Food has little flavor…sole was not cooked through, tasted like eggs which it was dipped in. The only thing seasoned at all was the lemon sauce. Potatoes were reheated, veggies no flavor. Salad dressing on side was almost dried up & stiff. Husband had linguine mare musso…it too had not taste. We could not finish our meals. The ambiance here is a strip mall pizza store, complete with loud phone ringing, chef pounding out chicken, etc. it is strictly a food only place, with no alcohol served, which is ok, but does not help the Italian ambiance. Would not go back.

Visited this restaurant in early June and was very impressed. I enjoy going to local restaurants rather than eating on the strip and what a fabulous find of a restaurant. Food taste was out of this world and portions were very generous. Ordered a Caesers salad and a veal parm. Very impressed with both. Brought our own wine which was acceptable to the location as they don't have a liquor license. Reservations are required. I will definitely be going back the next time I visit Las Vegas

This is one of our favorite restaurants in LV. It is a small, quirky little restaurant with seating for about 25 pp. in a strip mall. Bring your own bottle of wine with no corkage fee (as they don't have a liquor license) and be amazed at the most delicious Italian food outside of Italy! And so inexpensive we always look twice at the bill because it is so reasonable! Not to be missed!

The food & service was excellent! I had veal! Like butter so tender ! Veggies were so yummy & fresh ! Just comment place needs to be cleaner ! I would visit again

Went on a Saturday night with 2 other couples. Very small but fantastic food and at a great price. Didn't count the number of tables but were only about 10. Each dish was prepared fresh by the owner/chef. My wife and I will be back multiple times by ourselves. Hard to spot from Desert Inn as it is in a strip center behind Al Philips Cleaners on SW corner of DI and Sandhill.

We visited this Italian Restaurant again & the food was as delicious as we had the first time. The Chef & server are the owners. Their food was better than what we had in any other pricey Italian restaurant. The sole fish, seafood pasta in marinara sauce & pizza was super delicious! The freshly baked breads served at the start of a meal was crunchy & so tasty! You can easily fill up with this! The servings are huge! A salad order feeds 3-4 people easily & so good that you want to eat more! You can’t miss out on the desserts of cannoli w home made filling and tiramisu. There will always be left over to take home! Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an authentically super delicious Italian food! Best to call for reservations since it is a small place & gets crowded all the time.

Tonight was our second time dining at Los Olivos. The first time my family and I came here we used a website that randomly selects a restaurant for you. We use this when we can't decide where to eat. To be honest I wouldn't have come here otherwise. It's a small unassuming Mom and Pop restaurant. Not in a bad way mind you. But in a time of bigger is better, where restaurants are brands. Small feels authentic.

Hesitate to write this review as it may increase the number of patrons at this restaurant. Not fancy in any way, just great food in a small setting. The food is over the top and the prices are very moderate. Fast becoming our favorite stop!!! Open for dinner and Iwould call forreservations.

We were looking for a restaurant away from the strip and near our hotel and found this amazing restaurant. We went based on reviews and we love Italian food. We are usually disappointed by comparing to our favorite Italian restaurant 35 miles from our home near Kansas City. Los Oliva’s comes in a close 2nd and we have eaten Italian in lots of different states, even in Italy. We ordered the fried calamari which was tender and delicious. We had chicken Marsala which came with some wonderfully cooked fresh vegetables & fried potatoes. It was all so yummy. We also had Lobster ravioli which was the best ever. Not only were the ravioli’s stuffed full with filling there were a lot of lobster pieces in the sauce. My husband & I always eat half our entrees & then switch. We both gave everything there a rating of 10. I looked on Yelp & Trip Advisor which both showed different opening times. One said 2:30, one said 4:00. I called about 3:15 they were open and said come on over. It was starting to fill up by the time we left, so I would say make reservations if you can just to make sure. If you like good food and reasonable prices this is the place!

Oh my gosh, this has been my go-to Italian restaurant for several years. They have established a steady clientele. No wonder the food is excellent. I love their eggplant. It comes with pasta on the side, but I'm diabetic, so they always allow me to replace the pasta with veggies, no potatoes. I really appreciate it! My friends and I know there may be a wait even with a reservation, but I think this tells you how good the food is. It's a small business. It's run by the husband (chef) and wife (server), and their son helps. The food is hand-made at the time of the order. Bring your own wine. They give you wine glasses immediately, no corkage fee at this time. The prices are excellent and the portions are huge. Crab cakes are a favorite, and mozzarella sticks. Yummy! My friends and I try to ho there once a month. It's a 30-minute drive one way but so worth it. Love, love love!

I don't want to give this place away to others . I see in other reviews regarding this restaurant some feel the same as I do . I've been in the restaurant game for + 40 years . Shhhhhhh . Is that how you spell it . I have to give this place there PROPS . I grew up with Italian relatives just on the other side of the Hudson River . I want to apologize to Los Olives for not telling everyone . I do promise to tell all the GOOD ONES. Ask for ANYTHING......I bet the chef can make it .

Coming from the east coast, pizza here is never quite as good. This pizza crust was fine the tomato margherita topping not not. The chicken dishes were good, about a 4. The pastas may be a 5 and that may be what brings the rating up.

I don't know why I should tell anyone about this restaurant......I don't feel as if I want to let others know....a secret spot.....it's INCREDIBLE. The couple that runs it needs to be commended for the wonderful experience they give to others. I can't wait to return and we just finished our dinner.

This is one of the most wonderful restaurants in a city full of wonderful restaurants! Albino and Irma are gracious hosts and the food is incredible. They hosted my daughters wedding reception and catered to 20 people effortlessly. Everything is freshly prepared, even down to the hammering of the veal and chicken. Albino is an amazing chef who obviously uses only the freshest of ingredients in his preparation and has an acute attention to detail. I would thoroughly advise going here. A family run business that specializes in fine Italian cuisine at a reasonable price is hard to find in Vegas. Hooray for the unexpected. los Olivios is a gold mine of great food. I can’t wait for our next visit!

Very small place, regular looking ambiance but the food was great! It’s all cooked to order and the ingredients were fresh. The kitchen is right in the dining room area so you could actually see the cook preparing the food. The portion sizes were huge, almost family size and the prices were inexpensive. It was six of us and for the most part, everyone ordered something different. We ordered Egg Plant Parmesan, Veggie Lasagna, 3 Meat Lasagne, Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo, Veggie Pizza and a salad. All of it was great! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

There are only 7 tables in this restaurant so I suggest making a reservation. We discovered this restaurant about 3 yrs ago and it is so good. The food is so delicious and so reasonably priced . Highly recommend the chicken parm and the gnocchi. Large portions and everything is homemade. The restaurant is family owned and run. Everyone is so nice.

We had heard about this restaurant through social media and decided to give it a try. First thing to know, it is small 7 or 8 tables and a sign on the door that says reservations only. We had made reservations. I will admit. You are a little underwhelmed when you walk in. Plain diner brown tables, closely packed, with the kitchen behind a counter. But as you see the food come out, any misgivings go away as dish after fish looks amazing. We ordered the calamari because it looked so good. It was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered a ceaser salad that was big enough for 3 of us to share. Then came the entrees. My husband ordered the linguini with clam sauce. Portions are huge, but beautifully presented. Even the clams were beautiful, porcelain white with a black Cresent moon. Our friend had the seafood pasta that was so good he managed to eat every bit of his huge portion. I had the chicken marsala, amazingly delicious and half of it came home with me. They do not have a bar, but allow you to bring your own alcohol. They serve coke products and start you out with warm bread and a pesto sauce. The family that runs it are so nice and you get to support a local business. We will definitely be back several times.

What can I say? I'm a foodie through-and-through (and no jokes about my waistline, please...) We tried this place based on the reviews and the economical prices, and boy - were we ever glad we went! We started with the Calamari, and it was an oracle of things to come: exceptionally light, tasty and crisp, not greasy at all, with a light and tasty sauce. I was hooked. I had the eggplant Parmesan and it was one of the finest I have ever tasted outside of Italy. During my last "big night out" celebration dinner in Las Vegas, we went to the fabled "club" that everyone raves about and I ordered the same thing. But the Los Olivos version of the dish was light years above theirs, and it was about 1/2 the price. Plus, the portion was so huge, it easily made two meals. My brother's friend - a senior lady who grew up in Vegas during the 'Rat Pack' era, judges every Italian restaurant by their spaghetti and meatballs. "If they can't get the basics right, they're not cooking real Italian," she says, drawing on knowledge all the way back to her East-coast upbringing. One bite in, and she was totally blown away by the dish, especially the monster-size meatballs. And of course, being a value-conscious senior, she was happy that she'll stretch three meals out of the monster-sized portion they served! She commented that it was easily one of the best she had tasted in Vegas - and we're talking all the way back to the "Rat Pack" years! Another of our party had the Spaghetti Bolognese, and ate every bite of the massive portion he was served. I didn't know that was humanly possible given the gargantuan size of the dish, but he couldn't stop eating it - it was THAT good. The key thing I'll say about the food at Los Olivos is that it was served exceptionally HOT, temperature-wise, which is a rare commodity these days - but totally correct from a foodie perspective. If it's served too hot to immediately put in your mouth, it's arriving at the correct serving temperature, (ask a chef; they'll tell you the same thing.) This restaurant is most certainly the lifelong dream of chef Albino Alcala and his wife, who is the waitress. I don't know where he apprenticed, but from a foodie's perspective I can tell you that it was with a master chef who taught him well. Every dish we ordered - down to the authentic and delicious Canoli at end of the meal - was off-the-charts good. Don't let the Mexican-sounding name deter you: this truly is the real deal: authentic Italian food made with the finest ingredients, all prepared with amazing attention to detail that you rarely find anymore. And don't let the tiny store-front location stop you, either. The fancy tourist traps on the Strip have nothing on the food served at Los Olivos: it will remind you of what you've been missing all these years, but either didn't know it or forgot how good food can really taste! The food reminded me a lot of the old "Off the Strip" Italian restaurant when they were a little hole-in-the-wall place off Southern Highlands Parkway. They got "discovered", and now they're a huge place in the LINQ (at twice the price they used to be.) And just like them, I can assure you that once the word gets out about Los Olivos, you won't be able to get a table. So go now. Just do it. Your friends and family will call you a genius at picking restaurants, just like mine did.

Los Olivos is run by a very nice husband and wife team, there son also helps out as a server.Been here many times.Reservations only. You can bring your own wine, there is no corkage fee.Had an early dinner here 6/18/25 with a friend. We ordered fried calamari for an appetizer it was excellent,as was the sauce. We ordered lasagna and chicken parm for entrees with sides of penne pasta and marinara sauce. The portions were very generous and everything was delicious. We had tiramisu for desert and it was amazing!I Went back the next day on the spur of the moment by myself around 3:00 and was able to get a table.I ordered a Caesar salad, side of penne with marinara, fried calamari and a tiramisu to go.Everything was excellent as usual.

There were 6 of us willing to walk on the wild side, searching for out of the way gems that would be overlooked by the average tourist. As locals, we go by word of mouth and online reviews. SO- to Los Olivos we went. Their only outlet is on E. Desert Inn Rd and Pecos. A tiny place, about 10 tables and a bit hard to find, it is a small speck of gold amidst a ton of iron pyrite. It is a real good Italian restaurant. The value you get here is like no place else. The chicken Parm I had was great, side of spaghetti, delicious hot rolls for $15. The house side salad was delicious and only $5 extra. My co-diners had different dishes, linguine and clams, the meatballs and spaghetti, various chicken & veal dishes were all cooked well. It’s an open kitchen so I knew my dish would be tender as I heard my chicken beingpounded with care. Go for the food, don’t expect much else, the friendly diners converse because the tables are close and they came there for the same reason you did! Our group all pledged to be back - soon.

In Vegas for the Nascar races we needed a good Italian restaurant to finish off our day. Our trusty Trip Advisor pointed us to Los Olivos so away we went. We did have short wait and one server and cook looked like a problem. Boy, was I wrong! The food was amazing, the server very efficient and pleasant. We could not have asked for more than the take home containers for food too good to not take home! One of the best lasagnas I have ever had, even after going to Italy last year on vacation...

If you're in the mood for a romantic dinner, dimly lit room, red velvet banquets, candle lit tables and soft piano music in the background...forget this place. If, however, you're in the mood for some Italian food that will knock your f-ing socks off...immediately head to Los Olivos for some of the best (if not THE best) Italian food in the valley. Yes...it's noisy: the phone rings, the chef hammers out a cutlet in the kitchen mere feet from your table, and yes it is located in a non-descript strip mall. WHO CARES. The food is fantastic. We started with the anti pasta: a generous mix of cheeses, salamis, and other meats: well balanced and flavorful. I had the Veal Marsala: divine. The veal was tender anf flavorful, and I could have eaten the sauce by the bowlful. My wife had the angel hair pasta with basil sauce. So simple and yet spectacular. The lemon cake for dessert was perfect: light, tart and not too sweet. If you are a foodie you'll know you're being well cared for. Make a reservation as there are only about 6 tables. Service was friendly, food arrived piping hot. Prices were extremely reasonable (especially compared to Strip which would be 3X as expensive). No liquor license, so bring your favorite wine to open and share (no corkage fee). Portions were very large. Easily could share entrees. I will be going back.

We were looking for an Italian restaurant that was somewhat reasonably priced compared to others in Las Vegas. We found this place on search and decided to give it a try. This turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant is family owned and the food is excellent. I highly recommend this establishment to all looking for a memorable experience.

This was an amazing experience. We heard about this place from a friend. He was right. Amazing food, friendly atmosphere and huge portions. Bring your own wine. Reservations only so call ahead it is a small place.

My wife was looking for a particular dish...Cioppino...when she found this establishment. Dont let the location, (in a strip mall), fool you, this place was awesome. Limited seating in an intimate setting. For our appetizer, we selected the Antipasti... wow... just wow. So full of flavor. My wifes Cioppino was in a large bowl stuffed full of shrimp, mussels, clam, white fish and calamari. My Sole Francese...let's just say that the fish comes out on its on plate (vegetables on the side) and was bathed in the best white wine lemon caper sauce I've ever had. Our daughter chose the Gnocchi Sunrise with Chicken. Absolutely incredible. Our server, Irma, was very pleasant and attentive. FYI, they do not have an alcohol license but they do allow you to bring your own wine bottles. My advice, call ahead and reserve a table. We lucked out that there was still 2 tables left when we arrived. Skip the high prices of those bigger restaurants on the strip and go here.

Fabulously delicious Italian food, all made from scratch. Don't let the exterior of this restaurant found in a strip mall fool you, the food is incredible, you get very large portions, and it is very reasonably priced. There is a reason why this restaurant is one of the highest rated eateries in all of Vegas, it is well worth the drive. Highly recommend, the quality does not disappoint.

Simple little spot serving outstanding Italian food. The proprietors couldn’t be nicer!! If you want wine, BYOB. They don’t We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

My fiance and I were visiting in town and wanted to go to some place different so we googled good review restaurants and landed on this one. When we 1st pulled up to the place, we thought it looked rather small, we were not sure that it would be what we were looking for, but we decided to take a chance. I am so glad we did. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality, freshness, and taste of the dinner we ordered. First, out came the complementary bread, hot out of the oven, with a home made dipping sauce. Out of this world, i would have made my dinner out of this alone. Then came our entrees - chicken parm for him, ziti for me. Cannot rave enough about the flavor, and when we were finished and got the bill, we couldn't believe how inexpensive. We spent more on breakfast than what are dinner was. Highly recommend, support your local restaurant!

Our friends raved about this place and last night we celebrated Patty's birthday there with Freddie and Stevie. What a great find! We had a wide selection of dishes and everything was marvelous. The Sole Francese was out of this world and very inexpensive. Owners Albino and Irma were so pleasant and friendly. We can't wait to go back. If you live on the East side of town be sure to try this great Italian restaurant. Strip quality with very reasonable prices. Seating capacity for about 30 so don't forget to make reservations.

My brother brought us here to try this Italian restaurant. It was a great find of an eatery! The owners were very friendly and attentive. A very small family run restaurant but the food was super delicious! Authentic Italian food. We tried the seafood pasta, meat lasagna, rack of lamb, fish dish, calamari and pizza. They were all great food choices. The servings are huge and everyone of the dinding guests brough home their left overs. I would highly recommend this place if one prefers authentic italian cuisine.

Great family run restaurant. All staff members were very welcoming and with our large group of 6 we all had different meals and not one was a disappointment. Great work with fantastic meals.

This is one of those hidden gem restaurants off the strip. Only seats maybe 20 people, but the food is outstanding. Better than most of your high-end restaurants in the casinos and on the strip.
Excellent portions, but slow service (therefore 3 stars)
Other reviews have said it, but it is worth repeating. The food is great, but do not come here if you are in a rush. We stood for about 15 minutes staring at an open table for two. Waitress never made eye contact with us to sit down, but she was extremely busy. We had just gotten off the airplane. After about 5 minutes, I just ask her for a glass of water for my wife, as she was dehydrated. She said OK, but she did not get anything to drink for another 15 minutes. Finally we sat down and she took our drink order. We sat another 10 minutes and she never took our food order. We were just about to leave and the cook came out and took our order. I had the chicken parm which was excellent and my wife had the eggplant parm (which she liked). I understand they are trying to keep costs down, but a place like this needs another person to wait on customers. I would not go back unless it was either early or late in the evening.
