No good Service

By Santanasxy |

My husband and I went to dinner,we had a little wait no problem. When the waitress came she took our order. For the drinks we had to wait 15 minute we didn't order nothing fancy but a margarita and a beer. She brought us bread and plates no drinks yet,no napkins no silverware she comes back with my husband salad and drinks,Still no silverware. She comes with the food still no silverware.she ask how's everything I told her everything is fine only if we had silverware. No apology, it took her 10 to 15 minutes to bring us silverware. But when it came time for her check she was on point. My tip to her learn how to be a better waitress. Worst place to eat a couple that came after us eat and left before us I felt like a was racism! Not to mention it the place was dusty,I didn't complaint bcuz my husband didn't let me other wise I would of i hope this help other ppl.place is expensive at that u can barely read u receipt .

Good food, Waite staff with attitudes

By Kathy J |

This is not my normal review, but felt this establishment should be aware. Recently went to celebrate my sisters birthday. Knowing it can harder to wait on tables with more than 4, we all were a happy and polite group when talking with the wait staff. However, this did not seem to make a difference. The staff came with big attitudes. We we in no rush and enjoyed our time together. When our meals came, the waitress offered a dish of steak to my brother, who politely advised, he ordered chicken, only to be told he ordered steak. He said he does not eat steak and was then advised she would have to put in another order. The same waitress then went to the opposite end of the table and offered a strip steak to my niece and she said she ordered the filet. The waitress told her “you ordered this” she said no she didn’t. The waitress then walked off. Another waiter return with the proper dishes. Here’s the kicker- we ordered dessert and NOW the waitress must have taken happy pills, cause now she’s smiling and being pleasant. Nah! She wants a good tip! We did leave a good tip, a whole lot better then she really deserved, because that’s their livelihood. My advice, fake it and you’ll make a better wage.

Great Flat Iron Steak

By Joatmon |

Went with wife for 24th wedding anniversary. Excellent flat iron steak, not so excellent rice. Wanted something lighter than potato. Lesson learned. To many red bell peppers in the pilaf.

Great food but sometimes Great service is a hit or miss

By ROCHELLE J |

Very nice restaurant with great food. Eat here quite often. However, sometimes the service is not so good depending on which server you get. But overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Good!

We had a pretty good experience! Service was very good! The waiter was very friendly and took care of us right away! Meals were made to order and fresh! Overall nice experience!

Visited a few times. The food is usually good, but the service is lacking. On our last visit, we kept getting the wrong food or not prepared correctly. The alleged management was of no use

Terrible Management means lost customer!

By Greg G |

To start I am a regular at this particular Longhorn on the Boulevard in Philadelphia. My wife and I along with our grandson were hoping for a nice meal on Sunday evening 12-17-17. Upon arrival we were told a 5 minute wait and handed a buzzer. The manager had addressed us and we had taken a seat. In the meantime 4 other families came in and were seated right away. Upon addressing this with the hostess we were told that we would be seated next, meaning additional wait. The manager was at this point waiting tables and we had asked to see him and promptly blown off. The service depending on who you get is normally fine. The manager treated us like we did not matter as well the hostess. This particular LongHorn restaurant has been going down hill as to cleanliness as well as eating dinner with tiny flies on the back wall that seem to live there full time. Sad that a regular customer got brushed off and as we left there last evening vowing not to return. Greg Grosso

good steak

By texasallan |

The restaurant was clean and service is good. My steak was cooked as ordered, the filet was tender and tasty. On par with other longhorne steakhouses that I have eaten at in Texas.

Longhorn Phila

By JosephC316 |

We go there often as a family or just me and my wife. Steak is great but we had lamb chops on our last visit in the past week. It was also very good. Go early on Sat. for supper, it gets very crowded.

been there before

By acaRich |

I went sort of off hours and the place was a little busy The waitress was great but the food and drinks wasnt so good. My food came cold and the steak was grisly and tough the lobster tail was pretty good and was a little tangy I liked it that way the salad was ok but they dont offer much in the way of dressings. The drinks was long pour but I think t was short on booze. I doublt Ill be going back there again.

Longhorn For Steak

By BFAW2 |

I arrived around six pm for a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night and the place filled up rather quickly. The waitress was excellent, she was very busy but always had time to get us another drink or some extra butter. I started with the house salad which was above ordinary and the blue cheese dressing was the best I have had in quite a while. I had the Rib Eye steak, not the monster Cowboy Ribeye but the smaller version. It was cooked perfectly, excellent taste and seasoning. The creamed spinach and macaroni and cheese were delicious, the warm bread and butter wonderful, and the petals of breaded onion were different and tasty. I didn't have room for desert but will be back to try the Key Lime pie. I know it is a chain but the food and service were above par for any steakhouse. Prices are more than fair and the portions are large. Give it a try...early! The only drawback was the screeming/crying kids from time to time.

Not bad for a chain steakhouse...

By fred e |

We have visited here several times. The service is always good. Sometimes they have dinner specials, but not this visit. The warm bread is always good. Their house salad is also good. I had the renegade sirloin, it was ok. My wife had the Napa chicken and enjoyed it.

Horrible service

By Kathi R |

We walked out after waiting at the bar for 10 minutes for a drink. It wasn't crowded there were at least 10 tables empty and there was a 25 minute wait! Don't waste your time service sucked

Time to come back to a forgotten a renewed appreciation of a forgotten place!

By ShirleyE601 |

Looks like they renewed their menu. We stopped for lunch on our way home from downtown Philly when we discovered our fav restaurant next door (Famous Dave's is no longer open, sad) so we went to Longhorn and had a very good lunch. They now have a lunch combo that was perfect, I had chili and a chicken sandwich, my hubby had the French onion soup n chicken and my son had a salad and burger. We all enjoyed our selection and we appreciate the good service we got. I will start going back again to our local LongHorn and hope the service and food is equally good. I remember they use to have cream soups which I am not a fan and they use to have onion soup and not French onion so this is something to reconsider. We will stop here on our next trip to the city.

Flat iron steak

By Yarsemin |

Came here with my husband to get a nice juicy steak, unfortunately they way waitress described it wasn't the thing that I got , it had no taste no smell except like a boiled meat, really disappointed :-( maybe if I would"ve get different type of steak it would be better but after this experience don't even want to try to go back :-( and of course the atmosphere wasn't pleasant either, was dirty everywhere , napkins on a floor , really crowdy, not the steak house that I was expecting 👎

Good and bad.

By Robert B |

We went there around 2:30 pm on a Saturday and the place was almost empty. However, about twenty of us were waiting to get seated. A couple in their seventies and disabled asked why they had to wait and they said they had no servers. Well, who does that? So things started out bad. The service was decent and so was the food. Just no reason to make people wait like that. I will not go back unless I get a gift card or someone else pays. I should have said something to management my bad on that.

DUMPSTER FIRE DINNER!

By 49hotrod |

My wife & I wanted to take our family out for a nice holiday dinner this past Saturday night. We were a party of 7 incl. our daughter, son-in-law 2 grandsons & our niece. I called at 5:15 to see what the wait time was for a party of 7. I was told 45 minutes so off we went to Longhorn and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally were seated at 6:45 after a 90 minute wait. I realize it was a busy Saturday night but if you tell people it will be a 45 minute wait a 90 minute wait is really not acceptable. Little did we know the worst was yet to come. We were seated & given 3 menus for 5 adults?? (the kids had their own menus). After a few minutes our waitress came to take our drink orders. After almost 15 minutes our drinks arrived & she took our food orders. My son-in-law & I each ordered an appetizer for the table & everyone ordered their entrees. Our waitress left saying she would be right back with bread. After another 20 minutes or so it is now 7:30. We have been seated for 45 minutes & all we have are drinks. To our left is a party of 8 that was seated about 10 minutes after us. They have bread but no drinks (same waitress). I finally see our waitress & ask for bread. A few minutes later she brings bread & says our food will be out shortly. About 10 minutes later here come several people bringing our food. Yay! But wait...these are our entrees! Where are our appetizers we ask? They have no idea. Apparently our waitress has joined the witness protection program as she is nowhere in sight leaving these two poor souls to bear the brunt of our frustrations. Not only are the appetizers MIA, my wife's salad is nowhere to be found & out of 5 adult entrees only one is as ordered. My wife's loaded sweet potato had only butter, the steakhouse mac & cheese side my son-in-law & I ordered are missing & my daughter had no entree at all! We also had no silverware or napkins! Finally the manager came over to apologize & we let him know in no uncertain terms what we thought of the service. My daughter eventually got her dinner, at no charge, the appetizers & drinks were removed from the bill & a 25% discount was applied to entire check. We will never set foot in this restaurant again.

Delicious

I came from out of town for a football game. We ate there on a Saturday night before the game. Great service and great food. Had to sit at the bar while we waited for a table which was fine. We had a few drinks and appetizers. Everything was delicious and our server was great. Our server had a good sense of humour and it was a good atmosphere. Next time we're in Philadelphia we will definitely return to this longhorns!

Does not hold a candle to Texas Roadhouse

By Patricia D |

My expectations were high as we love the Roadhouse. Does not compare, chicken did not taste real, salad dressing very strong, and mashed potatoes were boxed.

My order was supposed to be ready at 6pm but I didn't receive the food until 6:45pm. Bartender acted was no help

By Regine D |

It was as full but I ordered takeout. All my sides were burnt. The Sprimp was burnt also. The steak and ribs were good. We went to 555 City Ave in Bala Cynwyd.

First visit in a long time, pleasantly surprised!

By Ann B |

This was a spur of the moment lunchtime visit with my husband. He had the shaved prime rib sandwich & lobster and crab bisque soup lunch combo and I had the combo lobster and crab bisque soup with the strawberry and walnut salad. He said everything was tasty but the soup was a bit too spicy for him. I loved both the soup and salad. Our serve was pleasant and helpful. Since it’s in our part of Philly we will be returning.

Hands Down the best Burger in Town!!!!!

By Kim B |

I'm a newcomer at the Longhorn Steakhouse. My first visit, the baby back ribs fell off the bone with each bite. Then to top it off we had Ericka the waitress who should be used as an model example to all restaurant chains. She was superb!!! to say the least. Second visit, we had the steakhouse burger!!! Please just don't take my word for it. Another person in our party had the swordfish steak. Scrumptious!!. Thoroughly enjoyed this place. I love food prepared well/right!

Longhorn Steakhouse

By missimin |

I go to Longhorn often for dinner and have never had a disappointing meal. Their bread is so good they should sell it for takeout. Their steaks are always perfectly done and flavorful. I also highly recommend the Redrock Grilled Shrimp, their parmesan encrusted asparagus appetizer and the stuffed mushroom appetizer. I only had lunch there once and was disappointed in the beef sandwich but if I go again for lunch I would try one of their delicious salad creations. The staff is always friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Skip Outback, Longhorn knows steak.

I always go there with my wife. Our favorite is the lamb chops, but that are not available all the time. The steak is their specialty, cooked to order. We get gift cards for this place for all our birthdays and Christmas.

Good Steaks with OK Service

By WorldPartner |

Dinner for two on a Saturday evening just ahead of the crowd. I ordered a NY Strip Steak which was cooked as ordered and seasoned nicely. My dining partner gad a Ribeye and Lobster Tail combination which he enjoyed. The service was OK but the waiter was not particularly attentive since we had to constantly try to catch his eye for additional service.

If I want well done.....make it well done!!!!

By tia b |

On Tuesday March 19th, 2024 I visited your location at 1001 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA 19064. I was there between the hours of 7pm-8pm. I ordered the lamb chops with a side of mash, and a side of pilaf rice. When i ordered my lamb chops I asked for them to be well done. I was told that the chef prepares the lamb one way and that it would be brought out medium rare. I asked the water why can't I order my food the way I normally would at any steakhouse. He then stated that the lamb is prepared the way they like it due to the fact that when customers order well done lamb it dries out, and then most customers send it back. So I surrendered and went ahead and ordered the lamb. Well low and behold the lamb came out. It did not come out medium rare. The inside of the lamb was bright red. It was not pink. To make a long story short My husband and I asked for the check and we left. The waiter did not apologize for the lamb chops didnt even come out as he said they would. I did not eat the amb. I had to take the lamb chops home and cook them myself. This was unacceptable. Yous guys promote yourself as a steakhouse it needs to be one. I understand that the lambchops are a promo right now and perhaps maybe the chef is tired of preparing them all day long but you do not take that out on a customer. This has left a sour taste in my mouth and i will post this review to make others aware that longhorns gives you what they want you to have.....point blank..

New Tradition!

By sharonl4U2 |

I began celebrating my birthday at this location a couple of years ago. This year was the first year I order to go. I LOVE THE FOOD! But I prefer the dine in service. It was a challenge ordering online, I wasn't able to order everything I wanted (seemed to be a site issue) and there was a bit of a wait to be acknowledged and then given my order, which was complete and correct. I intend to return but will try to make provisions to dine in if possible.

My girlfriend introduced me to steak. Ever since then, I fell in love! I love the Wild West shrimp. I get it every time I go

Lunch at Longhorn

By JosephC316 |

Large family gathering and some had lunch and some had entrees with an appetizer. We took up a large table, but it was a bit chilly inside.

Great steaks and service. Read the hint.

By Bob B |

We both ate the bone-in rib eye steak. It was excellent and perfectly cooked. Our waitress, Colleen, was great. . . friendly and efficient. The decor is typical steak house/western - a bit noisy, but that was expected. Hint: they do not take reservations but we called 45 minutes ahead so they put our name on the list so we only had to wait 10 minutes rather than the 25 minutes, if we had just walked up.

Birthday Dinner

By Chrissie M |

This past Friday, July 7th, 2023, my daughter took me to Longhorn Steakhouse for my Birthday Dinner. It was fantastic. Matt, our server was fabulous. He took our order, made sure to get the number sent to me in my email to get my Birthday Dessert and had our drinks and bread out to us very quickly. BTW, love your bread. First time in years that I ordered Steak and Lobster, and OMG it was delicious. I ate the entire plate. Normally I always bring home some of my meal. For dessert I got the Lava cake with ice cream and enjoyed every bit of it. Matt checked on us, refilled drinks and did it in a way that was not intrusive at all. He was nice enough to take a picture of my daughter and I together and was all around kind and informative. Great Job. Will be back for sure.

Excellent steak and good service

By JMB247 |

Visited here on a business trip and have to say both the staff and food were pretty. The service was quick and attentive and I had the 10oz Fillet steak which was cooked as requested and was moist and tender as you would expect, came with a large baked potato which was again cooked to perfection I would definitely go again

Great as usual

We did call ahead seating before arriving. When we arrived we were seated right away. I ordered the mango salmon with a sweet potato. Fast service and great food a usual.

Late night dinner

By 2S2P2L |

Late Sunday night after finding many other restaurants already closed TripAdvisor said longhorns would be open for 15 minutes. So we tried Longhorns. It took a few minutes for the waitstaff to decide who would serve the latecomers. Because we just wanted a little something to hold us over i ordered a simple hamburger and my friend order the bison meatballs. A few (ok more than a few) minutes later the waiter returned to let us known sorry no bison meatballs. So changed the order to French onion soup. So we were both fed and nourished. Thanks for letting two hungry guys get a good meal late Sunday night.
