not get up to dance without the busboys taking our food. They made us feel like they wanted us to leave and we wanted to linger and enjoy more. Overall it was a good experience and we would definitely return.

This is one of my absolute favorite places to go! Not only is the atmosphere amazing, but the food is great too!! Great place for a birthday party! :-)

I visited this place in december 2016, with family and my wife to enjoy a good time. The look of this place in the outside is not something outstanding, just a regular latino dance type place. We had reservations for a table in front of the live music, but the people working there messed with my name and gave our table to someone else... So they gave us a table far from the music... A really disappointing and sad mistake if you ask me. Then we waited a god 20 minutes to be attended by a waiter who gave us a menu of food and drinks. As it was a tapas place we ordered a few lot of things to share; Asparagus (with aldmond sauce and cheese, delicious!), meat brochettes (also tender and delicious), Shrimps in coconut (really awesome) calamari fried (terrific, a 10 out of 10, go out and have them on the go), Ribs (savory and delicious) Mushrooms (way to much garlic but good as well), what else... oh yea, Patatas Bravas (with a nice touch of Alioli, enough to share, really good). Long story short, i think there was no bad food, i loved everything, price was a little high for small portion, but delicious as well. Drinks... All i had was a Blue Moon beer (nice!), my wife had a classic mojito (crisp and refreshing but nothing special), and a margarita (too sweet for anyones taste, and felt really annoyed by salt / sugar rim... tasted ... well awful). Wine was regular, and michelada was surprisingly good tasting. Place was nice, filled with a lot of christmas lights, and live music was really good and entertaining! Awesome to dance, bathrooms were clean, and the place was not as dirty as it could be. In general almost everything was good, but the service at the entrance just took a few points from their score. I would really recomend to dance, eat, and have a great time here!

Dinner and dancing with friends in this lively restaurant is a must for couples or singles. I even saw some families with children taking to the dance floor once the band/DJ for into full swing! I would definitely go back and also recommend the restaurant for groups or birthday outings!

The staff is friendly. We were seated quickly and the waitress was very knowledgeable with regards to the menu. The drinks were good. The food portion sizes of the tapas were good but the food was just okay. The live music was the best part of the night. This is a good place to go for a casual night out.

We ordered tapas & 1 paella to split amongst 4 it was plenty and taste great. We also ordered a pic of traditional mojito. Very good $35 I won't give 5 stars cuz I had a groupon & manager did not want to honor it because paella was 1/2 price. I reasoned that had nothing to do with my coupon. I thought that was petty cuz we did order 5 tapas & drinks @ reg price. I feel they need to train management to accommodate the customer. Live salsa band was awesome. I will return but this is the 2nd time they didn't want to accept my groupon.

Fun time. Good Staff. Good Music. Nice dance floor area. Good clean bathrooms. Much better than the flies and roaches in the Red Light Cafe up the hill. that place is a dump. Owner at Red Light is a known liar and drunk. Rips off bands and lies to people to get what she wants. Loca Luna is a much better choice if you are in that area.

What an amazing find!! We were encouraged not to go by our B&B host, but it was within easy walking distance. So glad we did. The food was great, as was the service, the only thing keeping it from a 5 was the noise level. I know some folks would not mind, but we did. Our server had super suggestions (his name sound like fry, pronounced southern style). The salad with jambon was the best, but all was super!

A nice place for dancing and having tacos. Go there, when they have taco all you can eat for $10. I think it is on Thursdays. Otherwise the tacos are to pricey for the quality. They also have a wide selection of tapas and Cocktails. The location is nice, but more or less in the middle of nowhere.

The dance floor is too crowded, but it is fun being there!

I always enjoy my experience here from the live music and dancing to the food a drinks! Experienced and inexperienced dancers would definitely have a great time.

Nice eclectic and funky vibe. Private upstairs room for groups. Great wait staff and awesome creative drinks. Food was solid and plentiful. Highly recommend for group outings.

Fun atmosphere...

fun place to hang out late at night

Tapas and sangria were so so. Its more about the atmosphere. Its got great little live bands in the adjacent room with salsa and additional bars.

I spent my birthday here on Feb. 23 and I must say that I had a blast!! The music was great, the crowd was live, the food was tasty, but the drinks were watered down beyond my belief. I had to order two mojitos just to make sure my sense of taste was on point..and it was. My party and myself agreed that they must have forgot to put the alcohol in our drinks. Lets just say that I would go again, but I will not be ordering a mixed beverage. If you must drink, stick with beer, wine, or shots because its almost impossible to screw that up. Go for the food and the music, but dont look forward to drinking much. Unless you plan on spending $12 on a mojito or long island.

If this the same place I went to in Midtown, I can tell you that it has very good Mojitos and awesome live music. I didn't eat here. My friends and I came here to dance. We walked about four blocks from a friend's apartment. I couldn't believe that there was no cover! When you first go in, the place resembles a large shack, but don't be fooled. One side is the restaurant with a fountain so that the place resembles a Spanish plaza (at night). The other side is the dance floor and music. When I went (a Friday or Saturday night), a local latin band was playing. I have no idea what what they were singing (since I can only read Spanish a little) but they sounded awesome. I got a jagerbomb. It would have been better if it came in a glass instead of a plastic cup. Then I got a mojito. It was great (also in a plastic cup). The drinks were expensive (around $7), but since there's no cover for the live music, I was willing to pay that price. My friends got other tropical drinks, but they all wished they had gotten a mojito. The girls' bathroom in this place is like any bar's. A little rustic, but all right. Finally, my geeky, male engineering friends were able to dance with several hot chicks. One even got a phone number and a date. This is definitely a place to hook up with people. Being married, I was unable to take part in those type of social activities. So I danced with my male platonic friends, but who cares? I had a great time!

My husband and I went here for the first time last Friday night and had a great time. We were there at about 8:30 pm so it was pretty empty. The crowds began coming in only after 10:30 pm. The food was pretty good and the service was excellent. We had the crispy spicy potatoes and tacos and guacamole, lamb chops, sauteed mushrooms. And a pitcher (plus some) of caipirinha! Yum yum! The band was nice but wasn't playing Latino music that night. But in between band breaks, they played recorded Latino music. It was wonderful to watch people sizzle the floor with their salsa moves and we joined in of course! We will definitely be back for more Latino nights and I think they have free salsa classes on Wednesdays.

Wonderful Mojitos!!!

Yummy tapas and great atmosphere! A party place.

This is an excellent place for a night out of fun....Its spirited, alive...great drinks....tapas, each prepared beautifullly...And the service.......Jaime Batero my server...went the limit with his knowledge of the menu...drinks.....and perfectly fun attitude The manager as well came out to say hello

If you're looking for a great food, drinks, service and service in Midtown Atlanta then look no further than Loca Luna. I am not kidding when I say everything I ordered tasted phenomenal. Coconut Shrimp, Crab Cake (on the small side), Fish Taco, and the pièce de résistance..grilled lamb chops (Costillas de Borrego). The best I have ever eaten. If you like strong, tasty drinks I highly recommend the Capirihanas. The ambiance was awesome. Had a Miami feel in the heart of Atlanta. The crowd was pretty diverse and the service was great. To top it off, you gotta love the live salsa music. Too bad I don't live in Atlanta. But will be a great reason to visit my BFF more often.

We ordered six different food items of the menu. The flavor was amazing. An amusement park for the tastebuds. Everything was super fresh. By far the best tortilla chips I've ever had. The steak tacos were my favorite. There was a great live band playing. The staff provided excellent service and they were all smiling and having a good time taking care of customers. The only thing I did not like was the portion sizes. I had to spend more than I wanted to satisfy my appetite.

This was part of a Living Social Deal I did to have Salsa lessons at the restaurant. They had a full buffet for us and the food was amazing. Also love the signature martini's that were prepared. Good Food Drinks and Dancing.

Loca Luna is my go to place for a girls's night out. I love the live band and then club dance music on Friday and Saturday nights!

Good food, good service, and a great price on Tuesdays. Between two of us we went through about 15 different Tapas dishes, ranging from good to excellent. The drinks and wine list are good too. We got there as it opened and left about 8:00 PM as the band was just getting going. If you are looking for food and drink and uncrowed get there early

fun, festive place. it was a bit hot in the restaurant. strong drinks. delicious food.

Nice cozy place to enjoy dinner with friends and family. One area has live music- more fun crowd there. food is good. Tapas and drink :) Server was great! Very caring as well as professional. Bathroom was not the cleanest. One stall had water flowing on the floor.

i love eating here. great service (most of the time), great drinks, ample-sized portions for tapas, good music.

We were given the name of this restaurant and after checking out the menu online, we decided to go. We loved the variety on their menu! We found so many different plates we wanted to try....and the food was excellent. We got to hear a little of the band but our reservations were for 7:30 and the band didn't start til 8:30 but we definitely want to go back for more!

Great tapas gives way to latin style dancing after 10.

I want to start this review off by saying our waiter was wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable, the food was good and the music was great. The atmosphere overall in this restaurant is fun and energetic. We called on a Saturday night to make reservations and were given a very confusing story from the hostess about whether we could reserve a patio seat. She said, we couldn't reserve a patio seat over the phone but should one become available when we were there, they would give it to us. So after a semi frustrating call, we hung up and made the reservation on open table and requested a patio seat if available. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and walked passed the patio which was all but empty. The hostess did not have documentation of our reservation at all and we were told the patio was full. After speaking with the woman for about five minutes about our earlier phone call and the fact that there was no one on the patio, we were told that the only seat available was in the cocktail area but should something come available on the patio they would come get us (side note: there were regular table seating available throughout the restaurant and we were still seated at a tall table in the cocktail area). As you can imagine, we monitored the fullness or lack there of, of the patio throughout the entire time we were there. It never completely filled up and multiple tables remained empty for the entire time we were there. Not once did the hostess come to see if we wanted to move and take advantage of the open spaces on the patio. We had originally come to stay and listen to the band and watch the dancing. We did not, however, stay long enough to see the dancing. We stayed long enough to have one tapas each and one drink. The hostess's attitude and lack of accommodation as well as lack of knowledge on the telephone caused us to spend far less time and ultimately money at this establishment. We will think twice before coming here again and or recommending it to anyone we know.

Loca Luna is always great; I especially like to take people who are in the city visiting. It is a nice escape from the norm. The eclectic vibe and variety of people present make it interesting and vibrant. Also, the tapas are delectible! Also, the manager let me reserve a table for 10 people for a birthday celebration, at NO COST! This is almost unheard of in Atlanta. I appreciate the fact that they value our business, and realize that foregoing charging for a table means they get 10 extra paying customers for the night.

I've been to loca Luna twice in the last couple of months it's a nice place to gather with friends for some Latin music. There's no cover charge unlike a lot of Latin clubs, If there is one issue I have with loca Luna is that the dance floor is way too small. Another plus for loca Luna they valet your car for free so please have cash on hand to tip 😉

In my trip to Atlanta I planned to visit special places with great reviews. I looked the information on their website, and yes made a reservation. On their menu online they have paella that I was planning to order as well as jalapenos hummus. I was expecting for the price a high end restaurant/club, and it is not bad but not what I was expecting although our server was amazing, all the waiters dressed too casual ripped shorts, shorts (ladies), shorts and jeans (men). To start the jalapenos hummus was no longer available what? I asked for the paella, and guess what it was no longer available either. We order a few appetizers (tapas) and the substitution for the paella recommended by the waiter, no that great, we also order 2 mojitos not a great taste at all, the only thing that we really enjoyed was the Yuca Fries, and a few dance. It seem that is a place for locals mainly to hang out, the group MaCuba played few songs and stop but honestly the music played by the DJ was much better. If you still decide to go dress very casual and be ready to expend around $50 per person. Owners if you read this review Please updated the menu to reflect what you really have available, and the really ambiance, and dress code.

The experience was good until we finished eating. The only negative comment is that immediately after we paid, bus boys seemed to be rushing us out by reaching over and between us to take all the glasses off the table. I felt it was bad manners to be pushed out. They took our coats out of our chairs and put them on a pile, took our chairs out and left us without sitting and without a table! I spoke to the manager but nothing happened because this is the way they do to open space for dancers. After this the night was over for us and what was a wonderful night turned into a bad experience for us.

My husband and I were on vacation in Atlanta for the weekend, and stumbled across this place on a Saturday night. The wait was not long at all. It was a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Great salsa music, great ambience and best of all GREAT MOJITOS, seriously best I've ever had!! Check this place out.

Great value for money. Great food, great ambiance. Great service. This was the first time I had Spanish food and being a vegetarian, I was skeptical to say the least. However, the spread of food was excellent. the idea of small portions of food being served first is a great idea and fully allowed us to experiment with the food before we dug into more portions of what we wanted.

The place is usually super packed. Service is good for small parties, large parties tend to get out of hand. They should always assign 2 waiters to a party larger than 12 people just to keep orders organized better. The staff is very polite and hot for some reason. The live band is amazing, but the dancefloor is too small to really get down. Overall, it's a real good time and cool place to hangout with friends and dance the salsa.

Very cool latin spot. Hot ladies.

The food was good and our waiter was excellent, but I have to downgrade my rating for 2 reasons: 1. Bathroom attendant: Not a huge deal but I think bathroom attendants are really weird and I don't like someone hanging out in the bathroom waiting to hand me soap/paper towels. 2. Parking: Perhaps this is because we visited on a Saturday night, but the parking situation was ridiculous. There is complimentary valet (plus tips) which was fine when we arrived. However, when we were ready to leave, we waited quite a while for anyone to even get our ticket (only 2 valets trying to handle all incoming and outgoing cars). When someone finally got our ticket and went to get my car, he was gone for a little while. I could see my car from where we were standing and it was partially pulled out into the line of cars waiting to come in. I thought the valet was waiting for room to turn completely until a friend said she didn't see anyone in the vehicle. We waiting a few more minutes and didn't see either of the valets in the area, so we decided to just walk over to the car. The valet had left it, half pulled into a lane of traffic, door wide open, with keys in the ignition. No one made any sort of effort to stop us from getting in the car or to verify it was actually my vehicle. I was pretty upset my car was left where it could have been hit and in a state where literally anyone could have gotten into it.

Is it really that difficult to write a one sentence post on your website to let customers know that your restaurant is closed for a private party? In addition to ours, saw several groups turned away at the door. Seems to be such a simple thing.............

This place used to be better when it was located in Midtown. Nice new digs though and much bigger, but the food quality has gone down tremendously (for latino cuisine foodies at least). Also, service is lousy as the wait staff are not very attentive. Although the food comes out quick, you'll have to wait a long time for them to come back and check on you throughout the meal and even to receive and pay the bill. Our party left there united on not coming back. With the economic situation as it is, restaurants are stepping up their game to get new customers and keep loyal ones coming back for quality food, great environment/service and overall great value. They scored three strikes with us.

A nice tapas restaurant with a salsa band. The food is delicous! Tuesday night is all you can eat tapas night.

I have been visiting Loca Luna since 2009, and unfortunately the quality of food and service is not what it used to be. I ate here in September for a friend's birthday. The mojitos were watered down and we were disappointed that some of our warm tapas came out cold. Our waiter was nowhere to be found for the majority of our meal, and the tables in the room we were seated in were stuffed in so tightly beside other tables that it was a huge imposition to leave our table to use the restaurant. This restaurant has become a disappointment, as it used to offer so much more quality food. Try another Tapas restaurant like Eclipse di Luna instead.

If you like tapas, you'll love this place! The fish tacos are excellent and I discovered several items that were a first for me. Our waiter was great and the band was wonderful.

If you love Tapas and Salsa and laughter and Sangria you cannot miss this place. This place also offers free Salsa lessons once a week.

Forget about the restaurant and let the party start! As a restaurant is average they have some really good tapas and some not so good tapas. The same with the “mojitos” some time they are awesome some time they are not. But the nightly entertainment is always good. They have live music and after 10pm little by little the restaurant turns into a nightclub.

I love it here! Great small plates, great atmosphere, great music - what more could you ask for?

This restaurant tops all other restaurants of it type in this state. The management team is very professional. The bar staff are the best 'bar none'. The servers are flawlessly great and the chef is magnificent. I have been going to this place for more than two years and cannot get enough of the Tapas Tuesdays and Latin mixers and Friday salsas. Tops.

The accommodation for our large group of 35 was good. Tables combined to make 2 long tables running parallel, with 17 at one & 18 at the other. My complaint is with the tapas. Each round of tapas consisted of 4 plates for 35 people. Not enough by far, should of been 6! The group was hungry so the first tapas (potatoes) went instantly with some not getting any. The next tapa was brought out about 5 minutes later (veggie skewers), the 4 plates went fairly quick. Come to find out the next 4 tapas would be fish tacos, ribs, chicken quesadilla, and calamari. So, the vegetarians would have to sit through all 4 rounds for the next vegetarian dish (potatoes). I explained to the server that there were a few vegetarians so we would appreciate potatoes or veggie skewers. After 19 minutes of waiting (I was counting at this point), potatoes & veggie skewers arrived. The staff seemed to do their best so I applaud them! How about spreading the veggie dishes out in the rotation? Or better yet, have the server ask how many vegetarians are present and allowing a modification to what tapas are brought out? Overall, the potatoes & veggie skewers were great! Others enjoyed the meat tapas as well. If the problem above can be fixed, I'll be happy to return when family & friends are back together. Thank you.

Went here on a double date. While it was nice, its not for everyone. They only played Latin type music which was why we left. We wanted to try the place based on what people had said.

Had been to the old location on Juniper on 3 separate occasions. Never had a bad meal there, but i will say that the drinks weren't very strong there. Most tapas items were very good to good at the Juniper location. Now its on Amsterdam. Took some friends from out of town and boasted about the atmosphere and tapas. We were seated on the back patio and were extremely toasty. Whatever. We got great tapas on the way. To be honest, the tapas wasn't close to what they had served on Juniper. And i'm not being nostalgic, either. We tried about 7 tapas between the three of us. They ranged from good to fair. The drinks had unfortunately continued to be weak. The wine was ghastly. We ordered 2 glasses (different varieties) and both were gag-a-licious. We switched to mojitos after a wine each....unfortunately not great tasting and weak. Guess i'm going back to my favorite, Pura Vida. PV has awesome mojitos and much better tapas, even though it is more expensive...it's totally worth it in value. Wished we could rate it higher.

Good food, great dancing
I always enjoy this place for tapas
This was my second visit to Loca Luna for tapas. I stil remembered how great the food was from my first visit in 2009. From that visit I still remember how great the sangria was and the special chimi that was on the menu that night. That should speak volumes. However, on this visit I found some new favorites. I suggest the spring pasta and definitely the fish tacos! AMAZINGLY good. Hopefully I'll eat here again on my next trip to Atlanta:)
