Worth it for the view

By Ruth |

Husband booked us a river view room and it was amazing. Very large room with floor to ceiling windows and outstanding view over the river. Had little connection with staff other than check in & out and door guys who were polite. Had breakfast at Land & Lake because we had credits due to Hilton Honors. Nice enough. The views though!

Gorgeous London House

By Ileana R |

London house is absolutely gorgeous! Neil was excellent in checking me and my friend in early. He was very attentive and friendly with us. I loved how he would listen and check in on us to make sure we were good. i highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is interested in visiting Chicago.

Kindness

By Samantha C |

Very nice place!!! They welcome you with very kindness and recommend the best, Gigi very attentive and helpful, in the bar Gonzalo recommended us to order food and helped us get table, Mr. Francisco very friendly and attentive. 10/10

Disappointing

By adriannaopenspace |

Unable to take a seat because we didn’t order food! $10 a beer and not allowed to sit. Rude staff and no vibe! Soooo disappointed ☹️

Great view, cheap vibe

By Lauren L |

Definitely worth going up for the view, but drinks are served on plastic disposable cups ($20 cocktails). Go for a drink and the view but don’t linger.

Amazing service

By Ammar K |

From the second we stepped in the doors every staff member was so accommodating. The front desk member, Awien, made us feel so welcome and even personally came up to our room to deliver the flute glasses that we asked for at check in. Our stay here by far elevates any other hotel we’ve visited in Chicago. We will definitely be back!

Amazing view

By Eri P |

They were super cute; but of course we return! The decoration is beautiful, and everything is super clean. It is super located.

Love it

By Tamila U |

Love this place! My favorite bartender Mauvicio has a best drinks. Must visit place in Chicago. View is breathtaking. Reserve in advance

In town on business

By traveler22 |

Rooftop is wonderful! Best view in the city!!! Food is 10/10 ! Dangelo and Natasha were extremely friendly and took time to give me great recommendations for other things to do around the city. My visit here wouldn’t of been what it was if it wasn’t for the staff. I wasn’t a fan of my first drink that one of the bartenders made me and dangelo noticed and fixed it. He was busy and still Made time to make me feel special. Natasha noticed I was talking about where to go and what to do and even made me a list of recommendations. It’s been a long time since I’ve had this type of hospitality. London house give your staff a raise because they are doing everything right. It’s rare to find these days

Rude staff, don’t recommend

By Pamela A |

Awful experience on their rooftop this afternoon! My two girlfriends and I were enjoying overpriced cocktails ($20 for weak, watered down drinks) on their rooftop bar on a Saturday afternoon. After being asked to move twice by Ill-mannered staff, we gave up and left. Really don’t recommend. Not welcoming, not fun, and overpriced.

Great views of the city, if you can find a table or a spot to stand

By crunch6 |

Make sure to make a reservation for a table so your experience here will be top notch. The views of the city are so spectacular so don't miss out.

The start of the honeymoon was excellent

By Jonathan S |

We went there the night of our wedding and it was incredible. Five stars all the way. We had Matt help us and he was so good. Super friendly and accommodating.

LH

By MMP |

Recently had the pleasure of staying at LH during my visit to Chicago. I appreciated the ambiance and amenities provided. Moreover I throughly enjoyed my rooftop dining experience! Thanks so much for the suggestion miss Bianca!

Pretty place

By Charudatta B |

Just visited this place for site seeing, This is a very pretty building in downtown Chicago area. We went at night.

Rudolph’s Rooftop at London House is Spectacular!

By jsb87 |

Just spend a couple hours having dinner in an igloo at the rooftop during the Christmas season. The decorations and view were dazzling! The food was delicious. It far exceeded our expectations. It will cost you $500 to reserve an igloo, but worth every penny. The service was great, too.

Not worth it. Plastic Cups!!

By Nancy-Anne |

Came here for drinks with a view, on our recent visit to Chicago. Yes, the view is good, however, a half pint of lager cost over $10 and drinks are served in plastic child like cups, which I found bizarre. Had to wait quite a while to get served, by a miserable waitress. No table service. All of the couches on the terrace did not have any cushions on, so you couldn't sit on them (you would have been sitting on the frame only). No idea why. This place could be so much more. I prefer wine to beer, but at $70 a bottle and to be drank out of plastic cups, we just didn't bother.

Awesome Espresso Martini!

By Colleen W |

If you are looking for a beautiful view of the city with great drinks & service then come to Londonhouse Rooftop bar. I had the Forever Summer and Espresso Martini which were both delicious! D’Angelo (bartender) and Joey (server) were both very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back!

My favorite escape... always delivers THANKS Ashley

By John P |

As a former resident of Chicago, I very much enjoy coming back to my hometown. I’ve stayed at many properties in the city, but I believe the London house is the complete property. It has the perfect blend of location, great rooms, and outstanding staff. Tonight, after a long travel day, which included attending a funeral I was pretty beat when I checked in after 10 PM at night Ashley at the front desk was enthusiastic, efficient, concise, and overall, and outstanding brand representative. This was a great way to kick off a stay at this exceptional property.

Rude rooftop staff. No special attention for hotel guests.

By Rene S |

Stayed at hotel, could not find separation on Trip Advisor. Rooftop staff was very rude. Rooms were small and dark. Amenities were very nice shampoos, lotions, body wash.

Fabulous Experience - Check In to Check Out

By Rarm13 |

We were over for a Wed-Fri visit. Yessica handled us at check in and at check out. She was amazing! Friendly, patient, informative. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the elevators state of the art. All staff were pleasant. Both evenings we finished at the bar on the 21st floor. We were well taken care of by that staff too.

Great staff

By Cade C |

Very accommodating and professional staff. My girlfriend and I were treated with the upmost respect. A great place for some classy drinks.

Impeccable Service

By SandyB0420 |

My friends and I stayed three nights at the London House in August. The hotel is conveniently located downtown to all the sites shopping and dinning. We had a beautiful view of the river. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I would like especially thank our Bellman Mark. He was always helpful with anything we needed. We will definitely be visiting this beautiful hotel on our next stay!

Best hotel location ever!

By Mary S |

This is the place you need to stay if you are making a trip to Chicago! The location is walking distance from just about anything and there are even restaurants located in the hotel! We got breakfast downstairs and ate dinner on the rooftop! The staff is so accommodating, Neil and Matthew were so helpful! This will be our go to hotel in chicago from now on!

Girls Night Out

By Morgan B |

Went to the London House with some friends to get drinks and I had such a great time. The bartender Juan Carlos was AMAZING. He made some great drinks. The manager Marcus Terry was also nice. I’ll give this place a 10/10, would recommend.

Our wonderful server, Dominic!

By colleenb92 |

My mom and I went to Bridges for Holiday Tea and Dominic was our server. He was incredibly kind and attentive. He even helped my mom with a pillow so she could sit comfortably in her chair. He was also really funny and personable. He knew the menu really well and made the occasion so special. We’ve done afternoon tea at many locations and this is now one of our favorites. We’ll be back!

Amazing view of Chicago

By nicole t |

The London House rooftop bar has an amazing view over the Chicago river. Is a must do venue when visiting this great city

Exceptional Service!

By Loraine S |

Old, yet modern charm. The common spaces are warm yet chic. The staff is professional. Room service did not disappoint! It was nice having a rooftop bar/lounge. You can’t beat the location of this hotel. Ask for River view. Mark (bellhop) was fantastic! He remembered my name from 5 hr earlier when I dropped my bags. Very personable, friendly and exceptionally friendly and professional. Allen and George were great too!

Exceptional Service by Shams

By Kyle B |

Shams made our stay unforgettable with outstanding hospitality and attention to detail. From a warm welcome to personalized recommendations and thoughtful surprises like my favorite tea, Shams consistently went above and beyond. Professional, friendly, and genuinely caring, Shams exemplifies exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the hotel! We are the asian couple you let us in early check in if you see this Shams! I hope this captures your experience well!

Spectacular view but food not the best

By kylie |

We went to the rooftop bar, spectacular view and decorated nicely up there. Great photo spot. Food was quite limited on the menu and not the best, but still worth a look if you’re in the area. Abit of a mission trying to elevator that only fits 6people and queues of people wanting it but things moved fairly quickly considering.

Definitely something that should be on your list

By Thepik |

The bar and restaurant has an amazing view. The experience up stairs is quite busy so definitely inform them you are staying at the hotel if you want to dine on the patio. I ate upstairs and it was busy all around with people taking photos and video. I would have preferred to eat downstairs and go upstairs for drinks only as it was a bit too busy to enjoy your meal with so many people gathered around you trying to capture the view. I had the steak and it was cooked perfect! The view is spectacular, especially at golden hour when the sun is starting to go down.

Just okay food.

By Karen K |

Just okay food. Disappointing that a glass of wine is served in a rocks tumbler. Service was very good.

Great rooftop bar

By micha |

Great terrace with a great view and nice people. Be careful when choosing your drink - the most expensive spritz of my life. But it was worth it.

A very central hotel.

By Evelyne G |

We stayed 4 nights at the London House in Chicago. This hotel is very convenient because it allows you to visit on foot almost all the attractions of Chicago: the riverfront promenade, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the millennium, magnificent mile... The restaurant at the foot of the hotel serves good breakfasts. Nearby are restaurants for the evening (Pizzeria Giordano’s for the famous deep dish, steack houses... Shopping on magnificent mile is worth the trip. There are even two souvenir shops behind the hotel. I recommend the boat cruise on the river: on the boat “First lady” (just outside the hotel) a volunteer architect introduces us to the architecture of the skyscrapers along the river. From the aquarium we can take a taxi boat that takes us to Navy Pier. This allows to have another view of the skyscrapers while enjoying the lake. Otherwise the roof top of the hotel is a good point of view. Returning to the hotel I would say that the room is comfortable, functional , clean and pleasant. Choose a very high floor to limit the noise of animation by the river on summer evenings. Fortunately the comfort of the bedding and the jet lag make it easier to fall asleep. I really recommend this hotel to make the most of your stay in Chicago.

Great view, but disappointed experience

By Ashley A |

Not worth the price for the crowded views and subpar overpriced food. The hotel is extremely crowded, even with reservations. The steak sizes were a joke for the price and they were not cooked or seasoned well.

Great location if you're visiting Downtown!

By BJ A |

My wife and I have been staying at the London House for the last five years for our anniversary and we will be staying here again this year. From the valet to the front desk, everyone has been so kind. You truly feel like you're receiving white glove service. We also love that it's within walking distance from the Riverwalk and Mag Mile. Highly recommend staying here, make sure to get the river view, the views at night are amazing!

Excellent service

By Madison N |

An excellent spot to enjoy summer in the city with a great view. Cocktails and food are great and are pretty reasonably priced. During our time there, a guest at the table next to us was using a lot of homophobic slurs but our server Chrissy handled it so well. She immediately brought over a member of the security staff, Angel, who addressed our concerns and helped remove the customer so we chilled enjoy our time there. Chrissy and Angel went above and beyond to make us feel safe and allow us to have an enjoyable evening at London House and I can’t recommend them enough!

Great location

By fireplac |

Great location, room serviced daily and cleaned to a high standard. Lots of corporate guests part way through our stay at which point we felt ignored. We opted for bed and breakfast. Upon going fur breakfast we were asked for “vouchers” having no idea what these were the greeter Laura who was lovely person and totally approachable kindly explained . Vouchers are worth $20 each per person anything you order above this price you pay the difference.(which we had no issue with. These vouchers should have been given to us when we checked in. I think a better system could be used here as handing over vouchers made me personally feel uncomfortable. We also ate at the rooftop bar all food at the hotel was well cooked, well presented and enjoyable. Roof top bar is open to public to enjoy views. This was an issue during part of our meal as a constant stream of people were packed into small space next to our table. Overall though it was a lovely stay.

Beautiful location

By Gianina Pep |

Overall, the hotel was pleasant. The rooms were beautifully decorated, though slightly small. Despite this, they were very comfortable and well-arranged. However, I was somewhat let down by the front desk customer service. We didn't receive the warmest welcome, which was disappointing given the many hotel options in Chicago. Upon arrival, I found myself wishing I had chosen a different property.

Amazing from start to finish

By Kristin D |

London House not only has amazing views of the city, but their cocktails, food, and vibe is top notch. Our bartender Dawnne was exceptional, and made great recommendations. Overall the service at the bar was great, which is sometimes difficult with a crowded bar - we never waited to get our next drink. We tried several different cocktails and left with the urge to return and try others.

We LOVE it here!

By Janbarrfly |

Honestly one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are lovely, every hotel employee is so kind and friendly, and it’s close to everything in Chicago that we wanted to see!! Nicole at the front check in desk was our first London House Hotel experience and she couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant! Also…the food at the rooftop restaurant is DELICIOUS!! We ate there twice and both times was absolutely perfect. Compliments to the chef! We will most definitely come back! Cheers!

Just a fair experience. Smells like pee

By Titigomezariza |

Good drinks but not great ambiance. It smelled like pee in se real corners. Not great music. We were there for a drink and did not find it a great experience. Just fair

Awesome hotel with amazing staff

By lexeth |

We had an outstanding experience at the London House. The concierge team saw to our every need before we even arrived, helping us with planning, logistics, activities, transportation and dinner reservations throughout our stay. We are so grateful to Mary and her crew for their friendly, thoughtful, experienced guidance to make the most of our trip. The LH Rooftop and Ocean Prime restaurant provided delicious food and drinks. When we needed to depart abruptly due to an emergency, the management helped us make our changes as stress-free as possible. I can’t recommend the London House, and especially concierge Mary, highly enough and we will definitely be back.

Christmas Day at London House

By Logan L |

Spent Christmas Eve with my family in the beautiful presidential suite and Mary went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and celebrated!

A little getaway

By casmith_93035 |

What a gorgeous hotel. We were so fortunate to catch the tail end of the Christmas decorations and it was amazing. Check-in was a breeze but a little disappointed. We asked about a possible upgrade and were told there would be a nightly fee, so we passed. Our friends who checked in an hour later were offered the same upgrade, declined the upgrade, but were still upgraded. The room was very nice but small. There was a bunch of sugar spilled on the windowsill but that was easily taken care of. The bathroom was huge but had only two outlets and no storage or hooks to hang stuff on…honestly a very easily missed opportunity. The restaurant downstairs was great for breakfast. The bar in the lobby is a great meeting place with live music and wonderful bartenders. The bar upstairs, near the rooftop bar was great. Our bartender (female with blonde hair and has worked there for a while) was fantastic. We met David, the Food and Beverage Manager; he was awesome. We really enjoyed his company and his insights into the city. A great little gem of a hotel and even better in the off-season when it is super affordable.

Breath taking view

By Explorer |

Excellent view, its out of this world waking up thrue the beam of light coming from outside is a good time to be up and sleeping in mesmerizing the night lights is breath taking. You can appreciate more if you grow up in the city.

Beautiful

By Charudatta B |

Beautiful building. Went on rooftop to see the view of downtown Chicago. The lighting and view of river is beautiful.

Family vacation

By Eve |

Beautiful hotel, very clean and close to main activities in Chicago. Just a 10mins walk from the train station, very convenient 😊 We had a very helpful man name Matthew when checking in, gave us a lot of information about the hotel and activities in Chicago 😊

Aesthetic

By Charles-Ryan |

I loved the London House - like most curio hotels it has a boutique feel with unique furnishings, I loved the bar/lounge especially the large chairs. I tried a few of their cocktails, loved the Spear me the Drama - Michelle was super knowledgeable and created quite a few off menu drinks that I love - it made my wait to meet friends on the roof top a lot of fun. Which, is amazing. The view is great and they have an another bar which seems to be a hot spot. Will visit again, but I do wish they had empress gin.

London House Chicago ~~ Exceptional Service

By CharKris17 |

At London House Chicago check in and Bar area, Nicole was a Rock Star. She went above and beyond to search, call and then locate my lost phone. The only reason it was successful is because she did not give up to provide the Best Service. I may also add multiple people had assisted in the search, but she was persistent. She was professional and so helpful! The hotel is in a great location in Downtown. The valet while super busy, always had our car in 10 min or less. I would definitely stay here again!

Birthday in Chicago

By Susan L |

We were given the royal treatment at the upstairs restaurant for my birthday. It was just a lovely evening with tapas for all. The food was served hot and delicious. The staff were courteous and very helpful with the menu choices. We'll definitely be back again. The concierge Mary was amazing as were Mark Z. and Fikret. You really felt special.

Hosted a private birthday party!

By Richard C |

My partner and I hosted a big birthday at the London House on 5/27/2022. It exceeded my expectations. The room was decked out with furniture that we rented that made this beautiful room with stunning views and a terrace seem comfortable and elegant. The food was excellent, and the desserts outrageous. Thank you for substituting one of the desserts for my favorite; German chocolate cake. Evie was great! And she left us in the very capable hands of Gonzo, who makes a mean Manhattan, Robert, the captain, and German and Edgar, our attentive servers. I will make a plug for "Walker" the band that killed it...and will be playing around town this summer, beginning with Andersonville Midsummer Fest on June 12, 2022. Such a great time. Thank you all. If you are thinking of hosting a special occasion, definitely check out the London House.

It was amazing!!!!

By Sara G |

Arturo was amazing, the room he gave us was beautiful because he knew my boyfriend of 2 years and I had or anniversary that day <3 London house is definitely a place I will come again, it got beautiful views and wonderful service! Thank you again London House!

Staff goes above and beyond to help make such a great stay!

By Margaret D |

The whole staff was amazing, they took such wonderful care of us! I have a hurt ankle and they helped so much with the car and the luggage and the kids— the whole lot. So kind, so helpful.

Amazing view with amazing customer service

By Jaskiran U |

Every time I visit Chicago I have to stay at London house it is one the best hotels I have stayed at. From customer service to the views, to the amazing drinks and the rooftop experience, I must say it is very breath taking. I will most certainly be staying here for the rest of my trips that I will be taking in Chicago!!!!

All sizzle, no steak

By Bob H |

Genuinely the worst cocktails I’ve ever had in Chicago. Unbalanced, overloaded with syrup, and poorly executed. The staff was rude and pretentious. This place is all image. It’s a great location to “be seen” but nothing more. Great views of the city though, and plenty of “instagramable moments” with their decor.

Great views up and down the Chicago River

By DallasMomDadKids |

Of course, everyone goes here for the views up and down the Chicago River. I had a salad and a Miller Lite in the bar area and then moved up to take some pictures on the rooftop. Really nice. It was a little cool outside, so we ate in the bar, but if it's possible, getting a table outside would be the idea. I'm not sure what you have to do to get a table outside.

10/10 hotel experience

By Nicole K |

This hotel is absolutely stunning the location is perfect. Super friendly and helpful staff. Maeve was super sweet and kind! Highly recommended staying here. 10/10. The views are AMAZING.

A Reflection of Chicago's World Class Beauty

By John L |

The staff, rooms and views are all beautiful. Being in the service industry for over 40 years, I like to observe the manners and styles offered, so I may do a better job. First and foremost, all the guests and visitors were greeted on the ground floor and lobby with, "Welcome, may I assist you?" It was so refreshing. In particular, I want to acknowledge Jackie in the bar area for a job well done. She is very efficient in her work, and her smile makes everyone feel at home. Brava! Brava!

Helped tremendously! 10/10

By Kells J |

I didn’t fill out my credit card authorization form in time, but Aweis was a huge help and saved the day. She really worked her magic!

Best hotel in CHI!!

By Juhi J |

Booked my 3 visit to this hotel and if that doesn’t show how fabulous this place truly is I don’t know what does! Edgar was a great help in booking my most recent stay - looking forward to yet another successful Chicago trip thanks to London house !!!

Girl’s weekend

By Alexundria J |

Went for a girls weekend and everything was absolutely great! So cleans and such a beautiful view of downtown from our room- plus an extremely accommodating management team. Marcus and Wilson were able to assist us with all our needs and great recommendations throughout our weekend stay! Thank you so such amazing customer service and attentiveness.

Take In Chicago's Views While Having a Drink

By Dave D |

We went to London House to check out the amazing views and really enjoyed it! my wife had a glass of wine while we looked around and took photos. It is important to note that if you don't have a reservation, it is standing room only at the bar and surrounding area, you can't not sit at a table, so make a reservation! I was surprised at the lack of shade up there as well, even for the reserved tables. It was hot, the sun was shining down on everyone and there was little escape from there. Hopefully management addresses this in the future since being exposed to that much heat and sun for a while can be bad.

Great place to stay for leisure travel

By reek007 |

This was my first stay in this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Check in and check out was seamless and the front desk staff was amazing and attentive! The room view of the city and river were awesome. The bathroom was well kept. The location was on point which was in walking distance to various restaurants and eatery's. Didn't get a chance to check out the rooftop bar because of the capacity, but I hear it could be worth the wait if you have the time.. I'd most definitely stay again!

Perfect service

By Lynn S |

Excellent service from the friendly valet staff, Ken O at the front desk who was so welcoming, to the host at the 21st floor bar. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have several nice extras.

Bad treatment of bar staff on the terrace

By Germán C |

The very nice place, the amazing view but the treatment of the nefarious bartender, with us and with other customers, we better get out and go elsewhere

Summer Tea Service

By Stephanie C |

We spent a lovely afternoon in the bridges lobby bar enjoying the tea service. Our server Rohan was attentive and pleasant. The offerings were amazing in taste, and presentation. Along with a spectacular view it was a wonderful way to start my birthday week.

World class hotel and location

By phiette |

The hotel is located along the Chicago River in the very desirable River North neighborhood which is a hotspot for restaurants, bars and areas of interest. We have visited Chicago many times and have stayed in many different hotels but this is definitely at the top of our list. The room was very well designed and quite comfortable. The view from our six floor window was of the Trump Tower and the surrounding areas of the stunning River North neighborhood. I learned that the rooftop bar and restaurant is ranked second in the country but I am hard-pressed to believe that a rooftop bar in Washington DC could top the views from this location. Finally when we reached the airport on our day of departure I realized that I had left my prescription sunglasses in the room. I contacted the housekeeping supervisor who checked with his personnel who so they have not found glasses in the room. To his credit he offered to check the room personally and he found my glasses as well as an expensive pair of shoes that my wife had unknowingly left. He very promptly shipped the items to our home here in Flagstaff Arizona.

London House Rooftop is a must go to!

By Lauren Y |

Favorite part about our trip! We went during downtime on a Friday lunchtime. Dawn, the supervisor, was awesome. Great vibes and conversation. She gave us good recommendations on what else to do on our weekend trip. Highly recommend!!

Our favorite Chicago hotel!

By Wayne F |

We travel to Chicago at least 3-4 times a year, and we always stay here. It's a perfect location on the Chicago River and just a block from great shopping on Michigan Avenue. But most of all, the customer service is unparalleled. We enthusiastically recommend!

Great view meh drinks

By Khammel |

Trip was so worth the view- nothing like it. I do feel that there could have been a better drink menu. Something fun and exciting to match the view. This was our second time here and we will probably go every time.

Great views, average food

By Erik S |

Our family visited this restaurant on a recent trip to Chicago. The space and views were great. The price and food was average. For better or worse, the clientele was not nearly as formal as the dress code described on the website. T shirt and jeans will fit in fine.

10/10 definitely

By maria m |

All the staff is great!! Special attention to GG she es so kind !!! Is a really nice place and great food.

Adorable Hotel

By lsv |

My husband & I stayed at the London House this month for a Christmas get-a -way. We picked a room facing the River & Trump Hotel. We had the Vista Room. It was the time of our lives .....Floor to ceiling windows and looking at the Christmas L Train that went by on occasion all dressed up with tons of multicolor lights. There are restaurants in the Hotel that are very nice & a rooftop rest. for eating & drinking. Right across the street is a Fanny May Candy store that I visited more than 5 times, a CVS about 1/2 blk away and Walgreens & Ulta right across the River. A good restaurant 1 block away is Emerald Grill & Bar. This is a great Hotel to stay at over Christmas or summer......modern walk in showers, soft clean beds big TVs. Will go again this summer & for sure Christmas 2023 for 4 nights Linda & Chuck V.

Windy city getaway

By sammy s |

We just can’t say enough about our wonderful experience at the London house. The views from our room were spectacular, service was superb, dining was excellent. However a porter named Allen, was exceptional with giving us great advice and where to go and all the famous places to eat. We look forward to our next trip to the windy city!. Thanks to the London house and other professionals like Allen.

Great views and drinks

By karen |

We had the best time beautiful views. The service was great especially the bartender Dawnne she was so friendly and helpful, it was an extremely hot day and she took the best care of us definitely coming back again. The tacos were delicious we were there for Cinco de Mayo and had tableside guacamole a big plus

Great hotel with terrible restaurant service

By Sarah H |

The hotel itself is fantastic. The location is perfect to get to a lot of attractions in the city. The bellhop staff was very friendly as well as front desk. Our room had a great view and everything was very clean. We actually forgot toothbrushes and they sent some up to the room. The restaurant hospitality in this hotel is severely letting down the Hilton brand. From the rooftop bar to the land and lake kitchen the service was absolutely awful. It almost seemed like they didn’t want to be there. We tried land and lake several times just because of how easy it was downstairs from the lobby. Our last occasion we could openly hear the staff trash talking us regarding what we ordered. Just to tell us $70 at the end not providing a receipt. My boyfriend is vegetarian we had gotten grilled cheese there two consecutive days prior without any issue. I see that we are not the first review on here regarding the service from the restaurant staff. Do better Hilton.

Terrible venue to represent Chicago Downtown--don't bother going there.

By Judith B |

This restaurant had good reviews which lured us to visit. The specialty is bar food and tapas. Our food (several tapas selections) was inedible. As I was preparing to send it back for a hamburger, the ladies at the next table sent their burgers back to the kitchen. We ending up paying for a bad meal and left hungry and disappointed.

Book your reservation now!!!!

By Marilyn S |

I checked in this afternoon with the AMAZING VIANEY!! I'm here with the Bobbi Brown Sales team for 3 days. There was an issue with my reservation, but Vianey in THE MOST calm, cool way said, "no worries, we'll figure it out" and just like that....I have the most beautiful room!! I usually stay at the Peninsula, but that's going to change!! I'm a London House Girl now!! Thanks Vianey!!!

Stay here !

Must-see; Must-do

By @i_therefore_conclude |

Truly, madly, deeply enjoyed our date in one of the best rooftop bars in America. We had cocktails du jour, small plates and memories of a breathtaking view that we’ll remember for a long time! Loved the drinks and tapas: Peach Dream ($18): Basil Hayden Bourbon, peach + mandarin Dearborn Sour ($18): Empress Gin, raspberry + hibiscus Jamaican Jerk Scallops ($30): Seared scallops, coconut creamed corn, mango chutney, shallots Thai Style Spare Ribs ($18): Grilled spare ribs, thai style marinade Loco Moco ($17): Angus beef patty, SPAM fried rice, bone marrow demi, fried egg Sweeping view of Chicago Riverfront: priceless A rooftop dining experience - day or night - at London House Chicago is a must-do while in this fabulous city. Find your jaw on the floor after you oooh and aaaah left to right. A wonderful place to stay whether business or pleasure!

By Randall M |

This was my third stay at this wonderful and exciting hotel. First, Neil V., 731, you Rock sir for providing a great professional and courteous check in and check out process. Such professionalism seems to be engrained in the DNA of the entire staff there. It's a great location and just a walk away from major attractions and restaurants. The view is off the charts of the river and beautiful Chicago infrastructure. The rooms are perfect with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Further, the restaurant downstairs on the first floor I have to say has the best breakfast served hot and fresh. The coffee is really great! I highly recommend this hotel for either business or pleasure. Pamper yourself with great service and a relaxing stay. I know I'll be back and Neil V thank you sir :-)

Extremely disappointing

By JHQ |

We experienced extremely disappointing situations. When we checked in around 2pm, we were asked to wait a little until the room is ready, which would tell by text message. Without any text message, we came back at 4pm expecting to take shower for a party soon. However, the room was not ready yet and we were asked wait 30 min more. After waiting patiently, I was amazed to hear the room was not ready yet at 4:30 and I had to claim for that unwillingly. Manager came but nothing happened and had to wait until 5pm. We were very disappointed with very poor and ignoring attitudes by changing staff members of Hilton. And the room was very dark with very limited lights. I will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. One only good thing is Land & Lake, the restaurant on 1st floor, which gave us good time even in such embarrassing experiences.

Fantastic Hotel

The hotel is great! Front Desk staff and specifically Marcus T was fantastic at the reception. He made me feel as if I arrived Home. The rooftop was incredible with great Cocktails.

One of the worst places in Chicago

By adibartolo |

Awful service at the rooftop bar. The Batman was one of the most un politely and rude I have ever seen. To be honest, none was anyhow friendly or welcoming. It’s a pity that such a great location is so badly managed.

Schizophrenic

By Nicegirl3000 |

On the one hand, the physical aspects are lovely. Renovated to a high standard with marble baths, new electronics, stylish contemporary decor. Very attractive and inviting space. But as another reviewer said, it’s people that make the place, and I felt like I was being hustled by the staff of a cheap motel - everything seemed about trying to get more $ out of me. Asked if I could get a late checkout. There’s usually a little flexibility and I need only an extra hour to come back from my meeting, shower, change and head to airport tomorrow. Looking for 1 pm vs noon. Was told that would cost me $25. Also @ check-in, I was told that they needed to put the cost of one night’s stay on my credit card in case I damage the room. I had prepaid for the stay and am accustomed to providing a credit card hold for incidental expenses, but not a “damage” deposit, Got to the room and found it was shower only - no tub. I have a medical condition that requires me to take baths instead of showers. Asked if I could get a room with a bathtub instead. Was told that would cost me an extra $65. I explained that I didn’t want a “nicer” room - just any room with a tub. They agreed, but told me it was “just this one time.” They don’t have to worry about a next time. Overall, the the check-In experience is not on par with the property. The property is 4+ stars, but the check-in process felt like Motel 6.

Great checkin!

By Zuzu Petals |

Great checkin experience! I had a very complicated checkin due to arriving a day early for a company retreat, needing to cancel a reservation for a team member while also extending the stay for yet a 3rd team member. Neil was incredibly helpful, he managed to help me accomplish everything in record time (oh did I mention I left my phone in the taxi and had zero confirmation numbers!). Elizabeth was the supervisor and also helped ensure everything went smoothly and quickly. Really appreciate it and great start to our first Offsire post COVID. Highly recommend London House!

Exceptional Service

By Ted F |

My wife, adult daughter and I booked a 1 bedroom suite with a pull-out couch for a 4 night stay at London House. When we arrived I realized that the room was adjacent to the main elevators, which was going to be a problem for my light-sleeping wife. I spoke with wonderful Maria at the front desk who arranged to give us 2 beautiful riverview rooms away from the elevators at no additional cost, then added the cherry on top with a couple of drink vouchers at the bar. Outstanding guest service - we'll definitely be back!

Birthday Trip!

By Darryan |

Recently traveled to Chicago for my birthday and have stayed at The London House several times... Obviously, the hotel is great and the location is perfect. However, that is not what this review is about! I wanted to take the time to point out how amazing Nicole T at the front desk and Hannah at the lobby bar were. They were very sweet , accommodating and definitely made my stay and overall experience more enjoyable. I hope everyone gets to interact with them! Thanks Nicole & Hannah!

Lovely views

Great atmosphere. Had a birthday dinner in Ocean Prime a restaurant housed in London House. Great food and amazing presentation. After that the front office manager Marcus Terry personally escorted us to the famous scenic rooftop where we saw the sunset. 5/5 would do it again.

The Perfect Chicago Hotel

By cuscosteff |

This was our first visit to Chicago and we can say that London House was the perfect choice. The location is absolutely amazing, the staff were so attentive and friendly for our full 5 days. The view from the rooms is spectacular and a great vista to see at the beginning and end of each day Special mention to Corey on the front desk who was super helpful

Fabulous Stay

I loved this place! First, it was a fabulous location and the entrance was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was gorgeous and clean. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Great view, horrible attitude!

By Craig V |

There's a snippy attitude with this place the minute you walk in because they know how great their view is. So get this, their twit for a host, Josh refused to bring us one more chair to our table that was short a seat. When I tried to borrow a chair from some nice diners nearby I was told moving chairs from one table to another was forbidden. What ensued for the next hour was twit Josh refusing to budge on their rules about chairs, even though we had a reservation for the correct number of people and the chair shortage was their mistake. On top of this, he lied to the concierge at our hotel (who arranged everything) that we refused an extra chair. We left. I've never ever had this happen before in a restaurant and am still amazed that it happened at all. Hope Josh got fired over this one.

Loved LondonHouse!!

By Brooke I Reilly |

Absolutely loved our stay!!! Room was spotless, amazing views, comfy bed and so quiet. Location great, not too far from anywhere. Highlight was the bar, we ate and drank there every night, cocktails and wine selection were fantastic as well as the food and the service.

Outstanding Customer Service at the Front Desk

By Janusz |

My wife and I checked in to stay for the weekend. We were greeted by Arturo Garza with a warm smile. He was very polite and helpful. I want to personally thank him for all the wonderful suggestions he made and he ensured our roof and experience was top notch. I hope Arturo gets the recognition he deserves because he is amazing at his job.

Book to go on the rooftop bar

By Happy Traveller |

Having bought champagne and found a table on which there was no "Reserved" sign, we sat and to enjoy our drinks. A few minutes later a server placed a "Reserved" sign on the table without any discussion and shortly afterwards rudely kicked us off the table. The fantastic view from the rooftop bar contrasted sharply with the extreme rudeness of the female staff member. Just goes to show, it's not the the location that makes a place but the people. So if you're going there, it is better to book ahead, otherwise you may be nursing your champagne standing and being jostled.

Wonderful views and pressure from servers

By Jason Z |

This review is for the rooftop bar. I recently celebrated my wife’s birthday and we decided to check out the rooftop bar. We were walk ins and put our name in for a table. When putting in our name, the host made a comment about “taking care of the servers,” financially. We were definitely prepared to tip and wanted to order drinks and dessert. After sitting down at a four top, someone else approached us with waters and stated that he either had four kids and needed money, or implied we were an inconvenience since two tables were left empty and they were losing out on potential income. I’m normally not one to vent online but if management is reading this, I hope that you can address the issue with your staff collectively. We spoke to one of the upstairs hostesses as we were leaving. Sure it’s a great view, but there needs to be more of a positive customer service experience to it as well. My wife walked away with a very negative experience and I’m not entirely sure we will return. Like I said I’m not cheap and would have thrown down some money for a good tip but starting off your first interaction with us that way did not portray your staff in a positive manner.

High praises 👏 🙌 to Tyrice Simmons of London House. He went above and beyond assisting my party with arrangements. His attitude and attention to details were greatly noted and appreciated. Wish more in the industry had his fortitude and dedication to custome satisfaction. Respectfully, Gail

Wonderful Memorial Day Stay at London House Chicago

By peegers |

We came to Chicago for Memorial Day weekend, and stayed at London House. Everyone was so nice… Edward, the concierge, went above and beyond in helping us plan our reservations and was just wonderful! We loved our view, loved our location and loved the rooftop! My friend and I had high tea, which was also a wonderful experience! It was all around a wonderful weekend and we were VERY happy we chose London House for our stay! The location was just absolutely perfect for all of our activities and was in walking distance of almost all of our activities! Will definitely stay there again when we come back!

Not worth it

By sandra R. |

The only good thing about the place is the view ( not our table) We made reservations 3 weeks in advance and we got a table with a wall view . Average food. I would not return.

Great trip

Great place to stay Mark Z and George the bellmen were great and very helpful. Rooms were clean and very close to everywhere we wanted to go. We spent even Uber

Beautiful hotel

My husband and I stayed at the London House for a few days. It was worth it! Their staff was fantastic. Mark, Allen, and Ibrahim were very friendly and made sure our stay was delightful. I would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful hotel not for children.

By LPVacation2014 |

Lovely hotel with beautiful views! However, we had a lot of delays with check-in that were challenging when traveling with small kids. They do not allow any early check-ins which we don’t usually run into as Diamond Hilton members. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone with children. The staff, guests and guests of the events at the hotel clearly don’t appreciate a simple family vacation. I’m sure it would be great for a couple’s getaway. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There was dripping water from the ceiling but the staff was quick to resolve and even offered drink tickets which was great except again, definitely not a scene to be hanging out with kids so our tickets went to waste. The elevators were completely annoying. Again, beautiful hotel with incredible views of the river but disappointing stay as a family visiting downtown Chicago. We visit at least once a year and there are many better hotel options when traveling with children.

Service Recovery, Amazing Views

By MJM |

Upon arrival to the receptionist outside of lift , the young lady needs guest service training, wasn’t welcoming, didn’t explain properly where to go. Next stage was receptionist number 2 at the entrance of the rooftop bar. Was shown to table with quite stunning views of the river weaving the skyscrapers. My reservation ticket I was given said 1945-2100, however my online reservation was until 2130, told by receptionist 2 error on website and told nothing could be done. Asked again, same response, I asked for Manager. All of this was avoidable of correct training was invested in with them team. Gordon, Manager came by, fixed the issues immediately, apologised and was someone who knew importance of guest service and satisfaction. He kindly offered a round of drinks and this added to service recovery. I applaud Gordon and from a few minutes with him, feel he will go onto superior roles in his career. We enjoyed a great evening, location is incredible!

Not Recommended

By Emily M |

I was thoroughly disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. We were sat at a two person table right next to the bar during peak hours. The amount of people that bumped into us or used our table for their drinks was atrocious. This is of course not the restaurant's fault but when we asked for a table change the hostess only offered two other tables STILL next to the crowded bar...We decided to take the table just next to ours. Our waitress was subpar. Barely saw her. We saw the man that gave us water more often than our main waitress. She didn't give us silverware and had to go to the bar to request some. The food was just okay. Not worth the money. Drinks were decent. Service was honestly disappointing. For a 4 star hotel you would take the people working there would be more friendly and more present. If you want to stay at a Hilton hotel, I would recommend spending the extra dollar and stay with Waldorf Astoria. They are LEAGUES beyond the London House. LH can take a note or two from Waldorf.

Lovely view of city from the outdoor bar

By letsgo12 |

Ate here on our last night. While on our boat tour, we saw people on the balcony and decided we needed to get up there at night. Gorgeous hall of lights at the elevator area. The Restaurant was inside with NO windows. We had a decent meal. Except my sons chinese dish had very chewy beef. He couldn't eat it. I like my dirty martini and salad. We walked up to the balcony after dinner for wonderful HOLIDAY SCENES FOR pictures and views down the river. I would love to come in the summer for a long lunch...on the balcony.

The best view of Chicago

By GuillermoMardel |

The best view of CHICAGO, An incredible roof top. Good food, good drinks and excellent service. Incredible

Horrible.

By Rafael D |

Went to the bar and they told me to ask the waitress around the table. Ask one around the table and told me to go to the bar and with attitude. Well trained.

Disappointing

By KathleenMCBL |

Went to London Tower for a celebratory glass of champagne. We sat at a free table and then one of our party went to order drinks. When drinks had been bought a waiter put a reserved sign on the table. We advised her we were already seated and drinks ordered. Servers were incredibly rude not acknowledging our situation and we were required to leave the seats 10 minutes later despite having paid for the over priced drinks. As visitors to Chicago we found the hospitality of this piece a great disappointment as would not recommend it to anyone. There are a lot better places !

Amazing and enjoyable

Scammers: target tourists. FRAUD

By Kassie R |

Scammers. Do not here We ordered a round of drinks abd ended up being charged an additional $400 in fraudulent charges because a staff member ran our card for a dinner bill: we have reached out to Carolyn in management for Nearly 2 months with no recourse. She passed the buck to our credit card company even after she told us a Member of her staff swiped our card for a nearly $400 Restuarant tab when we were across across town eating dinner at an Italian restaurant. We only stopped in for an after dinner drink but our card was ran fir a hill opened over an hour before we even opened our bar tab: The restaurant was on reservation only but besides all the video, photo, obviously fraudulent signatures they reuse to beyond our money Our actual bar tab was $65 and we tipped $10 and they are sticking us with a $375+ restaurant bill with a zero tip as signed by the scammer Repeat DO NOT BE A PATRON OF THIS PLACE

The BEST Hotel With the BEST Staff!

By Sarah |

I was new to Chicago and was sent to the London House by my travel agent. I was here on vacation for seven days. I cannot say enough GREAT things about this hotel! From the food, to the staff, to the cleanliness, and the overall experience....it was UNMATCHED. I travel A LOT and all over the world. This visit was BY FAR my favorite from any trip I have taken. The staff made me feel like family. They were attentive and took care of my mother and I. They always made sure we had transportation, suggested great restaurants, and were so helpful. There was never a day on our trip that we felt we were not taken care of. Mark Z. Fikret was WONDERFUL! I could not say enough good things about him. My mother and I felt like we had known him forever. He was so kind to us and made sure that we were well taken care of for the whole trip. We are already planning another trip to come back and plan to stay at the London House. I sure hope the same staff members will be there when we return. This is the perfect hotel! There are great restaurants, a spa, and the friendliest staff you will ever meet. We had the trip of a lifetime thanks to these individuals!

Views can’t be beat!!

By Newtraveler83 |

I did a lot of research to plan for my trip to Chicago and I NEVER heard about this place, which is such a shame! We almost went to signature lounge instead of London house but I’m so glad we didn’t miss this. Amazing views, great vibe, and food drinks!

Edward...the best concierge

Edward, the concierge, was the highlight of our 39th wedding anniversary. His congratulatory words, his engaging energy and bubbly personality left a huge mark on our hearts and big smiles on our face. Thank you, Edward!

pretty awesome stay.

Great Hotel, great staff.. The view from my room was of the river looking straight at Trump Tower, which incidentally, is really a beautiful structure. The Rooftop view is phenomenal. Don't miss the drinks and appetizers.

Drinks with a view - A +

By Louise Masin Sattler |

This establishment served excellent drinks in their bar area - but the real fun was when we walked to the outside to level for their Christmas display. Plus, they offer outside dining and event space in plastic heated tents. Photo friendly!

Best Hotel in Chicago

By Sofia O |

Best hotel!! The customer service is awesome! Specifically Allen McClendon, he helped me so much with a package that arrived when I was not there. I wanted to give a huge shout out to him because he went beyond to help me so that I can receive it. Really nice customer service and the rooms and everything was spectacular. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chicago.

AMAZING VIEWS OF CHICAGO!!!

By Rachel P |

Everything about this hotel is great. I am a local and know the area well - had to spend a weekend in the city and I was blown away. Loved being a tourist in my own town and enjoy the beauty this city has to offer right from my room. They really have one of the best locations in Chicago. Views are simply breathtaking - both day and night. Do not miss the rooftop - the bar is amazing as well. A very good wedding venue and service is great. Food is amazing and house wine is not to be missed. Robe and slipper are provided. Just book already and enjoy!

Poor Bar Service

By Nicole M |

We visited The London House as part of our 20th wedding anniversary getaway. Initially everything was perfect from the valet service, check in process. We appreciated the initial text messages from staff checking in on us and asking if we needed anything. The room was very clean and nice. Bed and pillows were a little too soft for our liking. Our issues arose when visiting the 2nd floor bar lounge after checking in: our waitress greeted is by telling us we chose seating in a " VIP area" (it was not marked so) and could sit there now, but if we came back later and they were busier we could not sit there. We had drinks which were good and then left. Upon returning from dinner we decided to go there again for a night cap. The only table available (we sat ourselves as there's no hostess) hadn't been cleared yet. We sat for over 30 minutes, no one acknowledged us. My husband approached a bartender and asked for our table to be cleaned and that we wanted to order drinks. The bartender replied, "...I can't help you, tough luck". The bartender then proceeded to talk (not making drinks) to other bar patrons. My husband spoke to staff at the front desk and lobby bar who were apologetic and said management would be contacting us; as of yet no one has reached out. We're very disappointed by the very poor service and attitude we received on such a special occasion. We will not be returning.

Windy City Gem!

Impeccable service and hotel! Every employee I dealt with was friendly, warm and knowledgeable. The bar on the 21st floor offers amazing quality bites and solid cocktails. This is my new place when visiting Chicago. Job well done team LH!!!

Beautiful, perfect location and Great Staff

This hotel was wonderful; Maeve helped me with check in and upgraded me to a better room with a view and higher floor. Beautiful, modern and very clean. I high ly recommend this hotel for any kind of stay - vaca or business. The location is perfect also.

Go here! You won’t regret it.

By Jamie |

Could not have been better! Probably the best service I’ve ever had- Joey was an absolutely amazing server and Luis was a very kind host. The food & drinks were delish & the view was incomparable. Would def recommend and will def return.

Rooftop

By Matt S |

All I can say is that the rooftop deck is incredible, with a great view of a lot of the Chicago area, including the river and lakefront from the one end. The staff here during our event were excellent, and the drinks well made. All in all, it's tough to beet this venue.

Ruined our special day

By Yulia E |

On June 6, 2025 we attended a wedding celebration for my sister at London House. Our table was reserved for 3:30 PM, and we arrived promptly at that time. However, we spent at least 15 minutes downstairs waiting for the elevator. Once upstairs, we proceeded to the restaurant with our 20-month-old twins. Our server was a lady named Lily. I expected that at some point, we would be offered two highchairs for the babies and two regular chairs for us, but that never happened. We ended up sitting at a back table with a "Reserved" sign, as there were no chairs available around that table. Initially, I thought the server would offer us chairs later; however, she seemed to ignore the situation, acting as if it was normal for guests to be seated without chairs. I should note that the restaurant was practically empty, and all other unreserved tables with chairs had "Reserved" signs. When we finally asked Lily about the chairs, she appeared irritated and said she would ask her manager. Lily returned with the answer: no chairs were available anywhere in the restaurant. She suggested that we could sit at the high table (with the babies?!), while other guests could stay at the regular tables. Would you consider this an acceptable solution? I doubt it. At that moment, it became clear that the restaurant wanted us to leave, as they seemed unhappy with providing service. My sister was almost in tears, but no one seemed to care that her special day was being marred. Soon after, my husband asked another server to call the manager. The manager (whose name he did not disclose) was also unprofessional. He did not answer my questions about why we couldn’t have chairs and simply turned around with an angry face. Instead, he brought two chairs for my husband and me, along with two tiny highchairs, but offered no apology. Additionally, they handed us a notice stating that we had to vacate the table by 4:50 PM. However, the nearly 30 minutes we spent waiting for chairs and for the manager to arrive was completely ignored. We traveled from downtown Chicago to celebrate this special day, but the rude behavior of the staff caused us significant stress. If they work in hospitality, I would expect them to know how to properly serve and accommodate guests. I am awaiting a response along with an apology.

Fun

By Derek T |

Our server, Svetlana, was awesome! Great service and food. Only complaint was we had people without tables crowding us the whole night.

Great staff

By Stephen H |

I love this place. Staff is amazing but Nicole at the front desk is amazing! So kind, professional and brightens the mood.

London House Roof Top Restaurant well worth the wait

By Edward D |

Roof top bar and restaurant overlooking the river across from Trump tower. The food is excellent, the views spectacular and there is also a beautiful area where couples can reserve for engagement photos. Great vegan and vegetarian options as well. We had the vegan burger, truffle fries, vegan tacos, chicken skewers, house salad and a vegan Caesar salad. Definitely recommend reservations as it is small with limited outdoor seating. We arrived about 3:00pm without reservations and waited about 30 minutes for an outside table for two. It was well worth it and a great place to visit.

Thank you for great service!

By Brittany S |

Marcus A. ( I hope that’s the right Marcus. He worked on Friday morning) was super helpful! He managed to get me in my room as he saw I was waiting around for a while. His service, politeness and attentiveness really turned my day around. This would be my top choice for a hotel pick from the service alone. Thank you!

Fantastic

By Josh E |

Before we made our stay Marcus Terry reached out about our reservations and was a wonderful host. He convinced us to visit the rooftop bar and it was an incredible experience. We then settled in the lobby bar Beto made us some great drinks to end our night on a high note. The stay was incredible and i will definitely be returning to the London house

The London House Hotel is just wonderful!

By Donna H |

We are having a wonderful time on our first trip to Chicago. Part of the reason we are having such a great time is this hotel! We have found the staff to be so friendly and helpful, the food in the hotel restaurant to be delicious and the hotel to be in the perfect location ! Last but not least we love the Christmas decorations! The staff have reached out to us several times and we can’t say enough about how helpful Marcus the manager has been as well as Neil, Sham and Mathew in guest services! We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Disappointed

By Bekah G |

I stayed at London House for two nights in June and I booked a dinner reservation at the roof top bar for the first night, June 22. Reservations are highly recommended, it was my understanding you can't be seated unless you have a resy, and I booked over a month in advance. When we arrived at the hostess stand to check in, we were asked if we "still wanted our table." We did want our table that we had made a reservation for and shown up for on time...the hostess was not welcoming. If you look at the social media for the rooftop bar, it is all about the view - and the view is truly spectacular. Unknown to us, however, there are 4 tables which are placed against the back wall, not against the railing that looks out over the incredible view. Also unknown to us is that people are allowed to come up to the rooftop and stand around - so any view we might have had was constantly blocked by crowds of people. Additionally, unlike the tables by the railing which were blocked off with ropes, we had nothing to prevent people from standing right next to us at our table, other than asking them to back off. It was not the experience we had been looking forward to or the experience we had been led to believe we would have. The highlight was our waitress, who was very kind and helpful and clearly working hard to give those with table reservations a good experience.

London House Chicago - Windy City Paradise

By luddgang |

London House Chicago Paloma and her team (especially Edgar) made me feel really welcome at the Hilton London House in Chicago. Edgar was able to check me in immediately to a room with 2 beds early that morning which was ideal as I was at Chicago to join the rest of my family to see my son Thomas. I immediately liked Edgar although he was an NFL Raiders fan 🤣🤣🤣). It was like I knew him for all of my life. We were joking with each other but at the same time he was easing my path and provided me with a fantastic room. He does his job really well and provided great customer service without me even having to ask for it. People from Paloma’s team (Paloma, Edgar, Maria) were very responsive and checked in to how I liked my room. I really enjoyed my room, my view on the 14th floor (Room 1419) the hotel, and the hotel’s location. I didn’t get a chance to make it up to the rooftop lounge but ill definitely be staying at this hotel again. Everything in the room was nice. It was quiet and the ice maker and elevators were close by. Choose London House Chicago on your next trip to the Windy City! - Mike Wright (go Steelers 🤣)

They seemed very passionate about getting us in and out as soon as we arrived

By Dirk W |

We were seated at a noisy high top table by the bar. We had dinner reservations so not sure whether they have regular tables or just bar seating. From the moment we arrived they were very eager to get our order give us our bill and get us out of there. The waitress came to our table about 4 times in the first 7 minutes trying to get us to order. She reminded us that we only had the table for 1.5 hours. After we ordered the food came fairly quickly and it was fine. Nothing special - not bad, just fine although priced as much more than just fine. I guess this is a see and be seen kind of place? We were looking for an enjoyable relaxed meal and this certainly isn’t the place for that.

Great view from the rooftop!!

By Vanessa F |

This review is just for the Rooftop that we when to check for Christmas. The work put in the decorations was very nice and good for pictures. The prices of the drinks are a little over the top but understandable for the location of this place which is by the river. Excellent view of the river and skyscrapers. I didn't interact with any of the employees so I don't have a saying on that part. We enjoyed the little time we spend there.

Great value and staff at London House in Chicago

By Max G |

London House is the best value I’ve found in terms of Chicago hotels over the past 6 years of business trips. The team working here take great pride in their customer service. Maeve in particular was very helpful at the front desk from a smooth check in to various questions/suggestions throughout my stay. The lobby is welcoming on the 2nd floor for hosting casual meetings and getting some work done. The restaurants are all excellent. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, and clean. To top it off, there are beautiful views of the river from the roof and rooms. Highly recommend staying here.

This place was recommended, but do not go. It’s crowded, staff is rude, no vibe, soulless. Good view but that’s it.

This place was recommended, but is not worth it. Staff is rude, no music, soulless. Has a very good view but that’s it……..

What an EXPERIENCE!

By R. M. |

This has to be one of my favorite ROOFTOP BARS so far. The views are splendid!!! had burger, which was okay. The truffle fries were pretty good. Our bartender was super awesome and interacted very well with us. She was polite and did her thing. We did have to do reservations before hand. It seems to be a very popular spot due to its beautiful views of the city.

Felt like home

By Getaway778951 |

We just left The London House Chicago and can’t wait to go back! The suite with sofa bed was perfect for our family of 4. The room was clean and well appointed. Fantastic beds (even the sofa bed was comfy). The entire staff was friendly but Mark made a lasting impression. He took our bags the day we arrived so we could explore the city until our room was ready. He struck up a conversation with our son about baseball and they were fast friends. Very bad

One of the nicest rooftop of Chicago, unfortunatly worst service never seen. Really unpolite waitress at the bar and at reception.

Beautiful stay and excellent staff and service.

Let's talk about Mary the amazing conceiage. She was so wonderful and accommodating for my stay. And Wilson for the excellent service as well. I highly recommend this hotel for any reason while staying in Chicago. The views of the city are beautiful and everything is close by! 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Rude bartenders on Friday evening

By Steven S |

This review is about the bartenders on the rooftop. It’s one thing being busy, but being busy with an attitude towards customers is not the way to go. The bartenders were so rude especially Natasha? I believe that’s her name. I had to ask a host for it. She was more focus on her friends and taking shots with them than attending to costumers needs. I hope this review finds someone…we were so excited to visit this place and heard nothing but great things. Total let down

Great tapas

Our lovely server was happy to give us great recommendations, we loved everything we tried: asparagus salad, bar buns, steak-cargot, and crab rangoon. Enjoyed with a lovely bottle of wine, relaxed seating on comfy couches.

Girls weekend getaway!

Loved our time there. I stalked the website for months to get a reservation and thankfully I did. When our party of 3 was seated furthest east we had other people basically sitting at our table. Thankfully our awesome waitress Svetlana moved the other people away. (And stood her ground as one customer was a complete prick to her!). Once we actually had our table to ourselves, it was an awesome view and awesome food and drink. I would recommend that management allow less people up there during the dinner hour as people have tables and want to eat without other being crammed against their tables. There were too many people on the far east side with a table right there. Sveltana was an awesome waitress making great recommendations and was so on top of everything we needed. She needs a raise!! Honestly, she made our night! Martin was also very attentive to what we needed and stopped by many times. He was fun to chat with and was light hearted in conversation. We will be back as the food was great and the view was amazing. Thank you.

I used to be a local

I am writing this review as I sit at the lobby bar, trying to decide if I want to address this with the staff or simply write the review. Decided to write the review since I still have a couple of days left and I don’t want my wife to be uncomfortable. Hotel is nice as a four star but location is what makes it a five. I am writing this review because people are often unaware of there biases. I went to the bar for a drink and was asked what room I was in. I informed the bartender I wasn’t charging to the room but the bartender said they still need to know. I gave them the room number and received my drink. Then I sat and watched several patrons who do not look like me receive service without this question never being asked. I can say I wasn’t treated rudely but definitely treated different and this is just one example there are two more which is frequent since I’ve only been here 24 hours with 48 to go. Hopefully, we can enjoy the last 24.

Nad bar staff behaviour, amplified by front staff attitude.

Cheap and nasty staff. Not befitting of the calibre of the hotel. Staff lets the Hilton brand down. Will give Hilton as miss from now on.

My favorite hotel in Chicago

By Alexis C |

London House is undoubtedly one of the best hotels I have experienced. This was my first visit to Chicago, and as a frequent traveler, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure a seamless stay. Alexis at the front desk delivered outstanding customer service, offering detailed information about the hotel. My room featured an incredible view, and the housekeeping team consistently maintained impeccable cleanliness. Additionally, the food at the hotel’s indoor restaurant was excellent. London House will undoubtedly be my go-to choice for accommodations whenever I visit Chicago.

Great value and staff

Best hotel in Chicago, with a great view from the rooftop bar. And the host was super helpful in check-in process. Highly recommended staying here. 10/10.

Amazing!

Nice and clean. We got a nice river view room! Nicole T was so kind and helpful checking us in. We had a great time. The hotel is really relaxing and free nespresso machine in the room.

Reservations needed

The rooftop bar is cramped, crowded even early on weeknights. Without a reservation, there's SRO at the bar (no shade), or a very small 'viewing area' in one corner. Drinks are insanely overpriced. The view is nice, but there are nicer ones at other rooftop bars.

Book the dining room

Great view and great burgers. You must get a reservation to avoid waiting in line. Book inside dining because you will be allowed to go to the rooftop.

Such a pleasant experience!!!

Was in Chicago for the weekend on a business trip and decided to stop into London House for a couple drinks. Not only were the drinks fantastic, but Ana, the hostess that was working that night was so friendly and we had such a nice conversation. Really made me feel welcome in a new place. I will definitely be returning next time I’m in Chicago!

Awesome!
