A little hard to find in the lower level of an office building. Buffet is arranged in the kitchen, with dessert selections first, then appetizers, and so on. Interesting choices, flavorful dishes one and all. Excellent bacon, a good soup that day, a wicked turkey club. Average brunch drinks. Not many buffets around, this is one to try

The steak tartare is off the chain. I should have just ordered 19 orders of it. By far the best I've ever had. It was a group of five of us, so we got many things and shared. I also really enjoyed the cornbread and the Berkshire Pork Belly. The food was good and our server was really nice, but the service was extremely slow.

Semi-difficult to locate if you aren't familiar with the area, but worth the search. The restaurant is in the lobby of an office building, nested inside an office park. Just follow the little signs. The Local Three has delicious nuanced southern food, excellent service and tasty craft cocktails. Our server went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience.

Normally not a huge fan of buffets but this one was amazing. You have to walk through the kitchen to get the food. So you know it's just been made! Not a zillion items offered but what was offered was delicious. The pastry chef is talented - flakiest danish I have ever eaten. Absolutely worth every penny. Service was great.

Let's get this straight, I am a bourbon drinker and they have a wall of bourbon! Nuff said. The environment is comfortable not stuffy, the food is eclectic and just right for some stiff drinking, the staff is knowledgeable. A fairly nice place to head out with a friend(s), get liquored up and see where it takes you.

I am a big fan of this place. Bar is EXCELLENT. I like the menu, but i will in full disclosure say my wife doesn't love it. I've had numerous work dinners here (with men and women) where the group was thrilled. The menu is somewhat narrow, but in my opinion excellent.

I have eaten here for many years, but some reason never written a review. I have been here for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and special events. Recently I have been enjoying their happy hour from 4 to 6 during the week. They always have their wonderful truffle parmesan popcorn. The now have a happy hour bar menu that included several excellent items. The buffalo egg rolls were really good. The shrimp seviche with home made chips is a favorite. The chicken sliders are also good. The dinner menu is always good and I hope to soon try the new spring items.

What a great restaurant. Everything was great. Don't know where to start. Had rabbit Brussel Sprouts for appetizer then mushrooms then seafood pot pie and Mindy had swordfish and it was all amazing. Then Chief Chris sent out two desserts that were incredible. The bottle of Steele was fabulous. We will be back.

staff was great! the interior design is captivating. the drinks are perfect! the food didn't get me as excited. i was there with 4 friends and we shared everything. we expected to be blown away but it was just okay. the portions were small for the money. my salad with peaches was pretty good though but difficult to do wrong. definitely an interesting place. not sure if i'd go back

I was here for the second time in 2018 and it was a very good experience. My only note was I thought it was expensive this trip. I had a Tomato sandwich, that was sort of like a BLT. The Bacon 🥓 was part of a “spread” , but really ate like a BTL. It was Excellent. I also tried their house bourbon, which as extremely good. Overall enjoyable. My guest actually had a BLT salad, with Heirloom Tomatoes. Honestly, the dishes were excellent, but with one drink each , at over 100s, I thought it was a bit pricey...

So I am giving this place a two (2) for the food and one (1) additional point for the ambiance. I adored the inside of the restaurant especially how you enter. It was like a secret little hide out. The food was sport bar at best (Taco Mac-ish). I decided to get the daily special of Jerk Chicken Soup (had rice and bean inside). While the flavor was "Jerkish" tasting that is where it stopped. The beans in the soup were under cooked and the rice gave a texture of being over cooked. The base of the soup was thick like a chili. Second daily special was the Hot Wings with carrots and celery. Now you maybe thinking, wings are a Bar type food, but these wings reminded me of Tyson Frozen Hot Wings. The flavor was lost on the skin of the wing which was mushy and not crisp like a hot wing should be. My friend had the trout and did not want any carbs that came with the salad. The waitress was nice about the selection. However, when the meal got to the table we had spinach instead of the kale that we asked for. The piece of fish on top of the greens was the same fish on the plate they took away which did not look light and flake as described on the menu. Looked more like "we cooked this earlier this morning anticipating someone would order it". Not good. If I do go back it will be for the atmosphere. Food too "OK" for the prices.

We had a great experience at the brunch buffet here. Server was great and very helpful. All the food was great--biscuits and pancakes stood out. Potatoes were probably my least favorite--would prefer crispier. Atmosphere was also good. We were from out of town and the place is tucked into an office-like setting. I would also recommend making a reservations, especially as they seem to fill up on weekends.

The ambiance was outstanding and impressive. Seating was quick and easy. The breakfast brunch was ordinary. The cost was $24.93 plus tax. One of my most underwhelming experiences. We went to brunch at 12:30 pm so we are between breakfast & lunch. Protein was missing. Really! Only scrambled eggs, and shrimps with grits. For bacon lovers there was a lot. So what was available for breakfast, biscuits, wholewheat french toast with mixed berries uninspiring chocolate pancake, parsnip soup, smoked salmon mousse etc. I expected that they would at least serve additional protein for people who can't eat shrimp or eggs. Service was good, but for me there is no going back.

The only challenge is locating Local Three. Once there, you are in the best place EVER! The first night we were there, we ate at the bar because we did not have a reservation. The second night we made a reservation. Both evenings were so delightful. Service was good. Food was good. Drinks were good. Enough said: Farm to table menu that reflects what is currently available!

Started with the smoked trout appetizer, which was just excellent. The trout entrée was well prepared and the burger and fries were really good. Entrees are a bit pricey at roughly $30 each. Tiramisu was very nice but the apple cobbler/strudel was light on fruit and crust and heavy on the too sweet cinnamon syrup. Service was good, tap beer selection is o.k., but if you want bourbon, they have an entire menu just for those. Very close to Paces Ferry Road exit off I-75. Casual atmosphere. Good spot to try if you haven't been.

Normally, I wouldn't go into all the omissions, however, in this case, I will. For Christmas, each member of our family recieved a ticket to Wicked. Deciding, on where to go to brunch was researched and with red velvet pancakes listed on the website, the decision was made. Next step to make reservations on Open Table. The system was blocked out so I had to call directly and my reservation was taken. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our table by a friendly hostess. The placemat is the menu, which lists , another flavor of pancake. Not the end of the world, but guys with several different locations keeping your website current is not possible. Also, if items are listed on the menu, perhaps have them on the buffet. Very smart to show off the impressive kitchen built for Joel. I have never been the type of person who has to have food scalding. If you are then this place is not for you. The food selections are placed on the pass with no heat source on. The ideal thing is stay in the kitchen and grab as its placed into the bowls after preparation. The selections are clever, but room temperature eggs, tepid quiche and less than warm short rib Mac and cheese or pork with grits Is not my ideal of great, especially paying 21.00 pp. I'm sure ordering off the menu is a different experience but brunch is ok at best.....

I have been here several times, and I really want to like it. However, I just don't understand why the menu can't describe the dishes in a way that is clear what you are ordering. I never have any idea what I want to eat there because I can't figure out what anything is. I eat out a lot and this problem only happens at Local Three. When the food arrives, it is generally good. The service is just ok. Last night, they were out of 3 different bottles of wine we attempted to order. This is pretty bad in my opinion, especially on a Thursday when they should have had time to restock from the weekend rush. The physical location of the restaurant is also a bit odd, as it is in the bottom of an office condo building. You have to actually exit the restaurant to use the restroom, which I don't care for.

This is our favorite restaurant in the Atlanta area. They offer a new menu of local cusine every feq days. Thei burgers are very good but every item on the menu comes with much planning by Chris Hall the chef and owner. They feature a whiskey bar but also offer some mice wines.

Strange location in an office-apartment complex. You have to know where you're going to find it. Friendly service, but the server kept reaching his arm in front of my face to place the dishes (giving me a nice close up viewing of his tattoos). Nice guy though. Menu was varied, casual, quirky, interesting, and good but not great.

We read about how cool the Sunday brunch is, so we just had to try it. Love the ease of walking through the kitchen. The food was terrific!

I have eaten here years ago outside. This time we ate inside and I was very impressed with the quality of the staff and their efficiency. ( Our waiter was so pleasant and helpful) My friend had the scallops, which looked great, and I had the shrimp and grits, which was also very good. We will return for sure!

It's inside an office building which is a bit misleading, but do not let that fool you, this place is incredible. We had steak, popcorn, rolls, and a charcuterie board. Would order all of them again. The menu seems to change often as a farm-to-table establishment, but I would absolutely return here and order completely different things. And for how high-quality a place this is, it is pretty reasonably priced. Not cheap by any means, but not ridiculous. Great date spot.

We tried Local Three based on trip advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. What a treat to make our plates in the kitchen as the choices were being made and refilled in small batches. The staff was exceptional - service like you just don’t see anymore. Looking forward to going back on our next trip to the ATL.

This was my first time at Local Three for dinner, and it didn’t disappoint! I had the same great foodie experience that I had for lunch. The staff was friendly, and the Brussel sprouts were awesome! I ordered the duck confit cassoulet was simply amazing and a very generous portion. I will definitely go back!

Great Farm to table concept. I will admit, it was a little hard to find the place-the hallway and closed door reminded me of trying to get into a speak easy. Highly recommended: Brussels Sprouts Cooked in brown butter, sherry and thyme... just the right amount of braise on the Brussels sprouts that were sweet and scrumptious. We shared the pot roast which was savory and delicious. Finally, the chocolate ganache cake topped off a wonderful lunch. I need a nap now!

Enjoyed a wonderful brunch with unique offerings. Can't beat the price. Can't wait to visit Atlanta just to have brunch here!

I visited the location with a group for brunch. Although it seemed like a busy time of the day, the service was excellent. Additionally, the food was delicious. Each time I went back to sample other options, the food was hot and freshly replenished. I will definitely return.

I have been trying to get over here for 2 years and just never seemed to take the hike and finally I surprised my hubby with a great Valentines Day dinner here. My initial thought was this place is really cool and swanky by the way you enter the building through the parking deck, down a hallway and thru what almost seems to be a hidden door. You definitely would have to know this place was here to find it. Then we walked in the front door and was greeted pleasantly. We went to the bar to get some drinks while our table was being ready and IN MY OPINION i would have thought that patrons were not going to be in sweat pants but apparently this is a bit of a urban type place which i am totally fine with. It is very laid back and some patrons were totally dressed up and some casual. The place is fairly big and for a couple it's kinda romantic. When we sat down due to Valentines Day they had a preselected menu and few variations. I order the Chicken and My fiancee ordered the Scallops. We also did the wine pairing. My chicken was good and her Scallops were resting on a squash mash or something like that. She didn't like hers at all. We didn't really drink the wine either because it just wasn't something we normally drink. I must say The Brussells Sprouts were amazing. The dessert was pretty good too. I think I was expecting a better choice for dinner but I wish the reservation lady informed me of the limited menu and probably would have passed for another time. Oh well, see for yourself. Its not bad food just not for us.

Perfect for a date. The food is always amazing and the cocktails are unique. There's a fountain in the court yard if you're looking for the perfect setting for a romantic first kiss!

This is an excellent choice for outside the box experience. If you want something new and fun go to Local Three!

veggie plate for the bride was great .. panko flounder was suggested by our waitress .. which was outstanding .. fish was wonderful as well .. just cant seem to go wrong with this place ... service is always great .. no bad meals .. been there multiple times

I just love this restaurant. Great place to meet friends, cool atmosphere, great to share everything. You must try the truffle popcorn! We loved the nom sod, charcuterie plate, burgers & fries, beet salad, seared tuna over fava beans, I could keep going. It can get a little loud here, but there is outside seating, too. Great wait staff. Parking kinda stinks because it’s in an office park. I’m excited to come one day for brunch!

I am the EA for Cornerstone Bank and we had our Quarterly Event at Local 3. They were very accommodating, professional and the food was delicious. Sarah Buckley and Eric -the general Manager were so friendly and gave us their undivided attention.

Excellent service and amazing food. They had a great wine list and craft cocktails. Haley was super amazing. Got us a special drink for our wedding anniversary. Armand our server could not have been more excellent! First time here and we will be back!

Just left Local Three Restaurant. Loved the crispy Brussel sprouts with orange aoli, the Big Kahuna burger, the Coca Cola / sweet potato glaze pork chop and the grilled winter plum salad. Also had charcuterie platter. I love the cool way this restaurant is decorated and the food is really good but pricey. Usually it is very busy so the secret is dining on a Sunday.

I came here for a brunch on Saturday and its absolutely amazing! Best $25 spent in my life! It’s a buffet with really high end ingredients. Completely worth every dollar spent

I can't think of another place I'd travel to in order to have a vegetable pot pie. Mind you, this isn't A Bird's Eye or Swanson pie of the 1950's right out of the freezer. This is a must order for a vegetarian--delicious, satisfying, and enough to qualify for an entree that can feed a hungry person. I had the crispy brussels sprouts as well--again, loads of flavor. My wife had the bourbon pork shoulder, which she loved. Service was first rate. Expect a crowd. It's worth it.

Charred Spanish octopus, warm beet with crabmeat salad, Angus beef tartare and two bottles of California wine made for an excellent meal. I ate so much, I've forgotten what else I ordered! I can assure you the presentation and taste was marvelous. This is a quaint setting that only gets better each time you visit. Hint: Ask for one of the off menu cocktails. The Dude (Jeff Bridges character in "The Big Lebowski") is ever present at the Maitre D desk when you walk in the door.

We had an amazing Sunday morning brunch at local three. After navigating our way through what seem to be a deserted office building ground floor we open the door to leave update vibe packed house with many folks enjoying the Sunday brunch experience. Walking through the kitchen with our plate to load up on every possible gourmet a brunch item… Too many to mention… Served by the different station cooks who were proud to tell you about their specialty. It was just such a great experience, the food was great, the ambience was great, the wait staff was so friendly and attentive.

We have been here a number of times and always enjoyed it. Our last visit before this one was disappointing given our history. Our friends wanted to go here so we did. We will not be back. My wife's fish was so oversalted as to be inedible. My steak dish was just mediocre - nothing worth returning for. The service was indifferent at best- long gaps between visits to the table, long wait to take our order, long wait for the main course. Too bad as this was once a favorite.

So I dined there for the first time. I would say the highlight was the service. I had the grouper and although it was fresh tasting, it was cooked very plain...no sauce or seasonings and seemed pricey...35.00. My boyfriend had the pork chop and he said it was a bit tough. His was paired with bitter greens and he thought that was odd. We both thought a sweet potato and maybe some okra would have been a better choice! I guess I would say that it wasn’t a memorable meal but it wasn’t bad either.

Local Three provided a nice brunch experience with great ambiance. The concept of all you can eat brunch is innovative, and the options were enjoyable.

Went here with 3 friends for lunch - place is nice and was busy even though we got there quite early. Waitstaff are very friendly - drinks were pretty quick in arriving. The food was decent - nothing amazing, but tasty and well prepared. The McDowell burger was very good - as was the #5. Worth a visit - it's good tasty food - well done.

Second time we have enjoyed a Sunday morning brunch here. The brunch is served buffet style with everything from the exotic to the mainstream with a twist. Everyone, from the adventurous to the basic appetite was pleased.

Service was great. The waiter did a great job of explaining the menu. We shared trout tartare - fresh, savory, and light. I had grilled trout over creamy risotto with bacon jam! Terrific and perfectly cooked. It was full on Saturday night and buzzing, but not so loud that you could not hear your companions.

this location is a bit difficult to find tucked in the back of an office building. It does have an open modern atmosphere with good quality food. In fact a great hamburger. They offer an extensive bourbon/whiskey menu. The service was a bit slow an inattentive. If in this area of town it is certainly worth dining here.

We both had the turkey sandwich with fries. The sandwich was $12.50 which we thought was over priced. The bread was slightly burned. The waitress asked us if we wanted chips or fries with it. We both chose fries only to discover later that they were extra on our bill! We didn't say anything but feel the waitress should have said at the time, there would be an up charge for the fries.

Joined some business associates at Local Three for a lunch meeting and it is indeed a hidden gem...tucked away in a mixed use development, with hand crafted furniture and an new American menu, the food we ordered was delicious and the desserts were divine (we tried all three!). Interesting menu and will definitely be back to try more dishes. We had the Truffle Parmesan Popcorn, I had the Iceberg Wedge Salad, and we couldn't resist trying all three desserts!

farm to table concepts fresh non traditional items. brunch on Sunday is unique experience and worth a visit

My cousin took me here as I was in town visiting. It was an early dinner for us. We had a glass of wine and some veggies to share. The waitress was attentive and helpful. We opted to share the cauliflower and brussels sprout dishes. They were equally delicious and the waitress was very accommodating in our choice to share. We sat across from each other at the bar and had a very enjoyable evening. When we left, the place was crowded. Glad we got there early. The bar was long, made of wood and had a live edge, very unique. It was an interesting place with lots of visually stimulating items. Would certainly go back.

I had such an enjoyable time here. From cocktails, beer, whiskey selection, appetizers! Just everything. Ambiance is great! Service was wonderful! Had the asian pork with cabbage as an appetizer and it was super tasty. The mussels were ok would have tried something else. I had a lavender tiki bitter rum based cocktail. Hungry man, pan fried pork chop and diver scallops! Just all delicious. Would enjoy going again and probably again. Love, love, love!

I recently went to Local Three for brunch to catch up with an old friend I hadn't seen in a year. Definitely a great choice. The place is small but charming. I made a reservation through Open Table so there was no wait, although the place was hopping! Great friendly servers, great mimosas, and great atmosphere. The food itself is served in the kitchen. You walk through their kitchen and pick from numerous delicious choices. They had a truffled egg salad on very thin crackers that was amazing. Everything I picked was delicious. You have to try their potatoes and quiche! My friend and I were there talking (and drinking) for hours and no one tried to rush us out. I will definitely bring out of towners here for the brunch. I can't vouch for their lunch or dinner (yet) but I intend to find out. A definite go to place.

So disappointing. Not everything listed on the menu was available. What was good: bacon, buttermilk biscuits, peach marmalade, smoked salmon toast, grits (but shrimp was overcooked). What was fair: chia seed pudding, Bloody Mary, Bellini, pastries. What was bad: scrambled eggs, brisket quesadilla, two different songs were playing- one in the restaurant and one in the kitchen and they conflicted with each other. For the price we expected much better. The experience was like an iHop. Very sad for the brand.

I’ve lived in Boston for the past three years but rarely venture over to Harvard Sq and try new places. This food tour was the perfect opportunity for me and my friends to see so many new restaurants all in an afternoon and are already planning our trip back! Highly recommend for locals and visitors to enjoy an afternoon!! Also it wasn’t great weather but our tour guide kept us moving and made sure we were comfortable by making frequent stops inside to stay dry.

I was here to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday night. I picked this restaurant primarily because of its reputation for its impressive list of Bourbons. It totally hit the mark on this count. Bourbons drinkers should love this place, I know I did. I think they told me that they have 167 bourbons or something like that. All I know is that they had just about anything bourbon one could want. You may not find your $300 glass of 23 year old Pappy Family Reserve, but you will find an excellent selection at a very fair price. Their bourbon selection is on their website, so check it out. But lets move to the food. It is just amazing - all of it. There were seven of us so we had a little bit of everything. The common theme for me was their amazing combination and creation of flavors. You just don't see a lot of smoked beets, but at Local 3 that is just typical of what they will decorate a plate with. Try the Pastrami Spiced Spanish Octopus. You are not even sure what it is until the very knowledgeable wait staff explains in detail what it is and how it is prepared. I don't even like brussel sprouts but the Crispy Brussels Sprouts were slices of heaven. Rabbit is something I wouldn't order either, but the the sauces and flavors were so finely prepared that the meat could have been anything and still tasted divine. I had the monkfish - if you haven't ever had it, try it. I think it has been refered to as the poor mans lobster. It looks like lobster and has a similar consistency as lobster. Taste is not the same but it is a really great fish particularly when you surround it with Trumpet Mushrooms and Spinach, Saltimbocca. The gnocchi were just ok. Service was excellent.Gnick did a great job. Wine list is good, desserts as good as everything else. This is a very vibrant restaurant. My reservation was at 6:30pm. I wouldn't bring children. There is nothing there for them. You must be patient when trying to find Local 3. It is inside a building with no really visible out door signage. There is no other retail business around it so it is a little challenging to find. But be persistent. You will find it and you will enjoy it. My complements to the chefs and owners. I will be back.

Its a 20 min drive from Downtown but well worth it . If you want something with amazing flavours this is a place to visit . For a giggle we started with Popcorn flavoured with truffle oil. The was the wakeup call as each dish came out they all had interesting floors and twists . The venue itself is wonderful for table of 6 or larger . It is a fun place with a group , good food and good wines

I knew this was a set menu that covered all-you-could-eat, so I was surprised when we were seated and there was no buffet. L3 does it better than buffet! Our waiter took drink orders and then directed us to a marked path that took us directly into the kitchen to serve ourselves from many many options. Flatbreads, desserts, pastries, eggs, potatoes, shrimp/grits, on and on. Each dish was set up in the prep area and was a small dish. As customers served from that small dish the chefs were making another small dish of the same thing to replace it as it emptied. They only make what is needed, and it is always fresh and at the correct temperature. We could return to the kitchen as many times as we wanted and another visit always found fresh dishes. Service was very good and seemed to be by a team - no trying to find your original server if you had a questions. There was always staff close by who were willing to help. The space is beautiful - comfortable and cozy. Getting into the restaurant can be a challenge as it is at the back of a very large complex. Do yourself a favor and check the L3 website. They must have had feedback on their location because there are exact driving instructions to parking and to restaurant, AND there is a video where you can follow a car into the garage, follow a customer into the elevator, and then down hallways to the restaurant. During the week L3 validates your parking ticket for 2 hours. Saturday and Sunday the garage gives you a ticket upon entering, but parking is free and when you get to the exit the gate/arm automatically opens for your car. I don't know why it has taken me so long to visit Local Three. I am already planning a return for dinner soon.

Outstanding pork chop entrée although it was very difficult choice to select the chop over the short rib stroganoff. I've got to try that next time. Incredible bourbon selection of probably 100+ choices. Comfortable look and feel to the restaurant with a friendly atmosphere bar as well.

Fantastic brunch. Fine dining breakfast brunch little bites. Highest quality food. Parking is free for 2 hours in parking deck. Make reservations for table. Recommended

I'll agree with other reviews in that this place is not easy to find. Tucked away in a mixed use complex (office buildings and condos), it's even kind of hard to park, walk and find this place. The decor is warm and stylish. Our server was very nice and attentive. Now to the food...I didn't like it. At all. My trout was so salty I didn't finish it. My soup was was salty too. Maybe my taste buds were off... Prices were on the expensive side and they charged for bread. (Really? Shame, shame)

Went for lunch after this place was recommended after a meeting. Hidden (literally) gem with a trendy vibe and creative, delicious food. Wait staff recommended my dish and it was spot on.

Not a stellar experience. Our server was not on her game. We ordered a bottle of rose - 20 mins later we are still waiting ... turns out they didn’t have a bottle chilled but she never told us. My dish of chicken schnitzel was uninspired. My partner and our friend had a tuna tartar they said was very good. The big letdown was the desert we shared - peach shortcake. The peach was underripe and no poaching - thus hard and tasteless. The cake was dry. There was a decent custard but the whole thing felt sloppy. Lighting was harsh - felt like we were in a store window display and very noisy. Won't visit again.

We were looking for a special way to celebrate our niece's "reboot 21st" birthday (that Covid foiled) and found it perfectly at Local Three's Chef's Table. It's the perfect blend of tastings and engagement with the team of Chefs and uninterrupted time with your party. The table is in the kitchen but tucked away so you can have all the benefits of a quiet night with friends/family. The food is spectacular and filled with surprises. The wines perfectly paired and many were new to us. Can't wait to do it again - for MY birthday!!

We have had brunch here at least 3 times and it was delicious each time. No wavering of quality or service. We've been as a couple and with a group and both were great experiences. All the dishes are prepared in front of you as you go through the line. They have some unique twists on brunch favorites.

I think the value for regular meals is fine, but brunch is pretty expensive for a small variety at the brunch buffet (wish there were more meat alternatives to pork). This is the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5, because I love brunch. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. The trout is amazing and my boyfriend loves their burger. I think I have tried about every appetizer and have enjoyed them all. Try this place out!

We had a lot of different sides which were excellent, which was combined with great service. We asked them to combine some selections from the charcuterie and cheese platter, which was very good. The brussel sprouts and lentil sides were also delicious.

Looking for one of Atlanta's best brunches? We discovered Local Three several years ago. This brunch is unlike any other in town. Everything is made and served in their kitchen. You stroll from dish to dish and select what you like from over 24 delicious selections of eggs, pancakes, desserts, bisquits, bacon, short ribs, and more. You can go back as many times as you desire to keep yourself from "starving". Prices are very competitive considering what you get for the money. Quality is exceptional, as well as a highly trained wait staff at your beck and call.

This used to be my favorite restaurant to take guests and out-of-towners so I hope my food experience was an anomaly rather than the norm. First, our server Christy was buried but did an exemplary job of handling everything all night. The food: The beet salad was much too salty. The asparagus appetizer was, well, the largest asparagus I've seen in a while but uneventful. The Ahi Poke was uneventful and even somewhat bland. The charcuterie board may have saved the evening as we had several items to eat between bites. The Tybee shrimp and mussel dish was okay.

Wonderful brunch buffet!!! Amazingly good! Basically all I can says is it is a must try, you will not be disappointed!

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! From the yummy drink suggestions to the amazing desserts, everything we ordered was phenomenal. They accomodated special requests without hesitation. Great servers, especially Nick!

We went on a Sunday morning at 10 when they first open. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Te twist is the buffet line is set up in the kitchen, but has plenty of options and amounts

I have been here twice and both times the food was amazing! The menu changes often, but everything we had was amazing. The beet salad we had was scrumptious.

We live 2 blocks from this place and like the owners and the people behind the concept. That said the menu and the concept is tough for people our age...we are in our 60's and do not like communal dining...and sharing the experience with every tattoo ever created...and why do I have to enthusiastically cheer every tattoo??? I do not even remember the food....but I remember every tattooed server and their tattoos.

The barkeep was clearly in his game managing the bar tables and the bar itself. He was very particular mixing up craft cocktails- no short cuts. The food was decent but not unusual- I had the BBQ lamb shoulder which was “saucier” than I expected. The peppers in cheese sauce was an interesting appetizer.

Excellent dinner! Just had an amazing experience! Food, drinks and service were all amazing! Great atmosphere too! Highly recommend! Would definitely come back!

This place is totally hidden inside an office building. It's even hard to find the front door (you have to go through the office lobby). But there's a reason why it's packed - the service is great, the food is delicious, and the drink list is expansive. I had the short ribs, which was delicious and my adventurous friend got the squid ink spaghetti and said it was delicious.

We were going out to celebrate a birthday so decided to try Local Three. Overall, the restaurant provides a nice and casual atmosphere. The food is good and the service is excellent. We had ordered a couple of appetizers when we sat down and the appetizers are pretty big portions. We ordered the rolls - which were good - the brussel sprouts - which were decent - and the truffle popcorn - again decent. For the main we ordered the duck gnochi, the short ribs and the mushroom toast. The mushroom toast was literally toast with a slice of cheese and mushrooms on top - it was ok. The duck ragu was good and a decent size for an appetizer portion. The short ribs were good and the sides were very good. We also ordered dessert - hot chocolate and chocolate ganache cake. The cake was good while the hot chocolate was decent - it was thicker than regular hot chocolate but lighter than mexican chocolate. The service was excellent though. Great service and good food in a nice casual atmosphere.

This restaurant used to have a wonderful brunch buffet. We came back hoping that their non-buffet brunch would be good. We were sorely disappointed. We were a group of eight, and of the eight not a single person enjoyed the meal. Our server was excellent, it’s just such a pity about the food.

Local Three is an experience you will not want to miss!! Make sure you go hungry and are ready to be welcomed by everyone from the hostess, to your waiter/waitress, to the chefs. You can't possibly try everything in one visit, so make sure you pace yourself and go back for seconds or thirds throughout the month. This was my first time in Atlanta, and it was the only thing to do on our list with what little time I had in the city. Local Three is truly a destination you should travel from anywhere to see. Some special thank yous; we ate at the chef's table - INSIDE THE KITCHEN - and it was a memory I will cherish for a lifetime. To Chef Angela, for making such amazing personal dishes - YOU are an artist in the kitchen. This was the most amazing experience, and it was so inspiring to literally watch you work, present your dishes, and see your dreams come true; Thank you. To our amazing waitress Katie, you are a food extraordinaire and made the whole experience a wild ride. You paired our drinks so well with our food, you made sure we were welcomed and honestly treated like royalty - new forks for every dish ... is this how the rich live? You were fun, caring, and it was so exciting to have as our hostess for the night; Thank You! To the rest of the Local Three team! Every single team member we met was over the top outstanding - you were all a really cool bunch to be around and it was an honor to experience the family that is inside your kitchen. Jimmy the GM, you perfectly put into words how the Local Three team operates the philosophy of the founders - I wish we could have met them! I won't spoil it for the newcomers ... make sure you ask the team when you go there what three legs the restaurant stands on. One of our servers, Patrick, thanks for the southern hospitality! To our assistant server, Nacho, the water was amazing, I'll be back for more! Sous Chef BJ, thank you for the coolest house-made pasta ever! Chef Carter, thanks for the flame grilled steak - best steak I've ever had. Chef Hannah, thank you for the coconut rice - yum! Pastry Chef Kareem, watching you make that caramel popcorn from start to finish was a real treat! This team is what brings the whole operation to life inside and outside of the kitchen. Everything we ate would literally melt-in-your-mouth. The salad was amazing. The grits were out of this world - I've always avoided grits because it looks like mush in a box, so I'm glad this was my first time - really set the bar high! Brussels sprouts were crisped perfectly and really wowed me with the cider reduction. You could tell the pasta was house-made, and it was to-die-for, make sure you leave room for the garlic bread! I've never had such amazing steak that was both tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection - and paired with the best cheesy mashed potatoes you'll ever experience. The caramel popcorn was really simple and sweet - and not too gummy like the caramel popcorn you buy at Walmart - it was crispy and savory like a nice crust. And finally, the tasty wine and cheese to top it off - cheddar cheese smoked with espresso - yes, please. Go to Local Three in Atlanta, Georgia - travel from wherever you live, and just go. You will not be disappointed, and you will not want to leave.

I've been here numerous times and it's one of my go-to restaurants in Atlanta. The menu is inventive, service consistently good to great, and it's a lovely atmosphere. Portions are good though it isn't cheap, but for the level of food it's still good value to me. It can be tricky to find as it's in a tucked away spot which looks more like apartments/offices than where you'd find a restaurant.

I was in town on a business trip and we took an Uber and driver had a tough time figuring out where to drop us off. We saw a sign and jumped out and started looking. The restaurant is hidden inside an office building, with hard to see signage. You have to go through the lobby of an office building then down a long hall, and finally then we found it, I'm so glad we did, because it was once of the best meals I have had in a long time. We had booked a table on OpenTable, the hostess welcomed us with a warm greeting and showed us right to our table. The restaurant was rather busy for a Wednesday night, although I am not from the area, so maybe this is typical. Our server for the evening was great, he knew the menu inside and out, and informed us that it changes regularly. He walked us through the menu and gave is a number of suggestions, some of which we followed and some of which we didn't. The three of us started with the Truffle Popcorn, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, and a special starter for the day which was Foie Gras Torchon. The popcorn and Brussel Sprouts were both great, the Foie Gras was an interesting presentation, which I didn't love because it had a heavy smoked flavour that I personally just don't like, others at the table enjoyed it. For mains two of us ordered the braised short ribs and the other ordered the stuffed quail. The short rib had great flavour and was very tender, mine had quite a bit of fat with it, but my colleague's portion did not seem to have as much. There was still plenty of meat on mine and with all the delicious sides paired with it, I couldn't eat all of it. We finished the meal by sharing a small plate lemon meringue tart. It was just enough to split at the end of the meal. The lemon tart was good if I had to find a fault with it I would say it had a little too much meringue. Overall it was a very good meal, if I were to be back in the area, I would certainly visit again.

I've been to Local 3 a dozen times and have always enjoyed the best popcorn in Atlanta, local craft beer selections, creative sandwiches, and seafood and beef entrees. Today at lunch the popcorn was the usual best I've ever had, but the Gulf Coast Shrimp Salad was completely bland/tasteless. The combination of cilantro, glass noodles, carrots and peanuts was uninspiring at best, and frankly I had no interest in it after 5 bites. Even the shrimp had no taste. Must have been a bad day at the restaurant because guy sitting next to me had his scallops returned. Waiter didn't seem to care about reaction from patrons which is disappointing. Expensive lunch which is fine when the food is good, but not when it is so bad you have no interest in another bite.

Brunch. The food was Great we will be going back for dinner soon. The staff was. Wonderful Know one have a bad Attitude . Everyone was happy to be at work or to server Other nice . Job well done staff working together .

I had found this place on Yelp and saw the awesome reviews. I had tried to get in several times, but was unable to get a reservation on 3 prior attempts. So, I had to go a week out and get a reservation. It was so worth the wait! Parking and finding the place is a bit trying due to the setup of the buidling. But, we found it and were seated promptly at our reservation time. We started with the cheese tray and it was great. Then, I had the Ginger Crusted North Atlantic Cod and it was great. Others in our party had "The Hungry Man", which was a huge portion and good, Salisbury Steak and our favorite, the Pork Shoulder. Everything was amazing! The server told us that the Sunday brunch is the best and to try it out, which I plan on doing it. It was a bit price, but totally worth it. The place is very unique and the entire experience was amazing.

Always great. Been here hundreds of times, keep coming back for more. Wonderful staff. Great selection of whiskey. The Roasted Quail was special.

IT is a great place with unique tastes and foods that make never fail to make the mouth water. Having so many different kinds of food is great, and it is very interesting the combination of tastes they put together!

We had a 3 generational supper there recently and all enjoyed it immensely. Very attentive server - PJ. Did not hover but took good care of us. Good food. Great selection of spirits & nice wine list. Will go again. I hardly ever give 5 stars so 4 is strong recommendation from this reviewer.

Farm to table food. Great bourbon selection as well as other spirits and wine. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent steaks, fish, and other dishes. Some patrons find the food too different but still eat everything on their plate when it is served.

We had a lovely dinner hosted by the fabulous Jason. The Iberico ham, pasta with venison ragu and their specialty burger were all fabulous. The atmosphere is both rustic and sophisticated - warm and welcoming. The service was perfection. Thank you for a wonderful evening and we will be sure to return.

Sunday Brunch is a happening thing. Get your food from the kitchen. Return as often as you want. All delicious but best of show are pancakes with lime, shrimp with grits and pork shoulder. Whimsical ambiance and fun staff. Rated #6 "Best Bourbon Bar in the US". For even more fun, ask for owner/chef Chris Hall to chat you up on college football. Two hours of fun.

Group party of 30 for the end of a university film course. We had our own nice room on the elevator side of the kitchen. It was the first time there for some of us. Room was very noisy with people talking. With drinks the meal took more than three hours. Interesting menu resulting in some unique servings of tasty food. See pictures. Service was detailed and highly professional. They made us feel very welcome and appreciated. Parking was in the adjacent garage, but they validated our ticket resulting in free parking. The main dining room and bar on the other side of the kitchen was very attractive. Kudos to owner, managers and servers for a unique dining and party experience in this Bourbon speciality restaurant.

My husband and I visited Local 3 for dinner on Friday night. I made a reservation beforehand so we were seated quickly. Unfortunately, that was the only thing that happened quickly that evening. After we were seated, it took about 10 minutes for us to get water. We ordered salads along with ordering our food. I had the roasted beet and goat cheese salad and my husband chose the apple bacon wedge. Both salads were delicious and highly recommended but they took longer than I thought was normal, and I was hoping the entrees would be out shortly after. Our entrees (I ordered the iron skillet crab gratin and my husband ordered the McDowell) didn't come out until about 8:30pm. Our reservation was at 7pm, We arrived at 7 and were seated once we arrived. Needless to say, we spent a lot of time looking around at other people eating. Once our food finally arrived, the crab gratin was dry and my husband's fries were rubbery. They assured me this wasn't the case, but I feel like our food had been left under a heat lamp for too long. I had never had the crab gratin before so I'm not sure exactly how it was supposed to be but what I got was a skillet full of dry crab topped with breadcrumbs. Hopefully whatever was going on that night has been addressed...it seemed like we weren't the only people waiting on food. This wasn't our first visit to L3 but I'm hesitant to try it again even though I'd still like to try the crab gratin fixed properly. When I complained to the manager about the food and service, they apologized and asked if I wanted another dish but it was already late and I was ready to leave.

This is a restaurant in an office building so it is a little difficult to get to but it is worth it - especially for the Sunday brunch buffet. The food is fantastic and the servers were very nice and attentive.

cant speak highly enough ... as we sat down, our waiter asked if we wanted our favorites drinks ... if not looking for a full blown dinner .. get the burger .. there is only one on the menu .. but is enough .. really good Service at this establishment has never been anything but stellar

Well this was not my normal dinner style. We donated to a local charity and as a result we ended up with this dinner. I had no idea of what to expect. We checked in with the hostess and she led us on a long meandering path through the kitchen to a secluded table with a view of the kitchen and prep area. This was the beginning of a fantastic 8 course meal. Personal service, great food. Crunchy salad, calamari ( not fried!), red fish, monk fish, hanger steak, excellent wine pairings. My advice, go ahead and splurge, but pace yourself and use Urber.

Lovely brunch menu that changes weekly; personal service; killer mimosa's; outdoor seating; large bar Brunch is served by walking through the kitchen to make your selections while the food is being prepared so it is hot and fresh. Restaurant is a little difficult to locate once you have parked. Area where staff discards uneaten food including an open garbage can is visible while you are in the serving line; a portable screen would solve that.

If you happen to have a reason to be in the Bldg, or just nearby, we’ll worth the visit. Try the roasted Brussels sprouts. Great food, excellent service and priced right.

Dinner was absolutely delicious and the service was stellar!! Armand was our server and he made our dinner experience so special, we felt like we were the only guests in the restaurant. The cheese board and pork chops were PHENOMENAL!!! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a delicious meal with quiet place to enjoy time with friends and family!

We had a 9:00 reservation and arrived to a half full restaurant. After being seated we noticed that our table was wobbly and asked our server if they could fix the wobble and were assured yes, right away. We waited and waited, finally server returned and we ordered a couple glasses of wine. Waited 10 minutes, no server no wine. I went to the bar and asked about our wine. The bar tender immediately brought the wine that was waiting to be served to our table. After 20 minutes we had wine, a wobbly table and no dinner order. The server returned, we ordered dinner and asked if the table could be fixed, yes right away.....nothing. I asked a bus boy if he could fix the table, and he returned with two wedges, didn't work. We moved tables.....waited for dinner. Went to bar and ordered two more glasses of wine. Bartender delivered, no server....food finally arrived, Pork was OK, Brussels Sprouts and Octopus were OK. OK Food, slow and uninterested service

I had my cousin's baby shower at Local Three last month. Alice Price helped me get it all set up and was so helpful with all of my questions. We used the Bushwood room and it was perfect. The room is not connected to the restaurant. It has the feeling of having your own private event space. You never have to go into the restaurant at all. The restrooms are outside of the restaurant so it is perfect for any gathering you have. I decided to go with the Brunch and it was EXCELLENT! The options were great and the food was very good. Katie was our server and took care of us for the event. She remembered everyone's name...a major plus! She was very attentive and answered every question or concern with a smile. The only downside (and this is a stretch) was finding the restaurant itself. It's in an office building and if you have never been, it can be a little tricky. I was fortunate enough to have my best friend go ahead of time and she sent all the directions ahead of time that I can send to all the guests. Overall I had a great experience with great food and service. I highly recommend Local Three for any events or parties!

Fun night at local three. First visit. Easy parking with great vibe and decor. Our server was over the hill, but he made it though the gambit. halibut.

Surprisingly a hidden gem in Atlanta. I love the southern comfort feeling with a classic ambiance. I took my family for Father’s Day brunch and all the food had a different spin on it. All the food was good, but in stead of your typical buffet, you went through the actual kitchen to get your food. It was pretty cool, clean, and good. They specialize in bourbons, however my husband had a rather strong mimosa. The prices are very reasonable. We would definitely go again.

Maybe hey want to keep this restaurant under wraps because it is difficult to find. There is not sign on Northside Pkwy NW & even when you get close by Bucca apartments, I still had trouble finding the actual restaurant. I first parked in the street but there was a sign that said only 1 hour or be towed. I tried to find the restaurant to ask them where should I park & a couple that just happened to be going there to eat, guided me to the restaurant. It is down a hallway with small non contrasting signage. It is inside an office building, Now for the food. I made a mistake & had the hamburger. My party & I had the cheese tasting platter and then we planned to get dessert at the end, I thought getting the burger would be a good idea since we were eating so many other items. My friends got a beef dish which came in cafeteria tray. It was cute & they got a full meal, included some delicious yeast rolls & a brownie. I got way too many fries which wasn't listed on the menu because if it had, I would have substituted for Mac n cheese or cole slaw. I didn't get to choose anything else, but, I loved the cheese platter with honey & jam & my apple crisp dessert was divine! I would go Back here, especially now that I know where it is. The food was very fresh & my dining companions also split a wonderful salad.

It is an odd and awkward (but safe) location. But once you find it, it is so good. Not pretentious and very casual atmosphere (don't have to dress up here), the food is eclectic and varied. Loved the crispy brussel sprouts (yum!) and the Atlantic cod which tasted like a $50 dish (but only $25). The mix of flavors was so unique. I will go back when I'm in ATL. (Allow extra time, if going for the first time, to find the place. You will get lost.)

I had been to Local Three for dinner and was very impressed, but the staff has recommended the brunch. I made a reservation about a week in advance for the Sunday brunch. It was the most incredible brunch buffet I have ever experienced. The service was spot on, as before. But, the selection of the buffet and exception taste of each and every dish was incredible. We each went back for a second plate because there were so many good items to choose from. The buffet costs $24, which includes a beverage such as a soft drink. It was worth every penny. I plan on going back very soon!

All I can say is awesome! The swordfish dish is delicious and definitely worth a try and get the Franklin Mint to drink it is absolutely worth it! The staff is great as well very welcoming. Our waiter was amazing on explaining all of the dishes to us. A+ guys..

A hidden gem tucked away along the west paces thoroughfare. Well stocked Bourbon bar if you don't need dinner. Had the meat butter, springer chicken, and swordfish and it was all tasty and great. You can tell the chef takes time to make sure each dish is well prepared, not hasty. Nice outside seating and overall great comfortable place.

excellent dinner. all good .. fantastic service .. totally recommend. We ate some great oysters, and some great burgers. To finish a spectacular dessert ...

This restaurant is not easy to find. The entrance is inside a high rise building, one of several in a complex. The search was worth it. The decor is very nice and the service was great. Brunch is an all you can eat buffet in their kitchen. The choices were somewhat limited, but everything was hot and delicious. When I called to make my reservation, I wish they had told me they validate for free parking in the parking garage. $25/person seemed a little high for what we got.

First off, I tried to eat my weight in brunch food, because it was that good. So, the second thing to know is that this was my first time there as I was visiting the area. In being a visitor to the area, it is good to know you cannot order alcohol before 12:30 on Sunday, so if you plan on going to Local Three for brunch and you want alcohol with your meal, you should definitely go as close to 12:30. However, I will say we got there at 11:30, and because of the meal, we ate enough to stay there long enough to drink as well. Also, you will want reservations. I believe their slogan is something close to saying eat well and stay long or something like that. Now on to the meal part. On Sundays, there is only a brunch buffet. There are about 15 or so different things you can get for food, and they are divided into breakfast, lunch, and desserts. I believe the food changes based on what is available, so what I had may be different the next time. I loved the blueberry biscuits, lemon pancakes, mac and cheese, and a chicken dish that had potatoes and Brussel sprouts with it. Again, I tried to eat my weight in food. One of the coolest parts is that you get to go into the kitchen to get your food, so you get to see the kitchen and watch the staff make the food. They seem to have a great time. All in all, when I return to the area, I will definitely ask to go there again. It definitely made a big impression on me.

Food is always excellent, ambiance is friendly and welcoming, great selections from the bar. Most importantly, the service is beyond excellent. The entire staff is focused on the customer's experience. Having been here several times, this standard of service is in their culture. We look forward to our next visit.

Friends made reservations for Easter brunch - they forbid us from checking out what Local Three is all about so it would be a surprise. What a treat! The range of food was vast, all tasty (some dishes especially tasty and... wonderful! we could go back for seconds) and all displayed in nifty, stylish ways. Wandering back to the kitchen area was fun, servers attentive and personable, and the relaxed atmosphere a pleasure. Definitely a 'destination' brunch spot considering the variety of dishes, the cost, and the time needed to do justice to the food and serving style. Families with young children jostled elbows with elderly couples chatting over mimosas. Elegant couples, casual groups of friends, it was a cross section of age and fashion in Atlanta. Looking forward to another visit to Atlanta so we can stop in to Local Three some evening and order off the menu. Creative and tempting. Yum.

Delicious Sunday Brunch! Glad we watched the video on how to find the restaurant. It is tucked away so it is smart of their website to post a video. Had their blueberry hot tea - awesome. The mango panna cotta was smooth and luscious. The sweet potato soup tasty. The soft scrambled eggs were on point. Loved the truffle and herb ricotta on lavosh. The french toast and pancakes were pretty good. The mac and cheese was excellent -- make sure to hunt for the cheesy bites. My helping was only ok due to lack of cheese. Loved the shrimp and grits with truffle sauce! Was awesome! The turkey cheese sandwich was also surprisingly delicious. All in all, a delicious experience for a buffet brunch. Highly recommend!

A group of whiskey aficionados selected this venue for our holiday dinner, as it advertises a spectacular whiskey selection. We were not disappointed! Not only an amazing selection, but the food was really well done (not "bar food" by any stretch). The service was excellent, and I've been back for dinner and lunch in the weeks since. Their menu highlights ingredients sourced locally (from Georgia where possible), and changes regularly based on seasonal availability. Their whiskey selection is really amazing, including many hard-to-find/limited edition pours (but you should be prepared to pay accordingly!)

Loved the place! Everything was so coordinated - the food, the drinks, the decor and the service. We were a large group - and enjoyed the service throughout. They have a good alcohol selection - though I stuck to and enjoyed my dirty martini. Cuisine is quite global, I found the starters very good. The entree - a duck prepared in a Chinese sauce was one of the best tasting one I have had so far.

Local Three was highly recommended by an intern where I work so when we visited Atlanta we decided to try it for dinner. Actually getting to the restaurant is a little off-putting. You park in a huge parking garage, go to a certain floor, then take the elevator to a small corridor which leads you to the place. It was worse getting back to the car after a few cocktails but absolutely doable. First i have to say that everything we ate was delicious! From the boiled peanuts (specific to the south) to the buttery yeast rolls and the rich and unctuous mac & cheese every dished we sampled was perfectly cooked. The Maine Scallops were tender with none of the grit you sometimes find in them; General Tso's Rabbit was super tender as was the Cervena Venison. Several unique takes on game. For dessert only one of us had enough room and we tried the S'mores - creamy, crunchy and full of campfire flavors. Cocktails were unique, strong and reasonably priced. A great new place - glad we tried it!

Saturday Brunch was okay but but not what I expected. They only had pork bacon no sausage or any other separate meat options.

Was able to get a last-minute table on a Friday night. Good drink selection. Unique beer list and the Mezcal cocktail was delicious. Standout was the Buffalo Cauliflower.

Great food, super service and an imaginative menu. It is clear that their aim is to use local ingredients of high quality with a huge choice of hard to choose form menu items. They have the largest bourbon list I have ever scene and a wine lits that has lots of reasonable priced wine

The location was very interesting and the inside of the restaurant was very well designed. The bar is worth checking out as it is very inviting and well designed....there is something about tall ceilings. My wife's risotto was, in her own words, "almost better than her's". My dish was served luke-warm. The dessert with the Nutella sauce would have been wonderful, if not for the chocolate spongy cake that just did not live up to the raving review of a friend. That said, the wine was a resounding success; the list of bourbons on offer was very long and in itself a reason to visit again. At the end of dinner we were given a tour of the kitchen, including its history...highly recommended! I would return, if only to give it another chance and to sit at the bar and have a good drink....bourbon!

Haven’t been there in years and definitely won’t go back. Menu is not my cup of tea but would have been fine other than it took forever. They are clearly more focused on warhorse - the attached “private” club. We saw constant delivery of food pass by the restaurant and through the door to warhorse while we just sat there with no acknowledgement or explanation by server. Food was mediocre at best. Much prefer Roshambo for everything - ambiance, food and focus on customers.

Last week, I was in Atlanta visiting my son, his wife and our 4-month-old granddaughter. Our son was having to work late during the week so Thursday night I opted to take both my daughter-n-law and grandbaby out in order to try a restaurant that seemed to have good reviews. It seems the owners have a signature restaurant up in Smyrna that helped to forge their reputation. And yes we were having to take the baby. The baby is great eating out and we've had nothing but success. She may want out of her car seat if she wakes but is quite content being held as she looks around taking it all in. If she were a fussy baby, a baby to cry and pitch fits, trust me, we wouldn't bother eating out. This Thursday night we made a reservation for three as we count a car seat as taking up space. We made the reservation for 7 PM Having grown up in Atlanta I had a vague idea as to where the restaurant was located but the place actually is in an office building off the main road, a building behind another building from the street. Very difficult to locate. If you didn't know where you were going there is nothing on the road indicating a restaurant is to be found somewhere in the maze of buildings. We had to go to a particular parking garage, a garage mind you that only accepts credit cards but the restaurant does validate your ticket--- however, you don't know that unless you stop to read the sign on the ticket machine. Signage is of the homemade variety and thankfully things were not busy so we could drive slow enough looking as we scouted out our directions. Once in the parking garage, a sign instructed restaurant patrons to park on the second floor, the signs next told us to take an elevator down to the ground floor of the building and to then again, follow the signs. In, down, out and passing by the lobby information desk we see a sign instructing us to open a door. The door leads down a narrow darkly lit entry hallway to a hostess stand. Two fellows were in front of us, who did not have reservations and had arrived asking if they could be seated. The two gals behind the desk seemed overwhelmed. The place was not full so why the overwhelmedness I wasn't certain. We stood there a good 8 minutes, with nary a look our way acknowledging that we were standing there holding a very heavy car seat with a baby in our arms. And we actually were the ones with the reservations! Rather than asking the gentlemen to hold on a sec while they checked table availability in order to actually check in on the guests right behind the two fellows, guests who actually had the reservations...we just awkwardly stood there...and stood there and stood there. I verbalized to my daughter-n-law that perhaps we should just leave. The ladies asked the gentlemen would they mind sitting at a 6 top table of which the guys were fine with but had I been the hostess, I think I would have held off seating the guys at a 6 top until something more reasonable opened up...but that's just because once upon a time, I was a hostess way back in the day during college. Finally, the ladies asked us how many in our party when I then offered my name and the fact we actually had reservations...a good 10 minutes had now passed upon our arrival. One of the gals who seemed nonplused to take us to our table lead us to a 4 top and began to walk away when we asked for a car seat sling. Begrudgingly she brought the sling and again made no real attempt to help us seat it up. As both of our hands were full, I asked if she wouldn't mind helping me set it up and put the car seat down on it when she actually said something rather smart to my daughter-n- about how she was propping up the car seat while waiting for the sling to be in place. I again voiced that perhaps we should leave as it didn't seem as if we were welcomed. Another good 10 minutes passed before a waitress even came by to introduce herself and take a drink order. I got the impression they were terribly understaffed and that most tables around us did not have their food. Again, I thought we should get out. Finally, drinks arrived and the menu was explained. This is a bit of a farm to table type of place for the uber trendy. The food, whereas seems to be fresh and seasonal, sadly it all had some weird vibe twist...sea urchin gonads is not my idea of appetizing...although it was labeled as uni. Nothing seemed appealing so we went with the cornmeal battered okra pods...where the cornmeal was not a fine grind and thus was almost too hard and crunchy to eat. My potato gnocchi was almost burnt and had an odd off flavor. My daughter-n-law, however, did enjoy her hamburger and fries. Thus my reason for rating poor verses plain terrible. We were never asked if we'd like another drink. So we happily asked for the check in order just to get out. This place was a far cry from being welcoming, let alone a place offering good, seasonal and flavorful food. I had hoped that with all the trouble of having to find the place the end result would be a reward rather than a miserable night out. Atlanta has so many more delightful places to offer... I would keep looking if I were you!

We have been to brunch here quite a few times, and have even brought out-of-town friends and family on a few occasions. We love it, but cannot do brunch here more than once a month due to the sheer amount of food we consume. Brunch consists of several different items of "normal" breakfast food and then some "concoctions" (that's what we call them) where the chefs invent some combination of food and serve it. Some of it works, some doesn't, but it is always nice to try different things. A word of advice: make a reservation as it is a gamble coming here without one. Sometimes it is packed, sometimes it isn't. We will continue coming for more.

Arrived here for brunch on a sunday morning and definitely make sure you have reservations. There is basically a set menu for brunch that includes breakfast as well as lunch items. It is a buffett style. You walk through the kitchen and pick the items you want as you watch the chefs create the dishes. A fun unique brunch experience! For $23, its a steal!

I recently visited Local Three for a party for a friend. The set up was perfect with multiple bar space inside and on the patio. The ambiance was great and there is plenty of room for 300 plus guests (who could imagine?) The location is a little tucked away if you're not familiar with the Buckhead Area of Howell Mill but very convenient to those in Vinings, Buckhead or the Westside. I had my first meal there this week. I had a meeting in the area so we decided to meet for lunch over there. The set up is very nice for regular restaurant hours. The service was superb and the Burgers are AMAZING. They go the extra mile and everything even tasted all natural. Prices weren't bad all things considered and it wasn't too crowded making it a perfect place to be for a working lunch.

We had the absolute best brunch here this past Sunday. We sat at the bar and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere was really awesome and cozy. You literally walk through the kitchen to plate your own buffet brunch. And the mimosas were perfect! Would absolutely go back!

One of our favorite restaurants. The menu is always changing and is always amazing. Great service as well. The Georgia trout is a favorite.

Local Three is an uncompromising vision of three chefs, Chris Hall, Todd Mussman and Ryan Turner, focused on local food prepared well, conviviality, and accommodating the diner. It works. The restaurant is located on Northside Parkway just south of the intersection of West Paces Ferry Road in the Piazza at Paces building. Surrounded by gardens and fountains, Local Three has a beautiful outdoor dining venue, a great bar and attentive staff. The food is seasonal, served simply with great flavor. House smoked Salmon is suburb. Gulf white shrimp in polenta with kale, salami and white wine was wonderfully paired with their creamy scrambled eggs. Chilled English pea soup with chili crema and basil oil was a hit. A strawberry panna cotta was my granddaughter’s favorite desert! Brunch was served in their huge kitchen and also outside on this Mothers Day. The Local Three bourbon selection is superior. Local Three is family friendly. Garage parking is available. The interior is a big space that can be noisy. Smartphone maps can mislead you so take care finding the location.

Let me begin by saying I'm a big fan of the sister restaurant Muss and Turner's so my expectations align with their quality. It's very close to my office and it's a great lunch choice. So with that said, when I received a Local Three gift card this Christmas it gave me more incentive to try them as well. I've always heard wonderful things! I'll tell you it was a date night for my husband and I. We try to choose a new place each month and don't scrimp on the budget. We arrived for dinner Friday night and found a very interesting decor. It's rustic, barn-brewery atmosphere was warm and inviting but I won't tell you that it's what I expected (not given the prices). It's perhaps a bit too rustic for my taste with small tables and hard chairs but nevertheless it's part of the pub/bar atmosphere and charm. We were seated promptly and given the night's menu. Our waiter was very attentive and happy to give us the run down on the specials of the evening as well as advise on crowd favorites. We began our night with Mushroom,Bacon, Swiss Angus Beef Tartare! It's a favorite of mine and when I tell you it's probably the best I've ever eaten, I mean it. The portion was fair as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it! From there we ordered the Chorizo Empanadas. These were average and a bit overcooked but tasty nonetheless. What was over the top was the simple Shredded Cabbage and Pickled Onion salad that accompanied them. It was wonderful. The flavors worked perfectly together! I would not order the empanadas again (2 for $ 11.53), however I would order that slaw! From there we ordered the main course. We both labored over the various choices and had a hard time choosing from the many interesting options. My husband finally chose the Pork Shoulder with Sweet Potato and Swiss Chard. It was delivered to many tables around us and appeared to be delicious. My husband tasted it and was immediately in "hog heaven" pardon the pun. I on the other hand prefer seafood as a matter of routine so I ordered the MonkFish with creamy polenta. I must tell you it was overcooked, a little rubbery and slightly cold. After two bites, I knew I wasn't going to eat it. This is where the story gets interesting. When our waiter asked how it was I hesitated to say I didn't think it was good but then relented and told him. He immediately picked it up and offered to replace it. I told him it wasn't necessary as I had ordered it but he insisted. I at that point decided to opt for a dessert since I had saved dinner calories. Half of the wait staff including the owner personally apologized to me. So many times in fact I was almost embarrassed. I then ordered a Banana Creme Pie dessert which was to die for. At the end of dinner, the owner told me they had removed my dinner from the bill and that dessert was on the house. I again told him it wasn't necessary but he insisted. This is for me the mark of an exceptional restaurant! Everything won't be perfect every visit but it is definitely how it was handled that would encourage me to go back! Hats off to the staff for their attentive service. I'll definitely go back and try something new! The menu is transitioning now! I definitely see happy hour with tartare and a Charcuterie Sampler here as a staple! Enjoy!

We've had dinner there several times and it has always been great. Tucked away from the busy street, Local Three feels like a hidden treasure. All of the fresh, in season ingredients are definitely a plus, it is truly farm to table at its best.

Dined here with coworkers and spouses. The private dining room was perfect for our group of eight. Many of us went with "The McDowell" burger, which was enjoyed by all. The pork chop, black bass, and NY strip were also popular. We ordered a number of appetizers, sides, and desserts to share among the group, which is the way to go in order to try more of the dishes. The cheese plate and charcuterie plate were excellent - a nice variety of items. Love the locally-sourced, fresh ingredients. Local Three has an amazingly extensive list of bourbons, wines, etc. and a specialty, themed cocktail list - while we were there, the theme was "The Princess Bride" -- very clever.

We had a large couples group join for dinner at Local Three -- some our first time and others had been there many times. Our waitress was entertaining, engaging and enlightening about the menu, and provided excellent service throughout. The cocktails are very good and the gastronomic menu is eclectic and very high quality.

Had dinner here last night and can't say enough positive things about this place!! The space is beautiful, our server was awesome, and the food and cocktails were unbelievable. Will definitely be returning here!

Had a business dinner and we were not disappointed. I had the "hungry man" which was as close as you can get to a North East lobster roll and sides. It was served on a platter shaped like the old TV dinner tray, thus the name. Others had the duck breast and loved it. Bourbon and beer selection was great too. Awesome atmosphere. A must if in Buckhead.

This is a neat place that is off the beaten path. Locals know it and tourists should know it. They have a great selection of food and drink. We got a free kitchen tour after dinner.

Real Cool restaurant! Looks like a great Bar and special relaxed high end dining for dinner. We had brunch. All sorts of special items. The cool thing was serving yourself in the Kitchen. So neat to see a professional kitchen with the chief right behind the counter. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We were among the first in on the Sunday Brunch. Unfortunately the eggs, soup, shrimp and grits and pancakes were luke warn. They had not turned on the warming lights yet. The staff was open to our observations. I am sure that would do what it took to fix the problem. The food was great! Looks fun for drinks and dinner. Hear they have very good deserts too !

very nice food and great atmosphere. a bit loud and parking was a little bit confusing. active bar scene

We came on a Wednesday night and sat outside since there were no seats available and it was an hour and a half wait at pm. That should of been our first warning to leave. We sat outside on the bar side. My complaints are and hour meal took three we left at 9pm. Whatever I ordered they were out of. NO mussels No Meat Butter. I ordered the Mc Dowel and had it boxed because it was rare for a burger and the server smashed the burger and the fries in a six inch round to go container. Service is spotty at best I was not happy with it and no one really cared. outside is great inside is very noisy. Glad we did go outside but was continually forgotten. It took 30 minutes to get the check. I had hoped for a great meal but I was truly disappointed . I could of went to the Starbucks wine bar and had a better time. definitely would not go back. the truffle popcorn was good and the venison, save your time and money think of somewhere else.

Sort of hard to find in the base of an office complex of several bldgs, and even fewer signs. Once in the bldg it still isn't clear. The actual space is very open/loud, consisting of many larger highe tables (think mixed group seating) and low bar stools (not the most comfortable). Our server Tei was delightful, extremely well versed on all the offerings, and obviously excited by them too. Our group sampled 4 apps (wings/delish, a kale salad/I don't think u can make kale taste good, truffled popcorn/OMG - more plz, yeast rolls/so so so good). Entrees of the seafood pasta/we all cleaned our plates, ribs/dry - failed to deliver on the promised juiciness, trout/perfection, and venison/grossly underdone - even though the guest eats rare all the time (but not raw!). Mixologist was spot on and generous.

Had lunch here for the first time today...absolutely awesome selection of bourbons and very electric menu. I will definitely come back.

Amazing menu and amazing service! My fiance and I loved every minute and every bite! We will definitely return:)

My family went there for Dinner, on Saturday, June 5th and were expecting a local farm to table great food. Kids were welcome, but mine were the only ones there. We ordered drinks, waited and a different server came to deliver them. We then waited and waited, watching our server chat it up with millenials that just sat in his section. I know there is this idea that that families don't tip, but we do. Remember that it is the millenials who are driving the revolution to stop tipping. for a restaurant that changes their menu, each night, it would be important to have the new menu match the website. So, the mac&cheese that they had on their website, wasn't available, but a grilled cheese was. So, my youngest got a grilled cheese. I ordered the "Roasted Half Chicken, with a Caroline gold", which is a yellow rice. The price was a bit more than $28 for this entree and the server is telling me that the chef has personally saved this species of rice from extinction and it is delicious. Well, we waited, and waited and waited. We saw tables sit around us and order and their food came very quickly. We waited and some more. Where was our server? Chatting with the 20 something year old couple who just walked in. Every other table that belonged to our server, was getting their food and we were still waiting. After 25 minutes, our food came, and it was room temperature. I'm known as a picky eater whom cannot eat hot food. I always wait for my food to cool down before I eat it, so it was great that it came cooled enough for me. However, by the time it came, I wasn't very hungry. We then waited for the server to come by and check on us, which he never did. In fact, he basically disappeared. After waiting another 20 minutes or so I had to walk up to the bar, where three other servers and the manager were standing there, chatting, and ask if one of them could locate my server. They immediately looked around the room, as if they were prairie dogs all looking for a predator. I sat back down and waited about 5 minutes for our server to come back. I always give great tips, when I see the server working hard and I normally stay in the 20% and can go as high as 25%. On a $75 bill, he could have gotten as much as $15 tip, for our table, but instead, he got one of the lowest tips I have ever given. I know that the recent trend is to give the better service to the ones who will review you online, which is great for the restaurant. But don't harm the restaurant, for your own personal gain.

I've had this restaurant on my list for a while and in a random conversation with a friend, Local Three came up in conversation and he mentioned how he'd been there for brunch and how great the food was and the interesting twist the restaurant puts on how Sunday brunch is set up. Let me tell you, Local Three is serious about what they serve, how they serve it and what you think about what they are serving. Our waitress,"Tee", was personable, informative and gave us the 411 on what to do and how to get it done. Tee was on point!! Great customer service will woo me every time!! The food selections were plentiful, filling and Local Three's expression on comfort foods is creative and wonderful. The restaurant is an eclectic mix of lights extending from the wall, wooden tables, chalk boards and just an air of friendliness and warmth. I won't give away the twist to Local Three's brunch. I say go hungry, be open for a different experience and you will leave happy and not to mention full.

Birthday dinner for a friend. We sit down and it is 45 minutes before our drinks hit the tables. Then they take our dinner order. We wait about 45 minutes or so. One of our friends doesn’t get his food until 15 minutes after that. The food was good, by the way, but in no way worth this ridiculous wait. As I write this, I’m waiting for the check. It’s been a loooooong time since we asked for it. Yes, we had to ask for it. Great whisky selection, but we all made jokes about how the whisky can be aging while we sit at the table. If you choose to come here, I may well be still sitting here waiting for the check.

In town for Christmas and our hosts recommended this lovely establishment for dinner and I will definitely be back!! I can only speak to the following as these were the items I tried so here goes. The fried frussels sprouts, truffle mac'n'cheese, and autumn vegetable pot pie were ALL Amazing!! Finally if you are a spirited individual then it is hard to go wrong with a place that donates whiskey proceeds to charity. Totally boss!!

Visited this restaurant for dinner last week - part of a group of around 20+ people. 3 course set menu - great choices - everyone in the group loved the food Service was great - we had our own little private area and were seated across 3 tables. Plenty of space to walk around & network for the first 60 minutes and then we were seated for the 3 course. Great restaurant for office get together a and formal dinners. Strongly recommended.

We chose local three as a part of my nephews graduation week as we were from out of state and he made the reservations. The presentation is like a cafeteria line so everything is straight from the kitchen and always right there to refill serving dishes. Had wonderful well prepared food everything I tried was excellent. A great variety to satisfy any taste. The service was excellent there were 8 in our group and we were very well taken care of. Atmosphere is casual and enjoyable. I certainly go again

Celebrated our son's birthday here. This is our third visit (if we were local it would be many more) and it gets bette each time. The service staff is happy to work here and serve diners -- it shows. The kitchen is among the top five in our experience world-wide. What a gift to Atlanta. Only complaint is noise level, but that is understood to be part of the experience.

This restaurant has an eclectic menu centered around meats and southern ingredients put together in imaginative ways. It ranges from small sharable plates to full entrees. I thought the desserts were less successful. It is definitely a place to go for craft cocktails and an extensive bourbon menu. It is a large warehouse space, so when full it is a cacophony. The service was fantastic.

The service was excellent and the setting is unique with a wonderful ambience. The menu is very complex and this where I take a little umbrage with it being a great menu. It is like they try too hard. Nice wine list and service. JCv Atlanta

Business lunch with an old friend. Heard about this place and the Big Lebowski motif so had to check it out.ma little hard to find but worth it. Shared a burger and grilled cheese which were fabulous and the asparagus soup was wonderful. Getting greeted by a mural of the Dude is a nice touch. Local Three abides!

Great laid back restaurant, great brunch, great drinks! Great service! Pay one price and all you can eat. I loved the potatoes, lemon drop cookies, pasta. My friends said the maple pecan pancakes were good.

I think one of my least favorite things to hear from a waiter, sorry your order is behind the large group we seated. Yours is coming up really soon. From the moment we sat down the staff was behind. The hostess sat us at a table that was not setup. Once we were greeted our water left. A drink order maybe? We waited to place our order, then waited forever for the food. Requested the food runner to have our waiter stop by so that we could refill our empty glasses. Water refilled, never. Since this was our first visit, pretty sure we will not be back.

Never would have found this on my own, what a find! It is nestled back in a very nice apartment complex. Monday night - nice buzz to the place, bartender was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions. Many local beers on tap. I had the fresh louisiana crab "carbonara" (appetizer) as my entree. Truly a gourmet meal in a pleasant atmosphere without breaking the bank.

Great for a lunch located on the ground floor of a business building in the 3200 block block of Northside Pkwy. Interesting dishes with a twist. Stocked bar with a wide variety of libations. No small portions.

interesting little place , lots of character , great sunday brunch through their kitchen .... last evening dinner of burgers fries .. and Duck with waffles was excellent . desserts are all made in house ... and tasty

This restaurant is a little bit of a "speak easy" joint in that it's unsuspectingly tucked away. The ambiance is really great, lots of masculine wood and easy lighting. The food is superb, cooked by some of Atlanta's most exquisite chiefs. Local Three is famous for its vast bourbon bar, which, according to my particular boyfriend, was the best he's experienced. The owners are very concerned with pleasing their customers as well as giving back to the community, as I know they are involved with various nonprofits around Atlanta. Awesome place all around!

Local Three continues to impress. Had dinner there this past Monday. Awesome food and wine. Somehow, the service was even better. The waiter knew the menu and drink selections like the back of his hand. However, the entire staff that we encountered were fabulous in terms of doing what they were supposed to do and their friendliness. They enjoyed the fact that we were there but gave us our space too. We had the cod, McRib (whimsical presentation), and the short rib meals. All were amazingly tasty but I think the short rib won. Started with the charcuterie which was excellent. The desserts were all delicious ends to the best Monday meal I will likely ever have! Wine list is nice but not huge. Definitely visit if you have not already. By the way, if you are a fan of brown liquor, this is your place.

... ONLY because I don't want this place to blow up and force this 'foodie' to have to book weeks in advance! Excellent food, top notch service, and a fun environment made for an awesome night out with my husband for his birthday. We were there on a Wednesday night, but still made reservations. Being vegetarians, I usually include this information when booking. It helps. And our server (Adrian - amazing), was prepped to give us the rundown of their menu with the best options available to us. The brussel sprouts are to die for; so much so, we ended up getting a second order! Unfortunately, the food runner told us it was the last week they'll be available until the fall. We certainly can't fault them for providing a seasonal menu - it was one of the reasons we wanted to try this place. The truffle parmesan popcorn will have you licking your fingers - it's certainly the best popcorn we've ever had and was a great appetizer to snack on to start the evening. We also ordered the miso soup to split - the portion size was PERFECT to split, and they even prepare it in two separate bowls! Our next plate was a 'Daily' option - Turnip salad with a creamy cheese sauce on the side. Although it was our least favorite, it was still delicious - and we still cleaned our plates! By this point, we were pretty stuffed - but had already ordered an 'entree' of the Squash Risotto. Again, we split it, and again they prepared is for us in separate bowls. Rich, creamy, and seriously decadent. Thankfully, we couldn't finish our portions, so we had leftovers for lunch the next day! Next time we will definitely order less food, just to save some room for dessert. We were too stuffed to go there, but everything looked awesome. The decor is funky rustic. The vibe is super casual (business suits/dresses alongside tables of shorts and flip flops). Lots of options for big parties, as well as small two tops for a fun night out with your boo. The directions offered on the website are spot on - trust them. And there's plenty of signage along the way to get you where you need to be for parking (which is free). There's a patio that we will definitely be frequenting this summer with friends. Would recommend reservations (especially on weekends), but it wasn't at capacity when we were there during the week. GREAT option for vegetarians! Like I said - keep this place on the DL... It's a GEM.

Enjoyed an outstanding Sunday Brunch after church. The variety and quantity of food available on the buffet is astounding. The service was very courteous and attentive. The atmosphere fresh and inviting. This place is hard to find... you really have to want to eat here to find it. It is located in a complex off of Northside Parkway, tucked out of sight. Even when you are inside the building you wonder if you are headed down the right corridor to the entrance of the establishment. As mentioned, food variety, quantity and quality is outstanding, however you pay for the experience so come hungry. For us, a party of 2, the buffet including tax and tip totaled $69.00

My husband and I were visiting my daughter and her boyfriend and it was also my birthday so they suggested to my husband that they take me to Local Three as its one of their favorite restaurants. We really enjoyed our evening there. The service was great and after some suggestions my husband ordered the prix fixe menu which consisted of a summer blueberry salad, a choice of trout or meatloaf(we had the meatloaf) and a lemon blueberry bar for dessert. I had the vegetable lasagna. Everything was delicious. I was also brought a yummy special dessert for my birthday with a candle. Very nice atmosphere, service and food. We'd definitely go again.

I have been coming to local three for a long, long time... and will continue to do so. On Friday night, the kitchen lost our meal ticket. Our server Grace was gracious and professional; Manager Eric went above and beyond in correcting the issue and compensating us. Really wasn't necessary... Our entrées were not super late but we did have a show we needed to get to. The food and drinks were fab, as usual. That kind of service and professionalism sets L3 apart (and really ties the room together).

Great bar. Great food. We've never had a bad experience. We only eat meat out at restaurants whose servers can tell you where the meat comes from. Local Three knows how to source their food, and how to prepare it. You won't be disappointed.

When i made reservations to celebrate my friend's bday, I didnt know Sunday Brunch is only buffet. Let me say one of the best buffets ever, it was worth the $50 per person. I like thay the buffet is set in the kitchen, which was great because I like to see kitchens. The food and wait staff was phenomenal. Our server Melissa was the sweetest person with a big smile. I usually don't tip buffet staff at 20%, I did for her. I enjoyed the whole experience and my friend was so happy. You must check out Local Three for any meal.
Fun Bar and Great Fare
Visited for lunch for the first time with some business colleagues and loved it. I had the Blue Plate Special, which was a pulled pork sandwich with a great cole slaw. My colleague got the trout which was terrific. The bar has a very comfortable feel and has an outstanding selection of Bourbon. I will be back to check it out. Service was excellent and all the staff was outstanding .
