Awesome live piano bar

By fish_biscuits |

This place is so much fun! The group of multi instrumentalists who perform every night are amazingly talented and really funny with their banter. They play for tips and shots and can bash out pretty much any tune you throw at them despite being blind drunk. It’s a great night out.

Absolute Great Time!

By Dawn C |

Went there with a Bachelorette Party and had a wonderful night! They did charge us a cover charge and it get's rather crowded but we did have a great time. The show was fantastic with high energy, talented musicians. It seemed like they all played 4 or 5 different instruments. Drinks were good and the environment was great. Will definitely go back. By the way, this is not a restaurant it is a bar/ music venue

Great music, Great Staff, Felt like Family

By Christopher B |

Was in Dallas on business for a week with 225 of my closest friends. Returned to Louie Louies 3 times over the course of the week because the music was excellent and the staff GREAT! Be sure to ask for Devil Went Down to Georgia, I love the fiddle! Special thanks for the tribute to Vets... You guys are awesome!

talent here is awesome

By Belinda V |

The talent in the bar and wait staff is awesome. We had a girl misplace her wallet. When we called back later in the night to talk to manager.....they were terrible to her. Very snappy on the phone and didn't want to even try to help here. Just wanted off the phone. For this reason alone we will not be back. Our friends will not be told to go there on their trips to Dallas. Manager needs a lesson in customer service.

Simply the best!

This is not your average duelling piano bar! Add in drums, guitars, harmonicas, etc… these musicians did it all. The vibe was great from start to finish and service matched. Will definitely be back!!

Crude humor and great music

By Shawn T |

Alot of fun. Went on our anniversary and we got our own song. If you want a request or have a special event you can write it on a napkin and put it on the piano. Putting some money along with it helps it get on the list. Smaller amounts need to go early as there will be some big spender and they get liquored up. We had one request that paid $100. I paid $5. Drinks are reasonable. There is NO FOOD which i didn't know about. I worked with our waitress on getting a pizza ordered in from Papa Johns. Wait staff was surprisingly attentive considering how many people were there. Get there a little early to get a good seat up close. Others had to stand or go on the upper balcony. Music was surprisingly good. All the musicians were funny. We enjoyed it. There were 4 guys that rotated in and out. All were great. We paid a cover charge, I think it was $10 each for a friday night.

Good tunes

A few of my friends and I stopped by to check the place out. The musicians were great! Very entertaining and kept the crowd involved. They were the highlight of the bar. There was $5 cover charge to get in, which was worth it. The waitress that we had seated us quickly. She may have been new so it took us a while to get our drinks. It was not very crowded at that point of the night but as people started to roll in it seemed hard for her to circle back to get to us for more ordered. Hopefully they get everyone trained up so they can meet demand.

Evening Out

By sittOsmoA |

My partner and I spent most of the evening on a Friday night here. The entertainment was great. The servers were welcoming and attentive. We did not drink this night but the server still made us feel welcome and took care of us well. Will definitely be back next time in Dallas.

50th Birthday Party

By luvsmntry |

We called ahead and made reservations, we had to be there by 8pm for them to hold the table for us which we were. There was a $7 cover charge. The pianist and band were great. Very entertaining and did an excellent job with crowd involvement. Just be aware, although you may pay for a requested song it doesn't guarantee they will pay it.

I love a great piano bar

By MistiATX |

When I travel on business a group of us seek out the nearest piano bar and when we walked in here, oh wow! This place has THE best entertainment I've ever seen at a dueling piano bar. They had a true act between 4 guys and a girl. They were incredible!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars

By kaykels |

I walked in here after a dinner nearby. This was unplanned and the highlight of my trip to Dallas I have been to at least a dozen piano bars all over the country in the past and I am also a musician so I tend to be critical of musicians. These guys dropped my jaw! They did the hokey sing alongs as expected. But then got up and rapped, played Metallica with drums and guitars, etc. They can play ANYTHING and one was as talented as the next. All 4 of them played all instruments, sang excellent, and could play the hell out of the piano. Oh and the waitress got up and played piano and sang too. And she was also EXCELLENT Next time I'm in Dallas I will be back!

Good times

Met here for a surprise party for a my friend and had never been to a piano bar before. Good times were had. They called her on stage and where she sang and danced. Good drinks and good times.

Celebration at Louie’s

By Barbara S |

We arrived on a Friday night to find every table booked but Nancy our waitress had a plan. If guests don’t show you’re in the 8:15 table list. By that time she had secured enough tables for our party. The service was great despite loud music and a crowd. The piano players and musicians were great. Plus they truly kept the crowd involved.

Great time, exciting atmosphere

By KenHargrave |

This was our second visit to the piano bar. I was hesitant to go the first time but my wife talked me into it. We had a great time during both visits. Any song you write on a bar napkin and pass to the musicians, with a tip, supposedly gets played. Most do, but for some reason my song choice, Let the Bodies Hit the Floor by Drowning Pool, wasnt getting played, so I tipped more with a reminder note, twice. Finally, one of the pianists played few seconds of the song, with the whispered lyrics part and then stopped. My excitement to hear my requested song was short lived and then turned to disappointment. Other than that, it was a great time and showcased lots of talent. The urinals have faces in them to urinate on. One had Kanye West, another had Justin Bieber. I chose to relieve myself on Justin's face. The place was packed both times, so show up early to get good seating. Cover charge was $9 each, but well worth it.

Loud, rambunctious, bar scene

By Culinae_Plebeius |

Not really a spot for music lovers or those expecting dueling pianists, this is a place for drinking and audience participation in songs. The stage features two "pianos," a drum set, and guitars. The band has fun and interacts with the audience. For my tastes, the venue is too loud. And while the persons on stage were clearly talented, the focus isn't on musicality. Go with a group and have fun.

So much fun!

By leahalanis |

I've been to the location in Deep Ellum a few times now and it is always SUCH a riot! These musicians are very talented. It's so much more than just piano playing here. They all play multiple instruments and can play virtually every song known to man all while putting their own humorous twist on a few of the lyrics! If you are looking for a fun place to go with a group of friends this place won't disappoint you!

Good atmosphere lots of potential

By Ddb2422 |

Large venue that is not maximizing its floor space. Came without a reservation and was told there was space at the door, took our payment and then said there was standing room only. Not optimal but understandable. Drinks are higher than expected. Almost $10 per mixed drink. Music is average compared to other piano bars that I have been to before. The show was slow going but eventually it got going. Just took a couple hours to get there. Worth the time and $15 door cover.

Fun place

I like the dueling piano thing normally but this was alot of fun. Small Wednesday night crowd but the piano guys were good at their job and i had a blast! Keep up the good work guys!!!

Great music and very fun

By tmiller461 |

Best $5 cover I have ever spent. There were 4 guys that would switch out each hour. We were there 3 hours. They were great musicians with a wide range of songs. Very funny, good with the crowds. Lots of birthdays and bachelorette parties. They would get each on stage and have fun. They used multiple instruments, not just pianos. They did a cup song. Used drums, guitars, and horns. Very talented group.

A Fun Ride

Uber talented performers playing for rarely enough patrons. The bar could definitely use a facelyft.

Thursday Night Fun

First time at a dueling piano bar. Great experience. The guys were funny and really talented. They encouraged requests and audience sing alongs. The drinks were good and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back next time I visit Dallas.

Peter messed up big time

By theeke |

After having made a reservation for a Bachelorette Party in January, Peter didn't have a table or anything ready for us. I'm very disappointed in how we were treated and how the situation was handled. I would not recommend this place and I would never go back to this place.

DOPE

This place was so awesome. Great diverse crowd. I went on Sunday night when Lock Johnsons Playground has some INCREDIBLE bands playing there. I also experience Triple D BBQ which was SOOOOO good.

Great night out!

By PJ B |

Group of 7 of us went. Got there at 7pm and sat front row. Had an absolutely amazing time. Good food, good drinks and the performers were awesome. Music variety was great. Would definitely go again next time in Dallas.

Fun!

I found this place on Trip Advisor before I came to Dallas. My fri end picked me up and he'd never been to a Piano bar. We had a great time! He's already planning on bringing a friend back. The pianists were great and the staff friendly. I called to find out the cover and was told $7, but were charged $5 at the door!

Fun night out. Good entertainment!

Live in Dallas and just now made it out to Louie Louie's with a group of friends. The place was pretty large, but they only open the second floor of the place gets packed enough. We arrived at 9:45p and that was probably just on time, because we were able to snag a table from people that got there earlier and were leaving. The place really got going around 11p though. Entertainers played all night and were good, and the servers provides timely service. We would go back again, but probably only need to go to these type of places a couple times a year.

Great NYE

By Lexi McCuskey |

We had planned to spend our NYE at the piano bar, and it didn’t let us down. We had such a blast and the GM was very accommodating to our requests. One of the best piano bars I’ve ever been to.

Great entertainment for a night out in Dallas! Superb musicians kept the crowd going until well after midnight. Highly recommend!

Don't bring your kids or Human Resources staff

By therealcyclops |

So just to warn you it has a college bar feel and is not clean. It is dark, feels dirty, and has a smell. We went here for entertainment and fun. We did not mind the ambiance. We had a great time. The dueling piano duo were awesome. They handled so many song genres with skill. They were unbelievable funny and their onstage report was fantastic. They had musical talent as much as they had comedic talent. There act is for mature audiences which is somewhat expected in a drinking establishment. Had a fantastic time before the drinking started. Memorable.

MUST VISIT

By 232tmg |

Although, the surrounding area is considered a bit rough by the locals, this place is a MUST VISIT. Get in early to get a set, there is no bad seat in the house, and they really pack the house on a Saturday night. Audience involvement is mandatory here, so be prepared to sing along and tip the talent, because they are singers and musicians and pretty damn funny. Don't hesitate to request a song or two, they look forward to those requests. In a place like this the only things that are stiff are the drinks, so rest assured all of the staff are great. Cheers!

More than just pianos

By williamrE6870OT |

Our group ended here on Friday night. We arrived early and were able to sit our entire group in one area. It was great to have a birthday girl in our group, as she was part of the musical act with others celebrating birthdays. The musicians were very talented. Impressed with variety of songs and lots of crowd interactions. While I had a beer, I assume they had a full bar to choose from. This place was open, clean and we had a clear view to the stage. I would suggest arriving earlier in the evening and stay as late as you can. Our group was totally impressed with this evening ending activity. I would recommend to add this to your must do list when visiting Dallas.
