We were a party of 12 out for a night of fun. We enjoyed pitchers of margaritas and chips/dips. My combo platter of chicken taco and chile relleno was excellent. I was especially impressed with the fresh grilled flavor of the chicken. Overall, this is the best Mexican food I have ever had.

The food was good. The salsa was mild and tasty. The chips were fresh but were unusually thick and therefore a person could not eat many without ruining your appetite for the food. The menu is extensive, with all of the typical Mexican choices. The food is prepared well and nicely presented. The place is large and a little dark with several rooms, and both times I have been there, once for lunch and once for dinner, I asked for a booth, and they marched me all the way through several rooms and the bar to the very last room in the place. In summary, I would go there again. If you enjoy the bar scene, this is a very popular gathering place, but may not be 1st choice for old guys like me who treasure a quiet meal.

Run by the same family since the late 60's, with outstanding food and the best chip-n-dip you'll ever see. A Chatsworth tradition worth waiting for...and you will wait to be seated even though it's huge.

Best bean dip in town!! This bean dip must be from Mars cuz its Outta This World!!! Margaritas are also really good (so I hear)...real mean only drink beer. The service is pretty rude and the enchilada sauce is bland, but after some beers and more bean dip, It's a Four Star Place Ya'll....

Myself and 5 friends stopped at Los Toros for dinner on our way home from North Hollywood. This place was not too far from the 118 Freeway and someone mentioned they had great food. We called ahead for a reservation at 7. We actually got there at 6:45 and the table was ready. By the way, they have valet parking for free so that was nice. The place is very large as it seems they have taken over a strip mall type building and have kept growing. We all had various plates of food since they have a large selection and they have the usual dishes and the not so usual dishes. I had the Mexican Omelet that had Chili Colorado inside of the omelet. It was very good and not too large of a plate that I couldn't finish it. This is a dish that I don[t normally see at Mexican restaurants. My wife told me that her chicken mole was very good also. They have a lot of room, many tables, lots of waiters (so you don't have to wait for an overworked waiter). I would recommend the place.

Actually, every night is fun and festive at Los Toros! Its a family owned community hang out with a small town, welcoming feel. Great drinks especially Margaritas served with very memorable/delicious bean dip, guacamole, salsa and chips. They make the guacamole at your table just the way you like it from all fresh ingredients. The food is not for the faint of heart as its not low calorie or healthy for the most part. Our favorites are the chicken mole (mole is made the old fashioned way and very tasty), fish tacos, and if you're really hungry the burritos are hardy and tasty too. This is an old fashioned Mexican restaurant where entrees are substantial and served with rice and beans and pico de gallo at your request. An evening at Los Toros is a great way to celebrate an occasion or just hang out with your favorite people. Reasonably priced, always a wait, and the atmosphere is comfortable but definitely loud so be in the mood for a fiesta when you arrive.

You can't find a better place to eat in the valley. Excellent Mexican food. Family run. Great service! It has so many rooms that there's almost never a long wait. You can also make reservations. Lots of birthday parties going on there. I always get the chicken tacos. My favorite menu item there. They always bring chips & dips when you sit down. Great bar! Margaritas are the most popular. When in the Valley, this is where I always head to. They have parking service if you can't find a place to park. There's usually spots to park, though, across Devonshire on the street.

Their enchiladas are great and so is their bean dip.

We went here for a friends birthday celebration so the food was preset on choices. We tried Quesadillas, burritos and taquitos. The Margaritas were the best (strong) and are actually pink in color. The place is pretty big but a bit of a maze. Our party was in a room that involved lots of turns to get to. Even on a Sunday afternoon it was quite busy. We had a great time, There were a few different bars and many rooms thru out the place. They did have valet parking.

There server suggested the fajitas and they did not disappoint. We ordered steak and chicken fajitas to share and they were great. The guacamole was very good as well.

Really loved Los Toros. The atmosphere was energetic and positive, service warm and friendly, food fresh and delicious. Canât wait to return next time we visit America from London!

The food was excellent both times I ate here. Service was really poor the first visit. Much better the second visit but the music was so loud our group of ten couldn't visit. They did turn it down when asked and then turned it up again once our food arrived. They did turn it down again when asked again. If you want a bar atmosphere, they are really going for that. The music, not at all mexican, is rap/pop not easy listening. With that said, the food really is excellent and the drinks were made just right.

Make sure you go and try out this restaurant, the food was great and the service was fantastic. Our waiter Manny was lovely and helpful. The atmosphere was really good. The restaurant was busy however this did not effect the quality of food or service. Great place.

I've been dining at Los Toros for over 20 years and if you're looking for authentic Mexican food in a setting that makes you feel like you're in Mexico, this is the place.

This place is pretty neat and good ambiance. It's divided among 3 sections where the bar area is in the middle. It gets busy even when there isn't as much traffic in and out. Their luncheon special includes a margarita (note u get chg $1 extra for on the rocks). But good prices overall for their large portion plates! Friendly service and plenty of parking if theirs is busy. We got recommended to try it and it was worth the trip.

This very busy restaurant, with abundant parking to serve it's large volume of customers, is ornately decorated in Mexican tile, stained glass and other artifacts. That is the only positive thing I can say of my experience. On entering the restaurant the noise volume was deafening. Those in the bar were literally shouting to hear one another which is beyond fun and lively. I had the good sense to have read several reviews and requested the 'yellow section' close to the kitchen. That area has many booths and is fairly quite. We ordered chicken fajitas and pollo al carbon. We came to this place to eat and we know good Mexican food. My pollo al carbon had been cooked way in advance and arrived COMPLETELY dried out with a small section burned black. The salsa they place on the table, for the quantity of chips provided, is inadequate for anyone desiring to use salsa with their main meal as we wanted to do. The waiter returned at the end of the meal to provide the check & clear us out, never asking how the meal was soon after it was served. Even if our experience was the exception to otherwise well prepared food, the eating environment is so punitive that I could never return even for a compensated meal.

I was visiting my fiance who lives 5 mins from this place and is always talking about it. Now I know why she raves about this place. The place looks small from the outside don't let it fool you they have different seating areas. I went for the happy hour and was not disappointed! The server was funny and attentive, i tried almost everything on the happy hour menu, dollar something for tacos, 4$ margarita's you cant go wrong. Only disappointment i live in Toronto and my fiance will move here in august don't know when i can go back to this place.

This restaurant has been a family favorite for more than twenty years. We always recommend it to our friends. The food is very good -- and the bean dip they serve with tortilla chips is the BEST!!

Absolute favorite restaurant for my Wife and me. First visited when they sponsored my son's baseball team in the 1970's. Delicious food and great drinks at reasonable prices. I'd say between "cheap" and "mid-range" on the rating below. Depends on your selection. Excellent service and up-tempo atmosphere. Can be quiet or noisy depending on where you are seated. Family owned and operated.

I have eaten here for over 20 years and always enjoy the food. Service can get slow at lunch when they get a big lunch rush. Parking can be difficult if you are coming on Friday. Valet parking available in back on rush days. I have brought large groups for business meetings and they have always been able to accommodate. My family also enjoys coming here for special occasions.

We had a Baby Shower at Los Toros Mexican Restaurant on Saturday February 29th, we were given a private room with private entrance and bathroom and had buffet service with servers. The managers Nick and Marisol were very accommodating as was Manny our lead wait staffer. He took the time to make sure that everyone had food according to their dietary needs beyond the buffet. Cathy - the balloon lady - was a bonus! She did balloon art for the children in attendance. The children AND their parents just loved it! The food was delicious and plentiful. And can you say complimentary valet parking?? The party wad a hit and so is this hidden gem. Dr Pat Watson

If you are in the valley you have to go to Los Toros. This place is a staple and their margaritas are BOMB. Whether you get a pitcher or a single (which usually comes with a puddle of tequila on top) you won't be disappointed. I've made my way through the menu and haven't been disappointed yet, but honestly you can just sit me in the bar with chips and salsa and I'll be happy!

Read many great reviews and tried this restaurant for lunch. This is a large festively laid out space with a nice open central dining room area, a bar/cantina area in the middle, and a quieter booth dining room on the other side. Nice design. Service was quick and friendly. Iâm 70 years old and remember the old days when we had really good Mexican food in LA. Unfortunately itâs become too easy for so many places to draw plenty of business now serving mediocre food. Sadly, this is another. Prices are reasonable here. My lady and I had a couple of $4.50 glasses of very drinkable chardonnay, a good start. The lunch items we chose were bargain priced in my opinion. Their much touted bean dipâŚok but itâs just a little bean dip folks. Big deal. I ordered one of my favs â Chile Verde. The pork was dry with many hard fat chucks in it. And this dish should not be like carnitas. It should be very moist and flavorful, almost like a stew. Not this one. My partner ordered a chicken tostada. Not very memorable either. I think prices and atmosphere are great here. That will draw lots of SoCal people. I just lament the fact that itâs become very hard to find a full service, full bar, traditional Mexican restaurant in L.A. that serves great fresh authentic food, other than a few tiny mom & pop places that donât offer a more complete restaurant experience. Having traveled to Mexico City, and had some really wonderful food in spectacularly decorated venues itâs hard to understand why we canât get a little slice of that here in SoCal.

Los Toros Mexican Restaurant is a renowned favorite for Chatsworthâs locals. This family owned restaurant has been around since 1967!! We absolutely love their fresh made guacamole!! You can get it in mild, medium or spicy!! If you like a little spice, get the spicy! Definitely get one for the table to share and even one to go. Their bean dip, refried beans and rice are so tasty!! Fajitas come to the table sizzling. I love their Carne Asada, which comes as a whole steak! Their cheese enchiladas are pretty cheesy!! They have indoor and outdoor seating with some bars inside. Their house margarita is a favorite!! Ernesto had wonderful customer service!

I love this place despite the noise! I never end up ordering too much food because the bean dip, salsa and chips call my name! Great food! Great Margaritas! Its REALLY busy on Friday and Saturday night so try to get in during the week to avoid the wait!

I started going to Los Toros about 20 years ago. It is amazing. The Bean Dip is addictive. The food is very good and unbelievably inexpensive. I love the Aarons Burrito but is is so big that two can share and still be full. The restaurant is always busy and as another reviewer said it can be very noisy but well worth the wait and the noise. This is still family run and wonderful.

Great food and fantastic margaritas, which are insanely cheap. A+++++

Excellent food, reasonable prices, family feeling in a "hacienda"-type environment. People were very friendly and eager to accommodate our special requests. Would definitely go back there.

Nick and his family always make us feel welcome, even Louis, the valet. Get a Papa Nicks and ask for it to be handmade.

Los Toros is a staple in Chatsworth, it been around since the begging of time, the food is good, large portions, the drinks are great.and its fairly priced, that is why its packed to capacity daily. I been a patron on and off since the 80's, haven't been disappointed yet.

I love their bean dip. Everything I have had on menu is good. Great place for a celebration. If you like margaritas this is the place for you.

Enjoy happy hour with the greatest bartenders in the area! It's alright - thank me later. Food is good, but margaritas are better!

Our friends and I had a wonderful reasonably priced lunch on Saturday. The service was great as always and the food was very well done. We will be back again.

We came here for dinner on a Thursday evening while visiting family in the area. We ordered guacamole to hold us over, which was prepared deliciously in front of us. Of course, we ordered some margaritas as well, which I had heard were very good here. It was, indeed, true. One of the best I've had in a very long time. The service was great, everyone enjoyed their entrees and the atmosphere was very traditional Mexican. I would definitely return when I'm in the area again!

We were staying in a local hotel and didn't fancy 'hotel food' so we checked Tripadvisor for a local Mexican restaurant as my husband had never experienced authentic Mexican cuisine. Lo and behold there was one two blocks away and unlike the locals who always seem to drive everywhere, we walked the two blocks like any typical Europeans, leaving the car behind. We did meet one local en route, a homeless man, who asked us if we were out getting our daily excercise. I guess we were! The atmosphere of a truly authentic Mexican casa/cocina lay behind heavy wooden doors and friendly smiling faces ushered us in. Behold tiled walls with Mexican motifs; rustic furniture and furnishings in true Mexican style. Clint Eastwood might've walked in at any minute. You have a choice between the main dining room, the bar or the back dining area with booths. We tried all three as we ended up returning for a second night. I recommend having a pitcher of Margarita, go for the salt rimmed glass, while you peruse the menu at the bar - lots of choice. Go for authentic Mexican dishes (I went for the burger on the 2nd night and wished I'd ordered the same as the previous night - Nacos with chicken - enough to feed four! My husband ordered the 14th Bull - Tex Mex and loved every last refried bean. Stick to the real McCoy dishes and you can't go wrong for the tang of fresh lime to augment your Margarita but go there hungry. The dishes are enormous. Great value. Great atmosphere and if you go for the 2nd pitcher of Margarita you'll be glad you didn't drive. We were.

Service at the bar and the margaritas were top notch. The excellent drinks are what rose this review from poor to average. After leaving the bar and sitting at our table, it was downhill. Was there with a large group of people. Service was mediocre and I am giving them the benefit of the doubt because of the large group. They would not separate the check. Inconvenient but not a deal breaker. I ordered steak nachos with the guacamole on the side. The steak was black shoe leather. We thought the pieces of so called steak were olives pieces when served. After asking for the guacamole 4 times it arrived after everyone had finished their meal. I found the food inedible however my friends did eat some of it and other friends were fine with their food choices. I won't go out my way to go back, however a few friends are loyal regulars. Maybe I just caught a bad day...

Went for a birthday dinner and was not disappointed!!! The table did guacamole was exquisite and oh so fresh! The pitchers of margaritas weren't watered down and the carne asada was cooked to perfection! The staff was friendly and very accommodating! Definitely going back when I fly back to Cali!

I can only give 3 stars because management stinks! Great margaritas and I love the mole here. There are certain things this place delivers well on ... good drinks is one! I love the margarita pitchers and $19 is a good value. The chips and salsa and bean dip are always good. Food is pretty good and service can be very spotty. Last time I was there the Service in the bar - which was packed - was much friendlier and quick than the table we moved to (lesson learned!) and the dining room was empty. Service really needs to improve. I come back because I grew up coming here and there's a lot of nostalgia for me. They're a popular spot so they don't really NEED to go the extra mile for their guests but it would go a long way for me and I'm sure for others. Not sure how long I will keep coming back or how infrequently I'll visit until things pick up.

When you get there, you will be presented with a basket of chips and their own, homemade dip and salsa. The dip is wonderful! The salsa is spicy (to me). The food is traditional California Mexican; the chicken tacos are the BEST in town! The ambiance of the restaurant is casual. You can take the whole family or go with friends and hit the bar which is popular at "happy hour." Their drinks are really strong! Get there before 6pm if you don't want to wait to be seated. The first patio, with the fountain, is the best room to be seated in (it's the closest to the hostess station) because it feels like you are out of doors. Sometimes you'll encounter a guitarist, who plays almost any song you can think of, serenading you at your table. Sometimes there's a balloon guy, too.

We were deep in the valley on other business and had to find a place for a late lunch. We stopped at Los Toros, because it was there, but never expected to find the interesting restaurant with friendly owners and helpers, and such delicious food! I thought I had already written a review, but can't seem to find it, so I am recalling back from March or April now. We loved our spicy and flavorful tacos and burrito. The salsa tasted fresh and homemade, a little different than Mexican restaurants often offer. The atmosphere was charming - you feel like you are in another world there. At least at the late lunch hour, it was relaxing, fairly quiet, but prompt and attentive service. If we were only closer, we'd be there much more often! But we think of Los Toros as a hidden treasure; if you are nearby, don't miss stopping in.

OK, it's loud due to lots of people having a great time. But you can not beat the food, service or value.

I highly recommend starting off with a pitcher of Papa Nick's margaritas. Order the Chicken Fajitas Light, without rice or beans. Request the chicken well done with extra carmelized onions and skip the bell peppers. Then you've got to order some table side guacamole (medium spice level.) Enjoy the complimentary chips and salsa - and make sure your waiter brings you a cup of nice WARM bean dip. If they forget to skip the bell peppers - send it back till they get your order correct! We're training them.

Good and cheap!! Nice place to hangout on a weekday..

This is a rather large restaurant comprised of several buildings making for a nice large interior with plenty of seating. The ambiance is really nice, the decor looks great and puts you in the mood for Mexican food. The staff is great and service very quick. This is a well run restaurant. The food is outstanding, some of the best Mexican food I've had. They make the usual fare but also some specialty plates that are very very good. I highly recommend trying one of these unique dishes, you will be pleasantly surprised at the great tastes. One recommendation - go early, this place gets packed, and I mean super packed, just about every night of the week. It's very popular and once you've tried their food you'll know why.

Great Mexican food. Fun. Totally enjoyable for the whole family. Friendly prices. Was one of my families favorite places back in the 1970's and it hasn't changed. Super good

Good atmosphere and good food. Drinks are plentiful and strong. There is a nice bar area as well. Close to CSUN.

From the moment that you pull into the parking lot, you feel authenticity! Simple, friendly, and real good food. I ate the chicken mole and it was great! Friendly smiling people and great food, how can you go wrong?

I stopped coming here a few years ago because the quality of the food had diminished and too many drunks!! My brother talked me into trying them out again. I donât mess with the Gringo combos. I had the Carnitas and they were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The only hiccup was our appetizer was delivered with our entrees. The serving staff was great and friendly so I decided not to ding them for it. We all make mistakes!! I also tipped my normal 20 percent.

It's a very party decorated. The food portions are HUGE!! The service is unique..Our waiter made small mistakes that were so innocent and was entertainment for dinner. He came to our table and brings a Coke..he says "You ordered a Coke right? Oh, no it's over there." We asked for a to go box he comes back with a plastic bag and says, "I forgot the box, let me get it." Really hilarious, I'm not sure if he was doing a double shift or whatever. But big kudos for him being our waiter.

Beautiful patio and decor indoors as well. Awesome chips and salsa, along with the bean dip they served, very tasty. The other food was mediocre at best. Grilled chicken tacos lacked flavor, chicken was a little dry. Service was also pretty slow, despite there not being a large crowd.

In Chatsworth for business or pleasure? Go to Los Toros for a margarita or 4 lol. The chips, salsa and bean dip are LEGENDARY.Lis Toros reportedly has great food but I dont know since the chips and bean dip are all I need (aside from tequila lol)

When I met my wife, she lived a block away from a great Mexican restaurant in Torrance, but now she lives in Northiridge and Los Toros is the best Mexican restaurant we've found this side of Torrance. I'm a designer and haven't figured out the building yet. It seems to be a collection of buildings with enclosed patios between and decorated with Spanish tile roofs. The menu has the usual but also specialties. I ordered Pescado Asado which is a halibut steak with beans and rice, my wife got a typical combo of an Enchilada and Tamales. It seems that most Mexican restaurants start you out with chips and salsa. Los Toros starts with chips, salsa, and bean dip which was far better than the usual salsa.

This Place has the best Margaritas on the planet...no exaggeration!!

Los Toros has great food and a big variety of possible margarita choices. Good service. Unique layout, if you get a table in the back room you kinda feel like you're in a labyrinth. Parking lot in the back often seems full but somehow we always find a spot. Only negative for me personally is that it is too dark inside for my eyes to cope with --- I need a flashlight to see the menu.

Let me start of by saying they do have great Margaritas. We started our dinner off with table side guacamole. First off the cart they rolled up to make it on is old, looks dirty and disgusting. It definitely needs to be updated. I order a cheese tamale but I don't know what it was stuffed with but it wasn't cheese. Not to mention our waitress was kind of rude. We felt like we were rushed when there were plenty of empty tables. I hadn't been there in years and now I remember why. Plenty of better Mexican places to eat in the valley.

$20 Family meal will fill you up, and you'll have lunch for tomorrow. Bring a designated driver and enjoy a pitcher of the best margaritas in the Valley. If you go on a Saturday night, be prepared to wait up to an hour for a table. Did I mention the margaritas?

Had birthday dinner here w/16 amigos & bday amiga last night. Loud, friendly, long time here, neighborhood standby. Refried beans, salsa, tasted like out of a can. Drinks are reasonable. Food(I had Arroz con Camarones) bland but reasonable(Chile relleno was great). You will not be excited by taste. You will not go home hungry. Then the bite--- they have no single checks, so try and pay w/credit card---- head waiter says (not politely) "read the menu, go back to your table & figure it out"!!). It got done! Head waiter needs to learn manners, or, go back to being a bus boy--- not worth the hassle, too many good Mexican restaurants---

This place was recommended by recommended by in-laws and it is now my place to eat! I am new and the area and was very doubtful about finding an authentic Mexican restaurant with great atmosphere here in this side of the Valley. But I was happily surprised. Place has great ambiance, the decor set you in a place in Ensenada or Puerto Vallarta, you really feel the Mexican ambiance. The menu is packed with great choices, not just the typical food you will find a Mexican restaurant but a variety of dishes! The drinks are great and at a reasonable price. They have live mariachi on Sunday buffets!

We went there for a family celebration. The place is huge, as they added on space in the back...the place goes on and on. I think they have 3 Bars. The wait staff was a little slow, so hope you are not in a hurry. I got Chicken and Rice, and it was so-so. But, after 2 Margaritas, who cares? Of course, I was not driving. Don't do that. Also, do not fill up on the chips, salsa, and bean dip before you eat. SAVOR THE MARGARITA!!!! No salt on the rim for me! Anyway, the place has been there forever, and is a landmark in Chatsworth/ family owned. So go ahead and give it a try. Casual-Family friendly place. I see alot of large groups celebrating Birthdays and events. They encourage large groups to have a great time there. Lots of FUN.

In a town filled with Mexican restaurants I had heard over and over that this was one of the best around, so I finally trekked out to Chatsworth to check it out. I was thoroughly underwhelmed. The food was plentiful, but I found the salsa to be terrible. Fresh, but missing flavor. The bean dip was good and the rest of the meal (carne asada, cheese enchilada, rice & beans) was on the better side of average. My server was very busy with two large tables that unfortunately, I fell through the cracks. Not all his fault, he was running around like crazy. Maybe he should have split some of the load around. All that said, it would probably be a great place to get friends together as the atmosphere was lively, bright and fun.

Didn't wait too long to get a table nor Our food , Food is Always Goood , purple Cadillacs Always Goood , need a couple extra waiters though but All good

This is a go-to spot for authentic Mexican eats in the San Fernando Valley. From the colorful setting to the outdoor dining area, itâs perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. They have been serving up great Mexican food for about 57 years. Each dish is made-to-order using only the freshest ingredients. The bean dip, fresh made guacamole and carne asada are definite must-trys!

Great 'Businessman's lunch'. Tacos,Burritos,Enchiladas. All with rice n beans. Includes a Beer or a Margarita. $7.75 11a - 3pm Can't beat it !!!! A+++++ Staff always courteous and friendly

I am only familiar with the branch on Devonshire (close to Topanga Cyn. Rd) in Chatsworth, S.F. Valley. Some of the food they offer is similar in taste and quality to the Sage Brush Cantina in Calabasas, with the exception that Los Toros (in Chatsworth) has no outdoors service. Typical American style Mexican food, well prepared. Some times the place is very busy, and the service quality suffers somewhat.

Great neighborhood family run business. Have been going here 30+ years, food is good and reasonably priced, bean dip is great, especally when paired with the Margaritas, which were voted top 5 in LA. Love this place

We have been going to this Chatsworth restaurant for decades, literally. We go to Chatsworth Tire & then eat at Los Toros while they install our tires. Their Cactus (sopa de nopalitos) soup is incredibly rich. My husband says the menudo is the best he has ever had. It is packed with hominy. The broth is VERY RICH. Not many places include the bone in the soup nowadays. As for my soup, it is the deepest tomato-ey red. This is homemade soup. Filled with love. Service is always excellent. We had a great waiter but I forgot his name already. Sorry ! This place is authentic. Great drinks for those of you who like tequila. They specialize in Patron. While you wait for your food, they bring you salsa & chips but also CHORIZO SAUSAGE BEAN DIP. It is to die for. Unfortunately, this last time, I got sick-- but I have been on a special diet for months & I have IBS. In spite of this, I will go back. I will order my cactus soup again. It is soooooo good. Service A+ & I drink iced tea like I have a hollow leg. My glass was always full. The decor is super cool. They have a sign in the restuarant that has some special blessing. They have a HUGE BAR AND ANOTHER BACK ROOM. we got seated by the fountain. Very nice. Chairs were comfortable.

Visited recently while on business travel. It was very crowded with 20 to 30 minute wait so it was suggested to try bar area for no wait. I found a seat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of Mexican beers priced at Happy Hour even though it was 8pm which was a very good deal. I ordered a burrito that was wet with a sauce that was pretty good. The chips, salsa, and refried beans were good. The bartender was very friendly and on top of things despite the bar area being very busy. I would go back if in the area again.

My Wife and I went to Los Toros restaurant because she had eaten here a while back and really enjoyed her meal. So I figured I would give it a try since I love Mexican food. The restaurant seems gigantic. It looks like the took three separate buildings and connected them all. The menu has quite a few choices and I went with the " Paul's Burrito" which was delicious and my wife had the "Nopales Rellenos" and she thought her dish was just Ok. We enjoyed the bean dip and the house salsa. We ordered a couple of house Margaritas as well and thought they were really good. We will come back to Los Toros in the future and would recommend it to others who enjoy good Mexican food.

Wanted to sit on the patio, which was virtually empty at 4:00pm. Waiter and manager wouldn't allow me to sit at a big table in order to keep an eye on my truck which had tools and was parked out back. The place was empty and when I had to walk up to the front bar and ask the bar tender if it was ok to seat myself he said fine. Both waiter and manager were rude and made me feel like they didn't want my business. I seldom write reviews but these guys were so rude I felt I should warn people. This place sucks and is out of touch. There were very very few customers there. Plenty of tables were available!!!!!! I was ready to spend $60 or more on drinks and food but they really didn't want my business. Ok, I'll go to Sol y Luna.

Been coming here for years and have witnessed a decline. Dined here last night with my family and have decided we won't be back. Upon walking into the restaurant we had to walk around vomit due to the fact it has turned into a drinking, partying restaurant. When being escorted to our table ( almost had to jog to kept up with our hostess) we had to walk thru the bar, incredible drunk patrons (no wonder the vomit in the entrance to the restaurant) was seated at one of the back rooms, bright lights, no atmosphere, and a BUG ZAPPER WITH BUGS IN IT above our table. Service was very slow and the food not as good as it used to be.

We've been patrons for years . There's a reason why they have taken over all of the buildings in their vicinity. AMBIANCE: We only sit in the entrance room. I think they call it their Fountain Room because it has a wall fountain, which is a sort-of outdoor-patio, cantina area. It's actually open-air and has professionally concealed rain gutters. There is nothing better than sitting in an "outdoor" patio when it's raining. It's festively decorated, Mexican-Baja style. FREEBIES: Free valet during the busy times (which is nearly always). Their bean dip that comes gratis with the chips and salsa is to-die-for (I have a friend that orders a burrito with just that dip). FOOD: Not my favorite Mexican-fare, though my husband craves it. Their food has gone up in price but they have the best shrimp fajitas that I've had and I have tried many places. They use very large shrimp, not those ittty-bitty ones. Their Mexican rice is not my favorite. The guacamole is so-so: I don't care for it but I'm a guacamole connoisseur. Fish (breaded) taco's were overcooked, to the point of being like potato chips but they were new and I think the cooks were still figuring the frying part out. Great Menudo (weekends only I believe) but we are not Menudo-junkies. DRINKS: You have to get the Papa Nicks Margarita. DISCLAIMER: Only for those who regularly consume alcohol! Their other alcoholic beverages are somewhat standard but the Papa Nicks blows every margarita in a 10,000 mile vicinity away. We are seasoned margarita-lovers and one Papa Nicks does me in just fine. I am not a beer drinker but i have a friend who loves their $6 Happy hour Heineken pitcher. HAPPY HOUR: Eh. Cheap tacos and enchiladas, pitchers of beer and well drinks that are reasonably priced (well drinks aren't that strong). Good, somewhat loud music scene. Security is always on-hand, never obnoxious, not noticeable unless you need them. No, I don't feel threatened or scared ever. One-man mariachi on the weekends and peak times is not-in-your-face, and he doesn't force himself on you unless you make eye contact, which we like. The only reservations they accept is by phone to be put on the in-house waitlist when you are on your way. Sunday Brunch is a menu, with one drink included, with dishes they don't regulary sell.

yummy yummy yummy. Any one who has eaten there wants to go back. the entrance and parking is in the back. If it is crowded you may have to wait for your meal or service. So go on an off hout. You can get on bogopod and get coupons

Very popular restaurant due to great authentic mexican food run by same family for many years. Atmosphere was lively and fun, staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. The frozen margarita's were large and delicious. Would go back again and again.

My family and I went to Los Toros for dinner. We've been here before plenty of times for celebrations etc. I don' t know why we keep coming back, the food is mediocre at best. Oh I know why. The chips and bean dip are great. This is a good place if you want to have some margaritas, and chips, because that is the best thing they have there. The layout is weird, and not very feng-shui, kinda like Dungeons and Dragons Mexican style. I kept thinking they were going to lead us to a cellar where the Inigo Montoya was avenging his father's death with the six fingered man. Service was okay. One thing I did not like was the fact that the hostess sat us next to a very drunk table full of foul mouthed people that were extremely loud, I could not even hear myself be foulmouthed and loud back in my own head. Verdict? Great chips, bean dip, great margaritas, and great acoustics.

This restaurant is loud in some sections, but the food is BIG and pretty tasty. The bean dip has chorizo in it, so it's not for the meek. Lots of sports and a rockin' bar. Loud, very loud, but fun.

I have eaten here many times over the years and always enjoyed my food. The warm bean dip that comes free is like no other I've had. I love the 11th Bull, which is either chili Colorado or chili verde over and omelette. Minimal carbs for Mexican and very tasty. My wife loves Arron's burrito. We both love the house margarita. Sometimes when really busy, the service can get slow/disorganized, but just have a drink and enjoy (if you think the drink service at the table is slow, just walk to one of the many bars and you'll be helped). If you choose the unique menu items at this place, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Big restaurant, occupancy over 200 people. Friday night wait time..... still need 45-60 minutes. They don't take reservation either. :( 2 bar area, first come first serve. However, over crowded. Impossible to find a seat. The Service: Once seated, server was attentive. Food was served quickly. The Food: Food quality is really so-so. Beef taco - beef is dry, taco shell is not crunchy. Side dish rice is overcooked. Tamale - too doughy. only a little bit of meat. Enchilada - not enough cheese, majority tortilla The Parking: Valet Parking (FREE) and Street Parking

This was a social event with co workers. Had reservations but was not seated on time. About 20 minutes late. Ordered several dishes to share and we also ordered our own fare. Several of the group had been here many times, ( my first time) but I ordered a dish no on else ever had, Fish Taco's. We shared a couple of appetizers. Service was quick but uneven. Asked for small dishes so we could share and they gave us 3 for a group of 8? Food was bland, not much kick or flavor. Did like the bean dip so that is a plus. I know this place has been around for years and has a very steady and loyal clientele. I read a couple of reviews and they seemed to like it. My take is, bland food with large portions. If that is what you like, come here.

The place is always crowded, I thought that was a good sign.. On my 1st visit it was evening & I had a hard time parking, but I found a spot. Once I got in, I was not greeted upon arrival at the hostess station?? I stood there looked her in her face & nothing I was not acknowledged, after a bout 20-30 seconds someone walked up & started talking to hostess right in front of me.. I TURNED RIGHT AROUND & WALKED OUT THE DOOR !!! I figured it must have been a off night the hostess was a child & I figured she didn't know how to properly greet a guest.. The next time I tried this place is because just down the block I was having my vehicle serviced & needed to kill 2 hours so I figured I would try again.. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas & desert was Flan.. The fajitas were OK but the flan was disgusting!! I sent it back twice, the first time it came with whip cream & chocolate syrup on it ?? really that's flan?? yukk back to the kitchen & try again.. After my traditional flan arrived I took one bite & it was awful sent that back also.. Can't really recommend this place the tables weren't clean & service was poor. The dish I had was OK but never again..

I have been to this location many times. Each time, I come Ihave such a great time. The food and drinks are always fresh and delicious. The wait staff is very nice. We celebrated my Mom's birthday there once and the wait staff was great. If you try you will not be disappointed.

This was a take-out order, but as always, well prepared. Take advantage of the fresh Guacamole that is prepared table side to your taste. Probably the best restaurant Guac I've run across in a long time. The food has always been well prepared - we've yet to have a dud. If you are looking for a quiet, romantic, restaurant, keep looking. This place is like coming to a family get together. Friendly, loud, and welcoming. Enjoy

Limited parking area. Very dim lightings inside the restaurant. Nice ambience, paintings on the walls.

My clients and I stopped here for lunch, in the middle of our day, working on a desert video shoot, and they loved it so much, that I partially attribute it to their satisfaction with the project, which ended a few hours ago. Los Toros was a highlight of their trip from Asia and put them in an upbeat mood! They were delighted with the excellent authenic Mexican homestyle food, professional presentation, cheerful atmosphere, and gifts. We ate in the sunny fountain room, feeling like we were sitting in a Mexican cantina. When we drove up, the streets were pretty empty except for some horses, until we got to their parking lot that was packed with at least 50 cars. We knew we had hit on something special. The complimentary bean dip and salsa that come right away with homemade chips are great. Be sure to order the guacamole that is made at your table. I had the stuffed cactus with cactus sauce. My clients had sizzling fajitas, nopales Rellenos, Alhambres Mexicanos, Huevos Rancheros, and homemade tortillas. Thank you Los Toros. I give you 5 stars. You are worth a trip to LA...the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been too (and I've been to alot)!

Bought the BoGoPod for this place..$15 for $30 woth of food!! Didn't read the fine print that said, free guacamole until after I had dinner! Guacamole made fresh by your table! Definitely next time!! Had the peach margarita which was just so so. Girlfriend and I split the fish tacos and two crunchy tacos. Generous portions! Fish was very fresh and NOT fried! Beef taco was good..not great. This place was super busy at 5 and got even busier by 7:30. There is valet parking in the back for tips only. Just an overall fun place!

Here is an old Chatsworth Mexican institution. Even is you don't eat the wonderful and authentic Mexican fare, go just to see all of the Mexican tile work produced years ago in Guanajuato State. This building is a treasure. I came here for lunch with a friend. The restaurant is HUGE so walk-ins are welcome. I ordered a Carnitas Burrito, wet, and my friend ordered chicken tacos. While we waited, they served free salsa, chips and a bean dip that was out of this world. I ordered a Cadillac Margarita and what arrived is without question the best I have had in any Mexican Restaurant in LA since 1970! The Carnitas was great and the tacos looked wonderful. We both cleaned our plates, which was a lot of food , because we couldn't bear to throw it away. The cost was minimum. They even have a sports bar, but mostly tuned to soccer. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in the area. If you thought this review was helpful, please let Trip Advisor know!

We've been eating here for years and there's no better bean dip and margaritas around. The service is great and the family run place is wonderful. I stay with what I love there which is the bean and cheese burrito and rice with a chicken taco. I know the peach margaritas are good, but I still love the strawberry. Excellent value too!

Love this restaurant. I usually shy away from Mexican restaurants but this is now my favorite of all.

This restaurant is spacious and perfect for large groups. When it's busy, you may have to wait a bit to be served, but the food is prepared fresh and tasty.

The best thing here is their bean dip â delicious. Otherwise the food quality varies. Bring night-vision goggles as many areas are very dim. We asked to be seated in a brighter area, but were told that there was no service in that area. The menu is poorly written. We had to ask the waiter many questions as to the combinations as the menu is unclear, but none of the combination items contain meat without an extra charge. We had to ask for a spoon and knife as they donât bring them out otherwise. One friendâs food was served cold so he sent it back and the replaced food was also cold. My chicken fajitas were very good with freshly cut ingredients as opposed to the pre-cut and formed stuff at the El Torito chain of Mexican food restaurants. My corn tortillas werenât jot and got cold immediately as they are wrapped in thin paper. Another friend ordered three tamales and all had good tasting meat but the corn meal was tasteless. We wonât return. And one can not escape without gaining 2-5 pounds.

My GF and I met her new daughter-in-law and her mom for Sunday brunch. we had high hopes. The space is large with nice ambiance. They are doing something right since they have been around since the late 60's. The regular menu includes breakfast and has a wide variety for Lunch and Dinner. Service was very attentive. My disappointment in the Sunday Brunch is that I didn't see that variety of offerings. My GF loved the menudo and the bean dip that comes with your chips was as good as advertised. The variety of entries could DEFINITELY be improved. I am not writing Los Toros off, but definitely not coming back from Sunday brunch as it stands now. It looks like its worth a second visit for regular menu alone

We really enjoyed Los Toros, this was our first time and happy we stopped by on our way back from LA. They have a $20 Mimosa Brunch; Shrimps, rice, beans, menudo, omelet, waffles ect ect. My kids got the street tacos and Burritos along with asada fries and they all enjoy the unhealthy good meal HAHAHA. We enjoys that they bring out chips and salsa plus fried beans great touch. If we are ever in the area we will go back for another meal.

The food is typical of what I have come to expect from California Mexican restaurants. My fajita was well prepared and tasty although a little oily. Portions were generous. The drinks were very good. Try the Mexican Flag (equal shots of tequila, lemon juice and bloody mary mix). The chips and salsa are very good but the addition of the warm bean dip makes the chips and salsa special.

This is an unusually large restaurant with many rooms, and a lengthy and varied menu. The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the service is good. The decor is pretty standard for Mexican restaurants, but is very nice. This restaurant is extremely popular and waits can be long--but worth it. Some of the rooms are on the noisy side, but this is true of many restaurants these days.

Average mexican fare, willing to make changes to the menu. Service only so...so...

I have eaten here a few times but was so excited that they are now on Uber Eats so I get it delivered now!.....their food is consistently excellent and do not order anything without also ordering their famous bean dip!

A friend from Santa Barbara recommended this place to us and we've been surprised by the excellent, tasty Mexican food they serve here! The restaurant was extended several times over the last years and so they have different rooms and styles which makes the place even more interesting. It's always very crowded but they are well organized and the wait is worth every minute! Everything we had from the card was extraordinary, so I don't even know what to recommend most. Try the mixed starter plate, it will give you a glimpse from the different types of food they have.

The food is food but the place is huge and almost everywhere you sit is by a noisy bar. The wait can be long, the parking difficult. A favorite spot for people to come after work for Happy Hour. I stay away during peak times

I do love everything about the place - the Margaritas, the food, the service and the ambience. Only problem with this place is actually finding it - fortunately a friend showed us the way. Been there years ago and just now - and we will be back, I promise. Enjoy

The Bad: its crowded and therefore can get loud sometimes. Even though there's plenty of parking - finding a spot can take some time. The Good: everything else! The food is really good. The service is spot on. And the bean dip is awesome! (Best I've had thus far). Any Mexican restaurant that starts us off with chips, salsa AND bean dip sets themselves above the norm. The cost for food is average to slightly above average... but to me, the food & service are good enough to be a bargain. If you're in the area and want Mexican food, Los Toros should be at the top of your list. Enjoy.....

Sunday Brunch ends at 3pm. Fresh tortillas, fruit, omelet station and more . Bottomless champagne. Bring your friends

This is what a dining experience should be. The food was extraordinary, the ambience warm and relaxed, and the service terrific.

I have been in different places to eat Mexican food, I came here because somebody recommended to us....let´s start, they had raise the price and they change the size of the glass of the beer and they didn´t tell the bartender (that´s what our waiter told us) so instead of charging let´s say two beers for three, the gave us four in order to charge the 3 we had ordered, my husband couldn´t drink the 4th. one "they should´ve ask before bring it" the food -5 was awful the dip bad.....I prefer to go to my other Mexican fabulous place!

Back a few years ago when we lived out in this area and did business in San Fernando Valley, Los Toros was our go-to place to stop for lunch, sometimes dinner. My wife has been eating here since the mid-70's, so you know what her opinion is. The food was good, the margaritas were excellent, and the complimentary bean dip with chips were legendary. On our most recent visit to Oceanside, we actually decided to fly through LAX, partially so we had an excuse to stop at Los Toros, largely because of the bean dip. Bummer. The food is still pretty good, but it's certainly not âbudgetâ, and there are dozens of other Tex-Mex places that have as good, if not better, food. The margaritas were still pretty fine, but the recently revised bean dip was a huge disappointment. Still a decent place to eat, but I sure won't make a stop here a priority anymore.

The place is known for its bean dip that is served with endless chips prior to your meal. There is a large bar in the middle section of the restaurant which serves wonderful margaritas at low prices. The place can get loud because of the drinking, but that is expected. The fajitas are my favorite and my family lives the tableside guacamole. It's a casual dining experience that you should try.

My cousin invited us to try this historic mexican restaurant in Chatsworth. It is a free standing building with valet parking only. It is full of Mexican decor, atmosphere, and a venue with many smaller rooms. The food and drink are typical and the sevice pp are very friendly. The price is reasonable and the portion is good. We enjoyed very much for the mini family gathering.

Love Los Toros. Been going here for 30+ years. Bean dip is outstanding, but careful, it is sooo easy to just keep eating it and before long you'll have lost your hunger. But at least you can take your meal home and enjoy it later. Margaritas are strong and the best around. They also have a pretty decent tequila selection. Food is tasty and very reasonable. Chile Verde, Paul's Burrito, Fajitas, and the Cilantro Caesar Salad are just some of the great choices available.

The wife and I went here last week and the place was packed. The wife is very picky about her Mexican food but she enjoyed it. Will be going back again very soon.

Was highly recommended by family. Had high expectations. Outdoor eating area very charming. Ordered a medium steak. It was overcooked. Wifeâs chicken salad had rubbery overcooked chicken.

This restaurant is actually in Chatsworth. It is a huge restaurant, so we were seated quickly. The waiters were good, the food and Margaritas were delicious. We were with friends and we each ordered a different dish--all were great!

Xclt food.. good portions..a full bar.. good service.. plenty of parking..reasonable prices... a very Good dining experience in Chatsworth.. had lunch..tacos and enchiladas.. both were good.. good chips and salsa and bean dip... highly Recommend

The food is great! They start you off with the best bean dip ever. You can't go wrong with their signature margarita's and entrees. I love that place.

I absolutely love this restaurant. My favorite in the San Fernando Valley .The food tatse like grandma used to make .Yummy .Plus drinks oh my .

My boyfriend grew up in the valley & wanted to take me to a place he loved growing up. This place is huge....over the years they have added more & more rooms. They give you chips, salsa & this yummy bean dip when you sit down. The portions are huge and really good. I ordered 2 beef flautas and they were the biggest I've ever seen. I only ate one. They were made with burrito-sized tortillas. The food was so reasonably priced. I am still full hours later and I have lunch for work tomorrow too.

I rarely venture out to 'The Valley' and since we were in the area I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to eat here for breakfast. We drove around the block thinking that the place was closed but it wasn't, you have to enter through the back alley. I ordered my favorite dish Juevos a la Mexicana and it was really good. My friends liked their food too and we loved the colorful interior. The service is good but the waiters can slack a little bit, I had to waive them down a couple of times.

My son just moved to the area so I was looking for good food close by. We found it here! Might be my favorite Mexican restaurant ever! Highly recommend getting the guacamole that is made fresh at your table. Love the atmosphere too!

Friendly service and good authentic Mexican food. Great bar with many beers on draft. Cozy booths to chat discreetly in.

We have been coming to Los Toros for more than 10 years. We love the freshness of all the dishes and the variety. I love coming to this place. It has such a festive atmosphere. It could be very busy. The bar is always full. Just love all their specialties. It is quite a ways away from where we live but we don't mind the long drive. I love all the shrimp dishes. The servings are huge and I always leave with enough food for 2 more meals. My husband loves their enchilada combinations. I love them too. I definitely recommend this place.

The food was really very good and the decor was colorful and clean. Some places are noisy but Los Toros was LOUD, way too LOUD. My wife and I have been together for 26 years but we still like to talk to each other but that was not possible here. I don't recall being in a restaurant that was this loud. The service was very good but the place was way too loud. Maybe Monday night instead of Friday would be a better option.

I like this place because of the courtyard and fountain interior, great salsa they plunk down as soon as you sit down, and the margaritas. The food is good -- not great, but good, and the staff seem to have been there for years. You won't go wrong if you want a spot in the Valley - especially for a group. And if you are from outside the southwest, then you'll love it. not the best Mexican food in town, but reliable.

We arrived with our friends at about 6:30 on a Friday evening. It looked more like we were arriving to a concert event, people coming from all directions and a rather large crowd milling around outside. I was concerned about not getting seated for several hours. By 7 pm our pager was going off and the journey began. The interior of the restaurant is a multitude of smaller dining rooms. It was much larger inside than it looks from outside. Very quaint and festive environment with more than adequate staff to serve the masses. There were five in our group, each ordering different entrees and four of us having margaritas ( the jalapeĂąo margaritas are great). The meals were served in a timely manner, each of us complimented our meal and the service and never felt rushed. If you are celebrating a happy occasion or just looking for a fun and festive atmosphere this is definitely the place.

Great food, house margaritas, and food were enjoyed again...try the house margaritas! Great service and prices

Great place for drinks, large groups and the intimate date. All of their dishes are authentic Mexican food. Service has always been good and lunch times are fast. Buena comida...

The food is not as good as the past years. The service has really gone down hill.

We had a lovely time at Toros, loved the table side guacamole cart and our food. But seriously the margaritas (tried both the house and the skinny) were pretty bad. The place is very large (lots of different rooms though) and Iâm sure they are cranking through a huge quantity of margaritas.

We have been going here for years! We love the Margaritas, they are easy to drink and stealthy strong. Bring some friends and order a pitcher and more bean dip and chips.

We had a reservation for 14. We were seated in a timely manner at a table that was tight for 12. After 10 minutes with no service I found a server and asked for the manager. Another 5 minutes and I asked the bartender for a manager. Finally someone came over added another table and finally brought some chips and dip. Total time so far 15 minutes. The food is still tasty, but the drinks are much weaker. It's truly sad to see what used to be a great place going so far down hill.

This is the one to go to when you are in the mood for well priced amazing Mexican food in a fun atmosphere. The entrance, hidden from view in the back, is sprawling. It just keeps going and going, which is a good thing because it is always packed. And for good reason. For starters, they have the single best bean dip anywhere in the world, and it comes to the table with bowls of chips that soon disappear before you have even placed your order. They also make the single best cheese quesadilla anywhere. I have tried to replicate it at home to no avail and have ordered quesadillas in countless other restaurants, and the plain simple cheese quesadilla at Los Toros is always the winner! The rest of the menu is inventive and varied and everyone I have gone there with has always loved whatever it is they have ordered. Go to Los Toros when in the mood for Mexican food. You will love it and be sure to return.

Great local place in Chatsworth, bean dip served before meal is the bomb, food is always decent and got to have a few margis.

Busy Sunday.. Great Mariachis.. was told there would be a 35 minute wait, but it ended up being 10.. Until we got into our seats. 45 minutes later.. No waiter. People around us who came later already had food.. We were being entertained by the music and talking.. finally my wife asked for the manager.(she had to go find her). Everything went smoothly from there. The exotic menu items are the bet.. stay away from typical "California" things.. Moles, shellfish, verde enchilada's.. all exceptional. Been coming here for years. Would have 5 stars if we were not forgotten.

If you like Mexican Food and you are in the San Fernando Valley. This is the place to go. It is not fancy and it is always crowded, but well worth the wait. Los Toros is loud, so ask for the "YELLOW ROOM." It is the most quite room in the restaurant. Do try it, you won't be sorry. It is great for family and friends.

I got lucky and was sat in the main area. Maybe because I got there early at 5:30. Looks like its a locals hangout so it must be good. Typical Mexican dĂŠcor. A bit loud but I was really close to the bar. Service was fast and courteous. They start you out with chips and salsa (spicy but I'm a weenie when it comes to spicy) & a refried bean dip that is the bomb! For dinner I had the carne asada with beans and rice. The pork at first glance looked dry but ended up being very moist and delicious. Left there very full. Tip: the entrance is in the back. Looks like they have a parking lot back there but I'm not sure If you have to pay to park. I saw a couple employees at the entrance and wasn't sure so I ended up parking on the street and walking to the back of the building. All in all a really nice experience. Will come back if I'm ever this way again.

The food is amazing and you can get great discount coupons through restaurant.com all the time. They have live music and for a large group, there isnt a better place in the area. Happy hour is cheap, but only M-Th and the margaritas are STRONG. I had my birthday dinner here and also my first date with my (now) boyfriend of two years! This place is a gem.

We came late on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was packed and had a fun laid back atmosphere. Valet parking was a nice bonus, although there is street parking available. Food was excellent. I could have just eaten a vat of the refried beans they served with the chips - best beans ive ever had!

Unassuming from the street side, but drive around to the large parking lot and this charming family owned restaurant becomes a south-of-the-border hacienda courtyard. Inside, the family has created an eclectic mix of themed rooms full of fountains and colorful tiles. The food is delicious, ample, and reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience - thank you, Nick. I'll be back!

Recommended by our hotel, really lived up to its reputation. A wonderful place to eat the atmosphere was lively, loud and fun. We have never had Mexican before, we really enjoyed every minute.

La Canada Descana Park ,train ride for the young n old :) Beautiful gardens great day of fun n excersising !

A tradition with my family visits in West Hills is an evening at Los Toros. We like the lively atmosphere, the somehow makeshift âOld Chatsworthâ interior and the food. Just realized how addictive their bean dip is after we finished the second serving. This time with family and a 3 year old we were well placed even on a busy weekend with a cover for the sports bar. Service was attentive and efficient and the food exactly what we came for. Over the years moving from Owensmouth to Lassen and then Farralone in West Hills, its nice to see that a traditional place holds on to âfame AND qualityâ! See you next winter!

Great food Their crunchy tacos are the best. Consistently good for over 20 years. Perfect for birthdays

I can't recommend this place enough. Great Mexican food for really reasonable prices and killer Margaritas is all you need to know about this place. Los Toros is popular so be prepared to wait. I live in New York, NY now but I try to come here everytime I come home. Just an awesome and fun place to eat.

Party of 6 went to Los Toros, 5 p.m./ on Friday night. Place was packed. The fajitas are sharable, as are the burritos, The bean dip is great. I advise saving money with discount coupons printable on line, e.g. 20%. We didn't try the renowned margaritas as we aren't drinkers.

Great ambiance with very friendly staff, clean and a great place to unwind... tequila style. The food is good and the salsa better, try the Chimichangas!!

One of the better mexican restaurants I have found and that's saying alot as I have scoured the country for good mexican. A bit of a hike for most as it's off the beaten path but definately worth the trip. = )

The atmosphere is fun. The staff was engaging and welcoming. But the food was a big terrible miss. Maybe after 3 overly sweet watermelon margaritas it would taste better??? Maybe I ordered wrong. I am very perplexed at the good reviews. My food literally tasted like a child was attempting to cook dinner. There was no art or finesse or even effort unfortunately. Maybe the chef hoped the cheeses or sauces would cover the old tasting fish in the fish tacos or the shrimp that tasted like it came out of a local pond. The chips and salsa and bean dip were the best part. I should have just stopped there. The bean dip was spot on delicious but after that delicious isn't even close to the right word for anything else. So go for the fun atmosphere and drinks and chips and salsa but don't order the food unless you want to punish your stomach for something it did.

Los Toros is wonderful for food, atmosphere and margaritas! We love it as a couple and in groups... The Bean Dip is a meal in itself. Great lunch specials. Carne Asada and carnitas are wonderful as well as the enchilada and chile

Los Toros, in Chatsworth, CA, is a very good Mexican restaurant. A loyal clientele attests to that. What Iâd like to focus on is how interesting it is. It was founded in 1967 and has been operated by the same family since then. It started with a kitchen and one dining room. It has expanded several times at the same location. With each expansion, more dining rooms were added. The path from the front door to the original dining room takes a number of twists and turns. On my way from the restroom back to the table, I actually got lost. I neednât have. There was another restroom less than 50 feet from the table. The dĂŠcor was reminiscent of rural Mexico. There wasnât a theme exactly. It just felt natural.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening with our hosts and friends Nick and Lucia MontaĂąo. Always a good time here. Best margaritas in the San Fernando Valley đđť

I love their food, I love their family meals, I love their margaritas, but what keeps me coming back is there bean dip! This is a most unique restaurant with room after room and you never know where you'll end up, but the food, drinks and friendly service will make you glad you went even if you don't like bean dip, but try it before you decide that yuo don't!

We stayed in Chatsworth for only 4 nights. We thought the drinks were good, but that the food was just ok. This place had all the earmarks as an excellent Mexican restaurant and my mouth was watering while I was reading the menu. I was actually planning to come back the next night for dinner, but then food was just average. Not special enough to make us want to return a second time. It was confusing to find the building entrance and the place seemed to be more of a water hole than a dining destination. I encourage you to try it and judge for yourself. Staff was very friendly.

The bean dip served with chips was outstanding. We ordered nachos with carnitas meat. It was very good except the meat was overcooked and dry.

Love love love this authentic Mexican food restaurant. Some of the best enchiladas hue is con chorizo and chilaquiles I've ever had Generous drinks and fun for Monday night football

Really enjoyed eating and visiting with friends at this restaurant. The margarita was very tasty đ. Good service...good food!

Was excited to try the restaurant after watching the Ramsey episode. Highly disappointed maybe it was an off day? The guacamole was good but main course not so much.

Really great atmosphere. Server was Jesus S. and he was fantastic! He had a great smile with every customer, was friendly, patient, & knowledgeable. Food was really, really good - best we have had in quite some time. We will definitely return and recommend it to family & friends.

Went to Los Toros for a family birthday. Margarita's all round, lots of chips and both fresh salsa & bean dip. Who needed the huge menu? - well we did, and loved it. All. Name any major mexican food type and it's there, hot, and good. One family member has been coming back for years, we travellers have only had the chance to enjoy it a few times. Next trip we'll be back, again.
Never a disappointment
I never miss an opportunity to stop in to say hello to Nick and Lucia when I am stateside. Los Toros was our âCheersâ for over 20 years before our move to Mexico and we miss it desperately. So good to see all of our favorite servers and bartenders. And the big treat was to visit with Lucia and family during a baby shower luncheon. Thanks for all the delicious memories. Salud.
